2. 0:04achieved half of those goals or they
3. 0:07have not even started working on those
4. 0:08goals. At the end of the day, it will
5. 0:11lead to discouragement which at the end
6. 0:12of the year they will end up not doing
7. 0:14anything. But then when you look at um
8. 0:18if you look well into some of those
9. 0:19people's life, it's almost like the same
10. 0:22thing that happen repeatedly on a yearly
11. 0:23basis. You know, they come up with a new
12. 0:25year resolution. Happy new year. This
13. 0:27year I'm going to do this. This year I'm
14. 0:28going to do that. they say I want to
15. 0:29stop this you know sometimes they write
16. 0:32it down all right
17. 0:34they write it down and at the end of the
18. 0:36day they will realize that you discover
19. 0:38that they don't achieve those goals
20. 0:41those expectations those dreams those
21. 0:43objective whether it is in their
22. 0:45academics or it is in their
23. 0:49uh finances or if it is in their their
24. 0:52life or maybe they want to learn a skill
25. 0:54or something or even in their family.
26. 0:57Now what is those reason? What's the
27. 1:00reason for that? Why don't they achieve
28. 1:02those goals? What's the reason? There
29. 1:04could be many reasons like a man of God
30. 1:06would say, but um one of the reason one
31. 1:10thing you must understand as a Christian
32. 1:12or as an individual is that you have a
33. 1:15whole lot of responsibility to your
34. 1:17destiny.
35. 1:19You have a whole lot of responsibility
36. 1:21to your destiny. Every man has a destiny
37. 1:23that God has called him into. I have a
38. 1:25destiny. You have a destiny. There's a
39. 1:28destiny that God has called you to
40. 1:30fulfill in this earth and you are
41. 1:32responsible for fulfilling that destiny.
42. 1:36So when the year comes in and the year
43. 1:38goes out and you don't achieve something
44. 1:40in line with that destiny, God is going
45. 1:42to hold you responsible. You are
46. 1:44responsible for it. What happens in your
47. 1:46life has a lot to do with you.
48. 1:50God has given you those things. God has
49. 1:52said this is what you need to do. This
50. 1:53is what you will become in life. This is
51. 1:55what God wants you to achieve this year.
52. 1:57This is what God wants to do in your
53. 1:59life or through you. For that to happen
54. 2:02is all depends on you.
55. 2:05Your decision, your words, your thoughts
56. 2:09are the structures of your mind.
57. 2:13So you decide what you will be this
58. 2:15year. You decide the things you're going
59. 2:17to do this year. This year you must make
60. 2:19sure that you you set apart a lot of
61. 2:22things. You must make sure that you set
62. 2:24your pace this year. You must make sure
63. 2:27that you are different. You achieve a
64. 2:30lot of different things that you've
65. 2:31never achieved in the previous years.
66. 2:34But for you to achieve that, your
67. 2:36decision is dependent on the structure
68. 2:38of your mind.
69. 2:40A man is is a representation
70. 2:45of the elements or let me not use the
71. 2:48word element of the state of his mind.
72. 2:51When you see someone, however someone
73. 2:53behaves, the behavior, the decision that
74. 2:55someone makes is all dependent of the
75. 2:58state of the mind of the man. Romans
76. 3:00chapter 12.
77. 3:03Hope you're getting me right.
78. 3:05>> Most of what you turn out to be in life
79. 3:07is dependent on the making of your mind.
80. 3:11Wherever you are today is as a result of
81. 3:14your mind. You are who you are today.
82. 3:17You are who you are what you are because
83. 3:19of the state of your mind. Because of
84. 3:21how you were thinking that's why you are
85. 3:23at this level now because of how the way
86. 3:26you your mind function
87. 3:29that's why you are the way you are now.
88. 3:32Romans chapter 12. All right. Even in
89. 3:34Matthew chapter 3 Jesus talked to his
90. 3:37disciples. Matthew chapter 3. Let's go
91. 3:38there. The scripture is Romans 12. But
92. 3:41let's go to Matthew 3:2. I'm going to be
93. 3:44reading from the amplified version.
94. 3:48Oh dear Lord Jesus, my mind is
95. 3:51sanctified.
96. 3:53Matthew chapter 3 verse 2. Even Jesus
97. 3:57said to his disciples, I'm going to
98. 3:59reading from the amplified.
99. 4:02Amplified. He said, "Why do you reason
100. 4:04this way?"
101. 4:06The reason why some people reason the
102. 4:08way they reason is because of the state
103. 4:09of their mind. Why do you reason this
104. 4:11way?
105. 4:14Jesus was rebuking his disciple. Why do
106. 4:16you people reason this way? That means
107. 4:18there's a way they ought to reason
108. 4:20because they are following him. Of
109. 4:22course, that was the early part. That
110. 4:24was the early stage of his work with the
111. 4:26disciples. Why do you reason? He had to
112. 4:28caution them. Why do you reason this
113. 4:30way?
114. 4:32Let's go to Romans chapter 12. Let's
115. 4:34take it from verse two. And be not
116. 4:37conformed to this world, but be ye
117. 4:39transformed by the renewing of your mind
118. 4:42that he may prove. What is that good and
119. 4:46acceptable and perfect will of God? Let
120. 4:49me read it from the amplified. All
121. 4:51right. So this is what amplified another
122. 4:53version of the Bible says. It breaks
123. 4:55down that English. All right. Verse two.
124. 4:58Amplified says, "But do not be conformed
125. 5:03to this world, this age, fashion after
126. 5:06the adapted to its external superficial
127. 5:10custom. But be it transformed. Be it
128. 5:14changed. All right. Still the amplified.
129. 5:16He said don't conform to this external
130. 5:18world, but be it transformed. Be it
131. 5:20changed by the entire renewal of your
132. 5:23mind. Renewal of your mind by its new
133. 5:27ideals and its new attitude so that you
134. 5:30may prove. So if you must achieve some
135. 5:33things this year that God has said, God
136. 5:35told us this year that this is our year
137. 5:37of manifestation. Those things that God
138. 5:39has set you to do this year that what he
139. 5:41wants to achieve through you this year,
140. 5:44your mind must be aligned with it, you
141. 5:47must be aligned with God's word. That
142. 5:50means your mind must not be with the way
143. 5:53the world thinks. You must not reason.
144. 5:57You can't reason the way the world
145. 5:58thinks or the way the world reason and
146. 6:01then you want to achieve what God wants
147. 6:02you to achieve this year.
148. 6:05You can't be thinking the way you used
149. 6:06to think previous year and you expect to
150. 6:08achieve a greater result this year. No.
151. 6:12A thousand times no. The NLT says this
152. 6:17is what NLT says. That's the New LIVING
153. 6:19TRANSLATION. DON'T COPY THE BEHAVIOR,
154. 6:21the customs of this world. Don't copy
155. 6:23it. He said, but let God transform you
156. 6:26into a new person by changing the way
157. 6:29you think. Whoa.
158. 6:32By changing the way you think, how do
159. 6:35you think? How do you reason?
160. 6:37Financially, academically,
161. 6:40spiritually,
162. 6:41how do you reason?
163. 6:43Because if your mind does not change,
164. 6:46you will not change.
165. 6:49If the state of your mind is not in line
166. 6:52with GOD'S WORD, YOU WILL NOT CHANGE.
167. 6:54YOU ARE THE product of your mind.
168. 6:59You are the product of the information
169. 7:00you have embibed in your mind. What are
170. 7:03the things that are in your mind? Your
171. 7:05mind is like a memory card. Your mind is
172. 7:08like a library
173. 7:10in a shelves. Your mind is like a memory
174. 7:12card. When you have a memory card, what
175. 7:14are the things in that memory card? WHAT
176. 7:17ARE THE THINGS YOU ARE DOWNLOADING INTO
177. 7:19your memory card? What are the things
178. 7:21you are putting in there? What are the
179. 7:23sites that you go to? Sometimes some
180. 7:25people download all kind of things. go
181. 7:27to any site and download virus into your
182. 7:29memory card and at the end of the day it
183. 7:31will not function very well and then it
184. 7:34will damage your memory card. Your mind
185. 7:36is like that. You have to be very
186. 7:38careful like what the Bible says uh
187. 7:40Proverbs 4:23. You have to protect your
188. 7:43mind. In a world where we are today, a
189. 7:46lot of informations are going on from
190. 7:47social media. You go to social media,
191. 7:49you are seeing a lot of things. You go
192. 7:51to your class, you you're hearing a lot
193. 7:53of things that are not praiseworthy.
194. 7:57You go to your friends in the host or
195. 7:59you're just hearing people just talking,
196. 8:00they seeing a lot of things. Romans
197. 8:02Proverbs 4:23. Let's read it together as
198. 8:05a church. One, two, go.
199. 8:12>> Let me read it from the ASV. This one
200. 8:14says, "Keep and guide your heart with
201. 8:16all vigilance,
202. 8:18vigilance,
203. 8:20and above it
204. 8:22that you guide it, for out of it flows
205. 8:26the springs of life."
206. 8:29Uh NLT says
207. 8:32guide your heart, protect your heart
208. 8:35above it all else for it determines the
209. 8:38course of your life. FOR WHATEVER YOU
210. 8:41BECOME IN LIFE, WHATEVER WILL BE YOUR
211. 8:43OUTCOME IN LIFE, it is in your hearts.
212. 8:47If you're going to be a success is in
213. 8:49your hearts. If you're going to be a
214. 8:51failure is in your hearts. Because you
215. 8:54see your heart if you don't guide it, it
216. 8:57will be like a soil, a field where it's
217. 9:00not planted. Anything can grow in there.
218. 9:03Unwanted plant life will just be growing
219. 9:04in there. That's how your heart is.
220. 9:06That's how your mind is. If you don't do
221. 9:09anything about it, anything will just be
222. 9:11coming into your heart and it will grow.
223. 9:14And once it grows in your heart, it will
224. 9:16show in your behavior. It will show in
225. 9:18your action. It will show in your
226. 9:20results. That means the things you
227. 9:22listen matters,
228. 9:25the words you hear, the things you hear.
229. 9:28Who do you listen to? A man of God told
230. 9:31us earlier this year, he said, "One of
231. 9:33the things you must do moving forward is
232. 9:36you have, you should be careful of who
233. 9:37you listen to. You should be intentional
234. 9:39who you listen to
235. 9:42because you can't be different
236. 9:45if you have been listening to something
237. 9:46different. Of course when you come to
238. 9:50church like this the word of God comes
239. 9:51to change transform you when what word
240. 9:54of God comes to you it comes to your
241. 9:55heart it change your mindset right but
242. 9:58then when you go outside you still hear
243. 9:59some other things the Bible says like
244. 10:02what Jesus said he said because of your
245. 10:04culture that's you see in Matthew
246. 10:06chapter 3 because of your culture you
247. 10:10have made the word of God unproductive
248. 10:12in your life why because when you
249. 10:15receive God's word they go out there
250. 10:17they hear other things and it makes the
251. 10:20word of God not to grow in their hearts.
252. 10:23Glory to God. That's why the Bible says
253. 10:24in that Proverbs chapter 4, he said you
254. 10:26should protect your hearts from the
255. 10:28things you hear. You should protect your
256. 10:30hearts from the things you see on social
257. 10:31media. Of course, a lot of us go on
258. 10:32social media because a lot of things
259. 10:34you'll be seeing. YOU SHOULD PROTECT
260. 10:35YOUR HEART FROM THE SONGS YOU LISTEN.
