1. 0:00to me basic SEAL training was a lifetime
2. 0:02of challenges crammed into six months so
3. 0:06here are the 10 lessons I learned from
4. 0:07basic SEAL training that hopefully will
5. 0:10be of value to you as you move forward
6. 0:11in
7. 0:12life every morning in Seal training my
8. 0:16instructors who at the time were all
9. 0:18Vietnam veterans would show up in my
10. 0:20Barracks room and the first thing they
11. 0:22do is inspect my bed if you did it right
12. 0:26the corners would be square the covers
13. 0:27would be pulled tight the pillow
14. 0:29centered just under the headboard and
15. 0:31the extra blanket folded neatly at the
16. 0:33foot of the rack it was a simple task
17. 0:36mundane at best but every morning we
18. 0:39were required to make our bed to
19. 0:42Perfection it seemed a little ridiculous
20. 0:44at the time particularly in light of the
21. 0:45fact that we were aspiring to be real
22. 0:47Warriors tough battle hardened
23. 0:50seals but the wisdom of this simple act
24. 0:53has been proven to me many times
25. 0:56over if you make your bed every morning
26. 0:59you will have accomplished the first
27. 1:01task of the day it will give you a small
28. 1:04sense of Pride and it will encourage you
29. 1:06to do another task and another and
30. 1:09another and by the end of the day that
31. 1:11one task completed will have turned into
32. 1:13many tasks completed making your bed
33. 1:15will also reinforce the fact that the
34. 1:18little things in life matter if you
35. 1:20can't do the little things right you'll
36. 1:23never be able to do the big things right
37. 1:25and if by chance you have a miserable
38. 1:27day you will come home to a bed that is
39. 1:29made
40. 1:32that you
41. 1:33made and a made bed gives you
42. 1:35encouragement that tomorrow will be
43. 1:37better so if you want to change the
44. 1:39world start off by making your bet
