0:00In the small town of Carterville, Ohio,
0:02a teenager named Shawn shows his friend
0:04Ted a blue Matchbox Camaro that he plans
0:07to give to Amy, his crush. The two then

0:12meet up with the rest of their friends,
0:13who call themselves the Matchbox gang.
0:16Small pulls Shawn aside and asks how his
0:18father is doing as Shawn's mother has
0:20recently passed away.
0:21>> Okay, I guess.
0:22>> Shawn explains that his dad is in
0:23Chicago interviewing for a job.
0:25>> I think we'll be sticking around. Mom
0:27loved it here. Yeah, [clears throat]
0:30your mom was about
0:30>> Sally notices the Matchbox car and Shawn
0:33hands it to him.
0:34>> A vintage 1969 Super Camaro just like
0:37the one Amy wants.
0:39>> Shawn asks if Amy will like it. Smallie
0:41smiles and says that the first Matchbox
0:43car was actually a gift from a father to
0:45his daughter. Her school had a rule that
0:47students could only bring toys that were
0:48small enough to fit inside an actual
0:50Matchbox.
0:51>> You are one of the last great romantics,
0:53[music]
0:53kid. Shawn joins his friends who are
0:55playing with Smally's carefully curated
0:57collection of Matchbox cars. Charmaine
1:00and Crosby are busy with the Matchbox
1:01helicopters when Amy challenges Shawn to
1:04a race. As usual, Amy wins. Shawn clears
1:08his throat and asks Amy if she remembers
1:11telling him that she loves the 1969
1:13Super Camaro. She shakes her head and
1:15corrects him, saying that what she
1:17actually told him was that one day
1:19someone would love her enough to find
1:21her a limited edition 1969 blue super
1:24Camaro. She then says goodbye to her
1:26friends and leaves. Ted urges Shawn to
1:28go after her. Shawn calls out to Amy,
1:31but when she turns around, fear gets the
1:33better of him and he says nothing. When
1:35Shawn gets home, he discovers that his
1:37father has actually gotten the job in
1:39Chicago. His father assures him that it
1:41will be a new start. 28 years later,
1:44Shawn is now working as a covert CIA
1:46agent. Several armed men are hot on his
1:48trail as he speeds away. His handler,
1:51Helen, urges him to hurry, warning that
1:53their contact, Eastbrook, is waiting for
1:56the nuclear warhead delivery. Shawn
1:57assures her that he has everything under
1:59control and says he'll call her back.
2:02>> Can we get the connection back, please?
2:04>> He eventually reaches the edge of a
2:05cliff, forcing him to stop. The men get
2:08out of their vehicles and order him to
2:09step out of the car. Instead, Shawn puts
2:12the car in reverse and drives straight
2:14off the edge, landing safely thanks to a
2:16grappling hook. Minutes later, Shawn
2:18reaches Eastbrook, who points out that
2:20he is an hour late. Shawn simply shrugs.
2:23Two of Eastbrook's men load the nuclear
2:25warhead into the helicopter. Shawn calls
2:28Helen, who immediately asks if he made
2:30the drop.
2:31>> The satellite lost your signal. Just
2:32tell me you made the drop.
2:34>> Yep. I risked my life to steal a nuclear
2:36warhead from a warlord just to deliver
2:37it to a drug smuggler. Great work. for
2:39agents who don't exist in a territory we
2:42can't operate in delivering a stolen
2:44nuclear warhead that we're not supposed
2:45to have. Can't exactly send the Navy.
2:48>> Helen then tells him to lay low for
2:49about 10 days. Meanwhile, back in
2:52Carterville, Amy is training for the
2:54upcoming regional racing qualifiers. On
2:56the side, she works as an ambulance
2:58driver. Crosby now works in
3:00construction. He is also married to
3:03Charmaine, who works as a traffic
3:04reporter from a helicopter. And Ted
3:07teaches physics at a local high school.
3:09Oh, don't don't panic. Perfect.
3:11>> That evening, Amy visits her uncle's
3:13garage and excitedly tells him that she
3:15has set a new track record, bringing her
3:17closer to qualifying for the regional
3:19races. When Small doesn't respond, she
3:22walks over to his desk and realizes that
3:24he has passed away. Later, Shawn is
3:26relaxing at a luxurious hotel when a
3:28woman approaches him and starts flirting
3:30with him. Shawn politely turns her down,
3:33saying he isn't interested, but still
3:34buys her a drink. Although Shawn has
3:37lost touch with his old friends, he
3:39occasionally checks Amy's Instagram.
3:41When he sees her tribute to Small, Shawn
3:44decides to return to Carterville. The
3:46next morning, Amy delivers a heartfelt
3:48speech about Small, describing him as
3:51her mentor and the father she never had.
3:53She also explains that Smally's garage
3:55was more than just a garage. It was a

4:47he probably means arms dealing. He then

5:25question back on her. Amy admits that
5:27she got married, but the marriage didn't
5:28last. Shawn apologizes and the others
5:31immediately start teasing Amy about her
5:33ex-husband.
5:34>> His V-neck so deep
5:35>> he would like twist it up and like catch
5:36both nipples.
5:37>> Shawn excuses himself and heads to the
5:38bathroom where he scolds himself for
5:40coming to the bar when he should already
5:42be on a plane. When he comes out, he
5:44runs into Amy. She tells him that she
5:46tried looking him up over the years but
5:48could never find him.
5:49>> Seemed maybe like you didn't want to be
5:51found. Meanwhile, Charmaine tells Crosby
5:54that she has been offered a job as a
5:56news reporter and is considering taking
5:58it. Crosby says it's fantastic, but his
6:01enthusiasm fades when she reveals that
6:03the job is in Seattle. Just then, the
6:06others rejoin them as a waitress brings
6:08over a round of shots. Amy asks who
6:10ordered them and turns to Crosby. He
6:13says he doesn't remember, but admits
6:15that he might have ordered them. Amy
6:16thanks her friends for loving her uncle
6:18and for making her feel less alone
6:20tonight. They all raise their glasses in
6:22a toast to Smallley. Suddenly, everyone
6:24starts feeling dizzy. Ted looks toward
6:26the waitress and notices her quickly
6:28fleeing the bar. He smells his shot and
6:30mutters, "Cloral hydrate." Shawn tells
6:32them they're going to pass out and wake
6:34up somewhere else. And when they do,

6:40The group soon wakes up aboard a
6:42military plane. Crosby realizes where
6:44they are and immediately starts to
6:46panic. Shawn is taken aback to find
6:48Mosir, the CIA's deputy director, on the
6:51plane and asks what's going on. Mosier
6:54asks Shawn where the nuclear warhead is.
6:56Ted mutters that Shawn really is an arms
6:58dealer after all.
6:59>> Not an arms dealer.
7:00>> Shawn tells Mosier that he made the drop
7:02to Eastbrook.
7:03>> He said you never showed.
7:04>> Then string him up, Ice.
7:06>> Eastbrook had no reason to go rogue. He
7:08was going to be paid very well on
7:09delivery.
7:10>> Maybe somebody paid him more.
7:11>> Ted interrupts saying he doesn't want to
7:13hear any of it. When I want to hear from
7:15you, you'll know because there'll be
7:16electrodes attached to your scrotum.
7:18>> Shawn tells Mosier to check with Helen,
7:21who tracked his entire mission by
7:22satellite until he completed the
7:24delivery. Mosier says he already did,
7:26but Helen told him Shawn disappeared
7:28from the satellite's view for 15
7:30minutes. He adds that a lot can happen
7:32in 15 minutes. Shawn sigh and points out
7:35that if Eastbrook claims he never showed
7:38up, there are only two possibilities.
7:40Either Eastbrook is lying or Mosier is.
7:43Come on, Moer. If you're really missing
7:44a weapon, we don't have time. Cut me
7:46loose. I'll find your bomb.
7:47>> When Mosier refuses to cooperate, Shawn
7:50threatens to take over the plane if he
7:51doesn't let him and his friends go.
7:53>> Yeah, we'll see if you're still feeling
7:54so cocky and start tossing your friends
7:55out.
7:56>> Shawn is then taken to another room.
7:58Charmaine can't believe Shawn actually
8:00stole a bomb.
8:00>> He said he didn't. Let's just not jump
8:02to conclusions. Okay,
8:03>> Amy, look at me. We were drugged and
8:04kidnapped onto a plane. Okay, honey.
8:06Okay.
8:06>> Suddenly, they hear gunshots. Moments
8:08later, Shawn emerges from the room, and
8:10easily takes down two armed men. Shawn
8:12picks up the knife, cuts Amy free, and
8:15asks her to free the others. When she
8:17asks where he's going, Shawn casually
8:19replies that he's going to hijack the
8:21plane.
8:21>> Didn't I say the International Logistics
8:23thing was [ __ ] The watch was too
8:25big.
8:25>> Shawn then throws Mosier's body to the
8:27floor. Concerned, Ted asks if he's okay.
8:30Crosby rolls his eyes and asks why Ted
8:33is worried about the man who threatened
8:34to put electrodes on his balls.
8:36>> I thought that was a figure of speech.
8:37Not a figure of speech, but
8:38>> Shawn then asks Crosby to give him a
8:40hand, but Charmaine stops him, saying
8:43they don't even know if Shawn is one of
8:44the good guys. Crosby points to Moer and
8:46reminds her that he was the one
8:48threatening to throw them out of the
8:49plane, making him the obvious bad guy.
8:52>> What do you need, buddy? Need to throw
8:53these guys off the plane.
8:54>> They put parachutes on the unconscious
8:56men and throw them out of the plane. Amy
8:58asks Shawn what's really going on, and
9:00he finally admits that he works for a
9:02covert CIA division called Blackthornne.
9:05My last mission was to recover a stolen
9:07warhead. A smuggler named Eastbrook was
9:09supposed to deliver it to our people in
9:10England, but he never did. So now Moer
9:12thinks it was me or us.
9:14>> Amy points out that they haven't seen
9:16him since childhood.
9:17>> Unfortunately, the timing of all this
9:18looks really bad for you.
9:19>> I think that's something we could have
9:21explained to Mr. Moer if you hadn't
9:23thrown him out of the plane.
9:24>> Shawn explains that Moser is about to
9:26become the CIA's director of operations,
9:28so he wants to find the missing bomb
9:30without anyone finding out it was ever
9:32lost. Shawn warns them that once they
9:34leave the plane, the CIA will have
9:36planted enough evidence in their homes
9:38to make sure they never see the light of
9:40day again. Crosby then asks what they're
9:42going to do about the pilot. Shawn
9:44casually reveals that the pilot was
9:46actually the first person he threw out.
9:48Ted asks where they are headed
9:50>> over to Anier head to Algeria. It's
9:52fine. I'm just going to reroute us south
9:54[music] to a safe house right outside of
9:55Casablanca. First, I need to crash a
9:57plane.
9:58>> The gang is confused. So Shawn explains
10:00that once Mosier gets his hands on a
10:02phone, he'll scramble a team of F-15s to
10:05shoot them down. He tells them he is
10:06going to ditch the plane in the ocean
10:08just off the coast, which should buy
10:09them at least a day before Mosier
10:11realizes they aren't in the wreckage. He
10:13tells the gang to find something to hold
10:14on to as he crashes the plane. Ted is
10:17knocked unconscious by the impact. Amy
10:19bandages Ted's head while Shawn tells
10:21them that he has bought them enough time
10:23to reach the safe house. Amy insists
10:25they find a hospital so Ted can get an
10:27MRI first. Shawn shakes his head,
10:29reminding her that they need to stay off
10:31the radar, but she refuses to back down.
10:33They eventually take Ted to a local
10:35hospital. Through one of his contacts,
10:37Shawn gets hold of a phone and calls
10:39Helen.
10:39>> What the hell is going on? They have me
10:41in Tangier with an Xfill team that just
10:43pulled Moer from a tree.
10:45>> He tells her that Moer is accusing him
10:47of stealing the bomb. Helen assures him
10:49she can sort everything out and asks him
10:51to send her his current location. A
10:53nurse comes out and calls for Ted.
10:55Speaking in Arabic, she tells them they
10:57can't admit a patient without
10:58identification. Ted and Amy stare at her
11:01in confusion. Charmaine steps in and
11:03responds in Arabic, explaining that Ted
11:06urgently needs medical attention. The
11:08nurse eventually agrees to admit him.
11:10The others are impressed by Charmaine's
11:11Arabic. She credits Duallingingo.
11:14>> Been brushing up for when I visit the
11:15Great Pyramids of
11:16>> What's your score streak on Duolingo?
11:17>> How many days?
11:19>> Amy then realizes Shawn is gone. Shawn
11:21heads to the rooftop where he meets
11:23Helen and another agent named Falco.
11:25Helen asks why he came to the hospital.
11:28Shawn says a friend was injured. When
11:30Helen gives him a look, he clarifies
11:32that when Mosier captured him, he also
11:34took his four middle school classmates.
11:36>> I went home.
11:37>> Home doesn't exist for people like us.
11:39>> Helen tells Shawn that they need to get
11:41him out of there before Mosier arrives.
11:43Shawn insists that he's not leaving
11:44without his friends. Helen then tells
11:46him that she already has a ground unit
11:48on the way to get them to safety. You
11:50didn't know about my friends, but you
11:51have a ground unit coming for them.
11:53>> At that moment, Amy opens the rooftop
11:55door. Shawn realizes that Helen is the
11:57one who stole the bomb. Helen admits
12:00that she had to steal the bomb.
12:01Bitterly, she says that Moser is weak
12:04and unfit to run the CIA.
12:07She then asks Shawn to come with her so
12:09they can fix things and make the agency
12:11better, but Shawn refuses. Helen nods to
12:14Falco before heading toward the
12:16helicopter. Crosby arrives looking for
12:18Amy. He tells Amy to climb down the side
12:21of the building. Shawn unspools the fire
12:23hose to repel down, but it doesn't reach
12:25all the way to the ground. Amy asks if
12:27he's okay, and Shawn simply grunts. Back
12:30inside, one of Helen's men holds
12:32Charmaine hostage. Shawn storms in and
12:35takes him down. He grabs the gun from
12:37the floor, then pushes the hospital's
12:38fire alarm, sending the patients
12:40scrambling out of the building in a
12:42panic. Falco takes aim at Shawn, but
12:44Shawn slips outside before he can fire.
12:46The gang gets into the ambulance and
12:48flees. Falco orders the other men
12:50stationed nearby to pursue the
12:51ambulance. Amy turns on the siren and
12:54floors the accelerator as the men start
12:56shooting at the ambulance. Shawn fires
12:58back at them while the attackers
13:00relentlessly pursue them. Shawn tells
13:02Amy to keep the ambulance steady and she
13:05nods. Shawn shoots at a car ahead of one
13:07of the pursuing vehicles. Falco catches
13:10up to them. Back inside the ambulance,
13:12Ted tries to make a makeshift Molotov
13:14cocktail. But when Amy suddenly slams on
13:17the brakes, he drops it. Crosby's leg
13:20catches fire, and to make matters worse,
13:22the ambulance's back door breaks open,
13:24leaving him clinging to a stretcher for
13:26dear life. One of the pursuing cars rams
13:29into the stretcher, but they managed to
13:31pull Crosby back inside just in time.
13:33Ted grabs an oxygen tank, opens the
13:36valve, and throws it at one of the
13:37pursuing cars, causing it to explode.
13:40Shawn tells Amy to drive toward the
13:42marketplace so they can lose their
13:43pursuers. However, Falco manages to
13:46corner them, leaving them with no choice
13:48but to abandon the ambulance and escape
13:50on foot. The gang reach the safe house.
13:53Everything unfolds exactly as Shawn
13:54predicted. The CIA has framed Ted,
13:57Charmaine, and Amy, accusing them of
14:00building a bomb and labeling them wanted
14:02terrorists. Ted panics and says he needs
14:04to call his husband, Brian, to make sure
14:05he and their kids are okay. Shawn warns
14:08him that if he makes that call, the life
14:10he knows will be over. The CIA will come
14:12after Brian and their children under the
14:14guise of national security.
14:15>> Why don't you just go then? Just stop
14:17pretending to be some hero and turn
14:19yourself in.
14:19>> Shawn admits that he would turn himself
14:21in if he knew it could make a
14:22difference. On TV, a news report says
14:25the UN has called for civilian
14:26protection during the fragile pause in
14:28hostilities. It also reports that NATO
14:31and Russian delegates are expected to
14:33meet in Budapest in the coming days to
14:35discuss a peace settlement over the
14:37conflict along the Russian border.
14:39Later, Amy goes to check on Shawn, who
14:41immediately raises his gun at her. She
14:43asks if he can ever turn it off.
14:44>> I did back in Carterville. You see where
14:47that got me?
14:48>> Amy then sigh and asks about the woman
14:50they saw on the rooftop. Shawn says her
14:52name is Helen. The two of them were
14:54recruited by the CIA around the same
14:56time years ago. She was sent on a
14:58mission that went badly, forcing her to
15:00leave fieldwork and take a desk job.
15:02Shawn admits that Helen was the one
15:04person he could always trust. But now he
15:06feels completely alone.
15:08>> You're not alone.
15:09>> I can't do what I do and drag the
15:11Matchbox gang around with me.
15:12>> We saved your ass back there.
15:14>> Amy then tells the gang that they need
15:15to steal the bomb back if they want to
15:17get their lives back. Shawn takes them
15:19to meet Grigor, a Russian spy. Charmaine
15:21asks if he is part of Blackthornne, but
15:23Gregor explains that he works for the
15:25SVR, describing it as being like the
15:28KGB, only a little more corrupt.
15:30>> He's a Russian spy.
15:32>> Nobody's perfect.
15:33>> Speak for yourself. And you, if you ever
15:36want a real spy instead of this guy, you
15:40let me know.
15:41>> Gregor tells them that he doesn't want
15:42the bomb to end up in the wrong hands
15:44either. He then excuses himself to check
15:46on the plane. The gang asks Shawn where
15:49they're headed. He tells them Romania.
15:51Shawn says that besides Grigor, only a
15:54handful of people can modify nuclear
15:56warheads on the black market and the
15:58best one operates out of Bucharest, a
16:00black market weapons dealer named
16:01Robbie.
16:02>> That's where the bomb's going, so that's
16:04where we're going.
16:04>> With the Russian spy.
16:06>> He's got a plane.
16:07>> They board the plane and Ted asks how
16:09they're supposed to get into Romania
16:11without passports. Shawn casually
16:13replies that they have money, half a
16:15million dollars. Crosby starts freaking
16:18out when he realizes they're on a plane
16:19again, but Charmaine manages to calm him
16:22down. The next morning, Amy tells Shawn
16:25that she still can't believe Small is
16:27gone. Shawn apologizes and she nods,
16:30saying that he was a good man who always
16:32showed up for people who were
16:33vulnerable, scared, or alone. She then
16:36asks Shawn why he came back home. Shawn
16:38admits that he spent most of his life
16:40thinking outside the box with no
16:42attachments and no boundaries. But the
16:44more he looked outside of it, the more
16:46he realized that he couldn't find what
16:48he was searching for out there. Maybe he
16:50says it's time he started thinking
16:52inside the box. They land in Bucharest.
16:56Meanwhile, Moser tells Helen that she
16:58needs to control her boy. Helen promises
17:00to find Shawn.
17:01>> I already did. We got a facial wreck
17:03head at a private airfield. He's in
17:05Bucharest.
17:06>> Shawn is here.
17:07>> Falco assures her that it won't be a
17:09problem. That night, Charmaine asks why
17:11they have to dress up. Shawn simply
17:14replies that a good suit opens all
17:16doors. Just then, Amy joins them. Shawn
17:19compliments her. They enter Robbiey's
17:21mansion where a party is in full swing.
17:24Since Shawn can't find Robbie, he tells
17:26the others to make a scene and draw
17:28Robbie's attention.
17:30Robbie's right-hand man notices the
17:32group and approaches Shawn. He tells
17:34Shawn that it isn't a good time, but
17:36Shawn insists that they need to speak
17:38with Robbie. Just then, Robbie calls and
17:40tells her right-hand man to bring them
17:42upstairs.
17:43He leads the group upstairs where Robbie
17:45warmly greets Shawn with a kiss. Amy
17:47interrupts and asks if she's Robbie. She
17:50smiles and says she already likes Amy.
17:52Shawn tells Robbie that he wants to
17:53discuss some business. He also asks her
17:56for a favor to keep his friends safe.
17:58She takes him to a private room and
18:00tells him to come talk to her when he's
18:01ready. Shawn then tells the others that
18:03he has arranged for Robbie to take them
18:04somewhere safe. Amy asks where he plans
18:07to go. After the bomb, Shawn replies.
18:10Amy points out that he can't possibly do
18:12it alone and reminds him that he

18:33take delivery of the warhead. Robbie
18:35confirms that the modifications have
18:37been completed and says that only the
18:39payment remains. At that moment, a phone
18:41starts ringing. Robbiey's right-hand man
18:43asks Robbie to check it. Robbie then
18:45turns to Shawn and asks that if Mosier
18:48sent him to retrieve the warhead, why is
18:50Falco waiting at her doorstep? Shawn
18:52swears that Helen and Falco have gone
18:54rogue and plan to detonate the bomb.
18:56>> Today's governments are tomorrow's

19:14weapon, but Falco asks where Shawn is.

19:29eventually lowers his weapon and orders
19:31his men to take the weapon and search
19:33for Shawn. Shawn takes down the armed
19:35men with ruthless efficiency. As the men
19:38load the warhead into a truck, the gang
19:40watches in horror as Shawn is shot and
19:42Falco drags him outside. Charmaine

19:48struck his shoulder or chest.
19:50>> We don't belong here. Maybe we had a few
19:52wins, but that was Shawn for the most
19:55part anyway.
19:55>> That's not true. True or not, we have no
19:57more options. No.
19:59>> Ted then recalls how he first met Shawn.
20:01He was heavily bullied in school and
20:03even struggled with suicidal thoughts.
20:05One day when things became particularly
20:07bad, a kid he barely knew. Shawn stepped
20:10in to help him. Shawn wasn't nearly as
20:12big as he is now, so he ended up getting
20:14beaten up for standing up for Ted. The
20:16next day, Ted expected Shawn to mind his
20:19own business, but he didn't.
20:21>> Shawn first brought me to Smallies.
20:22>> Shawn kept showing up whenever Ted
20:24needed him, so he is going to help him.
20:26The others agree. Ted says they need to
20:28get the bomb, find Shawn, and save the
20:30day. Ted asks the guard if they can
20:32speak with Robbie. Amy then asks Robbie
20:35where Shawn is.
20:36>> I'm not going to send you to your death.
20:38This isn't just about us if that warhead
20:40goes off. I don't take sides. Better not
20:42to get too involved.
20:43>> She points out that Robbie is already
20:45involved. Robbie reveals that Helen
20:47plans to use Shawn as her scapegoat and
20:50tells them that Shawn and the Warhead
20:51are being transported by an armed convoy
20:53through the mountains to Budapest. Amy
20:55asks if Robbie has any cars they can
20:57borrow. The gang is stunned when Robbie
20:59shows them her impressive collection of
21:01cars and motorcycles, including several
21:03choppers. Meanwhile, Shawn regains
21:05consciousness inside one of the three
21:07trucks. He tells Helen that she should
21:09have killed him when she had the chance,
21:10but she says there's no need. This is a
21:13power grab.
21:14>> Helen asks Shawn who he would rather
21:16have making decisions for the United
21:17States. Mosier, a bureaucratic puppet,
21:21or her? Someone who has actually worked
21:23in the field and knows what it's really
21:25like.
21:26>> Somebody needs to get in there and make
21:28it right before it's too late.
21:30>> You want to detonate a nuclear bomb in
21:32friendly territory to false flag us into
21:35a full-scale war?
21:36>> Shawn reminds her that they're supposed
21:37to be the ones stopping wars. Not
21:40starting them.
21:41>> Well, I'm not starting anything. You
21:43are.
21:44>> She explains that he was the last person
21:46seen with the weapon, and once he dies
21:48in the blast, he won't even have a
21:49chance to clear his name. So, I'm the
21:51suicide bomber and you're the hero that
21:53swoops in to pick up the pieces.
21:54>> That is the current plan.
21:56>> Shawn frees himself from his restraints
21:57and tells Helen he doesn't like the plan
21:59before fighting off the armed attackers.
22:01Helen and Falco move toward the front of
22:03the truck where Helen orders Falco to
22:05kill Shawn. Falco catches Shawn off
22:08guard and the two exchange a series of
22:10punches before Falco eventually gains
22:12the upper hand. Just as Shawn starts
22:15losing hope, he notices his friends
22:17arriving to rescue him. Shawn headbutts
22:20Falco. Helen spots the gang and orders
22:22her men to take them out. From the
22:24chopper, Charmaine warns the others that
22:26UTVs and motorcycles are closing in on
22:28them. Crosby lowers the tow truck's ramp
22:31and drives forward while Amy tells the
22:33gang to split up to throw off their
22:35pursuers. Inside the truck, Shawn fights
22:37off the attackers. He finishes them off
22:40for good. Not far away, a couple of
22:42armed men chase Amy and start shooting
22:45at her. She tears off the hanging car
22:47door and throws it at them before
22:49speeding away. She spots Crosby's tow
22:52truck and follows him. Meanwhile, Helen
22:54contacts the second truck transporting
22:56the warhead and tells them she's heading
22:58their way. The men open fire on
23:00Charmaine, forcing her to put some
23:02distance between them. Despite her
23:03efforts, several bullets hit the
23:05helicopter. She tells Crosby to get as
23:07far away from the attackers as possible
23:09before she blows them out. Charmaine
23:11launches her attack. However, the
23:13gunfire has damaged the helicopter,
23:15causing her to lose control. The others
23:17anxiously ask if she's okay, but there
23:19is no response. A moment later,
23:21Charmaine finally answers and assures
23:23them that she's fine, promising to catch
23:25up with them soon. Back with Shawn,
23:27Falco attacks him and eventually throws
23:29him through the truck's windshield.
23:31However, Shawn grabs onto the front of
23:32the vehicle. Falco orders the driver to
23:35crush him, but Shawn quickly pulls
23:37himself underneath the truck. When Falco
23:40doesn't see Shawn's body, he calls for
23:42backup. Amy notices that the men chasing
23:45her have stopped pursuing her and are
23:47continuing down the road. She suspects
23:49they may be heading towards Shawn. One
23:52of the men spots Shawn underneath the
23:54truck and is about to finish him off
23:55when Amy rams into him from behind,
23:58sending him onto the hood of her car.
23:59Shawn warns Amy to be careful. She
24:02drives underneath the truck, causing him
24:04to lose his grip and fall off. Shawn
24:06climbs back into the truck, grabs a bomb
24:08and throws it at Falco, who catches it
24:10out of reflex. At the same time, Ted
24:13fires at the third truck before
24:15accidentally dropping the gun. He then
24:17asks Crosby if he remembers how they
24:19used to use Matchbox tow trucks as ramps
24:21when they were kids. Crosby reminds him
24:24that those were toys and this is real
24:26life, but Ted argues that the same
24:28physics still apply. Crosby reluctantly
24:31agrees. Helen curses under her breath as
24:34Shawn tells her that he won't let her
24:36escape with the bomb. Shawn rams his
24:38truck into Helen's and she retaliates.
24:41Eventually, Helen manages to ram Shawn's
24:43truck hard enough to send it crashing
24:45off the bridge. His friends arrive
24:47moments later and are devastated when
24:48they see the wreckage. They assume Shawn
24:50is dead and begin mourning him. However,
24:53Shawn has managed to grab onto the edge
24:54of the bridge and survives. Charmaine
24:56soon joins the others.
24:58>> What the hell? I've never seen civilians
25:01do something so dangerous and completely
25:03amazing. That was insane.
25:05>> Shawn compliments them for using their
25:07vehicles to their advantage and then
25:09apologizes for what he said back at
25:11Robbie's place. Amy assures him that
25:13they understand he was only trying to
25:15protect them. Shawn tells them they need
25:17to move and stop Helen. The gang asks
25:19how they're supposed to find Helen.
25:21Shawn figures she'll plant the bomb just
25:23outside the restricted security area
25:25where she can stay far enough away from
25:27the blast. He then tells them about her
25:29plan. The gang locates the truck
25:31carrying the bomb and Ted notices a
25:33meter on it counting upward. Shawn
25:35realizes it's a contingency plan and
25:38tells them that Helen has retrofitted
25:39the bomb with a reverse proximity
25:41detonation device. This means the bomb
25:44will explode automatically once Helen
25:46reaches a safe distance, even if she
25:48never presses the detonator. Shawn warns
25:51them that they have to keep the bomb
25:52within 5,000 m of Helen or it will
25:55detonate. They load the bomb into the
25:57van and notice that the meter is already
25:59climbing. Charmaine realizes they're
26:01heading in the wrong direction. When
26:03they reach a fork in the road, the
26:04others urge Shawn to take the right
26:06turn. The gang spots Helen walking
26:08across the bridge, and Shawn tells them
26:10he's going after the detonator. He sees
26:13Helen heading toward an approaching
26:14chopper and runs after her, trying to
26:16stop her before she can board. However,
26:20she manages to get inside. And as the
26:22chopper takes off, Shawn leaps onto it
26:24and clings on for dear life. Helen
26:26orders the pilot to shake him off. The
26:28gang follows the chopper in their van as
26:30Ted warns them that the meter on the
26:32bomb keeps climbing. Shawn manages to
26:35pull himself into the helicopter and
26:37knocks the gun out of Helen's hand.
26:39Helen pulls out a knife and stabs him,
26:41but Shawn punches her. Just as he
26:44reaches for the detonator, Helen places
26:46her foot on his hand to stop him. Shawn
26:48and Helen continue struggling until
26:50their fight accidentally kills the
26:52pilot, sending the helicopter into a
26:54dangerous descent. Shawn grabs the
26:56detonator and manages to clip the
26:58carabiner onto Helen. Shawn manages to
27:00stop the detonator. Later, the gang
27:03helps him out of the water. Moments
27:05later, Moier arrives with a smile, now
27:08knowing who stole the bomb. He tells the
27:10gang that they will be sent safely back
27:12to Ohio, and Homeland Security has
27:14issued a press release clearing their
27:16names. He also tells them that if they
27:19check their bank accounts, they will
27:20find a rather sizable tax refund.
27:22>> You have the eternal gratitude of the
27:24United States government. Would be very
27:26grateful if you'd never discuss this
27:28with a single soul.
27:29>> They agree. Mosier then asks Shawn to
27:32say goodbye to his friends and come with
27:34him. They all hug Shawn. Sometime later,
27:37Crosby and Charmaine throw a farewell
27:39party before moving from Carterville to
27:41Seattle, where Charmaine will start her
27:43new job as a reporter. They hear the
27:46ambulance siren and Brian tells Ted that
27:48their son Mason has gotten inside Amy's
27:50ambulance again. Amy offers to go look
27:52for him. Amy finds the miniature blue
27:55Camaro on her ambulance's dashboard just
27:57as Shawn arrives in the real one. He
28:00tells her that he wanted to give her the
28:01toy car when they were kids, but never
28:03had the courage. Now that they're
28:05adults, he decided to get her the real
28:07one instead. Amy kisses him, and they
28:10drive off together into the sunset as
28:12their friends smile at them.
