- 0:10Felix Fisher.
- 0:12>> Hello everyone. Hi coach. Um do you have
- 0:14an update about the squad? Is everybody
- 0:16able to play despite the four players
- 0:18that are out?
- 0:19>> Um yes. So most players trained
- 0:22yesterday. Um
- 0:25Jamal reg uh rejoined the group for
- 0:27training which was really positive.
- 0:28Obviously the game's too soon for him,
- 0:30but it's nice to have him back on the
- 0:31grass with us. Uh Alex Pavlovich
- 0:34completed training session, but we take
- 0:35it day by day with him just to see if
- 0:37there's any reactions and how they um
- 0:39how his legs are recovering. Um
- 0:43Manuel Ner and Yonas will both train
- 0:45today uh and are both in a good place
- 0:48for the game. Um and I think that's
- 0:51everybody. So yeah, we're in a good
- 0:53we're in a good shape. Obviously,
- 0:54there's a few that we have to consider
- 0:55in terms of resting them. Um we've gone
- 0:57through a heavy load and and lots of
- 0:59minutes. So there's a few uh Alfonso
- 1:03Davis in particular will be one that we
- 1:05have to manage now. Um he's still not
- 1:07the type of player he is and how
- 1:09explosive he is. He's still not ready to
- 1:10play 90 minutes back to back to back to
- 1:13back. So uh we have to be careful with
- 1:15him. But we'll make those decisions as
- 1:17we go through the day today. We see how
- 1:19everybody comes in. Everybody's
- 1:20recovered and how everybody reacts to uh
- 1:23to the training and the load that we've
- 1:24been through.
- 1:26>> Okay.
- 1:29Mr. Danks, hello. Uh you have said um
- 1:32that Jamaimala and Lu Diaz are doing
- 1:34progress uh in training. When do you uh
- 1:38expect they are ready uh to give their
- 1:41uh come back on the pitch?
- 1:44>> Yeah. Uh I think in terms of putting a
- 1:46game on it or a date on it, it's really
- 1:48difficult. Um but what's important is
- 1:51they'll be in now. Next week, they'll
- 1:52train next week. They'll be in for some
- 1:54individual sessions. uh when the group
- 1:56returns after the international break,
- 1:58they'll be uh hopefully back in full
- 2:00group training. So yeah, uh it's
- 2:04positive news. It's pro positive
- 2:06progress, but there's no set date in
- 2:08terms of a game that they'll be
- 2:09available for.
- 2:18for
- 2:21Harry Kane.
- 2:32foreign.
- 2:43Foremanch.
- 3:13for
- 3:28Absolutely.
- 3:36for
- 4:01Mr. DS. The last two weeks were special
- 4:05for you. You have no gray hairs. I see.
- 4:08>> Some bed in particular.
- 4:11>> Yeah.
- 4:12>> But are you personally happy that there
- 4:14is an international break now because it
- 4:17was an intense time for you? How do you
- 4:19reflected?
- 4:21>> Yeah, obviously um
- 4:25I'm somebody that wants to learn and
- 4:26constantly get better. So, it's been a
- 4:28really good challenge for me, a
- 4:29challenge for my leadership skills and
- 4:31for me to to develop. Um, but the
- 4:34circumstances have not been anything
- 4:36that I would have hoped or wished for.
- 4:37Obviously, Vince not being with us is
- 4:40not what we wanted. Um, so it's not like
- 4:44I'm happy to have had this opportunity,
- 4:47but I think I've embraced it and I think
- 4:49I'll have learned a lot about myself,
- 4:51about my leadership skills.
- 4:53Um, and uh, and I'll have developed
- 4:55through this period. Um, and yeah, I'm
- 4:58looking forward to the rest and the
- 5:00break in the international period. Um, I
- 5:02think it will be important especially
- 5:04for me to get back home and see the
- 5:05family and spend some time with them.
- 5:07So, uh, yeah, I'm ready for the I'm
- 5:08ready for that. Uh, but at the moment,
- 5:11we've got a big game tomorrow. So, full
- 5:13preparation, full focus on this. Um, and
- 5:16hopefully after a victory, then I can
- 5:18fly home and and spend some time with
- 5:19the family in nice uh in a nice in a
- 5:22nice way. Erin,
- 5:27uh, obviously this was a very difficult
- 5:29situation for you and the whole staff.
- 5:31Uh, especially when you want to do what
- 5:35Vince is planning for the team, but
- 5:37you're not allowed to talk with Vince
- 5:39about football issues so he can recover
- 5:42properly. So, how did you manage? Yeah,
- 5:45it's a difficult balance, but I think
- 5:47because we we work so closely together
- 5:49for two and a half years, you understand
- 5:52a lot of his values, a lot of his
- 5:54principles, you don't know exactly what
- 5:57decision he would make in those moments,
- 5:59but you're guided a little bit by what
- 6:01we've built over the last 2 and 1/2
- 6:03years and and how we've been together. I
- 6:05think for me, it's been about protecting
- 6:08a lot of that, protecting a lot of the
- 6:10stuff that we've done. um not wanting to
- 6:12change, not wanting to reinvent or
- 6:14create new ideas. It's been about
- 6:16sticking to a lot of our processes,
- 6:19believing in the habits that we've
- 6:20developed in the group. Um and
- 6:22everybody's stepped up in that regard.
- 6:24The players, all the co all the coaching
- 6:26staff, all the backroom staff,
- 6:27everybody's really helped us uh get
- 6:29through this period. It's been
- 6:30difficult. Um but I think we've done it
- 6:34through Vince's lens. I think we've done
- 6:36it through his leadership style. We've
- 6:38done it through his um everything that
- 6:40he's uh developed in us as coaches.
- 6:43We've tried to bring that to the to the
- 6:45forefront.
- 6:48Nicholas,
- 6:51two questions to Aaron. Uh you said you
- 6:53learned a lot of things throughout the
- 6:56last days and weeks. Could you tell us a
- 6:58bit what you learned exactly? And as
- 7:00there hasn't been an update on Vince for
- 7:02a few days. How is he doing? And do you
- 7:05already know whether you will be yeah or
- 7:08remain head coach after the
- 7:09international break or not?
- 7:11>> Mhm. Um so to the to the second question
- 7:15first I think um I've had a couple of
- 7:18really positive phone calls with Vince
- 7:19over the recent days. He seems
- 7:22um he seems positive. He seems like he's
- 7:25on a good road to recovery. Um there's
- 7:28no set time, no set day, but obviously
- 7:30with the international break coming now,
- 7:31it would be a good time to reflect and
- 7:33see how he is and and see when he's when
- 7:35he's available to return. Um but we're
- 7:38ready and we're we're looking forward to
- 7:39welcome back as soon as possible. In
- 7:42terms of my learnings, um I haven't
- 7:44fully reflected on it, so I I will do.
- 7:47Um and I'll try and take it as much as I
- 7:49can, but I learned the most from the
- 7:51players. I learned the most from them,
- 7:52from their mentality, from the way they
- 7:55approach every day to be super
- 7:57competitive, the way that they've come
- 7:58together as a group to support each
- 8:00other through difficult times, to
- 8:01support the injured players. Um,
- 8:05and their character, their resilience,
- 8:07their their fighting spirit has has
- 8:11really inspired me and and teaches me a
- 8:13lot about about what it takes to to
- 8:15perform at the highest level. So I try
- 8:18to find the right words to give them in
- 8:19the right moments but ultimately they're
- 8:21the ones that are stepping onto the
- 8:22pitch. They're the ones that are putting
- 8:23the performances in. Uh so I give a lot
- 8:26of a lot of credit and a lot of kudos to
- 8:27the players.
- 8:29>> Close backman Peter Vida.
- 8:33>> Do you remember the last def uh defeat
- 8:37the last defeat in the league
- 8:40against whom? In in an away game.
- 8:44>> No remind me.
- 8:45>> Mines. Mines. I thought this was
- 8:48>> okay. What do you say to the strengths
- 8:51of mind?
- 8:52>> No, no, we've had some really difficult
- 8:53games against them. Even last year when
- 8:55we when we get the victory there, we
- 8:57were 3-0 down. So, um we know it's a
- 9:00tough place to go. We'll go there with
- 9:01full respect for them. Uh full respect
- 9:04for their what they bring to this game.
- 9:07Um how competitive they are when they
- 9:09face us. Uh so, we have to be ready. We
- 9:11have to be ready from the first minute
- 9:13to go and compete again at the highest
- 9:14level. We can't expect us to turn up
- 9:17there and be able to play our football.
- 9:18We'll have to go there and earn the
- 9:19right. We'll have to go there and
- 9:20compete. Um, and we've already spoke to
- 9:23the players about this. So, it was a
- 9:24very quick reset after the Athletico
- 9:26game to go right, we've got a big game
- 9:28Saturday. Uh, it's an important one for
- 9:30us. Um, and we want to finish this run
- 9:33of games, this intensive period, uh,
- 9:35with a positive result and a positive
- 9:37performance, but we know it won't be
- 9:39easy. We know it won't be easy.

- 11:51of the bank.
- 12:15Hi Erin. Um, you mentioned Foni maybe
- 12:18needing a rest um with Serge missing,
- 12:21Luis Diaz missing, Jamal missing. Could
- 12:23you maybe give us an insight on the
- 12:25options left for the left wing position?
- 12:29>> Yeah, we we'll we'll look at it in
- 12:32training today. We'll try a few
- 12:33different players there. It may be that
- 12:34F is fine and he can start but on
- 12:36restricted minutes. Um but we'll have
- 12:39options. We'll have different players.
- 12:42You see when we play there's lots of
- 12:43rotation. There's lots of different
- 12:45movements. Lots of our fullbacks end up
- 12:47in attacking positions. Um and at the
- 12:50moment we've got we've got a good number
- 12:52of fullbacks fit and available to us. So
- 12:54they'll be options for us. Um we've got
- 12:57strong midfield unit. They'll be options
- 12:59for us.
- 13:00um you'll see us in our normal way, in
- 13:03our normal style, in our normal in our
- 13:05normal play. Uh and we'll find solutions
- 13:08with different players to come into
- 13:09those areas. Uh I don't know who that
- 13:12will be at the moment. Speak to the
- 13:14staff. We'll go through it. We'll see
- 13:15how fun is recovered. Um and we'll get
- 13:18ready for the game. But we'll try we'll
- 13:20try a few things in training today and
- 13:21we'll have a look at a few different
- 13:22people and different bodies.
- 13:25>> Last one. Okay. Nicolas Lena.
- 13:27>> One question for each of you. Erin, you
- 13:29spoke about the last time you faced
- 13:31Mines and were down at Halime. Did you
- 13:34show that halftime to the team or are
- 13:37you about to to show that and analyze it
- 13:39or isn't it that important because yeah,
- 13:43they played so many players that aren't
- 13:45here at the club anymore or are not
- 13:48regular starters and um a question for
- 13:51Mr. front.
- 14:05Yeah.
- 14:18Um yeah, we've we've obviously we have
- 14:21looked back at that game. We've analyzed
- 14:22it again as part of our normal process
- 14:25preparing for a fixture. Um I think the
- 14:28the biggest thing we take from that game
- 14:29is everything everybody spoke about us
- 14:31in the last few days really is about the
- 14:33spirit of the group and about the um
- 14:36about the attitude of the players and
- 14:38that never say die, never give up, they
- 14:40always fight to the end. Um, and we
- 14:43showed that back then and we're showing
- 14:44that now. So, the resilience and the
- 14:46character of the group is something
- 14:47we've shown for a long period. Um, and
- 14:49we take that from that game. Obviously,
- 14:51there'll be certain things that are
- 14:53relevant and and certain things that
- 14:54won't be relevant just because the
- 14:56change of players in both teams um
- 14:59changes style. Every game's different.
- 15:01Every game gives you different
- 15:02opportunities. So, we'll prepare this as
- 15:04a fresh challenge, as a new challenge,
- 15:06but we'll reflect back on obviously the
- 15:08challenges that we had that day, how
- 15:10difficult it is to go and play in that
- 15:12stadium. Um, and make sure the players
- 15:14are are mentally focused and ready to
- 15:16compete.
- 15:45Foreign
- 15:52speech. Foreign speech. Foreign speech.
- 16:10asche.
- 16:42foreign.
- 17:02Okay. Thank you.
