My Sun-Charged Sleeping Table — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Here's how I get the perfect sleep every
- 0:02single night. I have shelves of stones
- 0:04that I charge under the sunlight and I
- 0:05bring them inside every day and place
- 0:07them on my sleeping table. Then I black
- 0:09out all my windows and I place my feet
- 0:11into lukewarm salt water, which lets my
- 0:13brain know that it's almost time to
- 0:15sleep. I set the AC to 67° and I spray
- 0:18my pillow with the eucalyptus scent. I
- 0:20put on an audio of a goat farm for some
- 0:22natural ambiance and once that's all set
- 0:24up, I throw on some Egyptian cotton
- 0:26pajamas. I head into bed and aim to be
- 0:28asleep by 7:00 p.m. The reason I sleep
- 0:30on stones is to remind myself not to
- 0:32take comfort for granted. I have an
- 0:34alarm that wakes me up at 3:15 a.m. I
- 0:36prepare some air-fried milk with honey
- 0:38and I give myself a 25-minute window to
- 0:40be awake. I take this time to tend to
- 0:42the moon-charged zodiac water I've been
- 0:44making in my shed and I just make sure
- 0:46no critters have gotten into it
- 0:47overnight. After that, I have my cup of
- 0:49milk, I move the stone bed out of the
- 0:51way and I bring in an actual mattress
- 0:53for the rest of the night. And because
- 0:54the first few hours were so
- 0:56uncomfortable from sleeping on top of
- 0:57stones, this bed feels unbelievably nice
- 1:00and I fall asleep in minutes. I use a
- 1:02sunrise lamp to help wake me up
- 1:04naturally. I know this whole routine
- 1:05seems like a little excessive, it seems
- 1:07a little weird, but this is genuinely
- 1:09like the best sleep I've ever gotten.
