- 0:38and i have been able to build together
- 0:40but what most people don't realize
- 0:42is that that's not the way it started
- 0:44lifebook literally
- 0:46came from my deepest pain uh the biggest
- 0:49challenge that we've ever had in our
- 0:51lives
- 0:52about 25 26 years ago i was struck by a
- 0:56severe anxiety disorder full-blown
- 0:59agoraphobia which basically i was house
- 1:02found for a couple months with the worst
- 1:05debilitating anxiety you can imagine i
- 1:08mean i i literally couldn't do anything
- 1:09i couldn't drive the car i couldn't go
- 1:11to a restaurant it was
- 1:13nuts
- 1:14and i i was going through such a
- 1:17difficult time missy didn't know what to
- 1:18do
- 1:19my dad was actually watching late night
- 1:22tv and he saw a couple
- 1:25uh infomercials one by tony robbins and
- 1:28and one by another personal development
- 1:30lady
- 1:30and he bought me two personal
- 1:33development programs that year because
- 1:34he thought it might help the horrendous
- 1:36pain i was going through
- 1:38and so that was tony robbins personal
- 1:40power too and a program called attacking
- 1:43anxiety by lucinda bassett which is a
- 1:45phenomenal program
- 1:47that was my very first introduction to
- 1:49personal development ever never never
- 1:51done anything like that before
- 1:53and i listened to those two programs and
- 1:55it helped tremendously i i felt like i
- 1:58got my feet on the ground a little bit
- 2:01and i kept the notes
- 2:03that i was taking during those programs
- 2:06in a little binder and
- 2:08like i would i would refer to those
- 2:10notes every single day i would have that
- 2:12binder with me everywhere i went because
- 2:15it would lessen my anxiety just to read
- 2:17those empowering notes from from those
- 2:20courses
- 2:21and so that year as i started to very
- 2:24very slowly wake make my way back from
- 2:27that difficult situation
- 2:29i continued to do personal development
- 2:31programs wayne dyer deepak chopra all
- 2:34the the old greats brian tracy you know
- 2:37the classics
- 2:38and i i just i just started consuming
- 2:41personal development content voraciously
- 2:44and i kept all my notes in this little
- 2:46binder it just kept growing and growing
- 2:49and growing
- 2:50that was the very first iteration of a
- 2:53life book ever
- 2:55over time i realized that i needed to
- 2:58categorize these notes like i had
- 3:00certain notes on my physical health i
- 3:02had certain notes in my love
- 3:03relationship certain notes on my
- 3:04emotional life that's really what i was
- 3:07dealing with this is just hardcore
- 3:10emotional issues that were causing me a
- 3:12lot of pain
- 3:13i had uh notes on my career and my
- 3:16financial life and i realized
- 3:18that there are
- 3:20specific areas of life
- 3:23that i'd have to master if i wanted to
- 3:25really have an extraordinary life that
- 3:27worked at a high level in every
- 3:28important area which i did i didn't just
- 3:31want to get out of pain i realized i saw
- 3:33a better vision for myself i saw a
- 3:36brighter future and i and i really
- 3:38wanted to make that happen
- 3:40so i started to categorize my personal
- 3:44development notes i had my love chapter
- 3:46i had my health chapter i had my money
- 3:48chapter i had my emotional my
- 3:50intellectual my parenting etc
- 3:53and over time that binder just kept
