1. 0:00My jealous sister demanded I reveal my
2. 0:03Navy nickname in front of 300 wedding
3. 0:05guests so everyone could laugh at me.
4. 0:08But the moment I spoke those words, the
5. 0:09grim's uncle shot to his feet, pointed
6. 0:12at my sister and screamed, apologized to
7. 0:14her right now. My sister's smile
8. 0:16vanished. She had no idea who I really
9. 0:19was. And what happened next destroyed
10. 0:21the little world she had built around
11. 0:22humiliating me. But before I reveal how
12. 0:25I turned her own wedding into the
13. 0:26biggest regret of her life, hit the

15. 0:30now because you certainly will not
16. 0:33believe how this story ends. Back to the
17. 0:35story. My name is Vanessa Hayes and I
18. 0:39serve in the United States Navy. Ever
19. 0:42since childhood, my older sister had
20. 0:43always treated my achievements like
21. 0:45personal insults. When I won awards, she
22. 0:48mocked me. When I enlisted, she called
23. 0:51me a nobody in uniform. She assumed I
24. 0:54was just an ordinary sealer. But what
25. 0:56she didn't know was that I had risen to
26. 0:58the rank of commander and led the highly
27. 1:00classified naval operations unit. At her
28. 1:04wedding in Virginia, my sister grabbed
29. 1:06the microphone during the reception and
30. 1:08said, "Since Vanessa loves pretending
31. 1:10she's some big shots in the Navy, why
32. 1:12don't you tell everyone your little
33. 1:14nickname?" She snared. The guest
34. 1:16laughed. I calmly took the microphone
35. 1:18and said, "They call me the Admiral
36. 1:20Shadow." Suddenly, a man at the head
37. 1:22table stood up so violently his chair
38. 1:24crashed backwards. He shouted,
39. 1:27"Apologize to her now," he rode. It was
40. 1:30a Grim's uncle, retired Admiral Richard
41. 1:33Collins, a decorated naval officer who
42. 1:35had once supervised a joint operation I
43. 1:37commanded. He turned towards the stunned
44. 1:39guest and said, "Your sister isn't some
45. 1:42insignificant sailor." Commander Vanessa
46. 1:45led the operation that rescued my men
47. 1:47when we were trapped overseas. She
48. 1:48risked her life bringing them home. I've
49. 1:51served alongside extraordinary officers
50. 1:52and she's one of the finest I've ever
51. 1:54known. The entire ballroom fell silent.
52. 1:57My sister's face drained of color, but I
53. 1:59wasn't finished. You see, for years, my
54. 2:01sister had used my name and military
55. 2:03credentials to impress wealthy
56. 2:04acquaintances, pretending she had
57. 2:06connections to senior Navy officials.
58. 2:08She had even asked me if to write a
59. 2:10recommendation for her husband's defense
60. 2:12contracting company. I had refused
61. 2:14because I knew she was dishonest. That
62. 2:16evening, the groom discovered messages
63. 2:18on her phone revealing she had been
64. 2:19lying to him about her supposed military
65. 2:21connections. He quietly removed his
66. 2:23wedding ring and walked away from the
67. 2:25reception. I didn't celebrate. I simply
68. 2:27returned the microphone and left. The
69. 2:29next morning, my sister called me crying
70. 2:31and demanding that I fix everything. I
71. 2:34gave her one answer. You wanted everyone
72. 2:36to know who I was. Well, now they do.
73. 2:38You should have thought about that
74. 2:40before making me your entertainment. For
75. 2:42once, my sister had nothing qual to say,
76. 2:44and I finally understood that sometimes
