2. 0:14a keen endurance runner took part in the
3. 0:171994 sahara marathon in morocco
4. 0:20partway through the six-day 233
5. 0:23kilometers event the sandstorm caused
6. 0:25moro to lose his way he ended up
7. 0:27disoriented and ran in the wrong
8. 0:29direction ultimately running several
9. 0:31hundred kilometers into algeria
10. 0:33territory after 24 hours he ran out of
11. 0:37food and water he arrived at an
12. 0:39abandoned muslim shrine with the corpse
13. 0:41of a holy man in it and survived by
14. 0:44drinking his own urine he found bats on
15. 0:47the low ceilings which he decapitated
16. 0:49and then ate the guts and drank the
17. 0:50blood from and he waited for rescue a
18. 0:53helicopter and a plane passed but they
19. 0:56failed to see him
20. 0:57not wishing to die a long drawn-out
21. 0:59death prosperi attempted to get done the
22. 1:02attempt failed lack of water had caused
23. 1:05prosperi's blood to thicken and
24. 1:06ultimately clotted the wound he then
25. 1:09regained his composure and followed a
26. 1:11tuareg's advice prior to the start of
27. 1:13the race to set his compass in the

29. 1:16walk towards them he walked in the
30. 1:19desert and ate reptiles insects and
31. 1:21cacti from dried wadies before stumbling
32. 1:24on an oasis with a footprint next to it
33. 1:27and then some goats and then a little
34. 1:29girl who ran away towards a tent with
35. 1:31women in it who gave him goats milk and
36. 1:33laid him in the shade outside after nine
37. 1:36days alone in the desert he was found
38. 1:38and taken to an algerian military camp
39. 1:41and from there to a hospital he was 186
40. 1:44miles of route and had lost 18 kilograms
41. 1:47in body weight he received a hero's
42. 1:50welcome back home in italy and media
