- 0:00Hey everybody. In this video, I'm going
- 0:02to walk through the Koa Kuja Easter egg
- 0:04quest for Black Ops 7 zombies. Uh if you
- 0:07follow this route, this should hopefully
- 0:08get everything done for you and eligible
- 0:10to enter the boss fight uh close to
- 0:12round 20. Uh that will vary a bit just
- 0:14because there are quite a few random
- 0:16things that happen on this map. But uh
- 0:17we'll kind of talk about all of that as
- 0:19we go through it and I'll share some
- 0:21specific tips for easily getting through
- 0:22some of those steps uh along the way.
- 0:24First though, a couple call outs on the
- 0:26loadout as there are quite a few
- 0:27important items here that I'm going to
- 0:29be utilizing. Uh, starting with my gun.
- 0:31That's not necessarily important, but I
- 0:32used the Noval line, which seem to work
- 0:34out pretty well on the boss fight when I
- 0:36used it there. Uh, for my field upgrade,
- 0:38I'm going to be starting with Mr. Peaks.
- 0:40I'll talk a little bit more about that
- 0:41in a second. Uh, you do need decoys for
- 0:44a step, however, that's later on, so
- 0:46having it as your tactical to begin with
- 0:48isn't going to really help you. Again,
- 0:50we'll get there. Uh, and then I use C4
- 0:52for a couple steps as well. Uh, and then
- 0:55finally, the gobble gums. I don't use
- 0:57gobble gums for any specific steps, but
- 1:00there is a step uh with the mystery box,
- 1:02if you know what I'm talking about,
- 1:03which again, we'll get there. The uh
- 1:06emilation liquidation for fire sale that
- 1:09could potentially be used as a quick
- 1:11solution as a backup kind of. So, just
- 1:13calling that out. And then taking a look
- 1:15at my augments, there's actually quite a
- 1:16few different things that we have to
- 1:17utilize uh through the steps with these
- 1:19as well. Uh some of them aren't
- 1:21necessarily required, however, they're
- 1:23really helpful. Uh for example, like the
- 1:25mule kick, there is the um fully
- 1:27equipped augment, which is going to
- 1:29allow you to carry more equipment. So,
- 1:31you need three decoys in one step, and
- 1:33that will allow you to carry three
- 1:34rather than two. I don't use it in that
- 1:36step, so I'll show you a way where you
- 1:38don't need to use the fully equipped
- 1:39augment, but again, that's helpful. Uh,
- 1:41and then for field upgrades, I think
- 1:44probably the most important call out
- 1:45here is Mr. Peaks, which I mentioned I'm
- 1:47going to be starting with, and that is
- 1:49the uh Peak's favor augment that is
- 1:51going to allow you to spawn a mystery
- 1:53box. Uh, which again, there's one of
- 1:55these steps, which I not a big fan of,
- 1:57but that makes this very uh simplistic
- 1:59to get through. So, that's what I'm
- 2:01going to be utilizing to get through
- 2:02that step. However, uh, I'll talk about
- 2:04a couple other options that you can use.
- 2:06Uh, and then also uh toxic growth. uh
- 2:09you can use that for one of the steps.
- 2:10Uh so you can have whatever augments,
- 2:12but you need to use it or you can use
- 2:14it. Uh same thing with uh brain rot. So
- 2:17uh toxic growth brain rot is going to be
- 2:18used for one of the steps. You can use
- 2:20either or. Uh but just calling that out
- 2:21as well. And just quickly calling it out
- 2:23because we're here. Uh you don't need
- 2:24specific augments, but there are steps
- 2:26as well where you need to use PhD
- 2:28Flopper and death perception. All right,
- 2:30so back to the map. Uh starting off, we
- 2:32need to go through the steps to activate
- 2:34the pack-a-punch, which should have way
- 2:35points for everything. Uh, but we're
- 2:37going to take care of some additional
- 2:38quest stuff as we do that. Uh, you need
- 2:40to activate two wards which are found on
- 2:42the left and right side of the map. Uh,
- 2:44this is the route I take to do that, but
- 2:46you can go either way. And that leads us
- 2:48into our first item, which is the
- 2:49furine. This can be found in one of
- 2:51three areas as you head down the left
- 2:53side of the map. The first is located
- 2:55immediately after opening the initial
- 2:57door that goes into staging area here.
- 3:00The next spot can be found as you
- 3:02continue to travel through staging area
- 3:04and into stables hanging from this
- 3:05collapsed building in the lava.
- 3:08>> And finally, if it's not at those two
- 3:10locations, you can find the foodine in
- 3:12the training area near melee macchiato
- 3:14hanging on this post.
- 3:17>> On this run, I found it in stables. And
- 3:19that is one part of three that we'll
- 3:21need for the monarchy neco as seen in
- 3:23the quest item list here. Uh so grab
- 3:25that and then head into training area to
- 3:26do the first ward. Uh, I like to do this
- 3:28at the end of round two with one zombie
- 3:30remaining, which makes it fairly
- 3:31straightforward. Uh, just interact with
- 3:33the flag, and you can basically just run
- 3:35in circles inside the boundary until
- 3:37complete.
- 3:40That should take you into round three,
- 3:42and you'll probably need to hang around
- 3:43and earn enough essence to purchase the
- 3:45next few doors. However, another thing
- 3:47you can start doing is checking mystery
- 3:49boxes. I'll talk more about this step
- 3:50later, but here I find the correct box
- 3:52that will be needed, uh, indicated by
- 3:54this wood token sitting on the corner.
- 3:57Once you have enough money, head into
- 3:58central courtyard and then into kitchens
- 4:00where the second ward is. Uh before you
- 4:02do that though, a few more quest items
- 4:04to pick up. First is to get the plum
- 4:06pit, which will pop out after hitting
- 4:08this basket. You can melee it. It's kind
- 4:10of finicky, so just keep trying if it
- 4:11doesn't work. Uh and then you'll need to
- 4:13jump on it three times to reveal the
- 4:15quest item. And then next is the Monik
- 4:17Neko cat statue. This item will also be
- 4:19found in one of three locations. Two of
- 4:21which can be found in the kitchen area.
- 4:23First, it can be found in this corner
- 4:25right behind where the ward flag is. Or
- 4:28it can be found in the room with the
- 4:29double tap machine.
- 4:33And if you check those two spots first
- 4:35and it's not there, uh you'll need to
- 4:36backtrack a bit towards the beginning of
- 4:38the map where you can find it in the
- 4:40gate house area in the room with the
- 4:42jail cells. This is some quality.
- 4:45>> I ended up finding mine by the ward
- 4:47flag. So, I grabbed that and then also
- 4:48hit this hidden bonus points and cleared
- 4:51out most of the zombies for round three
- 4:52to help pay for the door to flower
- 4:53garden. Uh, where we can find another
- 4:55quest item, which is the monk's hood.
- 4:57And this can be found growing near the
- 4:58workbench.
- 5:08With those three new items, we can now
- 5:10return to kitchen and do the second ward
- 5:12flag. Uh, utilizing the same strategy as
- 5:14the first one. and then back up into
- 5:16central courtyard to remove the gate
- 5:17glyphs leading into Tenshu entrance
- 5:23here. A group of armored zombies will
- 5:24greet you. Uh so I throw my decoy.
- 5:26You're going to have to give up that
- 5:27slot soon, so I just kind of make use of
- 5:29it. Uh and then we'll need to purchase a
- 5:31few more doors into the castle, which
- 5:32you should have enough money for by
- 5:34round four or five. Uh first heading
- 5:36into storage rooms, we can find the
- 5:37final piece of the Monaky Neko, which is
- 5:39the Kadakuri. The three possible
- 5:42locations for this one are inside
- 5:44storage rooms on the floor near the PhD
- 5:46Flopper machine. Heading towards the
- 5:49mule kick machine into storage rooms,
- 5:51immediately turn left and find it on
- 5:53this shelf
- 5:55or run past the MK78 wallby into
- 5:58workshop and find it on the floor here.
- 6:02>> Yeah, that ain't right. You should now
- 6:05have all three parts to craft the
- 6:07Monarchy Neko, which can be done inside
- 6:09workshop next to Voltrade at this bench.
- 6:11Try and be a bit more careful than I
- 6:12was, as it does take a while. Uh, but
- 6:14this will give you the Monaky Neko
- 6:16tactical item.
- 6:20And then after that, you'll want to head
- 6:22into war room where an oni will spawn.
- 6:24Uh, he's not super tough, but you can
- 6:26grab this instaill underneath one of the
- 6:27Kadakuri spawns, which takes him out
- 6:30super quick.
- 6:36Japanese history.
- 6:39>> Once defeated, he'll drop the Hanco
- 6:41quest item. And then nearby that, you
- 6:43can also pick up this ceramic shard on
- 6:45the ground and a paper note on the
- 6:47shelf, which will come into play a bit
- 6:48later, but for now, you can use the
- 6:50Hanco to open up the door, which will
- 6:52lead up to the world seed, where you can
- 6:53defeat purple glowing zombies to charge
- 6:56it up, and that will spawn the
- 6:57pack-a-punch machine. Blow out in the
- 6:59back.
- 7:06After this, I like to use the hidden
- 7:08double points power up, which can be
- 7:09found on the giant tree inside central
- 7:11courtyard. Uh, we're going to have to
- 7:12buy a few things soon, so this helps for
- 7:14that. The first being PhD Flopper, as
- 7:17that is required to knock down Nekcoma,
- 7:19the cat hanging from this cage. Uh,
- 7:21simply do a diving flop explosion below
- 7:23it, and then you'll be able to pick up
- 7:24the cage, which you'll need to take and
- 7:26throw into lava to free her.
- 7:30Maybe at one glorious heat give me more
- 7:34peasant.
- 7:36>> Sorry, this kitty don't do gratitude.
- 7:40>> Once the cat disappears, you can now
- 7:42spawn the cat prints which will be found
- 7:44in one of four locations. Uh all of them
- 7:46will be in doorways. So for example,
- 7:48going from central courtyard to kitchen,
- 7:51kitchen to flower garden, staging area
- 7:53to stables, or stables going into
- 7:56training area. To activate, you'll need
- 7:57to defeat a zombie on top of that mark.
- 7:59So, run around and do this at each of
- 8:01those four locations until it pops up.
- 8:04While you're doing this, the lava should
- 8:06hopefully now be solid inside stables.
- 8:08Uh, and this is an opportunity to grab
- 8:09another quest item, which is the Netsuke
- 8:12brother statue. Uh, you can do this
- 8:13later if needed. It's just only
- 8:15available when the lava cycle is solid.
- 8:17So, just keep an eye out. Uh, you can
- 8:19see it's stuck in the rock here, and
- 8:20you'll need an explosive to free it,
- 8:22which I use C4 to do.
- 8:27Nothing like a little brotherly love.
- 8:30>> Once you've identified the correct
- 8:31location and spawn the first set of paw
- 8:33prints, look down and see what direction
- 8:35they're going. You'll then need to shoot
- 8:37another zombie on a hidden spot a short
- 8:39distance away from that and continue
- 8:41that process six or seven times until
- 8:43the trail leads you to the end, which
- 8:45will be indicated by three sets of paw
- 8:46prints traveling in a circle. For the
- 8:48kitchen area specifically, you can kind
- 8:50of get an idea of what that looks like
- 8:52here.
- 9:07At this point, I'd recommend getting
- 9:09your weapon pack-a-punched. Uh although
- 9:11not required, it just kind of makes this
- 9:12next part a little bit easier. But when
- 9:14you're ready, throw the Monarchy Neko
- 9:16into the middle of the paw print circle.
- 9:18However, a couple important things to
- 9:20note here. Uh, first, it appears that if
- 9:22the lava is currently solid when you do
- 9:24this, it won't work. So, wait until that
- 9:26starts flowing again before you throw
- 9:27it. And for whatever reason, if it
- 9:29doesn't work when you throw it, uh, you
- 9:31can get another Monaky Neko back where
- 9:32you originally crafted it. If all goes
- 9:34well, though, uh, the cat should appear
- 9:36from the lava and jump on the Monaky
- 9:37Neko, followed by an abomination who
- 9:39will promptly eat it. Uh, this is where
- 9:41the pack-a-punch comes in handy, as
- 9:42you'll then need to defeat the
- 9:43abomination, which goes by pretty
- 9:45quickly if you just focus fire on each
- 9:47of his three heads uh, when they're
- 9:48glowing for critical hits.
- 9:50>> [groaning and screaming]
- 10:00>> The cat will then run away and you'll
- 10:02need to turn to the next round for her
- 10:04to appear again, which will be in one of
- 10:06three areas. Two of them are in the
- 10:07kitchen, either in this back corner or
- 10:10in the room next to the double tap
- 10:11machine uh going into Flower Garden. If
- 10:14she's not at either of those spots, you
- 10:15can find her in this corner in training
- 10:17grounds near Melee Mchiato. Not
- 10:19necessarily required, but you'll
- 10:21probably want to get death perception
- 10:22for this as well. Uh, the cat will be
- 10:24napping and you need to sneak up and
- 10:26grab her, but she's surrounded by creaky
- 10:28floorboards uh that will scare her away.
- 10:30And death perception lets you see and
- 10:32avoid these. You should also hear her
- 10:33purring uh which will let you know that
- 10:35she's in the area.
- 10:42>> Show's over. Furball. Once you're able
- 10:45to grab the cat, take her to the world
- 10:46seed, which will have a little bit of an
- 10:48animation to watch before it begins
- 10:50pulsing red with energy. From here,
- 10:52you'll need to time melee attacks on the
- 10:54world seed in between pulses until the
- 10:56cat breaks free, and then you can pick
- 10:58her up as the wonder weapon.
- 11:11You've picked my interest. Pickle as it
- 11:14is. Carry on.
- 11:16>> All right. So, in this particular run, I
- 11:18was able to get that all done by round
- 11:20eight. But hopefully this should have
- 11:21you pretty close to that. Uh, and now we
- 11:23begin the next phase of the Easter egg,
- 11:25which is to go around and collect the
- 11:26five groups of evidence to help solve
- 11:29the murder of this quest. We've already
- 11:31collected some of this while building
- 11:32the wonder weapon, but the next step now
- 11:34that we have that is to get the empty
- 11:36pouch. You can acquire this by heading
- 11:37down towards training area and using a
- 11:39charge shot of the necromancer on this
- 11:41beam to knock it to the ground.
- 11:44>> It was either in your face.
- 11:48>> Once you have that, I'd recommend
- 11:49clearing all but one or two zombies in
- 11:51the round. And then we can also use the
- 11:52wonder weapon for another step, which is
- 11:54to light 11 lanterns found on the map.
- 11:57Uh most of them are fairly easy to see
- 11:59and out in the open, but I'll show
- 12:00footage running around doing this. Uh it
- 12:02is a timed event as well, so try and be
- 12:04as quick as possible. Uh, if you do fail
- 12:06it, you'll need to wait until the next
- 12:07round for another attempt.
- 12:08>> Start a fire.
- 12:50All right, lights are on. What's next?
- 12:53>> You should get a positive dialogue cue
- 12:55if you successfully get all 11. Then
- 12:57head back up into war room where the oni
- 12:59spawned where you'll see a blue ghostly
- 13:00figure you can interact with to start a
- 13:02cut scene. Once this completes, wait for
- 13:04all the dialogue to finish uh that's
- 13:06required to spawn this next item. Uh and
- 13:08then head up to the roof and use the
- 13:10wings suit to fly into the sky. Uh
- 13:12shortly after takeoff, you'll see two
- 13:14paths that you can choose. Hold your
- 13:16right movement input to fly by a mask
- 13:18that's hanging on the roof that you can
- 13:19pick up by hitting the interact key.
- 13:26same mask we saw at the murder site.
- 13:29Can't be a coincidence.
- 13:33Uh, you then want to take that mask and
- 13:34place it on this wall in storage rooms.
- 13:36But before you do that, I'd highly
- 13:38recommend only doing this with one or
- 13:40two zombies left in the round.
- 13:43And as you can see, three of the masks
- 13:45on the wall immediately flashed red. And
- 13:47you'll need to remember what mask it
- 13:48was, as well as the order that it
- 13:50flashed. uh looking at the wall, you
- 13:52could ignore the mask that you placed
- 13:53and just worry about the other five. And
- 13:55from here, you'll begin to see a group
- 13:57of zombies spawn in, each wearing one of
- 13:59those five masks on the wall. Uh the
- 14:01woman and tribal masks in particular can
- 14:03be a bit hard to see, and the zombies
- 14:05often clump up into a big group. Uh this
- 14:07is also why it's really good to make
- 14:08sure you only have like one or two
- 14:10zombies left in the round before you do
- 14:11this, as that makes things worse. Uh but
- 14:13just take your time and make sure you've
- 14:14got a clean shot and then take out the
- 14:16masked zombies in the same order that
- 14:18they flashed on the wall. And you'll
- 14:20need to repeat this for three rounds. Uh
- 14:22this next one has four masks that you
- 14:24need to do. And a few additional things
- 14:26to note. Uh I did it kind of quick here,
- 14:28but you do have to interact with the
- 14:30wall to start the next sequence. Uh so
- 14:32you can do that whenever you're ready.
- 14:33The next round doesn't just like
- 14:35immediately start. Uh also zombies will
- 14:37leave you alone as the masks flash. Uh
- 14:40so you can just kind of stare at the
- 14:41wall and not have to worry about needing
- 14:42to avoid hits or anything. So that's
- 14:44nice. Uh, but once you've got that
- 14:45locked into memory, written down or
- 14:47whatever, head back out and shoot the
- 14:49zombies in the correct order again. And
- 14:51for the final round, you've got five
- 14:53masks. So again, watch the wall and
- 14:55repeat the process. Uh, one additional
- 14:57thing to note is that if you do mess up
- 14:59and accidentally shoot a zombie in the
- 15:01wrong order, uh, the step will get
- 15:03locked, but you can start over and try
- 15:05again after jumping to the next round.
- 15:15Once complete, interact with the mask
- 15:17that should now be glowing and a cut
- 15:18scene will start. Uh after that
- 15:20completes, the mask will bolt away and
- 15:22you need to chase it down three
- 15:24different times. Uh the first is nearby
- 15:26to the left of the stairs, hiding at the
- 15:28bottom of this bookcase. Uh shoot it and
- 15:30you'll get to Keshi's pipe.
- 15:36>> Breakfast. Next, it'll move upstairs to
- 15:38the back of the top floor where the
- 15:40Wonder Fizz will eventually spawn. Uh,
- 15:42you can find it there on the ceiling,
- 15:43and this will get you Takio's case.
- 15:52And finally, head into Onen Baz and look
- 15:55out the window by the elemental pot
- 15:56machine to get Mitsuh's comb.
- 16:04From there, the mask will travel to the
- 16:06world seat up in the pack-a-punch room,
- 16:08and you can move on to the next step.
- 16:10All right, so this takes us to the
- 16:12mystery box step, which I've personally
- 16:14experienced a lot of inconsistencies
- 16:16with, uh, as honestly just frustrations.
- 16:19Uh, so I'm just going to go and show you
- 16:21the process that I've been using that
- 16:22seems to work the best. However, I'll
- 16:24also talk about some backup options and
- 16:26things that you can do uh to get through
- 16:28this as well. First off, you can see I
- 16:30was able to get the item, which is the
- 16:31coin purse, in round nine. Uh but before
- 16:34you attempt this, head into the
- 16:35meditation room and you can interact
- 16:37with the shelves here to start placing
- 16:38all of the evidence that you've
- 16:40collected so far. Uh as you can see,
- 16:42we've got all of the pieces of evidence
- 16:43for the first group uh from the mask
- 16:45step. So that causes our first of five
- 16:48pictures to appear on the wall. After
- 16:50this happens, turn the round and then
- 16:52again based on my experience, uh this
- 16:54will make you eligible to get the coin
- 16:56purse from the mystery box. Uh if anyone
- 16:58knows if this is actually the exact
- 16:59requirements though, please let me know
- 17:01in the comments. So, as mentioned
- 17:02earlier, you want to find the mystery
- 17:04box that has this wooden token on one of
- 17:06its corners to identify the correct one.
- 17:08If that particular mystery box is
- 17:10inactive, you can move it to that
- 17:11location by using whatever the active
- 17:13mystery box is until Mr. Peak shows up.
- 17:15However, the next location is random, so
- 17:18there's a good chance it won't move to
- 17:19where you want it. Uh, and you need to
- 17:21repeat this process over and over until
- 17:23you get lucky. Uh, I no joke spent over
- 17:25a 100,000 essence easily across two
- 17:28games. Uh, and it never moved to the
- 17:30mystery box with a token. So, I do not
- 17:32recommend that strategy. Instead, the
- 17:34best way to do this is to utilize the
- 17:35Mr. Peak's field upgrade along with the
- 17:38Peak's favor minor augment. Uh, using
- 17:40this in front of the mystery box will
- 17:42activate it for a short time, and when
- 17:44active, you'll need to get another Monik
- 17:45Neko, throw it at the mystery box, and
- 17:47then spin it. If it works, the Monkey
- 17:49Neko will glow blue, and then the coin
- 17:51purse will appear.
- 17:55Other potential backup options are to
- 17:57use the fire cell powerup, which
- 17:59requires you get all of the main hidden
- 18:00power-ups first, like double points, max
- 18:02ammo, and things. Uh, I have a YouTube
- 18:04short going through these locations,
- 18:05which I'll link in the description if
- 18:07needed. Uh, place a C4 next to the fire
- 18:09sail, go to the mystery box location,
- 18:11and then detonate it.
- 18:14>> Fire sail.
- 18:17>> Also, you can try using an emulation
- 18:19liquidation gobble gum if you have one,
- 18:21which gives you a fire sail as well.
- 18:23After grabbing the coin purse from the
- 18:24mystery box, uh, take it back to the
- 18:26beginning spawn area next to the rampage
- 18:28inducer, and it'll float in front of
- 18:30you. Interact with it to watch another
- 18:32cut scene.
- 18:34>> This has better work.
- 18:36>> If you get that done without issue, you
- 18:38should be in pretty good shape. Uh,
- 18:39that's probably my biggest like hold
- 18:41your breath moment of the Easter egg.
- 18:42Uh, so now returning our attention back
- 18:44to that empty pouch item that we got
- 18:46earlier. Uh, you can kind of do this
- 18:48whenever. Uh, I didn't end up doing it
- 18:50until round 15 here, but start keeping
- 18:52an eye out for those fissure events that
- 18:54appear on the map randomly. Uh, when you
- 18:56see one, head into that area and just
- 18:58run around until you get a positive
- 19:00dialogue cue of some sort. Uh, it takes
- 19:02about a minute. Uh, but this will fill
- 19:04up the pouch with ash. Uh, you'll also
- 19:06see that indicated in your quest item
- 19:07list. Uh, keep an eye on your health
- 19:09while you do this as well.
- 19:11>> Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
- 19:15You can then take this along with the
- 19:17monk's hood that you picked up in the
- 19:19flower garden earlier and place it in
- 19:21this pot next to the Xville booth and
- 19:22tenue entrance. Uh then run over to the
- 19:24cherry blossom tree. There are also a
- 19:26few others around the map that you can
- 19:28use as well, but melee it until it glows
- 19:30and then stay next to it until you get a
- 19:32health overcharge. From here, uh try and
- 19:34run in a straight line as possible as
- 19:36you'll then need to run in a circle with
- 19:38that health overcharge active next to
- 19:40the pot until a tornado appears. This
- 19:43will then get you the monk's hood
- 19:44flower,
- 19:52the queen of poisons.
- 19:54>> So again, do that whenever you see a
- 19:56fissure pop up while doing the remainder
- 19:57of these tasks. But after the coin
- 19:59purse, the next major step is to spawn
- 20:01the gardener. Uh go to the tea garden,
- 20:04and there you'll find a bucket that you
- 20:05can pick up as well as a small puddle
- 20:07next to that you can interact with to
- 20:08fill up. You'll see an icon with uh
- 20:11three units of water and you'll lose one
- 20:14each if you sprint, jump, or get hit.
- 20:16Fortunately, you can refill it, but be
- 20:18careful and walk across the map over to
- 20:20Flower Garden. Uh again, probably a good
- 20:22idea to do this with one or two zombies
- 20:24in the round. Uh you can go through the
- 20:26kitchen if the lava is solid, but if
- 20:28not, head through the gate house and
- 20:30then you can walk over without jumping
- 20:32uh next to this wall here.
- 20:38There are then three plants that you'll
- 20:39need to water using the bucket. Uh they
- 20:42can be a bit hard to identify, but
- 20:43they're all near the path. Uh two on
- 20:46this side of the lava. And then once you
- 20:48have those two done, use the bridge to
- 20:50fall down to the other side and get this
- 20:52one as well.
- 20:57After all three are watered, uh the
- 20:59gardener will spawn. And in order to
- 21:01defeat him, you need to shoot the two
- 21:03glowing flowers to make him vulnerable
- 21:04to damage. Uh, you may have to do that a
- 21:06couple cycles, but once down, he'll drop
- 21:08the gardening shears evidence. Uh, as
- 21:10well as another note.
- 21:17>> I'll never bring scissors to a gunfight.
- 21:24>> If you haven't done so at this point,
- 21:26I'd recommend getting the wonder weapon
- 21:27pack-a-punched for this next step, which
- 21:29is to spawn the merchant, who's got
- 21:31quite a bit of health that you'll have
- 21:32to damage in a short amount of time.
- 21:34When you're ready, go back to the
- 21:36kitchen and melee this box and a tomato
- 21:38will fall. Uh, similar to the plum
- 21:39earlier, but don't pick this one up as
- 21:41this is going to be bait for another
- 21:43zombie to spawn. Uh, leave the area for
- 21:45at least 1 minute, then return and he
- 21:47should be crouched by the window with
- 21:48that tomato in his mouth. Lure him back
- 21:50to the staging area towards the
- 21:52beginning area and shoot him in front of
- 21:54this window. Uh, he'll drop the tomato,
- 21:56luring out the merchant who then you
- 21:58need to defeat uh before he disappears.
- 22:00So again, with the wonder weapon
- 22:01pack-a-punch, I'd recommend using a
- 22:03combination of charged and normal shots
- 22:05uh to get him down quickly. Uh once
- 22:07complete, he'll drop the abacus as well
- 22:09as another note.
- 22:17>> More math,
- 22:20where are you?
- 22:24We can now do the third and final step
- 22:26for this group of evidence, which is to
- 22:28spawn the noble in the training area. Uh
- 22:30you'll need three decoys total. Uh I
- 22:32just buy one at the workbench to get
- 22:33one. Uh and you'll need to use these on
- 22:35each of the three windows above the area
- 22:37where that ward flag was. So mentioned
- 22:40at the beginning of this video, uh by
- 22:41default, you can only hold two decoys,
- 22:44but with the mule kick and the fully
- 22:45equipped augment active, this increases
- 22:48to three. I didn't do this. Um, instead
- 22:50I place a C4 next to the max ammo power
- 22:53up, throw my decoy, and then use that to
- 22:55refill my stock and throw the rest.
- 23:00>> Activating C4.
- 23:04>> Max ammo
- 23:05>> decoy running.
- 23:09Someone's home.
- 23:11>> If done successfully, the noble will
- 23:13open up the windows and start throwing
- 23:14grenades at you, which you need to pick
- 23:16up and throw back until you defeat him.
- 23:18Uh, I am apparently very bad at this.
- 23:20Uh, and it took me a lot longer than I'd
- 23:22care to share to finally get it done.
- 23:24Uh, but fortunately, it doesn't appear
- 23:26to be on a timer and it just keeps going
- 23:28until you do enough damage. So, that was
- 23:30good. Uh, once done though, you'll get
- 23:31the noble's hat as well as another note.
- 23:36We now have all of the evidence for
- 23:38painting number two. Uh, so return to
- 23:40the meditation room and place them on
- 23:41the shelf.
- 23:45>> Got a business transaction here. Head
- 23:47downstairs and this shelf near the door
- 23:49by the mule kick machine will have nine
- 23:51scrolls. Melee it to start a puzzle game
- 23:53that you'll need to solve where a random
- 23:54assortment of the scrolls will stick
- 23:56out. Um, fortunately the game does give
- 23:58you a neco to distract zombies that
- 24:00lasts for quite a while so you can solve
- 24:02it in peace. Uh, but basically you need
- 24:04to melee each scroll until all of them
- 24:06are back inside the box. Uh, hitting a
- 24:08scroll will affect the ones next to it
- 24:10and put them in the opposite position.
- 24:12So here I hit one inside and because the
- 24:15two next to it are also outside, they
- 24:17reverse positions and go inside as well.
- 24:19Uh this can be a bit tough, but there
- 24:21are actually a few solvers online that
- 24:22people have already made to
- 24:24automatically give you the solution. Uh
- 24:25which I'll leave a link to in the
- 24:27description. Uh just tell it which
- 24:28scrolls are out at the initial start of
- 24:30the game. Uh and it'll give you the
- 24:32order of scrolls to hit. When you get
- 24:34the correct solution, the pestal item as
- 24:36well as another note will pop out. Pick
- 24:38both of those up and take the pestl to
- 24:40the kitchen area where there will be a
- 24:41bowl. uh near the mystery box. Interact
- 24:44with that and you should see a little
- 24:45bit of an animation play which starts an
- 24:47event where you need to power up the
- 24:48bowl with zombies either by using the
- 24:51brain rot ammo mod or toxic growth field
- 24:53upgrade or a combination of both. Uh if
- 24:55needed, you can switch to the toxic
- 24:57growth field upgrade, then head down
- 24:58into the flower garden and get the full
- 25:00power power up here uh for an immediate
- 25:03charge.
- 25:07full power.
- 25:09>> It takes quite a few zombies. Uh so you
- 25:11may need to spend a round or two here to
- 25:12get that done, but when it is complete,
- 25:14the pestl will glow blue. Uh interact
- 25:16with it for a cut scene and then turn
- 25:18around and get the puffer fish item from
- 25:20this shelf, which will open up.
- 25:23>> I feel bad for the show getting [ __ ]
- 25:25over by such a fire little [ __ ] Don't
- 25:27you dare poison me, fish.
- 25:28>> If you were able to do the monkshood
- 25:30step with the tornado already, uh then
- 25:32you should now have all three pieces of
- 25:34evidence for the third painting. So, put
- 25:36them on the shelf. And this time, once
- 25:38it appears, you can interact with it to
- 25:40get another ceramic shard, which will
- 25:41allow you to repair the saki cup.
- 25:47>> And that can be done at this workbench
- 25:48and tea garden. Uh, interact with the
- 25:50table and once complete, you'll need to
- 25:52turn the round. Uh, this should then
- 25:53cause the cup to turn blue once the next
- 25:55round starts where you can then again
- 25:57watch another cut scene and then pick up
- 25:59the cup. From here, you'll need to take
- 26:01it to three different locations and
- 26:02complete uh defend type events. The
- 26:04first is just down the hill staying in
- 26:06tea garden. Place it on the floor here
- 26:08and then just sit in the corner and use
- 26:10charge wonder weapon shots until
- 26:12complete. Afterwards, pick up the cup as
- 26:14well as the tea whisk.
- 26:25>> Next, go to the top of the roof where
- 26:27one of the mask items was next to the
- 26:29wonder fizz spawn. Repeat the process
- 26:31and get the calligraphy brush.
- 26:41Finally, go into the war room and in the
- 26:43back corner, place the cup here. After a
- 26:46short time, a hellhound is going to come
- 26:47in, steal the cup, and then run away.
- 26:49So, you need to chase him down and
- 26:51defeat him. And if you lose track, he
- 26:53seems to eventually just continuously
- 26:54run around in the circle through the
- 26:56kitchen uh flower garden gate house
- 26:58courtyard area. Uh, but when you finally
- 27:00get him though, he'll drop the horse
- 27:01statue, which due to poor timing, I had
- 27:04to hunt down in the lava
- 27:10for [ __ ] Glad I skipped this era.
- 27:14>> Take those three pieces of evidence, uh,
- 27:16put them on the shelf again for the
- 27:17fourth painting to appear, and this will
- 27:19activate a clock down by the PhD Flopper
- 27:22machine that you can interact with to
- 27:23get a code. Uh, the clock will spin
- 27:25around four times, giving you four
- 27:27different numbers. So, in my example, I
- 27:29got the code 5954.
- 27:33>> Not again.
- 27:35>> At this point, there isn't really much
- 27:37more you can do until the next assault
- 27:39wave starts. Uh, this time, certain
- 27:41zombies will be carrying flags, but you
- 27:43don't really need to do anything
- 27:44specific. Just defend like normal,
- 27:46defeat the zombies, and afterwards,
- 27:48those flags will appear in the staging
- 27:50area. Each flag has a certain amount of
- 27:52symbols on it, and that signifies the
- 27:54number that the flag represents. You
- 27:56then need to use these flags to input
- 27:58the code that you got from the clock. So
- 28:01again, in my example, that was 5 954.
- 28:05Each number of the code will then be
- 28:07placed using the flags at one of four
- 28:09areas. And the order is determined by
- 28:12the Japanese numbers glowing on the
- 28:13wall. So here, I'll place the first
- 28:16number of the code using the flags in
- 28:18flower garden, number two in stables,
- 28:21number three in courtyard, and number
- 28:23four in the beginning spawn. Although
- 28:25the area for each number of the code may
- 28:27be different for your game. So run
- 28:28around first and just verify what area
- 28:31represents what position of your code.
- 28:33Each location has two pole flag slots.
- 28:36So for example, to make nine, I could
- 28:38use a flag that represents four plus a
- 28:40flag that represents five. Uh if you can
- 28:42input a number using just one flag, then
- 28:44you can do that as well. Uh so just pick
- 28:46up the flag, take it to that area, and
- 28:48put it in the slot for each number of
- 28:49your code.
- 28:50>> Package delivered that way. If you place
- 28:53the flags correctly, you can then
- 28:55interact with the clock, which will open
- 28:57up and reveal the crest medallion. Uh,
- 28:59this is the final item of the Easter
- 29:01egg. So, take it up to the meditation
- 29:02room and place it on the shelf with the
- 29:04others, causing the fifth and final
- 29:06painting to show. With that and all of
- 29:08the evidence at your disposal, you need
- 29:09to now identify the culprit. Uh, this is
- 29:12done by placing the correct item in
- 29:14front of each painting. To make things a
- 29:16bit simpler here, uh, the fifth painting
- 29:17will always be the medallion, which you
- 29:19just got from the clock. So, place that
- 29:21there. And then the first painting will
- 29:23always be the comb.
- 29:26>> Whoever killed the shogun, this was
- 29:28probably theirs.
- 29:29>> For paintings two, three, and four, you
- 29:31have to do a bit more work. Uh, starting
- 29:33with the easiest one, painting number
- 29:35four. These are the three items that you
- 29:37picked up while defending the saki cup.
- 29:39If you look at that painting
- 29:40specifically, it will have one of three
- 29:42objects on it. In my case, it was a
- 29:44fish. And these match up with the items
- 29:46that you got at each of those locations.
- 29:48So, the T-wisk area that had a fish
- 29:50poster. the calligraphy brush that had a
- 29:53bird poster and the horse statue had a
- 29:56mountain poster. So, in my case, I put
- 29:58the T-wisk down
- 30:02the castle.
- 30:03>> Moving to painting number two. Uh, this
- 30:05will be the items that you got from
- 30:06either the gardener, the merchant, or
- 30:08the noble. And you can get this
- 30:10information by activating the two traps
- 30:12on the map. For the flower garden,
- 30:14activate it to defeat zombies and then
- 30:16run inside to this barricade. I'm
- 30:18honestly not sure if you have to
- 30:19interact or if it's just automatic, but
- 30:21I spammed interact just in case. But a
- 30:23soldier will appear who may or may not
- 30:25have information. And in this case, he
- 30:27did not.
- 30:30I saw nothing unusual on.
- 30:34>> If that happens, then you have to go use
- 30:36the other trap, which will then let you
- 30:37know which one was involved.
- 30:46So, as you can probably hear, it's a
- 30:48really good idea to turn on captions for
- 30:50this. Uh, but you can see that he
- 30:51mentions the gardener. So, for that
- 30:53painting, you would put down the
- 30:54gardening shears.
- 30:58>> It takes a village out there in the
- 31:00world.
- 31:00>> There was a noble wandering the castle
- 31:03after.
- 31:04>> Here's another example that you can hear
- 31:05a bit more clearly where it was the
- 31:07noble. So, in that case, you would place
- 31:09down the hat. Uh, I'm not sure what the
- 31:11line for the merchant is, but in that
- 31:12case, it would be the abacus. And then
- 31:14finally, the third painting, which seems
- 31:16to cause the most problems, is going to
- 31:18be the type of poison. So, either the
- 31:20monk's hood, the plump pit, or the
- 31:22puffer fish. Uh, on the attempt here
- 31:23where I was at round 20, I actually got
- 31:25this one wrong. So, after I go through
- 31:27this, I'll show you what happens then.
- 31:28Uh, but the way you solve this is to
- 31:30look at all of those notes that you've
- 31:32been collecting along with the evidence.
- 31:34uh if you can get enough time to
- 31:35actually read them without zombies
- 31:37hitting you, uh they provide a bunch of
- 31:38hints about the evidence to use as well.
- 31:40For example, uh looking at this other
- 31:42run where I actually got it right on the
- 31:44first attempt, uh the known toxins show
- 31:46symptoms as well as the time that it
- 31:48takes effect. We'll use that a bit
- 31:49later. Uh but utilize this with the
- 31:51information from the doctor's record
- 31:53under cause of death. And in my case, it
- 31:55notes a noxious plant and ends up being
- 31:58the monk's hood.
- 32:01In my other run that showed consuming a
- 32:03noxious food and showed signs of
- 32:05emmesis, which you can again line up
- 32:07with the symptoms information on the
- 32:09known toxins page. Uh this is where I
- 32:11messed up as I chose puffer fish, but it
- 32:14actually ended up needing to be the
- 32:15plump pits as both actually show
- 32:17symptoms of emmesis. So there can be
- 32:19some overlapping information leaving you
- 32:21choosing between two options. Uh but
- 32:23here is kind of a quick guide to help
- 32:25you narrow things down. If for your
- 32:27second painting item, it's the noble, it
- 32:29won't be plump pits, as one of the notes
- 32:31indicates that he's allergic. If the
- 32:33item is the abacus, it won't be the
- 32:35monk's hood. And if the item is the
- 32:38gardening shears, like what I got, it
- 32:39won't be the puffer fish, which is what
- 32:41happened to me and why I messed things
- 32:42up. Once you think you've got all of the
- 32:44right pieces of evidence for each
- 32:45painting, the last step is to set the
- 32:47clock. Uh looking at the doctor's
- 32:49record, again, the time of death will be
- 32:51listed by the hour of a certain animal.
- 32:53Uh in this case, I got the hour of the
- 32:55rat. Uh you then need to also look at
- 32:57the known toxins page again and see how
- 32:59long that correct poison item takes
- 33:01effect. So uh again I chose puffer fish
- 33:04which was wrong in this case but
- 33:06assuming that that was right uh it would
- 33:08be 3 hours. Uh it's also worth noting
- 33:10that these numbers change each game. Uh
- 33:12so death was at the hour of the rat and
- 33:15ingestion was 3 hours before that. So we
- 33:18want to go to the clock find the rat
- 33:19icon and set the clock back 3 hours. And
- 33:22when that's all ready to go, the last
- 33:24thing to do to lock everything in is to
- 33:26light the incense on both sides of the
- 33:28painting. And if this happens, you know
- 33:30you messed up.
- 33:31>> What good am I being punished for?
- 33:35>> In that case, you'll just have to turn
- 33:36the round uh to try again and swap out
- 33:38whatever was the wrong poison. And also
- 33:40readjust the clock utilizing the correct
- 33:42time to take effect. Looking at a
- 33:45different example where I did it
- 33:46correctly. Uh on this run, I got Year of
- 33:48the Tiger with a time to take effect of
- 33:502 hours. So, I set the clock
- 33:51accordingly. And in this case, a glowing
- 33:54orb will appear. Travel up to the world
- 33:56seed, and then you'll be teleported to
- 33:57the central courtyard for kind of a mini
- 33:59boss fight, which is pretty
- 34:00straightforward. Um, floating masks will
- 34:03fly around as well as zombies. Uh, shoot
- 34:05them and then do damage to the oni with
- 34:07the pack-a-punched wonder weapon. He
- 34:08goes down pretty quick.
- 34:14You'll then be teleported back and
- 34:16greeted by this pretty badass cinematic
- 34:18with the dragon. And you are officially
- 34:20done with all of the steps and eligible
- 34:22to enter the boss fight whenever you
- 34:24want uh by interacting with this wings
- 34:26suit spot next to Pack-a-Punch.
- 34:34[ __ ]
- 34:36Now, let's go beat down I mean free that
- 34:39[ __ ] shadow smith.
- 34:46A few quick tips going into the boss
- 34:48fight. Um, I actually haven't beaten him
- 34:50yet, so that's a work in progress. But
- 34:52overall, he doesn't seem too bad. Uh,
- 34:53he's just got a couple big hits that can
- 34:55kind of insta-kill you if you're not
- 34:57careful. Uh, the general gist though is
- 34:59that zombies will spawn around the arena
- 35:01like normal. Uh, as well as Oni that
- 35:03carry ward flags. You can grab those and
- 35:05create protective barriers and then
- 35:07damage dump on the boss. Uh, aim for the
- 35:09eyes and glowing areas for critical
- 35:10damage. Uh, also there are a couple of
- 35:12those green boon things, and I think one
- 35:14of them actually dropped a level three
- 35:16pack-a-punch and legendary tier weapon
- 35:18upgrade, which was uh, kind of something
- 35:19that caught me off guard. I went in with
- 35:21my weapon super low level just for the
- 35:23hell of it to do the boss fight. I
- 35:24didn't want to spend the time upgrading
- 35:25and everything. Uh, so that was nice.
- 35:27Uh, but again, overall, he seems pretty
- 35:29straightforward. Uh, just watch out for
- 35:30those big hits and the burning ground
- 35:32that he creates.
- 35:38>> So, I'll leave you with that. Um,
- 35:39hopefully this guide helped you get to
- 35:41this point and you enjoyed the video.
- 35:43Uh, if so, a like, subscribe, hitting
- 35:45that hype button is always appreciated.
- 35:47Uh, thank you for watching and we'll
- 35:48catch you in the next one. Bye.
