0:01might be the busiest day of the year but
0:03we're here to show you that no matter
0:05how crazy this part gets you can still
0:08manage to get all the things you want to
0:10get done using lightning Lane multipass
0:12as long as you have the right strategy
0:15let's go do

0:21it hi ho everybody this is Rob with ear
0:24Scouts coming to you from the Magic
0:25Kingdom on the Saturday after Christmas
0:28so we are right between Christmas and
0:30New Year's and that makes this pretty
0:33much the peak season for Walt Disney
0:36World I wanted to make this video today
0:38because I wanted you to see that even
0:40when this park is as busy as it gets
0:43you're still going to be able to get the
0:46rides that are most important to you
0:48using lightning Lane multipass in fact
0:50for us today our goal is going to be to
0:52ride every single ride that has a
0:55lightning Lane multipass available
1:04now my first tip for using lightning
1:06Lane multipass is on a day like today
1:09sometimes it makes sense to not use
1:11lightning Lane multipass now what I mean
1:13by that is if you're here right when the
1:15park opens what's referred to as rope
1:18drop you'll find really short weights
1:20even at the most popular attractions the
1:23good news is is that one of the most
1:25popular lightning Lanes in this park is
1:28Jungle Cruise right now it's dressed up
1:29as as the jingle cruise we can get in
1:32this line right now with a posted
1:3415minute wait and that means that one of
1:36the most difficult to grab lightning
1:38Lanes we don't even need to worry about
1:40trying to grab cuz we're already going
1:42to have ridden the
1:49ride if you're staying at one of those
1:51qualifying resort hotels that has access
1:54to early entry you'd probably want to
1:56start over on the other side of the park
1:59some attractions you might want to
2:00consider getting crossed off your list
2:02would be seven dwarf's Mine Train which
2:04actually isn't even available with
2:07lightning Lane multipass you might also
2:09want to consider Peter Pan's flight
2:11that's another one of the most popular
2:13lightning Lanes in this park Tron light
2:16cycle run is another one of those rides
2:17that doesn't have lightning Lane
2:19multipass but unfortunately as of the
2:21making of this video it is not open
2:23during early entry that said folks
2:26sometimes like to use that early entry
2:27time to go ahead and jump in that line
2:30and get ahead of the crowd but if you
2:32don't have early entry which we don't
2:34today you definitely don't want to start
2:36your day over there cuz all those folks
2:38are already going to be in those lines
2:40when the park opens you're much better
2:42off starting on this side of the park
2:44with a ride like Jungle Cruise or maybe
2:46even Haunted Mansion right now Tiana's
2:49Bayou Adventure which is the biggest
2:51ride on this side of the park is still
2:53using a virtual queue so you can't just
2:56get into that line the good news is
2:59though you can still book it with
3:00lightning Lane multi pass and that's
3:02exactly what we're going to do for that
3:04one but for right now let's hop aboard
3:06the jungle cruise and chingle all the
3:08way through our first ride of the day
3:10woo but welcome everyone to the world
3:13famous jingle
3:15Cruise no don't be alarmed it's just my
3:18extended family members in
3:21town look what I did to my
3:24car they painted in blue
3:31[Music]
3:38so glad we got that done when we did cuz
3:41as we were coming off of the Jungle
3:42Cruise there was a massive line already
3:45if you get here right when the park
3:47opens or even better when early entry
3:49starts if you have access to early entry
3:51you can get at least one really big
3:54ticket ATT traction done the other
3:56reason you want to be here early though
3:58is so that you can start using your
4:00lightning lanes that you have pre-booked
4:02with lightning Lane unlike with Genie
4:05you can actually pre-book attractions
4:07now so you can have three lightning
4:09Lanes booked before you even get here to
4:11the park if you're staying at a
4:13qualifying Disney Resort hotel we'll
4:15throw the list up on the screen right
4:16now if you're at any of these Resorts
4:19you can actually book those initial
4:21three attractions starting at 7:00 a.m.
4:247 days before your hotel check-in day if
4:27you're not staying at one of those
4:28resorts you can start booking 3 days
4:31before your Park visit or if you have a
4:34multi-day park ticket you can start
4:36booking all of your Park days 3 days out
4:39from your first day that you're eligible
4:41to enter the parks with this new system
4:44not all rides are the same Disney has
4:46grouped the rides into two different
4:48tiers here at Magic Kingdom so there are
4:51tier one attractions from that group you
4:54can only choose one attraction when
4:56you're pre-booking you can book as many
4:59as you want from that second group but
5:01you are limited to just one tier one
5:03attraction don't worry though as soon as
5:06you tap in at any attraction here at the
5:08park it can be tier one or tier 2 that
5:11unlocks your ability to book multiple
5:13tier one attractions at the same time
5:16that's why it's important to get here
5:18early and to have an early lightning
5:21Lane as soon as you tap into that first
5:23lightning Lane it's going to give you
5:25access to book another tier one
5:27attraction and you really do want to get
5:29that as quickly as possible because as
5:31more people tap in and start grabbing
5:34those tier one lightning Lanes they're
5:36going to become harder and harder to get
5:38but it's not just the tier one
5:39attractions that are hard to get in this
5:41park there's also some tier 2
5:43attractions that you want to get quickly
5:45cuz they run out of lightning Lanes fast
5:47as well let's start by going through the
5:49different rides of this park and I'm
5:50going to share with you the ones you
5:51should try to book first I like to think
5:54of lightning Lane multipass as having a
5:56hand of cards you have three cards in
5:59your hand at all times whenever you play
6:01one of those cards you're free to draw
6:03another one the way you want to play
6:05that game however is you want to always
6:07have the best cards possible in your
6:10hand because those valuable cards become
6:13really hard to get later in the day now
6:16the cards that are going to matter most
6:18to you are obviously the attractions
6:20that matter most to you in your group
6:22having said that if there are some of
6:24these key attractions I'm about to
6:26mention in that Musto list for you you
6:29definitely want to get those cards in
6:30your hand as quickly as possible the Ace
6:32in the deck here is Tiana's Bayou
6:35Adventure this is one of the most
6:37difficult lightning Lanes to grab in all
6:39of the parks it does get to be a little
6:41bit easier to grab in the winter months
6:43when it's cold because folks don't want
6:45to do a water ride when it's chilly but
6:47today is actually an unseasonably warm
6:50day so that one was a difficult grab for
6:53us but we were able to grab it after
6:55that Ace you're going to find two kings
6:57in this deck here at Magic Kingdom
6:59there's Peter Pan's flight over in
7:01fantasy land and here in Adventure Land
7:04is Jungle Cruise now thankfully we've
7:07already cross Jungle Cruise off the list
7:09so we don't even have to worry about
7:10trying to grab that particular King but
7:12we are going to want to try to get Peter
7:14Pan's flight as quickly as we can the
7:17queen in the deck used to be Big Thunder
7:19Mountain unfortunately by the time this
7:21video comes out that attraction is going
7:23to be closed for a really extended
7:26refurbishment it's not going to reopen
7:28until sometime in 202 6 so for right now
7:31that card is out of the deck we will
7:33definitely remake this video when it
7:35reopens but for right now Big Thunder
7:37Mountain Railroad is off the tracks
7:39moving into its place is actually a tier
7:422 attraction Haunted Mansion because it
7:45is one of the most popular tier 2s that
7:48one tends to get snapped up really fast
7:51usually people pre-book that one another
7:54one that they pre-book is Pirates of the
7:56Caribbean that's another really popular
7:58tier 2 attraction so that's going to be
8:00the Jack in the deck so surprisingly
8:03here at Magic Kingdom two of our face
8:06cards are actually tier 2 attractions
8:09now for us when we came into the park
8:11this is what our hand looked like this
8:13is what we had pre-booked and I got to
8:15say it was a pretty sweet hand the
8:18secret to getting a really nice hand
8:20like the one we have right now is to
8:23modify your selections after you
8:25initially book so when you make those
8:28first three selections if you're a hotel
8:30guest you might get some really great
8:32rides at really great times but you'll
8:34find that usually even the best times
8:37can get a little bit better if you play
8:39with it before you come to visit for us
8:41we were able to move all these times up
8:43between last night and this morning all
8:45you got to do to modify once you've got
8:47those initial selections booked is go to
8:49the main menu tap on that lightning
8:51Lanes button and you're going to see all
8:53of your lightning Lanes there you can
8:54tap on any one of them a menu pops up
8:57and you just choose modify from that men
8:59menu that's going to let you either
9:01select a new time for the current
9:03attraction that you have or you could
9:04scroll down and select a different
9:06attraction from the list whenever you
9:08got some downtime maybe you're on a bus
9:10from the airport to your Resort hotel
9:13that's a great time to just go ahead
9:15open up the app and see if you can back
9:17up the times for your different
9:18lightning Lanes so as you can see we
9:20have the ace already in our hand and we
9:23have a queen but then there's that other
9:25ride that maybe seems a little odd to
9:27you why did we want to have magic
9:29carpets of Aladdin this is what a lot of
9:31folks call a burner attraction
9:34essentially this is a ride that we
9:35wanted to get booked as quickly as
9:37possible as soon as we were going to
9:39enter the park so that we could tap in
9:41at that ride and free us up to book more
9:44tier one attractions magic carpets of
9:47Aladdin was perfect because I knew my
9:49goal was going to be to start right here
9:52at jingle cruise and magic carpets of
9:54Aladdin is right there when you're
9:56getting off so that means that right now
9:58we need to head straight over over to
9:59magic carpets of Aladdin so that we can
10:02tap into that attraction that's going to
10:04free us up to book another one and most
10:06importantly it's going to free us up to
10:08be able to book more tier one
10:10attractions so let's make a be line to
10:12agrava and hop on a Magic Carpet Ride

10:29as soon as I tapped in over there at
10:31magic carpets of Aladdin that freed me
10:34up to book another lightning Lane I went
10:36ahead and just grab Peter Pan's flight
10:39cuz I wanted to secure that one and not
10:41have to worry about that running out of
10:43lightning Lanes later today we don't
10:45have the best time but we'll probably be
10:47able to back that time up I'm going to
10:49share with you in this video lots of
10:51tips and strategies to help you back up
10:53your lightning Lane times because that's
10:56really key the sooner you can tap into
10:58that attraction and free up that slot in
11:01your hand the more cards you can get in
11:03your hand throughout the day and on that
11:05note we need to play our next card it is
11:07already time for us to tap in over here
11:10at Tiana's by You Adventure this is my
11:13favorite ride in Magic Kingdom right now
11:15I'm so excited that we were able to grab
11:17this really early return time today even
11:20if you're not able to get an early time
11:22though you definitely want to get Tiana
11:24in your hand during that pre-booking
11:27period if at all possible it does get
11:30really difficult to grab this attraction
11:32during a busy Park day and you will
11:34spend a lot of time on your phone trying
11:37to get it if you don't already have it
11:39in your hand so let's head over to the
11:41salt mines and see if we can help Tiana
11:43and Lewis round up some musicians for
11:45their big party
11:55tonight hello any musicians down here
11:58who want to
12:13now get you to the party you get there
12:16in new

12:31that is such a beautiful ride I love
12:34sitting in the front row cuz you get the
12:35best view of everything unfortunately it
12:38also means you're probably going to get
12:39the most wet so if you want that front
12:42row you can ask and if it's not too
12:44crazy they'll usually let you get in
12:47that front row seat you definitely
12:49though want to wear some sort of water
12:52protection unless you just want to be
12:54soaked for the rest of the day but even
12:56though I got a little bit wet I am
12:58feeling really great about this day
13:00because as soon as we tapped in there I
13:03booked our next lightning Lane for
13:05Pirates of the Caribbean and look at
13:08that we have now either ridden or booked
13:12all of the face cards here at Magic
13:15Kingdom and it's just after 9:00 I mean
13:18this park has been open for just a
13:20little over an hour and we are in really
13:24great shape especially for a crazy day
13:27like today we got a little bit of time
13:29before we need to go tap in over at
13:30Haunted Mansion so this is the perfect
13:32moment for me to share with you some
13:34tips for how to back up those lightning
13:36Lanes so that you can ride those rides
13:38sooner and book more rides in your day I
13:41call the method that I like to use
13:42playing the Disney slots and the reason
13:45I call it that is because if you think
13:47of using this lightning Lane Service as
13:50a tool to book rides you're going to
13:53find it to be very frustrating it is
13:55very hard to grab the time that you're
13:58looking for but if you change your way
14:00of thinking about it don't think of this
14:02as a tool instead think of this as a
14:05game think of it as a slot machine game
14:08on your phone and when you play the slot
14:11machine game you have a chance to win a
14:14really quick return time for one of your
14:17favorite rides here at Magic Kingdom
14:19before we play those slots though we're
14:21going to go ahead and set everything up
14:22to give us the best chance possible of
14:25winning and that is going to mean using
14:27the Disney Genie service now Disney
14:30Genie plus is gone but Disney Genie is
14:32still here just head over to the main
14:34menu scroll down a little ways and you
14:36will see that little Genie icon there by
14:39today's plans tap on that and then
14:42you'll see a button to get started
14:44you're going to go ahead and tap get
14:46started again it's going to ask you what
14:48day it is what park you're going to
14:51choose those things and then it's going
14:53to ask you who's going with you to the
14:55parks finally it's going to ask you what
14:57attractions you're most interested
14:59interested in this is the important step
15:02what you're going to do here is you're
15:03going to choose the attractions that
15:05you're wanting to book or move the times
15:07up for next this is going to pin these
15:10attractions to the top of your view when
15:13you're modifying lightning lanes and
15:14it's going to make it much easier to
15:16find better times and tap in and grab
15:19them so for us we're focused right now
15:21on backing up Peter Pans flight and
15:23Pirates of the Caribbean now to start
15:26modifying we could do it just like we
15:28did before or we could go to that
15:30lightning Lane menu and tap on one of
15:33those lightning lanes and choose modify
15:35however I want to show you a different
15:37way because if you start booking
15:40lightning lanes for other Parks you'll
15:42find that those lightning Lanes don't
15:44show up in this view so to make sure
15:47you're able to see all of your lightning
15:48lanes for the day I'm going to show you
15:49the other way of doing it we're going to
15:51use the old tip board which is left over
15:54from the Disney Genie plus days so just
15:57head back to that Main menu and tap on
16:00wait times and show times this is what's
16:04called your tipboard view scroll down
16:07and find the ride that you want to
16:09modify you're going to see three little
16:12dots there tap on those three little
16:13dots a menu pops up you're going to
16:15choose modify and then on this screen
16:18you're going to see a slightly modified
16:21tip board at the top you'll see the ride
16:23that you currently have booked along
16:25with the time you have it booked for
16:27below that is the time you could book it
16:28for for right now and then if you were
16:30to scroll down further you would see all
16:33the different attractions you could
16:34choose to book instead you should also
16:37note that your attractions that you
16:38pinned should be pinned there to the top
16:41as well now if we're not happy with any
16:43of the times or rides that we see here
16:46we can take our finger slide it down the
16:48screen and spin the reels on that Disney
16:51slot machine what this is actually doing
16:53is refreshing it's going back to see
16:56what are the best times available at
16:59this particular moment and a lot of
17:02times when you do this you'll find that
17:04the times do in fact get better for some
17:06of the attractions you're aiming for of
17:09course much like a real slot machine you
17:11don't always win sometimes those times
17:13get worse and sometimes they stay
17:16exactly the same in fact that's the most
17:18common thing to happen with any luck
17:20you'll find the perfect time and you'll
17:22be able to tap in and grab it but I
17:24should warn you there are lots of other
17:26people playing this game at the same
17:28time and if one of those people TAPS in
17:31faster than you then they're going to
17:33get that time and you're going to get
17:34offered something else instead we do
17:37have some tricks up Our Sleeve to help
17:39you win that coveted time slot and we're
17:41going to share those with you but first
17:42we got to go get tapped in for our next
17:44ride over at Haunted Mansion so we can
17:47keep booking those lightning Lanes let's
17:49go do
17:54it what a beautiful day we are having
17:57here at the Magic Kingdom and the crowds
17:59are definitely here now it is feeling
18:02pretty packed already as you're going
18:04through the park on a beautiful day like
18:06today though you don't want to spend the
18:08whole day staring at your phone screen
18:10you want to be enjoying the park around
18:12you so I don't recommend playing the
18:15slots while you're enjoying your Park
18:17time there's going to be plenty of
18:19downtime in your day things like waiting
18:21in standby quees or waiting to get
18:24seated at your table service restaurant
18:26or waiting for your mobile food order
18:28pick up there's going to be plenty of
18:30built-in downtime during your Disney day
18:33and those are the ideal moments to play
18:35those Disney slots so let's enjoy this
18:38glorious day head on over to Haunted
18:40Mansion and then we'll worry about
18:42booking what comes
18:49next just a little bit of a backup in
18:51the line here at Haunted Mansion and
18:54that's actually going to work out to our
18:56advantage cuz it's going to give us a
18:57chance to play those slots and try to
19:00book our next lightning Lane I'm just
19:02going to continue going down our deck
19:04right now because the next card that
19:06would come up would be Winnie the Pooh
19:08and Winnie the Pooh is over there in
19:10fantasy land my hope is that we're going
19:12to be able to get Peter Pan backed up
19:15and spend this next little bit over in
19:17fantasy land so that works out perfectly
19:19generally speaking though once you get
19:21those face cards out of the way you want
19:23to start clumping your lightning Lanes
19:25together so you don't have to do a whole
19:27lot of crisscrossing of the park you
19:29can't always do that but that is one of
19:32the benefits of this service versus the
19:35old Genie with the old Genie you could
19:37only book one lightning Lane at a time
19:39and that did make it difficult to kind
19:41of plan out ahead of your next ride but
19:43now that you have three it does give you
19:45the chance to kind of tailor those rides
19:48and get them close together so you don't
19:50do as much crisscrossing

20:33can we just talk for a moment about what
20:35an incredible attraction that is that is
20:37an opening day attraction here at Magic
20:40Kingdom that goes back to
20:431971 now they have made some
20:45enhancements most recently they added
20:47the hatbox ghost but a lot of the
20:50coolest effects people's favorite parts
20:53of that ride were original to that
20:55attraction back in 1971 so right now the
20:58next attraction we have booked with a
21:00lightning Lane is Winnie the Pooh so
21:02we're going to continue on into fantasy
21:04land it's not quite time to ride yet
21:07though so we're going to find a
21:09comfortable place to relax for a little
21:11bit and I'm going to share with you some
21:13of those tips for getting those hard to
21:15grab return times I think the most
21:18challenging part is actually going to be
21:20finding that quiet place to sit cuz man
21:23this park is crazy right now I think for
21:26today the castle turrets are going to
21:28have to qual qualify as a quiet spot but
21:30this is not too bad I feel like this is
21:32a good spot to relax for a moment and
21:34share with you my best trick for getting
21:37those tough tobook times so let's take a
21:39look at what happens when we tap in and
21:41we don't get the time that we're aiming
21:43for there's a little note there that's
21:45letting us know that it's offering us a
21:47different time cuz that time was no
21:49longer available but guess what this
21:53works in both
21:55directions sometimes the time that will
21:57appear here is actually better than the
22:00time that you tapped in on it's not
22:02always worse so what we're going to do
22:04we're going to tap back out it's going
22:06to say are you sure are you sure you
22:07want to go back cuz it is true when we
22:09go back we will lose this time that
22:11we're seeing here but we don't really
22:13want it anyway so we're fine with that
22:16we're going to tap back out and then
22:18we're going to tap in again and we're
22:20going to repeat this process until we
22:23see a time there that we're happy with
22:26the reason we're doing it this way is
22:28because we're eliminating the step of
22:31having to tap in quickly if we see the
22:33time we like here that was the tap
22:36you've already done it and you've
22:37already got that time secured so this is
22:41a great way when you're aiming for one
22:43attraction in particular and you're just
22:45trying to back that time up to get the
22:48best possible time with the least amount
22:50of fuss the downside to this method
22:53though is we're only focusing on this
22:55one ride there might be other great
22:58times of appearing for those other
22:59attractions that we have pinned to our
23:01tipboard view but we're not going to see
23:04those great times cuz we're just going
23:06back in and out of this one I recommend
23:09use both of these different methods the
23:11slide to refresh and the tap in tap out
23:14depending on what your goals are if your
23:17goal is just to back something up and
23:19you don't really care which one it is
23:21then you'll definitely want to use that
23:22slide to refresh cuz it's going to give
23:25you more options but if you're really
23:27laser focused on that one ride the tap
23:30in tap out method is better cuz you're
23:32more likely to get the time you're
23:34aiming for so we're going to take a
23:35minute play the slots and try to get one
23:38of these rides that we've got booked
23:39backed up a little bit so we can go ride
23:41something right now w w w so I have some
23:46good news and I have some bad news the
23:48good news is we were able to back Winnie
23:50the Pooh way up we had a great return
23:53time for it but just as we are about to
23:55go tap in over there we got the
23:57notification that we were having a
23:59change made to our itinerary which is
24:02Disney speak for the ride that you have
24:04booked is currently down so instead
24:07they're offering us what's called an
24:09experience Redemption it's what I call a
24:11bonus lightning Lane the good news is
24:14this frees us up to go ahead and book
24:16another attraction right away the bad
24:19news is we can't go ride Winnie the Pooh
24:21right now but even though we can't ride
24:23Winnie the Pooh we can tap on that
24:25experience Redemption and it's going to
24:27show us a list of attra ractions that we
24:29could choose to ride instead all we have
24:32to do is go up to one of those rides tap
24:35in just like we had a lightning Lane and
24:37even though we don't that experience
24:39Redemption will kick in and let us ride
24:42now I'm not going to do that because
24:44right now the best available ride we can
24:47use it on is Winnie the Pooh so we'll
24:49just wait for Winnie the Pooh to come
24:51back online and instead we'll go ahead
24:53and book something else I'm going to go
24:55ahead and aim for Space Mountain because
24:57that is the last of the attractions that
24:59I'm even remotely worried about you
25:01might be surprised that Space Mountain
25:03is so low on this list I got to be
25:05honest I have been surprised myself but
25:08I have been finding Space Mountain
25:09relatively easy to book even later in
25:12the day and I think the reason for that
25:14is because it's pretty much the least
25:17popular of the tier one attractions so
25:19remember folks are limited until they
25:22tap in somewhere to only one tier one
25:25which means that the less popular tier
25:27ones don't don't get booked as often as
25:29they did with the old Genie system this
25:32may of course change once Big Thunder
25:35Mountain closes because that's going to
25:37mean one of the big thrill rides is down
25:39and we may find that that adds more
25:41demand for Space Mountain but as of
25:43right now Space Mountain has been
25:46relatively easy to book right now we
25:48actually have a little bit of downtime
25:50because our next booked attraction isn't
25:52until around 11:35 that's Pirates so we
25:55got nothing to do right now other than
25:57enjoy this Park I am actually feeling a
25:59little bit peckish so I'm going to go
26:01grab a bite to eat and while I'm doing
26:03that I might play those slots a little
26:05bit and back some of those times up
26:07let's go do
26:09it we popped over here to frier Nook for
26:12some Magic Kingdom Quick Service brunch
26:15got some tater tots with bacon and ranch
26:19dressing and onions and cheese truly The
26:23Breakfast of Champions not going to lie
26:26it's pretty good while I was in line for
26:28the I noticed two of the other
26:29attractions we had booked were also
26:31currently down so winning the Pooh is
26:33back up right now but Pirates of the
26:35Caribbean and Space Mountain are both
26:37down seems Magic Kingdom is having a
26:40rough morning today but it does give me
26:43a chance to talk a little bit more about
26:45experience redemptions because these can
26:47be an important part of your strategy
26:49when you get them now with every
26:52experience Redemption you'll see a
26:53different list of attractions the list
26:56of attractions is based on essenti the
26:58popularity of the attraction that you
27:01got it for so let's say we got the
27:02experience Redemption for Jungle Cruise
27:06if it was Jungle Cruise then it would
27:08probably include all of the multipass
27:11attractions in that list and we could
27:13ride any of them but we probably
27:15wouldn't want to ride something like
27:17Dumbo with that because it's much easier
27:20to book Dumbo than it is to rebook
27:23Jungle Cruise another thing it's
27:24important to know about those experience
27:26redemptions it does allow you to reide
27:30an attraction that you've already ridden
27:32using a lightning Lane normally you can
27:35only ride each attraction once using
27:38lightning Lane but if you haven't
27:40experienced Redemption and you've
27:42already ridden something you can then
27:45ride it twice well I'm going to finish
27:47enjoying my magical Magic Kingdom brunch
27:49but after I do I'm going to meet you
27:51guys over at The Many Adventures of win
27:53the Pooh now that that rides back up we
27:55can take a spin through the 100 Acre
27:57Wood

28:30such an adorable ride if you're a big
28:33fan of Winnie the Pooh which I am you
28:35definitely want to check out our Tokyo
28:36Disneyland video because the wiy the Poo
28:39ride there is just mindblowing also
28:43while we were on that ride we got
28:44another experience Redemption because
28:46our lightning Lane for Pirates of the
28:49Caribbean came up and the ride was still
28:52down the good news is though that means
28:54that we can book another lightning Lane
28:56in its place and of course we can go
28:59ride Pirates whenever it comes back
29:00online we don't have to worry about that
29:02specific time slot anymore now that it's
29:05time to book another lightning Lane
29:06though I want to show you another tip
29:08that's important to know when you're
29:09trying to grab a difficult to book time
29:12we're going to go ahead and grab Buzz
29:14Lightyear Space Ranger Spin the first
29:17thing we're going to do is we're going
29:18to edit our selections to remove the
29:21rides that we've already booked and add
29:23in the rides that we want to focus on
29:25now so while you're on that tipboard
29:27screen just tap on edit selections and
29:29then you're going to see a menu That's
29:31sort of like the one that you saw when
29:32you set everything up just uncheck the
29:34rides you're not focused on anymore and
29:36check the ones you want instead I do
29:38recommend never check more than two or
29:40three rides just cuz if you got to
29:41scroll through a bunch of rides it kind
29:43of defeats the purpose of pinning them
29:46now that we've edited our selections I
29:47want to show you another really
29:49important tip when you're aiming for a
29:51difficult to grab time slot and that is
29:54that you don't want to play the slots
29:56until you've booked the ride initially
29:59what I mean by that is this let's let's
30:01go ahead and book buzzl light year Space
30:04Ranger Spin that's the next ride we want
30:06to book now notice when we book this
30:08ride for the first time it's going to
30:10ask us who's in our party this time that
30:14we're going to take telling it that I'm
30:16in the party and if we had other people
30:17we need to add to the party that is time
30:20where someone else could run in and grab
30:23that lightning Lane before we could get
30:24it what you want to do instead do this
30:28step tell it who's in the party book the
30:29lightning lane and then modify that
30:33lightning Lane because see what happens
30:35is when we modify it just defaults to
30:38whatever the party is that's attached to
30:40the lightning Lane we're modifying that
30:42allows us to skip this step and it makes
30:45it more likely that if we see a time we
30:47really want we'll be able to tap in and
30:49grab it before someone else as I was
30:51booking Buzz I did notice all of those
30:54face cards that we've already booked
30:57have really really late return times
30:59right now this is why it's so key to try
31:02to get those rides booked as quickly as
31:04you can cuz you can tell right now rides
31:07like jungle cruise and Peter Pan's
31:09flight even Haunted Mansion and Pirates
31:12they're showing return times way into
31:14the night and it would be very difficult
31:17for us at this point to back those times
31:19up we'd spend a lot of time playing the
31:22slots now if I'm being totally honest we
31:24have definitely been really lucky in
31:26today's video we've managed to get a lot
31:29of typically difficult to book rides for
31:31great return times that said a lot of
31:34the reason that we've been so lucky is
31:36because we've been using the right
31:38strategy we've been aiming for those
31:40rides before other folks have had a
31:42chance to tap in and start booking their
31:45second and third lightning Lanes of the
31:47day I do think it's important to note
31:49however that we are a party of one today
31:52I am just booking for myself if you're a
31:55party of five or more you're definitely
31:57going to have a harder time especially
31:59booking those key rodes like the face
32:02cards those are really hard to get when
32:05you're a party of five or larger in my
32:07experience however if you're a group of
32:09four or less it's going to be pretty
32:11much like it is in this video I have not
32:13found a big difference in ride
32:15availability for parties of 1 through
32:18four we are definitely at that midday
32:20period where the park is as busy as it's
32:23going to get this can be a great time to
32:25go do a show or maybe meet some
32:28characters that have shorter weights but
32:30I did notice in the app that there's
32:31only a posted 20 minute weight right now
32:34for one of my favorite rides that's next
32:35door in Tomorrowland let's go ride the
32:38Tomorrowland Transit Authority people
32:41[Music]
32:54mover I totally forgot until we were
32:57going through Space Mountain that
32:58they're actually doing Space Mountain
33:00holiday run right now that's a special
33:03Christmas themed overlay that they do
33:05normally only at the Christmas party but
33:07when you're here at Magic Kingdom in
33:09this time right around Christmas like
33:11Christmas Eve through New Year's they do
33:14a lot of those special party only things
33:17all day long I did try to back up the
33:19times on our lightning lanes and I am
33:21not having any luck I got them backed up
33:23just a little bit but I'll show you on
33:25the screen right now what our current
33:27hand looks like now we could go over and
33:29ride Pirates of the Caribbean cuz that
33:31has reopened and we do have that
33:33experience Redemption but I don't want
33:35to do that cuz I don't want to cross all
33:37the way over there and come all the way
33:39back instead I think I want to go do a
33:42character meet and greet I noticed that
33:45over here next door in storybook circus
33:47Donald is doing a meet and greet and
33:49he's only got a wait time of about 20
33:52minutes which is not bad now you might
33:54be wondering why we didn't just book a
33:55lightning Lane to meet a character
33:57that's because since it changed over
33:59from Genie to lightning Lane they no
34:01longer offer characters as an option at
34:04first it seemed like maybe they were
34:06going to bring that back at some point
34:08but I've talked to lots of cast members
34:09who say they don't think it's coming
34:11back so if you do want to add a
34:12character meet and greet to your day
34:14just keep your eyes peeled for a short
34:15weight or splurge on one of those
34:18character dining experiences but since
34:20we're not doing any character dining
34:21today and since I am wearing Donald Duck
34:24from head to toe basically today I feel
34:26like we got to go meet meet Donald and
34:28wish him a happy 90th birthday let's go
34:31do
34:40it happy 90th birthday my friend you
34:44look amazing for
34:46[Music]
34:4890 awesome good to see you number one
34:51and happy 90th what happened there you
34:54were riding the motorcycle yeah yeah
34:59you're oh no so your ears blinded you oh
35:04no goofy why does this stuff always
35:06happen to you my friend that was so much
35:09fun and really a pretty short weight
35:11especially for a day like today I was
35:13shocked that we caught that with such a
35:15low weight time if you look at the
35:17weight times around this park right now
35:20almost all of the major attractions are
35:22over an hour if not an hour and a half M
35:25Train is over 90 minutes Space Mountain
35:28over 90 minutes Tron over 90 minutes so
35:32to get to meet uh one of my favorite
35:34characters in less than 20 minutes that
35:36was pretty sweet plus I got to meet
35:38Goofy too it is almost time for us to
35:41tap in over at Peter Pan's flight and
35:43after that we're going to have a lull of
35:45about an hour before our next lightning
35:48Lane however there are a ton of rides
35:52here in fantasy land that you can often
35:54get a lightning Lane for right away
35:57without playing the slots for too long
35:59so we're going to go ride Peter Pan and
36:02then we're going to see how many of
36:03these Fantasy Land rides we can knock
36:06out before it's time to get on Buzz
36:08let's go do it

36:33as I'm recording this it has been 30
36:36minutes since I got off of Peter Pan's
36:38flight and I was only now able to book
36:42our next lightning Lane of the day I was
36:46trying to get anything anything here in
36:48fantasy land we're talking rides like
36:51mad tea party it's a small world Dumbo
36:55these are attractions that any normal
36:58day you should be able to book
37:00immediately so this this portion of the
37:03video is not something you should expect
37:06to experience unless you're here on a
37:08day like today it's cutting so bad I
37:10decided I needed to call in
37:12reinforcements so Eric is now here to
37:14help us continue to book these lightning
37:16lanes and that brings me to a really big
37:19tip which is that you can share this
37:22responsibility there's no reason that
37:25only one person has to book all the
37:27lightning lanes for your group for the
37:28day there are some things that are
37:30helpful to know though if you're going
37:32to go that route number one if you're
37:35going to use the same account on
37:37multiple devices to book those lightning
37:39Lanes it's important that you don't have
37:43multiple people doing that at the same
37:45time when you're using the same account
37:47simultaneously it will cause errors to
37:50pop up and you can miss out on great
37:52return times because you got an error
37:54instead the better way to do it is for
37:56each person to use their own account as
37:59long as you're all linked together and
38:00able to book lightning lanes for each
38:02other you should be able to play the
38:05slots for the group at the same time so
38:08for the rest of this video we are going
38:09to make lightning Lane a team sport and
38:11I have a feeling Eric is going to turn
38:13out to be the MVP of this video as he
38:16often is the ride that we were able to
38:18book for right now is Dumbo it took us
38:2230 minutes to book Dumbo could I have
38:25waited in line and ridden Dumbo in that
38:28amount of time yes my friends yes I
38:31could but for right now let's take
38:33flight with the world famous flying
38:35elephant Dumbo
38:40[Music]
39:15we definitely had a little bit of a
39:16rough start with fantasy land but once
39:19we got going we were actually able to
39:21book those lightning Lanes back to back
39:24like I expected us to be able to do from
39:26the beginning right now now we are about
39:285 minutes late for our return time for
39:31Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin while
39:34technically the lightning Lan did expire
39:365 minutes ago you do have a 20-minute
39:38grace period on the tail end and in most
39:42cases they will give you significantly
39:44more than 20 minutes on the end you also
39:46have a 5minute grace period on the front
39:49of that lightning Lane window so you can
39:51always rrive 5 minutes early and 20 or
39:55sometimes more minutes late I wanted to
39:57wait to come until the tail end of this
39:59lightning Lane window though because
40:01right now we're going to be able to ride
40:03buzz and as soon as we get off we're
40:05going to be able to go right over and
40:06ride Space Mountain that'll leave only
40:09one attraction left here in Tomorrowland
40:11and it's actually one that I kind of
40:13want to do later tonight anyway tomorrow
40:15land Speedway gets lit up for the
40:17holidays this time of year and it's just
40:20a lot prettier after dark in addition to
40:22Speedway we do have two rides left to
40:24book in fantasy land we've got under the
40:26sea journey of The Little Mermaid and
40:29we've got the barn Stormer but after
40:31that my friends we will have booked
40:33every single ride in this park with a
40:36lightning Lane multi pass available
40:38while we weren't planning on doing Big
40:40Thunder at this rate I think we might
40:41just throw it in as a bonus for fun if
40:44we can make it on but let's not get
40:46ahead of ourselves let's complete the
40:48mission at hand which is to help Buzz a
40:51light year save the Galaxy from the evil
40:54emperor Zerg let's go do it game begin

41:36Space Mountain holiday run is so
41:39exhilarating man I was starting to feel
41:42a little exhausted a little worn down
41:44but that ride definitely perked me right
41:47back up I'm also feeling a little bit
41:49hungry and I think we have earned a
41:50break because we have now booked
41:53everything we planned on booking we've
41:55got Tomorrowland speed way the barn
41:58Stormer and Under the Sea journey of The
42:00Little Mermaid booked I'm not in love
42:02with the time slots that we have but I'm
42:05okay with that because we can still
42:07modify them if we'd like but right now I
42:09want to head over into Adventure Land
42:11and grab some dinner remember we still
42:13have Pirates of the Caribbean to ride
42:15over there we've got that bonus
42:17lightning Lane in our back pocket set
42:19aside for that so let's start with a
42:21little yum yum for dinner and then we
42:23will yo ho ho with Captain Jack at the
42:25gang at Pirates of the Caribbean
42:27let's go do
42:31it we are now on the walk up weight list
42:33for Skipper canteen whenever you want to
42:35do a table service meal but you don't
42:37have a reservation I always recommend
42:39check the walk up weight list
42:41availability sometimes you may find a
42:44great spot with a seat available Skipper
42:46canteen is actually my favorite sit down
42:48restaurant here in Magic Kingdom so
42:50looking forward to that meal but while
42:51we wait we can go ride Pirates of the
42:53Caribbean since we do have that bonus
42:55lightning Lane in our back pocket let's
42:57go do
43:07it now you scurby SC do I hear 10 AE for
43:13a
43:1410 keep still I'm studying me
43:23m while we're waiting to get called for
43:25our dining reservation this is the
43:27perfect time for us to kind of play with
43:29those lightning lanes and get those last
43:32times lined up just the way we want them
43:34but before we do that I want to show you
43:36something that I just did as soon as I
43:38got off of pirates let's look at the
43:41lightning lanes that we currently have
43:43booked you'll see there are now four
43:46lightning Lanes instead of three how is
43:49that possible when the limit is three
43:51well one of those lightning Lanes has
43:53expired now you remember how I told you
43:56that there's that grace period at the
43:58end to be honest cast members will
44:01usually let you use that lightning Lane
44:05as much as an hour to an hour and a half
44:07after the lightning Lane has expired it
44:10will typically still glow green having
44:13said that this is definitely a risk that
44:15we're doing right now there is a
44:16possibility that they will not let us
44:18use the lightning Lane for Tomorrowland
44:21Speedway because technically it is
44:23expired and we're not planning to go use
44:25it until after that 20 minute is up but
44:28I have a hunch this is still going to
44:30work and it allowed us to add in Big
44:33Thunder Mountain so we actually have
44:35that lined up for just a little bit from
44:37now we could go ride that probably
44:40before we even get called for dinner the
44:42line for Big Thunder Mountain is
44:44probably as big as I've ever seen it it
44:47is massive I'm really surprised that it
44:50was so easy for us to get a lightning
44:52Lane for this ride basically right now
44:54when it's been practically impossible to
44:57back up under the sea Journey The Little
44:59Mermaid or even The Barnstormer in story
45:03book circus but that's how it goes when
45:05you're here on a completely crazy day
45:07like today really unpredictable things
45:09are bound to happen let's go hop on
45:11board Big Thunder Mountain
45:18[Music]

46:07W man that was a blast pun intended I
46:12didn't think I was going to ride big
46:13thunder today cuz technically I didn't
46:15need to ride big Thunder for this video
46:17since it's going to be closed but I am
46:18so glad that I did ah love that ride so
46:22much and that's probably the last time
46:25I'm going to get to ride it for over a
46:26year but right now it's time to go grab
46:28some dinner and a glass of wine I can't
46:31tell you how excited I am about that
46:33right now and then we are going to burn
46:35through everything we have left in this
46:37park all the lightning lanes are booked
46:39I think this might be the perfect moment
46:41for one of those oldfashioned ear Scouts
46:44montages let's go do it

48:03the one responsible oh yeah so what am I
48:05getting not you was aski that

48:27what a wild crazy wonderful day we just
48:30had here at the Magic Kingdom we did
48:33every single attraction with lightning
48:36Lane multipass available including the
48:38two shows I wasn't even planning on
48:40doing shows in this video but we
48:41actually had time at the end of the
48:43night so I was like why not let's do the
48:44shows we got so much done today even
48:47though this was the busiest day I think
48:51I've ever experienced here at Magic
48:53Kingdom now the purpose of this video is
48:56not for you to replicate this craziness
48:58that we did today it's to show you
49:00what's possible you should do the things
49:03that matter most to you when you're here
49:04at the Magic Kingdom but I want you to
49:06see that if you use the right strategy
49:09if you start by getting those key
49:11lightning Lanes booked early in the day
49:13and then you use the different tips and
49:15tricks that we showed you to back up
49:17your return times you're going to be
49:19amazed at how much you can get done in
49:21this park especially when it's not as
49:24crazy as it was today for a lot of the
49:26attractions that we did today especially
49:28those shows we didn't really need to use
49:31lightning Lanes we could have pretty
49:33much walked into either of those shows
49:35or onto The Barnstormer at the end of
49:37the night but again the purpose of this
49:40was just to show you how much you really
49:42can do with this service if you put your
49:44mind to it I do have one final
49:47attraction I want to do tonight I'm
49:48going to head over and finish my night
49:50at Tron but I do want to thank you so
