- 0:00Hey y'all. Welcome back to my channel.
- 0:02I'm going to be showing you my
- 0:04minimalist fivestep skincare routine. In
- 0:06this video, my skin is naturally very
- 0:10dry and sensitive. [music] So, please
- 0:12keep in mind that this might not work
- 0:14for anyone, but it does work well for
- 0:16myself. So, let's jump [music] right
- 0:18into my routine.
- 0:21Hello. It is 6:00 a.m. in the morning. I
- 0:24just finished a workout and my skin is
- 0:27super super dry.
- 0:28>> [music]
- 0:28>> like it's like the Sahara in the
- 0:31morning. Before we dive deeper into my
- 0:34routine, I'm just going to go over the
- 0:36basic products [music] I use. I use
- 0:39Sarra V hydrating foaming oil cleanser
- 0:42every morning and night.
- 0:49And every other day before I use the
- 0:52Caravee, I use a refreshing facial
- 0:54cleanser by Top Care, which is similar
- 0:56to St. Ives.
- 0:57>> [music]
- 0:57>> works just as well. And then I also like
- 1:00to use the snow mushroom toner by the
- 1:02[music] which leaves my skin feeling
- 1:04very silky and smooth after washing
- 1:07slashexfoliating.
- 1:10Finally, I use a vitamin E oil for my
- 1:13skin to top it off. And now that we've
- 1:15reviewed all these products, let's go
- 1:17ahead and jump right in and see how I
- 1:19use each one of them in my routine. The
- 1:22first step in my routine is damping my
- 1:24face down before I apply the exfoliant,
- 1:27which I am using today since I haven't
- 1:28used it in a while. All I do is just
- 1:31literally tap my face with water so the
- 1:34exfoliant could be more absorbent and it
- 1:37can glide smoother across my face. I
- 1:40like to use about a size about the worth
- 1:44of a quarter before I apply it to my
- 1:46face. Then I like to massage it into my
- 1:50jawline, parts of my neck, and the rest
- 1:53of my face from anywhere to a minute to
- 1:56[music] three.
- 1:59Now, I really want to emphasize
- 2:01something here. My skin isn't healthy
- 2:04and clear just because I have a gentle
- 2:07minimalist routine, but I'm also very
- 2:10conscious [music] about how clean I'm
- 2:11eating and how my body feels and how
- 2:14often I work out.
- 2:17It's really important to consider the
- 2:19health of your body because it reflects
- 2:21in your skin. And [music] I feel because
- 2:23I've been taking such good care of my
- 2:25diet and my exercise routine that my
- 2:27skin [music]
- 2:28just naturally reflects the health of my
- 2:31body.
- 2:36Next up, we're going to wash off the
- 2:38exfoliant with the Sarah Ve cleanser. I
- 2:41tried to use a couple pumps here, but
- 2:43I'm almost out, so I kind of struggled.
- 2:46I ended up getting about a dimesized
- 2:48amount of the cleanser. I rub that
- 2:51together with my hands till it foams,
- 2:53and I [music] wash my face until all of
- 2:57the debris left from the exfoliant is
- 3:00gone.
- 3:04As you can also see here, I kind of like
- 3:05to do facial exercises. Like I do a lot
- 3:09of lymphatic drainage. I often have a
- 3:12really really puffy nose in the morning
- 3:14and doing this actually helps a lot. My
- 3:17face will get really red, but it helps
- 3:19with the drainage.
- 3:27In contrast to most people who dry their
- 3:29face with a towel, I actually lightly
- 3:32tap my skin until it is dry because
- 3:34[music] towels contain fibers that
- 3:36actually damage your skin. Plus, the
- 3:39light tapping helps with better
- 3:40circulation. So, instead of damaging my
- 3:44skin with the fibers, tapping is
- 3:46actually benefiting it more.
- 3:51Now, we're moving on to the fun part.
- 3:53We're going to start using [music] the
- 3:54The snow mushroom toner. I absolutely
- 3:58love applying this when I exfoliate my
- 4:00skin in the morning because it just
- 4:01glides on [music] so smoothly. Like you
- 4:04can already see how smooth my skin looks
- 4:06from the exfoliant and this just makes
- 4:09it look absolutely flawless. [music]
- 4:12I have so much fun applying it.
- 4:16Even on my neck too, although I didn't
- 4:18exfoliate [music]
- 4:19it, just I feel like my neck feels
- 4:22smoother just from the residue of the
- 4:24exfoliant and [music] the cleanser.
- 4:26Again,
- 4:29you're going to see me applying this in
- 4:30a lot of circular [music]
- 4:32massage like motions just because I
- 4:35really really emphasize
- 4:38circulation in the face which prevents
- 4:40puffiness cuz I my face is so puffy in
- 4:43the morning.
- 4:47Now it's time to put on the vitamin E
- 4:50oil which is mainly an olive oil. I just
- 4:54like to apply a couple drops across each
- 4:57part of my face because as we know oil
- 5:01can get quite messy. So depending on how
- 5:05dry my skin is, [music] I like to apply
- 5:07different amounts. I'm applying just a
- 5:09little bit more here than usual just
- 5:11because I know my skin is going to dry
- 5:13up the moment I step outside because the
- 5:15air is really dry in the region that I
- 5:18am in currently. So I'm just trying to
- 5:21moisten up a little more before I walk
- 5:23out. so my skin doesn't start cracking.
- 5:26Another thing I would like to mention
- 5:28here aides from my diet and exercise
- 5:31[music]
- 5:32routine is that I also take supplements
- 5:34on a regular basis. And I also drink
- 5:38probiotic [music] drinks such as
- 5:40kombucha or probiotic soda that actually
- 5:42helps with my gut health which does also
- 5:45reflect on [music] my skin. So take in
- 5:48consideration that it's the supplements
- 5:50that help as well. I take collagen
- 5:52supplements and I also take bovine
- 5:54gelatin on a daily basis.
- 5:58Finally, this is a product I didn't show
- 6:00initially in the beginning of this video
- 6:02just because I don't use it daily, but
- 6:04this is the sun cream that I use. I try
- 6:07to [music] apply it as often as possible
- 6:09even though the season that we're in
- 6:12right now means the sun isn't shining
- 6:14enough, but I do have really sensitive
- 6:16skin. [music]
- 6:17skin that's fair enough to be burned
- 6:19easily by the sun. So, I [music]
- 6:21actually try to apply this on a daily
- 6:23basis. Now, I literally just spread it
- 6:27across my [music] face like any other
- 6:28sun cream. I specifically like this one
- 6:31because it's by Sarah and I've found
- 6:34myself satisfied by Sarah V's products.
- 6:38And you can see I'm kind of laughing
- 6:40here because [music] I just look funny
- 6:42because my face is so white. However,
- 6:45the whiteness does start to blend a
- 6:48little bit once I do my neck and I do my
- 6:51ears. But I think the sun screen is kind
- 6:55[music] of what gives me the glow in the
- 6:56first place just because it has a really
- 6:59heavy white cast to it. But I blend it
- 7:01in such a way to make it actually look
- 7:03good because I'm naturally very [music]
- 7:05fair. But I think when I go out, it just
- 7:09makes me look a little bit more radiant.
- 7:11I know it's not for everybody, the white
- 7:13[music] cast, but in my case, I think it
- 7:16just gives my skin an extra protective
- 7:18glow.
- 7:33And right here, we're seeing my finished
- 7:35result of my skinare routine.
- 7:38Next up, I'm going to be doing my hair
- 7:40and makeup. Just to top it off,
- 7:45while I do my makeup for today, I'm
- 7:47[music] going to give some extra tips
- 7:49you guys can follow to help your skin
- 7:52become more clearer and support the
- 7:54overall health of your skin. First of
- 7:56all, it's [music] very, very important
- 7:58that you know what your skin type is
- 8:02[music] because I have very dry skin. My
- 8:05skincare routine relies heavily on oils
- 8:08instead [music] of traditional
- 8:09moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated.
- 8:12Whereas, if you're somebody who has oily
- 8:14skin, I would cut back on the oils
- 8:16because [music] that might actually clog
- 8:17your pores even more and give you more
- 8:20acne. If you have sensitive skin like
- 8:22myself, you are going to want to
- 8:25minimalize the products that you use
- 8:26[music]
- 8:27because I have combination skin. I have
- 8:30to be heavier on oils while light on
- 8:33products at the [music] same time. So, I
- 8:35use lighter oils.
- 8:37Some things that'll benefit everybody,
- 8:39no matter what your skin type is,
- 8:42staying hydrated, eating clean, and
- 8:44taking care of your body through
- 8:46exercise, proper nutrition, and
- 8:48supplements. And don't forget that a
- 8:51positive mindset is one of the most
- 8:53important things. A positive mindset
- 8:56will clearly reflect in your skin and
- 8:58clarity, brightness, and the overall
- 9:01youthful appearance and elasticity of
- 9:03your skin.
- 9:09Thank you guys so much for tuning in
- 9:10today's video. I was really excited to
- 9:12make this skincare routine for you guys
- 9:14since you have been asking about it
- 9:15[music] so much in the comment section.
- 9:17Please let me know what you would like
- 9:18to see next. And until next time, I'll
- 9:21see you guys. Bye.
