- 0:06Artifacts have been the biggest headache for Genshin Impact players since
- 0:12the game's inception. And even though we've had some minor quality-of-life improvements like Feathers
- 0:19and Frost (I'll leave the names of these items in the comments), the reality is that they remain
- 0:25the biggest problem for players. There's a huge difference between understanding them and
- 0:29not understanding them; they have ways of being used to improve your account. We're going to cover everything
- 0:35from the easy stuff to the unannounced changes, including
- 0:41a small buff to Frost, the high and low ranks that the community has always struggled
- 0:46to understand, and how you can try to understand how an artifact will level up,
- 0:52from the easy to the difficult. So leave a like, a Bennett ultimate, subscribe,
- 0:58leave a nice comment for the algorithm, welcome and invite you to the streams,
- 1:02enjoy your meal if you're eating, and above all, thank you for being there another day behind the screen.
- 1:07You have two Lunar Blessings, and in this video, you'll receive the Ultimate Artifact Blessing
- 1:12if you support the channel by playing for free. Let me know in the comments what you're doing while
- 1:15watching the video, and then we'll get to the final, definitive guide. Here's a Mega link—this one's for real—with
- 1:24JPG images of Genshin Impact artifacts. So, where do you even begin to understand artifacts?
- 1:30Let's start with the basics, and I'm going to divide the guide into five sections so you can understand them
- 1:35perfectly. How do you begin to understand artifacts? You start with classification,
- 1:42elimination, criteria, and basically knowing when to use them, when not to, and having a system to help you
- 1:50know when to use them and when not to. To give you a heads-up, I'll tell you right now
- 1:55that this lock-in assistant is awful, so don't use it. It's better to manually select each
- 2:01artifact you see when farming in Conflagration or Domains,
- 2:06simply by looking at it and saying, "Yes to this one," or "No to this one." That's much easier than this
- 2:13lock-in assistant. It's awful, it does whatever it wants, it doesn't work well. And in fact,
- 2:18many times, even if it marks an item based on certain criteria, the item might later turn out to be
- 2:24terrible, and you have to unmark it even though the assistant marked it. Having to unmark it
- 2:29after marking it is more work than simply viewing and manually selecting and filtering them
- 2:36according to your own criteria. That's the first thing, so don't use the blocking assistant. And now, within
- 2:41this first section—because we're taking it easy in the first section—we're going to talk about both the
- 2:44classification, that is, how I have all this organized, and the personal filter, the discarding process
- 2:52to avoid wasting time deciding which items you'll use and which you won't, before even uploading them. Okay,
- 2:57next point, the filter. I have these filters here; you can easily copy them.
- 3:02Equipment, as you can see, equipped and unequipped. Only the unequipped items are visible; the equipped ones aren't,
- 3:05because if I click on the equipped items, look at the number of items; I don't know if
- 3:09the filter is applied now. Look at the number of items that would appear with my characters. This gets
- 3:14really tedious, and there's a point where your head just spins. So, I remove
- 3:19the unequipped items first, then the equipped ones, so that only the unequipped items are visible here.
- 3:25I actually do a clean-up here from time to time—I'll explain in a moment—but I would recommend, at
- 3:29least, as I mentioned before, that in Genshin you unequip and
- 3:33re-equip all your characters at least once every month or two, or
- 3:38even more often once you have more than 10 characters. Also, once every month or two, you should review everything you have here
- 3:44and discard anything you know you don't need, taking your own criteria into account. For
- 3:49example, this chalice of attack, critical hit ratio, and recharge might not be bad for Sandrone and
- 3:54Odette, as long as they don't have other similar chalices from the [music] set, etc.,
- 3:58right? So, this also involves personal judgment, understanding the characters,
- 4:02each one's builds, and knowing what equipment and characters you have. This is something I can't
- 4:06fully explain in the guide because it depends on you simply knowing what you have on your account.
- 4:12But you should know what you have in your account by default. Then, regarding marking and unmarking,
- 4:17as you can see, I don't have the unlocked items marked. If I marked them, a bunch of unlocked items would suddenly spawn
- 4:22, which would again confuse me because
- 4:27I'd have many more artifacts I don't need. Once I unlock unlocked items,
- 4:33they don't appear here because they go directly to the reliquary, and there's no need to keep them in the
- 4:37inventory. Then, marked and locked items. I currently have the star-marked ones marked,
- 4:41but I don't usually mark them either; I unmark them. Why? Because now,
- 4:47as you can see, there are significantly fewer artifacts, and it's easier to clean up here. When
- 4:52should you mark an artifact (which is the little star)? Well, I'd say you should only mark an artifact in
- 4:58two situations. One, when it's at level zero, has four substats, and of those four substats,
- 5:05it has three that you need; that is, it's an artifact of the gods. For example, this one. I
- 5:10marked this one because it has the maximum rank in damage probability and has energy recharge, probability, and
- 5:15damage, which are useful to me. It doesn't have four substats, but since I didn't have any feathers,
- 5:19I used this one, which is awful. In fact, I marked it because I thought, "Wow,
- 5:23I really want to keep this and not lose it under any circumstances." But I'll still have to level it up,
- 5:28and if I level it up and it levels up poorly, I'll unmark it. And option B, when you've leveled them up, even if
- 5:34they only have three substats, they level up perfectly. For example, this one here, if you look, has defense
- 5:39without duplicates, attack without duplicates, and then it has 45 critical value, which, if we look at it from here,
- 5:45seems to be five roles: three in probability, two in damage. That is,
- 5:49it appeared with four substats. So this is what I would mark: an item I already consider perfect,
- 5:54although in this case it's from another set, for breaking sets on any character that breaks the Feather. The
- 5:59marked items are those I 100% intend to use in the future, one way or another. Here again, there are
- 6:04four with high probability, one with high recharge, and even though you might say, "Well, it's just Rows of Albino Flames." Yes,
- 6:09but it has almost 16 probability and recharge, which means that for a Favonius
- 6:15support character that breaks the Flower, it gives me a high probability of activating Favonius,
- 6:20for example, and breaking sets. Then there's this one, which is a mastery item with 20 recharge, which, as you know,
- 6:24is essential for mastery helmets with high recharge. So, once you know the criteria for
- 6:28marking, you remove the marked items and only keep the locked ones, which are the ones that have been upgraded;
- 6:33they're there just in case. As you can see, there are many new sets, and if you look closely, they're arranged
- 6:37in order. It's in the older sets where I've discarded the most pieces and kept the fewest. In fact,
- 6:42pieces like Recharge Mastery, Recharge Mastery, this helmet
- 6:48because it has a 16% chance, and then it has HP, which might be useful for a Furina
- 6:52or something like that. So, this is the first criterion for checking and unchecking items. And what
- 6:56criteria do you use to filter the level zero items you're going to use or not? First criterion: that
- 7:02the substats, the item, and the main stat match the character you want to farm at
- 7:08that moment, and for that, you need to look at a guide for the character. All the builds are on the channel,
- 7:13highly recommended, and in fact, thank you so much for all the support for the channel's guides. Second criterion,
- 7:18number one, that it has three or four substats, and if it only has three substats,
- 7:23pay close attention to which ones it has that are useful to you. Why? Because in this case,
- 7:29I've blocked this specific feather since I don't have any feathers from this set. If everything reaches
- 7:33critical proportions for Mizuki, since I won't be playing Bisnama on this account, it would be useful. But normally,
- 7:39three substats, two useful, and one of them being the minimum (probability),
- 7:46would be a discard for me and by normal criteria. In fact, I included it as a last resort, because I don't
- 7:51have any other feathers on Mizuki, and it would be the exception that proves the rule. But normally, you'll
- 7:56have to check. In this case, the helmet is the main stat, correct, yes. Two useful substats, which is...
- 8:01Mastery and probability, yes. High-rank probability, because as you know, the minimum
- 8:06probability is 2.7, then there's 3.1, then 3.5, and 3.9. 3.5 and 3.9 are the two high ones. So in
- 8:13this case, I would mark it because it's usable. What else should I consider? Not much else,
- 8:19because if you have an item with three substats and both ranks are low, if, for example,
- 8:24critical damage were 5.4, which is the minimum, then it's definitely an item not to block. I've seen people,
- 8:31guides, reviews, and debates about, "No, Fil, this is definitely something to mark because you never know the RNG. The
- 8:37best one will go forty-something for critical value because if you calculate and it all goes to probability,
- 8:41then damage can go to forty for critical value and be a good feather." Is that argument correct?
- 8:45It can reach a critical hit value of forty, but probabilistically, the luck you need for
- 8:51this item to be useful is so, so, so fleeting that it's much better to risk it
- 8:58with a feather that's more similar to... I don't know if I showed you another one or unmarked it, I don't know what
- 9:03I did with it, but I just had another feather that I showed you and now it's gone. Oh, because
- 9:06it had the little star. It's much more advisable to risk this kind of thing than this kind
- 9:13of thing, especially because here the recharge is useful, here the defense isn't. That is, yes, there is
- 9:17a possibility that this will reach a critical hit value of forty, but it's much lower than something that
- 9:22makes more sense, better substats, higher ranks, and so on. And above all, we're not here to
- 9:28waste resources. Do you also remember when we talked about critical hit ratio and all that? No, yes,
- 9:32one hundred chance and all the damage you can get. No, because increasing probability isn't infinite
- 9:38in this game; it's an opportunity cost. If you get more probability, you lose damage,
- 9:42attack, recharge, and other substats. In other words, you're sacrificing
- 9:46other things for probability, and it's very difficult. It's the same principle: it's not worth risking it, even
- 9:50if there's a chance this item will reach 40 critical hit rate, just for the
- 9:54fleeting possibility that it might level up well. Most likely, it won't, and it's better
- 9:59to risk it with items that are slightly better and be patient until they appear,
- 10:04because they're not guaranteed to. So, that's the criterion for selecting items these days.
- 10:08This would be a discard if I didn't have anything even slightly better. If I level this up and it levels up horribly,
- 10:13then I'll try to level up this one or just unlock it and be more patient, because right
- 10:18now I'm not in a hurry to build this, nor would I get Abyssnia on this account, so it's not necessary.
- 10:23This is the first block, and it's already been 12 minutes. Second block, yes sir, the feather scams.
- 10:29Let's move on to the second block, which is the feathers. I think the feathers will take less time to explain,
- 10:33but basically they work like this. You go to the item, you go
- 10:37to remodel it, and feathers and flowers cost one feather to reroll, while clocks, chalices, and helmets
- 10:45cost two feathers. Feathers are very rare. How do they work? You go
- 10:51here to remodel, select two of the stats you want to boost, and down there, as you can see,
- 10:56it says remodel, but there are also three circles that people still don't understand. What do the
- 11:00circles mean? As you spend feathers, you'll get a pity, a pity of roles. How many roles?
- 11:05When you don't have pity, it guarantees at least two roles in the ones you've selected. In this case,
- 11:11at least one in probability, one in damage, or two in probability, zero in damage, or two in damage,
- 11:16zero in probability. When you fill the first circle and reroll with the circle full,
- 11:22as you can see here, it guarantees you three roles instead of two: two in probability, one in damage,
- 11:26three in damage, zero in probability, and so on. The next circle also guarantees three. While
- 11:31filling the circle, it doesn't guarantee these roles, and the last circle guarantees four,
- 11:37keeping in mind that perfect items don't have four, they have five roles. What
- 11:42does that mean? It means that even if these four roles go well to probability or damage,
- 11:45there's a final role that might not go correctly, and in this case, it could be defense. How many
- 11:50How many feathers do you need to spend to get here? Well, as you can see, each circle needs six feathers,
- 11:54it says so at the bottom. So that's 18 feathers to secure [music] all four roles. Along the
- 12:00way, you'll have two out of three roles guaranteed. So, when should you spend the feathers? Well,
- 12:05I'd say that while many people use them, myself included, to try and get
- 12:11perfect artifacts, and I'm lucky enough to get close to having perfect artifacts on
- 12:15many characters, and let's say I could afford to do it, I don't recommend it. It's not right, and in fact,
- 12:21I shouldn't, honestly. The reality is that feathers, like frost,
- 12:26are more for when you don't have that item—not necessarily a perfect one, but one that was good to begin with,
- 12:32leveled up terribly, and you need it to be a little better at least to balance things out and make
- 12:37a character function or build it properly. In other words, feathers are for the bare minimum, for fixing things, not
- 12:43for maxing out or getting perfect items, in short. That's the criterion and the ritual for feathers.
- 12:49Where would I say they're most necessary? On the items that are harder to obtain;
- 12:53that is, in my opinion, priority should be first the chalices, then the helmets, and finally
- 12:59the clocks. Clocks are relatively easier to get
- 13:02right, actually. Remember this priority because I'll be talking about it in the following sections,
- 13:07specifically in the one about the frost scam. Are you a crumb-eating pigeon and want to stop
- 13:11being a little miny-miñi? Lootbar. Remember that you'll get the biggest discount you can find on
- 13:18your Primogems, so from Snezhnaya to Khaenri'ah and any other distant region,
- 13:24you won't miss out on Odette, Archon Crio, Bishna, Bañiza, all the new characters
- 13:30coming out, Noy, Ronova (if he's playable after all), or even while waiting for Capitano to rise.
- 13:35This platform now offers not only the biggest discount and savings
- 13:40you can get on Primogem packs, but also discounted games. Any game,
- 13:47that favorite game you want to search for, find, save up for, play, and even platinum, is available on Lootbar
- 13:54with a pretty big discount. So, the link is below in the description. Thanks to Lootbar
- 13:59, and I'll leave you with the gentleman on the screen. Next section, this one was quicker. The next
- 14:04section is about the frost scams. [music] The "scam frosts" are basically this item
- 14:08that I'll explain now. You can get one per version here; there are two in the theater,
- 14:14and one in the dupe selector over here. Every two months, you also get
- 14:19a feather and a frost. Then there's that little box, which can also
- 14:23give you a scam frost, but that's RNG, as usual. You can also get frosts by leveling up the
- 14:29quest trees in each region. Now, when you level up the three reputations in Sniezhanya,
- 14:35you also get frosts, and so on. And well, there are ways to get frosts.
- 14:39What are they for, and how do you use them? Well, they're used to create artifacts with two stats, sub-stats
- 14:45that you choose. And then, as you can see, the chalice costs four, the helmet three, and the clock two,
- 14:51which perfectly matches the priority of using feathers because they've
- 14:55obviously calculated the difficulty of getting what you need. Now, what's the
- 14:59little-known improvement they added a couple of versions ago? Before, you could only craft one item
- 15:04from each set per version; now it's two. If you look in that direction, at my finger, it says,
- 15:10"Remaining definitions for this set in this cycle." You can get two. For example, if we go
- 15:15to the other new set, which would be this one, this one, and I'm missing... you might be wondering, "Where
- 15:20's Sniezhanya's support set, Lord of the Screen?" Well, it's right here at the bottom, and it won't
- 15:25let me because I've already gotten two. I was building Alyosha and got some extra items for Odette
- 15:29to add this set to her and do some testing, and it won't let me get any more. So, in the next version,
- 15:34we'll be able to get two more. Now, how does it work? You already know this; I'm not going to explain anything new.
- 15:38You basically put in the item you want, in this case, a chalice, select attributes,
- 15:42The main attack and the secondary ones are critical chance and critical damage. This, for example, is an
- 15:47example for Bisna, okay? This would be a chalice for Bisna. I'm not going to get
- 15:51Bisna for this account, so it doesn't matter to me. And I don't have four to make a chalice, so it still doesn't matter to me.
- 15:54What's the problem with this? That again, many people use it to get the perfect item they're missing,
- 15:59and it's not going to work that way, because it can come with three or four substats, and honestly, 90% of the time it comes with
- 16:04three substats, and then it can come with high and low ranks. Honestly, 90% of the time it comes with
- 16:10low ranks. Aside from that, the rest of the substats are RNG, and while you might get percentage-based attack,
- 16:15energy recharge, elemental mastery, or something else you use, here, on a probabilistic level—
- 16:20unlike the other stuff that's clearly manipulated to waste them—
- 16:24the chance of getting percentage-based attack or flat defense is actually much higher
- 16:29than getting flat defense and, I don't know, flat HP. So, this is going to be bad by default;
- 16:34it's only meant to give you a temporary item to help you build a character until you refine and
- 16:40improve it. What does this mean? That again, you shouldn't go all out like with feathers, expecting
- 16:45something to be perfect, but rather simply try to supplement your builds with
- 16:50new characters that you're missing. And now, what should you prioritize? Chalices,
- 16:55literally, and maybe helmets, but that's it. Clocks are easy, or you can break
- 17:00a set on a clock. I'd say feathers and flowers are the least recommended, as is using feathers.
- 17:06And then, an important point at the end is that the two substats you selected—
- 17:12in my case, the Chalice of Attack with Damage Probability for Bisna—guarantee at
- 17:17least two roles in Damage Probability. That means, no matter how it turns out, when I level it up, at least
- 17:22two roles will go to Probability, zero to Damage; two to Damage, zero to Probability; or one to Probability,
- 17:27one to Damage. And with luck, even more, who knows? This is a small help when leveling them up,
- 17:32because if it were a normal artifact and you leveled it up, four roles could go to flat Defense and one
- 17:37to flat Vitality, and that's it, even if it turned out better. This is also a small help to assist you in building
- 17:42a basic character that you can't create if it's a recent release and you want to play it.
- 17:48This is the complete Frost tutorial so you understand. Play to complete things
- 17:52you're missing, not to create perfect characters, because that's not going to happen, and you
- 17:58'll feel cheated and like you've wasted these resources that are given to you in dribs and drabs. Don't
- 18:03worry too much about these resources. I know it feels awful when you put in so much effort in the
- 18:07theater to get two frosts, then you spend them on a clock, the clock turns out horribly,
- 18:11and you feel like all your effort in the theater was for nothing. Don't worry about it;
- 18:15just save them for when you want to build a character on the first day, and that's it,
- 18:19with a lot of patience. Next point, the third section, let's get to it. Upgrading items,
- 18:26which is also partly how to discard them, as I explained before. How do you upgrade them? Well,
- 18:31let's upgrade, for example, this here. Basically, when upgrading them,
- 18:34there's a very important factor, which is artifact experience. Let me know in the
- 18:37comments how many of you find yourselves unable to upgrade all the artifacts you'd like
- 18:42because you run out of experience. That's a huge problem, and something I'll explain in this video.
- 18:47Basically, you shouldn't upgrade everything. You have to be very selective, more patient, and
- 18:52save your artifact experience. Five-star artifacts are for the Reliquary, and I know
- 18:58many of you use them as experience to upgrade
- 19:02other artifacts, which isn't how it works. Five-star artifacts at level zero are for the Reliquary. Five-star artifacts that have already
- 19:08been upgraded but weren't upgraded correctly are valid for experience. So, what should you do, what
- 19:13are the criteria for upgrading them, and when should you stop to avoid wasting experience? Well,
- 19:17before, people would just upgrade their fourth role to see what would happen. Now, they've implemented quality-of-life policies that...
- 19:23It already appears, and we know which one it is. So, the first one will always be that one; we level it up, level it up, boom,
- 19:27recharge. Now, it's very easy: if the first role goes to defense and the second to recharge, which is
- 19:33useful but not as much because I want critical damage and chance, I don't level it up anymore. If the first
- 19:37roles are going to chance or damage, I keep leveling them up. Finally, if the ranks I want
- 19:41to increase are low, and the rank increases by the same amount but lower, for example, if the critical damage is 5.4,
- 19:48which is the minimum, and a role is added to critical damage and it's low (5.4) and ends up at 10 or 11,
- 19:55or something like that (because I think it has decimals and adds up to 11), that counts as a discard.
- 20:00Because a critical damage item with a dupe of 7 and 7 can be 14, not 11. And if you then keep increasing
- 20:05low ranks, which is likely snowballing, it will end up with very little critical damage.
- 20:10When the average critical damage with two roles is 7 times 3, it's 21, and that item can end up at 15
- 20:15or 16 instead of 21, it's awful. So, let's try this. We're at level 7, and here,
- 20:22if it goes for critical damage and probability, we continue. If it goes for defense or recharge, we'd have a
- 20:26check to say, "Oh, if it levels up poorly at level 12, I'll discard it." First role, boom, probability and on top of that
- 20:31, the maximum, 3.9, 7.8. That's the fifth point, talking about what we've always said:
- 20:36high ranks give a higher probability of another high rank popping, and low ranks give
- 20:41a higher probability of another low rank popping, which is why it's very important to see that the rank
- 20:45is high. The highest probability is 3.9, the highest damage is 7.8, and they all have ranks, and
- 20:50this is beneficial; this is a good sign. Let's look at level 12 now, to see what it levels up. Boom,
- 20:54defense. Here's a problem. If I go for one more role in defense or one more role in energy recharge,
- 20:59I'd discard the item because it's no longer useful to me specifically, and because I'm not in a hurry to get
- 21:04an item like this. If I wanted to equip Bisna and didn't have anything else, then
- 21:09I'd keep it, but I'd keep it as a last resort because I don't have anything else. But if I already have
- 21:12an alternative or can be selective, then no. So let's look at level 16. If it goes into
- 21:16critical chance or critical damage, great. If it goes into defense or recharge, bad, and
- 21:21I'd discard it and save the experience. Boom. Energy recharge. Right now, if we have that the last
- 21:26level 20 role, for example, goes into critical damage and seven points, we'd basically have 8 * 2 = 16, and
- 21:32if we add seven more to critical damage, that's 15, making 31 critical. It's not 35, it's not 40
- 21:39grid value, and it's not 50. I have items with 50 critical value. This is a discard, clearly,
- 21:44even though it seemed to be leveling up well. This is the criterion for leveling up items. If you don't have
- 21:48anything else, then keep it. If you have any alternatives or something already decent, I'm
- 21:52saving myself the trouble of leveling item 16 to level 20, which many people would have already done
- 21:56in case it goes for critical damage. If I didn't have anything else, yes. If I'm not in a hurry and I
- 22:01'm not going to get Bisna, I'm not going to get this item or finish leveling it up, basically. So, there's the item.
- 22:06That's the criterion for leveling them up. The same applies if we go to one that's more difficult, less appealing, let's say,
- 22:10like this helmet, which is about mastery, probability, and I know what I want, it's more of the same.
- 22:14We level it up to level four, the probability comes up, and this is where we start looking. First role,
- 22:18boom, the probability works for me, and in fact, from 3.5 to 7.4 it was 3, 4, 5, 6, it was 3, 3, whatever,
- 22:29right? Or 2.7, which is the minimum. I think it was the minimum of 2.7. What was it? 3. Oh, no,
- 22:34it was the maximum of 3.9. Boom, I'm happy. Next, boom, flat attack, no good,
- 22:39one mistake. Next, 14, mastery, the mastery and the 16 probability are useful. Here I finally have
- 22:45the power to finish leveling it up to 20. Obviously, it would have been better if it had
- 22:49four roles. And boom, health, it's bad. This one went to health, it has four mistakes, two in health,
- 22:55the base plus the dupe, and two in attack, the base plus the dupe, I'm discarding it. Again, if I didn't have
- 23:01anything else and the whole setup to be able to play, I would keep it. Since I'm not going to get Bisna on this account
- 23:06, I'm going to discard it. I repeat, if I had something, then I'd keep it. And there it is, those are
- 23:12Two items that, if I were in a hurry, I'd keep. But since I'm not going to get Bisna, I'm discarding them.
- 23:16That's the criterion for upgrading items. And finally, the complex part: the ranks, the
- 23:22selections, the upgrades, the snowballing, and the part that
- 23:26was very complex and not entirely clear at the time, but I'd randomly say "upgrade here" and it would actually go up there.
- 23:31It was probabilistically impossible for me to get it right, but I'd get it right on stream, live,
- 23:36which isn't something you can just prepare in a video and cut 25,000 times and expect it to be noticeable. Well,
- 23:40it's a simple thing that doesn't affect things that much, but yes, just as the total probability is
- 23:46100% of things, if there's a higher probability of something going to defense or other things, which
- 23:52is empirically proven, it turns out you can understand in what other instances it will go to
- 24:00substats or ranks, because if in, let's say, to make it easy for you to understand, in 80% of
- 24:05cases or at the level of a substat appearing or at the level of increasing it's more likely to go to
- 24:10defense, you can understand that if in 80% of cases it will go to defense, you know there's
- 24:15a 20% probability that it will go to critical damage or something else that interests you. Understanding that, and
- 24:20that the probabilities always end up closing at 100%, which is how statistics work,
- 24:25helps you understand, as I've said before and explained many times, that higher ranks
- 24:30make it more likely that you'll reach a higher rank, and that when you go up to levels 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20,
- 24:35there's a slightly higher chance of reaching a certain sub-status. And if we add up probabilities,
- 24:41that is, if we know that at rank 20, or level 20 of the artifact, the highest stat
- 24:46is more likely to be replaced—in this case, the one at the top, in this case, life—and it turns out that
- 24:50life is a high rank, and it turns out that in two or three of the previous upgrades, the last dupe has already been replaced by life
- 24:56and has already reached a high rank, it's more likely that at level 20 the last dupe will be replaced by life,
- 25:02because there's a greater chance due to both the high rank and snowballing, and because at level 20,
- 25:07the substat at the top is more likely to be replaced. These are things I explained in other
- 25:11videos that you can go and watch; they're quite old. They work this way because it's programming,
- 25:16not some kind of magic or anything like that. And you know, many people, when they didn't understand science, said that science
- 25:21was magic, and they had, well, they had a lot of people defending certain things. Today
- 25:27, well, that's how it works. Do you have to know it? No. Do you have to understand it? It won't affect you that much,
- 25:32only if you know it inside and out and become a total geek about it. You'll end up getting, well,
- 25:37less than 10% more efficiency from your artifacts. Honestly, these days, when
- 25:43I get paid to fix accounts by leveling up artifacts, I generally level them up a little, because
- 25:47you don't usually have that much variety of artifacts on an account to justify discarding more than
- 25:52usual. So, keep those criteria in mind, and again, don't go for
- 25:57absolute perfection. That's the best advice in this video. Try to get to the minimum so the character
- 26:02functions. And when you're completely bored, with everything perfectly built the way you want it, saying,
- 26:07"Well, I have nothing to do, and no matter how much I farm, I already have everything at the minimum and it works
- 26:12the way I want," that's when you can focus on leveling up one of your best DPS so that your
- 26:17gear and that DPS do more damage. But without wasting important resources, simply with patience
- 26:22and the little resin you get every day, because everything extra is simply, let's call it
- 26:27compound interest, meaning that you know a little more about what I've explained, which is more complex,
- 26:31adds that minimum, which isn't even 10%. Having a better criterion for discarding things adds another little bit
- 26:37to selecting better artifacts. Having a bit more luck than normal—some people
- 26:40are lucky in life—adds another little bit overall, and you end up with
- 26:44better things. Knowing the item priorities between supports, DPS, and where to spend or not
- 26:51spend artifact experience adds another little bit. Being a whale—I've
- 26:55left this for last because it's not recommended, but I know many people do it. Being a
- 26:59You spend, I don't know, at least one or two resin refills on Primogems, and that gives
- 27:05you more artifacts, thus pushing the RNG harder to get something perfect. It's
- 27:11another little bit that adds up. And in the end, if you add all that up, you do end up with better artifact efficiency
- 27:16and a much better-built account because all of that accumulates
- 27:21over years of playing the game. Remember, the game is six years old now, and many of us
- 27:25have had our accounts since day one, which is why we have perfect artifacts. But be patient,
- 27:29because as I said in other videos, the average time, both on my accounts [music] and those
- 27:33of the community, and after talking with you all for years, to get a character exactly how you want it
- 27:38, perfectly, is an average of six months. Perfect, meaning a character that you say, "
- 27:43Jesus Christ, I'm going to put this character into competitive play already!" [music] But at the very least, to make the
- 27:47character truly work, dedicating a week or two to it, understanding everything in this video,
- 27:51will allow you to make that character at least minimally playable, understanding frost,
- 27:55feathers, farming, patience, substats, discards, and low and high ranks. A
- 27:59little bit more. The ranks are on the Discord, as I always said, in the artifacts channel so
- 28:03you can see the high and low values for all the substats: health, reload, attack, defense, and whatever else
- 28:07you want. The probabilities—keep in mind that the minimum is 2.7 and the maximum is 3.9.
- 28:12For critical damage, the minimum is 5.4, which is double the minimum probability, and the maximum is 7.8,
- 28:18which is double the maximum 3.9. It's more likely to get a bad stat than to
- 28:23get both probability and damage, and it's more likely to increase a bad stat (defense) than to increase
- 28:28a role (probability or damage). Knowing that, you already know a little bit about how artifacts work.
- 28:32A little more. Half an hour of the updated definitive artifact guide. I hope they don't
- 28:37release a different quality-of-life feature tomorrow and I have to update the guide. A little more. Thanks for
- 28:40reading to the end. Take good care. Have a great day. Don't be mini-minis. And bye.
- 29:04Oh.
