  1. 0:00Imagine you are just a small child. It
  2. 0:02is the morning of November 3, 2009, and
  3. 0:04you are heading to school. Everything
  4. 0:05is routine. The sounds of nature and
  5. 0:08the chatter of your friends echo all
  6. 0:10around. You have two things on your
  7. 0:12mind. School, which you can't wait to
  8. 0:14finish, and the video games you
  9. 0:16constantly play. That is exactly how
  10. 0:19Musa started his day. But unlike anyone
  11. 0:22else, Musa never made it to school that
  12. 0:24day. His desk remained empty. His
  13. 0:27family was filled with anxiety. There
  14. 0:29was only one lead regarding Musa. The
  15. 0:31silhouette of a young man in a hoodie
  16. 0:34walking beside him. Musa, like you and
  17. 0:37me, loved playing Metin2. He was an
  18. 0:40innocent child. At the end of the day,
  19. 0:42he was just a kid. Yet, people were
  20. 0:44anything but innocent toward him. A
  21. 0:46small 13-year-old boy was called a
  22. 0:48thief. He was called a hacker. They
  23. 0:50said he was stealing everyone's
  24. 0:51accounts. That is why, they claimed, he
  25. 0:53fell victim to a murder. So, was Musa
  26. 0:56Kang really a hacker, and was he killed
  27. 0:58because of Metin2? Thank you all very
  28. 1:01much for the feedback you gave on the
  29. 1:03previous video. That is why I strive to
  30. 1:05research story-based videos thoroughly
  31. 1:07and approach them with the most
  32. 1:09accurate narrative style. I hope you
  33. 1:11enjoy this video as well. If you are
  34. 1:13not subscribed to our channel, I invite
  35. 1:15you to subscribe. This is, in fact, the
  36. 1:17beginning of a period marked by a
  37. 1:19child's painful death and the peak of
  38. 1:22media manipulation. Consider that
  39. 1:25things reached such a point that Metin2
  40. 1:27was banned in our country for a time.
  41. 1:30Yes, you heard that correctly. While it
  42. 1:33is easy to correct fake news with
  43. 1:35reliable sources in 2026, in a period
  44. 1:37like 2009, when internet usage was
  45. 1:39lower, everyone waited for the evening
  46. 1:42news in front of their screens. One
  47. 1:45thing I can never forget from that time
  48. 1:47was getting an internet cafe ban. This
  49. 1:50event dragged you, me, and perhaps many
  50. 1:53other children along for no reason.
  51. 1:56Let's get to our topic. Musa, on
  52. 1:57November 3, 2009. He leaves home to go
  53. 2:00to school but is never heard from again
  54. 2:03. Dozens of witnesses, yet the
  55. 2:05statements are all different. Some
  56. 2:07friends mention a hooded man walking
  57. 2:10next to Musa, while others claimed Musa
  58. 2:12was a hacker and people whose accounts
  59. 2:14he stole kidnapped him. The case
  60. 2:17actually became popular at the time
  61. 2:19precisely because of this final claim.
  62. 2:21The police, however, began their
  63. 2:23investigations objectively. They noted
  64. 2:25every single finding and every single
  65. 2:28statement. The disgusting media of that
  66. 2:30period, however, during a time when an
  67. 2:32innocent child was missing, turned
  68. 2:33these claims—which were purely
  69. 2:35allegations—into, "What happened to
  70. 2:36Hacker Musa?""Was he kidnapped, or was
  71. 2:39he killed because of Metin2?" They
  72. 2:41narrated the story with such distorted
  73. 2:43phrases. The most important clue
  74. 2:45obtained in the investigation was
  75. 2:47security footage of Musa walking with a
  76. 2:48hooded youth that morning. But at the
  77. 2:51time, even the identity of the person
  78. 2:53in the hood was unknown. Musa was
  79. 2:56missing, but there was still hope for
  80. 2:58him. Even though it wasn't clear who
  81. 3:01kidnapped him, law enforcement worked
  82. 3:03tirelessly and continued to search for
  83. 3:05Musa. That was until the tragic news
  84. 3:08arrived on November 9. Around 11 PM,
  85. 3:12Musa’s lifeless body was found in an
  86. 3:14abandoned building near the State
  87. 3:17Railways station in Erzurum. After the
  88. 3:20initial examination, the case shifted
  89. 3:23from a missing child report to being
  90. 3:25investigated as a murder. Meanwhile,
  91. 3:27forensic examinations were quickly
  92. 3:30underway to determine the cause of
  93. 3:32Musa's death. According to the forensic
  94. 3:35report, it was stated that Musa had
  95. 3:37been beaten and died from a brain
  96. 3:39hemorrhage caused by a blow to the head
  97. 3:41with a hard object. The Kenk family was
  98. 3:43devastated. While the pain of losing
  99. 3:46their child was still fresh, the media
  100. 3:48repeated these phrases. Hacker Musa is
  101. 3:50dead. Who killed Hacker Musa? Why was
  102. 3:53Musa killed for stealing whose
  103. 3:55character? It is so painful, isn't it?
  104. 3:58You lose someone from your family, and
  105. 4:00everywhere your son is officially
  106. 4:02treated like a thief and it is said he
  107. 4:04was killed because of it. In the coming
  108. 4:07days, a development would occur that
  109. 4:09would fundamentally change the
  110. 4:10investigation. On November 12, 2009, as
  111. 4:13part of the investigation, Musa's
  112. 4:15cousin was taken into custody. The
  113. 4:18reason for the detention was that he
  114. 4:20resembled the person in the security
  115. 4:21camera footage, and witness
  116. 4:23identifications were effective in the
  117. 4:24investigation. The incident had echoed
  118. 4:27so much in the media that Musa's cousin
  119. 4:30was quickly referred to the second
  120. 4:32court. He was just one step away from
  121. 4:34going to prison. However, his cousin
  122. 4:36did not accept the accusations. In his
  123. 4:38statement reflected in the press at the
  124. 4:40time, he even said he hadn't seen Musa
  125. 4:42for about two years. It seemed like the
  126. 4:43murder had been solved. At the end of
  127. 4:46the day, no murderer wants to confess
  128. 4:48their crime. Usually, they either lie
  129. 4:50or don't speak until the evidence
  130. 4:53emerges. But let's not forget, a person
  131. 4:56being arrested does not necessarily
  132. 4:58mean they are guilty. The police had to
  133. 5:01identify who the person in the security
  134. 5:03camera really was and prove his
  135. 5:05connection to the incident. Although
  136. 5:08the police had arrested his cousin,
  137. 5:10they were also looking into different
  138. 5:12suspects, collecting DNA samples from
  139. 5:14the scene, and investigating the
  140. 5:16homeless living in the area. Musa's
  141. 5:18cousin was also 16 years old. He was a
  142. 5:20young man who had just entered
  143. 5:22adolescence. But there were a few other
  144. 5:24homeless people at the scene who looked
  145. 5:25like him. One of them was named Burhan.
  146. 5:28He was also 16 years old. He was
  147. 5:30dressed like Musa's cousin and matched
  148. 5:33the footage on the security cameras
  149. 5:35perfectly. Moreover, on the night of
  150. 5:37November 24, Burhan was caught by the
  151. 5:39police very close to the scene of the
  152. 5:41incident. During this process, Musa's
  153. 5:43cousin was still detained and about to
  154. 5:45go to prison. Let's never forget this.
  155. 5:47Now they had not one, but two suspects.
  156. 5:51Musa's cousin and the homeless Burhan.
  157. 5:54When the police showed Burhan the
  158. 5:55camera recordings, he admitted that he
  159. 5:57was the person walking next to Musa.
  160. 6:00But the most striking point was
  161. 6:02Burhan's claim that Musa's cousin had
  162. 6:04killed him. According to Burhan's
  163. 6:07account, he took Musa to an abandoned
  164. 6:09building but did not do anything there.
  165. 6:12Every witness statement had to be read
  166. 6:15objectively. You might say "get out of
  167. 6:17here" at this point. But that is not
  168. 6:19how it works in judicial authorities.
  169. 6:22According to his claim, Musa's cousin
  170. 6:24had committed the murder. Both suspects
  171. 6:26were accusing each other, and the
  172. 6:27investigation was increasingly reaching
  173. 6:29a deadlock. Exactly 2 months after the
  174. 6:32incident, on December 24, 2009, it was
  175. 6:34determined that the bloodstains on
  176. 6:36Burhan's jacket belonged to Musa. The
  177. 6:39killer was now clear; with the evidence
  178. 6:41, Burhan was definitely the killer. So,
  179. 6:44why did Burhan kill Musa? Why did he
  180. 6:47frame Musa's cousin? Metin2 or a
  181. 6:49similar game was not mentioned in any
  182. 6:52of the court records. Musa was not a
  183. 6:55hacker. He was a 13-year-old child who
  184. 6:57loved playing games, just like you, me,
  185. 6:59and people like us. He was an innocent
  186. 7:01child. The killer, however, was
  187. 7:02ruthless. A ruthless thief walking the
  188. 7:05streets with 52 criminal records. That
  189. 7:07day, he crossed Musa’s path. His goal
  190. 7:10was to force him to steal. Musa
  191. 7:12resisted, he fought back. He tried to
  192. 7:14escape him many times. But he was
  193. 7:17cornered. The killer murdered Musa with
  194. 7:20a stone he found right there. Musa, who
  195. 7:25was trying to resist him. Not the
  196. 7:27hacker Musa, not the Musa who stole
  197. 7:28someone’s account. The Musa who
  198. 7:30innocently went to school and played
  199. 7:32games just like you and me. The
  200. 7:34incident was neither a hacker's
  201. 7:35account-stealing story nor a story of a
  202. 7:37child trying to protect his valuable
  203. 7:39accounts. It was simply and solely the
  204. 7:42story of a tiny child being brutally
  205. 7:45murdered by a homeless youth with 52
  206. 7:47criminal records. Back then, the killer
  207. 7:51may have been found and jailed, but
  208. 7:54because he was young, he only received
  209. 7:56a 32-year sentence under the juvenile
  210. 7:58delinquent law. Can you imagine that?
  211. 8:02The price of an innocent child's death
  212. 8:04is only 32 years. And the killer will
  213. 8:08return to join us in 15 years from now.
  214. 8:11He will get on the same bus as you and
  215. 8:13me again. He will watch the same TV
  216. 8:15channels as you and me. But we will
  217. 8:16know this very well. Musa was not a
  218. 8:19hacker, and he was slaughtered by a
  219. 8:22ruthless, ignorant youth with 52
  220. 8:24criminal records. Now I ask you. Are
  221. 8:28games really what turn people into
  222. 8:30killers, or is it the measures that
  223. 8:32fail to protect our children from
  224. 8:34killers?
