Market Mechanics Ep 17: My Full Smart Money Trading Plan + Daily Routine — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00A lot of traders think that the money is
- 0:01made at the entry, but in reality, a
- 0:04huge part of profitability comes from
- 0:07what you do before the trade and after
- 0:10the trade.
- 0:11Most traders lose because they only
- 0:13focus on entries, setups, and the
- 0:15charts, but real consistency
- 0:19comes from having a full process. A real
- 0:22trading system is not just about the
- 0:24strategy, the entries, or technical
- 0:26analysis. It also includes the
- 0:29preparation, the risk management, your
- 0:32execution, your journaling, your review,
- 0:35and how you manage your trading
- 0:36psychology. You need the full package.
- 0:40And that is exactly what you're about to
- 0:41see in this lesson. I'm going to walk
- 0:44you through my full trading routine, and
- 0:46along with that, I'm going to give you a
- 0:48simplified mechanical trade plan that
- 0:50you can use right now. So, you can see
- 0:52how all of this fits together in the
- 0:55real world. So, with that being said,
- 0:56let's get into the lesson. So, up until
- 0:58now, I've shown you guys the concepts.
- 1:01I've shown you guys the framework and
- 1:02the logic behind my system, but now I
- 1:05want to show you what this actually
- 1:06looks like in real life. So, I'm going
- 1:08to step away from the slides for a
- 1:09minute and walk you through my full
- 1:11trading routine on EdgeFlow. What I do
- 1:15before I trade, during the trade, and
- 1:17after I trade, because this is where I'm
- 1:20going to drop some serious sauce. Okay,
- 1:22I'm going to give you the entire
- 1:23simplified mechanical trade plan, and
- 1:25this is really the part which will give
- 1:26you the structure you need. It tells you
- 1:27exactly what to look for, when to act,
- 1:30and just as importantly, when to stay
- 1:32out of the market. So, in this lesson,
- 1:34I'm going to walk you through the exact
- 1:35pre-market routine that I personally use
- 1:37to lock in before I take a single trade.
- 1:40So, on EdgeFlow, there's this function
- 1:41to actually conduct your pre-market
- 1:43routine via this pre-market routine
- 1:45banner that we have right here.
- 1:47The reason why we have this pre-market
- 1:49routine banner is because we want to
- 1:50enforce your pre-market routine. We want
- 1:52to make sure that you are doing the same
- 1:54actions every single day to prepare
- 1:56yourself, to get into the right state of
- 1:58mind before you actually start trading.
- 2:01Right? Like I said, consistent actions
- 2:03equal consistent results.
- 2:05And this pre-market routine banner is
- 2:07fully customizable in the settings. So,
- 2:09when you go to settings, you go to
- 2:10pre-market routine banner, this is where
- 2:12you can select the steps that you want
- 2:14to be included into your pre-market
- 2:16routine. You can delete and remove any
- 2:18steps you want. You can add any steps
- 2:19you want. Once you're finished
- 2:20customizing your pre-market routine
- 2:22banner, you can just press save changes
- 2:24and it will be reflected right here. You
- 2:26can also choose the time in which you
- 2:28want it to reset on a day-to-day basis,
- 2:30right? So, we highly recommend you to
- 2:32set it to 1 hour before your trading
- 2:34window. So, for me personally, I like to
- 2:36start trading at 3:00 p.m., which means
- 2:38I want this pre-market routine banner to
- 2:40appear around 2:00 p.m. So, this is
- 2:42where I'll come here and then I'll set
- 2:43it at around like 2:00 p.m. just like
- 2:46this, so that it appears at 2:00 p.m.
- 2:49every single day, reminding myself that
- 2:52I should do my pre-market routine. And
- 2:54also like this banner persists until all
- 2:56of the steps are actually completed,
- 2:57right? So, this once again forces you to
- 3:00complete the the steps that is on your
- 3:02pre-market routine banner. Right? So,
- 3:04once you complete all the steps here, it
- 3:05will disappear, so you can focus on your
- 3:07own trading. Now, let me walk you
- 3:09through my entire pre-market routine
- 3:11step-by-step. The first step is
- 3:12obviously to check the economic
- 3:14calendar, and I do so by going to the
- 3:16news feature on EdgeFlow. This is where
- 3:18I want to be filtering it by the
- 3:21currency pairs that's on my watch list.
- 3:24And then I'll also want to look out for
- 3:26the high impact news, all right? So,
- 3:28this is where I see, okay, around 7:00
- 3:30a.m. there's a high impact news coming
- 3:31out for GB, and then around like 9:30
- 3:35a.m. there's another high impact news
- 3:36coming out. So, this is where I'll tell
- 3:38myself, okay, cool, these are the times
- 3:39that I won't trade. And to take it even
- 3:42one step further, like to make it more
- 3:44easier for me to not trade during this
- 3:45timing, I will set my block trading
- 3:47window here, right? So, this is where I
- 3:49can block trading for high impact events
- 3:51in this regarding the currency pairs on
- 3:54my watch list, and I can choose to block
- 3:56it 15 minutes before and after high
- 3:58impact news release. So, that's the
- 3:59first step.
- 4:01Ta-da, done. Check it off. The second
- 4:03step is to review your trade plan in
- 4:05Edge. Right, so this is where, as you
- 4:08can see, second step, review my trade
- 4:09plan. This is where I come on to my
- 4:10banner over here, and I will open up my
- 4:12trade plan, and I will go through step
- 4:14by step, you know, I'll go through my
- 4:15charting process, go through my entry
- 4:17criteria, I'll go through my trade
- 4:18management rules,
- 4:19uh entry criteria, everything, and just
- 4:22read it, you know, the goal here is to
- 4:23just get crystal clear on the process
- 4:25before volatility starts hitting, right?
- 4:28And then once that market review here,
- 4:29and then this is where I can check off
- 4:31like the second step of the pre-market
- 4:34routine itself. The third step is to
- 4:36analyze the charts with my trade plan
- 4:38right by my side, right? So, this is
- 4:40where, on Edge Flow, there's this
- 4:41feature that allows you to actually set
- 4:43a trade plan that you have created to
- 4:45active, just like this, and when you do
- 4:47so, it appears in your trading panel
- 4:50right by your side. This way, you are
- 4:52able to analyze the charts, you're able
- 4:54to follow the charting process on here,
- 4:56right? So, for example, the first step
- 4:57is to mark up my higher time frame
- 4:59range. This is where I will mark up my
- 5:00swing range, you know, my swing low, my
- 5:03swing high, so on and so forth. Uh just
- 5:06continuously like follow this charting
- 5:08process that I've laid out right here,
- 5:09and then once I'm done with all the
- 5:11chart markups, this is where I will end
- 5:13off the section by stating my daily
- 5:15bias, you know, whether I'm bullish,
- 5:16whether I'm bearish. If I'm bearish,
- 5:18where do I want to be entering the sell
- 5:20positions at, you know, where do I want
- 5:22to be trading from, maybe on the end of
- 5:23a sell right here, and why am I going to
- 5:26be selling at this price point here?
- 5:29Okay? So, yeah, this is where, you know,
- 5:31I can just set an alert at this area
- 5:33here as well, like maybe at the edge of
- 5:34this zone here, set an alert at 0.705.
- 5:37And then once price hit that 0.705 right
- 5:41there, it triggers my alert, it sends me
- 5:42a notification, it asks me to actually
- 5:44open up my charts to look for my
- 5:47uh trading opportunity and then this is
- 5:49where I will wait for my entry criteria
- 5:51to appear in the charts, right? Wait for
- 5:53my entry models to appear on the charts
- 5:55itself. And then once I got the
- 5:57confirmation to enter for the trade,
- 5:59that is where I will enter for the trade
- 6:00right there and then. Okay? Uh and also
- 6:03like just make sure that before you
- 6:04enter a trade, you review your exit
- 6:06criteria, you review your trade
- 6:08management rules, so you know exactly
- 6:10where to get out of if the trade idea
- 6:12does not go well and also if the trade
- 6:14idea does go well. And then also just
- 6:17review your trade management rules to
- 6:18just know exactly how you're going to be
- 6:20managing the position once you are in
- 6:22the trade. Yeah, so this is where I do
- 6:25my analysis, I do my preparation, I do
- 6:27my chart markups, I do my research just
- 6:29so that I can prepare myself so that I
- 6:31know exactly where I'm going to strike,
- 6:34right? So I know exactly what what I
- 6:35want to see the market do in order for
- 6:38me to actually enter for a position,
- 6:41right? So this is once again just part
- 6:43of the preparation process.
- 6:45In the next lesson, we're going to be
- 6:46talking more about how to execute trades
- 6:48on the trading panel itself, you know,
- 6:50how to actually enter for a buy and sell
- 6:52on at flow. Here's a bonus thing that
- 6:53you can do, right, as part of a
- 6:55pre-market routine. I didn't put it in
- 6:56here, right, but this is like a little
- 6:58thing that I do during uh the the
- 7:00pre-market routine. What I like to do is
- 7:01to check my existing positions, right?
- 7:04If I have any positions that was open,
- 7:06you know, that I held it overnight, this
- 7:07is where I come in here and just check
- 7:09how is it doing. And then this is where
- 7:11I might even want to like move my stop
- 7:14loss or take profit, right, if my plans
- 7:16actually allow, right, based on the new
- 7:17information that is reflected on the
- 7:19market itself.
- 7:20So, that's done. Analyze the charts,
- 7:22right? Like I said, this is the step
- 7:24where you do your chart markups, right?
- 7:25You determine what is the price point in
- 7:26which you want to enter the trade on and
- 7:28then you just wait for price to get to
- 7:30that price point. And then once it does,
- 7:32you trade. If it doesn't, you don't
- 7:34trade, as simple as that. The next step
- 7:36is some form of meditation or some form
- 7:38of breath work and that That where I do
- 7:40it in the sanctuary, right? so this is
- 7:43the last step of the pre-market routine
- 7:44because I want to shift my state of
- 7:46mind. I want to shift from going into
- 7:49from analysis mode to execution mode.
- 7:52Right, because like I said, you want to
- 7:53make sure that you prime your state.
- 7:55Right, you want to make sure that you
- 7:56get into a state where you are going to
- 7:59be trading like an absolute machine. Uh
- 8:01this is where I can downshift. You can
- 8:03calm down your parasympathetic system.
- 8:05You can calm down your anxiety or any
- 8:07emotions that you are facing and overall
- 8:09just reset back to a mental equilibrium
- 8:12before you start trading. So, this is
- 8:14where I will do like a quick little 15
- 8:15minutes meditation, right, to clear my
- 8:17mind, to ground myself in the present
- 8:19moment so that later on when I go on to
- 8:21the charts, I can see the market for
- 8:22what it is. Right, and I do that through
- 8:24this meditation timer right here. Okay?
- 8:27I can sit right in both, just come in
- 8:30here, sit down for like 15 minutes. Once
- 8:32done,
- 8:33this is where I will check off the last
- 8:35step of the pre-market routine itself.
- 8:38So, that's the entire pre-market
- 8:40routine, right? And you can see, notice
- 8:41how the pre-market routine button just
- 8:43disappeared, right, because you have
- 8:44completed your pre-market routine and
- 8:46now we want you to focus on execution.
- 8:48We want you to really just get into
- 8:49execution mode, get locked in, and just
- 8:52do what you need to do. And before you
- 8:53start trading, I want you to ask
- 8:55yourself these three questions, right,
- 8:56just to check yourself.
- 8:58Am I calm? Am I clear? Am I following my
- 9:00trade plan? Would I still take this
- 9:02trade if I was up big today?
- 9:04If the answer is no, if the answer isn't
- 9:06clean, if you're like, "Mhm, I don't
- 9:08know, you know, maybe." Then you need to
- 9:10do more preparation. You need to do more
- 9:12research. And you also need to make sure
- 9:14that
- 9:15you calm your inner state. And you do
- 9:18that by performing some form of
- 9:20meditation or even like checking out
- 9:22like the 60-second reboot box breathing
- 9:24exercise that we have given you here in
- 9:26the sanctuary feature itself.
- 9:28Now you know exactly what you're looking
- 9:30for and what you're ignoring, right?
- 9:33Like I said,
- 9:34the hard part about trading isn't
- 9:36spotting A+ setups. it's in ignoring
- 9:38everything else. And when you perform
- 9:40this pre-market routine, this allows you
- 9:43to spot A+ setups better, right? Because
- 9:46now you're preparing your charts, you
- 9:47know, okay, if price comes up here and
- 9:49it does this, okay, this is my A+ setup.
- 9:52That's a confirmation, that's the my
- 9:54trigger to actually execute the sell
- 9:56position itself.
- 9:57And most importantly, you also know what
- 10:00are the market conditions in which you
- 10:01want to avoid. What are the scenarios
- 10:03that you just want to stay out the
- 10:04market and do nothing? Because the most
- 10:06profitable position in the market is
- 10:09waiting.
- 10:10If you can just wait for a trade idea to
- 10:11present itself,
- 10:12this just allows you to have
- 10:16a huge competitive advantage over the
- 10:18people who just trade for the sake of
- 10:19trading, for to to just trade for the
- 10:21sake of adrenaline, right? For the sake
- 10:23of gambling.
- 10:24And that's how you
- 10:26just really open up your awareness and
- 10:29you're able to recognize the
- 10:30opportunities when they shows up. Just
- 10:32go out there, do your pre-market routine
- 10:33because your pre-market routine creates
- 10:35is consistency, and consistency is what
- 10:37creates edge over time. Consistent
- 10:40actions leads to consistent results. So,
- 10:43if you're doing the same thing over and
- 10:44over every single day, you're going to
- 10:46get a pretty much like a much more
- 10:49predictable results, right? Like I said,
- 10:51you will not guarantee you win, right?
- 10:52But you will increase the likelihood of
- 10:54you winning. You will increase the
- 10:56likelihood of you actually catching the
- 10:58A+ setups, catching the outside returns
- 11:00because now you have done the
- 11:02preparation. Now you're telling the
- 11:03market that I am ready to spot the
- 11:05opportunities when they do appear. So,
- 11:07now I'm going to move on to the entire
- 11:09trading plan. So, the next part is very
- 11:11important because this right here is
- 11:14going to be a simplified mechanical
- 11:15trade plan that you can use. And when I
- 11:18say mechanical, I mean there are rules.
- 11:21There are rules that actually govern the
- 11:23entire trading system. This is not based
- 11:25on guesswork, this is not based on
- 11:26emotion, this is based on tried and
- 11:28tested rules.
- 11:30Okay, when I go into the market, I'm not
- 11:32just eyeballing it. I'm not just relying
- 11:34on gut feeling. I'm actually trading it
- 11:36based on the rules that I have in my
- 11:38trade plan.
- 11:39So, now I'm going to go through the
- 11:40entire trade plan right here, step by
- 11:42step, and just walk you guys through the
- 11:44entire thought process. First step is to
- 11:47actually do your charting process. The
- 11:49reason why we do this is so that we can
- 11:51make sure that we know where we are
- 11:53trading. This is so that we can
- 11:55determine our trade bias, so that we
- 11:57know whether price is bullish or
- 11:58bearish, and whether we should enter for
- 12:00a buy or enter for a sell.
- 12:02All right. So, if you look at a 4-hour
- 12:03time frame just like this, this is where
- 12:06if you guys know market structure, you
- 12:08will know that when price is creating
- 12:09lower highs, lower lows just like this,
- 12:10we are actually in a bearish downtrend,
- 12:12which means that the sellers are in
- 12:14control, supply is in control, and price
- 12:16is going to continue going down. And
- 12:18then if price is going up creating
- 12:19higher highs and higher lows just like
- 12:21this, then we know that price is going
- 12:22up, okay? Literally as simple as that.
- 12:25You might think, "Okay, price has
- 12:26shifted bullish, right?" So, does this
- 12:28mean price is actually going up right
- 12:30now, or is price actually going down?
- 12:32So, this is where
- 12:34I would just really go ahead and map out
- 12:35the structure to really figure out what
- 12:37is my trade bias. Okay, so if I look at
- 12:39this right here, and on my 4-hour time
- 12:41frame I can clearly see price is
- 12:42creating lower highs, lower lows, right?
- 12:43So, price create a new high, push back,
- 12:46create a new lower high, goes down
- 12:48create a new lower low, create a new
- 12:49lower high, and then create a new lower
- 12:50low before price continue going down
- 12:52even further. So, this is where this is
- 12:55the most recent bearish break of
- 12:56structure. And since that's the most
- 12:58recent bearish break of structure,
- 13:00this means that technically this right
- 13:03here is our 4-hour swing range.
- 13:06Okay, so let me just quickly like show
- 13:08you what that would look like.
- 13:09So, if this is the most recent break of
- 13:11structure, this is the 4-hour swing
- 13:13high, which automatically means that
- 13:14this is the 4-hour swing low. So, this
- 13:17is the highest point that led to the
- 13:18most recent break of structure, and this
- 13:20is the lowest point that led to the
- 13:22pullback. So, 4-hour swing high and
- 13:244-hour swing low right here.
- 13:27Okay, so just by doing this alone, what
- 13:29I've done is that I have narrowed my
- 13:31focus to just the most recent four-hour
- 13:35swing range. Right, the most recent
- 13:36high, the most recent low, that's it.
- 13:40Once again, the reason why we are doing
- 13:41this is because we don't want to focus
- 13:43on what price is doing right here. Okay,
- 13:44we don't want to focus on what price is
- 13:45doing right here. We only want to focus
- 13:47on the present moment. We only want to
- 13:49see what price is doing right now. Okay,
- 13:51so that is why that's always going to be
- 13:53the first step is to determine the trend
- 13:54direction whether it's bearish or
- 13:56bullish so that we can understand who's
- 13:58in control of price, whether that's the
- 13:59buyers or the sellers.
- 14:01And in this case, since price is
- 14:02creating lower highs and lower lows, we
- 14:04know that sellers are in control of
- 14:05price. So by right, we should enter for
- 14:07a sell, right, to trade in alignment
- 14:09with that higher time frame trend.
- 14:11And next thing is to identify the swing
- 14:14range, right? What is the range in which
- 14:16you want to focus our energy on, our
- 14:18attention on? And when you do that, you
- 14:20can see that this is a four-hour swing
- 14:21high and four-hour swing low. That's it.
- 14:23That's the first step.
- 14:25Just by doing this alone, I can just
- 14:27really fully focus on what price is
- 14:28doing right here.
- 14:30I narrow my focus to this range right
- 14:32here instead of focusing on what price
- 14:33is doing right here. Okay, so that's the
- 14:35first step.
- 14:36The next step is what I like to do is to
- 14:39actually draw like a
- 14:40premium and discount tool. And this is
- 14:43where when we have a discount and
- 14:44premium tool just like this, this helps
- 14:46us understand whether the market is in
- 14:49the discount phase, right, whether the
- 14:51market is cheap or whether the market is
- 14:53expensive. Because if the market is
- 14:55expensive right now, if price is quite
- 14:57high right now, then I duly we should
- 14:59expect price to come down back to fair
- 15:01value. And if price is cheap right now,
- 15:05then we are expecting demand to step in
- 15:07the market to cause price to go up.
- 15:10Okay, so that's like the theory behind
- 15:12this premium and discount tool.
- 15:13So if I draw this tool right here, by
- 15:15the way,
- 15:16just going to share with you guys the
- 15:17settings. It's basically the fib
- 15:19retracement tool on the screen right
- 15:21here, right? So what you can do is to
- 15:23just make sure that you go to
- 15:24TradingView or Edge Flow, whatever tool
- 15:26that you're using for charting, go to
- 15:28fib retracement, and this is where you
- 15:30can copy these exact settings. Right?
- 15:33So, you can just put 0 0.5 right here,
- 15:351, and this is the background. Yeah,
- 15:37this is the exact setting that I I use.
- 15:38You guys can take a photo of this right
- 15:40now or take a screenshot, or you can
- 15:41always like rewatch the recording and
- 15:43just copy these exact settings. Okay, so
- 15:45that's the settings. So, what you want
- 15:46to do when you're using this tool is to
- 15:48actually map it out from the swing high
- 15:50to the swing low.
- 15:52Okay, so this was another reason as to
- 15:54why we actually map out the swing high
- 15:55and swing low
- 15:56in the first place. It's to so that we
- 15:58can actually narrow our focus to this
- 16:00swing range right here, and then also so
- 16:03that we can actually plot our premium
- 16:05and discount tool.
- 16:06Okay, so that's the next step right
- 16:07here. Okay, first step was to identify
- 16:094-hour trend and structure. Second step
- 16:12is to make sure that we are buying in
- 16:134-hour discount and selling in 4-hour
- 16:16premium. Right? Which means that we need
- 16:18to map out our premium discount tool.
- 16:20So, basically, very simple, you want to
- 16:22place this at the swing high just like
- 16:24this, and then place the other end of
- 16:26the tool at the swing low just like
- 16:28this, and then drag it all the way out
- 16:30just like this.
- 16:31That's it. Okay? It's a very simple
- 16:33tool. Anybody can use it. But but yeah,
- 16:36like like that's just it, okay? And how
- 16:38it works is that this upper 50%, right?
- 16:41Above this 50%, which is what we call
- 16:43equilibrium, this is where price is
- 16:45within premium territory.
- 16:48And below the 50%, this is where price
- 16:50is within discount territory.
- 16:52And like I said earlier on, if price
- 16:54comes down to the discount zone, then
- 16:56it's cheap, which means institutions are
- 16:59more likely to enter for large buy
- 17:01orders because it's cheap, which cause
- 17:05price to go up.
- 17:07And similarly, if price is actually
- 17:10within the premium pricing, this is
- 17:12where institutions within price as
- 17:15expensive, and they will short it, which
- 17:18cause price to go down.
- 17:20That's how premium and discount works,
- 17:23as simple as that. Which means that
- 17:26if price is actually in a downtrend just
- 17:28like this, we want to be shorting when
- 17:31price is within premium pricing.
- 17:33Okay, because this is where price starts
- 17:35getting a little bit expensive, and we
- 17:36can expect institutions to get
- 17:38interested in price for them to continue
- 17:40shorting it.
- 17:41They are not interested when price is
- 17:43down here.
- 17:44Okay, because when price is down here,
- 17:45this is where it's cheap, right? It's
- 17:48not a lucrative price for them to
- 17:49actually enter for shorts at.
- 17:51So, they're much more better off pushing
- 17:53price all the way up here, and then once
- 17:55price get a new lower high here,
- 17:57dumping the sell orders and causing
- 17:59price to continue in the bearish
- 18:02downtrend, creating like a new lower
- 18:03high just like this.
- 18:05So, in this case,
- 18:07you want to make sure that you are
- 18:08selling at your 4-hour premium.
- 18:11Okay?
- 18:12Selling at 4-hour premium.
- 18:16But, the next question becomes where?
- 18:18Okay, where exactly do we actually sell
- 18:20at the 4-hour premium zone?
- 18:24So,
- 18:25this is where you want to determine the
- 18:27optimal location to trade. And this is
- 18:30the same location in which you want to
- 18:32be identifying your entry models. You
- 18:35want to be getting your entry
- 18:37confirmation and your entry trigger.
- 18:39And that is the location. So, where
- 18:41exactly do we want to be selling it?
- 18:44Well, which brings us to the next step,
- 18:45which is to define your supply and
- 18:47demand zones.
- 18:49So, this is something that I teach uh
- 18:50inside my YouTube videos, inside my
- 18:52mentorship program, which is this
- 18:54concept called institutional zones,
- 18:57which is pretty much the point of
- 18:58interest that smart money are interested
- 19:00in.
- 19:01I'm talking about supply and demand
- 19:03zones, not ordinary supply and demand
- 19:05zones, but like institutional supply and
- 19:06demand zones,
- 19:08order blocks,
- 19:09flip zones,
- 19:11flip plus sweep zones, liquidity zones.
- 19:14Okay, so there are different point of
- 19:16interest in the market, which as the
- 19:19best location for you to actually look
- 19:22for your entry models and your entry
- 19:23confirmation. How do you actually define
- 19:25where is the price point in which you
- 19:27want to be shorting from?
- 19:29So, since we have identified the fact
- 19:32that we want to short at a premium
- 19:34pricing just like this, then this is
- 19:36where we want to make sure that we are
- 19:39selling at a supply zone. So, in this
- 19:41entire move right here, you can see this
- 19:42entire move to the downside, where is
- 19:44the most obvious origin point? It's
- 19:47going to be situated at the 4-hour swing
- 19:49high just like this.
- 19:50Right, so this is where you can use like
- 19:52a box tool just like this, and what you
- 19:54can do is to map out
- 19:56the entire range, right? You can see
- 19:58this entire consolidation just like
- 20:00this. Map out the entire range just like
- 20:01this.
- 20:03Or if you want to be even more precise,
- 20:05you can map out the pivot candle, right?
- 20:07Which is pretty much the candlestick
- 20:08that caused this entire reversal to
- 20:10happen, which is somewhere around here,
- 20:12right? This green candle right here.
- 20:14Because after this green candle, we got
- 20:15this huge red candle that caused price
- 20:17to absolutely collapse.
- 20:19Okay, so that's one supply zone. Is
- 20:22there other supply zones? Yes, there
- 20:23are, right? Because when price actually
- 20:25came down here
- 20:26and pulled back to this supply zone, it
- 20:28continued going down. So, this is where
- 20:30I can identify perhaps another supply
- 20:32zone right here.
- 20:33Okay, and then you can potentially see
- 20:35another supply zone right here. Because
- 20:37this is also where
- 20:38another situation where price did a
- 20:40pullback just like this and then
- 20:41continue going down even further.
- 20:43And so on and so forth, right? Maybe
- 20:45there's another one right here.
- 20:46So, right here, there are four supply
- 20:48zones, right? I've mapped out one supply
- 20:50zone here, another supply zone right
- 20:52here, and another supply zone right
- 20:54here, another supply zone right here.
- 20:56Okay, so what I'm going to do right now
- 20:57is that I'm going to name these supply
- 20:58zones. So, the extreme supply zone is A.
- 21:01The next supply zone that I've mapped
- 21:04out right here is B.
- 21:06And the next supply zone is C, and the
- 21:08most recent supply zone is D. Which
- 21:10supply zone do you guys think is the
- 21:11most high probability, right? That has a
- 21:14higher chance that price is going to
- 21:15respect. A, B, C, or D? This is where it
- 21:18gets interesting, right? This is
- 21:19something that perhaps people don't
- 21:21really understand.
- 21:24Is the more extreme the zone is, the
- 21:27higher the chance of it getting
- 21:29respected.
- 21:30What I basically mean by that is that if
- 21:32you look at these zones right here, A,
- 21:33B, C, D,
- 21:35if it's C and D,
- 21:38guess where it's located at. It's
- 21:39located near the equilibrium level right
- 21:42here.
- 21:43And if you look at D, it's completely
- 21:44within the discount pricing, which is
- 21:46exactly why it didn't work, right? You
- 21:48can see when price respected D, it made
- 21:50a minor pullback just like this, and it
- 21:51just blast right through it.
- 21:53Because of the fact that there is not
- 21:55enough sell orders at that point of
- 21:57interest because it's at the wrong
- 21:59location, because it's at a discount
- 22:01pricing.
- 22:03And then if you look at C, price
- 22:05continued Price did get a stronger
- 22:07reaction at C, but then eventually still
- 22:09blast right through it because price is
- 22:11moving towards premium pricing.
- 22:15Okay, so in this case, C and D is
- 22:17automatically eliminated because price
- 22:19is already like disrespected it, right?
- 22:21So, all because of the fact
- 22:24that it's located near the discount
- 22:26pricing, which is not where we want to
- 22:27sell from.
- 22:29And that leaves us with A and B.
- 22:31And this is where it gets tricky because
- 22:33people don't know how to like look for
- 22:35this properly.
- 22:36What I basically mean by that is that
- 22:38when you look at this A and B right
- 22:39here,
- 22:40people doesn't know which point of
- 22:41interest they should be selling from.
- 22:43Some people say that they should enter
- 22:44for a sell right here. Some people say
- 22:46they should enter for a sell right here.
- 22:48But they don't have a clear mechanical
- 22:50rule that tells them exactly when they
- 22:53should enter for a sell, whether that's
- 22:54A or B. And when you don't have a clear
- 22:56mechanical rule, you are relying on
- 22:58guesswork. The truth is, I have
- 23:01absolutely no clue whether price is
- 23:03going to respect A or B.
- 23:05I'm not a fortune teller. I don't have a
- 23:07crystal ball.
- 23:08And the best part is you don't need to
- 23:10predict
- 23:11what's going to happen next in order to
- 23:13make money from this market.
- 23:16All you need to do
- 23:18is to find the point of interest in
- 23:21which you get your entry confirmation
- 23:23from.
- 23:25And when it appears, you take the trade
- 23:27without hesitation, without guesswork,
- 23:29without emotions. That brings us to the
- 23:32next part, which is the entry criteria.
- 23:36Because like right now, if I'm looking
- 23:38at this right here,
- 23:39I don't know whether I should enter for
- 23:41sale right here or right here.
- 23:42Because this supply zone is high
- 23:44probability because it's quite high up
- 23:45in premium pricing. This one right here
- 23:47is also quite high up in premium
- 23:49pricing, but like which one? Which one
- 23:50should is price going to respect? Well,
- 23:52the truth is I don't know.
- 23:55I don't know.
- 23:57And I don't care. Because all I want to
- 23:59do is to see the entry confluences
- 24:02appear at either point of interest A or
- 24:05B. So, when price mitigate a point of
- 24:07interest, this is where I jump down to
- 24:09the lower time frame. All right, so
- 24:10that's the next step right here. Okay,
- 24:12listen.
- 24:13You don't jump down to the lower time
- 24:14frame until price mitigated at the point
- 24:16of interest.
- 24:18So, at this point of time, this is
- 24:19where, you know, price have came up to
- 24:21point of interest B.
- 24:23Cool. I'm going to jump down to the
- 24:24lower time frame right now. But if price
- 24:26is still like somewhere around here, and
- 24:28it hasn't mitigated my point of interest
- 24:29A or B, I'm not jumping down to my lower
- 24:32time frame. Very important, guys,
- 24:34because a lot of you guys keep on going
- 24:36down to the lower time frame to look for
- 24:37your sniper entries, even though price
- 24:39is not in optimal location.
- 24:41So, now that price has touched point of
- 24:44interest B, right, my 4-hour point of
- 24:47interest, I've gotten my zone
- 24:48mitigation. So, this is where I'll jump
- 24:50down to my lower time frame, which could
- 24:51be the 15-minute or the 1-hour time
- 24:53frame, depending on your trading style
- 24:54itself.
- 24:55Right, so let me just remove this
- 24:58right here. Just make things a little
- 24:59bit clearer right here.
- 25:01Okay, so what you guys can do is to also
- 25:03add like an additional time frame, which
- 25:05is the 1-hour time frame if you guys
- 25:07want, right? If you guys feel like the
- 25:09gap between 4-hour and 15 minutes is way
- 25:11too much, you guys can always add like
- 25:13the 15-minute time frame as well. Uh no,
- 25:15you guys can always add like the 1-hour
- 25:17time frame as well because it's like
- 25:18it's like the perfect sweet spot. So,
- 25:20this is where once price mitigate the
- 25:21point of interest just like this, I jump
- 25:23down to my 15-minute time frame or my
- 25:251-hour time frame depending on where is
- 25:27your lower time frame. And the minute I
- 25:29do that, this is where I search for my
- 25:30entry criteria, right? So, let me just
- 25:32like close the charting process and I
- 25:34just look for that entry criteria.
- 25:36There are mainly two things that I look
- 25:38out for before I actually enter for the
- 25:39trade.
- 25:40This right here is one of the 10
- 25:42different entry models I have in my
- 25:44arsenal and it's the most simple one,
- 25:46right? The reason I'm showing that is
- 25:47because it's the most easiest one. It's
- 25:48It's the one that anybody can
- 25:49understand.
- 25:51So, the minute price mitigate my point
- 25:53of interest,
- 25:54this is where I look for my entry
- 25:56criteria. Okay, so like I said, the
- 25:58minute price
- 25:59beep touch it just like this, go down to
- 26:01your lower time frame, look for entry
- 26:02model. Two things, liquidity sweep and
- 26:05market shift. Let me go through the more
- 26:07easy one, which is market shift.
- 26:08So, if you look at the lower time frame,
- 26:10what happened was that price has shifted
- 26:12bullish. Now, does this mean price is
- 26:14reversing and becoming uptrend right
- 26:16now? No, it just means that it shifted
- 26:18bullish in the short term so that it can
- 26:20actually
- 26:21facilitate the pullback to the premium
- 26:24pricing. To the supply zone that is
- 26:26within the premium pricing. That's why
- 26:28it actually, you know, shifted bullish.
- 26:30Which means that this bullish move is
- 26:32just
- 26:33a short term move, right? It's not the
- 26:35real move.
- 26:36Okay?
- 26:37But the internal order flow is bullish
- 26:39right now. Okay? That's what matters.
- 26:41The internal order flow is actually
- 26:42bullish right now.
- 26:44So, at this point of time, higher time
- 26:45frame is bearish, internal order flow is
- 26:47bullish, but because it's like really
- 26:49just bullish right now to facilitate the
- 26:51pullback.
- 26:53What you want to do is to wait for this
- 26:55internal order flow to shift bearish.
- 26:58Okay, I'm pretty sure that makes sense,
- 27:00right? You don't want to enter for all
- 27:04sell when the internal structure is
- 27:06still bullish because what can
- 27:08potentially happen is that price can
- 27:09continue bullish just like this
- 27:12and just end up taking out the 4-hour
- 27:13swing high and just continue creating
- 27:14higher highs and just continue causing
- 27:16the entire market to reverse. So, what
- 27:18you want to do is to wait for this
- 27:20internal structure to shift from bullish
- 27:23to bearish so that you can actually got
- 27:25a confirmation
- 27:27that the market has officially done
- 27:29bearish and right now it's going to
- 27:31continue with the higher time frame
- 27:33trend. So, this is where we we can
- 27:35potentially expect a new lower high to
- 27:37be formed and then later on price come
- 27:39down and take out structure right here.
- 27:41And this right here is what we are
- 27:42trying to catch. We are trying to catch
- 27:44the lower high. And you're able to
- 27:46identify the lower high to your highest
- 27:48degree of precision by waiting for it to
- 27:51come up to a premium pricing
- 27:54and a supply zone that is within premium
- 27:56pricing. Okay, so
- 27:58that's the location.
- 28:00The next formula is timing, right?
- 28:02Timing is pretty much your entry
- 28:03confirmation. When exactly do I want to
- 28:05enter for a sell if I'm looking at this
- 28:07entire move right here.
- 28:09So, this is where I'll get interested at
- 28:10the internal market structure and this
- 28:12is where you can see on the lower time
- 28:14frame price has created higher highs and
- 28:16higher lows like I mentioned earlier on.
- 28:17And this is where you can also map out
- 28:19all of your internal break of structure,
- 28:21right? So, price creating higher highs,
- 28:23higher lows, right? Maybe this is a
- 28:25internal break of structure, another
- 28:26internal break of structure, another one
- 28:29right here. And since this is the most
- 28:31recent internal break of structure,
- 28:33remember like I mentioned earlier on,
- 28:35you want to identify the lowest point
- 28:36that led to the break of structure and
- 28:38this is going to be your swing low and
- 28:39then this right here is going to be your
- 28:41swing high.
- 28:42Okay, so maybe I'll just put that in.
- 28:45Swing high
- 28:47or internal high, right? However you you
- 28:49deem it as.
- 28:51And now
- 28:53the market shift will only happen after
- 28:55price take out the 1-hour swing low.
- 28:58So, if I'm looking at this right now,
- 29:00this is the internal structure, yeah?
- 29:03So, market shift means what? Means
- 29:05there's a shift in the trend direction
- 29:08of the market. And since right now the
- 29:10internal structure is actually bullish,
- 29:12if the market were to shift bearish, we
- 29:14need to get a break of structure to the
- 29:16downside.
- 29:17We need to see price comes down and take
- 29:19out the last
- 29:21higher low just like this, giving us a
- 29:23market shift, which indicate to us that
- 29:25right now price is indeed shifting
- 29:27bearish. Supply has take control of
- 29:29price. Sellers have overwhelmed the
- 29:30buyers, and right now we are shifting
- 29:32bearish.
- 29:33So, that is the market shift, right? You
- 29:35basically want to see price take out the
- 29:37last low just like this.
- 29:39So, here's where price is at right now.
- 29:41Price is somewhere around here, okay?
- 29:42So, this means that the internal
- 29:44structure is still bullish until price
- 29:46take out this low.
- 29:48If price take out this low, then we got
- 29:49our market shift, and this is where we
- 29:51can expect the entire internal structure
- 29:53to start shifting bearish.
- 29:55If price respect this low right here,
- 29:57comes down, mitigate this low, maybe
- 29:59some demand zone right here, and
- 30:01continue bullish, this means that the
- 30:03internal bullish order flow is still
- 30:04intact, which means we have more room to
- 30:06go.
- 30:07Price is just going to continue going
- 30:08up.
- 30:10So, that's the market shift, right? The
- 30:11market shift happens when price take out
- 30:13a structural structural high or
- 30:16structural low. And in a bullish
- 30:18uptrend, you want to see it take out a
- 30:19structural low, and in a downtrend, you
- 30:21want to see it take out a structural
- 30:22high.
- 30:24Okay, so at this point of time, if I
- 30:26want to enter for a sell to know for a
- 30:27fact that the entire structure is
- 30:30shifting bearish, what I do need to do
- 30:32is to see later price comes down, take
- 30:34out this low right here.
- 30:36Take out a swing low, giving me a market
- 30:38shift.
- 30:39And what I also want to see, which is
- 30:41the second criteria, is my liquidity
- 30:43sweep. Okay? So, liquidity sweep is
- 30:46pretty much professional institutions
- 30:48hunting stop losses. That's it.
- 30:51And what you want to do is to identify
- 30:53the price point in which retail traders
- 30:55are placing their stop loss. And that is
- 30:58where the liquidity sweep is most likely
- 30:59going to happen.
- 31:01Basic concept right here. Below a swing
- 31:03low, there's going to be liquidity.
- 31:04Above a swing high, there's going to be
- 31:06liquidity. Because if a retail trader is
- 31:08entering for a buy at this swing low
- 31:10right here because they want to trade
- 31:11the reversal, they're going to be
- 31:12placing their stop loss below the swing
- 31:14low. Similarly, if they enter for a sell
- 31:16right here, they're going to be placing
- 31:18their stop loss above the high, and
- 31:19that's where liquidity is sitting.
- 31:21Okay, so liquidity is usually found
- 31:24above a swing high or below a swing low.
- 31:26Okay? Basic concept. There's other fancy
- 31:29patterns like double top, double highs.
- 31:31Once again, not going to cover all of
- 31:32those. You can check out my liquidity
- 31:34concepts video if you want to learn more
- 31:35about liquidity. You want price to take
- 31:37out the most recent liquidity.
- 31:39Okay? So, over here, you want to see the
- 31:42liquidity sweep happen at the point of
- 31:44interest that you want to be trading
- 31:45ideally. Okay? Ideally, you want to see
- 31:47some form of liquidity sweep happen
- 31:48right here.
- 31:49So, the minute price mitigate a point of
- 31:51interest, next thing you should
- 31:52automatically look for is whether price
- 31:54have a liquidity sweep. So, you look
- 31:56towards the left-hand side of the chart,
- 31:57and you try to identify where is all the
- 31:59available liquidity.
- 32:00Yes, there is liquidity right here
- 32:02because this is a swing high, there is
- 32:04stop losses right here.
- 32:06Yes, there is available liquidity right
- 32:07here as well.
- 32:08But, what you guys fail to take into
- 32:11account of is the fact that there is
- 32:13also liquidity all the way right here as
- 32:15well.
- 32:16This swing high is also liquidity.
- 32:21Okay, because after all, it is still a
- 32:22swing high. People who enter for a sell,
- 32:24they're going to be placing their stop
- 32:24loss above these highs right here.
- 32:27Ideally, I want to see price take out
- 32:29the liquidity right here that is formed
- 32:31during the pullback phase,
- 32:33and also the liquidity that is formed
- 32:35during the continuation phase on the
- 32:37left-hand side.
- 32:38Ideally, I want to see price take out
- 32:40both of these liquidity. I want to see
- 32:42price come up, take out this liquidity,
- 32:44cause price to reverse, and also take
- 32:46out this liquidity and cause price to
- 32:47reverse. Ideally, I want both. Okay, so
- 32:50that's the liquidity sweep itself.
- 32:53So now,
- 32:54what I do in this case is that if I'm
- 32:56entering for shorts today, and I want to
- 32:58get a extra confirmation that price is
- 33:00shifting bearish,
- 33:01I want to see price comes down, take out
- 33:03this low here,
- 33:05and it also swept the liquidity above
- 33:08this high right here, creating like a
- 33:09V-shape reaction just like this, and
- 33:11also swept the liquidity above this high
- 33:13right here.
- 33:14That's the ideal scenario.
- 33:16Okay, that's generally the ideal
- 33:18scenario.
- 33:20If I get that, then I got my liquidity
- 33:22shift, I got my market shift, and this
- 33:24gives me the confidence to actually
- 33:26enter for a sell position.
- 33:30Now, there is two ways where you can
- 33:32enter for this trade. You can either
- 33:34enter after price swept the liquidity,
- 33:36right? So, the minute price swept the
- 33:37liquidity from this high and this high,
- 33:39you straight away enter.
- 33:41This is what I call the aggressive
- 33:42version of the entry model. Super duper
- 33:44aggressive because you are assuming that
- 33:46price is just going to go down right
- 33:47now.
- 33:48If you are using this form of entry
- 33:49model, I would recommend you to actually
- 33:52place your take profit at a place where
- 33:55it's actually reasonable. Okay, so this
- 33:57is where we get into exit.
- 34:00So, where should you exit, right? So,
- 34:02now I've shown you how to enter, right?
- 34:03Which is the aggressive version of the
- 34:04entry model, right? Is you can enter
- 34:06Wait, no, I will show you the
- 34:07conservative version. My bad. So, the
- 34:09aggressive version of the entry model is
- 34:12asking you to enter right after the
- 34:13liquidity sweep. The minute price take
- 34:15out this higher, take out this higher,
- 34:17you enter straight away at this candle
- 34:18right here. Aggressive version of the
- 34:20entry model.
- 34:21Conservative version of the entry model
- 34:23requires you to wait for price to pull
- 34:26back to a point of interest, a supply or
- 34:28demand zone, maybe just like this,
- 34:31after the market shift is formed, after
- 34:32the liquidity sweep. Wait for price to
- 34:34pull back and then you enter for a sell
- 34:35at the supply zone that was formed at
- 34:38the liquidity sweep or created the
- 34:40market shift.
- 34:42And this is where you want to enter for
- 34:43a sell from.
- 34:45Okay, so
- 34:47once again, aggressive or conservative,
- 34:49it depends on your personality, depends
- 34:51on your trading style.
- 34:54Now, based on which entry model you
- 34:56choose, you want to make sure that you
- 34:58are choosing the right way to actually
- 35:00exit the trade.
- 35:02This is where you want to make sure that
- 35:04if you are using the aggressive version
- 35:06of the entry model, you want to manage
- 35:07your expectation, right? Because at this
- 35:08point of time, price has not officially
- 35:10shifted bearish yet. It's just you
- 35:12assuming that price is going to go down,
- 35:14but that's not what actually happens
- 35:15yet.
- 35:16Remember, we don't trade the market for
- 35:18what we are Now, we don't trade the
- 35:19market for what it is, we trade the
- 35:21market for what we are.
- 35:22So, you don't want to impose your
- 35:23assumption onto the market.
- 35:25So, you want to manage your expectation.
- 35:27If I'm entering for a sell right here,
- 35:29I'm going to be targeting this low right
- 35:31here. I'm not going to assume that this
- 35:33low is going to get taken out because
- 35:34price has not taken out the low yet.
- 35:38Right? So, this is me managing my
- 35:39expectation. This is me trading the
- 35:40market for what it is.
- 35:42And this is where I'm going to be
- 35:43placing my stop loss above the high or
- 35:45above the the supply zone right here.
- 35:48So, since I'm entering for a sell at the
- 35:49supply zone, I'm going to be placing the
- 35:50stop loss a few pips above the supply
- 35:52zone just like this.
- 35:55And then I'll place my take profit at
- 35:57the
- 35:58opposing demand zone.
- 36:00Okay, just like this. Manage my
- 36:01expectation because I don't want to
- 36:03assume that price is going to take out
- 36:04this low.
- 36:05This is the aggressive version of the
- 36:06entry model. That's how you manage the
- 36:08trade. You place your stop loss at a
- 36:10price point that invalidate your trade
- 36:12ideal and you manage your expectation
- 36:13when it comes to your TP.
- 36:16Okay, cool. Now, next up is the
- 36:19conservative version. Conservative
- 36:20version, same exact thing, right? So, if
- 36:22you're entering for a sell at like a
- 36:24Let's say a supply zone right here.
- 36:27Same thing, you want to place your stop
- 36:28loss above the supply zone and this is
- 36:30where you want to place your take profit
- 36:31at the opposing supply and demand zone
- 36:34like this one hour low right here as
- 36:35well.
- 36:36If you want if you already got a market
- 36:38shift right here then you can go ahead
- 36:40and maybe move it to the next opposing
- 36:42supply and demand zone but like I said
- 36:43you don't want to assume right? I'll
- 36:45much rather off you guys manage your
- 36:47expectation set it at a price point that
- 36:49is reasonable that you can expect price
- 36:50to gravitate towards next.
- 36:53And yeah, that's pretty much the entire
- 36:54trading process. Once you do that this
- 36:57is where you can actually do your full
- 36:59take profit right here. You can actually
- 37:01set a stop loss set a take profit and
- 37:03this is where my personal trade
- 37:05management method is that I just use set
- 37:06and forget.
- 37:08I just make sure that I hold a trade all
- 37:10the way through right? After I place my
- 37:11stop loss place my take profit I don't
- 37:13do partial profits I don't trail my stop
- 37:15loss I just take profit all the way
- 37:17through. Okay? So yeah, that's pretty
- 37:20much the entire trading plan. So let's
- 37:22move on to the next part.
- 37:25Right, let's move on to the next part
- 37:27itself. The next part is pretty much
- 37:30going to be
- 37:31the post market routine. How do I
- 37:33actually make sure that I journal my
- 37:35trades and all that stuff to ensure that
- 37:36I improve my trading performance at all
- 37:38times. Let's say you know what let's say
- 37:40I enter for like a bunch of trades right
- 37:41here and then let's say I decide to
- 37:43close a trade over here.
- 37:46By the way like the minute you actually
- 37:47open a trade there's this cool feature
- 37:48that allows you to document your emotion
- 37:50right? So this way we actually record
- 37:51your emotion and this gets synced
- 37:54straight to the trading journal. So you
- 37:55know exactly how you're feeling when
- 37:57you're entering for the trade and then
- 37:58the minute you close the position just
- 38:00like this you will also get
- 38:03a way to actually journal in less than
- 38:06five seconds right? You can take your
- 38:07emotion in there let
- 38:09yourself know whether you actually
- 38:10follow your trade plan and type any
- 38:11notes that you want to like type in here
- 38:13and you can even like do like a voice
- 38:14reflection over the trade itself.
- 38:18Yeah, but anyways
- 38:19that's pretty much like let's say today
- 38:21I've actually gotten a bunch out of a
- 38:23bunch of positions, you know, I lost
- 38:24like $242
- 38:26right here. This is where I will move on
- 38:29to my post market routine which is
- 38:30journaling and reviewing. Okay, so first
- 38:33thing first is to go to journal and this
- 38:35is where I would want to make sure that
- 38:37I actually start to take the time and
- 38:39space out to actually introspect. Right,
- 38:41so over here at a high level you are
- 38:43able to find out whether you actually
- 38:44follow your trade plan or not. Okay, so
- 38:46do you follow your trading plan? Right,
- 38:48what was your result for today? What was
- 38:49your win rate? What was your average
- 38:50amount to risk? What was the amount of
- 38:51trades that you took?
- 38:52How many trades you win? How many trades
- 38:54you lose? And whether you violated any
- 38:55guardrails. Right, guardrails is pretty
- 38:57much the rules that we have set earlier
- 38:58on. If you violate any of these, it will
- 39:00be documented right here. Right, just to
- 39:02give you an example on what that looks
- 39:04like, you can see if you actually
- 39:06violate a guardrail, it will show up
- 39:07right here as well.
- 39:09Okay, so like this is where
- 39:11Okay, like for example this day right
- 39:12here, I traded outside my allowed
- 39:13trading window. Right, so this is where
- 39:15it would get documented right here.
- 39:17And you will also see like whether you
- 39:18actually completed your pre-market
- 39:20routine right here as well. And this is
- 39:22also where you are able to see like the
- 39:24amount of trades that you actually
- 39:25journaled. So let's go on to like this
- 39:27trade right here and this is where I
- 39:29will complete my actually my journaling.
- 39:32All right, so this is where you will
- 39:33actually upload your chart screenshot,
- 39:34higher time frame, medium time frame,
- 39:36lower time frame. Right, maybe let me
- 39:38just give like a quick example right
- 39:39here. Copy this image over here. Go back
- 39:42to this trade.
- 39:43Boom, boom, boom. Okay, so the reason
- 39:45why I actually journal is because
- 39:47journaling is what allows you to
- 39:49actually get feedback. Okay, this is
- 39:51what allows you to actually understand
- 39:54how exactly to No, this is what allows
- 39:58you to get the data points you need to
- 39:59actually improve your trading
- 40:00performance. Right, so this is where I
- 40:02come and journal, ask myself whether I
- 40:03follow my trading plan or not. Right, I
- 40:05look at my trading data in here,
- 40:07put in what are the trade plan that I
- 40:08actually follow. Right, in this case I
- 40:10follow the market mechanics trade plan,
- 40:11put in the confluences that I actually
- 40:13actually enter the trade on. Right,
- 40:14liquidity sweep, market shift, whatever,
- 40:16put in the trade management method, set
- 40:17and forget, or whatever, and put in the
- 40:19mistakes that I commit right here,
- 40:20right? I can just dump it in and just
- 40:22add like a tag over here, and then put
- 40:23in my entry emotion and my exit emotion,
- 40:25and just overall add a note or voice
- 40:27reflection. Once again, the reason why
- 40:29you're doing this is so that you can be
- 40:31more aware, so that you can be more
- 40:32conscious of your unconscious patterns.
- 40:35Once again, very important because this
- 40:37is where you get the data points you
- 40:38need to actually improve.
- 40:39Once you're done with journaling, like I
- 40:41said, go and review your daily trading
- 40:42data. You can also review it on your
- 40:44dashboard as well, where you can see all
- 40:45your high-level metrics, all the most
- 40:47important metrics at a high level like
- 40:49your win rate, your average amount you
- 40:50bought, your profit factor, even your
- 40:52edge score, so you can see how you're
- 40:54performing not just like
- 40:55qualitative-wise, but also
- 40:56quantitative-wise as well.
- 40:59And also, I like to go and perform some
- 41:01form of like reviewing, right? This is
- 41:03where I actually
- 41:05come here, and this is where I go
- 41:08through
- 41:09a monthly review, quarterly review,
- 41:11annually review, and I can see like this
- 41:12is just like an example on how it works,
- 41:14right? And there's these templates right
- 41:16here which allows you to like just just
- 41:17go through that. Okay, there's a bunch
- 41:19of templates in here that you can
- 41:20actually use.
- 41:21Uh, but yeah, this is just an example on
- 41:23what I do at the end of each period, at
- 41:25the end of each month, at the end of
- 41:26each quarter. I like to sit down with a
- 41:28cup of tea and just review the trading
- 41:29performance, how many trades I win, how
- 41:31many trades I lose, how many trades I
- 41:32break even, and just overall look at my
- 41:35trading data, and actually get the
- 41:37feedback from here, right? Do like a
- 41:39huge process audit, do a huge
- 41:41reflection, so that I can make less
- 41:43mistakes, and I can understand more of
- 41:45what works, right? The goal of doing
- 41:47this is to just understand your strength
- 41:48and weaknesses. So, like I said, you can
- 41:50do more of what works and less of what
- 41:52doesn't. So, after that, I'll also do
- 41:54like a quick little meditation, right?
- 41:56Just so that I don't carry my losses
- 42:00through the next trading day. I just
- 42:01like to do like a overall mental reset.
- 42:03You can do this like breathing exercises
- 42:05in here as well, just to get you back to
- 42:07a mental equilibrium, so that you can
- 42:09approach the the
- 42:10session with a logical and rational
- 42:14mind. So, that's what my full trading
- 42:16routine looks like. Before the trade, I
- 42:19prepare myself mentally and also my
- 42:21charts as well. And just build context.
- 42:24When I am trading, I follow a mechanical
- 42:27trading plan with clear rules on when to
- 42:29enter and when to exit. And after I'm
- 42:32done trading, I journal my trades, I
- 42:34review my trades, and I use data to
- 42:37continuously improve and refine my
- 42:40trading plan.
- 42:41That is what professional trading looks
- 42:44like. That is what consistency actually
- 42:46is. It's not guessing, not gambling, but
- 42:49having a real process, a real system, a
- 42:52real framework.
- 42:53Because at the end of the day, trading
- 42:55success comes from process, not
- 42:58predictions.
- 42:59And like I said, most traders do not
- 43:01need more information. They need more
- 43:03structure. And when your system is
- 43:05clear, discipline just becomes a whole
- 43:07lot easier. That is the purpose of a
- 43:10mechanical trade plan, to reduce the
- 43:13emotional mistakes, to make your
- 43:15execution more repeatable,
- 43:17and turn trading into something you can
- 43:20actually measure and improve.
- 43:23So, hopefully this lesson has shown you
- 43:25that EdgeFlow is much bigger than a
- 43:28trading journal software, a
- 43:31trading signal group. It is
- 43:34indeed a full trading operating system
- 43:37that is built to help you plan your
- 43:38trades, prepare for the market open, to
- 43:42execute trades with god reals, to
- 43:44journal your trades, and to review your
- 43:46trading performance with more structure
- 43:48and discipline.
- 43:50Because that is what professional
- 43:51trading actually looks like. It's not
- 43:53sexy, it's not exciting,
- 43:56but it's methodical, repeatable, and
- 43:59extremely powerful when you do it
- 44:01consistently.
- 44:02And when you combine the strategy, the
- 44:04routine, the rules, and the software to
- 44:07gather. This is when trading starts to
- 44:10feel simpler,
- 44:11clearer, and more repeatable,
- 44:14and more profitable.
- 44:16So, if you guys have enjoyed this
- 44:17lesson, let me know down in the comments
- 44:19what is the biggest gap in your current
- 44:21process right now.
- 44:23Is it your trading plan? Is it your
- 44:25execution? Is it your journaling? Or is
- 44:29it your reviewing? Right, what's the
- 44:31missing piece for you right now?
- 44:33Let me know down in the comments.
- 44:35And with that being said, hope you guys
- 44:36enjoyed this lesson, and I look forward
- 44:38to seeing you guys in the next lesson.
- 44:40And as always, remember you're just one
- 44:42trade away.
