0:00I'm Mark Ryan this is super review and
0:02this is the MZ audio lyric 2 as the name
0:07suggests it is a follow-up to the
0:09original lyric but what's kind of
0:10interesting is that the original lyric
0:12came out just about a year and a half
0:14ago and while in the IM space there's
0:16new stuff coming out all the time a year
0:18and a half between releases for a
0:21headphone let alone like a a premium
0:23headphone like this is actually kind of
0:25surprising it's actually interesting and
0:27in their literature they highlight
0:28specifically that they want to respond
0:30to community feedback about the original
0:33lyric so we've got the lyric to and
0:35that's what we're going to be talking
0:36about today now what's the
0:39same a whole lot to be honest it's still
0:42a closed-back planner magnetic headphone
0:44it's still kind of playing in the
0:45premium space so price-wise sit down
0:48this thing's 2,000 bucks uh and it's got
0:50still mostly the same build quality um
0:53form factor almost identical and I think
0:56that's actually a good thing because I
0:57really like that about the original but
0:59what's different
1:00that's what we're going to talk about in
1:01this video but not just the lyric versus
1:05the original lyric sorry the lyric 2
1:07versus the original lyric I've also been
1:09listening to this headphone versus some
1:10of the best closed-back headphones out
1:13there and that's what we're going to
1:14talk about today so I've been comparing
1:16this with the focal Radiance as well as
1:19the new Dan Clark audio E3 and we're
1:21going to talk about how I think the mes
1:24lyric 2 Compares with those in this
1:26video so I guess without further Ado a
1:29quick shout out to a audio by the way
1:30for sending this in for review I've got
1:32them linked down below if you want to
1:33check out the lyric to on their website
1:35otherwise let's dive in and talk about
1:38the physical stuff on this headphone
1:40before we get into talking about the
1:41sound the differences versus the lyri
1:43the original lyric and then how it
1:44Compares with those other closed back
1:46headphones so um yeah pH physical form
1:49factor let's just real quickly get the
1:51accessories out of the way uh this is
1:53the case that it comes with which is a
1:55very nice hard carry case mes always
1:57includes really nice cases with their
1:58headphones it even comes with that's
2:00right two packets of silica gel that's
2:03how you know it's premium um sorry to be
2:05a little factious there but uh it does
2:07also come with a couple of cables uh a
2:10little pouch here this is a very long
2:123.5 mm cable I did not use this CU I'm
2:14not a big fan of very long cables but
2:17what I am a fan of is this I think
2:20appropriately sized cable uh that they
2:22are now including as stock with the
2:25lyric 2 now this one came with a 4.4 mil
2:28but you can actually choose to have it
2:29in uh 3.5 I think even 6.5 maybe even
2:33some other stuff but um yeah generally
2:36this is actually a really nice cable
2:37that with the original lyric mes
2:40initially was selling it as a separate
2:42add-on uh and in my review of the
2:44headphone I actually said it would be
2:45nice if it included this and now here
2:48with the lyc 2 they are just including
2:50that stock in the Box um although I
2:52guess it is notable that for a couple
2:55well about a year after the initial
2:57release of the original lyric they did
2:59start including that cable so anyway um
3:03that is about as much as I can say about
3:05the accessories so I'll put the stuff to
3:07the side and let's dive in and talk
3:09about the headphone itself which like I
3:13already alluded to build form factor on
3:15this thing is very much the same as the
3:17original a couple of small tweaks which
3:19we'll highlight um but it's basically
3:22the same and for me that is a very very
3:24good thing because this is one of my
3:26favorite form factors for a headphone
3:28ever close back open back doesn't matter
3:30uh I love the build and the physical
3:33form factor of the original lyric so not
3:36changing anything is a good thing for me
3:38now the one thing that they did change
3:39here is on the ear cups in fact I will
3:42pull in the original lyric for a
3:44comparison you can see that they've
3:46swapped out basically here with the
3:47original they've got kind of like a a
3:49leather back on the the back of the ear
3:51cups and then here they've moved over to
3:53a wood face plate uh and that is a real
3:56wood as far as I can tell um and because
3:58of that all of the headphones are going
4:00to be a little bit more unique right I I
4:02was just at can jam in New York there
4:04were lyric twos all over the place and
4:06they all kind of looked a little bit
4:08different because they are using real
4:09wood and that's kind of a nice little
4:10touch now that said which of these looks
4:13do I actually personally like better I'm
4:15kind of split on it I don't know that
4:17this is necessarily an improvement I
4:18don't think it's also necessarily worse
4:20but I do I do kind of like the matte
4:24black aesthetic here of the original
4:26what do you guys think if you're if

4:31review um apart from that again same
4:34stuff so let me put that guy aside and
4:36we'll just highlight why I like this
4:37headphone so much so build quality on
4:39this thing is fantastic the materials
4:41and stuff are all really nice the pads
4:44are a protein leather so not a real
4:46leather um but they are nonetheless
4:49quite nice let me yeah I give it the
4:51smell test just to make sure but I'm
4:53pretty sure that's not a real leather
4:54they are a little bit soft here on the
4:56inside I think that just has to do with
4:58the uh the tuning characteristics and
5:01then uh as you can see there are you
5:04know or there's there's plenty of depth
5:05in here for an ear and I'll give you a
5:06fit test in a little bit um to talk
5:08about the Comfort but yeah just really
5:10nice materials obviously we've got the
5:12wood plates here this is what looks like
5:14a um I don't know aluminum or magnesium
5:17outer shell really nice lightweight
5:19metal and what's kind of nice about this
5:21headphone is that unlike a lot of um
5:24especially like the premium planar
5:26headphones this thing is not especially
5:27heavy I wouldn't say it's like a super
5:29light headphone
5:30but this is definitely something that I
5:31would be comfortable wearing out and
5:33about uh taking this thing on a plane uh
5:35you're not going to have any issues with
5:37weight at least I don't think so um yeah
5:40really nice headband you can see it's
5:42nice and wide and they've even got some
5:44nice padding on the inside which I don't
5:47know it's
5:48just it's a really really well done
5:51design and I think aesthetically it also
5:53works quite well for my taste now the
5:55ear cups do swivel completely forward
5:58and backwards so you can kind of sit it
5:59down whichever way you like to uh for me
6:02I like this because it means that I can
6:04wear this thing around my neck and
6:05hopefully I don't play microphone too
6:06much I can wear this thing around my
6:08neck and fold the cups inward rather
6:10than having them stick out and like be a
6:13problem with my you know giveing me like
6:15a Robocop neck or anything like that so
6:18um yeah generally really dig that now I
6:20don't have a cable attached to these
6:21right now we did Cover the cable but
6:23just to highlight this is not a
6:24Bluetooth headphone for anyone who might
6:26think it is uh you do have to have a
6:28cable attached to it and they do have
6:29have a little bit of an angle on the
6:32cable see if I can pull this out so you
6:34can kind of see that the cable is going
6:35to be sticking out a little bit forward
6:37when it is connected uh and that just
6:39means that there's less chance of the
6:41cable kind of interfering and hitting
6:42your shoulders while you're wearing it
6:44and I guess on that note let's talk
6:46about what this thing is like to wear uh
6:48and the first thing that's going to
6:49stand out to me as I'm putting this on
6:51my head is that the isolation of this
6:53thing is actually really really pretty
6:55strong uh For Better or Worse like
6:56depending on what you're trying to do if
6:57you're trying to do a live stream in
6:59these these headphones I would say the
7:01isolation is actually not so much a good
7:03thing because it's kind of muffling my
7:05own voice maybe I'm talking louder I
7:07don't know uh it's excluding my voice in
7:08a way that I don't like to do to do when
7:11I'm talking um but if you're on an
7:14airplane you're out in public you're
7:15just sitting in an office and you want
7:17to close out the background sound this
7:18does a really good job of it obviously
7:20other close back headphones are a good
7:22option um but honestly I find that Clos
7:24back isolation is kind of Hit or Miss um
7:27not every Clos back isolates as well as
7:31you might think but the lyric to and as
7:33well with the original lyric I think is
7:35one of the headphones that isolates
7:36quite quite well like it gives me a
7:38really good seal and as you can see it's
7:39covering my ear top to bottom front to
7:41back um plenty of room inside there for
7:44my ear and just really dig it and you
7:47see it's like not especially bulky I
7:48mean it's bulkier than like a a Sony xm5
7:51or something like that but compared to
7:53some other premium headphones out there
7:55I think they really did it quite nice
7:57what a balance um all right is there
8:00anything else I should be guessing about
8:01the build on this thing I don't think so
8:03but let me just check my notes real
8:05quick I guess the one thing all right
8:07I'll I'll give a couple of minor
8:09complaints about this
8:10one it can be a little bit on the clampy
8:13side I don't actually have a problem
8:14with it but if you are sensitive to a
8:16clampy headphone this is more clampy
8:17than some others um but not like it's I
8:21would say on the clamp level of
8:23something like a Sennheiser HD 650 U
8:25which for me is not a problem uh the
8:28other thing I will highlight this is I
8:30know a small complaint for sure but the
8:32adjusters are on these little rails that
8:35are just friction adjusted right and
8:37it's a nice firm friction so it holds in
8:40place pretty well except when I am
8:42moving these things in and out like this
8:44and this mostly happens when I'm taking
8:45the headphone on and off what I find is
8:48that over time the adjusters do tend to
8:51slide their way upward so that I
8:53frequently when I wear this thing I'll
8:54have to put it on my head and then just
8:55kind of come up here and double check
8:57where the adjusters are again it is
8:59pretty stiff and it holds in place for
9:01the most part but the more that I take
9:03them off and do this this sort of motion
9:06um the more that the adjusters will kind
9:08of gradually work themselves upward um
9:12yeah I guess it would be kind of nice to
9:13have some little detents in there or
9:14something but you know trade-offs all
9:18right so that is going to do it I think
9:20for the physical form factor on this
9:22headphone so let's punch in and talk
9:25about the sound here on the mes lyric
9:282 and uh I guess before I get into
9:31describing specifically the sound here
9:32I'm going to talk about the sound on the
9:33original
9:35lyric how because we're going to use
9:37this as like a baseline talk about how
9:39the lyric 2 is different um and then
9:43Better or Worse we we'll cover that all
9:45right so the original sound here I would
9:47describe as kind of a midy tuning like
9:49it's a little bit mid forward um it's
9:52got some base emphasis to it but overall
9:55the tuning I find get it puts the
9:57mid-range pretty forward and sometimes a
9:59little bit of an unnatural way um gives
10:02it kind of like this low contrast almost
10:05soft sound uh it does also come across
10:07you know it's an easy listen for the
10:10most part um but if I had con criticism
10:13about that kind of soft sound is that it
10:15can come across a little bit congested
10:17the Imaging is really pretty pretty
10:19mediocre on this headphone which to be
10:21fair it is pretty Med mediocre on most
10:24closed back headphones um but yeah the
10:26Imaging is not really stand out here and
10:28while I did describe it as mostly an
10:30easy listening headphone because of that
10:32really for and mid-range tune the
10:34trouble can with certain tracks be a
10:36little bit of a problem especially it
10:38had like sibilance issues that I can
10:40very reliably reproduce on this
10:42headphone using the cures disintegration
10:44album if you want to hear what I'm
10:45talking about check out that album it's
10:47a good album also by the way um so let's
10:49talk about the lyric 2 what's different
10:53uh honestly I think that they
10:55successfully solve the problems that I
10:56just described with the original lyric
10:58which again the original lyrics biggest
11:00problems for me were being that okay
11:02it's a little bit sient but also maybe
11:04most importantly it's just kind of
11:06congested and one note sounding it
11:08doesn't have very strong Imaging the
11:10lyric too does the the Imaging on this
11:12thing is much improved very
11:14significantly improved um and I they did
11:18they've done it with a a tuning I don't
11:20know if I want to get too much into the
11:21graphs if you want to check out the
11:22graphs I do have them up on Squig link
11:25I've got that Linked In the description
11:26down below you can check them out
11:29um but what I think you can see in the
11:31graphs and you can definitely hear is
11:32that the sound here on the lyric 2 is a
11:35much contrasti sound you could call it a
11:37more v-shaped sound signature where
11:39there's going to be more emphasis on the
11:40Bas um the mid-range is a little bit
11:42more normally tuned whereas again on the
11:44L the original lyric kind of like this
11:46low contrast overly forward mid-range um
11:49I think this is a little bit better
11:51balanced and then the treble is still a
11:53little bit on the forward side which I
11:55think contributes to that again more
11:58contrasty um slightly v-shaped sound
12:01signature um but yeah generally just
12:03again the Imaging is significantly
12:06significantly improved on this headphone
12:08and that ends up making it I think a lot
12:10more fun to listen to now is it as easy
12:13to listen to as the original lyric I
12:16think not I think it's not quite the
12:18same laidback soft easy presentation
12:22it's just more engaging uh exciting and
12:25maybe
12:26fatiguing situation here um I will say
12:29though while I'm talking about the
12:31fatigue specifically the the the lyric 2
12:33actually handles siblin significantly
12:35better which is interesting um all right
12:38anything else I wanted to talk about
12:39okay I did want to mention that the base
12:41here on the lyric to is quite standout
12:44uh in fact of all the closed-back
12:46headphones that I was listening to in
12:47this comparison I found the base to be
12:50the best here on the ly 2 it just it
12:53it's a nice it's a very solid base shelf
12:56um it hits really quick like it's really
12:58it's really um clear in its attack but
13:01maybe even more importantly or more
13:03stand outy is the uh the follow through
13:06it digs really deep um it's a really
13:08articulate subbase and really satisfying
13:11if you're listening to music that has
13:12really strong subbase content um it's
13:15not necessarily the punchiest of the
13:17bases of and we'll talk about how it
13:19Compares uh head-to-head with some of
13:20the others um but when it comes to just
13:22being really clean and articulate and I
13:25think pretty satisfying I I I really
13:27like the base here on on the lyric 2 uh
13:31the downside here on the lyric 2 is that
13:34I found the treble to still be while you
13:36know again I think that they did
13:38significantly improve the performance
13:40with siblings I did find the trouble
13:42here oddly crashy um and it's kind of I
13:46know words for describing audio I I I
13:49certainly feel like I'm deficient I
13:50think everyone's a little bit deficient
13:52in this but the the the the word that
13:54comes to mind as I'm listening to the
13:55treble on this thing is a little bit
13:57crashy so if you're listening to things
13:59like um high hats or tambourines they
14:02can just come across a little bit a
14:04little bit strident a little bit harsh a
14:06little bit crunchy in their presentation
14:08here on the lyric too I don't know that
14:10it's necessarily worse performing versus
14:13the original lyric but versus some of
14:14the others again we'll get into how it
14:16Compares with those others specifically
14:18um but that is I think a thing that uh
14:21can limit long-term listening here on
14:23the set now what's interesting about
14:25that
14:26crash is that I actually got used to it
14:29after a while uh and this is sort of a
14:31thing that I think you know there people
14:33talk about burn in in headphones a lot
14:35of the times my suspicion is that brain
14:38burning is a much more significant
14:40factor than things like driver burning
14:43or anything like that but nonetheless
14:46when I was listening to this thing for a
14:47couple of hours eventually I was like
14:49you know what the treble actually isn't
14:50as harsh as it as it seemed to be when I
14:54first started listening to it and so I
14:55just kind of went about my my day
14:57enjoying it and then started listening
14:59to some other stuff and when I came back
15:01to the lyric 2 that crashing that
15:03crunchiness it came back so it's
15:05definitely not disappearing because of a
15:07driver burning or anything like that
15:09it's definitely a brain burning sort of
15:11situation um but nonetheless I guess
15:14what my point is to say that while the
15:16trouble can be a little bit on the
15:17crunchy side and kind of unnatural and
15:20it can screw with I think the tamber of
15:23high frequency percussion stuff it is
15:25the sort of thing that I can get used to
15:27so uh
15:29you can probably get used to it as well
15:31um yeah all right anything else to
15:34mention okay one last thing to talk
15:36about in this comparison real quick is
15:38that it is notable that the LC 2 is
15:41actually significantly harder to drive
15:44versus the original lyric now it's not
15:45like massively hard to drive um in fact
15:48I'm still running this thing off my
15:49MacBook no problem I have like an M1
15:52MacBook Air so it's not even an
15:53especially powerful source so I don't
15:56mean to freak anybody out there but if
15:58you are used to the easy to drive nature
16:00of the original lyric just note that the
16:02lyric 2 is going to be I'm going to say
16:05like four to five maybe even six DB
16:07quieter at the same volume levels versus
16:10the original lyric and that's
16:11interesting okay anything else I want to
16:14mention I don't think so so let's get
16:16into comparing this versus some other
16:18headphones
16:19and first
16:21up let's talk about let move this cable
16:24out the way this is the focal Radiance
16:28all right all right this is fal's I
16:30don't know if it's their it's not quite
16:31their top ofthe line close back cuz they
16:33still got the stellia and I think
16:34they're still selling that thing but
16:36that guy's a little bit long on the
16:37tooth the the radiance here that we've
16:39got is a lot more modern and now the
16:41price on this thing is quite a bit lower
16:43than the LC I think this goes for about
16:45$1,000 um depending on whether or not
16:48it's on sale
16:50but it is nonetheless um kind of like
16:54the the best that focal has in the
16:56closed back area all right all right so
16:59um I'll just go through my notes real
17:01quick on how I think these things
17:02compare in terms of form factor and
17:03stuff like that I definitely prefer the
17:05the mes um I just love everything about
17:09it whereas here I'll give you a fit
17:10demonstration of the focal uh isolation
17:13on this thing actually pretty good too I
17:15might have it on backward no that was
17:17yep that was backward
17:19um isolation still pretty good but the
17:22general form factor and build on r or on
17:25uh focals I'm not a big fan of like I
17:27want the cups to kind of come a little
17:28bit closer together they're just a
17:30little bit awkward to hold um and it's
17:32also a little bit creaky and clacky but
17:35um aesthetically you certainly make up
17:37your own mind I personally think they're
17:40both actually really nice looking
17:41headphones um but in terms of sound
17:43let's talk about that I will say that
17:45the radiance which is interesting
17:47because this one is the dynamic driver
17:48versus the MZ which is the planar driver
17:52I think the radiance actually comes
17:53across a little bit more Plucky and
17:55metallic sounding which I think is sort
17:56of a tamber description that people
17:58people more often describ to um planer
18:02headphones rather than Dynamics but
18:04nonetheless that is the impression that
18:06I get listening to this guy um I will
18:08say that I think the base on this and I
18:10mentioned the the base on the lyric is
18:13really satisfying but maybe not super
18:16Punchy whereas I think that the base on
18:18the radiance does better with that punch
18:20it does better with sort of that leading
18:22uh that leading attack Edge on things
18:24like kick drums and stuff like that so
18:26you feel it a little bit more but I
18:28think that the off is that you don't
18:29feel sort of the deep down Rumble quite
18:31as well so I do I do overall actually
18:34like the bass better on the lyric too um
18:39anything else I'm checking my notes I
18:40actually had some comparisons with this
18:42versus fow's other clothesback which is
18:44the celesty and what's interesting is
18:46that this and the celesty like graph
18:49almost identical but the listening
18:50impression is quite a bit different I
18:52think that the radience comes across a
18:54lot contrasti more v-shaped sound
18:56signature kind of similar honestly to
18:59uh the lyric in that sense um but I
19:04would say that this actually comes
19:05across a little bit crunchier even than
19:07the lyric so for my listening tastes I
19:11actually I prefer the lyric too um the
19:13the radiance is pretty satisfying it's
19:15pretty fun but I don't know it's a
19:17little bit too crunchy in that treble
19:19region whereas the lyric 2 also I would
19:22describe as being a little bit on the
19:23crunchy side uh it just it ends up being
19:26a more satisfying sound overall so that
19:28will be my comparison there but we've
19:31got one more close back to pull in and
19:33that is this bad boy which is the Dan
19:35Clark audio E3 that's right it folds up
19:38like that so um I guess a quick tour of
19:41the build quality on this guy I think
19:44this headphone is kind of ugly I will be
19:45honest I am not a big fan of the way
19:47this thing looks but I do really like
19:49the way that Dan Clark does their
19:51headband design right see how it
19:53collapses like that which is kind of
19:54neat gives it kind of a a little bit of
19:56a portable credibility although this is
19:59the hardest to drive headphone that I've
20:00got here on the table by far I mentioned
20:02that the mes lyric 2 is significantly
20:05harder to drive than the original well
20:06this gu is I would say even more harder
20:08to drive than this guy but still I can
20:11drive it off my MacBook I'll be honest
20:13so maybe making a mountain out of a mole
20:16hill uh and then I guess I'll give you a
20:18fit demonstration because I did it with
20:20the radiance but this is what the E3
20:22looks like on my head got fingerprint
20:25smudges that's embarrassing um but yeah
20:27uh much bigger cups these are the
20:29biggest cups of the bunch um and also
20:32gives me a really strong
20:34seal also really good isolation so Stand
20:37Out points for isolation on all of these
20:40headphones um but yeah uh okay I guess
20:43one last point I Dan Clark whatever
20:46you're doing with these connectors keep
20:49doing it these connectors fraking rule
20:51all right um let's talk about the sound
20:53uh the here's I'll be honest so I
20:55actually asked my buddy Scott Pledger
20:57Scott if you're watching thank you very
20:59much uh if I could borrow this headphone
21:01cuz I knew he had this headphone and I
21:02knew this thing was at about the same
21:03price as the lyric $2,000 planer
21:07magnetic headphone also kind of new on
21:09the market earlier this year seemed like
21:11a really good headphone to compare but
21:12I'll be honest going into this I wasn't
21:16I didn't have that high of hopes for
21:17this headphone because I've previously
21:20heard things like the Dan Clark audio
21:21stealth and even the expanse and I
21:23didn't really love the sound of those
21:26headphones so this one coming in at half
21:28the price of those headphones um I don't
21:30know I just I figured I would I would
21:33check it out and make it a comparison
21:34just to to to say I did it but didn't
21:37have high hopes that said I think this
21:39thing sounds phenomenal I'm actually
21:41blown away with the sound here on The
21:43Dan Clark E3 now it is a very different
21:46sound than the lyric but listening to
21:49the right music I think honestly it's
21:51kind of not close I much prefer the
21:53sound here on the E3 although there
21:55might be some reasons why you might
21:56prefer the lyric um all right so let's
21:59describe tonality I would say that the
22:01the the presentation here on the E3 is
22:03much more vocal forward all right um and
22:05I know I kind of describe this as uh or
22:08the original lyric as more vocal forward
22:10than this and this was better because it
22:12wasn't that um but this I think is more
22:15vocal forward in a better way like it
22:18doesn't give me kind of that low
22:20contrast almost honky sound of the lyric
22:23it just sounds like really really clear
22:26crispy presentation of vocals and if you
22:29like that kind of content you like that
22:31music that does that I'm thinking like
22:33specifically cigarettes after sex the
22:35way that it sounds on this headphone
22:37is phenomenal and I don't just mean
22:39phenomenal for a closed back headphone
22:41which honestly is a caveat I usually
22:43have to make what I'm describing Clos
22:44back headphones and how much I like them
22:46is well compared to an open back
22:48headphone I wouldn't say those same
22:49things but this thing honestly sounds
22:51just I don't care that it's closed back
22:53it just sounds phenomenal the the the
22:56mid-range and the treble on this guy are
22:58just to die for um the trouble's really
23:00smooth the mids have this really
23:02outstanding micro contrast and texturing
23:05um the only downside is that I did find
23:07with specifically again I was listening
23:09to the cures disintegration album that
23:11the guitars on um if you're listening to
23:14uh uh pictures of you is the track the
23:17guitars on that could come across a
23:18little bit glary on this and I think
23:20maybe because of that tuning being a
23:22little bit uh vocal and lower treble
23:24forward could come across a little bit
23:27irritating in a way that the lyric 2
23:29didn't do um but nonetheless just
23:32overall I found this thing much more
23:34satisfying if you're looking for again
23:36that vocal contact Contra content micro
23:40contrast um and really just pulling out
23:42kind of like a a rich satisfying
23:44presentation in in vocals
23:48um uh the base on the E3 I would say is
23:50not as nice as the base
23:52on the lyric it comes across a little
23:55bit droning and it's not especially
23:57forward it's a little bit on the anemic
23:58side actually I would say in terms of
24:00the the balance again this is more
24:01mid-range and treble focused balance um
24:04but what base is there it does come
24:06across just like really kind of soft
24:07droning almost in a I don't want to say
24:10it's like the the the Sennheiser
24:12hd600 base but it's kind of reminds me
24:15of that just like the the the softness
24:17in the attack um and because there's a
24:20little bit more of it versus the hd600 I
24:23think that becomes a little bit more
24:25apparent in the mix um so not the best
24:27part of the E3 but overall I really did
24:32like this guy a lot now how I would
24:34compare these how I'd make a decision
24:35between these if you are deciding for
24:37yourself I would say that the lyric is
24:38the more fun headphone all right if
24:40you're looking for a more instantly
24:41engaging satisfying uh really nice base
24:45headphone I think that's the MZ lyric if
24:47you're looking for fantastic vocal
24:50presentation in a way that like not just
24:53as good for a closed-back headphone but
24:55really is standout for a lot of
24:57headphones that's the Dan Clark E3 and
25:00if you want both of them well you
25:02probably I I don't know you get to buy
25:04both headphones I guess that doesn't
25:05sound like a great like a great answer
25:09but the treble is definitely comes
25:11across a little bit Crasher here whereas
25:13apart from that glare and the guitars
25:15that I got with the Cure really no
25:18issues with the treble on this guy
25:19really super smooth easy to listen to
25:22fantastic
25:23microcontrast and I think that will do
25:25it for my thoughts here on these
25:28headphones all right let's get into the
25:31final
25:32conclusion of the mes audio lyric tun
25:35I'll be honest this is actually kind of
25:36a difficult one for me to score
25:38because one I enjoyed it two I have some
25:42problems with it and three this is kind
25:44of not the the mz's fault I just feel
25:46like I've been I've been a little bit
25:48too lenient with my stars lately and I'm
25:51feeling a little bit of pressure um so I
25:53think out of five stars the mes lyric 2
25:55I'm going to give this a very solid
25:57three stars out of five and this could
25:59have been potentially a fourstar but
26:01honestly that treble tamber is I think a
26:03pretty significant issue it will
26:05significantly reduce my usage of this
26:08headphone but if I'm listening to the
26:09right music that doesn't have
26:11tambourines and high hats in it
26:12specifically like this guy just a lot of
26:15fun it fits beautifully it brings the
26:17Imaging that the original lyric missed
26:20and um yeah if you can get used to those
26:22trouble issues this just ends up being a
26:24really nice fun closed back um but like
26:28most Clos backs out there it's not
26:30without some issues and that's going to
26:31do it for my thoughts here on the MZ
