- 0:02Magandang araw sa inyong lahat at ngayon
- 0:05ay ating pagtatalakayan ang usapin
- 0:07tungkol sa missional church. So last
- 0:09meeting ay tinalakay natin what is the
- 0:11church. Ah yung pagkakaiba ng capital C
- 0:14na church and small letter C na church
- 0:17na nagbigay din sa atin para mas
- 0:18maunawaan natin how do we address and
- 0:21how do we use the term uh church with
- 0:23capital C and a small letter ah C. So
- 0:27ngayon po sa pagpapatuloy ang tulad ng
- 0:29ating subject na missional church ay um
- 0:32ito'y nag-e-engage sa atin para sa
- 0:34discourse or sa diskurso ng um what is
- 0:37the missional church? Ano ba ang
- 0:39missional ah ang missional church? So um
- 0:43kaya naman sa araw na ito ay tatalakayin
- 0:45na natin ito sa lente o sa punto ni
- 0:49vista ni John Calvin, isa sa mga
- 0:52theologian and reformer during the 16th
- 0:55century. Yan. Mahalaga po natin itong
- 0:57pag-aralan um lalo na if you are member
- 1:01of a reformed church. For example, you
- 1:03are member of UNIDA um UCCP yan those
- 1:08are reform churches. So huwag rin po
- 1:11tayong malilito pagka sinabi po nating
- 1:13reform ah
- 1:16reformed church. So or yung reform na
- 1:20salita kapagka capital R ito ay
- 1:22tumutukoy or rooted from the reformation
- 1:25movement at mag small letter R meaning
- 1:27yung reform yung pagbabago yan yung
- 1:30pagbabago ng iglesya yung binagong
- 1:32iglesya so pag capital R connected siya
- 1:36with the reformation movement ating
- 1:38small letter R ay yun po yung literal na
- 1:41description ng reform church so tayo
- 1:44saan po tayo doon sa capital are reform
- 1:47church we are connected with the
- 1:49reformation movement so let's now let's
- 1:52talk about the concept of church mission
- 1:54in the thought of John Calvin yan pero
- 1:57bago ang lahat sino po ba si John
- 2:00Calvin? Ayan sino ba si John Calvin? So
- 2:04saayon sa ilang mga ah pag-aaral siya po
- 2:07ay isang French theologian. Isa siyang
- 2:09pastor, isa siyang reformer who became
- 2:12the leading figure of the second
- 2:14generation of the Protestant reformation
- 2:17and the principal developer of reform or
- 2:20the Calvinist theology. So si John
- 2:23Calvin po ay siya yung ah later na
- 2:26reformer. Well actually um sa katunayan
- 2:29yung mga reformers hindi naman nila
- 2:30objective 'di ba sa pag-aaral ng ah
- 2:33history of Christianity. ah nawa
- 2:35naaalala ninyo 'no na 'yung mga
- 2:37reformers hindi naam hindi naman nila
- 2:39objective na baguhin ang o magtayo ng
- 2:43church. Gusto lang nila na i-reform
- 2:46'yung ibig sabihin bigyan ng bagong
- 2:48mukha 'yung iglesya sakayon sa kanilang
- 2:50mga pag-aaral at sa kanilang mga
- 2:52natututunan. So balit iba ang take ng
- 2:55mga um hindi reformer. So
- 2:59they took the idea of the reformers
- 3:01against the church. Okay. Kaya tinawag
- 3:03silang Protestants. Okay. So si si
- 3:07Calvin ay siya ay ang pangunahing ah
- 3:11nagbigay diin sa halaga ng reformed
- 3:14theology. Okay. So first publish niya ay
- 3:18yung Institutes of the Christian
- 3:20Religion in 1536 kung saan siya ay age
- 3:2426. Then uh he repeatedly revised and
- 3:28expanded it. Kaya naman in 1559
- 3:32edition yun yung definitive version na
- 3:35mayroon tayo na maaari nating mabasa.
- 3:38Well, um generally ah meron po tayo
- 3:41niyan sa online na makikita ng um
- 3:45Institutes of the Christian Religion ni
- 3:48John Calvin.
- 3:51Okay. Isa pa po um si John Calvin.
- 3:54Calvin is best known for emphasizing the
- 3:58absolute sovereignty of God. Yan po yung
- 4:00binibigyan niyang diin sa kanyang mga
- 4:02theology. the absolute sovereignty of
- 4:05God from which flow his doctrines of
- 4:08grace, predestination and the authority
- 4:10of the scripture. Kaya nga tayo
- 4:12mapapansin niyo no, marami sa mga marami
- 4:14sa atin na mga um na Christians
- 4:18especially particularly the reformed
- 4:21Christians, the reformed uh community.
- 4:24So 'yung sovereignty of God na
- 4:27kinikilala 'yung kapangyarihan at
- 4:29kadakilaan ng Diyos lalo na sa usapin
- 4:32natin ng doktrina ng biyaya ng Diyos ng
- 4:35grace predestination. So ah nandito
- 4:38'yung idea ng predestination na ang
- 4:40pananaw kasi nung iba sa predestination
- 4:42ay 'yung 'yung ah sa dito sa
- 4:45predestination ni John Calvin ay parang
- 4:47kahit magpakabuti ka kahit ano pa yung
- 4:48gawin mo ay pagka hindi ka in-elect ikaw
- 4:52ay mapupunta sa impyerno. Actually hindi
- 4:54po ganun ang interpretation niya mas
- 4:56more of the sovereignty of God. Meaning
- 4:58bago ka likhain sa mundo, alam na ng
- 5:00Diyos kung ano magiging buhay mo. You
- 5:03have been electo ka pa ma ah mabuhay sa
- 5:07mundo. So sovereignty ng Diyos ang
- 5:11tinitingin. Ibig sabihin ah alam ng
- 5:13Diyos kung ikaw sa buhay mo ay magiging
- 5:16ah ipapamuhay mo ang pananampalataya mo
- 5:18o hindi mo ipapamuhay ang iyong
- 5:20pananampalataya. So that's
- 5:22predestination
- 5:26Calvin. So gay din yung authority ng
- 5:28scripture. So we identify the authority
- 5:31of the scripture through the um the
- 5:34importance of um through the importance
- 5:37of our view on God. 'Di ba?
- 5:47Ayan. So bahagi rin nito ah John Calvin
- 5:52si interpretation of Christianity
- 5:53especially through the institutes dito
- 5:56sa institutes of religion became the
- 5:58normative statement of the reform faith.
- 6:00So ito yung naging ah um ah parang ah
- 6:05tuntungan ng ah reformed faith, ng
- 6:08reformed theology and deeply influence
- 6:11Protestant churches in Europe and in
- 6:13North America. Well, um, na, naging
- 6:16bahagi rin tayo nito. Bakit po? Dahil we
- 6:19have been colonized by this um groups
- 6:23yan. So, kaya yung mga Presbyterians,
- 6:25ayan yyung presbyanism is rooted from
- 6:28the reform theology of the Calvinist
- 6:30movement or the of John Calvin. So, in
- 6:33Geneva, si Calvin, he helps shape a new
- 6:36pattern of church governance, worship
- 6:39and discipline that became a model for
- 6:42reformed churches worldwide. So dito
- 6:44simple lang yung nais ni John Calvin.
- 6:46Simple lang yung kanyang pananaw sa um
- 6:50pagiging isang iglesya. Ayan. So kaya
- 6:54naman ah John Calvin's definition of the
- 6:58true church ay ipinahayag bilang
- 7:01wherever we see the word of God.
- 7:04Technically when we say the word of God
- 7:06is not only the Bible. The word of God
- 7:09ay sinasabi sa atin sa iba't ibang mga
- 7:11pamamaraan ' ba maaaring sa kapwa mo,
- 7:13maaaring sa um sa sa nararanasan mo sa
- 7:19nararanasan natin. And that's how we see
- 7:22the word of God. Halimbawa bakit tayo
- 7:24pumasok dito sa ah sa klase natin sa TEE
- 7:28yan sa Theological Education by
- 7:29extension. Bakit? Dahil gusto nating
- 7:31magpastor o baka dahil narinig natin
- 7:34yung tawag ng Diyos. And that's the word
- 7:36of God. So para kay John Calvin, the
- 7:38true church is that wherever we see the
- 7:41word of God purely preached and heard
- 7:44and the sacraments administered
- 7:45according to Christ's institution
- 7:48there
- 7:50it is not to be doubted a church of God
- 7:54exist. meaning hindi nag-e-exclude yyung
- 7:57idea ni John Calvin about the church.
- 8:01'Di ba napaka-inclusive nung idea. Kaya
- 8:04nga even yung missional church idea ni
- 8:07John Calvin na atin ding dinadala sa
- 8:09kasalukuyan ay nagbubukas sa atin na
- 8:12maging
- 8:14inclusive. So there are uh three
- 8:17important descriptive uh characteristics
- 8:20of the church for um John Calvin. So
- 8:24first is that the church as the mother
- 8:26of the faith communities. Yan when we
- 8:30say the mother of the faith communities
- 8:33um sa institutes of relig of Christian
- 8:38religion sa book 4 nito of the holy
- 8:41catholic church uh John Calvin treats
- 8:44the church as the mother of the mother
- 8:47of uh the faith communities hindi ibig
- 8:50sabihin no one can have God as
- 8:54father as or as parent without the
- 8:57church as uh as you recognize it as the
- 9:00mother. Well, technically medyo um medyo
- 9:03sexist iyung dating but the the idea is
- 9:05that um the church is really connected
- 9:09with God. So the church conceives birts,
- 9:15nourishes and protects the faithful.
- 9:19That's very important. No, the church
- 9:21conceives,
- 9:24birtaks, nourishes and protects the
- 9:28faithful. And also we can we can uh we
- 9:31can carry the idea also doon sa the
- 9:34church as the body of Christ, which is
- 9:36medyo ito yung alam na alam na ng ah
- 9:39alam na alam na ng lahat no. Um
- 9:45lalo na nababasa natin ito sa Bible, the
- 9:48church as the body of Christ. So for
- 9:51John Calvin, binigyan niya itong diin
- 9:53that as united under Christ the Head.
- 9:56Kaya nga ' ba meron siyang ah meron
- 9:58siyang ah meron sa UCCP yyung united and
- 10:02uniting ganyan. So because you carry um
- 10:06the Calvinist idea that united under the
- 10:10Christ under Christ the head composed of
- 10:13the elect meaning it is the invisible
- 10:15church later on ah pwede pa nating
- 10:17ma-discuss yan the invisible church and
- 10:19express visibly in gathered congregation
- 10:23the visible church so pag sinabi nating
- 10:25invisible church well well well hindi
- 10:27natin siya na nakikita dahil tangi ang
- 10:30Diyos lamang ang ah nag-compose nung
- 10:32elect dahil nga alam niya the
- 10:34sovereignty of God um when we talk about
- 10:36the reform theology and it has been
- 10:39expressed visibly in the gathered
- 10:42congregation through us through the body
- 10:46of Christ yan gayon din uh descriptive
- 10:50characteristic of the church is that the
- 10:52church as agent of God's mission so the
- 10:56so legitimate missionary community is
- 10:59the church that that's the idea of John
- 11:01Calvin The so legitimate missionary
- 11:04community is the church and the task of
- 11:07the church is to proclaim the gospel to
- 11:09all nation. But the question is how does
- 11:14the church uh learn how to become a
- 11:17church by participating in the community
- 11:22by participating in the mission for
- 11:25mission of uh the world.
- 11:34na pindot. Ayan. So kaya naman the
- 11:37descriptive characteristics of the
- 11:38church for John Calvin is the church as
- 11:40the mother of the faith communities that
- 11:43birts, nourishes [sumisingasing]
- 11:44' baigay ng buhay. And the church as the
- 11:47body of Christ united uh composed of the
- 11:52elect the invisible uh church and
- 11:55express visibly through the gathered
- 11:57congregation. the church as agents of
- 12:01God's mission. So we learn from the
- 12:04community and we participate in the
- 12:06community. Yeah. And with the community
- 12:10so paano ngayon natin madadala yung
- 12:13missional character of the church
- 12:16through the institutes of religion ni
- 12:18John Calvin? Una, the church exist for
- 12:22the proclamation of the gospel. When we
- 12:25say the gospel, it means good news.
- 12:28Well, technically, kapagka tiningnan
- 12:30natin yung salitang good news, hindi
- 12:32lang siya or yung gospel, hindi lang
- 12:34siya nakakabit doon sa Bible. Bakit po?
- 12:37Halimbawa para sa mga taong nagugutom,
- 12:40what is the good news for them
- 12:43na mayroon silang makakain?
- 12:46Sa panahon na ito, um, I don't know if
- 12:49diyan sa area na inyo ay naranasan niyo
- 12:53yung malakas na ah malakas na pagbagyo
- 12:56kung saan maraming mga tao ang
- 12:58naghahanap ng tirahan dahil nasira ang
- 13:00kanilang tahanan. What is the good news
- 13:02for them na mayroong bukas at matibay na
- 13:06tahanan na maari nilang masilungan?
- 13:09Meaning the proclamation of the gospel
- 13:11is not only the proclamation of what is
- 13:13written in the Bible but the church
- 13:16exists for the proclamation of the
- 13:18gospel of the good news that gave value
- 13:22sa buhay ng marami yan. Mamaya i-discuss
- 13:25pa natin ng maigi. Ikalawa is mission is
- 13:29inclusive and universal in scope. Okay
- 13:32po mamaya italakay natin yan kasi minsan
- 13:35mayroong misconception sa mission ah as
- 13:38inclusive and universal na parang ibig
- 13:40sabihin gagawing kristiyano ang lahat.
- 13:41Hindi po. Hindi po. Iyun ang tinutukoy
- 13:43sa mission. Gayun din
- 13:46ang missional character ng church doon
- 13:49sa Institutes of Christian Religion is
- 13:51that the church as the soul legitimate
- 13:54missionary agent. So binibigyan natin ng
- 13:57halaga na yong church ay talagang
- 14:01kabahagi at nakikibahagi sa misyon ng
- 14:04Diyos. So kapagka kasi wala namang
- 14:07misyon ang iglesya eh. Walang misyon ang
- 14:10iglesya. nagkakaroon ang misyon ng
- 14:12iglesya sa pamamagitan ng kanyang
- 14:14pakikibahagi sa mission dayi at ang
- 14:17ikaapat ay holistic and kingdom oriented
- 14:20mission so hindi lamang po pag sinabing
- 14:23holistic hindi lamang naka-focus ito
- 14:25doon sa usapin ng pananampalataya bagkos
- 14:28yung ating pananampalataya ay lumalapat
- 14:31maging sa ah sa mga nangyayari sa bawat
- 14:35araw at sa bawat yugdo ng ah panahon.
- 14:40Ayan. So kaya naman uh isa-isahin natin
- 14:45'yung apat na ito no'. Una, the church
- 14:47exist for the proclamation of the
- 14:50gospel. So Calvin insistes that the
- 14:53heart uh that that at the heart of
- 14:56mission is the proclamation of the
- 14:58gospel which is God's absolute will to
- 15:00give life to all who hear it.
- 15:05And the good news is also experiential
- 15:09ba. Ngayon din the preaching office is
- 15:12therefore central.
- 15:14Ministers are heralds sent to spread the
- 15:17doctrine of salvation to every part of
- 15:21the world. So what is the doctrine of
- 15:22salvation? Ito lang ba yung kaligtasan
- 15:24ng kaluluan? No. When we talk about the
- 15:27doctrine of salvation, it also includes
- 15:31salvation of the holistic being. Yung
- 15:36kaligtasan natin sa sa mga nangyayari sa
- 15:38ating lipunan. kaligtasan mula sa mga
- 15:41mental na mga uh hamon sa buhay. So
- 15:45preaching office is therefore central
- 15:48especially for us Protestants and
- 15:51reformed uh churches. sa
- 15:54sa ayon sa institutes um
- 15:58John Calvin argues that yung great
- 16:01commission is not limited doon sa mga
- 16:03apostles but it is also imply it implies
- 16:08a continuing mandate nagpapatuloy na
- 16:11mandato for the post apostolic church to
- 16:14go to all uh to go to all uh the world
- 16:18to go to all the nations not to make
- 16:21them Christians.
- 16:23But to bring the gospel, to bring the
- 16:26good news. Ano ba yung good news para sa
- 16:28konteksto? So in order for us to to
- 16:32identify uh what is the good news for
- 16:35the context ng community, kailangan
- 16:38natin yung ah ilubog yung sarili natin.
- 16:41I-expose natin yung sarili natin sa
- 16:43kanila. Hindi 'yung parang ito po 'yung
- 16:45isang katunayan minsan may mga ano
- 16:48indigenous ministries 'yung mga
- 16:50churches. Tapos indigenous ministries
- 16:53ang ginawa ng ilang churches dinalan
- 16:55nila ng tsinelas 'yung mga indigenous
- 16:57people. Eh yung indigenous people
- 16:59nakatira sila sa taas ng bundok. At pag
- 17:01umaakyat sila ng taas ng bundok,
- 17:04hinuhubad nila yung mga tsinelas nila.
- 17:06Bakit nila hinuhubad? Kasi nakaugat
- 17:08'yung kanilang mga sarili sa lupa. And
- 17:10when you ah give them sleepers, parang
- 17:14nilalagyan ng barrier yung connection ng
- 17:17indigenous people, yung mga paa nila sa
- 17:20buhay sa lupa. Dahil para sa mga
- 17:21indigenous people, ang lupa ay buhay.
- 17:25Yeah. 'Di ba? So in order for us to
- 17:27understand the gospel, kailangan
- 17:28na-understand din natin yung yung
- 17:30culture. So the church's primary task is
- 17:33to make the goodness of God known. So
- 17:36that all may join in the worship of uh
- 17:39God yan sa pagkilala at pag ah
- 17:42pagpapahalaga sa pagkilos ng Diyos sa
- 17:45buhay ng sanglilika. Pangalawa is that
- 17:48mission is inclusive and universal in
- 17:50scope. Kanina ' ba sabi ko sa inyo um
- 17:54usually ang ang pananaw ng marami that
- 17:57ah yung mission ay ah yung
- 18:00Christianization. But technically hindi
- 18:02po yun iung ah hindi po yoon iyung
- 18:06usapin ng mission. So when we talk about
- 18:09missi, miss is the mission of God. And
- 18:12what is the mission of God for the
- 18:13world? 'Di ba? What is the mission of
- 18:16God for the world? To bring life ' ba?
- 18:20Para bigyan ng buhay ang lahat ng
- 18:23kanyang nilikha. So therefore um
- 18:26Calvin's mission theology is inclusive
- 18:30wherein the gospel is for all people in
- 18:33all places on this earth. He emphasizes
- 18:37the call to the Gentiles as well as the
- 18:40Jews. Ibig sabihin hindi lapang ito para
- 18:43sa mga Hudyo kundi para rin ito sa mga
- 18:45hentil.
- 18:49Hindi lang din siya para sa mga hintil
- 18:51kundi para rin sa mga hujo. That all
- 18:54humans everywhere
- 18:56are the objects of mission. They are
- 18:59receivers and they are participants of
- 19:02God's mission whether in distant lands
- 19:05or in nominally Christian Europe under
- 19:09what uh he saw as the PayPal corruption.
- 19:12Bakit po? During ah during John Calvin's
- 19:16time yung PayPal corruption kung saan
- 19:18yung mga Pope ay nagkak ah nag ah
- 19:23nagnanais na rin na magkaroon ng mga um
- 19:28pagmamay-ari.
- 19:30at yung ah Simony. Narinig niyo na ba
- 19:32yan sa inyong uh Christian history
- 19:35class? And hopefully narinig niyo yung
- 19:37Simony. Ayan yung binebenta nila yung
- 19:39mga church possessions. Ayan. So yan
- 19:43yung nakita niyang corruption within the
- 19:45church at sinasabi niyang hindi ganyan
- 19:47dapat ang iglesya. The mission must be
- 19:51inclusive and universal in scope, not
- 19:54focusing on the personal.
- 19:57Okay. Kaya po si si John Calvin mismo
- 20:02he he advocated that the mission that
- 20:04the mission is inclusive and universal.
- 20:07So thus for Calvin the mission field is
- 20:10not only overseas it includes also iyung
- 20:14ating home mission to those who bear the
- 20:17Christ name but lack the uh the the um
- 20:22the courage to trust in uh God. Ayan. So
- 20:29kaya po yan yung bilang pagpapahalaga sa
- 20:31mission is inclusive. Meaning we bring
- 20:34the presence of God. We became agents of
- 20:38God's uh presence, missional presence to
- 20:42the world. Okay. Next po is that the
- 20:45church as the so legitimate missionary
- 20:48agent. So medyo connected siya doun sa
- 20:50kanina no. Sabi, "I only the church as
- 20:52the community of the word and
- 20:54sacrament." Meaning bakit po
- 20:56naka-capital yyung world word connected
- 20:58with according to the gospel of John the
- 21:01word of God is Jesus. and the sacraments
- 21:03as participation in the community life
- 21:05is the legitimate missionary. So as part
- 21:08of the church, as part of the um as part
- 21:12of the uh missionary church, yan the
- 21:16missional church, tayo ay nakikibahagi
- 21:19sa buhay ng iglesya. And this is
- 21:22consistent with uh John Calvin's brother
- 21:26Reformation Conviction that Roman
- 21:28hierarchy had distorted the gospel and
- 21:30th could not be trusted at God's as
- 21:33God's missionary instrument. So kita
- 21:35niyo na meron siyang ah context na
- 21:38pinaghuhugutan dahil meron siyang
- 21:40nakikita na bakit sa ah yung Roman
- 21:43hierarchy yung influence ng Roman Empire
- 21:46ay malaking bahagi na humahadlang doon
- 21:50sa missional identity of the church. So
- 21:53kaya naman uh Calvin rejected uh the
- 21:57idea that uh religious orders and
- 22:00religious authorities or the secular
- 22:02authorities are the proper agents of
- 22:05mission. The proper agents of mission is
- 22:08the community not someone who is uh in a
- 22:13position. So kaya dito no napakacommunal
- 22:17nung idea ni John Calvin when he talk
- 22:20about um missional church. Ayan. Ay
- 22:25nawala pala. Ayan. Yan po yung
- 22:27binabanggit natin kanina. So next is
- 22:29that the holistic and kingdom oriented
- 22:32mission. So when we talk about the
- 22:34holistic and kingdom oriented mission,
- 22:37una mahalaga sa bahagi na ito na yung
- 22:41mission is mission dayi that mission is
- 22:44God's mission 'di ba? In which the
- 22:47church participates rather than
- 22:49originates. Hindi po ito nagmula
- 22:52hindi po ito nagmula sa atin. We are
- 22:55participants of God's mission. So it
- 22:58includes theological renewal,
- 23:00reunification
- 23:01of scattered faith communities, support
- 23:04for oppressed churches and liberation
- 23:08from false teachings. So dito po um sa
- 23:12bahagi na ito ay atin pong ah bibigyang
- 23:16linaw sa ating pagiging iglesya yung
- 23:20kahalagahan nung pagpapanauli yung ating
- 23:23ah pagkakaisa o yung pagsa ah pag
- 23:27pagsasama-samang muli ng mga scattered.
- 23:30Bakit may mahalaga? Bakit mahalaga yung
- 23:32scattered communities? Kasi minsan ba
- 23:35because of the persecution during the
- 23:37time may or because of the killings yan
- 23:40dahil nga hinaharap ng reformers yung
- 23:43ano yung um yung um parang yung
- 23:46condemnation ng mga non-reformers no. So
- 23:51kaya reunification of scattered faith
- 23:54communities, support for oppressed
- 23:57churches and liberation from false
- 24:00teachings. Kasi minsan false teachings
- 24:03din kasi kapagka ito'y nagpapakita
- 24:05lamang ng individualistic idea. Kasi
- 24:07kita natin sa pag-aaral natin no na very
- 24:10communal yung idea ni John Calvin. Hindi
- 24:13po siya ah exclusivist na parang para
- 24:17lamang sa iilan 'di ba? And therefore in
- 24:20the holistic or kingdom oriented mission
- 24:24the goal is that all of life
- 24:28the goal is that all of life political
- 24:32economic social cultural educational be
- 24:36brought under the lordship of Christ so
- 24:38that God is glorified in every spear.
- 24:41Kaya po sinasabi nating holistic hindi
- 24:43lamang po sa usapin ng pananampalataya
- 24:45na parang ang pananampalataya tungkol
- 24:47lang sa kaluluwa. Hindi po. Because
- 24:49God's salvation is not only the
- 24:51salvation of the soul. God's salvation
- 24:54includes the whole aspect of our of our
- 24:58life. Okay po. So kaya naman po ah doon
- 25:02sa um crineate ni John Calvin in the
- 25:06Geneva Academy, Calvin's uh disciplined
- 25:10the church order and emphasize emphasis
- 25:13on uh education
- 25:15that embodies the vision of uh the idea
- 25:20the vision na uh the church forms people
- 25:24whose lives manifest God's glory in
- 25:27every domain of their life.
- 25:30ba napakahalaga. Kaya naman dito ay umen
- 25:34Calvin's
- 25:36missional ah
- 25:39missional theology carries the idea of
- 25:43the missional eclesiology that is not
- 25:46abstract. Ibig sabihin hindi po yung
- 25:49parang ah lutang. Okay? Yung missional
- 25:52eclesiology ni John Calvin na dinadala
- 25:56rin ang ating mga simbahan ay hindi
- 25:57lutang. Kaya nga tayo rin ay
- 25:59nakikibahagi sa mission for the world.
- 26:03na tayo ay nakikibahagi para sa call for
- 26:05justice. Tayo nakikibahagi sa mga
- 26:08disaster reuction uh ministry sa jail
- 26:11ministry, sa prison ministry, sa mga
- 26:14ministry for the elderly, ministry for
- 26:17the uh women and children sexually
- 26:20abused. 'Di ba? Nagkibahagi tayo sa mga
- 26:22ministries na yan dahil po dala-dala
- 26:25natin yung missional eclesiology or the
- 26:29missional church of John Calvin's ah
- 26:32reform theology. Bakit po? Ano po bang
- 26:34ginawa ni John Calvin? Si John Calvin
- 26:36po, he helped establish the Genevan
- 26:39Academy as a training center for pastors
- 26:42and missionaries and wherein many of
- 26:45whom were sent to reform churches across
- 26:48Europe. Gayun din si John Calvin din he
- 26:51supported and directed missionary
- 26:53sending including the ill fated but
- 26:56significant German mission to Brazil a
- 26:59during the 1556 to 1557
- 27:02and also he wrote prayers for the
- 27:05conversion or for the transformation of
- 27:08all peoples and urge this uh community
- 27:11to lead all people on earth to God as
- 27:15far as they are able. So ah dalihin yung
- 27:19community kay God and also yung church
- 27:22naman ang nagdadala ng presensya ng
- 27:24Diyos sa buong community. Kaya naman po
- 27:27when we talk about the missional church
- 27:30yan the missional church in the
- 27:31institutes of religion and in
- 27:32Calvinology ay sina-sammarize sa
- 27:35pamamagitan ng tatlong ito. Una the
- 27:38visible community where the word is
- 27:40purely preached and the sacraments
- 27:42rightly administered shared communally.
- 27:46Yan. Gayon din the mother and the body
- 27:50of faith united under Christ through
- 27:53whom God calls and sanctifies God's
- 27:56people.
- 27:57ba? And also lastly, the primary agent
- 28:01of God's mission sent to proclaim the
- 28:03gospel inclusively to all nations and to
- 28:06seek the glory of God in every area of
- 28:10life. So this is the missional church na
- 28:14makikita natin nagre-reflect din ito sa
- 28:17buhay ng ating iglesya sa UCCP yan as
- 28:22reform church yan at gayon din even sa
- 28:25mga iba pang mga denomination the United
- 28:28Methodist Church the Unita Church ayan
- 28:30ah the Yemelif Church the um ah the
- 28:35Convention of Philippine Baptist
- 28:36Churches 'di ba? So nakikita yung buhay
- 28:39na ito yung uh visible community, the
- 28:43chur the missional church as the mother
- 28:44and the body of faith and also the
- 28:46primary agent of God's mission. So para
- 28:50po sa ating asynchronous class na ito,
- 28:52ini-encourage ko po kayo na maaari po
- 28:55ninyong i-comment sa video na ito dito
- 28:58po sa uploaded video na ito sa YouTube.
- 29:01Ah i-comment niyo po sa baba yung inyong
- 29:03mga reflection para sa ah sa discussion
- 29:06na ito. God bless po sa bawat isa.
