107. 3:14important and we need them where i see
108. 3:16an issue
109. 3:17is the over it's the way that the mother
110. 3:19showed her disappointment almost
111. 3:21for her daughter's decision have you
112. 3:23lost your mind

115. 3:32father and future
116. 3:33to try and tame some of my thoughts
117. 3:37that i may have in certain decisions of
118. 3:39my daughter
119. 3:40or my son because some of the thoughts
120. 3:42that we express sometimes can do more
121. 3:44everlasting damage than do good
122. 3:46so what we saw from the mother was like
123. 3:49she was like oh
124. 3:50like almost like saying that this thing
125. 3:51is beneath you like you've still got
126. 3:53more
127. 3:53this thing's almost beneath you you've
128. 3:54got more time and look it's easy to say
129. 3:57you've got more time when you when you
130. 3:58when you got your when you've had your
131. 3:59husband
132. 4:00or you you've you know you've married
133. 4:01before or whatever but it ain't easy
134. 4:03when you're single and you're looking at
135. 4:05the market and no one's really
136. 4:06approaching
137. 4:07i can understand it um so i get that
138. 4:09thought process of karen um as well
139. 4:12um you know she said she's a little bit
140. 4:13introverted and needs somebody who's
141. 4:15extroverted to put out over
142. 4:17which miles is um a bit more extroverted
143. 4:20so
144. 4:20i think he can definitely do that we saw
145. 4:22that with the the the wedding part when
146. 4:24he was sorry went about the
147. 4:25choosing all the taxes and you know when
148. 4:27he choose chose white the friend was
149. 4:29like listen we know that's not you
150. 4:30we know that's not you you better you
151. 4:31better you better step out like step in
152. 4:34the name of love

160. 4:50maroon red just means wealth it means
161. 4:52um strength it means there's courage you

163. 4:55it represents blood represents life you
164. 4:57know it's a dark maroon color it's a
165. 4:59nice color to go for you know what i
166. 5:00mean
167. 5:00um so uh
168. 5:03you know i i i saw that you know karen's
169. 5:06mom had a strong
170. 5:07upper lip stick off her lip premium
171. 5:10proper kind of way and i'm wondering if
172. 5:11that will be an
173. 5:12issue with um dealing with uh
174. 5:16you know miles and whether she will
175. 5:18approve of milos is he
176. 5:20in the category that that is really what
177. 5:23the mother would accept as
178. 5:24a son-in-law what do you think what
179. 5:26you're thinking i like it
180. 5:28i found enough that's not enough i know
181. 5:30you and i just like this
182. 5:32i thought this is playing it safe i want
183. 5:35her to look at me and be like damn

197. 5:58said to her daughter listen there is an
198. 5:59offer on the table if you want to take

200. 6:01meaning that if you want to leave you
201. 6:02can leave at any time um
202. 6:05you know and also as well karen
203. 6:07expressed that you know she's not much
204. 6:08of a risk-taker
205. 6:09she's a bit more scared so doing this
206. 6:11show is a risk in itself it's something
207. 6:13different
208. 6:14it's her stepping out of her comfort
209. 6:15zone but let me tell you something in
210. 6:16the comfort zone
211. 6:17things are comfortable but things don't
212. 6:19change when you're uncomfortable
213. 6:22things begin to change you know i mean
214. 6:25um
215. 6:26and so what's interesting is that she
216. 6:27came out of a five-year relationship
217. 6:29where the man
218. 6:30was cheating when she found out i want
219. 6:32to know how that's affected that because
220. 6:34let me tell you something
221. 6:35five years of giving your life to
222. 6:36somebody for them to fight to find out
223. 6:38they will cheat on you
224. 6:39um breaks all types of feelings of
225. 6:41emotions right it can do also things of
226. 6:43damage
227. 6:44is she even ready for a relationship
228. 6:46let's ask that question um has she
229. 6:48recovered has she had therapy
230. 6:49has she discussed this enough with
231. 6:51somebody has she got this out of her
232. 6:53system how she got the pain out of her
233. 6:54system
234. 6:55is she still dealing with the pains like
235. 6:57where is she at this journey so we know
236. 6:59i always say this people get cheated on
237. 7:00you need to know what part of the
238. 7:01journey they're on just so that
239. 7:02when you move forward you know when you
240. 7:05move forward
241. 7:06you know that i listen
242. 7:09call you know i'm ready to go you know
243. 7:11and that's important
244. 7:12um it's interesting as well like i said
245. 7:16because of the mum was saying something
246. 7:17like the mum said obviously have you
247. 7:18lost your damn mind
248. 7:19um you know um you know and for me
249. 7:23saying those kind of things are crushing
250. 7:25dreams but they're words that will
251. 7:27always stay with your daughter forever
252. 7:28you can't raise that are you at your
253. 7:31damn mind what
254. 7:32for trying to find a husband you know
255. 7:35this is how you out your down mind is
256. 7:37reserved for the times when your kid is
257. 7:38really messing up not for you when your
258. 7:39child is making a decision
259. 7:41which you don't necessarily agree with
260. 7:42from your standpoint you know what i
261. 7:44mean
262. 7:44like well let's be better than that and
263. 7:45i'm not saying i'm not cussing the mom
264. 7:46again i don't want to be
265. 7:48like that attendant i want to be able to
266. 7:49respectful but what i'm saying is as as
267. 7:51black people
268. 7:53and as parents in general in the future
269. 7:55let's try to
270. 7:56look at things not unnecessary just from
271. 7:57our perspective but let's remember that
272. 7:59our words don't get forgotten they don't
273. 8:02fall
274. 8:02on they don't fall on deaf ears they go
275. 8:04into people's ears and they actually
276. 8:05live
277. 8:06forever in the heart of the individual
278. 8:08um
279. 8:09you know what was obviously i know i'll
280. 8:12talk i'll talk about the the
281. 8:13at the end situation what i love from
282. 8:15what i love from mars is that you know
283. 8:16he's craving love he wants
284. 8:18he wants the same love as his
285. 8:19grandparents you know
286. 8:23we all come to the wedding
287. 8:27um you know the fact that you know he
288. 8:30really appreciate the fact that
289. 8:31you know his grandparents will be at the
290. 8:33wedding as well you know
291. 8:34um and it's interesting because
292. 8:36obviously karen's
293. 8:37a bit of a they said i was the expert
294. 8:39said she carries a bit of a hopeless
295. 8:41romantic
296. 8:42so is miles what's really insane for me
297. 8:45is that miles is willing to do anything
298. 8:46to make this work
299. 8:48what i love about that is also is the
300. 8:50fact that like i said the great
301. 8:52the great word from the friends but also
302. 8:54as well
303. 8:56i think that the guys in tune with
304. 8:57feelings and i think that's always
305. 8:59in 2020 it's important to be in tune
306. 9:02with your feelings and
307. 9:03look a grown man can cry but
308. 9:07i you know we we see from karen and
309. 9:10at the towards the end where she said oh
310. 9:12i checked his instagram
311. 9:14and one of the things they highlighted i
312. 9:16don't know a tv one thing they
313. 9:17highlighted was that
314. 9:18oh he spoke he seems very emotional
315. 9:22emotional oh god yeah just talking about
316. 9:25feelings and feelings and feelings
317. 9:27feelings feelings feelings yes it's 2020
318. 9:30men can talk about feelings
319. 9:31and feelings and feelings you know what
320. 9:34i mean
321. 9:34it don't make the person weak to talk
322. 9:36about feelings they don't make that look
323. 9:38feelings is an emotional intimacy
324. 9:40yeah talking about our feelings and how
325. 9:42we are being able to communicate your
326. 9:44feelings we have to communicate how you
327. 9:45feel
328. 9:46it's quite essential to an essential
329. 9:47it's quite essential to a successful
330. 9:49relationship
331. 9:49if you can't explain your feelings to me
332. 9:51trust me dog
333. 9:52if you're a poor communicator of how you
334. 9:54feel you're going to cause a havoc in
335. 9:56your relationship because you're unable
336. 9:57to trust them with your emotional needs
337. 10:00and they're unable to
338. 10:01get you to trust they're unable to
339. 10:03release their emotions to you because
340. 10:04you don't show
341. 10:05that you actually care for their
342. 10:06emotional needs and it's meant to be a
343. 10:08mutual trust
344. 10:09right so it's important to understand
345. 10:11that there's nothing wrong with a man
346. 10:12that
347. 10:13talks about feelings yeah um there's
348. 10:15nothing embarrassing about it
349. 10:16it's nothing uh there's nothing about uh
350. 10:19bad about the fact you can talk about
351. 10:20your feelings
352. 10:21it's almost a toxic mindset to have or
353. 10:23toxic masculinity that a man can't have
354. 10:25feelings in 2020.
355. 10:26you know what i'm saying but i'm giving
356. 10:27her the benefit of that because we don't
357. 10:29know what kind of feelings she taught
358. 10:30when she saw the feelings you know was
359. 10:32he being soppy sloppy when i'm saying
360. 10:33something i'm talking about not
361. 10:34necessarily that you've been emotional
362. 10:35but rather
363. 10:36you know is it something that doesn't
364. 10:38need to be emotional over you know i
365. 10:39mean
366. 10:40those are the real things there you know
367. 10:41i mean so i don't know
368. 10:43that's it i think they can make it if
369. 10:46karen decides that she's going to
370. 10:47overlook the age situation because he
371. 10:49looks very mature he sounds mature
372. 10:51can she overlook the age thing i don't
373. 10:54know
374. 10:54especially if your mom already is stiff
375. 10:56upper lip and doesn't like
376. 10:58the idea of this thing already and the
377. 10:59mom has obviously some sway
378. 11:01we are not sure if this is going to last
379. 11:03long because the mother's
380. 11:05voice will be ringing in the air of
381. 11:07karen
