0:03you need to know. Marine spirits refer
0:05to demonic entities that operate in and
0:08have connection to water. Many cultures,
0:11particularly in Africa, the Caribbean,
0:13and parts of Asia, recognize them as
0:15spiritual forces that dominate rivers,
0:17lakes, and oceans. They're often
0:19associated with spiritual bondage,
0:21sexual immorality, and manipulation or
0:24nightmares in dreams and actually in
0:26real life. Now, here's a traditional
0:29African belief about marine spirits.
0:32Many times they're called uh mami wata,
0:34which is a uh pigglin English for mother
0:37water. It's a spirit that has and have
0:40been worshiped, honored, venerated since
0:431400s when Europeans brought their
0:45legends of mermaids to Africa. Africans
0:49mix their own indigenous local beliefs
0:52about female water spirits represented
0:54by fish, crocodiles, and snake with
0:57European mermaid ideas. And so, mummy
1:00water is a mermaid, often with a snake
1:03draped around her. She's exotic,
1:06semi-white female, beautiful, and
1:08seductive. She's associated with sacred
1:10lake or other body of water. She's
1:12worshiped in West and Central Africa.
1:15She's experienced by mediums who go into
1:17possession trends. Appears to people in
1:20their dreams, calls them to worship her
1:22and be a priest or a priestess. She may
1:24even have sex with them. She may give
1:26them wealth. She may require something
1:28of them in return for that wealth.
1:30Sometimes sexual loyalty to the mommy
1:33wat spirit means that the human cannot
1:35have his own or her own children.
1:37Sometimes the human may be allowed his
1:39own family. Sometimes a close family
1:41member must be sacrificed. Some of you
1:44may be listening to this and you're
1:45like, may maybe this is just a lot of
1:47fairy tales. But if you've dealt with
1:49deliverance of people who were delivered
1:51from spirits that I've just mentioned,
1:53you will see actually very common trend
1:55in their life that are signs of these
1:58demonic spirits that particularly occupy
2:00these territories that have particular
2:03signs. And here are some of the signs of
2:05the marine spirits tormenting people.
2:07One of them is witchcraft attack
2:10resulting in misfortune. Usuzuku in a
2:12peer-reviewed article mentions that
2:14witches are held responsible for many
2:17misfortunes in life including road
2:19accidents, ultimately death, failure in
2:22examinations, lack in promotion in
2:24public service, baroness in women,
2:26impotence in men, poverty and inability
2:29to get married. These misfortune are
2:31equally associated with mami wata as the
2:34source of evil. In specific cultural
2:37settings, witches are agents or
2:39representations of the water spirit. The
2:42other sign that the person might be
2:43experiencing a marine spirit tormenting
2:46them is spirit spouse. Again, Uzuk will
2:49mention some Africans believe in the
2:50existence of the spirit spouses who are
2:53betrod to humans. Their belief is that
2:55when one tries to contract a marriage
2:57with a person as opposed to a spirit,
3:00the spirit spouse becomes jealous and
3:02can kill the human spouse. The spirit
3:05spouse also prevents their victims from
3:07marrying a physical spouse or living a
3:10happy married life. And as a deliverance
3:13minister, I've seen it where a demon
3:16that claims to be a spirit spouse
3:18hinders the relationship prospects of a
3:21person and once that demon is cast out,
3:23those people don't have those spiritual
3:25hindrances anymore. The third sign of
3:27this marine spirit attacking somebody's
3:29life is constant sexual dreams. Again,
3:32in this peer-reviewed article, having
3:34dreams with sexual content such as
3:37weddreams or performing sex is regarded
3:40as evil and as a sign of mommy water
3:43attack. In another reference, a mommy
3:46water projects an expressive female
3:50sexuality. Her body is partially
3:52revealing with breasts exposed with the
3:55young woman's face to express her
3:57beauty. elegant hair arranged and
3:59adorned and with a heavy makeup. Her
4:02beauty is seen as a symbol of
4:03temptation. Her exposed breasts are
4:06interpreted as a sign of attraction,
4:08seduction, and also flirtation. By
4:10having multiple male intending wooers
4:13and admirer, she is defined as a harlot
4:16as she defiles the traditional
4:18expectation of fidelity in marriage. End
4:21of quote. The other signs of the marin
4:24spirit attacking someone is unexplained
4:26marital problems, sudden hatred and
4:28rejection in relationships, reoccurring
4:31water related nightmares or fear, or
4:34seeing mermaids or water spirits in
4:37visions and in dreams. You may listen to
4:39these signs of a mom spirit attacking
4:42someone. And if you are the person that
4:44is living under these attacks, you know,
4:46you need a deliverance. And I'm going to
4:47deal with that in just a moment. Some of
4:49you maybe who this is the first time
4:51hearing something like that, you think
4:52this is just a a bunch of useless
4:54information. Where is this in the Bible?
4:56Where I want to highlight few things
4:58that do allude to principalities and
5:02powers having connection to water. The
5:04first one I want to highlight is in the
5:06Bible the sea sometimes is a symbol of
5:08chaos and evil. A sea is often seen as a
5:12symbol of chaos and disorder, resistance
5:14to God's rule. You see in Revelation
5:1621:1, it says, "Then I saw a new heaven
5:19and new earth, for the first heaven and
5:20the first earth had passed away. There
5:22was no longer any sea." Now, for any
5:26person reading, they're like, "Oh, yeah,
5:27there was just going to be no sea." But
5:28this means that in the new creation,
5:30there will be no more chaos or evil,
5:32only peace and God's perfect order. The
5:35idea of the sea representing chaos is
5:38also found in the Old Testament. Genesis
5:401:2 says, "The spirit of God was
5:42hovering over the waters." This shows
5:45that from the beginning, God had power
5:47over the chaotic waters. In Daniel 7:2
5:50and 3, prophet Daniel saw four beasts
5:53rising from the sea, symbolizing
5:55powerful oppressive kingdoms coming from
5:58a place of disorder. These examples,
6:00they show that the Bible often connects
6:02the sea with chaos and rebellion against
6:05God, which helps to reinforce the idea
6:07that marine spirits do represent
6:08spiritual forces of disorder and
6:10opposition to God's kingdom. The second
6:12reference that I want to highlight and
6:14that is a lot more clear and that is
6:16Leviathan the twisting serpent. In
6:18Isaiah 27:1 it says, "In that day the
6:21Lord with severe sword great and strong
6:24will punish Leviathan the fleeing
6:26serpent. Leviathan that twisted serpent
6:29and he will lay the reptile that is in
6:32the sea." In Psalm 74:14, it says, "You
6:36broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces
6:38and gave him as food to the people
6:40inhabiting the wilderness." Leviathan is
6:43depicted as a sea serpent or a dragon
6:46that represents demonic power and chaos.
6:50Some scholars associated with Satan
6:52himself as a dragon in Revelation 12:9.
6:55The reference of Leviathan is often used
6:57symbolically for oppressive kingdoms
6:59like Babylon in Isaiah 27:1. But it also
7:03points to the spiritual warfare against
7:05dark forces that operate from the water
7:07realms. The third reference is Rahab,
7:10another symbolic water monster. In Job
7:1326:12-13, it says, "By his power, he
7:16charred up the sea. By his wisdom, he
7:19cut Rahab to pieces. By his breath, the
7:22skies became fair. His hand pierced the
7:26gliding serpent." In Isaiah 51:9 and 10,
7:29it says, "Awake, awake, arm of the Lord.
7:31Clothe yourself with strength. Awake as
7:34in the days gone by, as in generations
7:36of old. Was it not you who cut Rahab to
7:40pieces who pierced that monster
7:42through?" Rahab is another sea monster
7:46mentioned in connection with demonic
7:48rebellion. It is linked to Egypt and
7:50demonic oppression. The cutting of Rahab
7:52is symbolic of God's power over demonic
7:55forces operating through the waters. The
7:57fourth reference that you see in the New
7:59Testament of Legion and the pigs,
8:02demonic connection to water in Mark 5
8:0511-13, and I'll summarize it where uh
8:08demons wanted to be sent to the swine.
8:11And when they entered the swine, the
8:12Bible says, "Then the unclean spirits
8:14went out and entered the swine, and
8:16there were about 2,000 and the herd ran
8:18violently down the sea place into the
8:21sea and drowned in the sea." Legion
8:23represents a high ranking demonic
8:25network. Demons preferred water as seen
8:28in their self-destruction in the water.
8:31This could imply that certain demonic
8:33forces operate through water realms and
8:36attracted to water. And this shouldn't
8:39come as a surprise. There are
8:40principalities and powers in the air.
8:42And it wouldn't be a surprise to see
8:44some of them preferring water. The fifth
8:46reference is Dagen, the fish god, a
8:49water-based deity that falls in 1st
8:51Samuel 5:es 2-9. The Philistines
8:54captured the ark of God and placed it in
8:56the temple of their god Dagon. The next
8:59morning, Dagon had fallen and eventually
9:01his head and hands were cut off. Now,
9:03Dagon was a Philistine deity associated
9:06with water and fertility. Some suggest
9:08that Dagon had fish-like features and he
9:11was linked to marine entities. When the
9:13ark of God was placed in his temple,
9:15Dagen fell, showing God's supremacy over
9:19false gods, including water spirits.
9:22Another reference to the sea or to the
9:24water and demonic entities comes from
9:26Revelation 13:1. Then I stood on the
9:29sand of the sea, and I saw a beast
9:31rising up from the sea, having seven
9:34heads and 10 horns, and on his horns 10
9:37crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous
9:39name. The Antichrist's kingdom is
9:41symbolized as a beast from the sea.
9:44Again, the sea is linked with demonic
9:46power and influence. This suggests the
9:48idea that marine spirits are a real
9:51category of demonic forces that somehow
9:54prefer the sea. And now, if you are a
9:57person that is battling with these
9:58marine spirits, I'm going to give you
10:00some practical things that you can do
10:01today to experience freedom and
10:04deliverance. Number one is renounce and
10:07repent. Many people knowingly or
10:09unknowingly have ties to the marine
10:11spirits due to ancestral dedications,
10:14personal involvement with the occult
10:16activities, and ungodly sexual
10:18encounters. And your first step is to
10:20renounce and repent of any ties to these
10:23spirits. So confess any involvement
10:25through water related occult activities
10:27like consulting water spirits, wearing
10:30charms or receiving spiritual baths from
10:33false prophets. Renounce ancestral
10:35covenants that gave marine spirits
10:38access to your life, especially if you
10:40were dedicated to marine spirits because
10:42your parents couldn't have children.
10:43Declare the lordship of Jesus Christ
10:45over every area of your life. And
10:48there's a prayer point to pray. In the
10:49name of Jesus, I renounce and break
10:52every covenant made knowingly or
10:54unknowingly with marine spirits. I sever
10:57every agreement, sacrifice or dedication
11:00made by my ancestors or myself. By the
11:03blood of Jesus, I cancel every legal
11:05ground they had in my life. I declare I
11:07am free in Jesus' name. The second step
11:10and that is deliverance through Jesus
11:12Christ. Marine spirits are often
11:14deeprooted and complete deliverance
11:17requires spiritual warfare, fasting, and
11:19sometimes the assistance of an
11:21experienced deliverance minister. And
11:23here are some of the steps that you can
11:25take. One of them is engage in self-
11:27deliverance through prayer, fasting, and
11:29anointing yourself with oil. Another
11:31thing is if demonic manifestations
11:33persist, seek deliverance from a
11:36spiritfilled minister who operates in
11:38deliverance minister. Another thing is
11:40stand firm knowing that Jesus had given
11:42you authority over demonic forces. The
11:45scriptures that I've alluded to that
11:47talk about the sea, you see God having
11:49supreme authority over it and you can
11:51walk in that authority. Here's a prayer
11:53point to pray. Lord Jesus, you are my
11:56deliverer. I submit myself fully to you.
11:59By your blood, I receive total freedom
12:02from every marine spirit's influence
12:04over my life. I command every spirit of
12:07the sea, river, and water to leave me
12:09now in Jesus' name. I break their hold
12:12and declare my body, soul, and spirit
12:14belong to Jesus alone. Number three,
12:17break legal grounds. Marine spirits gain
12:20access through open doors, including
12:22sin, covenants, soul ties, and occult
12:25objects. Now, we mentioned the
12:26repentance. To fully break free, these
12:29legal grounds must be destroyed. So
12:32repentance of personal generational sins
12:34that have opened the doors to marine
12:35spirits. Now remember when you're
12:36repenting on behalf of your ancestors,
12:39it's not so they can be forgiven. It's
12:40so that you can be freed. Destroy marine
12:42related objects such as jewelry,
12:44artifacts, and tattoos and clothing
12:46associated specifically with mermaid and
12:48water spirits or mammy water spirits.
12:51Break soul ties with individuals that
12:53were involved in sexual immorality,
12:55witchcraft, and serve marine spirits.
12:58Like a lot of times in those parts of
13:00the world, people will have sexual
13:01relationship with you just actually to
13:04deposit a demon through sex. And yes,
13:07stuff like that exists and then the
13:08person after the sexual encounter has
13:11this demonic connection to this kingdom
13:13of darkness and these soul ties need to
13:16be broken. Here's a prayer to pray.
13:18Father God, in Jesus name, I repent of
13:20every sin that gave marine spirits
13:22access to my life. I renounce and break
13:24every covenant made by my ancestors with
13:27water spirits. I destroy every legal
13:30ground and cut off any spiritual link
13:32with the marine kingdom. Let the fire of
13:34the Holy Spirit consume any demonic
13:36attachment in my body, soul, and spirit
13:39in Jesus' name. Amen. Number four,
13:43engage in warfare prayers. Once marine
13:45spirits lose their legal ground, they
13:48will try to fight back through dreams,
13:50spiritual attacks, and deception. To
13:52maintain your deliverance, engage in
13:54aggressive warfare prayers. Use the
13:57blood of Jesus as a weapon against
13:59demonic attacks. Destroy marine altars
14:02and reject their dreams, visions, and
14:04influences. Declare your authority in
14:07Jesus Christ over demonic spirits.
14:09Here's a prayer that you can pray to
14:12wage war against the influence of these
14:14spirits. In the name of Jesus Christ, I
14:17release the fire of God against every
14:19marine spirit operating against my life.
14:22I break and destroy every altar,
14:25sacrifice or dedication made to the
14:27water spirits in my family line. I bind
14:30and cast out every serpent spirit, every
14:32Leviathan spirit, every marine power
14:35fighting against my progress. By the
14:37blood of Jesus, I decree my total
14:39freedom and victory. And lastly, avoid
14:43marine spirit contamination. Marine
14:46spirits use various mediums to reconnect
14:49to people after deliverance. One of
14:51their tactics is through dreams, media,
14:53and sexual immorality. So, here are some
14:55practical things you can do. Discern
14:57your dreams. If you see yourself
14:58swimming with mermaids, having sex, or
15:01encountering water spirits, cancel those
15:03dreams immediately after you wake up
15:05through prayer. Be careful with your
15:07media consumption. Some movies, music,
15:09and books glorify marine spirits. It's
15:11actually becoming popular now. Mermaids,
15:13water goddesses. Don't watch that kind
15:15of stuff. Don't contaminate and don't
15:17let that stuff inside of your life. And
15:19stay away from the occult. Do not
15:20consult witch doctors, psychics, and
15:22people who invoke water spirits. No
15:25matter how innocently those things can
15:27be presented, those things are playing
15:29with fire and they are demonic in
15:31nature. Here's some prayers that you can
15:33pray not to be contaminated. Lord, I
15:36refuse to be contaminated by any marine
15:39spirits. I break every attempt of these
15:42spirits to re-enter my life. I cover
15:44myself with the blood of Jesus and I
15:46shut every demonic door that was
15:48previously open. Father, help me to stay
15:50pure in my thoughts, actions, and
15:52associations in Jesus' name. Amen.
15:56Marine spirits are real and they seek to
15:58influence people through lust, bondage,
16:00and spiritual attacks. However, through
16:02Jesus Christ, through deliverance,
16:04through prayer, through fasting, we can
16:06overcome their influence and walk in the
16:09total freedom. John 8:36 says, "The Son
16:13has set you free, and you are free
