- 0:00Hello and welcome to this video on
- 0:02organizing your restaurant in Odo. When
- 0:04running a restaurant, you may face a few
- 0:06challenges. Organizing tables, managing
- 0:08floor plans, and ensuring that your
- 0:10orders are handled seamlessly. Luckily
- 0:13for you, in this tutorial, we will walk
- 0:15uh through setting everything up
- 0:16together step by step. So, grab a seat
- 0:19and let's bring your restaurant to life.
- 0:21First things first, let's set up our
- 0:23restaurant configuration in point of
- 0:24sale configuration and settings. From
- 0:28there, we will search for our restaurant
- 0:29in the point of sale dropdown right
- 0:31here. It's already selected. Uh, but
- 0:33just keep in mind that if you didn't
- 0:34create a restaurant beforehand, you
- 0:36would be you would ideally do this right
- 0:38now. Click on new shop and enable is a
- 0:41bar restaurant option. But obviously,
- 0:43it's been done here. So, for now, we'll
- 0:46just go into our floors and tables
- 0:48section, click on floors right here, and
- 0:51we will quickly go ahead and click on
- 0:53new to create a new floor. So, let's
- 0:56give it a name. We will call it the main
- 0:59floor. And another thing that we need to
- 1:02do is just make sure that we assign our
- 1:04point of sale from the drop down
- 1:06here. And also to vis just to visually
- 1:09match our restaurant, what we can do is
- 1:11add a top view picture. So I'll just do
- 1:13it right here just to represent what our
- 1:16restaurant actually looks like. And now
- 1:18that we have our floor in place, we can
- 1:20go ahead and add a table. So we can just
- 1:22do it here. Give it the table number.
- 1:25Let's say one also decide how many
- 1:27people it will seat. So I'll say four.
- 1:31And um we can go ahead and keep adding
- 1:34tables here. But actually it will be
- 1:36much easier and we will have more
- 1:38options if we create our table in the
- 1:40front end. So let's go and take a look
- 1:42at what that's like. So open register in
- 1:46a
- 1:47restaurant. And you can see I have my
- 1:50restaurant represented and I have my
- 1:52amazing floor plan ready for me. If I
- 1:55open the burger menu here and click on
- 1:57edit plan, I'll be able to add three
- 2:00more tables. For example, just by
- 2:02clicking here each time a new table is
- 2:05immediately created. And then I can also
- 2:07just move them to match the layout a
- 2:10little bit better just with a drag and
- 2:11drop like this. Um I can also adjust
- 2:14their size accordingly by simply also
- 2:18dragging and dropping my mouse. Um, and
- 2:21since the table, this table is square, I
- 2:23can also change the shape just by
- 2:24clicking on this. Now, if I wanted to
- 2:27change several tables at once, all I
- 2:30need to do is just hold down my control
- 2:32key uh or cmd if you're using a Mac and
- 2:36select the tables that I want to edit
- 2:39and then any changes I make are
- 2:41immediately applied to all of my tables.
- 2:43So now all of my tables are circular
- 2:45like I wanted it. So the same logic also
- 2:47would apply to any other configuration
- 2:49like the number of seats which is here I
- 2:52can put four
- 2:55um or also selecting a color for
- 2:58example. So we could put a
- 3:01nice orange color for my tables here.
- 3:04And of course if I want to create
- 3:06another table exactly like the ones that
- 3:07I already have all I have to do is click
- 3:10on my table and then select this
- 3:12duplicate option here. And I have
- 3:14another table immediately created with
- 3:15the same configuration. So I'll finish
- 3:18setting up the rest of my tables
- 3:19offscreen. But for now, our floor plan
- 3:22is ready to use. So let's actually just
- 3:24save that and let's take it for a spin.
- 3:28So um let's say that our customers came
- 3:31in and are seated on the table three. I
- 3:33just click on it. I can select the items
- 3:36that they uh would like to
- 3:38order and proceed with my order.
- 3:41Everything is immediately linked to the
- 3:42table. as you can see here. So, that was
- 3:45easy, right? I hope you enjoyed this
- 3:48tutorial. That's it for setting up the
- 3:49tables in your restaurant. And I look
- 3:51forward to seeing you in the next one.
- 3:53Thank you for watching.
