1. 0:16so here's the new manual cam chain
2. 0:18tensioner
3. 0:20all right first step 19 millimeter
4. 0:39here's the tensioner
5. 0:42i changed camera angles here so you guys
6. 0:43can see what's going on i have the new
7. 0:46manual cam chain tensioner right here
8. 0:49and we got a little copper crush washer
9. 0:54stick that on
10. 0:58slide it in the hole
11. 0:59the uh
12. 1:01clutch cable is a little bit in the way
13. 1:03here
14. 1:04just move that aside with the finger
15. 1:06trying to keep my hands out of the way
16. 1:07so you can see what's going on
17. 1:10and we're just going to screw it all the
18. 1:11way in
19. 1:18all right we switched to 21 or 13 16
20. 1:22socket
21. 1:24i'm not going to tell you that it's uh
22. 1:26not a tight fit
23. 1:32there we go
24. 1:34now we're going to screw the eight
25. 1:35millimeter in
26. 1:37basically finger tight
27. 1:39it's a tight space in there so i'm just
28. 1:40going to use the
29. 1:43wrench
30. 1:45like it's my fingers
31. 1:50all right
32. 1:52so that's finger tight
33. 1:55and then we're gonna go another
34. 1:58half turn in
35. 2:00i can get the wrench on there
36. 2:03[Music]
37. 2:14that's a half turn
38. 2:16fire it up
39. 2:28so
40. 2:39all right so a full turn in you can feel
41. 2:41some vibration
42. 3:03yeah there's no weird vibration there
43. 3:08so i'll have to seems to be pretty good
44. 3:10it seems to sound pretty good
45. 3:29okay so i end up going about uh three
46. 3:31quarters of a turn in
47. 3:34i didn't really hear too much difference
48. 3:35but there's no rattling or any other
49. 3:37weird noises so we're gonna button this
50. 3:39baby up
51. 3:40it's leaking a little bit of oil because
52. 3:42i don't have this uh
53. 3:44nut tightened down so i can see some
54. 3:47machining marks on the top of the
55. 3:49adjuster there so
56. 3:51normally you would uh hold this with
57. 3:53another
58. 3:55with another wrench but that doesn't
59. 3:57seem to be an issue here
60. 4:00so i'm just gonna
61. 4:03tighten down the nut
62. 4:08it should be a deep socket
63. 4:18all right she's buttoned up
64. 4:20all right there you go guys it's uh
65. 4:21pretty simple uh i replaced it on the
66. 4:24690 because i didn't really like how
67. 4:26much engine noise there was i know it's
68. 4:27a big thumper and they make quite a bit
69. 4:28of noise but i thought that might take
70. 4:30out some of the noise it really didn't
71. 4:32but uh one one thing it did that i that
72. 4:35i didn't expect it to do was uh
73. 4:38and there's no reason why i would do
74. 4:39this so i'm not saying that it's not
75. 4:41anecdotal but it seemed like it uh
76. 4:44it actually had better response off the
77. 4:46bottom like roll out of a corner power
78. 4:49so i don't know if that has to do with
79. 4:51some with the oil pressure not needing
80. 4:53to uh
81. 4:54build to tighten the cam chain i have no
82. 4:57idea but
83. 4:58i ride the bike before and after i work
84. 5:00on things so i'm really pretty receptive
85. 5:02to
86. 5:03how things work and it feel like it got
87. 5:05an increased like roll-on power like a
88. 5:08smoother roll-on power so
89. 5:10even though it didn't get rid of the
90. 5:11engine noise i feel like that was a nice
91. 5:14benefit that i wasn't expecting to
92. 5:15receive so anyway if you like this video
