8. 0:24family of our master Muhammad. AM. I

16. 0:52UNISBank. I hold in high regard the
17. 0:57Central Java Regional Leadership Forum,
18. 0:59whom I apologize for not being able to
19. 1:01name one by one. I hold in high regard
20. 1:06the Head of the Muhammadiyah Central
21. 1:08Java Social Development Council, Mr.
22. 1:13Jumai, M.M. and the Puppeteer, Mas
23. 1:20Ketut Budiman. All the ladies and
24. 1:23gentlemen, whom I respect. First, on
25. 1:26behalf of the Central Java Muhammadiyah
26. 1:30Regional Leadership, I wish a happy
27. 1:3377th anniversary to RRI and thank you
28. 1:37for the cooperation this evening. This
29. 1:40performance is also part of the 48th
30. 1:43Muhammadiyah Muktamar Festival, which
31. 1:49will be held from November 18th to 20th
32. 1:52, 2022, so the series of events began
33. 1:57some time ago, including tonight. Even
34. 2:02though Muhammadiyah is an Islamic
35. 2:04organization, it does not forbid wayang
36. 2:06. Especially since Muhammadiyah was
37. 2:12born from the Jogja Palace. Kiai Dahlan
38. 2:15was a member of the palace family. So,
39. 2:18in essence, Muhammadiyah is very
40. 2:20Javanese. Yes, Muhammadiyah is very
41. 2:22Javanese. If it seems that Muhammadiyah
42. 2:26has lost its Javanese roots, it may be
43. 2:29because some of us misunderstand or
44. 2:31misapply its teachings. So,
45. 2:36Muhammadiyah is very Javanese. Whatever
46. 2:40the reason, the Jogja Palace is Islamic
47. 2:42, which is why they are called "Sultan.
48. 2:43" The Sultanate of Jogja. That is taken
49. 2:49from a verse in the Quran. A prayer you
50. 2:53often recite, "wa adkhilni mudkhala
51. 3:00sidqin wa akhrijni mukhraja sidqin
52. 3:01waj'al li min ladunka sultonan nashira.
53. 3:02" So, Islam needs collaboration with
54. 3:08power to build its preaching, alongside
55. 3:14culture. Therefore, Muhammadiyah needs
56. 3:18wayang as a medium for preaching. Once
57. 3:21again, Muhammadiyah does not forbid
58. 3:24wayang, but uses it as a medium for
59. 3:27preaching, a tool for its mission. A
60. 3:30tool depends on how it is used. If the
61. 3:34puppeteer is Mas Ketut, I believe there
62. 3:36will certainly be a preaching mission
63. 3:38within it. So thank you to the head of
64. 3:42RRI for working with us. Because
65. 3:46preaching requires
66. 3:50four elements. One, preaching needs
67. 3:54human resources. Two, preaching needs
68. 3:58power. Without power, preaching cannot
69. 4:02run smoothly. Prophet Muhammad spent 13
70. 4:05years in Mecca but could not build the
71. 4:07community there. Why? Because it was
72. 4:10not supported by power, not supported
73. 4:13by the authorities. Thus, the first
74. 4:16Islamic community was built not in
75. 4:18Mecca, but in Medina. Once the Prophet
76. 4:21had the support of power, it is
77. 4:23impossible for Muhammadiyah to ignore
78. 4:26power. Because power is a part of
79. 4:29supporting the mission. Third,
80. 4:32preaching needs economic support. And
81. 4:35fourth, preaching needs cultural
82. 4:37support. Preaching needs support from
83. 4:40culture. Tonight we are being cultural
84. 4:42because why? It is part of the medium
85. 4:45for preaching. After all, Muhammadiyah
86. 4:48was born from the palace, the Jogja
87. 4:50palace, which is an Islamic palace
88. 4:52because of the title Sultan. Thus, the
89. 4:55King of Jogja holds two powers. One is
90. 4:58King, two is the Caliph of God, the
91. 4:59Protector of Religion. People often
92. 5:02forget that the King of Jogja holds two
93. 5:05titles. First as king, second as
94. 5:08Khalifatullah Sayyiding Panotogomo.
95. 5:12These are the titles held by the King
96. 5:14of Jogja. The question is, to what
97. 5:16extent does the King of Jogja manifest
98. 5:19his power as Khalifatullah Sayyiding
99. 5:21Panotogomo? If this is lost, it would
100. 5:23be a sin, because why? It would change
101. 5:25the direction of the Jogja Palace.
