- 0:48uh this past sunday
- 0:51last sunday night not when not tomorrow
- 0:54or when this is
- 0:55being posted but um um so yeah we
- 0:58it's been a pretty rough week so we've
- 1:00just kind of been
- 1:02busy with that and then you know just
- 1:05mourning i mean losing a pet's really
- 1:08hard
- 1:08a lot harder than i anticipated it to be
- 1:11um because that's the first time i've
- 1:12ever had a pet
- 1:13of my own like you know i mean we've had
- 1:16pets with our parents and stuff but
- 1:17that's the first time
- 1:19i've ever lost a pet that i've actually
- 1:20personally owned so
- 1:22it was difficult but anywho
- 1:26we are back and um
- 1:31yeah today we have a very interesting
- 1:34story for you guys
- 1:35i'm back on the uh i'm back on the case
- 1:38back in the case
- 1:39hannah's off the case oh thank god that
- 1:42it i was stumbling
- 1:43over my words the whole last two weeks
- 1:46have just been
- 1:47insane in my life so um
- 1:51and next week's not going to be any
- 1:52better because my children start school
- 1:54and i'm hoping we're going to be able to
- 1:55get an episode for you guys out friday
- 1:57um hopefully we'll be able to but it's
- 2:00going to be a busy week we have a lot of
- 2:02doctor's appointments next week and
- 2:03everything so i'm not going to bore you
- 2:05with my life
- 2:05anyways just letting you know okay
- 2:08um so today we're going to be talking
- 2:10about an abduction case
- 2:13we haven't done one of these in a while
- 2:14but you guys like those are what our
- 2:16numbers are mostly like
- 2:18you know high numbers and abduction
- 2:20cases so and this one
- 2:22this story's about i saw in a tick tock
- 2:25where there was a movie
- 2:26about it yeah it's the movie called well
- 2:29there's a couple of different
- 2:30documentaries and stuff but
- 2:31the one from tick tock is the 3096 days
- 2:36yeah that's the only reason i knows well
- 2:38i don't know of it but i've seen like
- 2:40clips of it
- 2:41yeah so i might know some things yeah
- 2:43not really
- 2:44so it's about natasha campus
- 2:47hopefully i said that last name right um
- 2:50but natasha
- 2:51this is a story
- 2:54um out of
- 2:58i'm trying to think of where it's from
- 3:01where's it from like
- 3:06it's out of austria um it was about i
- 3:09was pretty sure i was
- 3:10right but i wanted a pulse to make sure
- 3:13i was pretty sure i was right there
- 3:15um but yeah so
- 3:18the story's crazy she was for those of
- 3:21you that
- 3:22don't know spoiler alert but she was
- 3:24abducted for
- 3:25eight years um
- 3:28eight years is a long time i couldn't
- 3:32even function but it's crazy because
- 3:35some people
- 3:36bit like some people are abducted for
- 3:38like
- 3:4018 years 20 years and what about that
- 3:42last case we were doing with that
- 3:44girl that was underneath the how long
- 3:46was she
- 3:48the basement abatement the bateman the
- 3:50basement
- 3:51oh my gosh i don't even remember it was
- 3:53a long time i think it was like
- 3:5420 maybe yeah i want to say it was 20
- 3:57something
- 3:58years ago i feel like i'm going to be
- 3:59wrong yeah i can't remember we've done
- 4:01so many and we've read so much
- 4:03that you know yeah i i just get my wires
- 4:06crossed it's hard for me up
- 4:08i envy those podcasters that can like
- 4:10remember
- 4:11remember all the details i'm like i
- 4:12can't do that so um
- 4:15so anywho let's get started so natasha
- 4:18campus
- 4:19uh was abducted at age 10 march 2nd
- 4:221998 by wolfgang pricklapel
- 4:26i think i said that last name right
- 4:28doesn't really matter he's a douche but
- 4:29his first name was wolfgang which is
- 4:31really odd yeah because maybe that's
- 4:34maybe yeah
- 4:36oh i don't know maybe that's i guess
- 4:37that's a
- 4:39pop in austria last name that's mozart's
- 4:42last name i'm pretty sure
- 4:43yeah wolfgang amadeus mozart yeah it's
- 4:46his last name
- 4:48so that's weird that is his first name
- 4:50wolfgang's mozart's last name
- 4:52yeah wolfgang amadeus mozart no wait
- 4:56no first name okay never mind oh you
- 4:58said that i was like
- 4:59i was thinking mozart i was doing it
- 5:01backwards in my head go ahead yeah
- 5:03okay sorry i don't know you know about
- 5:06music yeah
- 5:07um i know who mozart is but that's about
- 5:09it so
- 5:10she was walking to school one morning
- 5:12and she lived in the
- 5:14vienna's district in these like
- 5:16apartment complexes
- 5:18and her mom said that you know her mom
- 5:21would watch her out the window and make
- 5:22sure she got
- 5:23around because once she got to the end
- 5:25of the street
- 5:27it was pretty much she was right there
- 5:28at the school and there was
- 5:30other kids and parents and stuff like
- 5:32that so she didn't really worry about
- 5:33her and she had been
- 5:35walking to school most days um i watched
- 5:38a documentary type thing on
- 5:41uh netflix and so
- 5:44um it's pretty interesting they're they
- 5:46obviously don't speak
- 5:48english but they dub it oh they they
- 5:52like you know they'll speak in their
- 5:54regular language their regular language
- 5:56and then they'll
- 5:57talk you know yeah because my daughter
- 5:58was like what are they how do you know
- 6:00what they're saying
- 6:01i was like just wait and there's the
- 6:03english okay
- 6:04but anyways um so yeah she was
- 6:08walking to school and she was literally
- 6:10like
- 6:11less than a block from school and she
- 6:14said that she saw this van and it was a
- 6:16white van
- 6:16and there was this man standing outside
- 6:18of the white van but he looked like a
- 6:20normal
- 6:21man you know and she's 10 so i mean
- 6:23she's not a little
- 6:24you know she's still not a teenager but
- 6:26she's not a little little kid you know
- 6:28so she said she was just walking and as
- 6:31soon as she walked
- 6:32past the van the man grabbed her from
- 6:34behind and
- 6:35pulled her into the van
- 6:38she said she remembers that they drove
- 6:40for a long time
- 6:42it felt like a long time but it wasn't
- 6:44as long as
- 6:45i guess it could have been but she said
- 6:48when they arrived to the house
- 6:50he put a blue blanket over her head
- 6:53and then he dragged her into the seller
- 6:58or the seller type thing
- 7:01what she assumed was a seller and we'll
- 7:03we'll talk about that
- 7:05um and then when natasha did not return
- 7:08home from school her mom said that she
- 7:10she was about 10 minutes late and she's
- 7:12usually never late
- 7:13so she started calling people i believe
- 7:16she called um
- 7:18like what would be the office at their
- 7:20school she called it something else but
- 7:22um she called them and you know they
- 7:24they said no she's not here
- 7:26you know she was fast on the case it's
- 7:28only 10 minutes yeah yeah i mean because
- 7:30she was like it was not
- 7:31it was not like her to be late and after
- 7:33about 10 minutes she
- 7:34started to get worried yeah um she just
- 7:37knew something was wrong
- 7:39so this case is a little different as
- 7:42far as um
- 7:45what he does like he kind of just keeps
- 7:48her
- 7:50prisoner basically for a good while and
- 7:53we'll talk about all of it but i'm just
- 7:55gonna i thought you said
- 7:57we'll talk about it i love it but you
- 7:58said oh no all of it's like
- 8:01all of it i don't love it
- 8:04um the first she said the first day that
- 8:07he
- 8:08brought her a thin foam mattress and she
- 8:11had a blanket like the
- 8:13the blue blanket that she had over her
- 8:14head she had that she didn't have a
- 8:16pillow but she used her jacket that she
- 8:18had
- 8:19and put it like bundled up she also said
- 8:21that
- 8:22she was wearing a dress
- 8:25and she had stockings and everything on
- 8:28she was just trying to keep as much
- 8:30clothing on as she could because she
- 8:32said that she knew
- 8:33she felt like if she took any of her
- 8:35clothes off maybe he would
- 8:37you know do something and um she didn't
- 8:39want that to happen right then and this
- 8:40is all
- 8:41stuff that she was saying in the
- 8:42documentary well i can't believe she's
- 8:44thinking about that
- 8:45yeah um meanwhile a massive
- 8:49search had started underway for her
- 8:52um a 12 year old girl
- 8:55said that she thought that she saw a man
- 8:58two men actually
- 8:59dragging her into a white van a white
- 9:02minivan
- 9:03so it wasn't two men
- 9:06or natasha said that she doesn't ever
- 9:08remember there being two men
- 9:10if there was a second one she never saw
- 9:11it or anything like that so
- 9:13that was just him it was probably just
- 9:16him that's probably what she saw maybe
- 9:17she thought she saw another man
- 9:20so they're looking for
- 9:24a minivan the police they have they
- 9:25immediately start looking
- 9:27all over for this minivan and natasha
- 9:29said that she didn't have
- 9:31any way to connect to contact the man
- 9:34while she was down in the basement
- 9:35so i'm going to kind of flip back and
- 9:36forth between like at one point i'll
- 9:39talk about the investigation and then
- 9:40i'll talk about natasha so
- 9:42um she said that like down in the
- 9:45basement
- 9:47she like once he left there was no way
- 9:49to communicate with him
- 9:51and the walls of the basement were super
- 9:53thick and
- 9:54well like i said we'll get to what it
- 9:57actually was because it's kind of crazy
- 9:59and um so
- 10:02she said that she would just sit in
- 10:05there
- 10:05in the dark and then every day he would
- 10:07come in
- 10:09and bring her you know something like
- 10:12food and
- 10:13stuff clothing yeah yeah
- 10:16um but after a while i never could
- 10:20pinpoint exactly the time frames of all
- 10:23these things she would just say
- 10:25because she didn't know she said
- 10:27sometimes it would feel like maybe a
- 10:28year would go by six months would go by
- 10:30two years would go by
- 10:32she said after a while and i think it
- 10:33was after about like three months or so
- 10:36he finally installed like a voice uh
- 10:39intercom
- 10:39system type thing to communicate with
- 10:41her so he hasn't
- 10:43um like done anything to her yet right
- 10:47no um i believe that comes
- 10:52much later i'm thinking it comes like
- 10:55maybe two or three years later
- 10:57um i'm not really sure why
- 11:01and by other stuff i know you mean like
- 11:03sexual things
- 11:04yeah um she never really came out and
- 11:07said that she and we'll get to why she
- 11:09never came out and said that she was
- 11:12raped or anything like that on wikipedia
- 11:14it says that she was
- 11:15um after a few years maybe she just
- 11:18didn't want to talk about it
- 11:19well it's kind of how the media treated
- 11:21her
- 11:22and she just there were some things she
- 11:24wanted to keep to herself is what she
- 11:26said and she felt like
- 11:28we'll get to how the media treated her
- 11:30at the end but um
- 11:31that's perfectly fine like keeping that
- 11:33to yourself like she doesn't have to
- 11:34tell you no no i mean i don't i don't i
- 11:36mean i'm sure it happened i have no
- 11:37doubt
- 11:38but i don't need to know when yeah or
- 11:40whatever you don't need
- 11:41no details if she doesn't want to tell
- 11:42us you know um
- 11:44she said that the seller that he kept
- 11:46her in was small
- 11:48and it was underneath the garage
- 11:50actually
- 11:51the entrance was hidden behind a
- 11:53cupboard
- 11:54so like there was a small little
- 11:56cupboard and it was in the entrance to
- 11:57this like you had to pull out like this
- 11:59uh
- 12:00safe or something in order to get behind
- 12:02the wall
- 12:03and that's where the entrance was the
- 12:05seller had a door that was made of
- 12:07concrete and reinforced with steel the
- 12:10room she was in
- 12:11was about 54 square feet
- 12:14don't ask me how big 54 square feet is
- 12:17but i'm assuming
- 12:18from the pictures it looked like the
- 12:20room
- 12:23was probably
- 12:26a little bit bigger than the size of my
- 12:28bathroom to give you kind of a
- 12:30okay yeah i mean it was not big at all i
- 12:33mean wow
- 12:33it was smaller than my bedroom it was
- 12:35smaller than this room smaller than our
- 12:37bedroom so like a hotel
- 12:38bathroom pretty much if you think of a
- 12:40regular no it's bigger than that
- 12:42bigger than that yeah i mean i don't
- 12:44know how big 54 square feet
- 12:46is but it's not big
- 12:49yeah i mean so y'all's house like
- 12:52the mom and dad's trailer is like 60
- 12:56something foot
- 12:57yeah lengthwise so if you took half of
- 13:01that or
- 13:0250 54 foot of that and made it into a
- 13:05box i mean
- 13:06you can kind of get the gist it wasn't
- 13:07very big it wasn't bad um
- 13:11but she did have from the pictures that
- 13:12i saw she did have
- 13:14like um
- 13:17water toilets there were some other
- 13:20things now i don't know if he
- 13:22put that in over time or if he had that
- 13:25in already
- 13:26i never got i never could find any
- 13:29information out about that
- 13:31but um this kind of reminded me of the
- 13:34story that we were talking about but the
- 13:35girl
- 13:36and her dad put her down there now
- 13:39there were no windows and the room was
- 13:42soundproof and you actually had to crawl
- 13:45into the entrance so once you pulled the
- 13:48um once you went down
- 13:51under the uh
- 13:55what'd i say the entrance was like a
- 13:58garage
- 13:59once you know the garage yeah once you
- 14:00went down under there
- 14:02you would pull this um
- 14:06what did i say it was
- 14:09a uh the crawl space right no what's
- 14:12that thing called
- 14:13a safe cheese you pull the safe out and
- 14:16then there was this hole in the wall
- 14:17where you would crawl through the wall
- 14:18then on the other side there would be a
- 14:21reinforced steel door with concrete that
- 14:23you'd push
- 14:23open and then you'd hop down and then
- 14:26the other room was in there so yeah he
- 14:29made like
- 14:30yeah yeah he did a lot of stuff he made
- 14:33a lot of stuff
- 14:34so he was actually a contract um
- 14:37for different buildings like housing
- 14:39building stuff his
- 14:40his uh one of his colleagues which we'll
- 14:43mention
- 14:43in this um he actually said that he
- 14:46asked him
- 14:47he remembers him asking him at one point
- 14:50and it must have been
- 14:50while he was building this he remembered
- 14:53asking him if you wanted to
- 14:54sound proof something and he wanted to
- 14:56make something to where nobody could
- 14:58hear
- 14:59uh what did he say i think it was like
- 15:02nobody could hear a nail gun
- 15:03that's what he said he said what do you
- 15:05think would be the best way and he was
- 15:06like well you probably want to
- 15:08like put a thick concrete maybe
- 15:10something like that
- 15:12and the guy said he was sickened to find
- 15:14out that that's what he was
- 15:16asking him about you know so
- 15:19um the police meanwhile
- 15:22while she's in the seller and
- 15:26barely getting fed every day and just
- 15:28kind of he kind of just
- 15:30he feeds her enough to keep her alive
- 15:31but he doesn't feed her enough for her
- 15:33to like
- 15:33be sustained is what she said and he
- 15:35kind of does that the entire time
- 15:38um the police were examining minivans
- 15:41they actually examined 776
- 15:44minivans including wolfgang's fan
- 15:47yeah that's right um he only lived
- 15:51half an hour from the abduction site
- 15:54and he stated that when they asked him
- 15:57like they they searched his van and he
- 16:00had like concrete and stuff in it and
- 16:02all this different work equipment
- 16:03because you know he's a contractor
- 16:05and he stated that he was at home alone
- 16:07the whole morning
- 16:08that she was abducted and he had no
- 16:11criminal record
- 16:12so they didn't really investigate him
- 16:14any further
- 16:15they just kind of believed a story just
- 16:16simply because he didn't have a criminal
- 16:18record there wasn't any flags that went
- 16:20off or anything like that
- 16:22um but they invest i mean you know they
- 16:25were investigating
- 16:26776 fans for god's sakes
- 16:29now eight days after the police
- 16:32questioned
- 16:33him um they received an a tip from
- 16:36somebody it was a man and i think it was
- 16:38his neighbor and he was also a
- 16:41i can't remember if he was a retired um
- 16:43police detective or if he was
- 16:45police detective i don't think he was he
- 16:47was i think he was retired
- 16:49but anywho the man was the neighbor and
- 16:51he said
- 16:52that um
- 16:56he said that he was a recluse like
- 16:58wolfgang was a recluse
- 17:00who owns a white truck he was a shy
- 17:03loner
- 17:04who has uh surveillance cameras around
- 17:07his house
- 17:08and he is thought to have a sexual
- 17:11interest in children
- 17:12i don't know how he knew that i guess
- 17:13people in the town probably
- 17:15thought that maybe um the town he's
- 17:18living in
- 17:19gets the tip from the town that she was
- 17:22abducted from
- 17:23they get the tip and then the police
- 17:26just remember that they had already
- 17:29talked to him
- 17:30so they don't do anything with it they
- 17:33don't go check on they don't do anything
- 17:35yeah they just file it away really yep
- 17:38really
- 17:39never go check on the house or anything
- 17:42like that which is crazy to me
- 17:44um natasha said
- 17:47that um he eventually installed a timer
- 17:52in the cellar where the lights would go
- 17:54on and off because before that
- 17:56she was pretty much just in the dark 90
- 17:59of the time until he came down there
- 18:00and turned the lights on um
- 18:04he she said that it was always humid and
- 18:07wet in the cellar
- 18:11she said that it also smelled like mold
- 18:14all the time
- 18:14and there was bugs everywhere because
- 18:18i mean it's underground basically
- 18:21and the yeah he poured con i don't
- 18:23really know if he poured concrete
- 18:25i guess he did um
- 18:28or put concrete up in it or whatever to
- 18:32reinforce the walls but yeah i mean it's
- 18:34it's
- 18:35she said that the whole time that she
- 18:38was there
- 18:39all the whole eight years i mean it was
- 18:40really molded and mildewed and i'm
- 18:42really surprised that she didn't get
- 18:44some sort of cancer or something and die
- 18:46to be perfectly honest but um you know
- 18:49that's surprising that she and also she
- 18:51wasn't like sick all the time
- 18:53yeah when natasha was eventually
- 18:56allowed to come upstairs either it was
- 18:59either six months
- 19:00or a year after she had been there um
- 19:04there was conflicting reports she was
- 19:06still in the darkness
- 19:07because he would close the blinds and
- 19:10lock all the doors
- 19:11and he would not like let her see any
- 19:14daylight which i thought was really odd
- 19:16i was like why does it matter
- 19:18um because he had i guess he had
- 19:20blackout
- 19:21curtains or blinds or whatever i guess
- 19:23they were dark
- 19:25because she said there was barely any
- 19:26light coming from them
- 19:28um he also of course kept all the doors
- 19:30locked because he didn't want her to
- 19:31escape
- 19:32he began to make her kind of like his
- 19:35slave
- 19:36um she was made to cook for him and
- 19:38clean for him
- 19:40she also said at one point that
- 19:43and i think that was when the sexual
- 19:45things started happening
- 19:46about two years after she one to two
- 19:48years after she had been there
- 19:50um so she would have been 12.
- 19:54and she said he also like even when he
- 19:57was sick
- 19:58he would like let her out of the cellar
- 20:00just to come up there to take care of
- 20:01him
- 20:02i would have poisoned his food yeah be
- 20:04perfectly honest but um
- 20:06he would have people like
- 20:10he worked for over at his house not all
- 20:12the time
- 20:13but he would have like colleagues or
- 20:16something like that stop
- 20:17by and nobody ever noticed anything like
- 20:20the guy
- 20:21one of the colleagues that was in the
- 20:23documentary he said he had been there
- 20:25before
- 20:26and he never even noticed
- 20:29like anything out of the ordinary no you
- 20:32let her up there
- 20:36he wouldn't hear anything no he wouldn't
- 20:38hear anything or nothing like that
- 20:40weird things yeah natasha go ahead and
- 20:43then also if
- 20:46if this is in his um not his basement
- 20:49but his
- 20:51garage if it's in his garage
- 20:54why isn't anybody like asking
- 20:58why what's in the garage like it's got
- 21:00to be
- 21:01like his car shouldn't be in there why
- 21:04like why people are asking why isn't
- 21:05your car in the garage this car is in
- 21:07the garage
- 21:08okay so it's so when you're in the
- 21:09garage i'm so confused
- 21:11when you're it's kind of complicated
- 21:13you'd have to look at pictures of it but
- 21:14when you're in the garage um
- 21:20let me look a picture of pictures yeah
- 21:23you have to look at pictures because
- 21:24it's kind of complicated to explain but
- 21:26i mean
- 21:27while you're doing that i'll read um or
- 21:30talk more
- 21:31so she said that
- 21:34natasha said that he would starve her
- 21:38um he kept her weak so that way she
- 21:40wouldn't run away her body mass was only
- 21:4414.8
- 21:45like on the scale you know your body
- 21:47mass
- 21:48and it's at her age it was supposed to
- 21:50be around um
- 21:5118 really skinny and not anywhere near
- 21:55what she you know should have been
- 21:59um she said that he was obsessed
- 22:02wolfgang was obsessed
- 22:03with cleaning and having things neat
- 22:07he would make her wear a plastic bag on
- 22:09her head
- 22:11and he would actually she said it was
- 22:13really painful because she had to wear a
- 22:15plastic bag on her head
- 22:17and it was clipped on there with clips
- 22:20and they would like dig into her scalp
- 22:22and everything he didn't want her hair
- 22:24getting everywhere
- 22:25he also didn't want her fingerprints on
- 22:27anything so if he saw a fingerprint like
- 22:30if she was cleaning
- 22:31and he saw a fingerprint on like glass
- 22:33or something he would like
- 22:35beat her and make her clean it off
- 22:38probably because she was thinking it's
- 22:40probably she actually said that she said
- 22:41i think it's because he probably
- 22:44didn't want any evidence left behind
- 22:47because her hair or her fingerprints or
- 22:49anything like that
- 22:50yeah but it was still really weird
- 22:54so anywho i don't know what just
- 22:57happened to the
- 22:58podcast but okay i looked up so yeah
- 23:02and stuff and i saw it yeah um
- 23:05it it pretty much is
- 23:08through the yeah it's like it was like
- 23:11yeah you had to move something and then
- 23:13you crawled through to the other side
- 23:14so yeah um
- 23:18yeah but like i said he didn't like for
- 23:22things to be
- 23:23messy and all that stuff um he also
- 23:27would punish her if she
- 23:30did anything that he didn't like which
- 23:32obviously we kind of figured that
- 23:34um you know he'd slap her around and
- 23:36stuff like that he eventually cut
- 23:38all of her hair off it started out she
- 23:42thought to her she said she actually
- 23:44told him she was like well i'll just cut
- 23:45my hair
- 23:46if it's such a big deal you know instead
- 23:48of me wearing this thing on my head all
- 23:49the time i'll just cut my hair
- 23:51so she cut it he gave her a pair of
- 23:53scissors and she cut it short
- 23:55but he said that he was going to cut it
- 23:57shorter and he just
- 23:59cut all her hair off pretty much i mean
- 24:01it was super super short
- 24:03he would also abuse her um
- 24:07to the point where she she said that she
- 24:10felt like he was just trying to have a
- 24:12submissive slave basically like that's
- 24:14what he was trying to do
- 24:15yeah um
- 24:18which is crazy and well i'll explain
- 24:20that at the end he would also tell her
- 24:22that he had explosives on the doors
- 24:26and then he had a gun and if she ever
- 24:28tried to leave he would shoot her
- 24:30and he would also threaten her family
- 24:32you know and say that he knew where her
- 24:33mother lived and all this stuff so
- 24:35he would kill her you know mom and dad
- 24:38and all this so
- 24:39like they normally a lot of cases like
- 24:42this we've heard them say that
- 24:44um so a little bit about wolfgang was
- 24:47that he was an only child
- 24:49according to his colleague that he
- 24:51worked with and
- 24:52he also like after his father died he
- 24:55kind of developed
- 24:56a intense relationship with his mother
- 24:59i'm not quite sure what that means
- 25:01um i couldn't find anything like i
- 25:03wanted to know like what kind of intense
- 25:05relationship with his mother like are we
- 25:07talking like
- 25:08that kind of intense relationship but
- 25:11um i don't know that would explain a lot
- 25:14yeah
- 25:14i don't know if maybe it was like a
- 25:16norman bates situation i'm not sure
- 25:19but um yeah it was really strange
- 25:22um but he also said that he
- 25:26had high demands for women like what he
- 25:29wanted them to be
- 25:31grass his colleague said that he needed
- 25:34um that the women needed to be
- 25:38clean slim and blonde so they needed to
- 25:41be
- 25:42basically like models i guess you could
- 25:44say
- 25:46basically like a child yeah
- 25:49well she was blonde and she was a child
- 25:52a child
- 25:52so you're just a pedophile pretty much
- 25:54yes
- 25:56um in 2002 so this is
- 26:00a pretty lengthy amount of time uh there
- 26:03was a private
- 26:04detective on the case and he came up
- 26:07with
- 26:07this crazy theory that natasha's mother
- 26:11was having an affair with a businessman
- 26:13and natasha was in the way
- 26:15so she killed them and buried so she
- 26:17killed her and buried her in
- 26:19um the spot that he thought her body was
- 26:22in
- 26:22like it was this whole flight fiasco
- 26:24thing wow her mom said yeah she was her
- 26:26mom was like
- 26:26she she was like yeah i was pissed
- 26:28because no evidence or nothing just no
- 26:30top of his head yeah much so the where
- 26:34this guy
- 26:34thought that natasha was buried they dug
- 26:36it up and obviously there was nobody
- 26:38there
- 26:39and um you know so nothing came of that
- 26:41of course but
- 26:42i just thought that was crazy that this
- 26:43random private detective was like you
- 26:45know what
- 26:45effects the mother did it and they
- 26:48actually
- 26:49think yeah they actually like were like
- 26:52yeah let's dig up this
- 26:54whole piece of land just to find out how
- 26:56about you do your job i don't know
- 26:58it was weird it's so funny how they'll
- 27:00accuse her of that do all that but they
- 27:02couldn't even like check a van
- 27:03or literally go look at the assessment
- 27:06yeah if they would have
- 27:07if they would have opened up all the
- 27:10files again
- 27:11on the people because he was filed away
- 27:13as like a
- 27:14person of interest but he was never
- 27:16taught to again
- 27:17yeah so if they would have just looked
- 27:19that up again
- 27:20probably would have seen her in 2002 she
- 27:23didn't escape to 2006
- 27:25so they probably just needed like a
- 27:27search dog in there and then the dog
- 27:29would have smelled her
- 27:30bar maybe yeah especially since she had
- 27:33been upstairs at that point
- 27:34i think that's what they need to do if
- 27:36anybody's in like
- 27:38a suspect and they're looking for
- 27:40somebody yeah
- 27:42so natasha said that she thought many
- 27:44times about ending it
- 27:46her life um but she didn't want to give
- 27:48up
- 27:49she said that it would have been like
- 27:52giving in
- 27:53you know and she just wanted to keep
- 27:55fighting
- 27:56um he eventually gave her books to read
- 28:00and would kind of like give her stuff to
- 28:03help her with their education
- 28:05he would buy her math books too because
- 28:07she said that she asked for them she
- 28:09said
- 28:09that she also asked to take like math
- 28:12tests
- 28:13and he could grade them because he was
- 28:15pretty smart you know
- 28:16yeah and so he would do that but she
- 28:19said
- 28:20it just became like a way for him to
- 28:22just dominate her
- 28:24because he would always she said that he
- 28:26would always
- 28:27take a red marker and mark every single
- 28:29question wrong
- 28:31and then get on to her and like be mad
- 28:33at her for
- 28:34not knowing what she was doing but she
- 28:37said that she knew some of the answers
- 28:38were right that she did
- 28:40it was just weird it was like weird it
- 28:42was like he was
- 28:43trying to make her feel dumb pretty much
- 28:45yeah
- 28:46trying to break her yeah um
- 28:50over the years the police would tell her
- 28:52mom to buy a plot
- 28:54and visit her because they prob they
- 28:56thought that she was dead they're like
- 28:58she's probably dead so you just need to
- 29:00buy a gravestone and like that'll be a
- 29:02spot you can visit her at
- 29:03but even though there was no evidence or
- 29:06even a body found they still told her
- 29:08this which was crazy to me
- 29:10usually they don't tell parents that
- 29:11well here in the here in the u.s they
- 29:13don't
- 29:13you know unless they find a body they
- 29:15don't believe they don't
- 29:16say that they're dead or anything like
- 29:20that
- 29:21um but natasha's mom
- 29:25the whole eight years even up until she
- 29:28was found you know she was like
- 29:30i believed that she was still alive i
- 29:32could just feel that she was still alive
- 29:34and there's a lot of parents like that
- 29:35we've done these abduction stories on
- 29:36that
- 29:37you know always can just tell whether or
- 29:40not their
- 29:41child's gone or not which is crazy to me
- 29:44i don't know what i would do if
- 29:45like a kid even adeline if anyone was
- 29:48gone
- 29:49i wouldn't stop searching i could
- 29:51understand
- 29:52why parents keep searching oh yeah i can
- 29:55too because i wouldn't
- 29:57yeah i would never be able to stop
- 30:00searching
- 30:02natasha said that after a few years um
- 30:05he would let her go out into this garden
- 30:08that he had
- 30:10and but he would only let her go out at
- 30:11night and she would
- 30:13she would ask if she could pick
- 30:14different flowers and different things
- 30:16to take back to the cellar and he was
- 30:17like sure
- 30:18you know whatever um
- 30:21she said that after some time see she
- 30:24just kept saying after some time after
- 30:27a couple years you know she would say
- 30:28that over and over so i don't really
- 30:30know exactly when
- 30:31but after some time she said that um
- 30:36he started you know
- 30:40taking her out like he he worked
- 30:43um on different apartments and stuff
- 30:45like he would renovate them
- 30:47and so he would take her to work and he
- 30:49would be like
- 30:50he wouldn't let her talk to anybody but
- 30:53he would always
- 30:54like if somebody would come up to her
- 30:55she would conveniently always have like
- 30:57bricks in her hand or something she was
- 30:58carrying he would just say oh this is my
- 31:00helper or something like that
- 31:01okay she wasn't really a kid at that
- 31:03point she was probably like
- 31:05a teenager you know a teenager 14 15 16
- 31:08somewhere in there so
- 31:09um obviously nobody's gonna ask
- 31:11questions and they're just gonna think
- 31:12okay whatever
- 31:13uh but yeah he would you know he felt
- 31:16confident that she wasn't gonna go
- 31:17anywhere
- 31:18and she everybody always asked her like
- 31:21they always thought that she had
- 31:22stockholm syndrome and she kind of gets
- 31:24really upset when people think that
- 31:26because she said it's not like that at
- 31:27all it's just
- 31:29and there's a lot of abduction cases
- 31:31where people automatically are like you
- 31:33must have stockholm syndrome you didn't
- 31:35flee and run and leave and it's like
- 31:37well no it's not that it's just that
- 31:40he was so abusive sexually and
- 31:43physically and all this stuff and
- 31:45she was so wore down that she said that
- 31:48she
- 31:50thought that she there was no way she
- 31:52was gonna get away yeah you know what i
- 31:53mean and also he said that he would do
- 31:55something to her family
- 31:57or he would just shoot her yeah and
- 31:59she's just scared of that too
- 32:00i mean and he probably brain wayne
- 32:03washed her
- 32:04blame wasp probably brainwashed her
- 32:08into thinking that she could never
- 32:10escape she could never get away
- 32:11you know because this was seven years
- 32:14after she had been there
- 32:15that he started letting her go to work
- 32:16you know yeah so i mean
- 32:20yeah that's a long time um
- 32:23so i can understand why people
- 32:27you know we and there was another report
- 32:28that said that she
- 32:30went on a ski trip with him and i think
- 32:32that's in that movie that three thousand
- 32:35ninety six ninety six days yeah um
- 32:38they went on like a ski trip or
- 32:40something like that and
- 32:42she didn't run away you know and just
- 32:45all this different stuff but i mean i
- 32:48can understand why she didn't run away
- 32:49for sure
- 32:50she did say that at one point though
- 32:53they were
- 32:54in town and there was a roadblock and
- 32:56there was a police officer
- 32:58and she said that she was in the
- 33:00passenger seat and she was trying to
- 33:02signal the police officer with like her
- 33:04eyes she was like making all these eye
- 33:05contacts you know moving her eyes around
- 33:08looking at him looking at the police
- 33:10officer had this look on her face
- 33:12and she said the police officer she said
- 33:15the police officer must have been stupid
- 33:17because he didn't get my
- 33:19he didn't get my uh cues and i was like
- 33:22that sucks like if i saw a kid
- 33:26looking around like that i'd be like are
- 33:27you all right are you okay
- 33:29yeah because she didn't escape till she
- 33:30was 18 so she's still a teenager plus
- 33:33she's really skinny and malnourished
- 33:35looking and that's another thing she
- 33:36said she said i didn't look like a
- 33:38typical
- 33:3815 16 year old like her hair is skinny
- 33:41knotted yeah
- 33:42really cut your short shorts shorts yeah
- 33:45and maybe
- 33:46she said i was pale i never got out in
- 33:48the sun
- 33:50so yeah i mean i don't understand why he
- 33:53didn't
- 33:53think oh something's wrong here
- 33:56um so yeah she just she lived a pretty
- 34:00shitty life i mean it's not like you
- 34:03know
- 34:03obviously she would have much rather
- 34:05have been home with her parents and
- 34:07for anybody that thinks she had
- 34:09stockholm syndrome and
- 34:10she was okay with being where she was
- 34:12she wasn't okay with being where she was
- 34:14she was just trying to survive
- 34:16um and anyone that does have stuff
- 34:19stockholm syndrome to me i feel like
- 34:21is more or less of like
- 34:24if you have a way to escape and you do
- 34:27leave but you come back
- 34:28yeah or something like that like you
- 34:30actually
- 34:32are so brainwashed to the point where
- 34:33you love this person yeah and that was
- 34:35that wasn't the case and we're going to
- 34:37talk about her escape so
- 34:39that's where we're at
- 34:42so the 18 year old natasha escaped from
- 34:46wolfgang's house on august 23rd
- 34:502006 at 12 53 p.m
- 34:54she was cleaning and vacuuming his
- 34:57automobile in the garden
- 34:59when he got a call on his mobile phone
- 35:02because of the vacuum's loud noise he
- 35:03walked away to take the call which he
- 35:05didn't really ever do he kind of just
- 35:08hovered around her a lot he never let
- 35:11her go anywhere by herself
- 35:13um so natasha
- 35:16left the vacuum cleaner running and she
- 35:19ran away
- 35:20right there so she just like ran
- 35:24uh she was he didn't see because he
- 35:27thought she was still vacuuming
- 35:28and he he completed the phone call and
- 35:31without any sign he
- 35:33of of being disturbed or distracted
- 35:38natasha ran for some
- 35:41200 meters through neighborhoods gardens
- 35:44streets
- 35:44she jumped fences she asked passerbys to
- 35:48call the police
- 35:50but they paid her no attention which
- 35:53they just didn't want to get involved um
- 35:55after about five minutes she knocked on
- 35:57the window of a 71 year old
- 35:59man known as
- 36:04[Music]
- 36:06i don't know saying i am natasha
- 36:10um campus then um can you please like
- 36:14you know call the police yeah uh the
- 36:16neighbor called the police and
- 36:18who arrived around 104 so
- 36:22and then from 1253 to 104. okay
- 36:25um that's the short amount of time you
- 36:28know
- 36:29later natasha was taken to the police
- 36:31station in town
- 36:33natasha was identified by scars on her
- 36:36body
- 36:37and by her passport that was something i
- 36:39forgot to mention she
- 36:40actually had her passport on her because
- 36:42her family when she was abducted
- 36:44her family had just gotten um back from
- 36:47like a trip
- 36:48and so she still had her passport in her
- 36:50wallet and her
- 36:51in her book bag and so um
- 36:54she had it the whole time even when she
- 36:57was
- 36:57and and we'll get to why that's
- 37:00important too
- 37:01for at one point the police i guess i'll
- 37:04go ahead and say at one point the police
- 37:05thought that maybe she had been a victim
- 37:08of sex trafficking
- 37:09or um prostitution or something like
- 37:12that because they were
- 37:14they knew that she had her passport so
- 37:15they were thinking okay well she's
- 37:16probably like
- 37:17overseas by now you know or gone another
- 37:20country so
- 37:22um they also did a dna test
- 37:25and she was in good physical health
- 37:27although
- 37:28she was pale shaken and of course
- 37:31um she only weighed 106 pounds she
- 37:34weighed 99 pounds when she was abducted
- 37:37eight years prior to that
- 37:38wow she's like 18 right yeah wow so
- 37:41she weighed 99 pounds when she was
- 37:43abducted at 10 and at 18 she only
- 37:45weighed 106.
- 37:46so she only gained like seven pounds
- 37:48over an eight period
- 37:50wow um
- 37:54she only grew five inches
- 37:58during her captivity as well so that's
- 38:02another thing so
- 38:07sabin i'm not only going to try to say
- 38:08his last name it was a police officer
- 38:10he was the first police officer to speak
- 38:12with natasha after her ordeal
- 38:14and she said that she was astonished
- 38:19of the the woman police officer said
- 38:21that she was astonished by
- 38:22her intellect and her vocabulary after
- 38:25two years
- 38:26wolfgang like i said would bring her
- 38:28books newspapers
- 38:30she would listen to the radio and stuff
- 38:31like that and he would
- 38:34help her with her education um but she
- 38:37also
- 38:38like taught herself a lot of things she
- 38:41also stated that she
- 38:42constantly had the feeling that she
- 38:46liked something
- 38:49she said that she felt like she had a
- 38:50defect so i wanted to make that better
- 38:53and i tried to educate myself
- 38:55this is natasha talking to teach myself
- 38:58skills and to learn how to knit
- 39:00for example so yeah um
- 39:04crazy thing this part
- 39:08pisses me off after the police talk to
- 39:11her and everything and they find out
- 39:13you know that it's wolfgang and
- 39:18he realized that she was gone
- 39:21after you know a while and he was like
- 39:24he basically
- 39:25obviously i don't know because we don't
- 39:27really know what was going through his
- 39:28head but he obviously knew he was fist
- 39:29and get caught
- 39:30yeah so he walks or drives or walks i
- 39:34think he drives to a train station
- 39:35nearby
- 39:36uh goes out on the train tracks lays
- 39:38down and a train comes and cuts his head
- 39:40off
- 39:41so he commits suicide one [ __ ] what a
- 39:44douchebag
- 39:46yeah he commits suicide um
- 39:49so he never got his uh just
- 39:53she never got her gesture she never got
- 39:55her justice he never got his
- 39:57uh i don't know what i'm trying to say
- 40:00but
- 40:00i know what you're trying to say but i
- 40:01can't think of the word
- 40:04but anyways so i just thought that was
- 40:05that was shitty but um
- 40:08so after all that after
- 40:11he commits suicide she's you know
- 40:14finally reunited with her mom and
- 40:16everything then the media
- 40:18starts saying a bunch of
- 40:21just crap they started saying that she
- 40:26was of course she had stockholm syndrome
- 40:28they started saying that she was
- 40:30in a prostitution ring or that she was
- 40:34yeah i don't understand i don't know she
- 40:36just said that the media
- 40:37like did they twist her words or did
- 40:39they just not interview her and so
- 40:41and they were like yeah sounds like a
- 40:43sex a sounds like a
- 40:45sexual ring and it ended up and that
- 40:47just no
- 40:48i'm just i hate the media period
- 40:52yeah um so
- 40:55she after that after the media kind of
- 40:58treated her like crap
- 40:59and didn't really ever want to listen to
- 41:02her story
- 41:03she just said that that was why she
- 41:04never came out with
- 41:07all the things that happened to her and
- 41:08i don't blame her i mean
- 41:11i would do the same thing because
- 41:14it was probably hard for her to tell
- 41:16every detail
- 41:18of stuff that he made her do
- 41:21um there's several books about this um
- 41:24abduction there's several movies or
- 41:27documentaries films things like that
- 41:30um but the recent one that people on
- 41:33take top have been talking about
- 41:35is the 3096
- 41:38days because that's how long she was in
- 41:40captivity
- 41:41yeah um so yeah that is the story
- 41:46of natasha campus and
- 41:49how she survived eight years of being in
- 41:52captivity
- 41:53um by this man who sounds like he had
- 41:58mommy issues
- 41:59and needed to be a dominant to someone
- 42:03which i'm like you know get a dom i mean
- 42:06get a submissive
- 42:09i'm sure you could have found one
- 42:10somewhere out there um
- 42:12usually guys that have daddy issues i
- 42:14mean mommy issues
- 42:16daddy issues more like they're more
- 42:19crying and stuff but like mommy issues
- 42:23most of the time they're gonna be really
- 42:25tough like i'm a tough guy
- 42:27well she said this is crazy to me she
- 42:30said that um
- 42:32she forgave him every time he would do
- 42:35something
- 42:36to her sexually or
- 42:40you know physically or something like
- 42:41that she said she would forgive him
- 42:43because
- 42:44she said that she didn't want to hold on
- 42:46to that which i i get that
- 42:48but she also said that she kind of
- 42:50sympathized with him
- 42:52she said because she felt like he was
- 42:55sick
- 42:56she felt like and that's what she said
- 42:58in the interview she said i felt like he
- 42:59was sick
- 43:01and that's why he was doing what he was
- 43:02doing if he wasn't sick
- 43:04which obviously he was crazy yeah um if
- 43:07he wasn't
- 43:08you know sick or nothing like that he
- 43:10wouldn't have been doing what he was
- 43:11doing
- 43:12and um he was just trying to figure out
- 43:15a way to be better
- 43:16just like everybody else was and she's
- 43:19really smart
- 43:20yeah she's really smart so
- 43:23all that like even when she was 10 and
- 43:25she knew
- 43:26like i have to keep my clothes on
- 43:28because something's gonna happen
- 43:30and then her saying that that's really
- 43:31smart yeah and
- 43:33we don't really know when you know the
- 43:35sexual abuse started or anything like
- 43:37that but
- 43:38if he did wait until she was older
- 43:42um that's just really odd to me yeah
- 43:45you know and maybe that's maybe that's
- 43:48why she said that he
- 43:49she felt like he was battling demons as
- 43:52well
- 43:52because maybe i don't know we don't have
- 43:56a clue
- 43:56i feel like maybe it sounds like he
- 43:58tried but he couldn't you know what i
- 43:59mean yeah
- 44:00it just sounds like he was really
- 44:01insecure and he thought yeah i'm not
- 44:03gonna get anybody who's gonna
- 44:05follow my every command yeah yeah
- 44:09but he was still an ass and he shouldn't
- 44:11have done what he did
- 44:13um he was a weirdo for sure because
- 44:17he even looks really weird yeah he looks
- 44:19he looks really weird
- 44:21and we'll post some pictures of him and
- 44:23and her
- 44:24and some pictures of the room but i
- 44:27wanted to let you guys know the majority
- 44:28of the pictures that we do post
- 44:30um go to our instagram and look at them
- 44:32because even like
- 44:33i believe uh we had was it last episode
- 44:37the hello kitty murders yeah
- 44:39i maybe i don't know if i posted any on
- 44:41our youtube
- 44:42um but if you want to look if you're
- 44:44listen if you're watching this
- 44:45on our youtube channel um you can go to
- 44:49our instagram and see more pictures
- 44:51uh sometimes i don't because some of
- 44:53those pictures turn out grainy
- 44:55on the video um and there was another
- 44:57thing that i wanted to ask you guys
- 45:00we thought about maybe taking down our
- 45:03youtube channel because we don't get as
- 45:04many views on it
- 45:06um and maybe revamping it later
- 45:10if we decide to do video um
- 45:14so it's just a thought if you guys don't
- 45:15have a problem with that please let us
- 45:17know if
- 45:18if you know if you don't want us to take
- 45:20down our youtube

- 46:01just sometimes we like to hear from you
- 46:03guys
- 46:03what you want us to talk about like
- 46:06what's more interesting to you i kind of
- 46:08can tell by the views that we get on
- 46:10different videos like i said production
- 46:11videos seem to be
- 46:12really popular i'm not sure why but
- 46:15whatever
- 46:15um and serial killer ones which i swear
- 46:18to god we're gonna do another serial
- 46:19killer we just haven't done one in a
- 46:21while
- 46:21yeah it's just we decided to do a serial
- 46:23killer and then like something pops up
- 46:24and i'm like oh we should do this wait
- 46:27um in serial killers there's a lot of
- 46:29details
- 46:30it's a lot it's a lot of research a lot
- 46:33of
- 46:33process yeah because there's multiple
- 46:36you know there's multiple murders so you
- 46:38have to
- 46:38and i want to get every date right and
- 46:40everything right so i like to
- 46:42have it all um i usually if i do a
- 46:44serial killer episode it usually takes
- 46:46me a whole day
- 46:47to get the research done maybe two
- 46:49depends on
- 46:50how long it is but yeah so let us know
- 46:53in the comments what you guys want us to
