- 0:27sanctuary where nobody knows me and I
- 0:29can be normal I'm a 57-year old guy
- 0:32who's not unlike the HT no kid gone off
- 0:35to college I don't have anything so uh I
- 0:40have to buy a couch I have to buy you
- 0:43know a refrigerator I have to her
- 0:45bed you know so it's kind of neat um
- 0:48everything's gonna be brand new what are
- 0:54the things that stand out to you in the
- 0:56last six months the thing that sticks
- 0:58out to me most these last six months is
- 1:06the quality of the people i'm around
- 1:08there was a man down in Houston he gave
- 1:11me a Chevy Tahoe I heard that yeah and
- 1:16there's a man who just got out of prison
- 1:18got exonerated named Ricky Wyatt and
- 1:21today he's driving that Chevy Tahoe I
- 1:24told him if he can pass it on when he
- 1:27can tell me about reuniting with your
- 1:29son
- 1:30ah my son and I we had a real quick
- 1:37handshake it morphed into a hug and that
- 1:38was you know I was nice but I looked
- 1:41down and I I noticed that while they
- 1:43weren't identical our shoes were very
- 1:45very similar so well you know
- 1:47coincidence and what upload hired as her
- 1:51pants were we're both wearing newish
- 1:53blue jeans you know and I looked it up a
- 1:56little higher to his shirt and they
- 1:58weren't the same but they were the same
- 2:00style and a very similar cut you said he
- 2:03didn't really get to grieve for Chris
- 2:04did grieve for the 25 years he lost
- 2:10no let me qualify that I I I didn't like
- 2:16losing my son
- 2:18um however my
- 2:23my return my spiritual return the the
- 2:27man I am today is because of that
- 2:31and I like where I am now obviously
- 2:36michael Morton a very spiritual man he
- 2:38credits his faith with carrying him
- 2:40through all of this although he says
- 2:41adamantly that he is not what he calls a
- 2:44penitentiary Christian instead he calls
- 2:46himself the prodigal son who returned
- 2:48tonight at six we are getting serious
- 2:50with Michael about his time in prison
- 2:52what he thinks about the justice system
- 2:54that put him there and exactly how he's
- 2:57trying to make sure this doesn't happen
- 2:58to anyone else
