Full transcript
- 0:00well you know we talked to a lot of
- 0:01people for uh my film what is aw woman
- 0:03which is streaming now exclusively on
- 0:04The Daily wire and you go to what isw
- 0:06woman.com and get signed up and you can
- 0:08watch the film right now many of the
- 0:11conversations we had were
- 0:12unintentionally hilarious many were
- 0:14disturbing veering significantly over to
- 0:16the disturbing end of the spectrum is my
- 0:18interview with Dr Michelle forcier who
- 0:21is as you'll hear her proudly identify
- 0:23herself a gender affirming pediatrician
- 0:25and also an abortionist uh we flew up to
- 0:28Providence Rhode Island to speak with Dr
- 0:30forcier she was you know friendly enough
- 0:33at first and what we found in many of
- 0:36the interviews that you'll see in what
- 0:38is a woman is that gender ideologues are
- 0:41very polite and
- 0:43nice right up until the moment when you
- 0:46express any skepticism at all but before
- 0:50we get to that point um where things
- 0:51really start to sort of fall apart let's
- 0:53get to know Michelle a little bit watch
- 1:00my name is Michelle forier um and I have
- 1:03a medical degree from University of
- 1:05Connecticut residency University of Utah
- 1:07Pediatrics and I've worked for a number
- 1:09of different plant Parenthood for 20
- 1:12years I do Advanced contraception and
- 1:14abortion as well as gender hormones and
- 1:16sort of looking at the whole sort of
- 1:18schema of gender sex and and
- 1:20reproductive um justice so you've done a
- 1:22lot of work in this field could you just
- 1:23start by telling us sure uh at what age
- 1:27can a child first
- 1:30begin to transition into another gender
- 1:33or identify themselves as a gender
- 1:36different from how they were born yeah
- 1:38well I mean there's there's research and
- 1:40data that show that um babies and
- 1:42infants um understand differences in
- 1:44gender some children figure out their
- 1:48gender really early and the reason why
- 1:51we are say oh that's that's interesting
- 1:53or important is because they're figuring
- 1:55out their gender identity is not
- 1:57necessarily congruent with their sex
- 1:59assigned birth when the when the doctor
- 2:01sees the penis and says this is a male
- 2:04has the sex of male that's a
- 2:07arbitrary distinction telling that
- 2:10family based on that little penis that
- 2:14your child is absolutely 100% male
- 2:17identified no matter what else occurs in
- 2:20their life that's not correct so what is
- 2:23gender affirmation care you're a big
- 2:25proponent of if we walk through a child
- 2:28is sitting down with you is questioning
- 2:30yeah their gender what's the gender
- 2:32affirmation process affirmation means
- 2:35that as a pediatrician as someone who
- 2:37says my job is to provide the best
- 2:39medical care for you is I need to listen
- 2:43really carefully and how I put it in
- 2:45words for kids so that they can
- 2:47understand it is tell me your story
- 2:50where have you been in terms of your
- 2:51gender and your gender identity where
- 2:53you right now and more excitingly where
- 2:57would you like to be in the future have
- 3:00you ever met a
- 3:02four-year-old who believes in Santa
- 3:05Claus so this is someone who believes
- 3:08that a fat man is traveling through the
- 3:11sky and a flying reindeer at lightning
- 3:13speed coming down his chimney with
- 3:14presents yeah would you say that this is
- 3:17someone who maybe has a tenuous grasp on
- 3:19reality they have an appropriate
- 3:21four-year-old handle on the reality
- 3:23that's very real for them agreed agreed
- 3:25but Santa Claus is real for them but
- 3:27Santa Claus is not actually real yeah
- 3:29well but Santa Claus does deliver their
- 3:31Christmas presents well yeah but he's
- 3:33not real though to that child they are
- 3:37when I see a child who you know believes
- 3:39in Santa Claus and then let's say this
- 3:41is a boy and he says I'm a girl mhm this
- 3:44is someone who can't distinguish between
- 3:46fantasy and reality so how could you
- 3:48take
- 3:50that as a reality I would say that as a
- 3:54pediatrician and as a parent I would say
- 3:57how wonderful my four-year-old in their
- 3:58imagination is you know one of the
- 4:00hardest things as we did this film uh
- 4:02especially in interviewing
- 4:04somebody like
- 4:06that is uh not like my instinct just to
- 4:09yell at them to to begin with but that's
- 4:12not what the it's kind of a short film
- 4:15if it's just me going around yelling at
- 4:16people the objective here is to ask
- 4:18questions and that's and that's uh all
- 4:21we did through the whole film is just is
- 4:22just uh is ask
- 4:24questions and let gender ideology
- 4:27essentially hang itself is the idea and
- 4:30uh and and to show is this something
- 4:33that can
- 4:34withstand scrutiny or not even just
- 4:38basic scrutiny and what we discovered is
- 4:40that it can't so what's happening in
- 4:41that exchange is first of all she says
- 4:44uh talking about a child who who sits
- 4:46down with her is uh she wants to know
- 4:49about their gender journey and where
- 4:52would you like to be in the future so
- 4:53she's talking about a child's like
- 4:55five-year gender plan but the point I
- 4:58was trying to get across to her is that
- 5:01children don't have a grasp on reality I
- 5:03mean even if in theory people could
- 5:05choose their own gender which they can't
- 5:08but if they
- 5:09could it wouldn't make sense to say that
- 5:12a child could choose it children believe
- 5:14in Santa Claus so like what do they know
- 5:16about
- 5:17reality if a if a child is four years
- 5:20old and believes that not only Santa
- 5:22Claus is real but that fairies and
- 5:24dragons and it lives appropriately in
- 5:26this kind of fantasy world and then the
- 5:29boy says that I'm a
- 5:31girl that claim exists within the same
- 5:35fantasy world this is just imagination
- 5:37this is a kid who just doesn't doesn't
- 5:39understand the distinction between
- 5:40fantasy in reality um so how can they
- 5:43make these determinations but then again
- 5:45as as we as found there Michelle
- 5:47wouldn't even affirm that Santa doesn't
- 5:49exist so I that was I was unclear about
- 5:50that also like are you do you actually
- 5:53think that Santa exists what's happening
- 5:55but it's it's as you're talking to these
- 5:58people it's like your own you feel
- 5:59yourself going slightly insane so it was
- 6:02a pretty bewildering exchange there but
- 6:04it only gets weirder from here let's
- 6:06keep watching male gametes that's what
- 6:09makes me male no your your sperm don't
- 6:11make you male then what does it's a
- 6:14constellation in reality in truth okay
- 6:19whose truth are we talking about the
- 6:20same truth that says we're sitting in
- 6:22this room right now you and I no you're
- 6:24not listening if I if I see a chicken
- 6:26laying eggs and I say that's a female
- 6:27chicken laying eggs did I assign female
- 6:29or am I just observing a physical
- 6:31reality that's happening in the world
- 6:33does a chicken have gender identity does
- 6:34a chicken cry does a chicken commit
- 6:37suicide let's frame it because you're
- 6:40talking you're trying chicken has sex
- 6:42like any like any biological organism
- 6:44has an assigned gender but a chicken
- 6:46doesn't have a gender identity so we
- 6:48assign female to chickens when they lay
- 6:50eggs that's a we assume they're female
- 6:51if they lay eggs that right there will
- 6:54go down for me
- 6:56as maybe one of the most probably and
- 7:00every other thing make that makes it on
- 7:01this particular list also happen in the
- 7:03film but certainly one of the most
- 7:04outrageous uh exchanges I've ever had
- 7:07with anybody and of course see this this
- 7:10is what happens when you start asking
- 7:12questions to to the to the gender to the
- 7:14proponent of gender ideology is um they
- 7:17you know they start they end up backing
- 7:20themselves into various corners and they
- 7:21have to make um increasingly more wild
- 7:26sort of claims to get themselves out of
- 7:28the corners that they've backed
- 7:29themselves eles into and so when you're
- 7:31talking about sex for example like it's
- 7:35all on a spectrum and sex is something
- 7:38that is as she says in in our
- 7:40conversation she says that sex is a
- 7:42assigned at Birth that just like doctors
- 7:46are just deciding this kind of
- 7:50arbitrarily well if that's the nature of
- 7:53sex then what about other organisms
- 7:56aside from human beings okay we would
- 7:58also say that a when a chicken is laying
- 8:00eggs oh well that's a female chicken are
- 8:02we assigning that is that is that is
- 8:04that just something we've decided that
- 8:06the chicken is female or is the chicken
- 8:09female and if the chicken is female then
- 8:12that would tell us something about the
- 8:13nature of biological sex which is that
- 8:14it's not a signed it is observed but she
- 8:17can't go along with that and so she
- 8:19starts talking about the chickens gender
- 8:20identity and whether chickens commit
- 8:22suicide um and it doesn't get much
- 8:24better from there well last week Kim
- 8:26Kardashian announced her new role as
- 8:28chief tast consultant for beyond meat an
- 8:31alternative meat maker according to a
- 8:33Bloomberg report this is a lasti effort
- 8:36for the company survival having seen an
- 8:3780% Plunge in shares of the last 12
- 8:39months they say quote Kim's ability to
- 8:41raise a company's profile would be
- 8:43welcome for beyond meat which is working
- 8:45to tame waning consumer curiosity about
- 8:48its products I shouldn't have to say
- 8:50this but I will um fake meat is gross
- 8:53and eating fake meat is not going to
- 8:55save the environment also it's a fitting
- 8:57that a fake meat company would make the
- 8:59fakest person on the planet they Chief
- 9:00Tastee consultant so there's a little
- 9:01bit of uh some Symmetry and poetry there
- 9:04I don't like fake things I I like the
- 9:05real deal that's why I've officially
- 9:07declared myself The Unofficial Chief
- 9:10taste consultant for good ranchers the
- 9:12meat company that delivers only 100%
- 9:14real American Meat and for my first act
- 9:17as Chief taste consultant I want to tell
- 9:19you about good ranchers latest promotion
- 9:21right now when you go to
- 9:22goodranchers.com Walsh and use code
- 9:23Walsh you'll get two 18 o Prime center
- 9:26cut ribe eyes free with your order
- 9:27that's a $100 value for free that's
- 9:30promo code Walsh atg goodranchers.com
- 9:33Walsh this is a deal you don't want to
- 9:35pass up don't support crazy people and
- 9:37their fake me buy from good ranchers
- 9:39Instead at what age does the medical
- 9:42transition begin with uh medication so
- 9:45medical affirmation begins when the
- 9:47patient says they're ready for it so
- 9:50that could be a a kiddo who is just
- 9:53starting puberty and panicking cuz
- 9:55they're getting breast buds or their
- 9:58penis is getting bigger and busier and
- 10:00they're worried about all kinds of
- 10:02masculine changes and that way puberty
- 10:05blockers which are completely
- 10:07reversible and don't have permanent
- 10:10effects are wonderful because we can put
- 10:13that pause on puberty just like if you
- 10:15were listening to music you put the Paw
- 10:17on and we stop the blockers and puberty
- 10:20would go right back to where it was the
- 10:23next note in the song Just delayed that
- 10:26period of time so this part this is a
- 10:27part from later in the film as we start
- 10:29getting into more of the specifics here
- 10:31about puberty blockers and I'm not going
- 10:33to say myself right now a lot in
- 10:35response to that because you have to go
- 10:36watch the film um because as I said we
- 10:40I'm asking questions and we don't just
- 10:41ask questions of people on this side we
- 10:43bring in other people so there's a
- 10:45there's a little bit of a back and forth
- 10:47here but we're going to get a response
- 10:49in the film to this claim that puberty
- 10:51can just be just be you know just pause
- 10:54it as she says like like music does the
- 10:57human body work that way I mean is is is
- 11:01that the way it works where you can take
- 11:04a drug to
- 11:07intentionally um interfere with certain
- 11:10normal healthy processes and you could
- 11:13take and then there's there's no
- 11:14negative consequences at
- 11:16all just stop taking the drug and pick
- 11:19up where you left off which of course
- 11:22the interesting thing is that even if
- 11:23that was true which it isn't as you'll
- 11:24see in the film but even if it was true
- 11:27well then wouldn't that mean I mean if a
- 11:29child's taking puberty
- 11:31blockers to stop their normal
- 11:33development and then we're just putting
- 11:35it on pause for let's say five years and
- 11:39then they decide that okay I don't want
- 11:40to take this anymore well at a minimum
- 11:43now they're going to be five years
- 11:44behind in their growth and development
- 11:47so even according to her version of
- 11:50events like at a minimum you're going to
- 11:52have stunted
- 11:53growth and you're going to have someone
- 11:55who is behind in their physical
- 11:57development but actually the
- 11:58consequences are lot lot worse than that
- 12:00as we uh discover in the film and as we
- 12:03get into um in this next exchange about
- 12:07the puberty blockers themselves what are
- 12:10they what do they do uh what is their
- 12:13what what is their actual purpose uh
- 12:16let's watch that one of the drugs used
- 12:17is Lupron right which has actually been
- 12:20used to chemically castrate sex
- 12:23offenders you know what I'm not sure
- 12:25that we should continue with this
- 12:27interview because it seems like it's
- 12:28going in particular direction well
- 12:30you're a medical professional I am a
- 12:32medical professional so you don't want
- 12:33to talk about the drugs that you give to
- 12:36kids
- 12:37or again I'm a physician and I use
- 12:40medication you're choosing exploitive
- 12:43words drugs I give to I'm choosing a
- 12:46chemical word that was in a dictionary
- 12:48that's not a correct term for puberty
- 12:50blocking I could like look it up on my
- 12:51phone but I'm pretty sure if I looked it
- 12:52up like you you can look it up on your
- 12:54phone says medical definition the
- 12:56administration of a drug to bring about
- 12:58a mark reduction in the body's
- 13:00production of androgens and especially
- 13:01testosterone and I'm saying as a
- 13:04pediatrician who takes care of hundreds
- 13:06of these kids when you use that
- 13:08terminology you were being malignant and
- 13:10harmful I mean there are some who would
- 13:12say that giving chemical castration
- 13:14drugs to kids is malignant and harmful
- 13:17it's about the context of caring for a
- 13:19child and and seeing the the suffering
- 13:23that kids can have that have not been in
- 13:26affirmative home situations so that was
- 13:28the part part in our conversation where
- 13:31things got
- 13:32um things got a bit contentious but I
- 13:35wouldn't say that it that it that that's
- 13:37when they started to get contentious
- 13:38actually what we discovered in doing
- 13:40these interviews is that um you know I
- 13:43kind of knew going
- 13:45in uh I I had certain points in mind
- 13:47where where I thought okay well when I
- 13:49ask this question um it you know things
- 13:52might get a little bit tense and I kind
- 13:53of know well because that's that's
- 13:55that's more of a challenging question
- 13:57and what I found so often in these
- 13:58interviews is that things got tense much
- 14:00earlier than I originally thought they
- 14:03would because there were questions that
- 14:05I thought would be really easy for the
- 14:07person that I'm talking to that turned
- 14:08out not to be easy at all questions
- 14:11like uh what's the difference between
- 14:14sex and gender you know these are like
- 14:16that's that's supposed to be a softball
- 14:19but even that things start go off the
- 14:21rails in a lot of these interviews when
- 14:22I ask even a question like that because
- 14:24what we found is that um these people
- 14:26these gender ideologues especially the
- 14:28ones who are in this
- 14:29industry and they're making a lot of
- 14:31money off of promoting gender confusion
- 14:34especially in kids it's that well we
- 14:37found is that they are not prepared to
- 14:40encounter
- 14:42any
- 14:43skepticism at all they're not prepared
- 14:46to answer any
- 14:48questions the only questions they're
- 14:49prepared to answer are the questions
- 14:50that are not really questions at all
- 14:52right questions like uh how how
- 14:55meaningful is it to you to be able to
- 14:58help people in their gender Journey like
- 15:00that those kind of questions or it's
- 15:01just a setup for them to give a
- 15:03pre-planned canned you know speech so by
- 15:06the time we got to this exchange it
- 15:07already gotten pretty tense and uh and
- 15:11of course I asked her about Lupron now
- 15:12this is a drug that she gives to kids
- 15:14and as we hear from somebody else in the
- 15:15film Scott nent um who has experience
- 15:18with these kinds of drugs personal
- 15:19experience this drug in particular is a
- 15:22drug it is actually by definition
- 15:24chemical castration which is why I
- 15:26wasn't planning on doing this but I
- 15:27pulled out my phone look up the the
- 15:28definition of chemical castration she
- 15:30she says that chemical castration that's
- 15:32an exploitative word and I'm being
- 15:34malignant and harmful by using that word
- 15:36well look up the definition of chemical
- 15:38castration and that is a puberty blocker
- 15:42that is by definition when you give a
- 15:44kid a puberty blocker you are performing
- 15:46chemical castration on the kid period
- 15:49and we know that because Lupron
- 15:52specifically has been used to chemically
- 15:55castrate sex offenders you notice in
- 15:57that exchange by the way didn't deny she
- 16:00she takes issue with the words that I'm
- 16:01using she threatens to get up and storm
- 16:03out um she's offended by the by the way
- 16:07that I'm phrasing it the words but she
- 16:09never says oh no that's that's that's
- 16:12totally incorrect Lupron does not do
- 16:14that lpra has never been used that way
- 16:16doesn't say that because she can't I
- 16:18don't have to tell you that that gas
- 16:19prices are really high right now you've
- 16:20probably noticed yourself every time you
- 16:22go to the the pump it gives you
- 16:23heartburn well here's the good news
- 16:24there's an incredible app that everybody
- 16:26who buys gas needs to know about and
- 16:28it's called upside because there is a
- 16:30little bit of upside when you're pumping
- 16:31gas and this is it my listeners are
- 16:33earning cash back for every gallon of

- 17:16Walsh now that's code Walsh and then
- 17:19finally of course we get to the the
- 17:20question which is the question I ask uh
- 17:22everyone and uh which is what is a woman
- 17:25and probably is not going to surprise
- 17:27you by now that she doesn't exactly have
- 17:29answer for it but let's uh let's listen
- 17:31to what she comes up with so we're going
- 17:34on this
- 17:35journey boys can be girls girls can be
- 17:37boys men can be women women can be men
- 17:40it makes me
- 17:42wonder what is a woman what is a woman a
- 17:46woman is someone who claims that as
- 17:48their identity it could be many things
- 17:50to many
- 17:52people that was her answer well a woman
- 17:54is anyone and that was by the way not to
- 17:57give any spoilers away but but that is
- 18:01the
- 18:02answer from the left to the question
- 18:04which is a non-answer it's the same
- 18:05thing as not answering it at all but
- 18:07that is that is the answer a woman is
- 18:09someone who says they're a woman and of
- 18:11course to everyone who gives me that
- 18:12answer in the film I have the followup a
- 18:14woman is someone who identifies as a
- 18:15woman what are they identifying as and
- 18:17around and around we go because they
- 18:20don't have an answer to the question
- 18:21this is a medical
- 18:25doctor um who can't tell you what a
