  1. 0:00LinkedIn has completely just changed its
  2. 0:02algorithms. So, if you've been posting
  3. 0:04content recently and noticed a big
  4. 0:06decline in your views and impressions,
  5. 0:09you're not imagining it. There's new
  6. 0:10rules to the way the LinkedIn algorithms
  7. 0:12work, and that's exactly what I'm about
  8. 0:14to show you. So, recently LinkedIn
  9. 0:16released a nine-page report talking
  10. 0:18about the algorithm update. Now, here's
  11. 0:20what they said. They didn't change it,
  12. 0:22they didn't tweak it, they replaced it.
  13. 0:24And it is all replaced now with AI. So,
  14. 0:28the old rules of what you might have
  15. 0:30been following before do no no longer
  16. 0:32apply. You need to understand the new
  17. 0:34way the algorithm works, especially if
  18. 0:36you're trying to get buyers, if you're
  19. 0:37trying to get in front of the right
  20. 0:38people so that you can sell your
  21. 0:40services. So, here's how this video's
  22. 0:41going to be structured. Number one, I'm
  23. 0:43going to summarize the nine-page report
  24. 0:45so you know exactly how the new
  25. 0:47algorithms work. Number two, we're going
  26. 0:49to go over how this affects your
  27. 0:50business and what you should be focusing
  28. 0:52on. And number three, I'm going to teach
  29. 0:54you how to understand the algorithms to
  30. 0:56figure out whether it's working for you
  31. 0:58or whether it's working against you. So,
  32. 1:00what did this nine-page report actually
  33. 1:01say? Well, first, the entire algorithm
  34. 1:04now is AI. Before, it was just a bunch
  35. 1:07of developers who made a set of rules
  36. 1:10that everyone had to follow. They would
  37. 1:11make it like this, if X user does this,
  38. 1:14here's the reaction, which made it
  39. 1:16really easy for us to figure out, and
  40. 1:18that's why people were manipulating the
  41. 1:19algorithms. That's why engagement pods
  42. 1:21were a big thing. That's why people were
  43. 1:23posting content and getting incredibly
  44. 1:24viral views. Now, it's no longer the
  45. 1:26case. Now, the AI studies your LinkedIn
  46. 1:30profile and your LinkedIn activity as a
  47. 1:31whole. It's no longer just
  48. 1:33individualized things. Now, the LinkedIn
  49. 1:35AI is studying, okay, who are you
  50. 1:37actually connected with? Okay, what kind
  51. 1:39of content are you posting? And it will
  52. 1:40no longer just look for keywords. The AI
  53. 1:43has the actual ability to read your
  54. 1:45entire post and then determine who would
  55. 1:48be the best fit for it. Now, this is
  56. 1:50actually massively beneficial for you
  57. 1:53because you don't need thousands of
  58. 1:54people looking at your content,
  59. 1:56especially if you're trying to sell
  60. 1:57something, what you need to focus on is
  61. 1:59the right targeting. If you get the
  62. 2:01right messaging dialed in in your
  63. 2:02content and the AI understands who
  64. 2:05you're trying to show your content to,
  65. 2:06the algorithms will just put it in front
  66. 2:08of those people. So, even though you
  67. 2:09might actually have lower impressions or
  68. 2:11lower views than before, your business
  69. 2:14results are going to shoot up. The most
  70. 2:16important thing is just knowing how to
  71. 2:18tell the AI algorithms who you're
  72. 2:21targeting. So, here's how the new
  73. 2:22algorithm works. The moment you press
  74. 2:25publish on your LinkedIn post, the AI
  75. 2:27will read your post and determine who it
  76. 2:30is for. Then, it will immediately start
  77. 2:33distributing your content to who they
  78. 2:35think it is for. And if that group of
  79. 2:38people starts to engage with your post,
  80. 2:41then the AI gets the trigger, "Okay,
  81. 2:44that was a correct assumption. Let's
  82. 2:46show it to more of those people." And if
  83. 2:48more of those people engage, then the
  84. 2:50algorithms continue to show it to more
  85. 2:51and more. That's why targeting is now
  86. 2:54incredibly more important than ever
  87. 2:56before. And that's why you need to have
  88. 2:57your business set up properly if you
  89. 2:59want to take advantage of these new
  90. 3:01algorithms. So, what does this all mean?
  91. 3:02It means that LinkedIn is now doing your
  92. 3:05prospecting for you. Before, if you
  93. 3:07wanted to get in front of your buyers,
  94. 3:09you had to optimize for maximum reach.
  95. 3:11You would have to publish content, hope
  96. 3:13it went massively viral, and then
  97. 3:16hopefully your ideal buyers would see
  98. 3:18it, engage with you, all of that. Now,
  99. 3:21it's the reverse. You don't need to
  100. 3:22worry about views so much because if
  101. 3:24your messaging is dialed in, the buyers
  102. 3:26will come to you. So, this is great news
  103. 3:27because now LinkedIn is your personal
  104. 3:29prospecting tool. Before, when you were
  105. 3:31creating content, you had to hope in a
  106. 3:33sea of thousands and thousands of people
  107. 3:35your ideal buyers would find you. Now,
  108. 3:37LinkedIn is trying to help you out.
  109. 3:39LinkedIn's trying to get your right
  110. 3:40buyers to see you all organically, too.
  111. 3:43So, let's go through an example here.
  112. 3:44So, let's say you're a career coach and
  113. 3:46you create a post about five tips to get
  114. 3:49a salary raise and a promotion. Well,
  115. 3:52now here's the problem. The AI will see
  116. 3:54this post and because it's so broad,
  117. 3:56they're going to say, "Hmm, we don't
  118. 3:58know who to share this to." So, now
  119. 3:59they're going to try and share it to
  120. 4:00multiple people who are probably not the
  121. 4:03buyers you're trying to attract, which
  122. 4:05is going to kill the reach of the post
  123. 4:07and you're going to lose both ways.
  124. 4:08You're going to get less engagement,
  125. 4:10less views, and your buyers are not
  126. 4:12going to see you. Now, let's say we took
  127. 4:14that same post and added specificity to
  128. 4:17it. Let's say we made the post about how
  129. 4:19senior tech leaders trying to get into
  130. 4:22executive positions can get that role
  131. 4:25and get the salary raise. Now, the
  132. 4:27algorithms know exactly who you're
  133. 4:29targeting and they will show it to those
  134. 4:31people. Obviously, the post itself needs
  135. 4:33to be engaging. Just because your
  136. 4:34targeting is right doesn't automatically
  137. 4:36entitle you to like all of your ideal
  138. 4:38buyers, but assuming the post is set up
  139. 4:40correctly, it's written in an engaging
  140. 4:42way, then yes, the algorithms will
  141. 4:43happily show it to those people. It's a
  142. 4:45win-win, right? Because remember this,
  143. 4:46LinkedIn is a publicly traded company
  144. 4:48and its value is based on its stock.
  145. 4:51Now, one of the most important key
  146. 4:52metrics that affects the stock price is
  147. 4:55retention, retention on the website. So,
  148. 4:58if you start creating good content
  149. 4:59specific to your ideal buyer, specific
  150. 5:01to a person that's engaging, guess what?
  151. 5:04You are then keeping more people on the
  152. 5:06LinkedIn platform. So, LinkedIn is
  153. 5:08saying, "Wow, you're helping us increase
  154. 5:10our retention rate, which is going to
  155. 5:11bring up our stock price, which is going
  156. 5:13to make all the shareholders more money.
  157. 5:15So, yeah, of course, we're going to give
  158. 5:16you more reach." It's a mutually
  159. 5:17beneficial relationship. So, here's the
  160. 5:19thing though, on paper, it might look
  161. 5:22like your post is actually doing worse
  162. 5:23than before, but it's not. Just because
  163. 5:26your impressions are down does not mean
  164. 5:28that it's not going to bring you more
  165. 5:29buyers or anything. In fact, like I said
  166. 5:31before, you have to understand that it's
  167. 5:33a new game we're playing. Yes, the reach
  168. 5:35and views are down, but the targeting is
  169. 5:37up. So, focus on getting your targeting
  170. 5:40right. Don't focus on the impressions.
  171. 5:42They're no longer cause and effect
  172. 5:44relationship anymore, right? Before,
  173. 5:46yes, more impressions, more views meant
  174. 5:49a higher chance of more buyers. That's
  175. 5:50just not the case anymore. Now, this is
  176. 5:52really valuable for new creators on the
  177. 5:54platform. Even if you have a small
  178. 5:55audience now, LinkedIn is no longer
  179. 5:57looking at your follower count to for
  180. 5:59distribution. They're looking at the
  181. 6:01content itself for the distribution and
  182. 6:04who they should show it to. So, if
  183. 6:05you're new to LinkedIn, you're starting
  184. 6:06to post content, you have a smaller
  185. 6:08audience, this algorithm update is the
  186. 6:10best thing that could have possibly
  187. 6:11happened to you. Now, here's the thing I
  188. 6:13want you to remember. As a LinkedIn
  189. 6:15business coach myself, the posts that
  190. 6:17bring in the most money, the posts that
  191. 6:19bring in your best clients, are the ones
  192. 6:22that don't look like they're working at
  193. 6:24all. Look at my screen right now, I'll
  194. 6:25show you an example. Okay, so come look
  195. 6:27at this post over here. On paper, it
  196. 6:28just looks like a regular post. As you
  197. 6:30can see, 16 likes, 846 impressions,
  198. 6:34nothing crazy at all. In fact, I'll read
  199. 6:36it to you. I said, "Smart people
  200. 6:38struggle in business the most. School
  201. 6:39trained them perfectly. From elementary
  202. 6:41school, there was always protocol.
  203. 6:43Follow the steps and you would get good
  204. 6:44grades. Good grades mean good
  205. 6:46opportunities. Most people think
  206. 6:47business is the opposite. False.
  207. 6:49Business is the same game. There's
  208. 6:51protocol and structure, a way things
  209. 6:53need to be done if you want the outcome.
  210. 6:55The problem is, most coaches on LinkedIn
  211. 6:57are posting content without
  212. 6:59understanding the system behind the
  213. 7:00platform. So, they work hard, but the
  214. 7:02buyers never show up. This Thursday at
  215. 7:044:00 p.m. Eastern Time, I'm hosting a
  216. 7:07live LinkedIn group coaching call where
  217. 7:09I'm breaking down exactly how the
  218. 7:11LinkedIn algorithms work in 2026 and the
  219. 7:13type of content that attracts
  220. 7:15high-ticket buyers. I'm also going to
  221. 7:17evaluate the content of attendees so
  222. 7:19they learn how to get more buyers. Small
  223. 7:21room, it'll be 11 people total. If you
  224. 7:23want one of the seats, just like this
  225. 7:25post and I'll send you the details.
  226. 7:26Seems like a normal post, right? Well,
  227. 7:28this post made me $15,000,
  228. 7:30and I'll show you exactly how. So, at
  229. 7:32the end here, if you notice my call to
  230. 7:33action said, "Just like this post and
  231. 7:35I'll send you the details." Well, as you
  232. 7:37can see, 15 people liked the post. Of
  233. 7:39the 15 people that liked the post, we
  234. 7:41invited them to the webinar. Of the 15,
  235. 7:4411 of them actually accepted. I believe
  236. 7:46eight showed up, four ended up booking
  237. 7:48calls, three people purchased. They
  238. 7:51bought at a $5,000 package, and guess
  239. 7:53what? 15k generated from a single
  240. 7:56LinkedIn post. Now, here's the beauty of
  241. 7:58all this. Because of the new algorithms,
  242. 8:01I didn't need that many impressions. As
  243. 8:03you can see, only 846. I've had posts
  244. 8:06with 200 impressions that still brought
  245. 8:08me buyers. Why? Because the algorithms
  246. 8:11hyper-targeted my ideal buyers. It was
  247. 8:14the career coaches looking at me. It was
  248. 8:15the executive coaches. It was the
  249. 8:16leadership coaches. All the people I
  250. 8:18wanted to see my content were looking
  251. 8:20right at me. Because the way I set my
  252. 8:23post up, I talked about who the training
  253. 8:24was for. I talked about who the post was
  254. 8:26for. I set up my content the right way,
  255. 8:29so that when the AI read it, it said,
  256. 8:31"Okay, cool. I know exactly who to show
  257. 8:32it to." And then, boom. What ended up
  258. 8:35happening? Three new clients enrolled in
  259. 8:37the program, cash collected, organic
  260. 8:39post. The same can be done for you if
  261. 8:41you do your content correctly. Now, let
  262. 8:43me show you another example that was the
  263. 8:45exact opposite result. So, over here,
  264. 8:48this is a meme I found. I found this on
  265. 8:50Instagram and I reposted it, and I said,
  266. 8:52"There's no way this can be real." And
  267. 8:54it says, "Hi Ryan, I noticed you headed
  268. 8:56out a little early yesterday 4:57 p.m.
  269. 8:58While we appreciate your work, we need
  270. 9:00to make sure we are being fair to the
  271. 9:01rest of the team who stay until the end
  272. 9:03of the work day. To make up for the
  273. 9:04short time deficit, you can either take
  274. 9:06a slightly shorter lunch today or stay
  275. 9:08until 5:03 p.m. this evening. Let's make
  276. 9:10sure we are watching the clock a bit
  277. 9:11more closely moving forward. We are a
  278. 9:13team. Thanks." This post got over
  279. 9:15100,000
  280. 9:16impressions, hundreds of likes, tons of
  281. 9:19engagement and comments, reposts and
  282. 9:22all. Do you know what this post
  283. 9:23generated for me? Zero.
  284. 9:25Zero leads, zero clients, zero
  285. 9:28everything. In fact, it probably put me
  286. 9:29in a worse position because I confused
  287. 9:31the algorithms. Now, the algorithm
  288. 9:33doesn't know who to show my content to.
  289. 9:34It's like, "Oh, well, he's been posting
  290. 9:36for coaches, consultants, people like
  291. 9:38that on LinkedIn, and now all of a
  292. 9:39sudden all these other people are liking
  293. 9:41his post." So, this post, despite it
  294. 9:43getting all these awesome views, hurt me
  295. 9:45more than it helped me. This is what I'm
  296. 9:47trying to tell you, don't worry about
  297. 9:48the views, forget about them. Focus on
  298. 9:51your targeting, that's all the new
  299. 9:52algorithm is about. Now, here's the
  300. 9:54second part of the algorithm updates
  301. 9:56that we haven't discussed yet, and it's
  302. 9:57arguably even more important. Now,
  303. 10:00imagine you are a career coach, and you
  304. 10:02help women in tech get promotions. And
  305. 10:05you start creating content on that.
  306. 10:07Well, your ideal buyer, that woman in
  307. 10:09tech, is not going to like or comment on
  308. 10:11your post. They don't want their boss to
  309. 10:12see that they're trying to get a
  310. 10:14promotion, or they're trying to leave
  311. 10:15their job. They just won't do it, but
  312. 10:17they won't engage in the post. Now,
  313. 10:19before with the old algorithms, that was
  314. 10:21detrimental, because if they didn't
  315. 10:23engage with your post, that meant, "Oh,
  316. 10:25well, they're not interested, we're not
  317. 10:26going to show it to anyone." The new
  318. 10:28algorithms are not basing it on the
  319. 10:30likes and comments anymore. They want to
  320. 10:32know how long did someone actually spend
  321. 10:35reading your post. Did they actually
  322. 10:37read it? Because they can track the
  323. 10:38scroll, they can track that you stopped,
  324. 10:40looked at the post, read through it.
  325. 10:42That is massive. Now, what this means is
  326. 10:46that what you really need now is a good
  327. 10:48end-to-end client acquisition system.
  328. 10:51You know that your ideal buyers are most
  329. 10:52likely not going to engage with your
  330. 10:54post, right? There's a difference in
  331. 10:55behavior between followers and buyers.
  332. 10:58You saw it in the last example I showed
  333. 11:00you, right? That meme post, bunch of
  334. 11:02followers, they'll like it, they'll
  335. 11:03comment, do all that. Buyers, not so
  336. 11:06much. Buyers stay in the shadow until
  337. 11:08they see an opportunity to move forward
  338. 11:11throughout the actual buying process.
  339. 11:13So, you want to set up a legit client
  340. 11:16acquisition system so that you can take
  341. 11:18your ideal buyer and bring them closer
  342. 11:21towards getting on a phone call with
  343. 11:22you, learning about your services, and
  344. 11:24actually paying you to start working
  345. 11:26with you. Now, to help you with that, I
  346. 11:28actually filmed a 1-hour training video
  347. 11:32teaching exactly how to get three to
  348. 11:34five clients from LinkedIn every single
  349. 11:36month organically. If you want to get
  350. 11:38that training, I've put the link in the
  351. 11:40description below. You can just click
  352. 11:41that right now, download it, and it is
  353. 11:44yours. So, now let's go into whether the
  354. 11:46LinkedIn algorithms are working for you
  355. 11:47or against you. And it starts with your
  356. 11:50LinkedIn profile. Come look at my
  357. 11:52LinkedIn profile over here. If you look
  358. 11:53at my headline here that I've
  359. 11:54highlighted, what does it say? LinkedIn
  360. 11:56business coach for career and executive
  361. 11:59coaches. Build 20 to 30,000 dollar per
  362. 12:02month coaching business. This is
  363. 12:04incredibly important. What am I doing?
  364. 12:06I'm signaling to the algorithms, "Okay,
  365. 12:09this is exactly who I help, and this is
  366. 12:11the end result I help them get." I'm not
  367. 12:13talking about my accolades. I'm not
  368. 12:15talking about how I have a master's
  369. 12:16degree or how I achieved this or any of
  370. 12:19that. No, no, no. What I'm saying is,
  371. 12:21"This is who I help. This is the end
  372. 12:22result I help them get." This helps the
  373. 12:24algorithms figure out, "Okay, this is
  374. 12:27who we want to target." It's not just
  375. 12:29your content that the AI is scanning.
  376. 12:31It's scanning everything now. It's
  377. 12:33scanning your LinkedIn profile. Yes,
  378. 12:35it's scanning your content. It's looking
  379. 12:37at every piece it can get so that it can
  380. 12:39make the most targeted decision towards
  381. 12:42getting you in front of your ideal
  382. 12:44buyers. So, make sure you have your
  383. 12:46LinkedIn profile set up correctly. In
  384. 12:47fact, I just recorded a video last week
  385. 12:50showing you in depth how to set up your
  386. 12:52LinkedIn profile. If you want to go
  387. 12:54watch that, it's literally the previous
  388. 12:55video before this one. I'll put it right
  389. 12:57here as well if you want to save it for
  390. 12:58later. So, one of the easiest ways to
  391. 13:00determine if the LinkedIn algorithms are
  392. 13:01working for you or against you is to see
  393. 13:04who's viewing your profile. So, come
  394. 13:05look at mine over here. So, if you go
  395. 13:07down to premium features, this is a
  396. 13:09LinkedIn premium feature, by the way,
  397. 13:11and you go to see profile viewers. Just
  398. 13:13look. So, I'm looking at mine right
  399. 13:15here. Obviously, I'm targeting career
  400. 13:17coaches, executive coaches, business
  401. 13:18coaches. Right away, two hours ago,
  402. 13:21Soma. Hopefully, I'm saying her name
  403. 13:22right. Award-winning career coach and
  404. 13:24podcaster. Great. Who else is looking at
  405. 13:27me over here?
  406. 13:28Sherry, career coach, 14 hours ago.
  407. 13:31Got it. Who else is looking at me?
  408. 13:34Executive coach, Angelo. Right? You can
  409. 13:36see the list goes on and on and on and
  410. 13:39on. Why? Because Right here, Maria,
  411. 13:41leadership burnout advisor. The reason
  412. 13:43these people are looking at me and
  413. 13:45finding me and checking out my LinkedIn
  414. 13:46profile is because I've set all of the
  415. 13:48pieces up correctly. My content, my
  416. 13:51profile, my messaging, all of those are
  417. 13:54working harmoniously to tell the new AI
  418. 13:56algorithms, "Hey, this is who I am, this
  419. 13:58is who I help, and this is who I want
  420. 14:00looking at me." And then, boom, as you
  421. 14:02can see, it's a great mutually
  422. 14:04beneficial relationship between me and
  423. 14:06LinkedIn together. And it's the same for
  424. 14:08you. Make sure you have all three set
  425. 14:10up, and it's not really much of a wait
  426. 14:12time. You'll see quite quickly, quite
  427. 14:15immediately rather, how much the
  428. 14:17algorithms are going to start putting
  429. 14:18you in front of the right people. So, I
  430. 14:20want you to do something really
  431. 14:21important right now. I want you to go
  432. 14:23look at your profile and see who is
  433. 14:25looking at you. And if it's not the
  434. 14:27right buyers, that immediately means
  435. 14:30that there is a disconnect in your
  436. 14:32content, in your messaging, in your
  437. 14:34LinkedIn profile, and it is something
  438. 14:35you need to fix immediately. Now, if you
  439. 14:37don't have LinkedIn Premium yet, okay,
  440. 14:40fair enough. Go look at the people
  441. 14:41engaging with your content. That you can
  442. 14:44still see even on a free profile. If the
  443. 14:46people engaging with your content, at
  444. 14:47least 50% of them are not your ideal
  445. 14:50buyers, are not the ideal people you're
  446. 14:52targeting, again, it means there is a
  447. 14:55disconnect in the algorithm and you.
  448. 14:58There's The algorithm is not
  449. 14:59understanding who you are trying to
  450. 15:01target, and that is something you need
  451. 15:02to fix immediately. So, quick recap on
  452. 15:04everything. The new LinkedIn AI
  453. 15:06algorithms, they are not our enemy. They
  454. 15:09are our friends. We just need to know
  455. 15:11the new rules of them. So, watch this
  456. 15:13video again, go through it, take notes,
  457. 15:15and then go and apply it. Because if you
  458. 15:18get this right, this can massively boost
  459. 15:20your business. This can massively get
  460. 15:22you in front of more of the right people
  461. 15:24and get you towards your goals of what
  462. 15:25you're trying to achieve on LinkedIn.
  463. 15:27So, thanks again for watching. I'll see
  464. 15:29you in the next video. Take care.
