1. 0:00A boy was given a letter by his school
2. 0:03authorities and expelled, with orders
3. 0:05never to return. The boy went home,
4. 0:08gave the letter to his mother, and said
5. 0:10, "Mom, the school said not to come
6. 0:12back." The mother opened the letter; it
7. 0:15read that your child is intellectually
8. 0:17disabled. Do not send him to our school
9. 0:19from tomorrow. We do not want our
10. 0:21school's results to suffer because of
11. 0:23your child. Tears filled the mother's
12. 0:25eyes. The boy asked, "Mom, what is
13. 0:27written in this letter?""And why did
14. 0:30the school tell me not to return?" The
15. 0:32mother replied, "Son, it says your son
16. 0:35has an incredibly high IQ.""Our school
17. 0:38lacks the capability to teach a child
18. 0:40with such a high IQ." The mother read
19. 0:43the letter differently and told her son
20. 0:46, "You are very intelligent.""And no
21. 0:48school in this world can teach a child
22. 0:50with such an intelligent mind.""You
23. 0:53don't need to go to any school.""I will
24. 0:55teach you at home." In his childhood,
25. 0:57people laughed. Saying your son is
26. 1:00slow-witted. He will never be able to
27. 1:02do anything in life. Do you know that
28. 1:04later, this same 'slow-witted' boy
29. 1:06brought light to this entire world? His
30. 1:09name is Thomas Alva Edison. He gave the
31. 1:12world the electric bulb, and to create
32. 1:15it, he conducted not 100, but 1000
33. 1:18failed experiments. When he had
34. 1:21finished 999 attempts to make the bulb,
35. 1:24someone asked, "You have failed 999
36. 1:26times.""Why are you still not giving up
37. 1:28?" He replied, "I have not failed 999
38. 1:31times.""I have learned 999 ways in
39. 1:35which a bulb cannot light up," and
40. 1:37finally, after 1000 attempts, he became
41. 1:40a great scientist in the eyes of the
42. 1:42world. If this whole world says that
43. 1:46you cannot do it. That it won't be
44. 1:48possible for you. Then show them that
45. 1:50you are the only one who can. If
46. 1:53someone calls you incompetent today,
47. 1:55they are only speaking for today. You
48. 1:57can change that tomorrow, can't you? Of
49. 2:00course, you might not be able to do a
50. 2:02task today, but you can learn to do it
51. 2:03by tomorrow, right?
