Full transcript
- 0:15Welcome back. As you know, HubMeta has
- 0:18been working for around 8 years. The
- 0:20first version of HubMeta came online
- 0:23back in 2018. It is our great privilege
- 0:26that more than 6,000 researchers around
- 0:30the world have found HubMeta useful as
- 0:33part of their research and have been
- 0:36using it. So, many of you who are
- 0:38watching this video might have projects
- 0:40on the legacy platform that we had for
- 0:42HubMeta.
- 0:44The question that we keep getting asked
- 0:46is how do I transfer my projects from
- 0:49the old platform to the new? That's
- 0:51where the this step pull on board comes
- 0:55into play. How does that work? For this,
- 0:58you have to first get an export of your
- 1:01old projects in the legacy platform, get
- 1:05it as a file, and then bring it back
- 1:07here and import it. Let me do those
- 1:09steps with you here.
- 1:11So, what you need to do is to go to
- 1:14legacy.hubmeta.com.
- 1:18Here, you log in with your username
- 1:20password in the old platform, in the
- 1:24legacy platform. Naturally, you might
- 1:26not remember the password you have.
- 1:29There is a forgot your password function
- 1:31there. Use that. Just make sure that you
- 1:34have access to the email you have signed
- 1:37up with on the old platform. After this,
- 1:39you log in. This is just an export tool.
- 1:42This does not give you the whole legacy
- 1:45platform. These are all the projects,
- 1:48for example, that I had in the previous
- 1:50one. I will just pick one as an example.
- 1:54Like this one is one of my published
- 1:57meta-analyses. There are multiple ways
- 1:59that I can initiate an export here. The
- 2:02one that we need to bring it to the new
- 2:04platform is this one, export full
- 2:07project. This will create a process that
- 2:10takes anywhere between a few seconds to
- 2:12a few minutes.
- 2:14What this does it it will give you a dot
- 2:17hub meta file. Let me show you this file
- 2:20so you can see that it is project 1903
- 2:25.hub meta. Now, how do I bring it into
- 2:28this a new platform? I'm going to create
- 2:31a new project and go to pull and onboard
- 2:35and I will upload my .hub meta file
- 2:39here. Here it is. So, once that is
- 2:42uploaded, it will start processing that.
- 2:44It says how many articles were on it,
- 2:47how many samples, how many variables.
- 2:50Then it will go a step by step. So, our
- 2:53next step is to go to papers. We will
- 2:56export all the papers that were there.
- 3:00Right? So, you can uncheck any of these.
- 3:03Like if you only want some of the papers
- 3:05that you've had in the previous project.
- 3:09Then you go to taxonomy. These are the
- 3:12measurements, the constructs that you've
- 3:14had in the old project. You migrate
- 3:17taxonomy. It writes the taxonomy file
- 3:20for you. And then finally, you get to
- 3:22migrate data. These are the correlation
- 3:25tables and moderator variables and all
- 3:29that you had
- 3:30imported in the previous one. So, after
- 3:34it is successfully migrated, you can
- 3:36come back here
- 3:38and it takes again a few seconds to
- 3:41load, but after the project loads
- 3:43completely, you will see the articles as
- 3:47they appeared in the old project. To see
- 3:49your actual data, you will go to the
- 3:52library stage, and then you can click on
- 3:55the papers. You will see your
- 3:58correlation tables and all, just like
- 4:00you had it in the old platform. We will
- 4:03not get into the details of all of these
- 4:05pages. You can check our next videos on
- 4:08how all the other stages work.
- 4:11After this onboarding, there's no
- 4:14difference between a legacy project and
- 4:17a new project. So, you can continue
- 4:18watching the rest of our videos.
