- 0:03A Miss Venezuela doesn't just make an
- 0:06impact when walking the runway or
- 0:08demonstrating physical endurance in the
- 0:10gym. A true world-class queen proves
- 0:14herself when she holds her gaze,
- 0:16masters her nerves, and answers under
- 0:18the relentless pressure of the
- 0:20microphones. Welcome to the test where
- 0:24a beautiful face is not enough. Today
- 0:28is the day of the big question. And to
- 0:46face this decisive night, I am joined
- 0:48by a woman who knows the screen, the
- 0:51criteria, and the demands of this
- 0:53pageant like no one else. Our head
- 0:56evaluator and mentor, Osmariel
- 0:58Villalobos.
- 1:04>> Good evening, Venezuela. What a thrill
- 1:07and what an honor to be on Miss
- 1:09Venezuela: The Challenge, and on such
- 1:11an imposing stage as this. For me, this
- 1:15isn't just coming home; it's reliving
- 1:17firsthand every heartbeat, the nerves,
- 1:20and the adrenaline you feel standing
- 1:22there. I was in that spot, I wore a
- 1:26sash, I had to answer under the gaze of
- 1:28an entire country, and I know perfectly
- 1:31well what is at stake in a single
- 1:33second on air. Today my role evolves. I
- 1:38am here to demand rigor, without
- 1:40forgetting the responsibility I have as
- 1:42an evaluator of each of the candidates.
- 1:46Today we are not here to listen to
- 1:48memorized speeches or rehearsed answers
- 1:51. The current Miss Venezuela and the
- 1:54international platform demand
- 1:56authenticity, character, mental agility
- 1:58, firm oratory, and real content. Today
- 2:03we are going to discover who has the
- 2:06composure to lead with elegance under
- 2:08pressure and who, unfortunately,
- 2:10freezes up. Aha. From the north to the
- 2:32south, from the east to the west.
- 2:35>> We are the ones from my Venezuela. Pure
- 2:39as the llanera soul. We are from here,
- 2:43from here, from this riverbank. We are
- 2:47the ones from my Venezuela. We are the
- 2:55ones from my Venezuela. Oh, Venezuela,
- 2:59my Venezuela.
- 3:02>> We are the ones from my Venezuela. The
- 3:14legacy panel, a panel made up of the
- 3:16faces of former queens from every
- 3:19decade. Behind each photograph of every
- 3:22one of these women, a crucial question
- 3:25is hidden. Current events, personal
- 3:28judgment, crisis management, and
- 3:30general knowledge. Each candidate will
- 3:33have the opportunity to choose the
- 3:35queen who will inspire her challenge
- 3:37and must answer in just 40 seconds.
- 3:41After hearing them all, we will select
- 3:43only the three best answers of the
- 3:45night, forming our official top three.
- 3:49But the final decision does not rest
- 3:51only in our hands. Once our top three
- 3:54is selected, the final word will belong
- 3:56to the public through a poll on our
- 3:59YouTube channel. You at home will vote
- 4:02to decide which of those three
- 4:04finalists will be the winner of the
- 4:06oratory challenge. Prepare your minds,
- 4:09master your hearts, and show what you
- 4:12are made of. Don't turn away from your
- 4:15screens; when we return, the
- 4:17face-to-face with the big question
- 4:18begins. We'll be right back. And I'm
- 4:55here with two of our candidates, in
- 4:57this case, Miss Falcón and Miss
- 4:59Yaracuy. And what are we going to do
- 5:01here? We're going to talk a little bit
- 5:03about everything we call the little
- 5:05bits of gossip behind Miss Venezuela
- 5:07that everyone at home wants to know.
- 5:09Are you ready?
- 5:10>> We're ready.
- 5:12>> Well, let's talk a little bit first
- 5:13with Miss Falcón. Miss Falcón, you
- 5:15have, let's say, I don't know if to
- 5:17call it a little problem or a nasal
- 5:19detail, where you speak a bit through
- 5:21your nose, and people have somehow
- 5:22criticized that. What do you have to
- 5:25say to that public, and are you really
- 5:26working on it? Hello, first to everyone
- 5:29who is watching and listening to us.
- 5:31The truth is, yes, I have—I wouldn't
- 5:34call it a problem because I feel that a
- 5:37problem is something more negative. I
- 5:39think it's something that characterizes
- 5:41me, and it's something I'm working on
- 5:43quite a bit. I'm putting all my effort
- 5:46into it, but I want to note that it's
- 5:48not to please the public or others, but
- 5:50it's a personal task I've been doing
- 5:51for years. In fact, the people who have
- 5:56known me all my life know how much I've
- 5:58advanced and improved on this issue for
- 6:01a very long time, doing many exercises,
- 6:04both in public speaking, like
- 6:06practicing here with the cork,
- 6:08breathing, and well, I think you've
- 6:10noticed it too.
- 6:12>> I have noticed, but look, you know that
- 6:14today—you all know that today is a
- 6:15very special challenge that has
- 6:17something to do with public speaking.
- 6:18Do you think that could affect you when
- 6:20it's time to speak? Are you going to
- 6:21control it? Or are you going to say, "
- 6:22Look, whatever comes out"?
- 6:24>> I really believe that if I'm working on
- 6:26it, it will go well, God willing. We
- 6:29keep working. I also think that sending
- 6:31or conveying a message doesn't just
- 6:33depend on how it sounds, but on the
- 6:35content of the message. And that's
- 6:38where many people get a little, I mean,
- 6:40stuck, because they focus too much on
- 6:43the sound and not really on what the
- 6:45person is trying to send and say. And I
- 6:48also wanted to say that I believe
- 6:50criticisms have to be constructive. I
- 6:54invite people, everyone watching
- 6:56YouTube, our channel, that every time
- 6:58you are going to make a critique of any
- 7:00Miss, it should be constructive,
- 7:01because we use them to improve and
- 7:03always respecting others.
- 7:06>> That's right. Look, and speaking of
- 7:08constructive criticism, I've also seen
- 7:10on social media that there's a lot of
- 7:12criticism, let's say pro and con
- 7:14regarding Miss Yaracuy, because you're
- 7:16related to Miss Venezuela, our current
- 7:18Miss Universe Venezuela, and some
- 7:20people even say that's the only reason
- 7:22you're here. Do you think that's true?
- 7:25It’s not true. Don't be surprised,
- 7:27but I know you've read it.
- 7:28>> I have read it. I have read it. But I'm
- 7:30going to tell you something. I am here
- 7:32on my own merit. I came here to create
- 7:35my own story and also a little secret,
- 7:37since we're gossiping here. Actually, I
- 7:40didn't tell Clara that I had applied.
- 7:42She kept telling me, "Apply, apply, you
- 7:44have everything, it’s your dream.""
- 7:47We’ve dreamed of this since we were
- 7:48little, it’s your moment." And I was
- 7:51doubting it, then the day before, I saw
- 7:53a story saying "last day to apply," and
- 7:55I didn't tell anyone; I just sent it in
- 7:58, and in fact, the first video I
- 7:59recorded was the one I sent. I said,
- 8:02I’m just going to be myself, and I
- 8:04know if I get in, it’s meant for me,
- 8:06and if I don't, well, it’s not for me
- 8:08, and no one finds out—not my mom,
- 8:09not my sister, not even Clara. And
- 8:12actually, a video went viral of Clara
- 8:14talking to Harry, with Harry. Harry,
- 8:17>> with Harry. Exactly. Saying a Vegas
- 8:19cousin had applied, and that is Clara's
- 8:21real reaction. Clara didn't know. So, I
- 8:23am here because I am a hard-working
- 8:25woman and because I am meant to be here
- 8:27.
- 8:27>> That's right. Look, but I did see that
- 8:30at the last gala where Clara was with
- 8:32us at the opening, did she come up to
- 8:34give you any tips or just to say hello?
- 8:37Because if she gave you some tips, we
- 8:39could say you do have a slight
- 8:40advantage with the queen.
- 8:41>> Well, of course I've asked her for tips
- 8:43, and not just Clara, but my mom who
- 8:45was a beauty queen, my grandmother who
- 8:48was a queen, my aunt; I come from a
- 8:50family of queens, so well, I have that
- 8:52privilege, and of course, I've asked
- 8:54all of them for tips, advice, and
- 8:56little details here and there, and what
- 8:58she told me that day was: "Be yourself.
- 9:00" And I said, wait. Look, Falcon, you
- 9:03saw when Clara approached your teammate
- 9:05, do you think that could be an
- 9:07advantage or not?
- 9:09>> First, I saw that video she's talking
- 9:11about when Harry was speaking with
- 9:13Clara, and I thought it was so
- 9:15beautiful that the whole family is
- 9:16truly here at Miss Venezuela; I mean,
- 9:18it's an opportunity not everyone has.
- 9:22And regarding it being an advantage,
- 9:23well
- 9:23>> you're going to tell me the truth,
- 9:24don't answer like a pageant queen,
- 9:26>> right? Sure.
- 9:27>> What is the truth? I think it could be
- 9:30a bit of an advantage for her, but
- 9:32because it's it's very close, you know?
- 9:35And like
- 9:36>> we cut it there. Yes, it is effectively
- 9:38an advantage. I I'm going to say
- 9:40something, I have something to say.
- 9:41>> Uh-huh. Quickly,
- 9:42>> many say it's an advantage, but doing a
- 9:44back-to-back is one of the hardest
- 9:46things.
- 9:46>> It's true. A back-to-back, a family
- 9:48back-to-back. Look, quickly here before
- 9:50we cut, before we cut, do you speak
- 9:51English or not? Because that's another
- 9:53that's another of the big questions
- 9:54from the audience. Do you speak English
- 9:55?
- 9:55>> Yes, I do. I speak English. Do you
- 9:57speak English?
- 9:58>> Yes, I can speak Englishly.
- 10:00>> Oh, my God. Well, with these uh
- 10:02candidates who speak any language
- 10:04they're given, we're going to a
- 10:06commercial break and we'll be right
- 10:08back.
- 10:08>> We're going to What? We're going to say
- 10:10one thing here because I want to finish
- 10:12my idea.
- 10:13>> We don't want to stop No,
- 10:15>> Gabi. The thing is, it's also worth
- 10:17noting that she's a very good friend,
- 10:19and those tips they tell her, she
- 10:20passes them on to us too. So that that
- 10:23is important too because we are all a
- 10:25family and that must be noted.
- 10:27>> Those tips, I'll tell you, will last
- 10:29until the special sash gala because
- 10:31once those sashes come in, this
- 10:32friendship, look, it ends. We're going
- 10:34to a break and we'll be right back. S
- 11:13The tension in the studio is leveling
- 11:16up because from this moment on, stage
- 11:18presence takes absolute control of the
- 11:21competition. To evaluate this challenge
- 11:25, we aren't alone; we are joined by a
- 11:27key specialist to measure what the
- 11:28voice doesn't say, the expert in body
- 11:30language, Víctor Canelo.
- 11:33>> Hello, Venezuela. Good evening, I'm
- 11:35Víctor Canelo, body language expert
- 11:36and coach for the Miss Venezuela
- 11:38organization. And on this occasion, I
- 11:40will evaluate that body language on
- 11:42stage, to see if that oratory is linked
- 11:45to good posture, a good facial
- 11:46expression, and, of course, an
- 11:48authentic expression, which is what the
- 11:50Miss Venezuela organization is looking
- 11:53for. With this clinical gaze, we begin
- 11:57the evaluation of our first group, made
- 12:00up of the first eight candidates from
- 12:03Amazonas to Cojedes. And we welcome
- 12:06Miss Amazonas Irene Sez Amazonas. In
- 12:25the crisis management and leadership
- 12:28category, your question is as follows:
- 12:31how do you explain the true meaning of
- 12:34success to a little girl in a world
- 12:36obsessed with social media approval and
- 12:39followers? time.
- 12:44>> The approval that we as girls and young
- 12:47people should have is to believe in
- 12:49ourselves, to be prepared, uh, think
- 12:52about the future and always keep in
- 12:55mind what we want to do. Not to think
- 12:59about others, they don't have an
- 13:01opinion about us, and to continue
- 13:03giving our best to be well personally
- 13:06and professionally. Thank you. Very
- 13:11good answer, Amazonas. I hope you can
- 13:13breathe now. As long as you are clear
- 13:17about what you want to convey, your
- 13:19answer will be on point. And now let's
- 13:22go to the evaluation.
- 13:25>> Ready. Well, Amazonas, a pleasure to
- 13:27see you here, and the first thing I
- 13:29have to tell you is that I am very
- 13:31proud to see you take on this challenge
- 13:32because it is not easy to stand before
- 13:34so many people. The only thing I would
- 13:37recommend is that you breathe.
- 13:39Breathing is what will help you feel
- 13:42more secure, and don't be afraid to
- 13:45take pauses because those, uh, those
- 13:47are filler words that try to cover up
- 13:50those insecurities. So I think that
- 13:53pauses can sometimes be a very good
- 13:55help. Well, and a piece of advice for
- 14:00Amazonas from me would be that when the
- 14:02host or presenter is reading the
- 14:04question, you immediately start
- 14:06crafting in your head a short, precise
- 14:09answer with a, you know, powerful
- 14:11ending. And that way, the whole stage
- 14:16will get up and applaud you.
- 14:17>> What did you think of those tips?
- 14:19>> Oh, excellent to take into account.
- 14:21Thank you.
- 14:22>> That's right. That's what our
- 14:23evaluators are here for tonight. Now
- 14:26let's go with the next candidate, Miss
- 14:28Anzoátegui
- 14:36>> and you choose our queen
- 14:40>> Berusca Ramírez.
- 14:47>> The question is number 19. in the
- 14:50politics, economy, and current events
- 14:52category. Your question, Anzoátegui,
- 14:56is the following. If you had the
- 14:59opportunity to speak alone for 3
- 15:01minutes with the most powerful leader
- 15:03in the world, what topic would you talk
- 15:05about and what would you demand of them
- 15:07? time.
- 15:10>> Well, it would mainly be the point of
- 15:13being able to increase more peace and
- 15:17unity among all countries. I think it
- 15:20is something very important and
- 15:22something that I think has been lost
- 15:24over the years, for everyone to be
- 15:26united and for everyone to fight for
- 15:28peace. Incredible answer. I wish I
- 15:32could evaluate you, and our evaluators
- 15:34will say. Were you calm? How did you
- 15:37feel? a little nervous, I will admit it
- 15:39.
- 15:40>> Okay, nerves are always part of this
- 15:42situation. Let's hear from our
- 15:44evaluators. Well, between being and
- 15:47appearing, I always say that on very
- 15:48specific occasions it is more important
- 15:50that you appear to be, even if you are
- 15:51not. Obviously, in a moment like this
- 15:54you will feel nervous, but that is when
- 15:56I recommend using a Duchenne smile.
- 15:58There are 19 types of smiles and only
- 16:00one is linked to a genuine smile, which
- 16:02is literally raising your cheekbones a
- 16:04bit and squinting your eyes. With that,
- 16:07you will project much more confidence
- 16:08in front of the cameras.
- 16:09>> God, I think I have that smile, Victor.
- 16:11>> Yes, yes, yes,
- 16:12>> because my eyes disappear. For me,
- 16:15projection. Project. Don't shout, but
- 16:20do project your voice. Put strength
- 16:23into it, put intention into it, so that
- 16:25those who don't want to listen will
- 16:27hear you. That is my advice.
- 16:29>> Thank you. How was it? What did you
- 16:31think of those tips?
- 16:32>> Well, I liked them. I will put them
- 16:34into practice.
- 16:35>> Of course. And we will see Anzoategui
- 16:37more projected and confident. Now it is
- 16:40the turn of another candidate, Miss
- 16:42Apure. And you choose which queen.
- 16:52Barbara Palacios.
- 16:54>> Barbara Palacios, who is number 20.
- 16:59Apure, the category is politics,
- 17:02economy, and current events. Your
- 17:04question is the following. Do you think
- 17:08social media and digital outlets are
- 17:10uniting humanity or are they destroying
- 17:13our interpersonal relationships? Time.
- 17:18>> I think that today social media can be
- 17:20a double-edged sword. They can both
- 17:23unite, but they can also cause many
- 17:26problems. I think we should be focusing
- 17:29right now, above all, on the youth and
- 17:31how, let's say, artificial intelligence
- 17:33is affecting children. We should focus
- 17:36on how we can use artificial
- 17:39intelligence and social media to help
- 17:42the youth today so that they grow up
- 17:45having the same values and education
- 17:48that is necessary so they can be adults
- 17:51who can do many things in the long term
- 17:54and lead normal lives without, uh,
- 18:00>> awareness. Of course. How did you feel?
- 18:03I felt good, but I ran out of time. Uh,
- 18:06there were so many things I wanted to
- 18:08expand on.
- 18:09>> Well, let's hear right now what our
- 18:11evaluators have to say to you.
- 18:14>> Well, it is absolutely normal that in
- 18:16these times one might always extend the
- 18:18answer a bit, but I think it is the
- 18:19importance of practicing being a bit
- 18:21more concise so that these types of
- 18:22situations don't happen. However, in
- 18:26terms of your gestures, I think you did
- 18:27quite well, you looked quite confident,
- 18:29so, well, congratulations. Uh, what I
- 18:32advise you to do is to take these tips
- 18:35that will work for you, and we will see
- 18:37your evaluation and evolution for the
- 18:39final night. Does that sound good to
- 18:41you?
- 18:41>> It will be that way, Diana. Thank you.
- 18:43Thank you so much to
- 18:44>> It is now Aragua's turn.
- 18:55>> Ready. Your queen is Alicia Machado
- 19:00>> and she has number question 22. Aragua.
- 19:09You got the category identity, personal
- 19:12brand, and purpose? And the question is
- 19:15as follows. Many beautiful and
- 19:18intelligent women are competing here
- 19:21today. What real and unpracticed
- 19:25attribute differentiates you from the
- 19:28other 24 contestants? Time.
- 19:31>> Thank you very much for your question.
- 19:33Well, here we each have our essence and
- 19:36our authenticity. So, without a doubt,
- 19:39each one of us has something that
- 19:41characterizes us. If I had to say
- 19:44something about myself, I feel I
- 19:47consider myself a very extroverted and
- 19:49very fun and quite real person, who
- 19:54likes to always stick to the truth. Uh,
- 19:58it can be something that is a
- 20:00double-edged sword, but without a doubt
- 20:02, I cannot only speak about myself.
- 20:05Here we all have an essence that
- 20:07characterizes us.
- 20:08>> Very nice, very good answer, but I am
- 20:10not the one who is going to evaluate
- 20:12you today. Let's hear what our
- 20:15evaluators have to say.
- 20:17>> Well, Aragua, uh I think the answer was
- 20:20quite good. However, something I always
- 20:22recommend, and this is associated more
- 20:24with helping words flow better, is the
- 20:26use of hands. When we forget something,
- 20:29that is when we go like, what is it
- 20:30called? And we start moving our hands
- 20:32more. That helps us to be able to
- 20:34connect better with our vocabulary. So,
- 20:37try to be a little more conscious from
- 20:38the start, uh, in gesturing more with
- 20:40your hands so that the speech can
- 20:42perhaps come out in a more fluid way.
- 20:45>> Aragua. My note. There are questions
- 20:47that are key in any beauty pageant. One
- 20:51of those questions is this one. Have it
- 20:55written down, memorized, internalized,
- 20:57learned, studied, with your touch, of
- 20:59course, of naturalness, which is what
- 21:01we look for here, that you be yourself,
- 21:03that you express yourself, that you be
- 21:06you, but there are things you should
- 21:07already have here and that is one of
- 21:09those questions. Otherwise, I loved it.
- 21:14>> Very good points. I am taking those
- 21:16tips for myself as well. Imagine how
- 21:19you feel, you feel much better now, you
- 21:21already breathed. See that the panel of
- 21:24evaluators is not going to say anything
- 21:26, they are not going to eat you. What
- 21:29might be a bit spicy for our viewers at
- 21:31home, but how did you feel?
- 21:33>> No, I feel good. I'm taking this as
- 21:36practice. All of this is important. I
- 21:39love it. This will serve us in the
- 21:41future.
- 21:42>> That's right. Let me tell you something
- 21:44. You and your fellow contestants also
- 21:46have to choose the best one tonight. I
- 21:50think that with that answer you've got
- 21:52several points. accumulated there.
- 21:55Don't go away because the candidate
- 21:57from Barinas state is coming up right
- 21:59now. Ready. Let's choose your queen.
- 22:09Marena Venc. Marena Venc. What is
- 22:16question number nine? Okay. In the
- 22:19category of ethics, technology, and
- 22:21moral dilemmas. That is your question.
- 22:25>> Okay.
- 22:26>> In the face of the global climate
- 22:29emergency, is it fair to demand that
- 22:31developing countries curb their
- 22:33economic growth to meet international
- 22:36ecological goals? Time.
- 22:40>> Well, I certainly consider that every
- 22:42country is different. I feel they
- 22:45shouldn't change each other's
- 22:47perspective, and I feel that we as
- 22:49Venezuelans, our humility, our love,
- 22:51and our power for rebirth uniquely
- 22:53characterize us all.
- 22:57>> Thank you very much. Very concise, very
- 22:59to the point. Let's hear from our
- 23:01evaluators.
- 23:02>> Barinas, look, I would only recommend
- 23:04that you expand your body language a
- 23:07bit more. If we observe your answer,
- 23:10you'll see it later in the recording,
- 23:11you will notice that you have what's
- 23:13known as kyphosis, which is the
- 23:15tendency to slouch. However, if you
- 23:18expand your body language, that is when
- 23:20you will begin to convey that security
- 23:22and elegance, which is something very
- 23:23important in beauty pageants.
- 23:26>> No, get ready everyone because I'm
- 23:27going for it. Wow, I liked that, I
- 23:29liked that. I also think that the one
- 23:32coming for it is our next candidate,
- 23:34Miss Bolivar. Welcome. Ready?
- 23:43>> Yes.
- 23:44>> Let's go with your queen who is
- 23:47>> Estefania Fernandez.
- 23:49>> Our back-to-back has the number six. It
- 23:55falls under the category of ethics,
- 23:57technology, and moral dilemmas. And
- 23:59this is your question. Artificial
- 24:02intelligence is displacing millions of
- 24:04jobs around the world. Should we curb
- 24:07technological advancement to protect
- 24:09the human economy? Time.
- 24:13>> I consider it fundamental to promote
- 24:14education regarding technology, not
- 24:16curb it, because technology,
- 24:18undoubtedly, is something that has
- 24:20supported us a lot, something that has
- 24:22been an advancement and a support for
- 24:24us as a society. However, we must not
- 24:27depend 100%on it. That is why I believe
- 24:30what we must do is educate children and
- 24:34young people at home, not only to rely
- 24:37on this, but to go beyond it. Thank you
- 24:40. Very good answer. Let's hear what our
- 24:44evaluators have to say.
- 24:46>> Well, Bolívar, the recommendation I
- 24:48would give you is that when you gesture
- 24:51, try to expand your hands more,
- 24:52obviously within a range you consider
- 24:54appropriate. Why? Because the more you
- 24:58expand your body language, that is when
- 24:59people will begin to perceive you as
- 25:01more confident. And that is when
- 25:05research says, "Just as our mind can
- 25:07sometimes feel insecurity, adopting an
- 25:10expansive body language will make you
- 25:12feel much more confident as the seconds
- 25:15pass."
- 25:18>> Bolívar, I loved it. Very sincere. Yes
- 25:22,
- 25:23>> your answer was very real. Um, a smile
- 25:27always on your lips, I liked that a lot
- 25:29.
- 25:31>> Wow, how did you feel? I think this has
- 25:34been one of those that our panel has
- 25:36praised the most. They were very
- 25:38satisfied. How did you feel about your
- 25:40answer? I really feel very grateful and
- 25:43I believe that whenever we are going to
- 25:45give an answer, we should speak from
- 25:47the heart and from sincerity, from
- 25:49tranquility, always with God leading
- 25:51the way. Always before going on stage
- 25:53or to an event, I say, "God, may You be
- 25:54the one to place the words in my mouth.
- 25:56" And well, this is the result of that.
- 25:58That is how it is. Thanks to our dear
- 26:01God, and who must also be praying a lot
- 26:03back there and is the next one to go,
- 26:05Miss Carabobo. Aha. Emiliana, how do
- 26:10you feel? Very excited to hear your
- 26:12question. Ready, choose who your queen
- 26:15will be.
- 26:17>> Ileana Márquez.
- 26:20>> And she has question number 25. In the
- 26:25category of identity, personal brand,
- 26:28and purpose. This is your question. At
- 26:32the end of your reign, if people forget
- 26:34your name and your face, what one
- 26:37lesson or mark would you like them to
- 26:39remember from your time with the crown?
- 26:42Time.
- 26:44>> I think it's a wonderful question
- 26:46because it also relates to one of the
- 26:47phrases that fascinates me most, which
- 26:49says, "If the whole world was blind,
- 26:51how many people could you impress?" And
- 26:55that means, how many people could you
- 26:57surprise, in how many people could you
- 26:59leave a legacy despite your beauty if
- 27:01they were blind. And I would love for
- 27:05this world to be more inclusive,
- 27:07especially for people with mental and
- 27:09motor disabilities, which is precisely
- 27:11the project I would love to work on
- 27:13hand-in-hand with Miss Venezuela.
- 27:17>> Beauty with a purpose. What a great
- 27:20answer. Let’s hear from our panel of
- 27:22judges at this time.
- 27:24>> Well, Carabobo, I loved your answer. I
- 27:26truly think you developed it very, very
- 27:28well, and something you have in your
- 27:30favor is that if you look at
- 27:31Carabobo’s profile, it’s very easy
- 27:33for her to do the Chén smile because
- 27:34her eyes are always squinted. So, I
- 27:36think in terms of your body language,
- 27:38it was really, really good, and I also
- 27:40think the answer was very, very good.
- 27:43>> I believe I support all the advice and
- 27:45comments our panel of evaluators gave
- 27:47you. How did you feel? I felt happy. A
- 27:50thousand thanks for all your comments.
- 27:52Feedback is always very welcome. I
- 27:55believe we are here to learn and to
- 27:57keep improving each time, so we can
- 27:59represent Venezuela in the best way
- 28:01wherever we go, regardless of whether
- 28:03we have a crown or not.
- 28:05>> What an answer. This woman, my God, has
- 28:08quite a lot to show us in terms of her
- 28:10answers. Now it is your companion
- 28:14Niscoes 'turn. Are you ready? I am
- 28:22ready. Let’s choose your queen, then.
- 28:26What is it?
- 28:27>> My queen is Diana Carolina Silva,
- 28:30>> Venezuela. Diana Silva. And Diana Silva
- 28:36has question number three.
- 28:40>> Perfect. It falls into the category of
- 28:43leadership, equality, and social change
- 28:45. And this is your question. Social
- 28:48media has democratized public voice,
- 28:51but it has also increased mass
- 28:53harassment. Who would you hold
- 28:57responsible, and how should it be
- 28:58stopped? I love this question because I
- 29:03have seen many debates on social media
- 29:06where people boast about their right to
- 29:08freedom of speech, and it is extremely
- 29:10important that when we talk about
- 29:12rights, rights also have duties,
- 29:14responsibilities, and legal limits.
- 29:17What is the legal limit of the right to
- 29:20freedom of speech? Defamation, slander,
- 29:23harassment. Now, who is responsible for
- 29:26these actions? The same person who,
- 29:28with their own voice, is promoting
- 29:31these, which can fall into the category
- 29:33of hate speech. However, digital media
- 29:37platforms and the legislative body of
- 29:39each country are also responsible.
- 29:42Thank you very much. Wow, I was stunned
- 29:45because I don't think we have heard an
- 29:48answer of this caliber for all those
- 29:50people who have dedicated themselves to
- 29:53, as you said, generating hate speech.
- 29:56What does our panel of evaluators have
- 29:58to say? Well, Cojedes did something
- 30:01very particular and very positive,
- 30:03which is that this is a quite serious
- 30:05and delicate question, and. Sometimes,
- 30:08people always try to smile because they
- 30:10believe smiles are always appropriate,
- 30:12but when discussing very delicate
- 30:14topics like this one, you have to have,
- 30:16uh, or try to have a much more serious
- 30:18demeanor, and I think Cojedes did it
- 30:20perfectly.
- 30:21>> I loved it. I loved Cojedes. Uh, now
- 30:25then, now then, now then.
- 30:28>> You said that many times.
- 30:29>> So, pause, it’s fine, and keep going.
- 30:36Uh, elaborate well. Slow it down a bit
- 30:40because it becomes very repetitive.
- 30:42>> We say goodbye to you. We say goodbye
- 30:45to this first group of contestants, and
- 30:47I want to hear a little from our panel
- 30:50of judges about how they felt seeing
- 30:52this first group. What characterizes
- 30:55what our contestants will need to
- 30:58improve for that final night answer?
- 31:01>> Well, I think in these cases,
- 31:03self-awareness is important. There are
- 31:05times when we make many gestures or
- 31:07expressions we aren't aware of, like
- 31:09suddenly, uh, oscillatory movements,
- 31:12which are these wobbles; the sudden "uh
- 31:14,""um," or repeating "for now, for now,
- 31:16for now." But I think this platform or
- 31:19this type of challenge is very
- 31:20important heading into the final night
- 31:21of Miss Venezuela, so they can keep
- 31:23practicing.
- 31:24>> I love it for that; I think it’s
- 31:26fundamental, Víctor. In general terms,
- 31:29I loved it. I saw girls who were quite
- 31:32poised, with quite a lot of clarity.
- 31:34with quite a lot of empathy, with
- 31:37knowledge,
- 31:38>> which is the most important thing,
- 31:39>> which is the most important thing,
- 31:40because to improvise you have to have
- 31:42knowledge. So, in general terms,
- 31:45>> good.
- 31:45>> Yes, yes, right? Well, a proud teacher.
- 31:47>> 10 out of 10. Remember that at the end
- 31:51of the night, we will choose only the
- 31:53three best to form the top three, but
- 31:56the final decision will be yours at
- 31:58home through our interactive poll.
- 32:02Don't move from the Venevisión signal.
- 32:04Upon our return, the second group of
- 32:06contestants jumps into the arena of
- 32:09thought. We'll be right back with more
- 32:11of Miss Venezuela, the challenge. Hi,
- 32:36I'm Ángel Venegas. On this occasion,
- 32:38uh, I had to dress eight contestants in
- 32:41Miss cocktail attire, very much in the
- 32:44Ángel Venegas style, showing a very
- 32:46versatile, dynamic collection, made for
- 32:49the Venezuelan woman, the Latin
- 32:51American woman, and of course the Miss
- 32:54woman, full of many volumes, colors,
- 32:57and lights so they would shine on stage
- 32:59. Officially, the first group has
- 33:18passed the final question test, girls.
- 33:22Let's find out a little bit here how it
- 33:23went for her. I heard, Amazonas, that
- 33:26when you came off stage you weren't
- 33:28very happy with your answer. Why?
- 33:31>> Well, I feel like I could have done
- 33:33better, but I'm not going to be hard on
- 33:34myself. What happened today does not
- 33:36define me. I haven't had a good day,
- 33:38but I know I'll do better as the
- 33:39challenges go by.
- 33:40>> That's right. In your case, Anzoátegui
- 33:42, if there was something you could
- 33:43change about your answer, what would it
- 33:45be?
- 33:45>> I think I would have smiled more to
- 33:47look more confident.
- 33:49>> I always tell her to smile, but she
- 33:50doesn't listen to me. Let's go here
- 33:51with Miss Aragua, Miss Aragua has
- 33:53already answered. Something like she
- 33:55was very friendly, very outgoing, you
- 33:56said something like that in your answer
- 33:58, but I've heard some gossip out there
- 34:00that you're not as friendly as you say,
- 34:01"Is it true or is it not true? Are you
- 34:03selling yourself one way when you
- 34:05aren't that way?"
- 34:06>> No, that is totally false. The thing is
- 34:08, I have a little detail. I have a
- 34:09sourpuss face, I mean, I'm quite
- 34:11serious, but when they get to know me,
- 34:13everyone here knows, and you know it,
- 34:16you know it, you know perfectly well
- 34:18that I am quite outgoing and fun.
- 34:20>> Yes, it's true. She is not a sourpuss.
- 34:22Miss Apure, I see you as very serious
- 34:23and you are very famous because
- 34:25supposedly you have good oratory skills
- 34:26. Are you happy with what you answered?
- 34:29>> I feel like I could have been much more
- 34:31concise because I ran out of time at
- 34:33the end, and sometimes less is more.
- 34:35>> Do you think maybe you could have
- 34:36answered better if it were in English,
- 34:38since you normally function in English?
- 34:41Yes, but it's something I'm working on
- 34:43because at one point in the answer I
- 34:45started thinking in English, so I was
- 34:47trying to translate, but that is
- 34:49>> But here we don't speak English, here
- 34:51we speak Spanish. You speak Spanish to
- 34:52me. Let's go with Miss Bolívar. Miss
- 34:55Bolívar, how did you feel with this
- 34:57very important question?
- 34:58>> Well, earlier I felt a little nervous
- 35:00because I didn't know what dynamic we
- 35:01were going to do. However, when I saw
- 35:03it was the legacy panel, which they had
- 35:05already done the previous year, I felt
- 35:07calm because I knew they were simple
- 35:08questions. And did you like how you
- 35:11answered?
- 35:12>> Yes,
- 35:12>> yes. You don't sound very sure, Barinas
- 35:14, in your case, what would you have
- 35:16preferred, maybe getting into a room
- 35:18with a bunch of cockroaches or coming
- 35:19to an oratory test.
- 35:20>> No, coming to the oratory test, Ca.
- 35:22>> Oh, for sure,
- 35:23>> most definitely.
- 35:24>> You answered well.
- 35:26>> Yes, I liked it, only I have to learn
- 35:28to manage my nerves a bit more and
- 35:29breathe a lot, since that helps me stay
- 35:31calmer when answering a question, but I
- 35:33know that this serves as a learning
- 35:34experience for each one of us.
- 35:36>> That is so. Very good, I like how you
- 35:38all are answering. Now we’re going
- 35:39for two that I’m a little afraid of,
- 35:40and I’m going to leave her for last
- 35:42because she never gives 30-second
- 35:43answers, but rather 30-minute ones.
- 35:44Let's talk with Miss Cojedes who
- 35:47answered very well, right? But you told
- 35:49me your knees were shaking when you
- 35:51were standing there.
- 35:52>> That was confidential information,
- 35:54Brian. But of course, it’s not easy
- 35:56to stand on this stage in front of so
- 35:58many people. I feel proud to have
- 35:59passed the challenge and to have done
- 36:01it to my full satisfaction, but my
- 36:03knees did shake a bit.
- 36:04>> Are they shaking right now,
- 36:05>> no? Right now,
- 36:06>> for sure. And you also repeated a
- 36:08phrase a lot. What happened there?
- 36:10>> Of course, because with the nerves
- 36:12themselves, I forgot the giant list of
- 36:13connectors like "in the same way,""on
- 36:15the other hand,""in contrast,""by
- 36:17virtue of." So, I kept repeating, "Now
- 36:18then,""
- 36:19>> now then" and "now then," Carabobo. I
- 36:21am
- 36:21>> going to polish myself. "
- 36:22>> That is so. It’ll be fine, Carabobo.
- 36:24I want to ask you if they put you in a
- 36:27room to talk to your ex or come answer
- 36:29this question, which would you have
- 36:31chosen?
- 36:32>> 100%I prefer to answer my question once
- 36:35again. I feel very happy, and not
- 36:37because I ended things badly with my ex
- 36:39; thank God I’ve had a good
- 36:40relationship, and I think I still have
- 36:41a good relationship with the people
- 36:43I’ve been with because there’s a
- 36:44reason I was with those people. They
- 36:47are people of values whom I love, and I
- 36:49still consider that they are...
- 36:52>> The girl froze, the girl froze on me
- 36:53and we are going to cut her off. Look,
- 36:54before we go, I just want...
- 36:56>> I’m going to say, I’m going to say
- 36:57one thing. Uh-huh.
- 36:57>> Tell me.
- 36:58>> Because you’re teasing me with that,
- 37:00and they didn’t have to stop the time
- 37:01on my answer, so that’s something
- 37:02we’re already improving.
- 37:04>> We’re super cool now. Real quick,
- 37:06since you’re talking about getting
- 37:07along with people, I want each one to
- 37:09answer me quickly: who do you get along
- 37:11with best, with which state? Cojedes,
- 37:12who do you get along with best? With
- 37:14everyone,
- 37:14>> no, one...
- 37:16>> I can say Apure.
- 37:17>> Apure.
- 37:19>> Mérida.
- 37:20>> Mérida.
- 37:21>> Uh, La Guaira,
- 37:22>> La Guaira.
- 37:23>> La Guaira,
- 37:24>> La Guaira.
- 37:26>> Capital District.
- 37:27>> Capital District.
- 37:28>> Cojedes.
- 37:29>> Cojedes.
- 37:30>> Sucre.
- 37:30>> Sucre.
- 37:31>> Táchira.
- 37:32>> Táchira. There are some out there they
- 37:33didn't name. They didn't name Monagas.
- 37:35They didn't name Portuguesa. There's a
- 37:36reason for that. Well.
- 37:38>> Aha. Well, we're back with more of Miss
- 37:40Venezuela the challenge. S. We continue
- 38:18with the speaking test before the
- 38:20legacy panel. It's time to welcome the
- 38:23second group of the night, consisting
- 38:25of nine candidates from Delta Macuro to
- 38:27Miranda.
- 38:29>> The dynamic remains exactly the same.
- 38:32We are going to welcome the first one
- 38:34from this group immediately. Delta
- 38:36Macuro, Iriana Pinto, Delta Macuro.
- 38:43Let's see, very good, my dear. Choose a
- 38:46queen who inspires you. Let's see,
- 38:49>> Dayana Mendoza.
- 38:56>> With number 13, Dayana Mendoza.
- 38:59>> Okay. Delta. You got crisis management
- 39:03and leadership. And your question is,
- 39:08if a classmate breaks the rules behind
- 39:10closed doors to get an advantage in the
- 39:12competition, would you report her to
- 39:14the organization or would you keep
- 39:16silent? Well, truthfully, I would help
- 39:21her so that she herself is the one who
- 39:23talks to the organization about the
- 39:25things she did, because I don't have to
- 39:28assume responsibility for the mistakes
- 39:30that other people make. Thank you.
- 39:34>> Let's see, the judges' opinions. Well,
- 39:38look, I think she answered very well to
- 39:41a very, very uncomfortable question,
- 39:43and that is when they always have to
- 39:46try to keep their gestures on point,
- 39:48expand the chest, raise the chin, which
- 39:51are behaviors that are normally
- 39:53associated with confidence. Uh, but
- 39:57well, I congratulate you because it
- 39:58really is a quite uncomfortable
- 39:59question.
- 39:59>> I liked it too. How did you feel? What
- 40:02is the most important thing? I felt
- 40:03really good, although sometimes I get
- 40:06quite nervous. I consider that the
- 40:08important thing is to breathe, and I
- 40:09think that when I was there, the only
- 40:11thing I was doing was breathing,
- 40:12keeping calm, and well, I think that
- 40:14will always help me and anyone who is
- 40:16going to try it. Very good, Delta.
- 40:18>> Let's call Federal Dependencies.
- 40:27>> Dependencies. Very good. Choose a queen
- 40:31who inspires you. Let me see, it's
- 40:32going to come out.
- 40:36>> Number 17, Dependencies. You got
- 40:40politics, economics, and current events
- 40:43. And your question is, what is the
- 40:46most dangerous invisible threat that
- 40:49today's youth faces and how would you
- 40:51combat it? Time.
- 40:55>> Can I take the microphone? Well, I
- 41:00believe that the biggest threat that
- 41:02exists in the world today would be the
- 41:04attack on the family, how the image of
- 41:06the family and the importance it has
- 41:08even in society is deteriorating more
- 41:10and more, and how that is the matrix of
- 41:12society. The moment that ceases to be
- 41:15important, all of the youth and future
- 41:17generations are going to be, uh,
- 41:19gravely affected. What do the judges
- 41:21say to Dependencias Federales? Uh, one
- 41:25recommendation is that, uh, when
- 41:27responding, avoid touching the
- 41:28microphone. This cannot happen on the
- 41:31final night. Okay. I saw the expression
- 41:34, I saw the body language, uh, of
- 41:35Osmariel. Now then, if for some reason
- 41:38or another you are handed the
- 41:39microphone at any point, try to hold
- 41:42the microphone with one hand and use
- 41:44the other to gesture, because I saw
- 41:45that on several occasions you held the
- 41:48microphone with both hands. So, there
- 41:50you lose the opportunity to gesture.
- 41:52And if you gesture, people are going to
- 41:54perceive you with much more confidence.
- 41:56>> Yes, Dependencias, really, my advice is
- 41:58not only for you, but for all the girls
- 42:00as well. Never take the microphone away
- 42:03from any presenter, from any host. Uh,
- 42:06give yourself the opportunity to
- 42:09respond with confidence, using your
- 42:11hands, but I know it's the first time,
- 42:14I know the girls have already taken
- 42:17note, but very good, my love, very
- 42:19>> well done. We go now to Distrito
- 42:21Capital. Distrito. Hello, my love.
- 42:33Welcome. Choose a queen that you truly
- 42:36identify with, that inspires you, and
- 42:38that brings you luck.
- 42:40>> María Ángel Ruiz
- 42:47>> with number two. Okay. Distrito, your
- 42:51question is related to leadership,
- 42:53equality, and social change. If you
- 42:58could enact a global law with immediate
- 43:01effect to protect women's rights, what
- 43:03would it be and why? Time.
- 43:06>> Hello, Diana, thank you for your
- 43:08question. I believe that the law I
- 43:11would promote would be one for mental
- 43:14health, because I believe that a strong
- 43:17mind and a woman, a beauty queen who
- 43:19controls her mind, is capable of
- 43:22controlling any scenario in her life.
- 43:27And I say that every challenge we face
- 43:29and this vulnerability that we perhaps
- 43:32expose ourselves to as pageant
- 43:33contestants, having that clear and
- 43:36solid mind and those thoughts is the
- 43:38foundation of everything—of success,
- 43:40of self-esteem, and of walking through
- 43:43this process with happiness. Thank you.
- 43:47>> Let's see what the judges say to you.
- 43:50Let's hear them. Well, Distrito, uh,
- 43:52she did something very important that
- 43:54is highly recommended when gesturing,
- 43:55which is to enumerate. There are things
- 43:58that cannot be made tangible, such as,
- 44:00for example, feelings, love, respect,
- 44:02but if you enumerate these, in a way,
- 44:05it makes them become, quote-unquote, a
- 44:07little more tangible. Uh, I would
- 44:10recommend that you expand your body
- 44:12language more. You have a good height,
- 44:14and height obviously helps a lot in
- 44:16these contexts, but I did notice that
- 44:18sometimes you were slouching. Kyphosis
- 44:20is the tendency to hunch over. So, I
- 44:21think that, uh, would be my
- 44:23recommendation for you.
- 44:24>> Well, congratulations. It's a question
- 44:27we pageant girls have ready, you know,
- 44:29because
- 44:31>> always, at any moment, they are going
- 44:33to ask you about a law.
- 44:36>> I hope you felt a little bit at ease,
- 44:38just in case you had it on your list of
- 44:40possible questions they might ask you.
- 44:43Personally speaking. I really thought
- 44:45you did very well.
- 44:47>> Good luck, my dear. No, me too. To get
- 44:49to know you all. We continue with
- 44:51Falcón. Ready, Falcón? Let's see, a
- 44:59queen who inspires you, Susana, with
- 45:11number 10. Okay, Miss Falcón, your
- 45:15question is related to ethics,
- 45:17technology, and moral dilemmas. If you
- 45:22discovered that your main sponsor or
- 45:24business partner was engaging in
- 45:26unethical practices, would you resign
- 45:29your crown on principle?
- 45:32>> Thank you very much for your question.
- 45:34I think it is a very appropriate
- 45:36question for what is such an important
- 45:38topic of conversation today, and for me
- 45:40, the answer would be yes. My
- 45:43principles and my values go far beyond
- 45:45a pretty face, a pageant, or winning a
- 45:48crown. And I think this is something we
- 45:51must instill in today's youth and in
- 45:53the generation that is watching us grow
- 45:56and represent our country, and not just
- 45:58our country, but the people we want to
- 46:00be in the future. I would do it very
- 46:04tactfully because I think it is a very
- 46:06delicate subject, but yes, that would
- 46:09be my answer, and I am very proud to be
- 46:12able to stand here and say yes. Let's
- 46:15see what the judges say about this
- 46:17answer, which truly surprised me.
- 46:20>> Well, an uncomfortable question,
- 46:21without a doubt, and Falcón handled
- 46:22the structure very well. Uh, sometimes
- 46:24it is highly recommended to say" thank
- 46:26you very much for your question "
- 46:28because this somehow helps to release
- 46:30that, uh, that peak of stress we feel
- 46:32in the first few seconds. And the most
- 46:34important thing is that she took a very
- 46:36direct stance. Yes, meaning, without a
- 46:39doubt, I would take these actions. So,
- 46:42I think that is what helps the answer
- 46:44not to be, uh, or, or to have any type
- 46:46of hesitation. So, I think you did very
- 46:49, very well.
- 46:50>> I believe your, uh, gift is undoubtedly
- 46:53speaking from the heart. That is one of
- 46:57your virtues, so that is the way to go.
- 47:00>> Oh, thank you so very much. I really
- 47:04feel very proud of what I am achieving
- 47:06in Miss Venezuela, hand in hand with
- 47:08such incredible people like all of you;
- 47:10it means a lot to me to hear all your
- 47:12advice, and I feel I am achieving what
- 47:14I have set out to do. Keep it up.
- 47:18>> Thank you. We now call Miss Guárico.
- 47:29>> Miss Guárico. Hello. Let’s see, Miss
- 47:33Guárico, the pleasure is mine, my love
- 47:34, the pleasure is mine. Choose a queen
- 47:36who represents you, who inspires you. I
- 47:39am very inspired by our remembered Eva
- 47:48with number 14. Okay, Miss Guárico,
- 47:52your question is related to crisis
- 47:54management and leadership. What answer
- 48:00would you give to a judge who questions
- 48:02your intelligence, arguing that your
- 48:04preparation is only superficial? Time.
- 48:09>> Wow, quite a deep question. Undoubtedly
- 48:12, I believe that as women we must
- 48:14always trust in our capabilities and
- 48:16give the value that our intelligence
- 48:18deserves. As a telecommunications
- 48:20engineering professional, I have
- 48:22trained myself and I have strongly
- 48:24believed in my capabilities. That is
- 48:27why I can trust in them and demonstrate
- 48:29what I am made of, like any other
- 48:31Venezuelan woman. Definitely, no one
- 48:34can define you. That is so.
- 48:36>> Let’s see what the judges say. There
- 48:37is a book I recommend reading called
- 48:39Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion
- 48:41by Dr. Robert Cialdini, and there is
- 48:43one of the principles known as
- 48:44authority, and she made use of that—I
- 48:46don't know if consciously or
- 48:47unconsciously—and that is that she
- 48:49said" I "and named her career as a
- 48:50telecommunications engineer. So that
- 48:52helps people perceive that she is a
- 48:54prepared woman because, well, obviously
- 48:55this question can also be a bit of a
- 48:57banana peel, a bit uncomfortable. So,
- 48:59well, I think you handled it quite well
- 49:02. Something I also corrected her a lot
- 49:04on is that she sometimes smiles too
- 49:05much,
- 49:07>> and the consequences of smiling too
- 49:09much are sometimes that the cheekbones
- 49:11begin to tense, or the zygomaticus
- 49:13major, zygomaticus minor—which, well,
- 49:16are perhaps a bit too scientific terms
- 49:18—but that can sometimes have the
- 49:20consequence of her tongue getting tied.
- 49:24So that is when she became aware and
- 49:26used quite correct facial gestures. Do
- 49:29you feel you gave your extra mile?
- 49:32>> Yes, perhaps so. As women, we tend to
- 49:35be underestimated, but we are here.
- 49:37This type of platform gives us the
- 49:39opportunity to make ourselves known.
- 49:41>> We now call Miss La Guaira.
- 49:49>> Very elegant, La Guaira, I love your
- 49:52outfit. Let's see, let's select a miss,
- 49:56a queen who inspires you. Which one
- 49:59would you choose? Unity
- 50:08>> with number seven.
- 50:10>> Okay. Miss La Guaira, your question
- 50:13relates to ethics, technology, and
- 50:16moral dilemmas. Is it justifiable to
- 50:22limit a citizen's freedom of expression
- 50:24when their opinions generate
- 50:25polarization or violence? Well, one of
- 50:32the laws in our Venezuelan Constitution
- 50:34is free will, it is freedom of
- 50:36expression. I think yes, it definitely
- 50:40depends on the context and depends on
- 50:42what the person is saying. I think it
- 50:45should be regulated a little, however,
- 50:46we all have the right to say and opine
- 50:48what we want. Thank you.
- 50:50>> I liked it. I think you are also making
- 50:53use of your free will. Here in this
- 50:56answer. Let's see what the judges say.
- 50:57>> Let's see. La Guaira. Um, there is
- 50:59something that you have in your favor,
- 51:01which is that you are, if I am not
- 51:03mistaken, a student of
- 51:05>> international studies,
- 51:06>> international studies. So, well, I
- 51:07think it is a question that is perhaps
- 51:09very linked to your career. At the
- 51:11beginning, you used a Duchenne smile
- 51:14when listening, which for me is very,
- 51:16very important. And when you started to
- 51:19answer, you suddenly felt that this
- 51:21could be a slightly delicate question
- 51:23and that is when, consciously or
- 51:24unconsciously, you began to use a
- 51:26slightly more serious demeanor that is
- 51:27very in line with the question, because
- 51:29it is a quite delicate question and I
- 51:31think it is something I highlight from
- 51:33your answer. Yes, completely agree. I I
- 51:37consider that you are a very cheerful
- 51:39person, eh, you have many expressions
- 51:42of happiness that well, you haven't
- 51:44gotten used to showing. It is a quite
- 51:48delicate question where any type of
- 51:50answer can be used against you, right?
- 51:53Because it is very ambiguous. Exactly.
- 51:56Eh, my recommendation is that you relax
- 51:59, obviously, breathing exercises and
- 52:01that maybe, I know as I have been in
- 52:03your position, that trying to answer in
- 52:05the most concise way sometimes doesn't
- 52:08give us the result we want. Very well,
- 52:11Miss La Guaira, proceed. We now welcome
- 52:14Miss Lara. Miss Lara, hello. Are you
- 52:23ready then to choose that queen who
- 52:26inspires you? Yes. Let's see, I want to
- 52:29choose Clara Vega
- 52:35>> with number eight.
- 52:37>> Eight. Miss Lara, your question relates
- 52:41to ethics, technology, and moral
- 52:44dilemmas. If you had to choose between
- 52:50protecting individual privacy or
- 52:52national security, which would you
- 52:54prioritize and why? I consider that I
- 52:59could choose security, national
- 53:02security, because really personal
- 53:04privacy...eh, in my case, I want to say
- 53:08something very personal. I felt a bit
- 53:12embarrassed to share something private,
- 53:15but I truly realized that if we often
- 53:17make the decision to tell our story, it
- 53:20can inspire and help someone else. So,
- 53:24I consider it very important that we
- 53:27always take into account communicating,
- 53:29perhaps not our privacy to harm
- 53:31ourselves, but also to help our
- 53:32neighbor, showing ourselves as
- 53:34vulnerable because we are human. Let's
- 53:37see what the judges say.
- 53:39>> Let's see, Lara, fellow countrywoman,
- 53:40well, I am from Barquisimeto.
- 53:42>> Uh, one recommendation is that you try
- 53:44to be more aware of your posture. In
- 53:47anthropology, it has been proven that
- 53:50humans tend to perceive symmetry as
- 53:52more attractive, and your shoulders,
- 53:55your shoulder levels were a bit
- 53:57asymmetrical. These are things that
- 54:00through self-awareness I am sure you
- 54:03will keep improving, and expand your
- 54:05physicality a bit more. You are tall,
- 54:08that helps a lot in having presence,
- 54:10and I think that if you apply this,
- 54:12your stage presence on the final night
- 54:13of Miss Venezuela will undoubtedly be
- 54:15impeccable.
- 54:16>> Yes, that question really confused me.
- 54:20It was a bit weird,
- 54:21>> but well, I didn't get stuck, which was
- 54:23the important thing.
- 54:24>> Exactly. Moving forward. That's right,
- 54:26>> because many more questions will come.
- 54:29We now call Miss Mérida. Miss Mérida.
- 54:37Hello, are you ready? A pleasure, my
- 54:39dear. Let's see then which miss you
- 54:42choose.
- 54:43>> Uh, Mónica
- 54:50>> with number one.
- 54:52>> Okay. Miss Mérida, your question is
- 54:55related to leadership, equality, and
- 54:58social change. What would you say to
- 55:03those who consider that beauty pageants
- 55:05are obsolete or undermine feminism?
- 55:08Modern.
- 55:10>> Well, I would tell them that nowadays
- 55:12beauty has a purpose, it is a beauty
- 55:15that inspires. I believe that by
- 55:17fostering good values, essence, and
- 55:19authenticity, many Venezuelan queens
- 55:22have inspired us. I was once that girl
- 55:25behind the screen and I was inspired by
- 55:28great Venezuelan queens. So, I would
- 55:31speak to them about education,
- 55:33empowerment, and believing in the power
- 55:35that women have, the voice that can
- 55:37inspire so many Venezuelan girls.
- 55:40>> Let's see what the judges say. I loved
- 55:42it.
- 55:44>> Let's see, Miss Mérida, when she did
- 55:46the casting, where I did a sort of body
- 55:48language analysis, she had a tendency
- 55:49for her voice to tremble. Yes.
- 55:52>> Okay. So, I think that is something she
- 55:54has been improving, and a
- 55:56recommendation is to adopt the Wonder
- 55:58Woman pose. Before going out on stage
- 56:00expand your physicality, just as the
- 56:02mind changes our body. I mean, if I
- 56:05feel sad, my posture will probably tend
- 56:07to slump. But if I consciously adopt an
- 56:10expansive posture, there will come a
- 56:12time when I’ll start to feel more
- 56:14confident in a way. At the beginning,
- 56:18you used these pacifiers, manipulators,
- 56:19when you touched your face. Maybe it
- 56:24was really itching or there was some
- 56:27lint, I don't know, but that's when you
- 56:29have to avoid doing that because people
- 56:32don't know it’s actually itching.
- 56:35They might think, she feels insecure.
- 56:39So, try to reduce that type of contact
- 56:41with yourself, touching your hair,
- 56:43touching your face, because it detracts
- 56:45from your speech.
- 56:47>> Yes, I think, and building on what
- 56:49you're saying, even before knowing what
- 56:52the question was, you were touching
- 56:54your hair; I think it's a reflection of
- 56:57the nervousness we can have, which is
- 56:59completely normal. Sure, you have to
- 57:02control it a bit so as not to show
- 57:05those who don't know that it’s a
- 57:07reflection of what you're feeling at
- 57:09that moment. Do you feel you've grown,
- 57:12that you've progressed since you
- 57:13arrived at this competition?
- 57:14>> Yes, a lot. I mean, it's been a month
- 57:16and honestly the evolution has been
- 57:18magnificent. I'm quite proud. Thank you
- 57:21for your feedback. I will put it into
- 57:23practice and that's what we are here
- 57:25for, to keep improving. Proud, and your
- 57:27family, I feel they must also be very
- 57:29proud of you. Go ahead. We now call
- 57:32Miss Miranda. Very elegant. Miss
- 57:40Miranda, are you ready to select your
- 57:42inspiring queen? There are several.
- 57:45>> Let's see.
- 57:46>> Inés María Calero.
- 57:53>> With number 23.
- 57:55>> 23. Miranda, your question is related
- 58:01to identity, personal brand, and
- 58:03purpose. What personal price or
- 58:09sacrifice have you had to pay to be
- 58:12standing here today?
- 58:16>> Thank you, Diana, and thank you, Victor
- 58:18, for the question. What sacrifice have
- 58:21I had to pay to be here today? I think
- 58:23the sacrifice of effort. Throughout
- 58:26life we prepare to fulfill our dreams
- 58:28and little is said about the sacrifices
- 58:31that entails. A dream, when we reach it
- 58:34and fulfill it, can sometimes be seen
- 58:36from the other perspective as the easy
- 58:38path you've already attained. But
- 58:41rarely do we talk about, see, or
- 58:44realize everything behind it, which are
- 58:47the attempts, the failures, the
- 58:49mistakes that lead and shape you to
- 58:51reach that table. Every sacrifice has a
- 58:56reward, and truthfully, when the work
- 58:58is hard, it’s more satisfying. Let's
- 59:01see what the judges say. Let's see,
- 59:03Miranda, I think your speech had a lot
- 59:05of intention, I think you supported it
- 59:07a lot with illustrative gestures. These
- 59:09illustrators are the gestures we use to
- 59:11, redundancy aside, illustrate our
- 59:13speech and that is something I always
- 59:14emphasize to you. Use your hands to
- 59:17support yourself when answering and I
- 59:18think you did it too with a serene,
- 59:20convincing tone of voice. Eh, Miranda
- 59:23has the particularity that she is very,
- 59:25eh, cheerful and that makes her connect
- 59:27with people. So, well, I really
- 59:30congratulate you, I liked your answer a
- 59:32lot. I'll go along with that, I also
- 59:35liked your answer a lot. I was able to
- 59:38connect because, as Victor mentioned,
- 59:40you had good control of your body, of
- 59:42your, of your gestures, you were able
- 59:44to connect what you were thinking with
- 59:46what you were saying. I think that is
- 59:49extremely important when you have a
- 59:51question on the final night.
- 59:52Congratulations. I have nothing more to
- 59:56add. There are now 17 participants who
- 59:59have tested their strength against the
- 1:00:01questions from the legacy panel.
- 1:00:25Greetings. Eh, my name is Luis Mateo, I
- 1:00:27am a fashion designer. On this occasion
- 1:00:29, I am at Miss Venezuela filming the
- 1:00:32challenge, eh, a reality show with the
- 1:00:34misses. On this occasion, I am dressing
- 1:00:37eight candidates in, eh, cocktail
- 1:00:39dresses. It is a pleasure to be here
- 1:00:42because, well, this is an event, the
- 1:00:45ultimate event in Venezuela. It is very
- 1:00:48cultural and it is satisfying to be
- 1:00:49here, to dress these beautiful girls.
- 1:01:07The second group of candidates has also
- 1:01:09overcome the big question. Girls, I
- 1:01:11want you to tell me a little bit about
- 1:01:13how your experience went in this
- 1:01:15Tapacuro challenge. I was going to say
- 1:01:17Amazonas. Let's talk about that right
- 1:01:18now. Have you gotten over the fact that
- 1:01:19you're not Amazonas yet? Yes, of course
- 1:01:20. I'm still the first of the following
- 1:01:22groups anyway.
- 1:01:24>> I love it. Look, what went through your
- 1:01:26head right when they asked you the
- 1:01:27question?
- 1:01:29>> Well, I really answered calmly and
- 1:01:31serenely. It was, as they say, a banana
- 1:01:34peel, but one knows how to jump over
- 1:01:36that so as not to fall, right?
- 1:01:38>> But they say you could be more
- 1:01:39extroverted because off-camera you are
- 1:01:40like explosive and when you get on
- 1:01:42stage you are calmer. What's going on
- 1:01:44there? I believe that there is a time
- 1:01:46for everything and it's not that I'm
- 1:01:48being contradictory, but we are here,
- 1:01:49it's a serious moment and it's an
- 1:01:51answer that you have to give and I
- 1:01:52can't be there, oh, well, you know that
- 1:01:54I, we can't do those kinds of things.
- 1:01:56So I believe that there is a time for
- 1:01:58everything and we must respect it.
- 1:01:59>> That's right. Federal Dependencies. In
- 1:02:01your case, were you comfortable with
- 1:02:03the question they asked you?
- 1:02:04>> Well, I felt comfortable with the
- 1:02:06question itself, yes. However, I think
- 1:02:09I need to practice the answer more,
- 1:02:11show more confidence, and I think I
- 1:02:14should also practice the structure for
- 1:02:16Miss pageant answers a bit more,
- 1:02:18because honestly, I just said what I
- 1:02:20thought, but I didn't really go for the
- 1:02:22structure those pageant answers should
- 1:02:24have.
- 1:02:26>> That's right. Look, there's some talk
- 1:02:27in the hallways. I don't know, you know
- 1:02:29I sometimes bring a little gossip, that
- 1:02:31you have a strong personality; do you
- 1:02:33think your peers will vote for you as
- 1:02:35the best responder to get back at you
- 1:02:36for that personality?
- 1:02:38>> First time in my life that I've been
- 1:02:39told I have a strong personality.
- 1:02:41>> Well, let me tell you that I've heard
- 1:02:42it from several of them.
- 1:02:43>> Well, that surprises me a lot. It
- 1:02:45surprises me a lot. Uh, well, I don't
- 1:02:46know, I'll have to think about it.
- 1:02:47>> You're going to work on it. She's going
- 1:02:49to think about it. She's going to think
- 1:02:50about it. Dependency. Moving on to
- 1:02:52Distrito Capital and Falcón. Distrito,
- 1:02:54I saw you were very confident. Did you
- 1:02:56like your answer or would you change
- 1:02:57something?
- 1:02:58>> I don't even know what I said, to be
- 1:03:00honest.
- 1:03:00>> That happens. She says she doesn't
- 1:03:01always remember.
- 1:03:03>> I was very nervous, but I think the
- 1:03:04challenge was not to show those nerves
- 1:03:06I felt at that moment, because I really
- 1:03:07was nervous. I tried to answer with
- 1:03:10confidence, even if I was saying
- 1:03:11something crazy, but it's not what you
- 1:03:13say, it's how you say it.
- 1:03:14>> That's right. You'll see the video
- 1:03:16later and you'll see.
- 1:03:17>> I want to see it.
- 1:03:17>> And you will see. Falcón, you say that
- 1:03:19for you, it's much easier to talk than
- 1:03:21to do the runway walk. What could you
- 1:03:23recommend to them, perhaps so they
- 1:03:25don't feel as nervous as Distrito when
- 1:03:27it comes to a question?
- 1:03:29>> I think what I can most
- 1:03:30>> Wait, fix my nose, without nasal sounds
- 1:03:33. That's it.
- 1:03:35>> I think what I can recommend most to my
- 1:03:37peers is to trust themselves and
- 1:03:39downplay the importance of the question
- 1:03:42itself, because you have to feel like
- 1:03:44you're just talking to another person.
- 1:03:47>> That's right. I'm going over here with
- 1:03:50Guárico and La Guaira. Miss Guárico,
- 1:03:52what is easier? Answering on the stage
- 1:03:54of idols, as we call it, one of the
- 1:03:56most important stages in Latin America,
- 1:03:58or going to milk a cow?
- 1:04:00>> Wow. I think milking is easier, even
- 1:04:02though we have to get up early, even
- 1:04:04though we have to get up early. It was
- 1:04:06a great challenge, but I took it on and
- 1:04:08I loved the experience, especially the
- 1:04:10experts 'feedback.
- 1:04:11>> That's right, La Guaira. Tell me first,
- 1:04:12which former queen did you choose and
- 1:04:14why?
- 1:04:15>> Did I choose? I forgot, huh? Oh, yes, I
- 1:04:20forgot. The former queen isn't
- 1:04:22important to you.
- 1:04:23>> No, it's just that in that moment,
- 1:04:25between the nerves and everything, I
- 1:04:26forgot which queen I chose,
- 1:04:27>> what number you got.
- 1:04:28>> What number did I get?
- 1:04:30>> But were you happy with your answer, or
- 1:04:31do you not remember the answer either?
- 1:04:33>> Yes, I do remember the answer a little
- 1:04:35bit. I answered well, however, I do
- 1:04:38think I need to reinforce it a little
- 1:04:39because I know I could have answered
- 1:04:41better, and even more so given how I
- 1:04:43personally talk to people, I know I
- 1:04:44could have given an answer that hit the
- 1:04:46roof.
- 1:04:47>> Ah, so you think you're good at talking
- 1:04:49.
- 1:04:50>> No, I am an intelligent person with
- 1:04:52substance, but sometimes my nerves can
- 1:04:54get the better of me.
- 1:04:55>> Very well. Here we go with Miss Lara
- 1:04:57and Miss Merida. Miss Lara, what were
- 1:05:00you most afraid of when you stood on
- 1:05:02that stage?
- 1:05:03>> Falling down the stairs. That scares me
- 1:05:05every time
- 1:05:06>> more than the question.
- 1:05:07>> Yes, I think so, although even Diana
- 1:05:09didn't understand this question, so
- 1:05:11well, I think I held my own.
- 1:05:13>> Do you think the production team played
- 1:05:15a trick on you with that question?
- 1:05:16>> No, I don't think so, I didn't know
- 1:05:17which number I was going to choose, but
- 1:05:19, uh. They were going to play a trick
- 1:05:20on anyone.
- 1:05:22>> Look, in your case, Miss Merida, did
- 1:05:24you like the question you were asked,
- 1:05:25or do you think some questions were
- 1:05:27much easier than others?
- 1:05:29>> No, I liked my question, honestly. Uh,
- 1:05:31I answered from the heart. Obviously,
- 1:05:33one has many things to improve.
- 1:05:34>> Look, but I remember they told you to
- 1:05:36project your voice more. You aren't
- 1:05:37projecting here. Speak with strength.
- 1:05:39>> Ah, more strength. Okay. Uh,
- 1:05:41>> to be again. Did you like the question
- 1:05:43or didn't you like it?
- 1:05:44>> I loved my question, honestly. I spoke
- 1:05:46from the heart. Of course, there are
- 1:05:47many things to improve, but that's why
- 1:05:49I'm here, to learn. And I loved the
- 1:05:51fluidity. I have improved a lot. These
- 1:05:53past weeks, I've seen my change, and
- 1:05:56honestly, I'm happy about that.
- 1:05:58>> That's what's important. And we close
- 1:05:59with Miss Miranda. Miss Miranda, tell
- 1:06:01me, did you see the rest of your peers
- 1:06:04answer the questions?
- 1:06:05>> I couldn't see all of them, but the
- 1:06:07ones I saw, I liked what I saw.
- 1:06:08>> You didn't see all of them? Why? But,
- 1:06:10aren't you interested in what they have
- 1:06:11to say?
- 1:06:11>> No, of course I loved it, but they
- 1:06:12wouldn't let me go up. I wanted to go
- 1:06:14up and they sent me down and told me,"
- 1:06:15You can't go up yet. "I said," Okay. "
- 1:06:17>> Look, girl, the same thing I did with
- 1:06:19the first group. If you had to tell me
- 1:06:22which of your fellow contestants you
- 1:06:23get along with best, you can only pick
- 1:06:25one. Are you ready to go to a break?
- 1:06:28One quick one, tell me.
- 1:06:29>> I have a few, I don't know. Mérida.
- 1:06:31>> Mérida says that because she's right
- 1:06:33next to her. Mérida,
- 1:06:34>> huh? Carabobo.
- 1:06:35>> Carabobo.
- 1:06:36>> And if the one I name didn't say it was
- 1:06:37me?
- 1:06:37>> You'll see it in the video, my dear.
- 1:06:39You'll see it in the video.
- 1:06:41>> Carabobo.
- 1:06:42>> Carabobo.
- 1:06:43>> Uh, Barinas and Bolívar.
- 1:06:45>> Barinas.
- 1:06:47>> She knows it's her.
- 1:06:48>> Falcón.
- 1:06:50>> It's the same for me, I have a few,
- 1:06:52Monagas.
- 1:06:52>> Monagas.
- 1:06:54>> Iriana.
- 1:06:55>> Iriana. Miss Delta Amacuro
- 1:06:57>> and Táchira.
- 1:06:58>> Táchira. And for your part, Delta
- 1:07:00Amacuro.
- 1:07:01>> Oh, I get along well with everyone, so
- 1:07:02I like all of them.
- 1:07:03>> No, tell me one.
- 1:07:04>> Everyone, everyone, everyone.
- 1:07:05>> Well, everyone, everyone. But I have to
- 1:07:07say that, so far, you haven't named
- 1:07:08Anzoátegui. Um, they haven't named
- 1:07:11Zulia. Oh, oh, oh. We'll take a break
- 1:07:13and return with more of M Venezuela.
- 1:07:14the challenge. Yes. And now, we enter
- 1:07:53the final stretch of this speaking test
- 1:07:55before the panel of delegates. It is
- 1:07:59time to welcome the third and final
- 1:08:01group of the night, made up of the
- 1:08:03eight remaining candidates from Monagas
- 1:08:05to Zulia. And at this moment, we are
- 1:08:09going to welcome the last group, Miss
- 1:08:11Monagas.
- 1:08:17>> Ready, prepared?
- 1:08:18>> Super ready, Diana.
- 1:08:20>> Okay. From our panel, which queen is
- 1:08:24inspiring to you?
- 1:08:26>> Carolina Indriago.
- 1:08:29>> And Carolina Indriago has question
- 1:08:32number 21. Okay. It belongs to the
- 1:08:36identity, personal brand, and purpose
- 1:08:39category. This is your question. If
- 1:08:43tonight you don't make it to the final
- 1:08:45group, what will be the narrative you
- 1:08:48use to justify this result to yourself
- 1:08:50and your country? time.
- 1:08:53>> Okay. More than justifying, it's
- 1:08:56thanking myself for the courage I had
- 1:08:58throughout the pageant, the confidence
- 1:09:00I showed, the attitude I brought, and
- 1:09:02above all, the essence that
- 1:09:03characterizes me. If I don't win a
- 1:09:06crown this time, I know I will gain
- 1:09:08many other things, first and foremost
- 1:09:10the experience, especially sharing with
- 1:09:13my peers and other wonderful
- 1:09:14opportunities that Miss Venezuela will
- 1:09:17open up for me.
- 1:09:19>> That's right. Sometimes the crown is
- 1:09:21not the result we want, but rather the
- 1:09:23entire experience and everything this
- 1:09:26preparation offers us. Let's listen to
- 1:09:29our jury members.
- 1:09:31>> Miss Monagas, well, I think you
- 1:09:33developed your answer in quite a
- 1:09:34forceful way, you were direct, you were
- 1:09:36clear. Uh, the only thing I could
- 1:09:39suggest is that in these types of
- 1:09:41questions, do allow yourself to smile a
- 1:09:43little more. You did smile at the end.
- 1:09:47Uh, something obviously very positive,
- 1:09:49but perhaps during the course of
- 1:09:52formulating this answer, I might have
- 1:09:54liked to see a slightly more marked
- 1:09:57expression of a smile, uh, but
- 1:09:59otherwise I loved your answer.
- 1:10:02>> I also really loved the response from
- 1:10:04Monagas, very real, very authentic.
- 1:10:07That's also why you were so serene,
- 1:10:10because you said it from your heart,
- 1:10:12from what you think. No answer is
- 1:10:16positive or negative, it is simply your
- 1:10:19point of view and your appreciation,
- 1:10:21and I feel she handled it correctly for
- 1:10:23me. Very good. And
- 1:10:25>> thank you.
- 1:10:26>> Well, Grecia, congratulations. How did
- 1:10:28you really feel? What do you have to
- 1:10:31say to them? Thank them for this advice
- 1:10:33that can work for you for the final
- 1:10:35night. Look, especially the smile,
- 1:10:37because perhaps sometimes we handle
- 1:10:38nerves differently and I handled my
- 1:10:40nerves that way, by looking a bit more
- 1:10:42serious to appear more confident, but
- 1:10:44well, I will obviously keep working on
- 1:10:45it.
- 1:10:46>> Of course. We will see a lot of that
- 1:10:48evolution that our dear Monagas will
- 1:10:50have, but now it is time to call Nueva
- 1:10:53Esparta. Gorgeous Nueva Esparta. Look,
- 1:11:00they say that a bun means a crown.
- 1:11:02>> Amen. Thank you. How are you? Very well
- 1:11:04. Are you ready to choose a queen who
- 1:11:07inspires? Yes. Judith Castillo. Judith
- 1:11:10Castillo. Okay. She selected Judith
- 1:11:13Castillo, who has question number 18,
- 1:11:19on the topic of politics, economy, and
- 1:11:21current events. This is your question.
- 1:11:24Public figures face fierce judgment
- 1:11:27that impacts their mental health. If
- 1:11:30the cost of being an opinion leader is
- 1:11:33your emotional peace, is it worth
- 1:11:36paying that price for the crown? Time.
- 1:11:41>> Mental health is something we must work
- 1:11:44on every day. Whether you are a public
- 1:11:47figure or not, whether you are a leader
- 1:11:49or not, we are leaders every day and we
- 1:11:52must inspire in our homes, in our
- 1:11:54houses, and to every person. Whether
- 1:11:56it's because of screens or our homes,
- 1:11:59we must always take care of and protect
- 1:12:01our mental health. Mental health is
- 1:12:05what we need to emphasize nowadays;
- 1:12:07there is so much that can affect us,
- 1:12:10and in the end, if we are not mentally
- 1:12:12well, how are we going to go on or
- 1:12:15inspire other people? Now, let's hear
- 1:12:19what the jury members have to say about
- 1:12:21your answer.
- 1:12:23>> Nueva Esparta, uh, I think you also
- 1:12:25developed the answer very well. I would
- 1:12:28perhaps recommend that you try to
- 1:12:31gesture a bit more, maybe use baton
- 1:12:34gestures, referring to a specific point
- 1:12:37that is very important to you in that
- 1:12:40answer, perhaps enumerating; that
- 1:12:42enriches your vocabulary in terms of
- 1:12:45body language. And well,
- 1:12:48congratulations, I think you answered
- 1:12:50in a very direct way. A very powerful
- 1:12:53message, but you make it even more
- 1:12:55powerful with the strength, with the
- 1:12:57intonation you can inject into any
- 1:12:58message you give. So, I think I would
- 1:13:02add a little more strength.
- 1:13:05>> Well, given this advice, are you going
- 1:13:07to add strength? Are you going to
- 1:13:09project much more? How did you feel?
- 1:13:11>> Good, I liked the topic. Mental health
- 1:13:13is something very important and yes,
- 1:13:14let's go for it, with more strength.
- 1:13:17Thank you very much, and the time has
- 1:13:19come to ask the representative of the
- 1:13:21state of Portuguesa to come forward.
- 1:13:29Portuguesa. How are you feeling?
- 1:13:31>> Very well. How are you?
- 1:13:33>> Very well, thank you. No one had ever
- 1:13:34asked me that. Let's go ahead and
- 1:13:37choose a queen who inspires, whichever
- 1:13:39one you want. Sure. I will take the
- 1:13:44liberty then of calling our dear,
- 1:13:46naming Elus Peraza. And Elus Peraza has
- 1:13:52for her question number 24. Identity,
- 1:14:00personal brand, and purpose. This is
- 1:14:02your question. If a beauty queen is a
- 1:14:06global ambassador, what is the most
- 1:14:08uncomfortable, but necessary message
- 1:14:10the world needs to hear today? Time.
- 1:14:16Okay. Excuse me, I'm very nervous.
- 1:14:22>> Stay calm, stay calm. But this is your
- 1:14:26moment to tell the people watching us
- 1:14:28what uncomfortable but necessary
- 1:14:30message you could tell the people who
- 1:14:32follow Miss Venezuela, right? Well,
- 1:14:36>> hello, thank you for your question.
- 1:14:40Beyond a message, I was just talking
- 1:14:42about it on the TikTok live just now,
- 1:14:44it is the power of having a bit of
- 1:14:46sympathy toward people when we are in
- 1:14:48this topic of beauty pageants. Uh,
- 1:14:52despite receiving good comments and
- 1:14:54having people who always help you,
- 1:14:57there's always the other side that we
- 1:14:59don't like, but I take it positively,
- 1:15:02not letting it affect me, and more so,
- 1:15:05people need to be a bit more empathetic
- 1:15:07when making a comment on social media.
- 1:15:11Anyone is brave behind a screen, but in
- 1:15:15reality, you have to be very careful
- 1:15:18when you comment. Thank you. That's how
- 1:15:21it is. Empathy is what we need to have
- 1:15:23right now. Let's hear what the jury
- 1:15:26members have to say to you.
- 1:15:28>> Sure,
- 1:15:29>> Portuguesa. Uh, on these occasions,
- 1:15:31well, first, it's absolutely normal for
- 1:15:34you to feel nervous because being on a
- 1:15:36platform like this, obviously, uh,
- 1:15:38creates pressure for anyone. However,
- 1:15:40in these situations, uh, I would
- 1:15:42recommend that you use the" Thank you
- 1:15:43so much for your question. "Uh, I find
- 1:15:46this question very interesting because
- 1:15:49you can use those few seconds very, uh,
- 1:15:51effectively to create that response
- 1:15:54structure. So, that would be my
- 1:15:57recommendation, also to adopt before
- 1:16:00going on stage what is known as the
- 1:16:02Wonder Woman pose. Just as the mind
- 1:16:05changes our body, our body can change
- 1:16:07our mind. So, I think this is one of
- 1:16:09the strategies I would recommend for
- 1:16:11you to gain more confidence, uh, more
- 1:16:12confidence when going out on stage.
- 1:16:14>> This is my most personal challenge. Uh,
- 1:16:17I suffer from stage fright, like you
- 1:16:20have no idea. You may see a super
- 1:16:23spontaneous, super energetic, confident
- 1:16:25woman on social media, but being here
- 1:16:27for me is a challenge that I will meet
- 1:16:29and I will overcome. Uh, believe me, at
- 1:16:33least I am speaking now; two or three
- 1:16:35years ago I didn't speak, I mean, I
- 1:16:37didn't speak incoherently or coherently
- 1:16:39, I didn't speak to you at all. So
- 1:16:41thank you for your advice, and I will
- 1:16:43take it, and I will work together with
- 1:16:45the organization a lot, a lot to learn
- 1:16:47from them and improve and keep moving
- 1:16:49forward. I think so. We are going to
- 1:16:53see that evaluation and evolution you
- 1:16:54will have in the future, and you will
- 1:16:56feel proud. What you will take away
- 1:16:59most from this experience is all the
- 1:17:01advice and that personal evolution that
- 1:17:04you just mentioned today, and you will
- 1:17:06see it on the final night. Thank you
- 1:17:09very much. At this moment, it was the
- 1:17:11candidate from Sucre state's turn, but
- 1:17:14due to personal and health reasons, she
- 1:17:17could not be present. So we call Miss
- 1:17:21Táchira. Hello, how are you? How do
- 1:17:28you feel?
- 1:17:28>> Very well, excited and anxious. Ready.
- 1:17:31With that excitement and enthusiasm,
- 1:17:33choose which queen inspires you.
- 1:17:36Maritza Sayalero.
- 1:17:37>> Okay. You chose Maritza Sayalero, and
- 1:17:41Maritza Sayalero has as her question
- 1:17:45number our first Miss Universe. Number
- 1:17:5211. Number 11, crisis management and
- 1:17:56leadership. This is your question. If,
- 1:18:01due to a judging error, you were
- 1:18:02crowned by mistake in front of millions
- 1:18:05of people and they had to take the
- 1:18:07crown from you live, how would you
- 1:18:09handle the situation? Time.
- 1:18:12>> Thank you for your question. Well,
- 1:18:15truly, in any situation where one finds
- 1:18:18oneself in doubt, uncertainty, or in
- 1:18:20that moment, I feel that it is more the
- 1:18:23nervousness of living through that
- 1:18:25situation. I would take it as God knows
- 1:18:30why He does things; all His timings are
- 1:18:33perfect, and if He is making that
- 1:18:35decision, it is to make me stronger,
- 1:18:38make me braver, and thus be able to
- 1:18:40face any situation that comes my way in
- 1:18:43life, because that will forge part of
- 1:18:46my character.
- 1:18:48>> Very good response. A situation we saw
- 1:18:51our Miss Colombia, our fellow
- 1:18:53countrywoman, go through. It wasn't
- 1:18:56easy at all, but I think, as you
- 1:18:58mention, always guided by God. Let’s
- 1:19:00hear what our jury members have to say.
- 1:19:04>> Miss Táchira, the land of cordiality.
- 1:19:07Look, she, I repeat, appealed
- 1:19:08consciously or unconsciously to
- 1:19:10something that is very beneficial,
- 1:19:12which is appealing to values. She says,
- 1:19:15" If this is what God has for me, "and
- 1:19:17this, in one way or another, the vast
- 1:19:19majority of people will agree.
- 1:19:21Appealing to values, to feelings, this
- 1:19:23is something very positive, especially
- 1:19:24for such uncomfortable questions as
- 1:19:26this one can be. Regarding your body
- 1:19:30language, I saw you confident, I saw
- 1:19:32you serene, however, I think you could
- 1:19:34inject a little more strength to convey
- 1:19:36that confidence and that elegance,
- 1:19:38which is what the great majority of
- 1:19:40viewers want in our Miss Venezuela.
- 1:19:44>> And I also would have appealed to the
- 1:19:46fact that this happened. Ariadna
- 1:19:48Gutiérrez, if I am not mistaken, Miss
- 1:19:50Colombia,
- 1:19:51>> is more famous than even the one who
- 1:19:53won that year. So, I think it was
- 1:19:55perfect. Everything is perfect.
- 1:19:57Everything that happens in our lives is
- 1:19:58in a perfect way. And from there I
- 1:20:00would have also held on a little more
- 1:20:02because you had it clear, you had the
- 1:20:04clear idea. Eh, say it, say what you
- 1:20:07think, what you feel, say everything,
- 1:20:09don't hold anything back. I think you
- 1:20:11always have to leave more and go the
- 1:20:13extra mile, always a little bit more,
- 1:20:15right? A little bit less. Okay, perfect
- 1:20:18. Thank you.
- 1:20:19>> With this advice, I think you're a
- 1:20:21little clearer on that answer now. How
- 1:20:23did you feel?
- 1:20:25>> Oh, I felt very good, it's a pleasure
- 1:20:27to meet you, Mariel. I have truly
- 1:20:28followed you since I was a little girl
- 1:20:30and I love your whole career. Thanks to
- 1:20:32the professor for his advice as well. I
- 1:20:34will apply them and, well, I will
- 1:20:36always seek to improve and give my best
- 1:20:37. That's how it is. And at this moment
- 1:20:40we are going to call your colleague
- 1:20:42from Trujillo state.
- 1:20:50>> How are you? How do you feel?
- 1:20:53>> Good, beautiful and happy to be here
- 1:20:54right now with...that's how it is. You
- 1:20:56look beautiful. So it's time to choose
- 1:20:59which queen inspires you right now.
- 1:21:03Milka Cholina. Number 16, politics,
- 1:21:11economy, and current events. Given the
- 1:21:18phenomenon of mass migration worldwide,
- 1:21:21do countries have a moral obligation to
- 1:21:24keep borders open? Time.
- 1:21:29>> Hm. I think that every country has the
- 1:21:33right to keep its own rules. Its own
- 1:21:38rights, to protect its people, and I
- 1:21:40think each border could and should be
- 1:21:43respected, although as humans accepting
- 1:21:46all our brothers, I also think it's
- 1:21:49fundamental. So, it's a subject to
- 1:21:53address.
- 1:21:54>> Thank you very much. You are very right
- 1:21:57, very coherent. We have to find a way
- 1:21:59for the laws of each country to be
- 1:22:01respected. Exactly. A balance. What do
- 1:22:04our judges have to say? Trujillo, you
- 1:22:08appealed to the issue of respect and I
- 1:22:10repeat, the fact of appealing to values
- 1:22:13will always be very positive because
- 1:22:15people will always agree with respect,
- 1:22:17we will always agree with love. So,
- 1:22:21that type of answer can be very
- 1:22:22diplomatic because, well, obviously
- 1:22:24answering this type of question and
- 1:22:26especially these types of topics is
- 1:22:27quite complicated. Okay? Um, same as
- 1:22:31what I told your previous colleague:
- 1:22:34more energy, more enthusiasm. Take
- 1:22:37advantage, the fact of gesturing, of
- 1:22:39expanding your body language, perhaps
- 1:22:41raising your voice a little more, of
- 1:22:43projecting, because I feel that's what
- 1:22:45—in the end, it's not what you say,
- 1:22:46but how you say it. So, I feel that if
- 1:22:50you take these recommendations into
- 1:22:51account, you can have a much better
- 1:22:53stage presence.
- 1:22:54>> Every opportunity is a space to learn
- 1:22:57and grow.
- 1:22:58>> That's how it is. We are all growing
- 1:23:01today, so let's call your colleague
- 1:23:03from Yaracuy state.
- 1:23:11>> Miss Yaracuy, how do you feel? Ready?
- 1:23:14Prepared?
- 1:23:15>> A little nervous, but let's go, let's
- 1:23:16see what happens today.
- 1:23:19>> Nerves are always part of this moment,
- 1:23:21so let's choose a queen who inspires. I
- 1:23:24would tell you to look somewhere in the
- 1:23:26middle.
- 1:23:27>> In the middle.
- 1:23:28>> Let's see. Okay, Martina Thorgood,
- 1:23:33>> here we have her, Martina Thorgood.
- 1:23:37Number four, leadership, equality, and
- 1:23:40social change. And your question is the
- 1:23:43following: do you believe the world is
- 1:23:45prepared to be led mostly by women? Or
- 1:23:48should leadership not have a gender,
- 1:23:51time? Look, I love this question
- 1:23:56because I consider that leadership
- 1:23:58shouldn't have a gender, but right now
- 1:24:01as we are here representing Venezuela,
- 1:24:03all these women, I consider that a true
- 1:24:06leader, any leader, man or woman,
- 1:24:08should know how to listen and seek
- 1:24:10tangible solutions. That is where the
- 1:24:13true difference lies. And a true leader
- 1:24:17seeks to be pro-growth, pro-education,
- 1:24:22and help communities. So, a true leader
- 1:24:28goes beyond gender; it is about your
- 1:24:31values, principles, and knowing how to
- 1:24:34seek solutions.
- 1:24:37>> You said it, knowing how to seek
- 1:24:39solutions. Let's hear what this panel
- 1:24:43of judges has to say.
- 1:24:46>> Yakuy, I'm going to comment on
- 1:24:47something I told you all in the first
- 1:24:49class, and that is that between being
- 1:24:51and appearing, in these scenarios, it
- 1:24:53is more important to appear so. When
- 1:24:56you entered, I saw you very confident,
- 1:24:58and when Diana asked you how you feel,
- 1:25:00saying" a little nervous, "that makes
- 1:25:02people think," But I see her as
- 1:25:04confident, "so they might suddenly
- 1:25:05start looking for those signs of
- 1:25:07nervousness. Okay. So, I recommend, how
- 1:25:10do you feel? I feel happy, I feel it is
- 1:25:13an honor for me to be here sharing with
- 1:25:15you all. So, avoid saying those things
- 1:25:17so that people don't look for nerves.
- 1:25:20Particularly for me, as I work in body
- 1:25:22language analysis, I did not perceive
- 1:25:24eh gestures of nervousness. On the
- 1:25:26other hand, you touched Diana's
- 1:25:28microphone when responding. Avoid
- 1:25:31touching the microphones because this
- 1:25:33is done with the goal of reducing
- 1:25:35stress. Given that, I recommend you eh
- 1:25:39gesture something that, well, I have
- 1:25:41already commented on quite a bit during
- 1:25:44this day, but I loved the answer.
- 1:25:47Leadership has to be tangible, there
- 1:25:48have to be solutions. So, in the end, I
- 1:25:50think that the answer, if we analyze
- 1:25:52the answer, I loved it.
- 1:25:54>> The moment has arrived to call the next
- 1:25:56candidate, the representative of the
- 1:25:59state, Zulia. Miss Zulia, you are the
- 1:26:13last one to go. How do you feel?
- 1:26:16>> Calm, serene, happy, and grateful for
- 1:26:18the moment.
- 1:26:19>> Very well. We are going to choose a
- 1:26:22Miss who inspires, Jenis Floriano.
- 1:26:28>> What does question number five have?
- 1:26:33Leadership, equality, and social change
- 1:26:36. And your question, my Zulia, is the
- 1:26:39following. What cultural change of this
- 1:26:42last decade do you consider to have
- 1:26:44been a mistake for society? Time.
- 1:26:48>> Well, thank you very much for the
- 1:26:49question. I believe that we as a
- 1:26:51society have evolved in a quite
- 1:26:53admirable way, and I think I wouldn't
- 1:26:55change absolutely anything. I believe
- 1:26:58that a flag I carry with great
- 1:26:59responsibility is exalting the culture
- 1:27:02of my state, precisely by leading a
- 1:27:04space for indigenous women. And I
- 1:27:06believe that this evolution that I
- 1:27:08carry with the women of my region is
- 1:27:09something that I would love to spread
- 1:27:11to the world. I wouldn't change
- 1:27:12absolutely anything. I think we are
- 1:27:14firm on the goal.
- 1:27:17>> Firm on the goal. You have said it and
- 1:27:19we have seen it with your entire
- 1:27:20participation. Let's hear what the jury
- 1:27:24panel has to say.
- 1:27:26>> Julia, I loved the answer. Uh, well,
- 1:27:28like a good Zuliana, you have a lot of
- 1:27:30strength when speaking, and something I
- 1:27:32always highlight is that you didn't
- 1:27:34ramble; you gave your point of view. I
- 1:27:36wouldn't change anything, because it
- 1:27:39often happens that when answering, they
- 1:27:41are very ambiguous and sometimes don't
- 1:27:44give an answer. So, I think it is
- 1:27:46always important to take action, to
- 1:27:48take a, uh, a stance, and I think you
- 1:27:51did that; you have a lot of, uh,
- 1:27:52strength, which is something that is
- 1:27:55needed on stage. So, 20 points. You
- 1:27:58earned a, a, uh, what is the typical
- 1:28:00food of Zulia?
- 1:28:01>> A mandoca.
- 1:28:02>> A mandoca. A tequeño, a tequeño. Also
- 1:28:05, also, also.
- 1:28:06>> Countrywoman. Countrywoman. Great
- 1:28:07composure, I love it.
- 1:28:08>> Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:28:09>> With great firmness. Did you hear
- 1:28:11Victor's recommendation to the previous
- 1:28:14candidate when Diana asked you," How do
- 1:28:16you feel? "" Calm, serene. "Uh, that
- 1:28:19will take you far: listening, paying
- 1:28:22attention to the details.
- 1:28:24>> The competition is not with her, the
- 1:28:26competition is with yourself. So focus
- 1:28:28on you, see how you can improve every
- 1:28:31day, because you always can. Every day
- 1:28:34we have to improve. And very good, I
- 1:28:36love it.
- 1:28:37>> Thank you. I loved the accent.
- 1:28:40>> Obviously, I know that not only
- 1:28:42Osmariel, but all your people back in
- 1:28:44Zulia felt proud of that answer you
- 1:28:46gave. But, how did you feel now after
- 1:28:49hearing what the jury panel commented
- 1:28:51to you?
- 1:28:52>> The truth is I am completely grateful
- 1:28:54for the question because I feel it is
- 1:28:56the universe itself aligning all the
- 1:28:58cards for me, you know? I think that
- 1:29:00being asked something related to
- 1:29:01culture is something that goes along
- 1:29:03with my project and my heart. And the
- 1:29:05truth is I thank God and the universe
- 1:29:08for this moment.
- 1:29:09>> The work on stage for the 25 aspirants
- 1:29:12has ended for today. Now the
- 1:29:15responsibility shifts to our side. We
- 1:29:18will step away to deliberate on who the
- 1:29:20selected ones are, which are the three
- 1:29:22best answers of the night. We will
- 1:29:26follow the official top three, and upon
- 1:29:28returning, we will open the interactive
- 1:29:30poll so the audience at home can vote
- 1:29:33in real time and decide the absolute
- 1:29:35winner of this challenge. Don't move
- 1:29:39from your screens; in the next block,
- 1:29:41we will reveal who makes up the top
- 1:29:42three and how to vote. We'll be right
- 1:29:46back with the grand finale of Miss
- 1:29:47Venezuela, The Challenge. Hello, I'm
- 1:30:11Sul Rodriguez, a fashion designer from
- 1:30:12Barinas state. Once again, we are here
- 1:30:14participating in the Miss Venezuela
- 1:30:16Challenge. On this occasion, for this
- 1:30:19week, I presented a collection of midi
- 1:30:21dresses, princess-style cuts, joining
- 1:30:23the theme of the question challenge,
- 1:30:25where I wanted to highlight that each
- 1:30:27of the candidates be authentic in the
- 1:30:29way they dress and in the way they
- 1:30:30conduct themselves when speaking. I am
- 1:30:34very happy with the Miss Venezuela
- 1:30:35production. I'm grateful for being
- 1:30:37considered this time to be part of
- 1:30:39their team and everything that is the
- 1:30:41Miss Venezuela theme. The last group of
- 1:30:58candidates has already gone through the
- 1:31:00big question from the legacy panel.
- 1:31:02Monagas, I saw you were very confident.
- 1:31:04Well, I didn't expect less because you
- 1:31:07are a TV host, so for you, let's say
- 1:31:09this is a piece of cake.
- 1:31:11>> Well, it's not a piece of cake; we have
- 1:31:13the experience, and obviously that
- 1:31:14opens up the field a little more, but
- 1:31:16you're still always going to be invaded
- 1:31:17by nerves. But I did feel quite secure
- 1:31:19and confident in myself.
- 1:31:21>> But wait, uh, I think the professor
- 1:31:22told you that while you were speaking,
- 1:31:23you had to smile. You're not doing it,
- 1:31:25my dear.
- 1:31:25>> Well, uh, I feel confident in myself,
- 1:31:27and well, now we are practicing this
- 1:31:30smile. That's it, very good. In your
- 1:31:32case, Nueva Esparta, what did the jury
- 1:31:33tell you, and do you agree with what
- 1:31:35they said?
- 1:31:36>> Yes, I liked it. I am going to take the
- 1:31:37suggestions. Uh, I felt calm with my
- 1:31:39question. It spoke of mental health,
- 1:31:41which is something very important that
- 1:31:43we must address every day.
- 1:31:44>> Are you sure you agree with the jury?
- 1:31:46Are you saying that just to be polite?
- 1:31:47>> Yes, yes, yes, I liked it.
- 1:31:48>> Uh-huh. Very good. I’m going here
- 1:31:50with Portuguesa and Táchira. In your
- 1:31:53case, you got nervous, girl. What went
- 1:31:55through your head at that moment? All
- 1:31:57those seconds. You know that on
- 1:31:58television, when you go silent, those
- 1:32:01seconds feel like minutes. What was
- 1:32:03going through your head? What happened
- 1:32:04to you?
- 1:32:06>> Well, uh, not to make excuses, but
- 1:32:08today, more than usual, my spirits are
- 1:32:11a bit low, but, uh, anyway, I really
- 1:32:13liked the advice you gave me. Uh, I
- 1:32:16need to take all that to heart and put
- 1:32:18it into practice. You all know I have
- 1:32:21an issue with nerves, and I consider
- 1:32:23this my most personal challenge, and I
- 1:32:25really hope to evolve on that because,
- 1:32:27for the rest, I’ll
- 1:32:30>> I’ll handle it. In your case,
- 1:32:32Táchira, is answering questions also
- 1:32:33one of the hardest parts of being a
- 1:32:35miss for you, or is there another
- 1:32:36activity that’s tougher? No, I feel
- 1:32:39that, well, yes, uh, it's no secret to
- 1:32:42anyone that, when it comes to the Q&A,
- 1:32:44we all have that, like that uncertainty
- 1:32:47of what the question might be, how I
- 1:32:49might answer; but, well, that's managed
- 1:32:51and worked on to achieve, like, yes,
- 1:32:54improving that insecurity or those
- 1:32:56nerves when speaking. And I don't feel
- 1:32:58that I...I can handle everything else
- 1:33:00quite well, honestly.
- 1:33:01>> Very good. But I feel like you're
- 1:33:02losing your accent, are you working on
- 1:33:04it to not sound so" gochito "? What's
- 1:33:05going on? Yes, I feel it could be
- 1:33:08through public speaking classes, and I
- 1:33:10try to modulate it a bit and control it
- 1:33:12, but that's something that's in here,
- 1:33:14it will never, ever disappear.
- 1:33:16>> Don't forget it, because otherwise,
- 1:33:17Gochilandia will come after you. Now
- 1:33:19I'll go over here with Miss Trujillo.
- 1:33:21They also told you that you needed to
- 1:33:23show a bit more confidence or project
- 1:33:25more on stage. And sometimes it’s
- 1:33:26happened that I’ve corrected your,
- 1:33:28perhaps, walk or dance steps, and you
- 1:33:30say like, yes, I need to, I mean, it's
- 1:33:32like you're still not aware of how much
- 1:33:33you can give or how little you can give
- 1:33:35. I was a little scared of looking
- 1:33:37exaggerated. I like to look more
- 1:33:39elegant, more understated. They told me
- 1:33:43I needed to project my voice more, so I
- 1:33:44guess I'll have to work on talking
- 1:33:46loudly to myself in front of the mirror
- 1:33:48.
- 1:33:49>> Speaking of the mirror, back when you
- 1:33:51were a little girl, dreaming about your
- 1:33:53cousin or maybe being a beauty queen,
- 1:33:54did you ever stand in front of the
- 1:33:56mirror to answer the final question?
- 1:33:58>> Look, maybe not in front of the mirror,
- 1:33:59but definitely in front of my family.
- 1:34:00We’d sit everyone down and put on a
- 1:34:02Miss Venezuela show using my aunt’s
- 1:34:04and my mom’s dresses. We’d put them
- 1:34:06on and walk all around the house,
- 1:34:07putting on the Miss Venezuela show.
- 1:34:08>> But what were you better at, the runway
- 1:34:10walk or the public speaking?
- 1:34:11>> The runway.
- 1:34:12>> Look, I have a video somewhere that
- 1:34:14I’m going to post on the" Sabado Tuyo
- 1:34:15"social media, you looking scared in
- 1:34:16the back, listening to all the others.
- 1:34:19No, you didn’t feel that confident, I
- 1:34:20think, with the public speaking. I’m
- 1:34:21with you, my Zulia. One of your
- 1:34:23strengths is talking, from what I can
- 1:34:25see, right? Because you’ve also given
- 1:34:26conferences and so on. Tell us, did you
- 1:34:28feel comfortable? Sure, of course. I
- 1:34:30felt comfortable. I loved that I
- 1:34:32projected confidence, because even
- 1:34:34though my heels were too big—which
- 1:34:36nobody noticed, thank God—that was my
- 1:34:38biggest insecurity, being the
- 1:34:39Cinderella of this event. But no,
- 1:34:42everything turned out well, thank God.
- 1:34:43When it was time for the question, I
- 1:34:45felt calm and confident, and well, I
- 1:34:46think I did a good job.
- 1:34:47>> Look, I have a little piece of gossip
- 1:34:49here too, because sometimes I’m going
- 1:34:50to throw a little scoop at each one of
- 1:34:51you. I’ve read somewhere that
- 1:34:52you’re a bit over-the-top with your
- 1:34:54gestures and it doesn’t look very
- 1:34:55natural, that you’re acting a bit.
- 1:34:56It’s true. Don't give me that look.
- 1:34:58You must have read it. Is it true or
- 1:35:00not?
- 1:35:00>> The thing is, in Maracaibo, we are
- 1:35:03usually very histrionic people, so I
- 1:35:05think that’s it. I think that’s it.
- 1:35:07But well, maybe I should, right? Maybe
- 1:35:10I did something I should consider
- 1:35:11toning down, but my personality is
- 1:35:13really just like that.
- 1:35:14>> Speaking of personality, I want you
- 1:35:16girls to tell me one girl you get along
- 1:35:18with best, who has the most personality
- 1:35:20and is your best companion—just one.
- 1:35:23Okay. Who would it be for you?
- 1:35:24>> Well, Cojedes came up to me and said,"
- 1:35:26I didn’t mention you, but you were
- 1:35:27there. "So I’m going to choose
- 1:35:28Cojedes.
- 1:35:29>> Cojedes.
- 1:35:29>> That’s a tough one. I get along with
- 1:35:31everyone.
- 1:35:31>> Just one.
- 1:35:33>> I get along with them.
- 1:35:34>> Just one. Yaracuy.
- 1:35:36>> I’m going to say Yaracuy. My neighbor
- 1:35:37.
- 1:35:38>> Yaracuy.
- 1:35:39>> Delta Amacuro.
- 1:35:40>> Delta Amacuro.
- 1:35:41>> I get along with everyone, but Delta
- 1:35:43Amacuro. And Táchira, well.
- 1:35:45>> Delta Amacuro.
- 1:35:46>> Uh, Bolívar, my namesake, Sara.
- 1:35:48>> Bolívar.
- 1:35:49>> Uh, with Falcón.
- 1:35:50>> With Falcón. I think nobody named you,
- 1:35:52right? And Delta Amacuro was definitely
- 1:35:55the most named. We’ll be right back
- 1:35:57with more Miss Venezuela. The challenge
- 1:35:59. Hi, my name is Carol Ginter, I am a
- 1:36:23Venezuelan designer, and today I had
- 1:36:25the opportunity to dress four of the
- 1:36:27misses and I am thrilled with the
- 1:36:29result. I was inspired by the brand’s
- 1:36:32DNA, which as you can see, is the
- 1:36:34prints. I used a different silhouette
- 1:36:36for each one, trying to enhance their
- 1:36:39figures so they would look prettier and
- 1:36:41more elegant. Each one has a special
- 1:36:44color that I thought would make their
- 1:36:46skin pop. So, I hope you like them,
- 1:36:48vote for them, and let us know your
- 1:36:50thoughts. Just And the decisive moment
- 1:37:36of the night has arrived. The 24
- 1:37:38candidates have faced the panel’s
- 1:37:41questions and the tension in the studio
- 1:37:43is at its peak. But before revealing
- 1:37:47our official top three, there is a very
- 1:37:49special recognition. They voted
- 1:37:52secretly behind the scenes to choose
- 1:37:54the companion who showed the best
- 1:37:56command, composure, and eloquence. We
- 1:38:01connect immediately backstage with
- 1:38:03Brian Urea, who has the results of this
- 1:38:06internal vote. Go ahead, Brian. Yes,
- 1:38:10indeed, we have a result that I will
- 1:38:13take the liberty of clarifying: it’s
- 1:38:15not backstage, because I wasn’t
- 1:38:17allowed backstage; I wanted to be on
- 1:38:20stage with each of the candidates
- 1:38:22talking to them and, well, between
- 1:38:24comments, they decided that the one who
- 1:38:27did best in this, let’s say, great
- 1:38:29question challenge is: drumroll! Are
- 1:38:32you ready? The winner among her peers
- 1:38:36turned out to be Miss Carabobo,
- 1:38:38Emiliana Carballo. Recognizing talent
- 1:38:50in your own peers shows maturity and
- 1:38:52the spirit of a queen. I announce right
- 1:38:56now the top three and the public vote.
- 1:39:00The moment the whole country was
- 1:39:02waiting for has arrived. We have
- 1:39:04carefully evaluated the performance,
- 1:39:06speech structure, firmness, and content
- 1:39:09of each response. The three candidates
- 1:39:12who officially advance to the top three
- 1:39:15for the great question are: Miss
- 1:39:21Miranda. Miss Zulia, one spot is
- 1:39:37missing. One spot is missing.
- 1:39:38>> My God, I don’t know. I...you heard,
- 1:39:41you were there. What do you have to say
- 1:39:43to those girls who are, well, waiting
- 1:39:45for that last spot?
- 1:39:46>> I have it very, very clear, Diana.
- 1:39:49Really, just keep going, keep preparing
- 1:39:51yourselves. This is the beginning of a
- 1:39:54wonderful life and career. But we have
- 1:39:58already made the decision, and third
- 1:40:00place goes to Miss Carabobo. We can see
- 1:40:12the judging panel agreed with the
- 1:40:14contestants. There you have them.
- 1:40:17Congratulations to our top three. But
- 1:40:20as we announced at the beginning of the
- 1:40:22episode, the final decision isn't just
- 1:40:24in our hands. From this very moment,
- 1:40:28the interactive poll is open. It's your
- 1:40:31turn at home. Go to our Miss Venezuela
- 1:40:34Oficial YouTube channel. Go to the
- 1:40:37community or posts tab and vote for
- 1:40:39your favorite in this top three. Voting
- 1:40:43is officially open. The final result
- 1:40:47and the absolute winner of the great
- 1:40:49question will be announced on our
- 1:40:52digital platforms and in our next
- 1:40:54episode. And we can't leave without
- 1:40:58thanking our guest panelist, Víctor
- 1:41:00Canelo, who stood out not only for
- 1:41:02those tips, but also for his presence.
- 1:41:05Osmariel, how was the experience?
- 1:41:08>> I loved Víctor's participation; very
- 1:41:09spot-on and professional. I know the
- 1:41:12girls are going to take the best of
- 1:41:14tonight with them. Thank you, Víctor,
- 1:41:17for joining us, for bringing that touch
- 1:41:19of professionalism, and, of course,
- 1:41:21giving them what they need to grow and
- 1:41:24keep shining.
- 1:41:25>> And these are tips that not only the
- 1:41:27candidates take away; I, all of us, are
- 1:41:30taking them with us, and you at home
- 1:41:31too. Don't go away, keep watching every
- 1:41:35episode, because this is only the third
- 1:41:38chapter, the third challenge our
- 1:41:40candidates have been a part of. In the
- 1:41:43next chapter, we'll be back with more.
- 1:41:45This was Miss Venezuela, the challenge.
- 1:41:48We are Miss Venezuela.
