26. 0:54that the gun was fake and so he grabbed
27. 0:56it away from the guy and then chased him
28. 0:58off. Police came and did confirm it was
29. 1:00a fake gun. They did not catch this perp

48. 1:37are still very risk averse and I don't
49. 1:39begrudge them that, but it's certainly
50. 1:41something to watch. Look at the eyes and
51. 1:43see what their intent might be. Of
52. 1:44course, to do that, you've got to
53. 1:45actually see them. I don't know that the
54. 1:47guy sitting down here actually did see
55. 1:49the guy, but walking up with your face
56. 1:51completely covered but like this, huge
57. 1:53red flag, of course. So, now the guy is
58. 1:55going to come up here and draw a gun and
59. 1:58point it right at our owner. Now, I know
60. 2:00people all the time who say, "Well,
61. 2:02John, people don't actually do this.
62. 2:04They don't actually point a gun right in
63. 2:06somebody's face." Well, here we actually
64. 2:07see somebody actually doing it, which
65. 2:09happens very commonly on the channel.
66. 2:11One interesting bit here, you'll notice
67. 2:13he's doing it with his left hand.
68. 2:15And that is a little bit odd and a
69. 2:17little bit rare because the disarm
70. 2:19technique uh has to be adjusted just a
71. 2:21tiny bit in order to get the the gun
72. 2:23taken away from him. That's something
73. 2:24you can work on on the mats, but
74. 2:26recognize that it being in his left hand
75. 2:28does make you change things up just a
76. 2:30little bit here. Now, I love the fact
77. 2:32that our defender thinks about his son a
78. 2:34little bit, pushes him out of the way,
79. 2:36and then look at this disarm that he
80. 2:37does. Simple, fast, and full throttle
81. 2:39here. Just literally takes that gun away
82. 2:41from him. And and and if you think about
83. 2:43it, the five D's plus one went to work
84. 2:45here. So, the guy put the gun right in
85. 2:47his face, so there is the distance is
86. 2:48out of control. Now, he's going to
87. 2:49deflect that arm away from him, dominate
88. 2:52the gun and the hand with the gun, and I
89. 2:55think he combines that with the
90. 2:56distraction of how hard he hit him in
91. 2:58the arm, which then disarmed him and
92. 3:00took the gun away from him. Now, he only
93. 3:02did that because he said he knew that it
94. 3:04was fake. Okay, fine. If you know that
95. 3:06gun is fake, take it away from him and
96. 3:07beat him with it. Uh if you know it's
97. 3:09real, well, hey, wait a minute. Now, you
98. 3:11could still take it away from him, but
99. 3:12you better think about that because, you
100. 3:13know, the stakes are higher. Now, I
101. 3:15think that chasing him off and giving
102. 3:17him a bit of an educational beat down
103. 3:19here, I think is entirely justified.
104. 3:21Somebody points a gun at you like that,
105. 3:23uh a fake gun to try to intimidate you
106. 3:25and and take your stuff or whatever,
107. 3:27well, they deserve a bit of a
108. 3:28butt-whooping and this guy got it, and
109. 3:30I'm glad that he did. I hope the cops do
110. 3:31catch this guy, but our owner did a
111. 3:34really fine job of taking this gun away
112. 3:36from him and covered his asp.
