- 0:07on may 25 2006 australian climber
- 0:10lincoln hall was left for dead by his
- 0:12guides on the side of mount everest
- 0:15the next day his crew released a
- 0:17statement announcing his death
- 0:27little did they know that hall was very
- 0:29much alive but in dire circumstances
- 0:32he was suffering from altitude sickness
- 0:34which had caused him to become
- 0:36disoriented he was left alone on the
- 0:38mountain with with no hat gloves or
- 0:41oxygen bottles
- 0:42a day later daniel mazur and his
- 0:44climbing group came across hall
- 0:47mazer who was just two hours away from
- 0:49the peak abandoned his everest quest and
- 0:51left his party to carry hall down to the
- 0:54camp at the base of the mountain which
- 0:55was a four-hour trip just days before
- 0:59another climber david sharp died 304
- 1:02meters from the summit when dozens of
- 1:04people passed him by because they didn't
- 1:06want to risk their own everest glory you
