2. 0:26started on this journey because of what
3. 0:27was happening to my family because of
4. 0:30the water the switch in the water my
5. 0:33water was coming through Brown for a
6. 0:36year it got so bad in December that it
7. 0:39was coming through my filters that we
8. 0:41were changing out every six days my
9. 0:43children were getting sick we were
10. 0:44having rashes we were losing our hair
11. 0:47and we didn't know what was going on the
12. 0:49city started coming in and started
13. 0:50testing at my home they did my first
14. 0:53blood test in February of 2015 and it
15. 0:57was at 104 EPA Max
16. 1:0015 they did my second test in March it
17. 1:03was at
18. 1:06397 at that point we were working to get
19. 1:09the service line replaced because we
20. 1:11were told that was the problem I wasn't
21. 1:13convinced that it was fully the problem
22. 1:15because we didn't have this problem when
23. 1:16we were on the trip Walker that filter
24. 1:19that I was talking about we changed
25. 1:20every six months not every 6
26. 1:24days once the surface line was replaced
27. 1:27I still have dispelled water it night
28. 1:30and dirt and it has PT I started
29. 1:33reaching out to everybody I could in the
30. 1:36EPA Miguel was the first person to
31. 1:39entertain the idea that this was bigger
32. 1:41than just my home I knew there was other
33. 1:43people in the city that having
34. 1:44discoloration so that helped reaching
35. 1:47out to the citizens and trying to get
36. 1:49everybody together that
37. 1:50helped we moved forward from there they
38. 1:53started taking samples the EA came out
39. 1:56um a few times and realized that there
40. 1:59was serious issue so we started working
41. 2:02with the attack Mar here did the let
42. 2:06copper or the lead issues that happened
43. 2:08in Washington DC in
44. 2:102009 and I got in contact with him and
45. 2:12they started sampling my water from the
46. 2:15sampling that Mark dead sented 30
47. 2:17samples my lowest number was 200 my
48. 2:20average was
49. 2:212500 and my highest was
50. 2:2513,200 as his waste is 5,000
51. 2:29so the EPA did an inter report Mel did
52. 2:33an inter report in June of 2015
53. 2:37outlining the issues outlining the
54. 2:39problems and one of the biggest problems
55. 2:42that we're having with this is the way
56. 2:43the state allows the letting copper
57. 2:45samples to take place
