- 0:00Hello beautiful people. My name is Lena,
- 0:02and I'm here to tell you an amazing
- 0:04story about how I got sweet revenge on
- 0:06my horrible mother-in-law Pam.
- 0:08Let's start with the basics. My husband
- 0:11Keith and I met through mutual friends
- 0:13and got married after dating for 3
- 0:14years. Keith is a wonderful man, largely
- 0:18because of his father Rick, who is also
- 0:20amazing. However, I can't say the same
- 0:22for his mother Pam. Pam is a bitter and
- 0:25entitled woman who thinks the world
- 0:27revolves around her. She has high
- 0:29expectations, but neither the brains nor
- 0:31the skills to achieve them. Both she and
- 0:33Rick had modest jobs and lived a modest
- 0:36life. While Rick was content, Pam always
- 0:39wanted more and often looked down on
- 0:41others. She even criticized Rick for not
- 0:44earning enough to provide her with a
- 0:45luxurious lifestyle. When Keith got a
- 0:47good job, Pam quit hers and expected
- 0:50Keith and Rick to cover all her
- 0:52expenses. When Keith and I moved in
- 0:54together, we both worked and carefully
- 0:56planned our expenses. Keith stopped
- 0:58giving his mother money whenever she
- 1:00asked, which made Pam furious at me. She
- 1:03accused me of taking her son's money and
- 1:05warned me that she wouldn't allow me to
- 1:07bankrupt him. I told her I had a good
- 1:09job and didn't need Keith's money, but
- 1:11she didn't believe me. She thought I was
- 1:13just a useless girl who would eventually
- 1:15rely on Keith as a cash cow. Despite her
- 1:18efforts, Keith and I got married, which
- 1:20made her even angrier. Pam never
- 1:23accepted me and constantly made fun of
- 1:25me and my lifestyle. She especially
- 1:27loved to mock my old beat-up car,
- 1:30comparing it to the nice Honda Keith
- 1:32bought her 3 years ago. Despite her
- 1:34insults, I kept quiet because I liked
- 1:36Rick and didn't want to cause problems
- 1:38between Keith and his mom. This worked
- 1:40until one fateful night at a family
- 1:42dinner. Pam made another joke about my
- 1:44car, saying her friend thought it was
- 1:46going to the junkyard and that I must be
- 1:48desperate to still use it. Keith
- 1:50defended me and said, "Don't worry, Dad.
- 1:53The joke's end today. Next time your
- 1:55friend sees Lena's car, she'll be
- 1:56surprised. Lena has booked a brand new
- 1:59car. She'll have the best car in the
- 2:01family. Pam was shocked and upset to
- 2:03hear that I paid $30,000 for the new
- 2:05car. While Rick and Key were genuinely
- 2:08happy. You see, I had always dreamed of
- 2:10a particular car, which is why I never
- 2:12upgraded my old one despite its issues.
- 2:15I saved for a long time, and by the time
- 2:17my old car died, I had enough money to
- 2:20buy my dream car. Key was super
- 2:22supportive and happy that I achieved my
- 2:23dream. When Key told Pam about my new
- 2:26car, he was excited, but I was wary of
- 2:28her reaction. This is what she said
- 2:30next. What? You're getting a new car? A
- 2:33car that costs $30,000?
- 2:36Are you insane? Do you think my son's
- 2:38money grows on trees?
- 2:40Mom, relax. Lena's buying the car with
- 2:42her own money. It's her dream car, and
- 2:45she worked hard to save for it. That's
- 2:47great, Lena. I'm so proud of you. You
- 2:49deserve it since you worked so hard for
- 2:51it. Now you'll have the best car in our
- 2:53family. Pam, however, was furious. No,
- 2:57no, no, no. This can't be happening.
- 2:59This useless woman can't have a better
- 3:01car than me. Lena, you better cancel the
- 3:04purchase. You'll be disrespecting your
- 3:06in-laws by making such extravagant
- 3:08purchases. Everyone was surprised by
- 3:10what Pam said. I wasn't sure if I had
- 3:12heard her right. Was she really asking
- 3:14me to give up my car because she
- 3:16couldn't afford one as nice? Yes, she
- 3:19was because she was that entitled. Rick
- 3:21and Key were both shocked and
- 3:22uncomfortable.
- 3:24I said, "No, I don't think I will.
- 3:26Driving a better car doesn't mean I'm
- 3:28disrespecting anyone. It's my money I'm
- 3:31spending." Rick chimed in, "We don't
- 3:33mind, Lena. Pam, what the hell are you
- 3:35saying? She's not being disrespectful by
- 3:38buying better things." "Well, it is
- 3:40disrespectful to me. Lena, I don't care
- 3:43what you think. You will cancel the
- 3:44purchase immediately. If you're smart,
- 3:47you'll double the cash and get new cars
- 3:49for both of us."
- 3:50"Oh, hell no, Pam. If you want a new
- 3:52car, you can go back to work and get it
- 3:54the way I did. I don't see why I should
- 3:56get you a new car for nothing. Your car
- 3:58is in perfectly good shape. I will not
- 4:01drive an old car when someone useless
- 4:03like you will be driving a $30,000 car.
- 4:05You have two options, Lena. Either buy a
- 4:08cheaper car or buy two expensive ones.
- 4:10I'll take one while you take the other.
- 4:12You are delusional, Pam. That's not how
- 4:15things work. If you want something, you
- 4:17should work for it. This conversation is
- 4:19ridiculous. I think we'll go home.
- 4:22Key agreed with me and we left, but Pam
- 4:25never stopped bothering us. She kept
- 4:27telling me to cancel the purchase or
- 4:28face consequences. That set off alarm
- 4:31bells for me. I showed the texts to Key,
- 4:34but he told me to ignore them, thinking
- 4:36his mom was just being dramatic. He
- 4:38often ignored her or gave in to her
- 4:40demands, but I didn't think it was wise
- 4:42this time. So, I became extra careful.
- 4:45Thank God I did. Two weeks after my car
- 4:48was delivered, I was at home on leave
- 4:50when I heard a knock at the door. I
- 4:52opened it to find a cheerful Pam walking
- 4:54into my living room.
- 4:56I was confused and cautious about why
- 4:58she was in such a good mood. After some
- 5:00small talk, she asked for coffee. While
- 5:02I was in the kitchen, I heard the front
- 5:04door close. I rushed out to see Pam
- 5:07driving away my new car. She stole my
- 5:09car. I was in shock. I called Key and
- 5:12asked him to come home immediately. He
- 5:15said he would be on his way. I was
- 5:17panicking, trying to figure out what was
- 5:19going on. My panic grew when Pam
- 5:21returned with my car in terrible
- 5:23condition. It hit me, she wrecked my car
- 5:25on purpose. She smoothly got out and
- 5:27handed me the keys.
- 5:29I was shaking with rage. What the hell
- 5:31did you do, Pam? You wrecked my car.
- 5:34Why? You can't have something I can't.
- 5:37You don't deserve to drive a new car
- 5:39while I have to drive an old one. I
- 5:41deserve what you have, probably more.
- 5:43Now that your car is wrecked, you'll
- 5:45have to drive an old beat-up car like
- 5:47the rest of us. I laughed at her. It was
- 5:50hilarious. She thought I would go back
- 5:52to driving my old non-functional car.
- 5:55How funny. She had no idea what I was
- 5:58about to do. Pam looked at me like I had
- 6:00lost my mind. I was laughing like a
- 6:02maniac after she destroyed my $30,000
- 6:05car. Anyone else would be crying, but
- 6:07not me. I calmed down and went to the
- 6:09car, taking some pictures. I reached
- 6:12inside and removed something from the
- 6:13rearview mirror. Pam looked panicked.
- 6:16"What is that? What are you holding?"
- 6:18she asked. Oh, Pam, did you really think
- 6:21my world would end if you wrecked my
- 6:23car? Sorry to burst your bubble, but
- 6:25that's not happening. Do you want to
- 6:27know what I just pulled out? It's a dash
- 6:29cam, Pam. "No. No, no. That's
- 6:32impossible. That's fake. It can't be
- 6:34real. I checked for a dash cam. It
- 6:36wasn't there before." You really are
- 6:38behind on technology, Pam. This one goes
- 6:41behind the rearview mirror and stores
- 6:42videos on a memory card. With this, I
- 6:45have plenty of proof to land you in
- 6:46jail, and my insurance will cover it
- 6:48all. Pam looked like she had landed in
- 6:50hell. She was panicking and looked ready
- 6:52to faint. She didn't think she would get
- 6:55caught. Now that I had threatened to
- 6:56call the cops, she was freaking out. She
- 6:59still somehow denied it and kept saying
- 7:00the device was fake. "You're trying to
- 7:03scare me, Lena. It won't work. You just
- 7:05got the car." So, what, Pam? Do you
- 7:07think I'm a dumb ass like you? I
- 7:09pre-ordered the dash cam before I'd even
- 7:11picked up the car. It's an expensive car
- 7:14and I wasn't going to leave it without
- 7:15surveillance.
- 7:17Plus, I already suspected you might try
- 7:19something stupid. I was right. Now that
- 7:21you've messed up my car, I guess we'll
- 7:23have to call the cops. "No, no, no. You
- 7:26can't do that. You can't call the cops."
- 7:29Pam was visibly panicking, not knowing
- 7:31what to do. I was already on the phone
- 7:33with the police who said they would be
- 7:35on their way. Pam stood frozen, looking
- 7:38like a deer in headlights. Just then, he
- 7:40came home from work. He took one look at
- 7:43my wrecked car and said, "What the hell,
- 7:45Lena? What happened to the car? Are you
- 7:48hurt?" "I'm fine, Key. As you can see,
- 7:51my car is a wreck now, thanks to your
- 7:53mom. If you want to know how this
- 7:54happened, I'm sure your dear mother will
- 7:56be willing to give you the details."
- 7:59"What are you talking about, Mom? Did
- 8:01you do this to Lena's car?" Pam tried to
- 8:03be smart. She thought she could use her
- 8:05son to get out of trouble and change the
- 8:07story to paint me as the villain. She
- 8:09started crying loudly and clung to Key's
- 8:12arm. Key looked confused and didn't know
- 8:14what to do or say. Pam used this
- 8:16opportunity to say, "Key, your wife
- 8:18wrecked her car and is now blaming me.
- 8:21She knows I can't afford a car like
- 8:23that, so she's accusing me out of
- 8:24jealousy. She's telling everyone I was
- 8:27jealous of her car and wrecked it." I
- 8:29only told Key, and I never said those
- 8:31words. I just told him the truth, that
- 8:34he wrecked my car. "Lena, shut up. I
- 8:37have done no such thing. How dare you
- 8:39accuse me of something so horrible? Key,
- 8:42Lena is threatening to call the cops on
- 8:44me. I didn't do anything wrong. She's
- 8:46trying to pass off her reckless driving
- 8:48on me."
- 8:49"Are you saying you didn't wreck my car,
- 8:50Pam?" "I didn't do it. You can't prove I
- 8:52was the one who wrecked your car." Here
- 8:54is where things get interesting, Pam.
- 8:56You see this beautiful dash cam? It has
- 8:59both front and back facing cameras. You
- 9:01know what that means? It means it also
- 9:03records who is driving the car. Pam
- 9:05didn't see this coming. She thought she
- 9:07could convince everyone I was lying. As
- 9:10I said, she was out of touch with
- 9:11technology and didn't know double-sided
- 9:13dash cams existed. Her expression
- 9:16confirmed my doubts. Pam now knew she
- 9:18was trapped. I had wisely made sure my
- 9:20car was well protected. My insurance
- 9:22would take care of the repair costs. All
- 9:25I had to do was file a police report.
- 9:27This meant Pam was in deep trouble with
- 9:29no escape in sight. She started to
- 9:31tremble as tears gathered in her eyes
- 9:33again. Key looked stunned and quickly
- 9:35pushed Pam away just as the cops drove
- 9:37up to the house.
- 9:39Mom, how could you do this? Lena was
- 9:41right. You planned this ever since I
- 9:43accidentally told you about the new car.
- 9:45Key, son, it was a mistake. I was just a
- 9:48little jealous. That's all. I couldn't
- 9:50afford a car like that. I got lost in
- 9:53jealousy and did something stupid.
- 9:55Please forgive me. Forgive you? Mom, you
- 9:58destroyed the car, stole someone else's
- 10:00property, wrecked it on purpose, and
- 10:02then tried to blame my wife. You think I
- 10:04can forgive that? Pam kept crying and
- 10:06begging Key for forgiveness while I was
- 10:08busy telling the cops what happened and
- 10:10handing over all the evidence. I
- 10:12connected my phone to the dashcam to
- 10:14show them the proof. Once they confirmed
- 10:16what happened, they proceeded to arrest
- 10:18Pam. She immediately panicked and said,
- 10:21"Key, you can't let them arrest me. I'm
- 10:23your mother. I just made a small
- 10:25mistake. Don't let them send me to
- 10:27jail." You have no right to ask that
- 10:29from me. You committed a crime and
- 10:31showed no real remorse. You didn't even
- 10:33apologize to Lena. You're on your own,
- 10:35Mom. There is no way on helping you.
- 10:38Lena, we can solve this between
- 10:40ourselves. There's no reason to get the
- 10:42cops involved. We are family, right? You
- 10:44wouldn't want your mother-in-law
- 10:46arrested, would you?
- 10:47Actually, no, Pam. You made it clear
- 10:49that I'm not family. It would give me
- 10:51great pleasure to see you arrested for
- 10:53committing a crime. Officers, take her
- 10:56away. I'm firm in my decision. I will
- 10:58sue her for stealing my car and damaging
- 11:00it. Pam cried out and screamed, seeking
- 11:03Key's help, but he turned away, unable
- 11:05to forgive her betrayal. But he moved
- 11:07away as well. The cops arrested her and
- 11:10put her in the police car, driving her
- 11:12off to the station. Key and I went
- 11:14inside the house, and I called my
- 11:16insurance company to inform them about
- 11:18the situation. Once I was done, Key sat
- 11:21me down to apologize.
- 11:23Lena, I'm so sorry. I could have stopped
- 11:25this from happening. My mom has always
- 11:28been so difficult with you, but I didn't
- 11:30do anything to stop her. It's okay, Key.
- 11:33You did stand up for me more than once.
- 11:35I don't blame you for trying to keep
- 11:37your mom in your life, but after today,
- 11:39I'm done with her.
- 11:41Oh, trust me, Lena. I'm done with her as
- 11:44well. I don't want anything to do with
- 11:46her anymore. I've been giving in to her
- 11:48demands for a while now. I didn't see
- 11:50how selfish and spoiled she was getting.
- 11:53I guess this is a wake-up call for me,
- 11:55too. I hope Dad sees it as well. Just
- 11:57then, Key's phone rang. It was his dad,
- 12:00Rick, calling to understand what was
- 12:02going on. Key answered the call and put
- 12:04it on speaker.
- 12:06Hey, Dad. You're on loudspeaker. Lena's
- 12:09here as well. We assumed this is about
- 12:11Mom.
- 12:12Yes, it is. Key, what's going on? Your
- 12:15mom called from the police station
- 12:17saying she had been arrested. She told
- 12:19me that Lena wrecked her new car and
- 12:21blamed it on her. I don't understand
- 12:23what's going on. Was Lena trying to spin
- 12:25the story to get her way again?
- 12:27Rick assumed Pam was telling the truth,
- 12:30but he wasn't oblivious to his wife's
- 12:31antics. He sought confirmation before
- 12:34believing her outright. Key, on the
- 12:36other hand, was super pissed at what Pam
- 12:38tried to pull.
- 12:39Dad, Mom is lying. She stole Lena's car
- 12:42and wrecked it on purpose. She took the
- 12:44keys when Lena wasn't looking. The dash
- 12:47cams on the car caught everything. What
- 12:49the hell? Key, why did your mother lie
- 12:52to me? This is insane. I assume she
- 12:54wants me to bail her out. Rick, this is
- 12:57the same story she told Key when the
- 12:59cops tried to arrest her. She thought I
- 13:01didn't have proof of her driving my car.
- 13:04Well, I have a double camera dash cam,
- 13:06so her lies didn't work. Oh God, I
- 13:09should have seen this coming. She had
- 13:11been watching your new car for a while,
- 13:13Lena. I thought she was just venting. I
- 13:15never imagined she would go this far.
- 13:18Rick was in complete shock after hearing
- 13:20the details of what happened. He was
- 13:22furious with Pam and ashamed of what she
- 13:24had tried to pull. Key and Rick had a
- 13:26private talk after which they hung up.
- 13:28He later told me that Rick had no
- 13:30intention of bailing Pam out. He was
- 13:32both furious and disappointed. He also
- 13:35sent me an apology text telling me not
- 13:37to hate him for his wife's actions. It
- 13:39broke my heart. I hoped he would do
- 13:41better for himself. He didn't deserve
- 13:43such a horrible wife like Pam. Well,
- 13:45guess what, guys? The universe listened
- 13:48to me. Rick met with Pam at the police
- 13:50station and refused to bail her out. He
- 13:52tried to get some remorse out of her and
- 13:54see if she was willing to change
- 13:56herself. But Pam wasn't done sabotaging
- 13:58herself. She actually screamed at him
- 14:01for being a useless husband who couldn't
- 14:03give her a good car or bail her out of
- 14:05prison. That was rich coming from
- 14:07someone who left her job to mooch off
- 14:09her son and husband. Rick was so angry
- 14:11that he told Pam he was done. He came
- 14:13home and called us telling us he would
- 14:15be filing for divorce. He was done being
- 14:18a verbal punching bag for his wife.
- 14:20A year has passed since that incident.
- 14:22Rick actually ended up divorcing Pam and
- 14:25moving in with us. The court didn't even
- 14:27give Pam alimony because she had
- 14:29willingly left her job without
- 14:31consulting Rick. They didn't have much
- 14:33and whatever she got out of the divorce
- 14:35was spent on paying me back for the
- 14:37damages to my car. Yes, I went ahead
- 14:39with my case or rather my insurance
- 14:41company did. I got a replacement car
- 14:43within a month and all was well with me.
- 14:46Pam was slapped with multiple charges
- 14:48and made to pay a lot of money. She went
- 14:50back to working two jobs because she
- 14:52didn't have money to pay my insurance
- 14:54and sustain herself. She did try to beg
- 14:57Key and me for help, but we shut the
- 14:59door in her face. Since then, we have
- 15:01had no contact with her.
- 15:03Last I heard, she was staying with a
- 15:05family member who didn't tolerate her
- 15:06nonsense. Pam is now poor and unhappy,
- 15:09but I guess that's what she gets for
- 15:11being a greedy and entitled woman.
