- 1:28break. So, thank you so much for joining

- 1:37any sort of extra stuff for you guys
- 1:38during the international break. I know
- 1:39there's a lot going on with all the
- 1:41international stuff I cover, but if
- 1:42there is anything sure you would like me
- 1:44to do, let me know down in the comments
- 1:46section below. As for today though, the
- 1:48Premier League returns tomorrow,
- 1:51lunchtime, and these are the 10 games
- 1:53taking place over the course of your
- 1:54Premier League weekend. So, without any
- 1:56further ado, let's get straight into it.
- 1:59The Saturday lunchtime kickoff comes
- 2:01from the Emirates Stadium and it is
- 2:03Arsenal taking on leads where despite
- 2:05the home side being second in the table,
- 2:08it is the away side in fifth that are
- 2:10actually unbeaten so far this season
- 2:12with two wins and three draws. That
- 2:14being said, Arsenal still come into this
- 2:16with a 100% home record in the Premier
- 2:19League this season, but in their most
- 2:20recent match, they were absolutely
- 2:23embarrassed at the hands of Brighton,
- 2:25who quite simply played them off the
- 2:27pitch from first to last. No excuses, no
- 2:31even like glaring mistakes over the
- 2:33goals they conceded. Just a flatout
- 2:35beating, three goals to nil. So a big
- 2:37response needed from Arsenal ahead of
- 2:39what is going to be a tough week for
- 2:41them with Champions League football
- 2:42returning for them as well. To be fair,
- 2:45leads are also going to be disappointed
- 2:47with their last outing before the
- 2:48international break as they could only
- 2:50manage a nil nil draw at home to Crystal
- 2:52Palace where to be honest with you they
- 2:54were probably lucky to get away with a
- 2:55draw from that match as well. Especially
- 2:57when you consider that James Trafford
- 2:58got the player of the match for that
- 3:00performance making a whole host of saves
- 3:02to keep the score line at nil nil. They
- 3:05also lost their last away game in London
- 3:07even though they are unbeaten in the
- 3:09league. They lost 6-3 away to Chelsea in
- 3:11the EFL Cup. So, it does stand to reason
- 3:13that the defending champions once again
- 3:15will be favorites. In terms of the team
- 3:18news, it was a very bad international
- 3:20break for Arsenal cuz Kai Havvertz,
- 3:22Scholace, Max Dalman, and Ezri Conza all
- 3:26picked up injuries over the course of
- 3:28their various different international
- 3:29duties. the leads. No fresh concerns
- 3:32from the international break, but Welsh
- 3:34pair Joe Rodon and Harry Wilson that
- 3:35both missed the international break are
- 3:37also going to be out for this game after
- 3:39the injuries they picked up before we
- 3:41went for the break. Last season, it was
- 3:44nothing short of complete Arsenal
- 3:46domination between these two sides. They
- 3:49won 5-nil on this ground and even won
- 3:524-nil at Leeds as well. This time
- 3:55around, I think it's going to be an
- 3:56awful lot closer, especially when you
- 3:58consider how well leadeds have played in
- 4:00the Premier League so far this season.
- 4:02And when you consider how shaky Arsenal
- 4:04were against Brighton and the amount of
- 4:05injuries they've picked up, I still
- 4:07think Arsenal are going to get the
- 4:09victory, though. You can't just suddenly
- 4:10say, "Oh, now they're going to stop
- 4:12being very good, especially at home. So,
- 4:14I'm still going to go for my generic
- 4:152-nil win to Arsenal." But watch this
- 4:17space. I think Leeds could really give
- 4:19them a game here, especially being the
- 4:20first game back after such a long
- 4:23absence. The first three o'clock of the
- 4:26weekend then comes from Villa and Aston
- 4:28Villa are going to be taking on Brenford
- 4:29in a very intriguing match between the
- 4:32sides. Currently 16th in the Premier
- 4:34League and fourth for Aston Villa after
- 4:37failure to win their opening four
- 4:38Premier League matches. They were then
- 4:40went into the international break with
- 4:41some rediscovered form after beating
- 4:43Bruge in the Champions League, Coventry
- 4:45in the EFL Cup and then ending with a 32
- 4:49away win in the Premier League at Spurs
- 4:51which initially saw them 3-0 up in the
- 4:53match thanks to a debut goal from Monzi,
- 4:56then a first goal for Nicholas Jackson
- 4:58and then a screamer from Emmy Buendia.
- 5:00They did concede two goals late on, but
- 5:02it doesn't stop them picking up their
- 5:03first Premier League win of the season.
- 5:05The question is now can they go on a
- 5:07very similar one run to what they did
- 5:09last year after the first international
- 5:10break which actually saw them win 11
- 5:13games in a row. So be interested to see
- 5:15how they react coming back after the
- 5:17international break this season out for
- 5:19Brenford. They're already on a fantastic
- 5:21run. They're unbeaten in all seven games
- 5:23so far this season in all competitions.
- 5:25And they went into the international
- 5:27break with an outstanding 3-nil home win
- 5:30over Chelsea in a game which yes they
- 5:32gave up most of the possession but they
- 5:34still dominated the vast majorities of
- 5:36the chances and set pieces were the key
- 5:39to their victory with goals from Jaden
- 5:40Anthony, Eagle Thiago and a returning
- 5:42Fabio Carvalio wrapping up a seriously
- 5:45impressive 3-nil victory and three more
- 5:48points. It should be noted though that
- 5:50they have drawn both of their opening
- 5:52away fixtures in the Premier League. So
- 5:54with Aston Villa also winning before the
- 5:56break, it stands to reason that Villa
- 5:57will still be considered the favorites
- 5:59for this match. In terms of the team
- 6:01news, there are no fresh injury concerns
- 6:03for Aston Villa, but it looks like
- 6:04there's going to be no return for Pal
- 6:06Torres or Ian Martin in this game after
- 6:09an outstanding international break.
- 6:11Mikuel Damsgard is now a doubt for
- 6:13Brenford, who also remain without Nathan
- 6:15Collins and Matias Jensen with
- 6:16pre-existing injuries. Last season,
- 6:18these sides actually played on three
- 6:20separate occasions and Brenford won all
- 6:23three of them, winning at home and away
- 6:25in the Premier League by one goal to nil
- 6:27and then winning on penalties at home in
- 6:29the EFL Cup. Given the form at the start
- 6:31of the season, it's hard to back against
- 6:33Brenford making it four wins in a row
- 6:35over Aston Villa here. However, given
- 6:37Villa's win and given Brenford's
- 6:39questionable away form so far this
- 6:42season, I'm going to play it a little
- 6:43bit safer and go for a draw. Could go
- 6:46either way though, but I'm going for 1-1
- 6:48between Aston Villa and Brenford.
- 6:51Now to Chelsea who are going to be
- 6:53taking on Bournemouth in the second 3:00
- 6:56kickoff with Chelsea now down in 10th
- 6:58place where of course they finished last
- 6:59season and Bournemouth all the way down
- 7:01in 17th as they're yet to win a Premier
- 7:04League game so far this season. The
- 7:06campaign had started really strongly for
- 7:09Chelsea manager Shabi Alonzo. ever.
- 7:10Their defensive frailties have started
- 7:12to outdo their attacking output. Now, in
- 7:15their final three games before the
- 7:16international break, they lost to
- 7:18Arsenal, drew at home to Hull, and then
- 7:20were beaten 3 nil away at Brenford. They
- 7:23were simply unable to deal with the
- 7:24Beas'es set pieces. As for Bournemouth,
- 7:27at least you can say they didn't drop
- 7:29points from a winning position in
- 7:31gameweek five like they had done in all
- 7:32of their opening four Premier League
- 7:34matches. But the only reason for that is
- 7:36is because they didn't score a goal at
- 7:38all against Liverpool on gameweek five,
- 7:40losing 1 nil at home to them as they
- 7:42were beaten by their former manager in a
- 7:45match which saw them only produce two
- 7:47shots on target. So even though you'd
- 7:49fancy them to get a few more
- 7:51opportunities against a frail Chelsea
- 7:53defense, the chances are they're still
- 7:54going to be coming into this as massive
- 7:56underdogs. In terms of the team news,
- 7:58there remain some major doubts for
- 8:00Chelsea over the likes of Rhys James,
- 8:02Moyes Kaisedo, Cole Palmer, Shiao Pedro
- 8:05as all of them pulled out of their
- 8:07respective international squads and it
- 8:09have to wait until we see Chabby
- 8:10Allonzo's press conference to know how
- 8:12many of those players are going to be
- 8:14available for this match. As for
- 8:16Bournemouth, one major problem for them,
- 8:18but major it absolutely is as their star
- 8:21boy. Alex Scott picked up an injury with
- 8:23England, which is going to see him out
- 8:25for Bournemouth until the next
- 8:27international break. So maybe Chelsea
- 8:29had it right to pull all those players
- 8:31out of international duty given what has
- 8:33happened to Bournemouth's main man. In
- 8:35the last three meetings between these
- 8:37two sides, all of them have ended in
- 8:39draws with the last two meetings on this
- 8:41ground both ending 22. Honestly, with
- 8:44the current form of these two sides, 2-
- 8:46two seems like a pretty good option this
- 8:48time around as well. But if we're to
- 8:51assume that all the Chelsea players that
- 8:52pulled out of international duty are
- 8:54going to be back for this game, which
- 8:56looks like they are, I think Chelsea are
- 8:58going to still be the favorites to take
- 9:00this match. And I think that's exactly
- 9:01what they're going to do. Still think
- 9:03it's going to be high scoring though.
- 9:04So, I'm going for 3-2 to Chelsea. But
- 9:07who knows? Anything could happen when
- 9:08these two sides meet. Next up, we have
- 9:12Ipsswitch, who sits in 11th place in the
- 9:14Premier League with two wins and three
- 9:16defeats. And they're going to be taking
- 9:17on a Fulham side down in 19th and still
- 9:20yet to get a win this season in the
- 9:22league with two draws and two defeats.
- 9:24Although both of those draws were in
- 9:26their last two matches and both of them
- 9:28were against Champions League sides.
- 9:31We'll start off with Ipsswitch though
- 9:32where it's actually four defeats in the
- 9:34last five games for them in all
- 9:36competitions, losing 1-0il away to
- 9:38Everton following their exit in the EFL
- 9:40Cup to Arsenal in the midweek prior. To
- 9:42prefer they were kind of unlucky in how
- 9:44they lost their game against Everton
- 9:46because the goal they conceded came from
- 9:48a long shot which was deliberately
- 9:50deflected but also still diverted past
- 9:53their goalkeeper. Had no chance of
- 9:55dealing with it. Nevertheless, their
- 9:57defense and goalkeeper still deserve
- 9:59some credit for their efforts against
- 10:00Everton because Fataru was sent off for
- 10:03diving early on in the second half, and
- 10:06that really killed their chances of
- 10:08chasing an equalizer, but they were
- 10:09still able to hold on to a 1-nil defeat.
- 10:12So, it's not the worst result away from
- 10:13home, but you would still expect them to
- 10:15do a little bit better now in front of
- 10:17their home fans. As for Fulham, they
- 10:20were able to back up their nil nil draw
- 10:21against Liverpool, a side that beat
- 10:23Ipsswitch the week before by getting
- 10:26another draw, this time at home to
- 10:28Manchester United. Although it has to be
- 10:29said it was a very poor game of football
- 10:32where both goals in the match were
- 10:34incredibly fortunate with Fulham's being
- 10:36an own goal following a shot straight at
- 10:38the goalkeeper that rebounded off of a
- 10:40Manchester United player and then
- 10:42United's equalizer towards the end of
- 10:44the game might as well have gone down as
- 10:46an AMER own goal because a long shot
- 10:48from Matteas Kuna deflected off him
- 10:50which diverted it past Leno in goal who
- 10:52had absolutely no chance on the balance
- 10:54of play. nil nil probably would have
- 10:56been the right result and neither side
- 10:58looked like scoring. So coming into this
- 11:00with Ipsswitch struggling to create
- 11:01anything significant against Everton and
- 11:03Fulham struggling to create anything
- 11:05significant against Manchester United,
- 11:06we could be in for a rather dull game
- 11:09here. In terms of the team news,
- 11:11obviously from an interest perspective,
- 11:12Fetaru is going to be suspended
- 11:14following that red card, whereas Fulham
- 11:16have no fresh issues at all and could
- 11:18actually have everyone in their entire
- 11:20squad available for this one. When these
- 11:23sides last met two years ago in the
- 11:24Premier League, both matches ended in
- 11:27draws. And given the current form of
- 11:28these two sides, doesn't seem like the
- 11:30worst option this time around either.
- 11:32I'm hoping that I'm wrong with this
- 11:34position, but to me, this just screams
- 11:36of my classic nil nil, one nil to either
- 11:39side and maybe at a push we get a 1-1
- 11:42draw. But given the nature of the goals
- 11:44these two sides conceded over the course
- 11:46of the final game week, this one really
- 11:48could just go either way. For me, I
- 11:50think the smart option is to just play
- 11:51it safe and go for the draw. I actually
- 11:53don't think it's going to be nil nil, so
- 11:55I'm just going to go for 1-1. But
- 11:57honestly, like I say, this one is a near
- 11:59unpredictable game. I'm going for 1-1
- 12:02between Ipsswitch and Fulham. The final
- 12:043:00 kickoff comes from Sunderland as
- 12:07the Black Cats host the Seagulls as it's
- 12:0914th versus third here. And pretty
- 12:11contrasting starts to the season for
- 12:13both of these sides, it has to be said.
- 12:15To be fair to Sunderland, they have won
- 12:17three of their four home games in all
- 12:19competitions so far this season. But
- 12:21it's still back-to-back Premier League
- 12:22defeat to Arsenal here and then away at
- 12:25Manchester City. Although it has to also
- 12:26be noted they did play incredibly well
- 12:29at the Etiad and especially Brian Brobby
- 12:32who actually got a hat-tick in the match
- 12:34and took home the match ball. But
- 12:36unfortunately for him, he could do
- 12:37nothing about what was going on at the
- 12:39other end of the pitch, which saw some
- 12:40very questionable defending and even
- 12:43more questionable goalkeeping, allowing
- 12:45Manchester City to score five at the
- 12:47other end. So, it was a 53 defeat in the
- 12:50end, but probably still gets to keep the
- 12:51match ball. Whether or not he'd want to,
- 12:53I don't really know. As for Brighton,
- 12:55they continued their absolutely
- 12:56phenomenal start to the season with
- 12:58probably the performance of the season
- 13:00so far as they systematically dismantled
- 13:03the defending champions in Arsenal with
- 13:05goals from Premier League player of the
- 13:07month Pascal Gross Costulas and then
- 13:09debutin Andre securing a 3nil victory. A
- 13:13reminder that the week prior Arsenal had
- 13:16actually won 2-0 at Sunderland. So
- 13:18Brighton must be considered the big
- 13:20favorites for this match. In terms of
- 13:22the team news, it was a rough
- 13:24international break for Sunderland with
- 13:25both Dan Ballard and Brian Brobby
- 13:27picking up injuries that puts them out
- 13:29of action here. For Brighton, they are
- 13:31still expected to be without multiple
- 13:32first team options for this match. And
- 13:34that injury list could be added to with
- 13:36potential absentes for Lewis Dunk and
- 13:37Yasin Nyari. And if Iari brings back
- 13:40that Sweden virus that was going around
- 13:42that international camp and Brighton
- 13:44players start going down with illness,
- 13:46they genuinely might not have a team
- 13:48left by the time kickoff comes around on
- 13:50Saturday. But as always with Brighton,
- 13:52we'd always expect them to put out some
- 13:53sort of really good team and be very
- 13:56highly competitive. Last season though,
- 13:58it was hardly epic encounters between
- 14:00these two sides with it finishing nil
- 14:02nil at Brighton and a one- nil win for
- 14:05Brighton here. On current form and
- 14:07assuming that the main players are going
- 14:08to be fit, which it looks like they are,
- 14:10I'm backing Brighton to get the victory
- 14:12once again here. And on the form they're
- 14:14on, I think it's going to be an even
- 14:15bigger winning margin this time. It was
- 14:171-0il last year. I'm going for two-0 to
- 14:19Brighton this year. The final game on
- 14:22Saturday then sees two seriously
- 14:25underperforming sides this season going
- 14:27head-to-head in Manchester United down
- 14:29in 12th hosting Spurs who are now rock
- 14:31bottom of the Premier League table. And
- 14:34between these two sides, there is just
- 14:36one Premier League win from the opening
- 14:39five matches these two sides have
- 14:41played, which is an absolutely
- 14:42staggering stat. One win from 10 games
- 14:44between the two of them. for Manchester
- 14:46United after Derby humiliation and then
- 14:49EFL Cup humiliation. At least they got a
- 14:52point in their final game before the
- 14:53international break, but that was also
- 14:56against the then bottom side of the
- 14:57Premier League Fulham. And they hardly
- 14:59played any better than they did in those
- 15:01two defeats either, creating very little
- 15:04clear-cut opportunities in the match,
- 15:05relying on a deflected goal from Matteas
- 15:07Kuna to get them level after a
- 15:09horrendous own goal from Landro Martinez
- 15:12early on in the second half. I'd
- 15:14probably say if anyone needed that
- 15:15international break to reset themselves,
- 15:17it would be Manchester United. However,
- 15:19I can't say that because the team that
- 15:20actually needed a full reset was
- 15:22Tottenham Hotspur, who have two draws
- 15:25and three defeats from their opening
- 15:27five Premier League games, and they were
- 15:29once again embarrassed in front of their
- 15:31home fans in gameweek five, going 3-0
- 15:33down against Aston Villa. I mean, to be
- 15:36fair, they did end up coming back with
- 15:38their first Premier League goals of the
- 15:39season. The first one was an own goal
- 15:41and the second one was to be fair a
- 15:43pretty decent goal from Van Hecka
- 15:44following a set piece. But it's still
- 15:46very very worrying signs for Roberto
- 15:49Deserby who so far has two nil nil draws
- 15:51and then three defeats of which they've
- 15:53not scored in two of those games either.
- 15:56And already some people are calling this
- 15:58the first Elsako of the season because
- 16:01neither side can really afford to lose
- 16:03and if they do it could be time up for
- 16:05their respective manager. In terms of
- 16:07the team news, Benjamin Chesco looks
- 16:09like he is still going to be out for
- 16:10Manchester United, but Kobeu and Marcus
- 16:12Rashford should be available after
- 16:14missing the international break. And
- 16:15Belaba, Ahmad, and Delic could all be
- 16:18available after missing the first part
- 16:20of the season. For Spurs, unfortunately
- 16:22for them, their injury bug is back as
- 16:25well, and they could be without both
- 16:26Dutch center backs for this game as Van
- 16:28Deerven and Van Hec both picked up
- 16:30injuries on international duty. and
- 16:32their already growing injury list shows
- 16:34no signs of bringing anyone back for
- 16:36this game either. Last season, after
- 16:39eight games without a win over Spurs,
- 16:41Manchester United picked up a 2-nil win,
- 16:43but given how good Spurs' record is
- 16:46against Manchester United, they'll fancy
- 16:47their chances of repeating recent
- 16:49successes in this fixture. Right now, I
- 16:52have absolutely no faith as a Manchester
- 16:54United fan in Manchester United to get
- 16:57the result. However, as a predictor, I
- 16:59have even less faith in Spurs right now.
- 17:02So, as far as I'm concerned, this is
- 17:04another game where the score line could
- 17:05be absolutely anything. I would not be
- 17:07surprised. From nil nil to 4-4, I think
- 17:10anything is possible here. So, as
- 17:11always, I'm going to let my slight bias
- 17:13get the better of me. And I'm going to
- 17:14go for Manchester United because really
- 17:16Man United should be winning this game.
- 17:18So, I'm going for a 2-1 victory to them.
- 17:22We start off Sunday with two 2:00
- 17:25kickoffs and the first of those sees the
- 17:26very personal rivalry between Crystal
- 17:29Palace and Nottingham Forest heightened
- 17:31even further by the move of Oliver
- 17:33Glazner to switch from Palace to Forest
- 17:36over the summer and also taking Munoz
- 17:38with him as well. But neither side come
- 17:40into this having made particularly good
- 17:42starts to their Premier League season
- 17:43with Palace in 15th and Forest in 13th
- 17:46with just having one win a piece from
- 17:48their opening five games. For Crystal
- 17:50Palace though, they did go into the
- 17:51international break with somewhat decent
- 17:53form behind them, winning 4-nil against
- 17:55Lech Pausnan in the Europa League and
- 17:57then getting a pretty decent nil nil
- 17:59draw away to lead United where, if we're
- 18:01being honest, they were unlucky not to
- 18:03end up winning that match. As for
- 18:05Nottingham Forest, they were also on a
- 18:07fairly good run of form and had just won
- 18:09away to Aston Villa. But then it all
- 18:11came crashing down in that final game in
- 18:14gameweek five as they lost to the bottom
- 18:16of the table scoreless and pointless
- 18:19Coventry City, losing 1 nil in a game
- 18:22where they still had 65% possession and
- 18:2524 shots. But they were incredibly
- 18:27wasteful having just three shots on
- 18:29target from those 24 attempts. and then
- 18:32they allow Coventry in behind them on
- 18:34the right hand side to steal all three
- 18:36points. They do however have four of
- 18:38their five Premier League points so far
- 18:40this season from their two away games.
- 18:42So they're going to be pretty confident
- 18:44they can go to Palace and get a result
- 18:46here as well. In terms of the team news,
- 18:48Darsi remains suspended for Crystal
- 18:50Palace following his red card against
- 18:51Ipsswitch and Jean Philip Mateta and
- 18:53Dean Henderson are expected to still be
- 18:55out with injuries. No fresh concerns for
- 18:57Nottingham Forest who could actually
- 18:59have a full first team squad available
- 19:02for this match. So again, be interested
- 19:03to see who they go for if everyone is
- 19:05available. Last season, both matches
- 19:08between these two sides ended in 1-1
- 19:10draws and the last five meetings on this
- 19:13ground have ended in draws and four of
- 19:16those five draws have also been 1-1. So
- 19:19without knowing the head-to-head record,
- 19:21a draw already seemed like the most
- 19:23likely result here. So now including
- 19:25that head-to-head record, there's only
- 19:27really one result I can go for, and that
- 19:29is yet another repeat of the most
- 19:31popular score line between these two
- 19:32teams, 1-1 between Crystal Palace and
- 19:35Nottingham Forest once again. The other
- 19:382:00 kickoff is eighth versus 7th as the
- 19:41still impressive whole city host the
- 19:43unbeaten Everton in what is yet another
- 19:46really intriguing Premier League game.
- 19:48For the Tigers, they finally suffered
- 19:50their first league defeat of the Premier
- 19:52League campaign in gameweek 5. And it
- 19:54was actually their second defeat in
- 19:55three games after also losing in the EFL
- 19:58Cup. But their league defeat came away
- 20:00to Newcastle where they were blown away
- 20:02very quickly in the opening 10 minutes,
- 20:04conceding two goals as Newcastle broke
- 20:06down Hull's right hand side on both
- 20:08occasions. To their credit, they stayed
- 20:10in the game from that point onwards and
- 20:12goalkeeper Shellakis actually ended up
- 20:14saving a penalty as well to keep the
- 20:16score line at 2-0. Then Cho made it 2-1,
- 20:19but unfortunately for Hull, it was not
- 20:21enough and 2-1 is how it finished. But
- 20:23they also remain unbeaten at home in all
- 20:26competitions so far this season. As for
- 20:29Everton, they were actually able to jump
- 20:31above Hull in gameweek five as they
- 20:33grabbed their second league win of the
- 20:35season following three straight draws
- 20:36and their win came at home to reach
- 20:38town. Now, I know there are still some
- 20:40people that think that Barry's did not
- 20:42mean to score the goal that he scored,
- 20:44but it was very clearly a deliberate
- 20:46redirect off his chest following the
- 20:49shot from James Tarovski. A brilliant
- 20:51effort to divert it into the far corner
- 20:52of the net, but to be fair, they didn't
- 20:55really do much else in the game and they
- 20:57had to ride their luck at times.
- 20:58Ipsswitch still created plenty of
- 21:00effort, but the defensive effort of
- 21:02Everton were too much. And then once
- 21:04Ipsswitch went down to 10 men, Everton
- 21:06were able to see out the game, but still
- 21:08only a 1-0il win. You can see why
- 21:10they've had so many draws already so far
- 21:12this season. In terms of the team news,
- 21:14Hull are going to be without a former
- 21:16Everton man in Iraun, whereas Everton
- 21:19could have a double blow at fullback
- 21:21with Ro and Michelenko major doubts for
- 21:23this one. Remember, of course,
- 21:25Michelenko is their only registered
- 21:27fullback in the squad. So, if he is out,
- 21:29they're going to be playing multiple
- 21:30players out of position in fullback
- 21:32here. It's been over four years since
- 21:34these two sides last met in a
- 21:35competitive capacity. That was in the FA
- 21:38Cup. And Everton did win it in extra
- 21:40time, but again, you can't really read
- 21:42too much into a game from four years
- 21:44ago, especially one from the FA Cup.
- 21:46Again, in what is an already really
- 21:48tough week of Premier League action to
- 21:50call, I think this one is just as hard
- 21:52once again. And to be honest, I think a
- 21:55draw is the most likely outcome once
- 21:57again. If I had to pick a winner on
- 21:59overall form, I'd probably just about go
- 22:01for Everton, but I don't see them
- 22:03scoring many in this game. And I still
- 22:05think Hull are more than capable of
- 22:06scoring as well. So for me, it's going
- 22:08to be the same score line. I've gone for
- 22:10three times already this weekend, and
- 22:12that is 1-1 once again. It'll be
- 22:14genuinely fascinating to see who ends up
- 22:16nicking it if there is a winner. And now
- 22:19it is time for arguably the highest
- 22:21profile main event game in Premier
- 22:24League history as Manchester City play
- 22:27their first game since their guilty
- 22:29verdict from the Premier League for all
- 22:30of those financial fair play charges.
- 22:33And to make matters worse, they're going
- 22:35to be traveling to one of the teams that
- 22:37in theory their cheating cost multiple
- 22:40titles for, and that is of course
- 22:43Liverpool. Once again, we're going to
- 22:44keep things strictly on the pitch, but
- 22:46that is going to make for such a
- 22:48horrendous atmosphere and such an
- 22:50enticing atmosphere for this game. It
- 22:52makes it a muchwatched match. In terms
- 22:54of their season so far though, Liverpool
- 22:56come into this in sixth and Manchester
- 22:57City come into this top of the Premier
- 22:59League with five wins out of five.
- 23:02Already six points clear of their host
- 23:04for this match. In gameweek five, the
- 23:06two matches these two sides played
- 23:08couldn't have been more contrasting with
- 23:09Liverpool playing a very dull game
- 23:12against Bournemouth, which was settled
- 23:13by a very lucky Alexander Ezac goal
- 23:16following a scuffed effort from Florian
- 23:18Vertz, literally dropping at the Swedish
- 23:20forwards feet after also drawing their
- 23:22last home game against Fulham nil nil. I
- 23:24think they're seriously going to need to
- 23:25step up their efforts if they're going
- 23:27to get anything from this match. But
- 23:28they've got a damn good reason to step
- 23:30up their efforts and the crowd are going
- 23:31to be backing them, no doubt. As for
- 23:33Manchester City, they won 53 against
- 23:36Sunderland. So, they also need to
- 23:38sharpen up, especially when they go
- 23:40ahead because all three of Sunderland's
- 23:42goals came within two minutes of goals
- 23:44from Manchester City. But ultimately,
- 23:46Enzo Fernandez's free kick, Ryan Chery,
- 23:48a Semenyo double, and Oling Harland's
- 23:51goals all combined were enough to get
- 23:53them the victory and extend their 100%
- 23:56start to the season. In terms of the
- 23:58team news, Liverpool could be seriously
- 24:00struggling up front as Alexander Ezak
- 24:03suffered a toe injury for Sweden and
- 24:04Cody Gakpo suffered a muscular problem
- 24:06and both could miss this game. As for
- 24:09Man City, Phil Foden remained suspended
- 24:11and Antoine Semeno and Nico O'Reilly ads
- 24:14for this match after picking up injuries
- 24:15over the course of the international
- 24:17break. Last season, Manchester City both
- 24:19won home and away against Liverpool,
- 24:21winning 4-0il at the Etihad and winning
- 24:242-1 here in that game that concluded
- 24:26with that crazy soberly Harland Cherky
- 24:29goal red card incident. With the hostile
- 24:31atmosphere, both sides are going to be
- 24:33desperate to make their presence felt
- 24:35this season as well. In my opinion, I
- 24:37think we could be in for a real
- 24:39entertaining game here. But I have to be
- 24:41realistic and say that if Liverpool are
- 24:43without their main forwards, you'd have
- 24:45to fancy Manchester City to get the win
- 24:47once again. There's only so much the
- 24:49crowd can do to impact this result. And
- 24:51right now, City are the team to beat.
- 24:54And I think once again, they're just
- 24:55about going to find a way to get that
- 24:57result. I'm going for a 2-1 win to
- 25:00Manchester City. And then finally, we
- 25:02have the Monday night football coming
- 25:04from Coventry as they're now just about
- 25:06still in the bottom free Coventry City
- 25:08host ninth place Newcastle. For
- 25:10Coventry, after losing their opening
- 25:12four Premier League matches without
- 25:14scoring a single goal, it finally came
- 25:16good for them in the final game before
- 25:18the international break as they got a
- 25:19shock 1-0 away win at Nottingham Forest.
- 25:22Jada Silva getting the big moment 10
- 25:24minutes into the second half. But they
- 25:26also need to give big credit to their
- 25:28defense and goalkeeper, particularly the
- 25:30backline, who blocked 12 Nottingham
- 25:32Forest shots in the match to secure
- 25:34Coventry's first clean sheet of the
- 25:36season and of course their first win of
- 25:38the season as well. As for Newcastle,
- 25:40they also ended the streak of a newly
- 25:43promoted side as they became the first
- 25:44team to beat Hull City in the Premier
- 25:46League with goals from Joe Willick and
- 25:48Lewis Hall in the opening seven minutes
- 25:50of the match. They were enough to secure
- 25:52the victory, but realistically it should
- 25:53have been 3-0 before it was 2-1 as Johan
- 25:56Vissa saw his penalty saved, but
- 25:58ultimately it was still enough to see
- 26:00Hull and Newcastle maintain on a decent
- 26:03start to their campaign. Although it
- 26:04should be noted that their last away
- 26:06game was also on a Monday night and they
- 26:09ended up losing it 412 leads. In terms
- 26:13of the team news, no fresh issues for
- 26:15Coventry City, but Newcastle continue to
- 26:17have issues at right back with Dedic and
- 26:19Liv Romento still likely to be out of
- 26:21this one and Ania Langanger remains a
- 26:23doubt after pulling out of the
- 26:24international break. The last time these
- 26:26two sides met was back in 2010 and in
- 26:30the Championship when both managers
- 26:32Frank Lampard and Yisil were still
- 26:34playing professional football in their
- 26:36own careers. So, we definitely can't
- 26:37read anything into that head-to-head
- 26:39record. As with so many other games so
- 26:41far this season though, for me it is
- 26:43another real coin flip situation.
- 26:45Newcastle have been without any shadow
- 26:47of a doubt the better side so far this
- 26:49season. But if Coventry can carry that
- 26:51momentum from their final game before
- 26:53the break into this one, I do think
- 26:55they've got a real good chance. I can't
- 26:57ignore though the fact they've only
- 26:58scored one goal in their opening five
- 27:01games. So for me, Newcastle have to be
- 27:03the side to be considered the big
- 27:05favorites to take it. And that's the way
- 27:07that I'm going for. And I'm going to
- 27:08round off this Premier League weekend
- 27:10with a 2nil win to Newcastle. That is
- 27:14going to be it then for the return of
- 27:16Premier League football for you this
- 27:18weekend. As always, a massive thank you
- 27:20very much for watching. Before I leave
- 27:22you, let's see what you guys have been
- 27:23saying over on the community page
- 27:25regarding these 10 fixtures. You have
- 27:27gone for the following. The vast
- 27:30majority think that Arsenal are going to
- 27:32beat Leads. It's close between Villa and
- 27:34Brenford. The majority are still going
- 27:35for Villa. The majority think that
- 27:37Chelsea are going to get the win over
- 27:39Bournemouth. The majority think that
- 27:40Fulham are going to win at Ipsswitch,
- 27:41but there's a lot of support for the
- 27:43draw there as well. The majority think
- 27:45that Brighton are going to win away at
- 27:46Sunderland, but a lot of support for
- 27:47Sunderland there as well. Unbelievably,
- 27:50the biggest prediction of the weekend is
- 27:52Manchester United to beat Spurs. As a
- 27:54United fan, thank you for that, but I do
- 27:55not share your confidence. The majority
- 27:57think that it's going to be a draw
- 27:59between Crystal Palace and Nottingham
- 28:00Forest. Not very often that happens on
- 28:02this channel, but you guys clearly know
- 28:04your homework as much as I do because we
- 28:06know how many draws there has been in
- 28:07that fixture. The majority think that
- 28:09Everton are going to get the win at
- 28:10Hull. The majority think that Liverpool
- 28:12are going to beat Manchester City and
- 28:13unsurprisingly, the majority think that
- 28:15Newcastle are going to beat Coventry. As
- 28:18always, let me know all your remaining
- 28:20thoughts down in the comments section
- 28:21below. And don't forget to head over to
- 28:23the community page right now to start
- 28:25having your say on the Champions League,
- 28:27Europa League, and Conference League
- 28:29matches that will be coming up for you
- 28:30over the course of the next week. It's
- 28:33great to have Club Football back for you
- 28:34once again. So, as always, don't forget
- 28:36to drop a like on the video, share it
- 28:37with a friend, subscribe to the channel
- 28:39if you're new around here. A massive
- 28:41thank you very much for watching once
- 28:42again. I'll see you again very, very
- 28:44soon.
