- 0:00We often say, "I am sincere." But is
- 0:03what you call sincerity really just a
- 0:07subtle way to look good? Sincerity is
- 0:12not a word, a status, a post, or
- 0:15something that can be proven before
- 0:18humans. It is a silent space that can
- 0:21only be pierced by the gaze of God. And
- 0:24when you feel certain that you are
- 0:26sincere, that is perhaps where your
- 0:28sincerity fails without you realizing
- 0:30it. Let us dive into the true meaning
- 0:34of sincerity that cannot be spoken but
- 0:36is felt by an honest heart. A sincerity
- 0:44that has no name. Sincerity is a word
- 0:47often spoken but rarely truly
- 0:50understood. It is so light on the
- 0:53tongue, but very heavy to embody. Many
- 0:57think that sincerity is merely the
- 1:00right intention or saying "I am sincere
- 1:03" aloud. Yet, true sincerity is not a
- 1:06matter of words, but an inner state
- 1:09hidden deep, even from oneself. When
- 1:13someone says, "I am sincere," their
- 1:15soul is not necessarily in a state of
- 1:17sincerity. In fact, true sincerity is
- 1:20often not even realized. It flows in
- 1:23the silence of the soul without needing
- 1:25recognition. There is a feeling that
- 1:28cannot be explained in sentences. It
- 1:30arises when someone does good without
- 1:33hoping to be seen, heard, or rewarded.
- 1:36Even when they are forgotten, hurt, or
- 1:39betrayed, their heart remains open.
- 1:42There is no disappointment, nor is
- 1:44there any anger. Like water flowing
- 1:47silently, it only wants to give, not to
- 1:50claim. This state is not born of logic,
- 1:54but of inner clarity forged by
- 1:57sincerity, honesty, and self-emptying.
- 2:01Often, humans want to be seen as having
- 2:04done good, remembered for their
- 2:05sacrifice, and praised for their
- 2:07earnestness. But that is when sincerity
- 2:10begins to fade. Because sincerity is
- 2:12the opposite of the desire to be seen.
- 2:15It is the act of losing oneself in
- 2:17every deed. A sincere person does not
- 2:19put themselves before their deeds. They
- 2:22do not say, "I have done this," but
- 2:24instead feel as if they have done
- 2:26nothing at all. Deeds born of sincerity
- 2:30leave no trace of pride in the heart.
- 2:34Sincerity is also not just about not
- 2:36wanting the world. Many think that as
- 2:39long as they do not want wealth, their
- 2:42deeds are sincere. Yet sincerity is not
- 2:45just about the world, but also about
- 2:47heaven. Even when someone acts out of a
- 2:51desire for heaven, their sincerity is
- 2:53not yet perfect. Sincerity is a deed
- 2:56that does not depend on any reward
- 2:58except His pleasure. Not because of
- 3:01wanting merit, not because of fear of
- 3:03sin, but because of love and longing.
- 3:07Because of the desire to draw near to
- 3:09Him, even if one must bear a pain known
- 3:11to no one else. It is indeed difficult
- 3:14to understand sincerity. Because it is
- 3:15not a concept that can be learned
- 3:17through theory alone. It must be
- 3:19experienced, felt, and lived. Sometimes
- 3:23, one only realizes they were not
- 3:25sincere after they felt they were. Thus
- 3:29, the wise do not boast of their deeds.
- 3:32They are, instead, fearful of their
- 3:33deeds. Because the deeper one's
- 3:35understanding of sincerity becomes, the
- 3:37more one feels they have yet to achieve
- 3:40anything. Sincerity is a light that can
- 3:43only be seen by a heart darkened to
- 3:45personal desires. The saints of God,
- 3:49the hidden holy ones, are never busy
- 3:51showing off their deeds. They do not
- 3:54stand in the forefront, do not mention
- 3:56what they have done, and do not feel
- 3:58ownership over any of their actions.
- 4:01Because they realize that all goodness
- 4:03comes from God, not from themselves.
- 4:06They are merely vessels for
- 4:08manifestation, not the owners of the
- 4:09deed. And this is the deepest essence
- 4:12of sincerity. The disappearance of the
- 4:14sense of ownership over deeds. The
- 4:16disappearance of the feeling that "I
- 4:18have acted," only God. Only for God.
- 4:21Only because of God. True sincerity is
- 4:24when someone continues to do good. Even
- 4:28though no one ever knows, no one ever
- 4:30rewards, and no one even cares. Yet
- 4:33their heart remains calm, not
- 4:35complaining, not disappointed, not
- 4:37demanding. Because what they see is not
- 4:39the world. Not people, not oneself, but
- 4:42only His countenance. That is why
- 4:45sincerity cannot be spoken. Because it
- 4:47is not a sound; it is a state of the
- 4:49soul. And only a silent soul can feel
- 4:53it. Between intention and the loss of
- 4:59self in the spiritual journey,
- 5:01intention is the first door that must
- 5:04be passed. But that door is not the
- 5:06final destination. A sincere intention
- 5:08is indeed the foundation of every deed.
- 5:11But as spiritual maturity increases,
- 5:13even a good intention can become a trap
- 5:16if it still contains "I." I want to do
- 5:18good for the sake of God. This sentence
- 5:21seems holy. But notice, the "I" is
- 5:24still there. There is still a doer who
- 5:27feels ownership of the deed. At this
- 5:29point, sincerity tests whether we are
- 5:31able to detach ourselves from the
- 5:33shadows of the deed itself. Humans are
- 5:36often trapped by intentions that seem
- 5:38straight but actually still revolve
- 5:41around inner interests. True sincerity
- 5:44actually begins when this self vanishes
- 5:46from within the deed. Not just
- 5:48expecting no reward, but not feeling
- 5:49like one is doing anything at all.
- 5:52There is no pride, no sense of
- 5:54superiority, nor any trace in the heart
- 5:57that "I have done something." At that
- 6:00moment, the spirit begins to enter the
- 6:03dimension of sincerity, a state where
- 6:05deeds flow by themselves like water
- 6:08without needing to be commanded. The
- 6:11loss of the sense of ownership over
- 6:13deeds becomes a sign that one has begun
- 6:15to touch the essence of sincerity. They
- 6:18no longer feel that they are the center
- 6:20. They are no longer busy comparing
- 6:23their deeds with the deeds of others.
- 6:26They are not troubled if unappreciated,
- 6:28nor do they feel proud if praised.
- 6:32People like this live in a silent inner
- 6:34space. They do not talk much about
- 6:38deeds, do not discuss the good they
- 6:40have done, and even tend to erase their
- 6:43tracks so as not to leave marks that
- 6:45could make their heart fall in love
- 6:47with itself. Sometimes, in silence, one
- 6:51cries not out of sadness, but from
- 6:53realizing that they have too often
- 6:54mixed up their intentions. He realizes
- 6:58that within his deeds still hide subtle
- 7:01, unspoken expectations. Wanting to be
- 7:04seen as good, wanting to be remembered,
- 7:06wanting to be called sincere. This is
- 7:08the subtlety of the test in sincerity.
- 7:11It does not always come from without,
- 7:13but often arises from within. When
- 7:16someone feels they are already sincere,
- 7:18that is where the true test begins.
- 7:21Because sincerity is not a statement,
- 7:23but a state that erases the need for
- 7:25declaration. Seekers of Allah
- 7:27understand that a straight intention is
- 7:29not enough if not cleansed continuously
- 7:31. Thus they never stop reflecting,
- 7:34never feeling they have finally arrived
- 7:36. For the path to true sincerity is a
- 7:39road that knows no end. It is not a
- 7:42one-night destination. Even the higher
- 7:45a servant’s station, the more they
- 7:47feel full of shortcomings. Because the
- 7:51light of pure sincerity cannot be
- 7:53united with even a speck of ego. It
- 7:56demands the total destruction of the
- 7:58sense of ownership, the sense of doing,
- 8:01and the sense of "I am sincere." That
- 8:04is why sincere people are often unknown
- 8:07to anyone, speak little, and seldom
- 8:10appear. But their deeds carry a great
- 8:12impact in the spiritual world. Because
- 8:15they act without wanting to be seen.
- 8:18And precisely because of that, their
- 8:20deeds shine in the view of the heavens
- 8:22—no ads, no spotlights, no
- 8:24recognition, yet witnessed by the
- 8:27Knower of the secrets of the heart.
- 8:30They do not live for popularity, nor
- 8:32for impressions, but solely for His
- 8:35pleasure. And that pleasure does not
- 8:38always come from human praise, but from
- 8:40the depths of a heart content only with
- 8:41Allah. When someone has entered true
- 8:46sincerity, all their deeds no longer
- 8:48serve a specific goal. They no longer
- 8:52act because they want something from
- 8:54Allah, but because they cannot help but
- 8:56act. Like a lover who loves not to be
- 9:00repaid, but because their love has
- 9:03become a part of them. Sincerity like
- 9:07this cannot be spoken, nor explained by
- 9:10logic. It can only be felt in the
- 9:12silence of a heart that has merged into
- 9:14His presence. And from there, all deeds
- 9:17become an offering, not a demand. When
- 9:25nothing is left hidden, there is a
- 9:28phase in the inner journey that is hard
- 9:31to explain, but profound when touched:
- 9:34when one begins to be totally honest
- 9:37with oneself. One no longer pretends,
- 9:42no longer hides behind excuses, nor
- 9:44deceives oneself with the guise of good
- 9:46intentions. At this point, one begins
- 9:50to see that many deeds done were not
- 9:52for Allah alone, but because one wanted
- 9:55to appear good. And here, sincerity
- 9:58shows that it is not just a matter of
- 10:01initial intention, but a total
- 10:03spiritual honesty from the outermost
- 10:05layer to the deepest core. Sincerity is
- 10:09not born from the desire to appear holy
- 10:12, but from the admission that this self
- 10:14is full of falsehood. When one stops
- 10:18defending oneself, that is when Allah
- 10:20begins to cleanse the heart. Because as
- 10:23long as someone is busy maintaining an
- 10:25image, building an impression, and
- 10:27upholding prestige, they are not truly
- 10:30honest with God. Whereas sincerity is a
- 10:32state of the heart that leaves room
- 10:34only for God. There is no other
- 10:36reliance, no other consideration, no
- 10:39other hope except for Him. And that is
- 10:42only possible if all masks have been
- 10:44removed. How many people appear sincere
- 10:47on the outside, but are actually hiding
- 10:50secret expectations. They perform good
- 10:53deeds with a smile, but deep down they
- 10:55hope to be noticed. They say it’s
- 10:58fine, but in their hearts, they feel
- 11:00hurt for not being appreciated. All of
- 11:03this is human and need not be denied.
- 11:06But what is important is having the
- 11:07courage to admit it. Because from that
- 11:10honesty, the door to sincerity will
- 11:12open. When someone admits they are not
- 11:15yet sincere, that is precisely the
- 11:17first step toward sincerity. Because
- 11:20God loves a servant who is honest about
- 11:22their failures. Truly, sincerity is not
- 11:25a garment to be shown off. It is an
- 11:28inner state that needs no recognition.
- 11:30Even a sincere person does not know
- 11:33that they are sincere. Because they are
- 11:35too busy keeping their heart clean from
- 11:38ulterior motives. They have no time to
- 11:41judge themselves. They only want to do
- 11:43good because God is worthy of being
- 11:45obeyed, loved, and followed. They do
- 11:48not wait for praise, nor do they wait
- 11:50for results. They only feel that doing
- 11:53good is part of being a servant, not a
- 11:55tool to obtain something. This
- 11:58condition is very difficult to reach if
- 12:00one has not finished with oneself. As
- 12:03long as there are inner wounds, hidden
- 12:05desires, and the need to be
- 12:07acknowledged, sincerity will remain
- 12:09covered by the fog of ego. Therefore,
- 12:12those who seek God keep struggling to
- 12:14peel back one layer of the self after
- 12:15another. They do not focus solely on
- 12:18the deed, but on cleansing the inner
- 12:20self from everything that could taint
- 12:22their intention. Because for them, a
- 12:24deed without sincerity is just an empty
- 12:26motion that does not reach the heavens.
- 12:29A deed that looks great can be empty,
- 12:32and a deed that looks small can shine
- 12:34because of hidden sincerity. True
- 12:37sincerity appears when someone no
- 12:39longer feels they own anything. Not
- 12:41even themselves. They no longer think
- 12:44about the results of their deeds. Not
- 12:46caring whether others know or not.
- 12:49Whether they are known or forgotten,
- 12:52they only wish to be a nameless channel
- 12:54of goodness. Like roots that absorb
- 12:58water for the tree, but are never seen.
- 13:01Like the breeze that cools, but never
- 13:03asks to be praised. And precisely
- 13:06because it is unseen, the deed reaches
- 13:08the heavens. Because what is hidden is
- 13:10purer than what is displayed. What is
- 13:13not announced is closer to God than
- 13:15what is boasted about. Sincerity is not
- 13:18a light feeling after doing good. On
- 13:21the contrary, sometimes sincerity
- 13:23brings a sense of loneliness because no
- 13:25one knows the struggle. No one
- 13:28encourages, no one reciprocates. But
- 13:31the heart remains calm, the soul
- 13:33remains at peace. Because they have
- 13:35fallen in love with purity. They find
- 13:38meaning in the silence. And that is
- 13:40where true strength lies. When a person
- 13:44is able to stand alone before God
- 13:45without needing applause, without
- 13:47needing to be recognized. Only He and a
- 13:51heart that continues to strive to love
- 13:54Him honestly. Deeds that leave no trace
- 14:01in the heart. One sign of sincerity is
- 14:05when a deed leaves no mark on the heart
- 14:08; it passes like the wind, arrives to
- 14:11provide benefit, then disappears
- 14:13without wanting to be remembered. This
- 14:17does not mean the deed is forgotten,
- 14:19but it is not used as a pillar for
- 14:21self-esteem. A sincere person does not
- 14:24base their value on their deeds. They
- 14:27do not feel more noble for having acted
- 14:29, nor do they hope for anyone to
- 14:31remember. For such a person, deeds are
- 14:34merely a means to connect their love to
- 14:37God. Not as a reason to feel superior
- 14:40before others. Many of us, after doing
- 14:43good in silence, harbor expectations.
- 14:46Hoping that others know, hoping to be
- 14:47praised, hoping to be considered a good
- 14:49person. This is a trait of a soul that
- 14:52is still thirsty for recognition. And
- 14:53this is where the difficulty of
- 14:55maintaining sincerity lies. Because
- 14:57deeds are easy to perform. But keeping
- 15:00the heart empty of subtle expectations
- 15:03is a lifelong struggle. Especially when
- 15:07praise comes, when thanks are offered;
- 15:09it is at such moments that a person is
- 15:11tested. Does their heart begin to grow
- 15:15proud, or does it remain dissolved in
- 15:17submission? A sincere deed is one that
- 15:20leaves no scent of "self" within it. It
- 15:23leaves behind no pride, nor does it
- 15:25harbor a feeling of being better than
- 15:27others. It is like a shadow following
- 15:31the body, yet never demanding to be
- 15:33seen. And precisely because it is not
- 15:36highlighted, the deed becomes pure.
- 15:39Because a deed tainted by the desire to
- 15:41be seen will quickly wither. Like a
- 15:45flower plucked from its roots, it will
- 15:47lose its inner life. But a hidden deed
- 15:51that is not publicized will continue to
- 15:53live in the sight of God. Sincerity
- 15:57does not mean doing nothing, but doing
- 16:00everything with a heart empty of
- 16:02demands. And full of the awareness that
- 16:05all of this is only for God. Even when
- 16:09someone does good and is then forgotten
- 16:11, insulted, or misunderstood, they do
- 16:14not get angry. Because from the start,
- 16:17they did not place that deed in the
- 16:18hands of humans. They surrendered
- 16:21everything to God. And whoever places
- 16:24their hope in God, their heart will not
- 16:27be shaken by how harshly humans treat
- 16:29them. People who have entered the space
- 16:33of true sincerity often do not realize
- 16:35the presence of their deeds. When asked
- 16:38what they have done, they feel they
- 16:41have done nothing because, in their
- 16:43view, it is all small. A deed, no
- 16:46matter how small, done without
- 16:48sincerity feels large in the heart of
- 16:50someone who loves praise. But a deed,
- 16:54no matter how large, done with
- 16:55sincerity will feel light and not need
- 16:57to be mentioned. They do not collect
- 17:01deeds as a trophy of pride, but instead
- 17:03feel they have never truly done enough
- 17:05for God. They do not feel special for
- 17:08being able to do good. Instead, they
- 17:10fear that their deeds might be ruined
- 17:13by showing off, arrogance, or hidden
- 17:15motives. So, after doing good deeds,
- 17:17they do not lower their guard. They
- 17:20become even more humble, quiet, and
- 17:23pray more that their deeds are accepted
- 17:25. Because they know Allah does not look
- 17:29at the quantity, but at the depth of
- 17:31intent and purity of heart. They do not
- 17:34care whether the world sees them or not
- 17:36. What they worry about is only whether
- 17:39Allah is pleased or not. Deeds that
- 17:42leave no trace on the heart are easy to
- 17:44carry to the afterlife. They do not
- 17:47bind, burden, or weigh one down.
- 17:50Because they are as pure as clear water
- 17:53, and clear water is always refreshing.
- 17:57A heart that acts with sincerity is the
- 17:59same. Not heated by envy, not restless
- 18:02from judgment, not busy demanding
- 18:05recognition. It only looks in one
- 18:07direction: the face of Allah. And that
- 18:11is the only spectator worthy of hidden
- 18:14deeds born of love, not ego. When deeds
- 18:22no longer demand a reward. Sincere
- 18:25deeds do not demand a return. Not even
- 18:28from people, nor even from Allah. This
- 18:31is a very high station that is not easy
- 18:33to understand, let alone live. Because
- 18:37human nature is to hope. When doing
- 18:39good, it is natural to want to be
- 18:41treated well in return. When giving, it
- 18:44is natural to hope for something in
- 18:46return. But at the peak of sincerity,
- 18:49all those hopes vanish. One no longer
- 18:52measures their deeds by the reward.
- 18:55They no longer say in their heart, "May
- 18:57Allah reward this deed." But they only
- 19:00want one thing: just to be with Allah.
- 19:04In this state, one continues to do good
- 19:08even without rewards, promises, or
- 19:10thanks. Even if they receive hurt, they
- 19:15keep giving, keep helping, and keep
- 19:17smiling. Because their deeds are not
- 19:21reactions to others, but expressions of
- 19:23love for Allah. They do not say, "I
- 19:26will be good to those who are good to
- 19:29me." But they say, "I keep doing good
- 19:32because it is my form of servitude."
- 19:36And servitude is not exchanged for
- 19:38wages. It is total submission to His
- 19:41will, not a transaction seeking profit.
- 19:46Someone who has immersed themselves in
- 19:47sincerity does not keep a list of good
- 19:49deeds. They do not record what they
- 19:52have done for others. Because they feel
- 19:55that none of it belongs to them. They
- 19:58do not keep in their heart, "I once
- 20:01helped you.""I once sacrificed for you.
- 20:04" Even when the person they helped
- 20:06turns around to hurt them. They do not
- 20:09demand, feel disappointed, or regret.
- 20:13Because they realize they are not
- 20:15giving to humans, but presenting deeds
- 20:18to Allah. And those deeds are never in
- 20:22vain to Him, even if ignored by
- 20:24creatures. This attitude does not come
- 20:28suddenly; it is the fruit of a long
- 20:30journey of subduing the ego. The ego
- 20:34that wants to be praised, rewarded, and
- 20:36respected. The ego that complains when
- 20:39its kindness is not acknowledged. All
- 20:43of that slowly dissolves as someone
- 20:45constantly purifies their intentions,
- 20:47sharpens their soul, and cleanses their
- 20:49heart of hidden agendas. Until at one
- 20:53point, they no longer expect anyone to
- 20:55understand them. They know well enough
- 20:58that Allah is all-knowing, and that is
- 21:00enough. Deeds that do not demand a
- 21:02reward do not foster disappointment.
- 21:04Because disappointment is born only
- 21:06from expectations. When someone hopes
- 21:08to be appreciated and is then ignored,
- 21:11disappointment arises. But a sincere
- 21:13person places no hope outside of
- 21:15themselves. They do not expect the
- 21:17world to repay them, nor for creatures
- 21:19to understand. Because their heart is
- 21:22already full with the awareness that
- 21:24all they do is not for anyone, but only
- 21:26for Him. And because of that, they
- 21:29remain calm, not caring whether they
- 21:31are repaid or not, accepted or not,
- 21:34appreciated or not. There is a
- 21:36tremendous spiritual strength in
- 21:38sincerity. It enables someone to endure
- 21:41wounds without resentment. Able to face
- 21:43rejection without losing their way.
- 21:46Able to bear injustice without
- 21:48retaliating. Not because they are weak,
- 21:51but because their heart has become
- 21:52strong enough to hold love. They do not
- 21:55measure their self-worth by how others
- 21:58treat them. They only focus on how
- 22:01Allah views them. And that is enough to
- 22:04be a light in the darkness, a lamp when
- 22:07no one is watching. Deeds done with
- 22:11sincerity will continue to be done even
- 22:14when no one is watching. Even when
- 22:18those deeds bring trials instead of
- 22:21ease. And at that point, someone truly
- 22:24merges with the spirit of servitude.
- 22:27They act not to demand, but because it
- 22:30is part of their innate nature that has
- 22:32returned. Like the sun that keeps
- 22:35shining even if not everyone is
- 22:37grateful for its light. Like the earth
- 22:40that keeps growing things even though
- 22:42it is often trampled upon. That is
- 22:44sincerity. It keeps on giving. Because
- 22:47what they look at is not the response
- 22:49of creatures, but the face of their
- 22:50Lord. The lightness felt after letting
- 22:57go. There is a relief that does not
- 23:02come from the world and cannot be
- 23:03bought by anything, the lightness of
- 23:05heart once it no longer ties itself to
- 23:07its deeds. Not because the deeds are
- 23:11forgotten, but because one has removed
- 23:13the "ego" from every good deed
- 23:15performed. They no longer place weight
- 23:18on their own role. They do not make
- 23:20themselves the center of the story of
- 23:22deeds that have passed. And because of
- 23:24that, their heart becomes light. There
- 23:27is nothing to demand. Nothing to worry
- 23:29about, no burden to uphold. This is the
- 23:33spiritual freedom born from true
- 23:35sincerity. When someone still keeps
- 23:38traces of their good deeds in their
- 23:41heart, at the same time they carry an
- 23:43invisible burden. They might feel
- 23:47neglected. Feel hurt if not appreciated
- 23:51, or feel offended if not mentioned.
- 23:54All of this becomes internal chains
- 23:56that bind one's spiritual steps. And
- 23:59unconsciously, all of that arises from
- 24:01the desire to remain the main actor in
- 24:04deeds that should have been surrendered
- 24:06entirely to Allah. So, sincerity will
- 24:10always demand one thing: the shattering
- 24:12of the ego. Yet, destroying the ego is
- 24:15not an easy matter. Because the ego
- 24:17hides in many forms. It can disguise
- 24:21itself as good intentions, slip into
- 24:23words of surrender, or even hide behind
- 24:26prayers. How many people seem to pray
- 24:30with such hope, yet in their prayers,
- 24:32anger is hidden. Why have I not been
- 24:35answered? As if they are demanding a
- 24:38reward for the deeds they have
- 24:39performed. So, to reach sincerity, one
- 24:43must pass through stages of inner
- 24:45destruction. Until finally, they truly
- 24:48let go of all hope in anything other
- 24:50than Allah. When someone no longer
- 24:53brings their self into every deed, they
- 24:55begin to feel spiritual miracles. They
- 24:58begin to feel that every deed performed
- 25:01feels light, as if they were not the
- 25:03one doing it. They only become the path
- 25:06, not the doer. They feel that
- 25:08everything they do is merely a command
- 25:11from Him that flows through them. And
- 25:14that is precisely where they feel most
- 25:17alive, most honest, and closest to the
- 25:19essence of servitude. They have exited
- 25:22the prison of the ego and entered the
- 25:24vast expanse of submission. A servant
- 25:27like this is no longer busy questioning
- 25:29the outcome. They are not restless if
- 25:31their efforts seem to fail. Not anxious
- 25:34if their kindness brings no change.
- 25:37Because for them, their duty is not to
- 25:39change the outcome, but to keep the
- 25:41heart pure in their deeds. They do not
- 25:45need to be remembered, praised, or even
- 25:47acknowledged. Because everything they
- 25:50do is not for that. They only want to
- 25:53be the reason goodness exists without
- 25:55needing to be identified as the cause.
- 25:57And here lies the secret to true
- 25:59happiness. When someone gives but does
- 26:02not feel that they have given. Imagine
- 26:06a hand that gives but does not record
- 26:08what was given. Imagine a step that
- 26:12moves toward others but leaves no trace
- 26:14of hidden motive. That is what happens
- 26:18when someone is truly sincere. They do
- 26:21not look back to demand recognition.
- 26:24They do not calculate to ensure their
- 26:26deeds match their reward. They walk
- 26:29lightly because their soul is free from
- 26:31the urge to perform, be appreciated, or
- 26:34be remembered. And every such deed will
- 26:37rise to the heavens without being held
- 26:39back by anything. Sincerity makes one
- 26:42feel enough despite having nothing,
- 26:44feel calm despite being misunderstood,
- 26:47and feel peaceful despite not being
- 26:49respected. Because they do not hang
- 26:52their self-worth on human judgment.
- 26:54They only want to keep walking on the
- 26:56path of goodness. With head bowed, a
- 26:59heart empty of worldly ambition, and a
- 27:02spirit full of gratitude. They do not
- 27:05feel they have arrived. Instead, they
- 27:08always feel they are nothing, and that
- 27:11feeling keeps them straight, humble,
- 27:14silent when praised, and calm when
- 27:17forgotten. When sincerity is tested by
- 27:25bitterness, true sincerity is not born
- 27:28in a comfortable space. It actually
- 27:31thrives in hard soil. When wounds come,
- 27:34when sacrifices are unappreciated, when
- 27:36kindness is met with prejudice, and
- 27:39when sincere love is met with betrayal.
- 27:42At those points, the level of one's
- 27:44sincerity is truly tested. For as long
- 27:48as deeds are met with kindness, smiles
- 27:50returned with smiles, and help met with
- 27:53gratitude, sincerity has yet to truly
- 27:56reveal its form. It only reveals its
- 28:00most honest light when all such returns
- 28:02vanish and one still chooses to keep
- 28:05doing good. Many people do good deeds
- 28:08easily because they are met with praise
- 28:11. But what if, instead, they receive
- 28:14slander? What if their good intentions
- 28:17are misunderstood? What if they are
- 28:20insulted for something they actually
- 28:22did with sincerity? That is when the
- 28:26ego wants to speak, to defend itself,
- 28:28and to demand to be appreciated. But if
- 28:32one is able to be silent, keep smiling,
- 28:34and continue their good deeds even when
- 28:36their heart aches, that is where
- 28:38sincerity is shaping them into a true
- 28:40servant. Because sincerity is not just
- 28:44the ability to give, but the
- 28:46steadfastness to not stop giving when
- 28:48the world refuses. Often, God lets
- 28:52someone feel the pain of unappreciated
- 28:54kindness. Not because God is unfair,
- 28:59but because He wants to cultivate
- 29:01something higher so that the deed is
- 29:04offered truly only to Him. When someone
- 29:08does something and expects a positive
- 29:10response from people, God might present
- 29:13the opposite. Not to hurt, but to
- 29:17cleanse. Cleansing the deed from
- 29:20expectations other than Him. Cleansing
- 29:24the heart from deceptive praise.
- 29:27Cleansing the soul from the desire to
- 29:29be seen. If reflected upon, how great
- 29:32is God's love when He tests a person's
- 29:35sincerity. Because through that test, a
- 29:37person is forced to return to their
- 29:39initial intention. For whom am I doing
- 29:42all of this? If the answer is only God,
- 29:46then there is no reason to stop. Even
- 29:49if the world mocks, even if friends
- 29:52turn away, even if no one defends you,
- 29:54precisely because nothing else is left,
- 29:57all that remains is Him. And when only
- 30:00God is the reason, that is the essence
- 30:03of sincerity. Unconditional, unaffected
- 30:06, unshakable. People who have endured
- 30:09bitterness after bitterness, yet still
- 30:11choose the path of sincerity. Their
- 30:14spirit becomes strong, their soul
- 30:15becomes light, and their insight
- 30:17becomes deep. They are no longer easily
- 30:20disturbed by the judgment of others.
- 30:22Not anxious when forgotten, not broken
- 30:25when cast down. They know that every
- 30:27wound they endure is a spiritual lesson
- 30:29. Every insult is a test. Every
- 30:32rejection is a mirror. And all of that
- 30:35is not to lower their self-worth, but
- 30:37to elevate the status of their soul.
- 30:40Because there is no true sincerity
- 30:41without the destruction of the ego.
- 30:44Sincerity in bitterness is the pinnacle
- 30:46of spiritual maturity. It teaches that
- 30:48not all kindness must be appreciated.
- 30:51Not all love must be returned. Not all
- 30:54sacrifice must be understood. Because
- 30:57for a sincere soul, it is enough that
- 30:59God knows. It is enough that the deed
- 31:02has reached Him. No need for
- 31:04recognition, no need for applause. And
- 31:07if tears still fall, let them be a
- 31:10witness that this heart is being
- 31:12trained to love unconditionally, to
- 31:15give without agenda, and to live not to
- 31:18demand, but to submit. When people
- 31:22leave, when the world falls silent, and
- 31:25only solitude shrouds your steps, that
- 31:28is when sincerity finds its true form.
- 31:32Because when there is no one left to
- 31:34lean on, only Allah becomes the place
- 31:37to depend. So trials are not a sign
- 31:39that Allah is distant, but rather
- 31:41Allah’s way of drawing us closer. And
- 31:44if in bitterness someone still chooses
- 31:46to be sincere, then they have released
- 31:48the heaviest burden in life. The desire
- 31:52to have something returned from what
- 31:54they gave. When deeds become a secret
- 32:01between Me and Him, there is a
- 32:03spiritual dimension that is very subtle
- 32:05, almost invisible to the eyes of the
- 32:08world. Deeds that no one knows except
- 32:12Allah. Not announced, not written, not
- 32:16told, and no recognition is sought. It
- 32:20is a silent secret between a servant
- 32:22and their Lord. Behind closed doors, in
- 32:26the quiet darkness of the night, in a
- 32:29solitude without witnesses, someone
- 32:32raises their hands in prostration,
- 32:34giving, helping, yielding, or
- 32:37restraining anger solely to be seen by
- 32:40Him, not by humans. This is where
- 32:43sincerity reaches its most refined form
- 32:45, when deeds become a secret that is
- 32:47not revealed. This era is full of noise
- 32:50. Everything wants to be showcased,
- 32:53everything wants to be displayed. Even
- 32:56kindness, even charity, even tears in
- 32:59prayer are sometimes recorded. So
- 33:02finding hidden deeds becomes
- 33:04increasingly rare, yet it is in that
- 33:07concealment that the light of sincerity
- 33:09shines the brightest. There is no
- 33:12praise, no social validation, no titles
- 33:15or appreciation. But the soul feels
- 33:18sufficient, the heart feels satisfied,
- 33:20the inner self feels calm. Because
- 33:22those deeds are truly free from the
- 33:24interference of the world. And Allah
- 33:27loves deeds like that, which are not
- 33:29meant to be seen by anyone but Him.
- 33:32Hidden deeds are a mirror of genuine
- 33:35sincerity. Because those who are able
- 33:38to hide their kindness from humans have
- 33:40usually unified their intentions solely
- 33:43for Allah. They are not afraid of not
- 33:45being known. They are not busy
- 33:47explaining themselves. They are not
- 33:49worried if others think they have done
- 33:51nothing at all. Because what they
- 33:53pursue is not the view of creatures,
- 33:55but the view of the Lord. And strangely
- 33:58, it is precisely deeds like these that
- 34:00Allah most often raises in status.
- 34:03Small, simple, silent deeds, but
- 34:05performed with a pure heart. There are
- 34:10even people whose deeds are so hidden
- 34:12that when they pass away, only then
- 34:15does the world know they had helped,
- 34:17sacrificed, and loved without ever
- 34:19mentioning it during their lifetime.
- 34:23They lived quietly, not wanting to be
- 34:25on top, not wanting to be remembered.
- 34:27But after their departure, Allah
- 34:29reveals the traces of those deeds to
- 34:31serve as a lesson for the living. That
- 34:35it is not popularity that elevates
- 34:37status, but hidden sincerity. It is not
- 34:40a well-known name that causes mercy,
- 34:43but secret deeds recorded by angels
- 34:46without anyone knowing. And those
- 34:49hidden deeds are often the hardest to
- 34:53perform. Because it is human nature to
- 34:55want to be heard, to want to be
- 34:57recognized. But when someone is able to
- 35:00resist that urge, able to suppress the
- 35:03need to explain their good deeds and
- 35:05choose silence, they have fought
- 35:07against themselves. They have placed
- 35:10Allah above the needs of the ego. And
- 35:12that struggle against the ego is what
- 35:14holds great value in His sight. Because
- 35:17physical deeds can be imitated, but the
- 35:20sincerity in hiding them cannot be
- 35:22faked. The secret between a servant and
- 35:25Allah is the most sacred realm of
- 35:27spiritual life. It cannot be entered by
- 35:30anyone, cannot be interpreted with
- 35:32language, cannot be measured by worldly
- 35:34standards. Perhaps the person who seems
- 35:37most ordinary in the eyes of humans
- 35:39actually possesses an ocean of deeds
- 35:42they never mention to anyone, not even
- 35:44to those closest to them, not even to
- 35:46themselves. Because they are not busy
- 35:49collecting deeds, not busy keeping
- 35:51count. They simply walk, give, help,
- 35:54cry, forgive, and let it all belong to
- 35:58Allah alone. And when someone has been
- 36:01able to make their deeds a secret
- 36:03between themselves and Allah, they have
- 36:05found a spiritual delight that cannot
- 36:07be bought by anything. Because when a
- 36:11person can hide their deeds neatly, it
- 36:13means they have found enough in
- 36:15Allah’s love without needing the
- 36:17validation of humans. They feel no loss
- 36:21, no disadvantage. Because to them,
- 36:24Allah is the only one who has the right
- 36:26to know. And that alone is enough, even
- 36:29more than enough. Free from the
- 36:36dependence on acceptance. One of the
- 36:39greatest obstacles in walking the path
- 36:41of sincerity is the heart's dependence
- 36:44on human acceptance. How often the soul
- 36:48feels happy when praised and hurt when
- 36:51unappreciated. Yet the essence of
- 36:54sincerity is letting go of the need to
- 36:56be accepted, letting go of the need to
- 36:58be seen as good, letting go of the
- 37:00desire for people to know who we are
- 37:02and what we have done. And that is not
- 37:05an easy matter. Because the basic human
- 37:07instinct is to be considered right, to
- 37:10be liked, to be known. But on the
- 37:13journey toward Allah, all those desires
- 37:15must be slowly worn away so that only
- 37:17one thing remains: His pleasure. A
- 37:20sincere person no longer measures deeds
- 37:23with the scale of human response. They
- 37:25do not become more diligent just
- 37:27because of praise, and they do not
- 37:29become weak just because no one knows.
- 37:32They do not work to be seen, do not
- 37:35give to be repaid, do not pray to be
- 37:37called righteous. They do everything
- 37:40because they know that Allah is
- 37:42All-Knowing. So nothing is small to Him
- 37:45, nothing escapes His record. And when
- 37:48the heart begins to feel content with
- 37:51Allah’s knowledge, that is where the
- 37:53signs of sincerity. begin to emerge in
- 37:55the soul. But it all must go through a
- 37:59long struggle. Because the shadows of
- 38:01wanting to be acknowledged often come
- 38:03without being asked. They appear in the
- 38:06heart when we feel disappointed that
- 38:08our kindness is not appreciated. They
- 38:11creep in silently when we hope that our
- 38:13deeds are mentioned by others. And when
- 38:16that happens, a conscious soul will
- 38:19feel uneasy. Not because others did not
- 38:22praise, but because their own heart
- 38:24began to shift from Allah to His
- 38:26creation. So, one who wishes to be
- 38:29sincere must constantly watch the
- 38:30movements of their heart and cleanse
- 38:32every intention tainted by the desire
- 38:34for human approval. There is an
- 38:38extraordinary tranquility when one no
- 38:40longer cares about the judgment of
- 38:42others. They are not arrogant, but they
- 38:45have learned that people can change.
- 38:47Today they praise, tomorrow they may
- 38:49disparage. Today they accept, tomorrow
- 38:52they may forget. Thus, relying on human
- 38:54acceptance is fragile. Meanwhile,
- 38:57relying on the sight of Allah is a
- 38:59strength that will never collapse. When
- 39:02Allah is pleased, the world no longer
- 39:05matters. Praise no longer makes them
- 39:07soar, and insults do not make them
- 39:09crumble. They live peacefully between
- 39:12the two uncertainties of the world.
- 39:14Being accepted or rejected. Sincerity
- 39:17is true freedom. Free from the demand
- 39:20to be admired. Free from the necessity
- 39:23of explaining oneself. Free from
- 39:25attachment to an image. Because
- 39:28sincerity frees a person from the
- 39:29prison of name and appearance. They
- 39:32only want one thing: to be a true
- 39:34servant. No need to be considered noble
- 39:37, no need to be called upon, no need to
- 39:39be given a front seat. Even if everyone
- 39:42forgets their name, they do not care as
- 39:44long as Allah knows their deeds. And
- 39:47that is enough as their provision for
- 39:48the return. In sincerity, there is no
- 39:51drama of wanting to be understood, no
- 39:53pain from being overlooked, no grudge
- 39:55for being forgotten. Because all of
- 39:58that stems from the heart's dependence
- 40:00on other than Allah. So when one has
- 40:03purified their intention, they will
- 40:05accept whatever comes without much
- 40:07complaint. They keep walking, keep
- 40:10giving, keep prostrating, keep
- 40:12forgiving. Even if not a single person
- 40:15appreciates it. Because they have
- 40:18fallen in love with the sight of Allah,
- 40:20not the judgment of man. Sincerity does
- 40:23not mean not wanting to be understood,
- 40:25but they do not make human
- 40:27understanding a condition for moving
- 40:29forward. Sincerity does not mean being
- 40:32numb, but they choose to feel only with
- 40:34Allah. So when their deeds are not
- 40:37welcomed, they do not falter. When
- 40:39their words are misunderstood, they do
- 40:41not stop. When their path is silent,
- 40:43they continue to shine. Because inside
- 40:45their chest is a lamp that cannot be
- 40:47extinguished by the world. The
- 40:49conviction that Allah knows, and that
- 40:51is enough to strengthen them to walk
- 40:53this lonely path until the end.
- 40:59Sincerity is the silent path of Allah's
- 41:01beloved. Sincerity is the deepest
- 41:04secret of Allah's beloved. It is not
- 41:07merely a fruit of the tongue, nor just
- 41:09a self-declaration claiming to expect
- 41:11no reward. It is something that only
- 41:13Allah knows. Even one's own self
- 41:16sometimes does not know whether they
- 41:18have truly reached sincerity or not.
- 41:21Because sincerity is not an outer
- 41:23garment, but the deepest layer of
- 41:25intention hidden behind every movement.
- 41:28It is a soft inner vibration, yet it
- 41:30demands the soul's firmness to
- 41:32constantly free itself from everything
- 41:34other than Allah. Allah's beloved tread
- 41:38this path in silence. Not many words,
- 41:41not much talk about themselves. They do
- 41:43not say, "I am already sincere."
- 41:46Because they know that true sincerity
- 41:48grows in the unspoken. They live, they
- 41:51act, they do good, and then vanish into
- 41:54the silence of their deeds. Perhaps
- 41:58unrecorded in human history books, but
- 42:00their deeds shine brightly in the
- 42:02heavens of God. They are not stars in
- 42:04this world, but their light is awaited
- 42:06in the hereafter. Sincerity is a test
- 42:09that never ends, even for those who
- 42:12have reached high spiritual stations.
- 42:16The temptation to be seen, to be
- 42:17mentioned, and to be appreciated always
- 42:19creeps in through the faintest cracks.
- 42:22So those who truly wish to walk this
- 42:25path must remain ever vigilant. For
- 42:27sometimes, pride comes not when we are
- 42:30in the spotlight, but when we secretly
- 42:33hope others know we do not want the
- 42:35spotlight. So subtle is the deception
- 42:38of the ego in obscuring the meaning of
- 42:40sincerity. The path of sincerity is
- 42:42also full of wounds. Because not all
- 42:43goodness will be met with good. Many
- 42:46are even met with slander, prejudice,
- 42:50or betrayal. Yet that is where the
- 42:52quality of sincerity is tested. Does
- 42:55one continue their deeds even when
- 42:57unacknowledged? Does one continue to do
- 43:00good even when repaid with evil? Does
- 43:02one continue to help even when their
- 43:04intentions are suspected? At that point
- 43:07, sincerity becomes the light that
- 43:09separates the servant of God from the
- 43:11servant of praise. Those who reach the
- 43:14degree of true sincerity will
- 43:16experience an extraordinary relief.
- 43:18Their hearts are no longer restless
- 43:20because of the world. Not easily broken
- 43:22by insults, not easily elevated by
- 43:24flattery. They have found an inner
- 43:27balance that can only be felt by a soul
- 43:30freed from worldly attachments. And
- 43:33what is most beautiful is that in that
- 43:35sincerity, they feel an extremely
- 43:37intimate closeness to God. As if there
- 43:40are only two, themselves and the
- 43:41Creator. All burdens become light. All
- 43:45decisions become calm because they do
- 43:47not wait for human reward, but only for
- 43:49His pleasure. But never think that
- 43:53sincerity is the end of the journey. In
- 43:56fact, true sincerity is the gateway to
- 44:00deeper secrets. Because after one
- 44:03learns to be sincere in deeds, they
- 44:05will be invited to be sincere in
- 44:07destiny. Sincere in accepting what
- 44:09comes, even if it is painful. Sincere
- 44:11in facing what is lost, even if it is
- 44:13deeply loved. Sincere in enduring
- 44:16reality, even if it does not match
- 44:18expectations. And from there, sincerity
- 44:21changes from an act to a station, from
- 44:24a concept to a spiritual state that
- 44:26merges with the flow of life. And this
- 44:29is the secret. True sincerity is when
- 44:32you no longer know that you are being
- 44:34sincere. When all deeds and silence,
- 44:37all giving and holding back, all
- 44:39patience and surrender, all flow
- 44:41naturally without being measured. No
- 44:44longer counted, no longer claimed.
- 44:47There is only a full awareness that all
- 44:49of this is not about you, but about God
- 44:51. So when that happens, you are not
- 44:55just acting for God, you exist for God.
- 45:02And at this point, a question arises
- 45:05that shakes the soul. What if we spent
- 45:08our whole lives feeling we were sincere
- 45:11? Only to find out, we were not. What
- 45:13if all the deeds, tears, prayers, and
- 45:16alms we thought were for God turn out
- 45:19to be just a neatly crafted mask, and
- 45:21what if later before Him, it all
- 45:23crumbles because we were not honest
- 45:26enough with our intentions? Reflect
- 45:29deeply. Because true sincerity cannot
- 45:32be feigned. It will burn everything
- 45:36fake and leave only a naked soul. The
- 45:40question now is, do you dare to face
- 45:42your own deeds without the slightest
- 45:44defense in your heart? Allah
