  1. 0:00Hey guys, in this video I'll show you
  2. 0:02how you can manage your contacts with
  3. 0:03System IO. One of the main features of
  4. 0:05System IO is the ability to grow your
  5. 0:07email list. Once someone is opted into
  6. 0:10your list, their contact information
  7. 0:11will appear here in contacts under the
  8. 0:13CRM tab. It's also possible to add them
  9. 0:16manually by clicking create contact and
  10. 0:18then inputting their information. One of
  11. 0:20the things you should do right away is
  12. 0:22create tags, which is also under the CRM
  13. 0:25tab. Keep in mind system does not use
  14. 0:27list. System IO uses tags to help you
  15. 0:30segment your contacts. It's much easier
  16. 0:32than running and managing multiple
  17. 0:34lists. Let's create a new tag together.
  18. 0:36Simply click create and then enter the
  19. 0:38name of your tag. For example, say that
  20. 0:40you've got an opt-in form on your blog.
  21. 0:42You can call this blog leads. Click save
  22. 0:45and you're done creating your first tag.
  23. 0:47It's that easy. In a future video, I'll
  24. 0:50show you how to use tags to send you
  25. 0:51newsletters. Now, let's go back into
  26. 0:53your contacts.
  27. 0:56On the side here, there are plenty of
  28. 0:58filters you can use to search for and
  29. 0:59find different contacts. For example, we
  30. 1:02can filter contacts by tags. You can
  31. 1:04also perform actions like adding or
  32. 1:06removing tags or subscribing contacts to
  33. 1:08your email campaign. System IO makes it
  34. 1:11very easy to complete bulk actions. Over
  35. 1:14here in the filter by sidebar, let's
  36. 1:16click on tag. Leave the drop-own menu
  37. 1:18with tagged with and then select the
  38. 1:20customers tag. Over here we see the
  39. 1:23filter in action and the list of all of
  40. 1:24our contacts that have the customers
  41. 1:26tag. You can either select each contact
  42. 1:28manually by clicking on the radio button
  43. 1:30besides them or click the top radio
  44. 1:32button which will select all of them.
  45. 1:34You can then complete a bulk action down
  46. 1:36here in the lower right corner. Click on
  47. 1:39more actions where we see all the
  48. 1:40available actions you can take. You
  49. 1:42could add all these contacts to a
  50. 1:43campaign or use the add tag action to
  51. 1:45add the new blog leads tag that we
  52. 1:47created earlier to all these selected
  53. 1:49contacts. Imagine being able to do this
  54. 1:52with thousands of contacts just like
  55. 1:53that. These bulk actions are a huge
  56. 1:55timesaver. Now, let's create a new
  57. 1:58contact together by clicking create
  58. 1:59contact and then enter their appropriate
  59. 2:01information. For example, I'll enter
  60. 2:03this for the email address. You can fill
  61. 2:05in all the other details, including
  62. 2:06adding custom fields. And here you can

  65. 2:12is now on your list. You can also import
  66. 2:14your contacts if you've got a list that
  67. 2:16was exported from any other email
  68. 2:18marketing platforms you were using. Now,
  69. 2:20it's important to remember you can only
  70. 2:22import the contacts that have given you
  71. 2:23permission to send them emails. You
  72. 2:26cannot import email lists that you've
  73. 2:27bought or have been given to you. To
  74. 2:29import your contacts, simply click
  75. 2:31import contacts and follow the detailed
  76. 2:33instructions. The file must be in CSV
  77. 2:36format. The delimiter defaults to comma.
  78. 2:38Make sure to select a delimiter
  79. 2:39appropriate to your file. Click here to
  80. 2:41upload your CSV file. You can select
  81. 2:44which tags you want the imported
  82. 2:45contacts to have, and you can also add
  83. 2:47them to an email campaign if you want.
  84. 2:49And here you can see your previous
  85. 2:51imports. System IO was designed to make
  86. 2:53it very easy and very practical to
  87. 2:55manage your contacts. You can import
  88. 2:57your contacts or create a form so that
  89. 2:59people can opt into your list. In the
