Luminary Merc Bot Day 1 Update — Transcript

1. 0:00Hello and welcome exiles to the day one
2. 0:02update to the luminary and I got a lot
3. 0:04of tips and tricks, a lot of common
4. 0:06questions I got and I want to cover as
5. 0:07much as I can. So that way, if you're a
6. 0:10little bit lost in the league start, we
7. 0:11can maybe get you up and running with a
8. 0:13good character and get it actually
9. 0:15operating. So, first things first, I
10. 0:17want to state in this, I cannot stress
11. 0:18this enough, the difference between a
12. 0:21good merc and a bad merc is insane. If
13. 0:24you started out with a bad merc, you'll
14. 0:26probably get the impression that
15. 0:27luminary sucks. If you start out with a
16. 0:29good merc, you probably think it was the
17. 0:31most OP thing possible. And I want to
18. 0:33stress the important time to fix this,
19. 0:35in my opinion, and I wish I did this
20. 0:37personally, is just do resets at Scepter
21. 0:39of God or Grand Arena. Those are very
22. 0:41early on and they're one they're some of
23. 0:43the easier zone resets to find
24. 0:45yourselves a
25. 0:47basically a decent merc because the merc
26. 0:50stats, they scale up to a level 68 merc
27. 0:53basically throughout the as you level up
28. 0:54through the campaign, they match the
29. 0:55zone level and then they cap out at 68.
30. 0:58And that level of merc
31. 1:00is completely viable to do red map
32. 1:02content and the more important thing is
33. 1:04that you're just using a baseline decent
34. 1:06merc rather than using a merc with bad
35. 1:10skills and forcing your way through the
36. 1:11campaign. For example, the merc I have
37. 1:14right now, I've done all the way up to
38. 1:15T12s and T13s, done about half my atlas
39. 1:18completion and this guy is just what I
40. 1:20had from Underbelly, it's a combatant.
41. 1:22This isn't even one of the best mercs,
42. 1:23it's one of the decent all-rounder
43. 1:25mercs. For example, if I had static
44. 1:27strike or the spectral helix of
45. 1:29Charthis, single target on this merc
46. 1:30would be much better over wild strike. I
47. 1:32don't like wild strike particularly
48. 1:34well. Frost blades is decent clear.
49. 1:36Static strike and spectral helix are
50. 1:37better like additions for single target
51. 1:38cuz static strike, they just use once,
52. 1:40get some extra beam hits and then they
53. 1:42use the other skill type of thing. But
54. 1:44let's go ahead and talk about what merc
55. 1:45I think is the ideal merc and one you
56. 1:47should fish for is the many shots.
57. 1:51Specifically, you want the Val eye shot.
58. 1:54This skill, the way it works is it has a
59. 1:575-second cool down and it lasts like 5
60. 1:59seconds. So, it's 100% up time.
61. 2:01It's not like a valve skill like you
62. 2:02have as a player where you have huge
63. 2:04downtime. You don't get to use it much.
64. 2:05The merc gets to use it like 100% of the
65. 2:08time. The problem is the way the valve
66. 2:10eye shot works with the merc
67. 2:12is the valve eye shot clones only shoot
68. 2:14if the merc uses eye shot. Now, the merc
69. 2:17always has eye shot by default. However,
70. 2:20the secondary skill can be something
71. 2:22like icicle rain, which has no cool
72. 2:24down, and the merc will end up spamming
73. 2:26that ability, which will mean the eye
74. 2:27shot valve eye shot clones won't shoot.
75. 2:29And the icicle rain, it's okay, but it's
76. 2:32not great, and you end up losing a lot
77. 2:33of damage. So, the ideal merc I think
78. 2:35for early league start is the valve eye
79. 2:37shot merc. That's the one I'm going to
80. 2:38try to set up today. I have a warrant
81. 2:39basically for buying one with return. I
82. 2:41bought this for like 80C. It was one of
83. 2:43my bigger investments, but I think this
84. 2:45will end up being decently. Now, I say I
85. 2:47also recommend avoiding movement skills
86. 2:50as much as you can. Like, if this had
87. 2:51hatred instead of blink arrow, that'd be
88. 2:52much better. The upside is mirror and
89. 2:55blink arrow, they have decently longish
90. 2:57cool downs. So, for the most part, the
91. 2:59mercs shouldn't use these two two much.
92. 3:01The best case scenario, I believe, is
93. 3:03frigid fork shot as that has a long cool
94. 3:05down. And then, if you had grace hatred,
95. 3:07so you didn't have any movement skills.
96. 3:08The worst movement skill, I believe, is
97. 3:10dash cuz it's faster cool down. But,
98. 3:12ultimately, having a longer movement
99. 3:14cool cool down skill over having icicle
100. 3:17rain is still a better scenario, in my
101. 3:19opinion. So,
102. 3:20first things first,
103. 3:22I'd recommend doing some zone resets
104. 3:23looking for some of these better mercs.
105. 3:25Specifically, I'd recommend the many
106. 3:26shot. If you can get that with the valve
107. 3:28eye shot and not icicle rain, like
108. 3:30frigid fork shot or one of those extra
109. 3:32secondary skills. Or, combatant I've
110. 3:34enjoyed quite a bit. If you can get
111. 3:36combatant with a static strike or
112. 3:38spectral helix combined with one of
113. 3:41these two skills. You just don't want
114. 3:43both of these skills together cuz these
115. 3:44are both kind of like clear skills. But,
116. 3:46if you got static strike or special
117. 3:47helix, those are the better single
118. 3:49target skills for this mercenary and in
119. 3:52combination. Those two, I think are
120. 3:53quite good. I've heard some other things
121. 3:55about blade ambusher, some of the spell
122. 3:57caster mercs. Ultimately, try out some
123. 3:59different mercs, see if you find one
124. 4:01that seems like it's just pumping and
125. 4:02doing decent damage and maybe just send
126. 4:04it. The The important thing is you don't
127. 4:05want to get stuck with a bad mercenary.
128. 4:07Now, when it comes to resetting these
129. 4:08zones, how it works is you control click
130. 4:10the zone, click new, and it will refresh
131. 4:15uh basically a new instance for where
132. 4:16the merc can be. From my experience in
133. 4:18Grand Arena, the mercenary often would
134. 4:20appear in this first right zone. I would
135. 4:22do a situation where if it doesn't
136. 4:24appear here, instead of searching the
137. 4:26whole zone,
138. 4:27just go back to the waypoint,
139. 4:29>> [clears throat]
140. 4:29>> control click new, and go again. My
141. 4:31character's too high level, which I
142. 4:32means the I think that means the merc
143. 4:34will no longer be spawning in this zone,
144. 4:36but like a lot of times the merc was
145. 4:37right here. I think that's some of the
146. 4:39fast zone resets you can do to try to
147. 4:41fish for a good merc as it's very
148. 4:42important to how your character will
149. 4:44perform.
150. 4:46So, that's how that's just going over
151. 4:47the merc and the merc skills. Next thing
152. 4:50I want to talk about just some common
153. 4:51questions I was getting and I updated
154. 4:52this on the mobileytics. Just some FAQs
155. 4:55that people ask me a lot throughout. Uh
156. 4:57bandits, I did Kraiton for the movement
157. 4:58speed, but Kill All is kind of the best
158. 5:00all-rounder and will give you the
159. 5:01strongest overall power late game, but I
160. 5:04went for Kraiton just cuz I wanted to
161. 5:06move around faster.
162. 5:07Where do you find the mercs? These are
163. 5:09all the zones you can find them in. I'd
164. 5:10recommend farming them in Grand Arena or
165. 5:12Scepter of God. I think these are the
166. 5:14faster reset zones, and it'll make your
167. 5:16rest of your campaign just a much better
168. 5:17experience. You could farm it in Act 8
169. 5:20just so you can have a higher level merc
170. 5:22uh just to equip better gear to it, but
171. 5:24ultimately, I would farm it first here,
172. 5:27get the better merc, and just have a
173. 5:28better time throughout the campaign.
174. 5:30When to swap out a RF, I'd recommend
175. 5:32around Act 6. This is right when you get
176. 5:33the minus 30 res penalty. That hurts
177. 5:35your regen. Your regen is starting to
178. 5:36get rough at this point. You want to
179. 5:37start putting pushing life to give more
180. 5:39damage to your merc. This is around when
181. 5:41I would swap cuz you also get Lilly at
182. 5:43this point from the first quest, which
183. 5:45allows you to buy all the support gems
184. 5:47you need to make the skills work.
185. 5:50I have the locations of the two specters
186. 5:51I'm using, Carnage Chieftain for
187. 5:53Frenzies, Warcaller for Onslaught. This
188. 5:54is just some additional damage you're
189. 5:55going to get single target through
190. 5:56bosses. Costs you just one jewel socket.
191. 5:59I think it's worth it. Costs a well,
192. 6:00actually it's not just one jewel socket.
193. 6:01I am using meat shield and minion life
194. 6:03on these to make them a bit more tanky.
195. 6:04They respawn each zone. It's no big deal
196. 6:07to keep them up. Now, what is more of a
197. 6:09big deal, which I kind of regret and
198. 6:10maybe later on will feel better, is my
199. 6:13animate guardian. I did one of these
200. 6:14guys with a leer cast and some other
201. 6:16cheapo gear. The problem with this is
202. 6:19he's not really tanky. He's kind of
203. 6:20dying and he's only giving 50% damage
204. 6:22and he doesn't auto respond on the next
205. 6:24zone. You have to manually summon him.
206. 6:26So, I'll probably let him die and stop
207. 6:29bothering with him until I can get some
208. 6:31of the better items like Doppelganger's
209. 6:33guys, which will give him a lot more
210. 6:34tank. Uh stuff like that to make it him
211. 6:36actually be more survivable and more
212. 6:38reliable as something to depend upon.
213. 6:42And then over here, just going over some
214. 6:43of the best ways to improve your damage.
215. 6:46Um which is basically
216. 6:48get a good merc, make sure you get that
217. 6:50third lab for the light radius, and then
218. 6:52get start getting light radius on all
219. 6:53your rares. Once I get that got that
220. 6:55third lab lab, I got I got 15% light
221. 6:57radius rare rings with life, 15% light
222. 7:00radius on helmet, a uh
223. 7:02weapon with 10% light radius and plus
224. 7:03one. You can also get it with 15%.
225. 7:05That's your initial nice damage
226. 7:07increases. And then just getting good
227. 7:08life on all your other stuff. And then a
228. 7:10Centaur's pretty nice cuz you can give
229. 7:11crit chance onslaught. It gives a bit
230. 7:13more speed for your early merc
231. 7:15progression. Ultimately, I am going to
232. 7:17get rid of this belt eventually, but
233. 7:18it's a nice starter item to get your
234. 7:20merc moving faster, having having a bit
235. 7:21more crit, having that stuff apply to
236. 7:23your mercenary.
237. 7:24One other quick thing I want to mention
238. 7:26is Rotmother's Mutiny. This is a new
239. 7:29item and it is a absolute banger for
240. 7:32this character. Rotmother's Mutiny can
241. 7:35go up to 75 light radius, which is like
242. 7:39effectively giving your merc like, I
243. 7:40don't know, depending on much light
244. 7:41radius you have, it could be anywhere
245. 7:42from like 20 to 40% more damage if you
246. 7:45have a high roll on this. And it also
247. 7:47gives you a huge amount of chaos res,
248. 7:49and it gives you a lot of Ellie res and
249. 7:51max res. It's a fantastic amulet.
250. 7:53Definitely something we'll use for a
251. 7:55very long time. Shop around, get one
252. 7:57with a decent light radius. Uh for
253. 7:59example, right now my character I've
254. 8:00like have some cheapo gear. I have no
255. 8:02light radius. If I got this amulet, it
256. 8:04would instantly give me like 88 chaos
257. 8:06res. It would almost fix my chaos res
258. 8:07problem on top of giving me um other
259. 8:11resistances, allow me to craft some
260. 8:12hybrid res elsewhere. I'd probably get
261. 8:14chaos res capped and I get a huge damage
262. 8:15increase. I want to just shout out this
263. 8:17item cuz it's a new item. I didn't have
264. 8:18it referenced in the guide before cuz I
265. 8:19didn't know it existed, and it is
266. 8:21fantastic for the build. And it the if
267. 8:23you're wondering where to find it, it's
268. 8:24in the league mechanic. I've been told
269. 8:26if you do the
270. 8:28there's some uh league mechanic clams
271. 8:30for specific maps, you can have like the
272. 8:32spawns clams thing, and you can
273. 8:34potentially get one of these out of
274. 8:35that. So, that's where it comes from is
275. 8:37what I've been told. Very good amulet
276. 8:39for the build.
277. 8:40Another thing I want to highlight is
278. 8:43what weapon and ring we want to go for.
279. 8:45This is where I put all my initial
280. 8:47investment. Amities, I'm going to stress
281. 8:49this. Uh all our damage is fire from
282. 8:52flame link. This thing is a massive
283. 8:53multiplier.
284. 8:55It's where I put all my initial
285. 8:56investment is I bought this. I haven't
286. 8:57even done the Uber lab for it, but I'm
287. 8:59working my way there. What you need to
288. 9:01make this work is you need all your
289. 9:02other gear gear pieces to have
290. 9:04resistances. Specifically, you can go go
291. 9:06for Untouched Soul and put that on the
292. 9:08merc right here, Untouched Soul, and
293. 9:10then make sure all these items have a
294. 9:11bunch of white sockets. That will easily
295. 9:13get you close to that 200 uh
296. 9:15pen situation. However, I think for many
297. 9:19shot, uh it's worth to drop the amulet,
298. 9:21just have a bunch of rares because this
299. 9:23thing I believe is an absolute monster
300. 9:25for many shot, and I'm looking forward
301. 9:27to using on it. Lioneye's Glare, it's
302. 9:29T0, pretty rare. It's obviously going to
303. 9:30get pretty expensive if it works. But,
304. 9:33hits can't be evaded. Far shot, 50% more
305. 9:36attack speed. These are all massively
306. 9:38important things for mercs. It's kind of
307. 9:39hard to cap the mercs' accuracy. So,
308. 9:41hits can't be evaded is huge. Far shot,
309. 9:42a lot of times the mercs shoot far away,
310. 9:44gives a huge damage multiplier, like
311. 9:4530%. 50% more attack speed, obvious
312. 9:48value there. And then you have the
313. 9:50repeat additional time. The question
314. 9:51about this is that might work with Val
315. 9:54Ice uh Ice Shot, we will see, but I
316. 9:56think this will be really good.
317. 9:57Obviously, I haven't tested it yet. I
318. 9:59haven't even got a many shot this whole
319. 10:00time. I've ran this character for about
320. 10:028 hours of play time.
321. 10:04I'm I 840 now cuz I've been talking and
322. 10:06I've been setting up to do the showcase
323. 10:08video. Um I didn't find one while I was
324. 10:10searching the Atlas, but I ended up
325. 10:12buying one off trade. Talking about
326. 10:15warrants and buying mercs off trade.
327. 10:18Now,
328. 10:19on the first 10 hours league, there
329. 10:21weren't many up for trade. However,
330. 10:24since I went to bed and I woke back up,
331. 10:27there is now over 3,000 warrants already
332. 10:30on trade. Many have been listed, people
333. 10:31have bought them. Save yourselves some
334. 10:33time and maybe buy yourselves a war once
335. 10:37you get to map, and that way you can get
336. 10:38a merc with some decent supports going,
337. 10:41and I want to showcase how the system
338. 10:42works. Over here,
339. 10:44now there's a new category that's um
340. 10:47Well, I'll show how to find it. Val uh
341. 10:48Val Ice Shot. Like let's say we're
342. 10:50searching for Val Ice Shot right here.
343. 10:52This is all the mercs that have Val Ice
344. 10:53Shot. This one for 20c that has uh
345. 10:55Icicle Rain, which isn't ideal. You
346. 10:57don't really want Icicle Rain. So, if
347. 10:58you get one like without that, like this
348. 10:59one 20c would be pretty nice, to be
349. 11:01honest. But, specifically, if you go
350. 11:05over and you click the search thing
351. 11:06here,
352. 11:07um you can get this mercenary skill
353. 11:09group thing, which would allow you to
354. 11:11customize the uh support gems you're
355. 11:14looking for. So, for example, if you
356. 11:16want to go for a really good Val Ice
357. 11:18Shot merc, you could do this,
358. 11:20and and I don't know how to create this
359. 11:22group like manually. There's not like I
360. 11:24don't see the option here, but if you do
361. 11:25the click the search thing, it pulls up.
362. 11:27But, you can then go for return like
363. 11:29this, and this will force a mercenary
364. 11:32with return proj, which is the like it
365. 11:34doubles your damage if you get one
366. 11:35pierce, it'll mean the projectile from
367. 11:37Valais's ice shot will go through the
368. 11:39enemy and come back and hit again, and
369. 11:40there's no less damage multiplier. So,
370. 11:42that's your ideal situation. That's what
371. 11:44I bought here, this this ADC one
372. 11:47at Valais's ice shot with return proj on
373. 11:49it. And that's kind of what I was
374. 11:50looking for. That's kind of what you our
375. 11:52late game's going for for our many shot.
376. 11:53Many shot isn't our Uber late game. Our
377. 11:55Uber late game's like a super armor
378. 11:56stacker, but I think this is one of the
379. 11:58strongest early mercs you can get when
380. 12:00you have not great gear to support it
381. 12:02and just a couple items like Lioneye's
382. 12:03Glare and Am- Am- Amice, I think will
383. 12:05take us to some really strong damage
384. 12:06fast. So, that's kind of what how you
385. 12:08search for skills. If you know there's a
386. 12:10merc you like, you can search for a
387. 12:11specific a specific skill, click this
388. 12:13button over here, and then you can
389. 12:15customize the supports. That is how you
390. 12:16can find yourself some good mercs. Now,
391. 12:19I want to showcase how the warrants
392. 12:21work. So, first up, we're going to pull
393. 12:22up I'm just going to do a T1 map, and I
394. 12:24want to do this to showcase this
395. 12:25mercenary's level 71, but I'm going to
396. 12:28put it on a map that's level that's a
397. 12:30level 68 zone.
398. 12:32So, you pop in the merc like this.
399. 12:35Warrant can't [clears throat] be used
400. 12:36with this map. And this is a learning
401. 12:38experience. So, I believe All right, I
402. 12:40figured out what I did wrong. I had an
403. 12:43Atlas with this node with unwavering
404. 12:45vision. You cannot have scarab or slot
405. 12:48things like this, and it prevented me
406. 12:50from using the mercenary warrant. So,
407. 12:52that's what went on there. I had this
408. 12:54node clicked. We're going to select an
409. 12:55Atlas that has no passives clicked just
410. 12:57to showcase. I have a level 71 warrant.
411. 13:00I have a T1 map, and I believe it should
412. 13:02show when I get to this mercenary, it
413. 13:04should show a 71 merc even though it's
414. 13:08it like it doesn't matter what map tier
415. 13:09you run. Um the key for this, I would
416. 13:11say, if you're trying to like be very
417. 13:13careful about an expensive merc, you
418. 13:15want to make sure you're strong enough
419. 13:16to do the fight, and I would recommend
420. 13:18doing a map where you probably don't
421. 13:21have
422. 13:22um
423. 13:24a map where you probably don't have mods
424. 13:26on it. Make it as easy as possible,
425. 13:27maybe get do put in some Dom's care so
426. 13:29you can get shrines before the fight.
427. 13:31But you'll notice I go up to this merc
428. 13:32and he has what's that? Level 71 even
429. 13:35though I'm in a 68 zone, so he matches
430. 13:37that. He matches the skills that were
431. 13:38shown before when we checked the dude
432. 13:40and we're going to fight him for his
433. 13:42chaos orbs.
434. 13:44Another thing I want to say is I
435. 13:46I don't know if this bug's still in, but
436. 13:47in merc league and during cry if you
437. 13:49proc'd it before the fight, it would
438. 13:50apply to the mercenary cuz at that point
439. 13:52that mercenary was considered an ally.
440. 13:54So just make sure you don't apply or
441. 13:56don't proc your war cry before doing the
442. 13:59fight with the merc, okay? So just
443. 14:01something I want to say there.
444. 14:02Another thing is now let's go ahead and
445. 14:04showcase what a T12 looks like for our
446. 14:07current setup. Um our mercenary is from
447. 14:10the campaign. It isn't a strong
448. 14:12mercenary. Uh it isn't a particularly OP
449. 14:15one. I'll show you his gear. He's level
450. 14:1658. His wild strike frost blades isn't
451. 14:18really ideal. I have some attack speed
452. 14:20flat damage weapons and then I have
453. 14:23rings with attack speed. I have a weapon
454. 14:25uh gloves with attack speed and I have
455. 14:27an amulet with some crit multi flat
456. 14:29damage. Those are kind of the things you
457. 14:30want to go for. If you can get a belt
458. 14:31with good wed and bench crafted percent
459. 14:33damage, that works really well. Stuff
460. 14:35like that is what you want to look for
461. 14:37and let's go ahead and showcase what a
462. 14:38T12 looks like in the current situation
463. 14:41on my character. I'm just going to swap
464. 14:42my Atlas back so I have my shrines and
465. 14:44stuff.
466. 14:46Keep in mind I've tested this. Shrines
467. 14:48also work on the mercenary. So they're
468. 14:51kind of a nice thing to like help you
469. 14:53speed up through the map if you click an
470. 14:55excel shrine, it'll apply to the
471. 14:56mercenary. Let me try to showcase that.
472. 14:58So I'll click this shrine. I got a
473. 14:59defense shrine. You'll see my mercenary
474. 15:01also has a defense shrine above him.
475. 15:04So it's applying to him as well as it's
476. 15:06applying to me.
477. 15:07And we're getting kind of cooked right
478. 15:09now by this uh
479. 15:11by this rare.
480. 15:13I kind of forgot to give him flame link
481. 15:14start the map. So that was on me. That's
482. 15:15kind of on me.
483. 15:16Um I need to have my only weakness on.
484. 15:19Holy that rare was tanky.
485. 15:21Um I don't particularly recommend
486. 15:24pushing a bad merc'd red maps. This is
487. 15:25just Initially I couldn't buy a merc
488. 15:28uh and I didn't really over farm for a
489. 15:31good merc. It doesn't stop me ooh many
490. 15:33shot. This is actually kind of what I've
491. 15:35been looking for. This is not
492. 15:38um
493. 15:41Okay, here's here's the thing. This many
494. 15:43shot is actually a pretty decent one. It
495. 15:44has volley shot. It doesn't have return
496. 15:46proj. This should still be much better
497. 15:49than my current merc and very
498. 15:51importantly
499. 15:53I I do want to hire this guy. I do want
500. 15:55to hire this guy cuz he will help me
501. 15:57beat the really good merc that I warrant
502. 16:00I bought. And he's level 79 so this will
503. 16:02be huge for me to upgrade my character.
504. 16:04I've been looking for this guy for the
505. 16:05whole league. I found one many shot and
506. 16:08like eight toxicologist, like eight
507. 16:10snipers even though they're like the
508. 16:11same odds to occur. Um, keep in mind one
509. 16:13thing I want to mention right now. If
510. 16:15you're going to sell farm or target
511. 16:16specific mercs, you'd say you want to
512. 16:18sell warrants is you can do things like
513. 16:20less strength, less int which are merc
514. 16:22we're looking for is a dex one many
515. 16:23shot. It's from the Kayaksyn
516. 16:26uh
517. 16:27I don't know tribe, guild, I don't know
518. 16:29what it's called house Kayaksyn or
519. 16:30whatever. That's how you kind of target
520. 16:32the right one and this thing over here
521. 16:34these nodes are really important. They
522. 16:35give you additional supports a lot of
523. 16:36times which means you'll get better um
524. 16:38mercs on average so they're more
525. 16:39resellable. So that's kind of what I'm
526. 16:40doing for my tree here if you were
527. 16:42curious. So anyways, I am going to hire
528. 16:44this guy and hopefully I don't lose.
529. 16:48No reserve. I have an extra slot and I
530. 16:51proc'd enduring cry beforehand. Holy eye
531. 16:55shot is terrifying.
532. 17:04This guy might just completely wipe the
533. 17:06floor with us.
534. 17:15Yeah, I definitely need to make sure I
535. 17:16have a better merc before I go to
536. 17:19Okay, I need to get my guy away. He's
537. 17:20just trying to die.
538. 17:22This is This is the most dangerous fight
539. 17:24I've had. I haven't had this merc come
540. 17:25close to dying at all up until this
541. 17:27point. And that's kind of the power of
542. 17:29the Val eye shot. Obviously, I went into
543. 17:31a map with attack speed mods on it. This
544. 17:33is not ideal for fighting this merc, but
545. 17:36I really want it cuz it'll make my
546. 17:37character way stronger and will mean
547. 17:39I'll have a lot better odds at defeating
548. 17:41the uh
549. 17:43the Val eye shot merc that I have over

692. 23:54showcase what the difference is between
693. 23:56like a many shot versus what we were
694. 23:58doing,
695. 23:59which was not great. Another thing I
696. 24:00want to say about this merc specifically
697. 24:02for clear speed
698. 24:04is Okay, yes, we do want
699. 24:07um
700. 24:08Vaal Ice Shot. That's the most important
701. 24:09thing for single target. For clear, you
702. 24:12kind of want extra projectiles. You can
703. 24:14get that through things like your
704. 24:15quiver. You can get that through anoint.
705. 24:17And if you get the extra projectiles on
706. 24:20your Vaal Ice Shot, that's a big portion
707. 24:22of helping the clear be better.
708. 24:24Uh also, having cool down recovery rate
709. 24:26on the Vaal Ice Shot means the merc will
710. 24:28proc it more. It'll be more consistent.
711. 24:31Stuff like that. I'm just going to grab
712. 24:32a life node cuz I don't want to think
713. 24:33about what I'm doing right now.
714. 24:35Um and let's go ahead and run to the
715. 24:37boss.
716. 24:41I want to stress that the
717. 24:43the whole key of this merc is the Vaal
718. 24:45Ice Shot skill. Um and then ideally not
719. 24:48having Icicle Rain.

802. 28:48Grace and Hatred. Just the more skills
803. 28:50where they're not clicking stuff and
804. 28:51Viridian Fork Shot I think is ideal. Um,
805. 28:54because you really want them to just
806. 28:55spam Ice Shot, so the clones just spam
807. 28:57their Val,
808. 28:58uh, their Val Ice Shot clones spam their
809. 29:00attacks. So, yeah. Anyways, that is the
810. 29:03situation for Far Shot to work. Uh,
811. 29:05this should be
812. 29:07look a lot, a hell of a lot different
813. 29:09tomorrow when I actually get this item
814. 29:10on, this item on, and I start getting
815. 29:12some much better like rares with attack
816. 29:13speed, fire res, and stuff like that.
817. 29:16And then getting myself better gear like
818. 29:18Light Radius Gear and stuff like that.
819. 29:19We have a starting point, we're
820. 29:20functional, we're in maps. I just wanted
821. 29:22to go over how to capture mercs.
822. 29:24Better mercs make a huge difference
823. 29:26compared to bad mercs. Uh, and then,
824. 29:28yeah.
