My Business Is Getting Bombed. What Do I Do? — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00So, hi Alex. I have a closing design and
- 0:02manufacturing business in Russia that
- 0:04has been distributed via Wildberries,
- 0:05which is like Amazon here. Ukraine has
- 0:07been bombing the distribution warehouses
- 0:09and we have had huge losses. I'm torn
- 0:12because I have a family in Ukraine and
- 0:14don't support the war. I don't think my
- 0:15business can hold on in Russia. By the
- 0:17way, whatever you guys are doing right
- 0:18now, it's flashing like like blue every
- 0:212 seconds, so I can't see what the
- 0:22question is.
- 0:24But I don't know how to get out either.
- 0:26So, what do I do? It's still doing this.
- 0:28I don't know.
- 0:30Uh what do you do? Okay, so
- 0:33you don't know how you can get out.
- 0:35Dude, you're in a war-torn country.
- 0:36That's very tough. I'm very sorry.
- 0:38Um
- 0:43>> [sighs]
- 0:45>> Honestly,
- 0:47this feels less like a business question
- 0:48and more like a life question, you know,
- 0:50because these I would say war and
- 0:51violence tend to be outside of the
- 0:53normal
- 0:54um
- 0:56elements of business because typically
- 0:58I'd say most normal I'll say normal
- 1:00businesses happen in more modernized and
- 1:03stable societies, which is like why war
- 1:05is bad for bad for business um because
- 1:08these things are completely unforeseen.
- 1:09There's really nothing you can do about
- 1:10it.
- 1:11Um
- 1:13I would say this,
- 1:15do not judge your ability based on your
- 1:17existing circumstances.
- 1:19I think that it would make sense for
- 1:21you. The fact that you've been able to
- 1:23do as well as you have and continue to
- 1:25hold on despite literally getting
- 1:27bombed.
- 1:28Um
- 1:29kudos to you and I'm sorry that you're
- 1:30going through that.
- 1:32If it were me,
- 1:34I would make every I would use every
- 1:36ounce of effort I could to get out and
- 1:38go to a place uh that was safer. I'm
- 1:40assuming that
- 1:44The thing is your skill your skill set
- 1:46transfers and you might be able to just
- 1:48sell
- 1:50direct to consumer in a non-war-torn
- 1:53country and as long as you have your
- 1:54laptop and your connection to the
- 1:55internet, um
- 1:57I think that's probably the approach I
- 1:58would do because I don't think that
- 1:59these stability's going to happen
- 2:01on a timeline that is going to match
- 2:03your goals.
- 2:04And so I would probably try and shift my
- 2:06business to where it is stable. I know
- 2:08that's a radical
- 2:09uh, answer, but you were also in a
- 2:11radical time. So, that's my honest
- 2:13answer. Otherwise, hold on there, man.
- 2:16Um, wish you the best. If you like this
- 2:17video and you're business owner who
- 2:18wants to break through your current
- 2:19revenue ceiling, I just took every
- 2:21lesson from scaling 10 businesses past
- 2:2210 million and three businesses past 100
- 2:24million into a completely free scaling
- 2:26roadmap that I've used to go from zero
- 2:28to one, zero to 10, and zero to 100
- 2:30plus. And so you can click here and you
- 2:32can check it out. Again, absolutely
- 2:33free. And since you're business owner,
- 2:34appreciate you and enjoy.
