1. 0:00there are three steps to mastering
2. 0:06anything in my youth I try to make
3. 0:09things as complex as possible so I could
4. 0:11prove to myself how smart I was which is
5. 0:13pretty stupid and what I found is the
6. 0:15years have gone by is that the more
7. 0:18complex you make it the less likely
8. 0:19people apply it it's much harder to
9. 0:22simplify something than to make it
10. 0:23really complex it looks and seems
11. 0:25sophisticated but no one does it so
12. 0:28write down complexity is the enemy of
13. 0:31execution complexity is the enemy of
14. 0:34execution if you and I are going to get
15. 0:37results and execute get the Real Results
16. 0:39we got to keep it really simple in most
17. 0:41people's brains go one two three many we
18. 0:46tend to get overwhelmed with too many
19. 0:47things so I try to keep it in three so
20. 0:49let me give you three and the three are
21. 0:52so that you can take your life to
22. 0:54another level in Mastery not dabbling
23. 0:57not stressing dabblers try something
24. 0:59they play a game they do a sport like
25. 1:01tennis in the beginning it grows really
26. 1:03fast and you have this incredible growth
27. 1:06and then what happens anybody know you
28. 1:08hit a what a plateau is it true and what
29. 1:12does a dabbler do someone has a
30. 1:13mentality of philosophy of dabbling they
31. 1:16go this is no longer fun it's always fun
32. 1:18in the beginning of a relationship CU
33. 1:20it's everything's new it's always fun in
34. 1:22a new business so many people have
35. 1:24multiple businesses that are all failing
36. 1:27right yeah they tell everybody they got
37. 1:28three businesses none of them are
38. 1:29profitable so if you and I are going to
39. 1:32really shift things if you want to
40. 1:34master anything what was the area of
41. 1:36your life that you said you needed to
42. 1:37master was it your body was it your
43. 1:40emotions was it relationships was it
44. 1:43time was it your career was it Finance
45. 1:48was it the spiritual side of life what
46. 1:50one was it for you the most powerful way
47. 1:52I know to speed up the process of
48. 1:54Mastery is three-fold here they are real
49. 1:56quick number one you must model someone
50. 1:59who is already getting the result that
51. 2:01you want if you want to take your life
52. 2:03to the next level the fastest the
53. 2:05fastest way I know is modeling you must
54. 2:08model someone who's getting the result
55. 2:10you want someone who's done it if you
56. 2:12learn from the best in the world you'll
57. 2:14have a very different experience than if
58. 2:16you learn for somebody who's really good
59. 2:18what's the problem with somebody who's
60. 2:19really
61. 2:20good and the best result you're probably
62. 2:22going to get is poor is it true and by
63. 2:26the way they do this full time so if
64. 2:29they're full-time and all they are as
65. 2:30good that's a clue you probably are
66. 2:32wasting your time success leaves what if
67. 2:37someone is successful consistently
68. 2:39they're not lucky they're doing
69. 2:42something different than you're doing
70. 2:43and as sin's thinking they're lucky or
71. 2:45they have some special skill even if
72. 2:47they have a skill you can learn the
73. 2:48skill but what you have to do is get the
74. 2:50right role model who's producing the
75. 2:52result let me give you an example what I
76. 2:54mean how many of you have had the
77. 2:57unbelievably humiliating experience
78. 3:01of playing a video game against the
79. 3:03child hey why does the child always win
80. 3:06is it because they're smarter is it
81. 3:07because they're faster cuz they're
82. 3:09younger quicker reflexes is that it
83. 3:12here's how it works by the way in case
84. 3:14you haven't happened to you you buy a
85. 3:16video game for a child you're an uncle
86. 3:19you're an aunt you're a grandpa your
87. 3:20grandma your father or mother for a
88. 3:22holiday or for a birthday and what
89. 3:25invariably happens is the child has a
90. 3:28plan and the child say says come play
91. 3:30with me Unk come play with the Auntie
92. 3:32come play with the grandpa come play
93. 3:34with me Mom and Dad come on you go no
94. 3:36this is for you I don't play those kinds
95. 3:38of games this is all for you they go
96. 3:40come on come on it's so easy let me show
97. 3:43see it's so
98. 3:45easy and so finally in a moment of
99. 3:48weakness you say fine you want to play
100. 3:50I'm going to play you but you should
101. 3:52know you're being set up when the child
102. 3:53says you go
103. 3:56first and so you go there and what do
104. 3:58you do you go June chune and you're dead
105. 4:01in 2.3 seconds and the child looks at
106. 4:03you with a little smirk and says not bad
107. 4:05for a beginner and the child
108. 4:10goes and about 45 minutes later you get
109. 4:13your second turn here's the question why
110. 4:17does the child always win is it because
111. 4:20of their skill their intelligence their
112. 4:23background their speed their flexibility
113. 4:25no they win because they played this
114. 4:28game before and as a result write this
115. 4:31down they know the road ahead and if
116. 4:34there's anything that's going to speed
117. 4:36up your ability to achieve whatever you
118. 4:38want it's learning the road
119. 4:40ahead and by the way that's been my
120. 4:43obsession from most of my adult life and
121. 4:45part of my young 16 17 18 year old life
122. 4:48even because knowing the road ahead
123. 4:50could be said another way you could say
124. 4:54that the ultimate power is
125. 4:57anticipation anticipation is the the
126. 4:59ultimate power it's the ultimate
127. 5:01advantage in business it's the advantage
128. 5:03in family it's the advantage in life the
129. 5:05ability anticipate cuz why does the
130. 5:07child win because you're reacting you've
131. 5:10not played this game you don't know
132. 5:11where it's coming from oh my God I'm
133. 5:13dead but the child has played so many
134. 5:15time so what does a child know they know
135. 5:17the first bad guys's on the left down
136. 5:20next bad guy's up to the right next one
137. 5:22here next one here so they're able to
138. 5:25anticipate write this down leaders
139. 5:28anticipate Los users react if you and I
140. 5:32are going to get the level of result
141. 5:33that we deserve and desire then we've
142. 5:35got to be able to anticipate now how do
143. 5:38you anticipate something if you don't
144. 5:40have the experience you have two ways to
145. 5:42learn your own experience or who other
146. 5:46people's most of you probably know the
147. 5:48power of Leverage in finance the power
148. 5:51of other people's money sometimes they
149. 5:53call it OPM what's more valuable than
150. 5:55other people's money other people's
151. 5:57experiences if the other people are
152. 6:00Masters if they're the best in the world
153. 6:02of what they do because then they know
154. 6:03those two millimeters that can give you
155. 6:06results faster that may have taken them
156. 6:0820 years to figure it out they might be
157. 6:10able to teach you in 15 minutes or 15
158. 6:12days or 15 months but not 10 or 20 years
159. 6:16and so my life has been obsessed with
160. 6:18this concept that success leaves clues
161. 6:21that if you want to succeed in my
162. 6:23original teacher was a man named Jim ran
163. 6:25how many you heard of Jim
164. 6:27ran oh quite a few that's beautiful Jim
165. 6:29was a beautiful man he was kind of a a
166. 6:31philosopher a business philosopher and I
167. 6:34worked for Jim I went to work for him I
168. 6:35was 17 years old and I learned a ton
169. 6:38from him and it was mostly philosophy he
170. 6:40did three-hour seminars and every
171. 6:42seminar was exactly the same he dropped
172. 6:44a chalk in his hand the same moment he
173. 6:46turned and looked I know cuz I went to
174. 6:4847 of his seminars and I took notes
175. 6:51every single time cuz I realize I
176. 6:53learned from him repetition is the
177. 6:56mother of skill here's something once
178. 6:58you understand
179. 7:00and if you ever been mad at yourself by
180. 7:01the way cuz you learned something and
181. 7:02didn't apply it it's probably because
182. 7:03you heard it once and understood it
183. 7:06understanding and $3 will almost buy you
184. 7:08a Starbucks meaning understanding is
185. 7:11important but it will give you no
186. 7:13results understanding is a first step
187. 7:15often times you'll share something with
188. 7:17somebody oh I already know that if
189. 7:18you're not doing it you don't know it
190. 7:21you've heard it you understand it
191. 7:24cognitively but it's not in you you
192. 7:26don't know it key number two if you want
193. 7:29to accelerate Mastery in finance in your
194. 7:32intimate relationship in your body and
195. 7:34your joy and your love and your
196. 7:35spirituality any of your life key number
197. 7:38two is you must learn through total
198. 7:40immersion jot it down you must learn
199. 7:43through total immersion remember I
200. 7:45mentioned earlier this seminar is 50
201. 7:47hours long over the course of these four
202. 7:49days there's 52 weeks in a year what if
203. 7:52we came here and just met one hour a
204. 7:54week it would be so much easier would
205. 7:57you get the same result yes or no tell
206. 7:59me
207. 8:00there's no way think about it you dream
208. 8:02it you breathe it you're in it it's 20
209. 8:04hours a day 12 hours a day you make
210. 8:07connections you'll never make when it's
211. 8:08separated out so one of the things I do
212. 8:11as I mentioned earlier is I schedule in
213. 8:13my life the places and times in advance
214. 8:17they're going to make me grow the things
215. 8:19I'm going to do immersion is King if
216. 8:22you'll put yourself in environments of
217. 8:23immersion you'll make more progress in a
218. 8:25few days than you would do in a few
219. 8:26years if you really do it and if you're
220. 8:29doing immersions most importantly with
221. 8:31someone who is totally outstanding not
222. 8:33good not excellent you could spend all
223. 8:35immersion with somebody who's good and
224. 8:37you're going to get immersed in good
225. 8:39which will give you poor results besides
226. 8:41immersion in order you get lasting
227. 8:42results you need spaced repetition right
228. 8:46you go for total immersion you're going
229. 8:47to learn a ton but then you need to go
230. 8:49out into life and apply what you've
231. 8:51learned right and see what works see if
232. 8:54you really got it down or not and then
233. 8:55you want to come back and maybe refine a
234. 8:58few things so any anything you want to
235. 9:00master your body money relationship
236. 9:04energy these are the three keys tell me
237. 9:06what they are number one model someone
238. 9:08who's totally what outstanding number
239. 9:10two if they're totally outstanding you
240. 9:12got to learn by total complete what and
241. 9:15number three you need space What
242. 9:17meditation that's it
