  1. 0:00what's going on like should we be afraid
  2. 0:02I always recommend hope versus fear do
  3. 0:04you think we'll come to a world where we
  4. 0:05don't need that many people
  5. 0:08working do you think In Our Lifetime
  6. 0:10look it's possible today I'm sitting
  7. 0:11down with Reed Hoffman co-founder of
  8. 0:13LinkedIn and someone who's on the
  9. 0:15Forefront of building and using new AI
  10. 0:17tools I wanted to have a conversation
  11. 0:19with someone who's deep in it about what
  12. 0:21our future is going to look like when AI
  13. 0:23is going to be even more adopted in the
  14. 0:25world will AI take over our jobs will
  15. 0:27robots replace Us in the near future
  16. 0:30what will the world look like when
  17. 0:31machines grow smarter faster and more
  18. 0:33capable than ever before what should we
  19. 0:35be doing right now and what tools do we
  20. 0:37need to stay ahead let's dive deep into
  21. 0:40this conversation with Reed Hoffman hey
  22. 0:42guys welcome to silicone valir I have
  23. 0:44one of the most exciting guests today
  24. 0:46Reed thank you so much for being here my
  25. 0:48pleasure you're amazing LinkedIn is one
  26. 0:51of the platforms where I'm very active
  27. 0:53and uh readed founded LinkedIn and now
  28. 0:56you're all about AI you created an AI
  29. 0:58version of yourself read AI introduce
  30. 1:00yourself to everyone hello everyone I'm
  31. 1:02thrilled to be here today I'm an AI
  32. 1:04generated version of Reed Hoffman his
  33. 1:06digital twin a lot of people watch my
  34. 1:08channel actually really worried I'm
  35. 1:09worried as well sometimes when I look at
  36. 1:11the content AI generated you know some
  37. 1:13people are getting replaced like editors
  38. 1:15used to cut those short videos now we
  39. 1:16use an app to do that what's going on
  40. 1:19like should we be afraid I always
  41. 1:21recommend hope versus fear and and
  42. 1:24curiosity and optimism versus you know
  43. 1:26paranoia but it doesn't mean that it
  44. 1:28isn't painful to do the transition so
  45. 1:31yes AI tools will be available in a
  46. 1:34small number of years for everything and
  47. 1:36there'll be AI tools for not just the
  48. 1:38thing I've created with re AI but like
  49. 1:41real time interaction with read Ai and
  50. 1:43all the rest of that and that will
  51. 1:44happen but what we should be doing is
  52. 1:45figure out how do we add our own
  53. 1:48creativity I mean you're one of the
  54. 1:50creators and every else how do we add
  55. 1:51our own creativity and amplify ourselves
  56. 1:53with the tools so like for example of
  57. 1:56course you could have an AI just do all
  58. 1:57your short editing I bet you the AI
  59. 1:59doing your short editing is not as good
  60. 2:01as the AI plus a human doing it and a
  61. 2:04human using it can now do a whole bunch
  62. 2:06more than they before and they might be
  63. 2:08able to say let's create 15 different
  64. 2:11versions and like test them to see which
  65. 2:14are good and do that and all of a sudden
  66. 2:15you have that acceleration of superpower
  67. 2:17so fear is generally best converted to
  68. 2:20curiosity that doesn't mean it won't be
  69. 2:23difficult and that won't doesn't mean
  70. 2:24that you won't be learning new things CU
  71. 2:26AI will be learning new things and
  72. 2:28becoming better and better exactly but
  73. 2:30it's part of the reason why I encourage
  74. 2:31people to go play with it go try it
  75. 2:33because as they realize it they go oh I
  76. 2:35can still do these things using AI so
  77. 2:38you know for example if I'm writing an
  78. 2:40essay as opposed to starting with a
  79. 2:42blank page I'm probably going to start
  80. 2:45with a gbd4 prompt right and say hey I'm
  81. 2:48think about this this this this and this
  82. 2:49I got this okay now this is what I'm
  83. 2:51going to start working from in terms of
  84. 2:53how to do it and that by the way just
  85. 2:54accelerates me and makes my ability to
  86. 2:56bring in my intelligence supposed to
  87. 2:58having to type a lot and stare at the
  88. 2:59blank page I can move faster and get to
  89. 3:02more interesting things and so it's a
  90. 3:05it's a be curious and hopeful but
  91. 3:09doesn't mean don't expect you know
  92. 3:12potholes transitions
  93. 3:15difficulties those will be there too
  94. 3:17there are some skills that we need to
  95. 3:19learn in the next couple years to not be
  96. 3:21left behind obviously like testing apps
  97. 3:23but also I've heard from someone that
  98. 3:26it's getting a lot easier to code like I
  99. 3:28can learn just some basic things and
  100. 3:30that use the co-pilot tools and they
  101. 3:32will help me would you suggest doing
  102. 3:33that or just wait another couple years
  103. 3:35when we don't even need coding and we
  104. 3:36just talk to well so I think within this
  105. 3:41year 2025 it will quickly become that
  106. 3:44every engineer is using at least one
  107. 3:45co-pilot agent and that's part of what
  108. 3:47professional is and I think perhaps by
  109. 3:50the end of next year
  110. 3:522026 all of us will have a lightweight
  111. 3:55coding assistant that doesn't mean it'll
  112. 3:57code the great iPhone app for you or it
  113. 4:01will you know invent that that game that
  114. 4:04you've been thinking of um but it will
  115. 4:07help you do things like research like
  116. 4:09you say hey bring these multiple
  117. 4:11information sources and documents and
  118. 4:13put them all together and generate a
  119. 4:15list of questions and then generate some
  120. 4:17provisional answers and it will help you
  121. 4:18with that and then the coding element
  122. 4:20will help pull all that stuff together
  123. 4:22and that will be part of superpow that
  124. 4:24you and I will now have in that
  125. 4:26generally speaking AI I don't suggest
  126. 4:27waiting because part of what you want to
  127. 4:30be doing you know just like any new
  128. 4:32technological Revolution whether when
  129. 4:34YouTube was happening when the
  130. 4:36internet's happening the folks who go
  131. 4:38and adopt and play with it early then
  132. 4:40have a differential Edge in the change
  133. 4:43that it means in the industry and their
  134. 4:45society and so even though three years
  135. 4:48from now the coding tools will be and
  136. 4:50agents will be much better than they are
  137. 4:52now the people who started playing with
  138. 4:54them now will probably be the people who
  139. 4:57know how to use them and deploy them
  140. 4:58much more comfortably early I want to
  141. 5:01quickly pause here and say that I love
  142. 5:04how sees potential of AI adoption as a
  143. 5:07mom of Two And A Creative entrepreneur I
  144. 5:09deeply understand the need to stay ahead
  145. 5:11of the curve and every day I am looking
  146. 5:13for ways to work smarter not harder and
  147. 5:16AI tools have been a GameChanger for my
  148. 5:18productivity but with hundreds of AI
  149. 5:20tools launching every single day like I
  150. 5:23open my Instagram feed every morning and
  151. 5:25there is this new AI app with a viral
  152. 5:28effect so the question is how do you
  153. 5:30know which ones are worth your time and
  154. 5:32money that's why I'm excited to share
  155. 5:34hubspot's comprehensive AI tool kit
  156. 5:36guide their free resource cuts through
  157. 5:38the noise to bring you 40 plus carefully
  158. 5:40vetted AI tools that actually deliver
  159. 5:43results inside you'll discover strategic
  160. 5:45combinations of free and PID tools that
  161. 5:47multiply your productivity step-by-step
  162. 5:50guidance to automate your most
  163. 5:51time-consuming tasks and expert
  164. 5:53recommendations tailored for Freelancers
  165. 5:55startups and growing businesses don't
  166. 5:57waste time and money testing dozens of
  167. 6:00tools when experts have done all the
  168. 6:02work with this guide you can start
  169. 6:04building your optimal AI toolkit by the
  170. 6:07way this guide is completely free and it
  171. 6:09could save you countless hours and
  172. 6:10thousands of dollars in unnecessary
  173. 6:12software cost if you're ready to
  174. 6:14transform your workflow and integrate AI
  175. 6:16into your everyday life look in the
  176. 6:18description below download the guy now
  177. 6:20enjoy the AI Revolution on your terms
  178. 6:23and thank you so much HubSpot for
  179. 6:24sponsoring this video we're talking
  180. 6:26about like 2 years yes of course AI will
  181. 6:28not be able to come up with an app
  182. 6:30but I'm thinking that in 15 years I will
  183. 6:33tell AI like come up with a business
  184. 6:34idea code an app or a website start
  185. 6:37selling figure out the marketing
  186. 6:38strategy like what should I tell my
  187. 6:40daughters uh what should they be
  188. 6:42learning now should they be acquiring
  189. 6:44academic knowledge or just learning
  190. 6:45social skills because this is what we'll
  191. 6:47have left for like well I think it's
  192. 6:49always good to learn social skills but
  193. 6:52for example take that thing over where
  194. 6:53you say say everyone was going to gbd4
  195. 6:55and say give me an idea for a lemonade
  196. 6:58stay in business well it'll give them
  197. 7:00all the same idea but it has the memory
  198. 7:02feature so it's well but it has the
  199. 7:03memory feature for you it's not
  200. 7:05necessarily taking that memory feature
  201. 7:06for other folks it depends a little bit
  202. 7:08and depends on how the learning and
  203. 7:09training but generally speaking say all
  204. 7:12million 5-year-olds were equally
  205. 7:14provisioned with
  206. 7:15gbd4 which lemonade stands are going to
  207. 7:18work well the the 5-year-olds who think
  208. 7:21oh I should make my lemonade stand with
  209. 7:24Hello Kitty right like I I I know I know
  210. 7:26my neighborhood I know my people really
  211. 7:28like Hello Kitty so so I'll go in and
  212. 7:30I'll prompt it for what would a Hello
  213. 7:32Kitty you know lemonade standby and so
  214. 7:34that engagement and learning how to use
  215. 7:36the tool just like learning how to use
  216. 7:39an iPhone or learning how to use you
  217. 7:41know a computer learning how to use you
  218. 7:43know kind of and obviously you know
  219. 7:45Photoshop and everything else are now
  220. 7:46going to be much easier because one of
  221. 7:48the things AI is is it's like the meta
  222. 7:50tool and so it'll as opposed to having
  223. 7:52to learn all the details of Photoshop
  224. 7:55you can just use the AI to say well I'm
  225. 7:57really thinking about something that has
  226. 7:58this kind of look can this kind of light
  227. 8:00effect can you do that and it'll figure
  228. 8:01out how to do that for you yeah um as
  229. 8:03opposed to all the mechanics so that
  230. 8:05kind of um uh visual thinking um or you
  231. 8:09know creativity or tool use is the thing
  232. 8:11that you also want to be instilling with
  233. 8:14a kind of a a direction of always be
  234. 8:16learning but fundamentals like
  235. 8:18mathematics uh basic coding you still
  236. 8:21it's still going to be I think that the
  237. 8:23coding mindset is still useful I I don't
  238. 8:26think yes I don't think it's all about
  239. 8:27the mindset and the way we think yes
  240. 8:29exactly it's a little bit like you know
  241. 8:31people were terrified when calculators
  242. 8:32came up that people would stop learning
  243. 8:34math and it's like no no no but you stop
  244. 8:37learning the okay you know I have this
  245. 8:39whole process of how I carry the one and
  246. 8:41do all the rest of I understand how it
  247. 8:42works but I use the calculator or now
  248. 8:45the computer or the phone to do the math
  249. 8:47but I still understand math I still need
  250. 8:48to understand math I still think about
  251. 8:50math in different ways I'm just I'm not
  252. 8:53um like the job of what I am is a human
  253. 8:57calculating machine that job doesn't
  254. 8:59exist yeah do you think we'll come to a
  255. 9:01world where we don't need that many
  256. 9:03people
  257. 9:04working you know it's possible um I
  258. 9:08don't think it's actually in fact any
  259. 9:09near uh any near time we see the trends
  260. 9:13like silon Valley working four days
  261. 9:15people are Wednesday they're like
  262. 9:17already preparing for the weekend well
  263. 9:20none of the compan what I've seen like
  264. 9:21in bars Etc they're full Wednesdays and
  265. 9:24Thursdays well uh the bars may be full
  266. 9:28but none of the the uh companies that
  267. 9:31I'm uh working with are working less
  268. 9:34than 80 hour weeks okay but those those
  269. 9:36are startups or yeah yes but like bigger
  270. 9:39companies but I think bigger companies
  271. 9:41are also working their way back through
  272. 9:42the pandemic it's part of the reason why
  273. 9:44they return to office and all the rest
  274. 9:46of this in terms of it and and I think
  275. 9:49that the you know for example Germany is
  276. 9:51an example of an industrialized society
  277. 9:53that went to a very rigorously
  278. 9:55maintained number of hours work week and
  279. 9:57I think it's possible but I think that
  280. 10:00because you know human beings tend to
  281. 10:04want to go do epic things work really
  282. 10:06hard sometimes make themselves wealthy
  283. 10:09you know spend a whole bunch of time on
  284. 10:10a YouTube channel etc etc that I think
  285. 10:13that that a large number of people will
  286. 10:15still be very engaged so I don't think
  287. 10:16it's it's necessarily a uh a quick
  288. 10:20General Retirement so you're not think
  289. 10:22because my thought was like if it if AI
  290. 10:24continues to develop that fast we're
  291. 10:25going to have Universal basic income and
  292. 10:28then some people are going to work and
  293. 10:29some people are going to just enjoy
  294. 10:30lives do you think that's that might be
  295. 10:32reality I think people like uh competing
  296. 10:36for things look it's possible like if
  297. 10:39you got to a point where you had enough
  298. 10:42you know kind of this science fiction
  299. 10:44Star Trek kind of future where you had
  300. 10:45enough you know kind of robots that were
  301. 10:48producing everything produced you know
  302. 10:50all of our material needs robots who put
  303. 10:52your kids to bed do you hungry and it's
  304. 10:55possible but by the way if you even if
  305. 10:56you think about like how long it will
  306. 10:58take to build all those robots well like
  307. 11:02I don't know it's so fast like I've been
  308. 11:04in Sil Bella for 10 years San Francisco
  309. 11:06full of self-driving cars 10 years ago
  310. 11:08couldn't imagine that yes although
  311. 11:10there's still a limited number of those
  312. 11:11cars that are Whos there's still many
  313. 11:13more Ubers and many more lifs I'm just
  314. 11:15saying there's physical constraints in
  315. 11:17the creation of that world that's one of
  316. 11:19the reasons why people are like cuz I I
  317. 11:21talk to the same Silicon Valley people
  318. 11:22you do and it's like we're GNA have
  319. 11:24Universal basic income in five years
  320. 11:26like no chance okay so do you think In
  321. 11:29Our Lifetime not
  322. 11:32impossible look in one hand is like all
  323. 11:35the physical constraints of building all
  324. 11:36everything that matters you know cars
  325. 11:38and clothing and houses and you know all
  326. 11:40the rest of the stuff but then also it
  327. 11:42gets to you know part of what you know
  328. 11:46kind of the human impulse is like we
  329. 11:48compete as you know when a lot of people
  330. 11:50we work with and work alongside here you
  331. 11:54know aren't just content to say well
  332. 11:56I've got a house that's in you know
  333. 11:59downtown Berlin game that's you know two
  334. 12:01bedrooms you know I want the big house
  335. 12:03in Aon you know and so that kind of
  336. 12:05competing still happens and so people
  337. 12:07will still have that as kind of an
  338. 12:09impulse and want that in various ways U
  339. 12:12and you see it not just in economics but
  340. 12:13also of course in sports teams and and
  341. 12:16all the rest of this and and the
  342. 12:18intention economy and all of this and so
  343. 12:20I I tend to think that like there's also
  344. 12:23this human factor that isn't the oh I'm
  345. 12:25I'm just going to be happy you know kind
  346. 12:27of U reading book books gardening Etc
  347. 12:31and so I I I tend to think that the that
  348. 12:34the the kind of We Are All One Nation of
  349. 12:38retirees or one species of
  350. 12:41retirees I think that's almost certainly
  351. 12:44not the future the question is how does
  352. 12:45It Blend between it and obviously the
  353. 12:47people who are who are working hard want
  354. 12:49to have a differential reward for it
  355. 12:50they want something that that plays into
  356. 12:52it that doesn't necessarily mean that
  357. 12:53there isn't Ubi but like um you may even
  358. 12:57need to be what is called CBI which is
  359. 12:59conditional basic income because in
  360. 13:01order to still be engaged in society
  361. 13:03it's like well no you can have a Ubi but
  362. 13:05you have to spend at least 10 hours a
  363. 13:07week doing community service doing
  364. 13:09something that you know helps the local
  365. 13:11seniors or helps the local schools or
  366. 13:13something that so you're engaged in
  367. 13:14society and you're investing it's really
  368. 13:16important for longevity yes exactly so
  369. 13:19what the shape is I think is still very
  370. 13:21very TBD and further out than most of
  371. 13:24the technology Visionaries will have
  372. 13:26that makes me you know feel better okay
  373. 13:29let's talk about entrepreneurship yeah
  374. 13:30what I noticed like my startup we build
  375. 13:32a search engine for study Brad programs
  376. 13:35if you ask me now like would I build
  377. 13:36something like this in 2025 of course
  378. 13:38not I was just build build an AI bot so
  379. 13:41it looks like a lot of business ideas
  380. 13:42especially online there's you only have
  381. 13:45like two or three months before uh open
  382. 13:48AI comes up with another model that
  383. 13:49solves your problem yes do you think
  384. 13:52there's a chance to build like a company
  385. 13:54that's bigger than the mega 7 oh uh
  386. 13:57almost for sure uh I can continue to
  387. 13:59invest um I continue looking uh to do
  388. 14:02that um and I think there will be I
  389. 14:04think we're you know whatever count you
  390. 14:07have five seven I think there will be 10
  391. 14:09to 15 over the next 5 to 10 years I
  392. 14:12think we're broadening out that way now
  393. 14:14you don't do it by building a company
  394. 14:17that is like I'm going to build the new
  395. 14:20iPhone company like I just have a new
  396. 14:21idea for an iPhone like it isn't well
  397. 14:24once a company is really established in
  398. 14:26its position you don't actually take it
  399. 14:28from behind
  400. 14:29what you do is the technology gives you
  401. 14:31a different angle and you start building
  402. 14:33from something else like who would have
  403. 14:35who would have thought five to 10 years
  404. 14:37ago that Nvidia would be the oh yes oh
  405. 14:41yeah right so it's different angles by
  406. 14:43which it happens now um and the fact
  407. 14:47that you know there's you know going to
  408. 14:50be a limited number of what are called
  409. 14:51Frontier models you the largest scale AI
  410. 14:55models doesn't mean that there aren't
  411. 14:57room for Mega AI startup companies
  412. 15:00because it's not only the technology
  413. 15:01model is not the only thing that matters
  414. 15:03it's kind of like how is it productized
  415. 15:05how is it integrated into people's lives
  416. 15:07what's your go to market strategy how do
  417. 15:09those things work and you can still
  418. 15:11create businesses that have Network
  419. 15:12effects marketplaces other kinds of
  420. 15:14things that can be in fact very big and
  421. 15:17so um and so I you know we at Greylock
  422. 15:21um myself we're kind of looking at all
  423. 15:23of the things that uh could create the
  424. 15:26next big Mega companies and that's gener
  425. 15:29speaking what you're looking invest in
  426. 15:30now that being said if someone came
  427. 15:32along now and said I'm going to try to
  428. 15:35build the next open AI from scatch right
  429. 15:37now he like well there is an open AI
  430. 15:39That's doing a really really good job
  431. 15:41what should entrepreneurs look at what
  432. 15:42industries the thing that I had
  433. 15:44predicted you know 15 months ago when I
  434. 15:47was talking to my partners at grock is
  435. 15:48that we were going to see a whole bunch
  436. 15:49of Enterprise apps we're going to see um
  437. 15:52you know kind of workflow productivity
  438. 15:54coding apps um uh legal assistance
  439. 15:57medical assistance tutors
  440. 15:59all that all is great and look I'm happy
  441. 16:01to invest in a bunch of these things
  442. 16:02it's not a billion doll company well
  443. 16:05things don't start as a billion dollar
  444. 16:06company it's the question of of where
  445. 16:08how big and strategic and economic do
  446. 16:11these businesses get and so now for
  447. 16:15me I tend to like to be surprised by the
  448. 16:18entrepreneur who's thinking in a new
  449. 16:20direction that most people aren't
  450. 16:21thinking it was like one of the reasons
  451. 16:22I like the first investment that I
  452. 16:24brought to Greylock was Airbnb right cuz
  453. 16:26it's similar things like every like
  454. 16:28literally like my partners I was like
  455. 16:30people are going to rent a room or a
  456. 16:32house from other people like is this
  457. 16:34real and that kind of thing and so I
  458. 16:37similarly like to look for those kinds
  459. 16:38of things with an AI it's like what's
  460. 16:40something about the use of AI that most
  461. 16:43of the entrepreneurs who are all heading
  462. 16:45towards doing coding Assistance or
  463. 16:47productivity apps or new security
  464. 16:50paradigms haven't quite gotten that's
  465. 16:53like that new way of thinking and it's
  466. 16:54one of the reasons why like for example
  467. 16:56when we're talking about your daughter
  468. 16:57is the the role for creativ ity the role
  469. 16:59for you know kind of uh human you know
  470. 17:03understanding Humanities and so forth is
  471. 17:04still actually in fact very important
  472. 17:06because predicting what those markets
  473. 17:09might be what people might want at scale
  474. 17:12is extremely important and that's the
  475. 17:13kind of feeling of like the markets uh
  476. 17:16some that would be like completely
  477. 17:18changed by Ai and that's the opportunity
  478. 17:20oh um look an an obvious one is kind of
  479. 17:24looking at the set of different
  480. 17:27categories that people aren't
  481. 17:29you know per se thinking about you know
  482. 17:31whether it's marketplaces or networks of
  483. 17:34VAR human networks of various sorts and
  484. 17:35saying hey can AI do something
  485. 17:37interesting here and you know I don't
  486. 17:39usually when I'm ideating on ideas say
  487. 17:42them and a okay of course my top videos
  488. 17:46are like top 10 business ideas whatever
  489. 17:48but like it's just interesting where
  490. 17:49you're looking like healthcare or
  491. 17:51education in general like we're talking
  492. 17:53not about even entrepreneurship but like
  493. 17:54in general where do you feel like the
  494. 17:56biggest change is going to happen with
  495. 17:58AI like what's going to be transformed
  496. 18:00I'm hoping Healthcare well I think
  497. 18:02healthcare is an obvious and very
  498. 18:04important one think about um we have the
  499. 18:07technology today to have a medical
  500. 18:10assistant on your smartphone that's
  501. 18:12better than your average doctor that's
  502. 18:14available
  503. 18:1624x7 to everyone a smartphone that runs
  504. 18:19it under you know call it a couple
  505. 18:21dollars an hour in terms of compute cost
  506. 18:23to run it we should get that as soon as
  507. 18:26possible that doesn't mean doctor's out
  508. 18:28of work there all kinds of things for
  509. 18:29doctors to do because among other things
  510. 18:31the app may say hey these are the three
  511. 18:33things in most probability from these
  512. 18:35things but then the doctor knows oh
  513. 18:37these are the things that I'm seeing in
  514. 18:39the symptom that you didn't tell the AI
  515. 18:41that's actually really important that we
  516. 18:42need to do there's all kinds of and and
  517. 18:44a doctor can spend more time with
  518. 18:46patients because the a like hey look I
  519. 18:47had this whole conversation with my
  520. 18:49medical assistant and here's what I came
  521. 18:51up with and goes oh well let's spend
  522. 18:52more time on this one and spend some
  523. 18:54time because that's all faster given the
  524. 18:56economics of it so I think that is
  525. 18:59clearly gonna happen should happen
  526. 19:01should happen as fast as possible
  527. 19:03another one is a tutor for every subject
  528. 19:05on every age and to make this kind of
  529. 19:07like a personal comment like I've always
  530. 19:10been curious to understand quantum
  531. 19:12mechanics better because you know we
  532. 19:14have this whole new world of quantum
  533. 19:15Computing and I'm trying to understand
  534. 19:17it and I can repeat the stories that you
  535. 19:19know we read but but understanding it in
  536. 19:21some depth is one of the things I've
  537. 19:23always wanted to do well now I have a
  538. 19:24tutor that's infinitely patient they can
  539. 19:27say oh here here's the thing that you
  540. 19:29need to understand these are the
  541. 19:30questions you have about what the
  542. 19:32observer effect in quantum mechanics is
  543. 19:34and here are some of the ways to think
  544. 19:35about it yeah that makes sense okay I'm
  545. 19:37going to wrap up with two final
  546. 19:39questions can you tell me what are your
  547. 19:41three favorite AI
  548. 19:43apps my three favorite AI apps
  549. 19:47um I will say four okay all right um in
  550. 19:52part because you know my own inflection
  551. 19:54Pi has to be one of them so all three in
  552. 19:57addition um chat gbt um from kind of
  553. 20:00like a a research assistant a mid
  554. 20:03Journey from the creation and thinking
  555. 20:06of bringing me into kind of visual
  556. 20:09imagination and um and kind of being
  557. 20:12able to create things visually which I
  558. 20:14never was able to do before and then you
  559. 20:17know partially because I've been
  560. 20:19thinking a lot about we as everyday
  561. 20:22people are all going to have a coding
  562. 20:23co-pilot so I've been playing a lot with
  563. 20:26Microsoft's co-pilot and coding and
  564. 20:28getting myself back into that to
  565. 20:30understand how this is going to
  566. 20:31transform everyone's use of phones and
  567. 20:34computers yeah and the fourth is yours
  568. 20:36yes inflections pie which part of it was
  569. 20:39training uh a chatbot to be as good at
  570. 20:42EQ as it is at IQ to be kind of engaged
  571. 20:46and warm in the conversation and and I
  572. 20:49think we've actually had a great
  573. 20:51industrywide uh impact because I think
  574. 20:53as people have looked at it they've gone
  575. 20:55oh that's really important we're going
  576. 20:56to add some of that into what we're
  577. 20:57doing okay and the last question is
  578. 20:59because you're doing uh the AI version
  579. 21:02of you which looks really realistic now
  580. 21:04that I see in real life because then
  581. 21:06showed me all the videos should everyone
  582. 21:07think about creating an AI version of
  583. 21:10themselves and have you thought about
  584. 21:12like have you have your opinion of your
  585. 21:14legacy changed once you've created uh
  586. 21:16the AI because it can live longer than
  587. 21:19you can live for years although at the
  588. 21:21moment my AI agents live shorter than me
  589. 21:24because we're revising them so a so so
  590. 21:26right now they're actually it's it's
  591. 21:28shorter but you know I do think that
  592. 21:31everyone ultimately should consider it I
  593. 21:33mean especially if you you know you have
  594. 21:35kids and they have grandkids and there
  595. 21:36may be something that's kind of it's
  596. 21:38like Generations talk to each other now
  597. 21:40yes exactly so like that could be a very
  598. 21:43human enhancing case um obviously folks
  599. 21:46who are doing stuff in media like you
  600. 21:47are like I am that's very useful in
  601. 21:49various ways and we've had read AI give
  602. 21:52you know Keynotes at conferences and
  603. 21:54other kinds of things yeah I was just at
  604. 21:56that conference exactly and so I think
  605. 21:59that's another thing your front end is
  606. 22:01not the phone directly calling you but
  607. 22:03you could imagine like like your front
  608. 22:05end is your AI agent I'm trying to
  609. 22:07remember are we like they oh yeah I I
  610. 22:09remember who you are and it's like oh
  611. 22:10are we meeting for uh coffee tomorrow 2
  612. 22:12or 3 oh it's 3 and okay and that could
  613. 22:15all happen with the agent or I really
  614. 22:17need to get to read right now what's the
  615. 22:19issue let's talk about oh wait a minute
  616. 22:22this does sound important let me see if
  617. 22:23I can get them on the phone that's
  618. 22:25awesome even like adopting someone's
  619. 22:27mindset cuz I sometimes ask chbt can you
  620. 22:29think like this person yes exactly
  621. 22:32that's very useful thank you so much
  622. 22:33Reed uh you gave me a lot of Hope
  623. 22:35actually because I was like oh my God
  624. 22:37taking over everything but it's actually
  625. 22:39enhancing us and this is what your new
  626. 22:41book is about right yes and and we're
  627. 22:42doing all kinds of little AI things to
  628. 22:45also you know enhance and promote it
  629. 22:47that's awesome thank you so much you
  630. 22:49thank you
