0:15Oh Lord, tonight we present ourselves,
0:17but we recognize that there is no place
0:19where we can hide from your presence.
0:21There is nowhere we can hide away from
0:23your face. Oh God, if we make our bed in
0:26hell, you are there. If we go to the
0:27highest of the mountains, you are there.
0:29If we hide ourselves in the cliffs of
0:31the rock, you are still there.
0:33Therefore, Lord T9, we do nothing but
0:35come boldly before your throne. We do
0:37nothing but come before you and we
0:39present ourselves broken, battered,
0:41bruised, [music]
0:42disgruntled in all manners of ways,
0:45seeking your mercy, seeking your mercy.
0:47Tonight we're saying, Lord, create in us
0:50a clean heart and renew your steadfast
0:53spirit within us.

2:53I don't have much time, but I want us to
2:55be very intentional tonight
2:58because I recognize that we're very
3:00quick to ask for the outpouring of the
3:02Holy Spirit.
3:04But yet,
3:05even when he does hearken to our
3:08request, we forget the part where we are
3:11still vessels and vessels contain
3:13things. Vessels carry things. Vessel
3:17vessels hold things. In fact, the Bible
3:20will say in 1 Corinthians chapter 2 that
3:22what man knows the things of a man. It
3:25means that every single one of us aside
3:27from the so-called spirituality that we
3:30proclaim, all of us have things. The
3:33Bible says here in Matthew 23:25, it
3:35says, "Woe to you scribes and Pharisees,
3:37hypocrites, for you cleanse the outside
3:40of the cup and the dish, but inside they
3:43are full of extortion and
3:45self-indulgence."
3:48And I'm just giving us a small
3:49exposition to what some of these things
3:51can look like. And I don't want us to be
3:54hypocrites in the presence of the Lord
3:55where we are asking for things that
3:57we're not even qualified for. And I want
4:00us to be very intentional
4:02because I found a certain wave that's
4:04currently going on with believers where
4:07we're getting almost tired. We're
4:09getting fed up with what we claim to
4:12profess. And one thing the Lord said to
4:13me was that we need to completely be
4:16emptied out before there is an
4:18infilling. And until we begin to take
4:21these prayers seriously, we would feel
4:24this sense of drought ongoing. So I want
4:26us to pray.
4:28The Bible says that the Pharisees to
4:32cleanse the outside of the cup and the
4:34dish. What this looks like in our day
4:36and ages, we pray with the loudest
4:39tongues. We quote all the scriptures,
4:42but yet there is no fruits to show forth
4:44what is going on on the inside. There is
4:47no fruits that can testify to what we
4:50are professing. Therefore, the Bible
4:52says that there is a generation who has
4:53a form of godliness, but they deny the
4:56power thereof. I want us to pray from
4:58this scripture. You're going to say that
4:59Lord, in any way that have been so
5:02focused on keeping an image, on washing
5:05the outside of my cup whilst the inside
5:07is dirty, I want you to pray this
5:09prayer. You're saying that Lord, please
5:10wash me out tonight. And this prayer,
5:13what it means is God is going to put you
5:15in the limelight and he's going to
5:17reveal every single thing that is not
5:20right about us because it is part of
5:22Jesus's manifesto that whatsoever his
5:25heavenly father has not planted will be
5:27uprooted. So wherever you are, I want
5:29you to lift up your voice. You're going
5:30to say, "Oh God, tonight I want you to
5:33wash me out. I want you to wash the
5:36inside of me. In the name of Jesus, we
5:38pray." Let us begin to pray.
5:45With all humility, can I ask that we'll
5:47be on our feet as we pray this? It's a
5:50sign of reverence. And I don't want us
5:52to take this for granted.
5:55Just because the atmosphere is solemn
5:57doesn't mean that our hearts cry should
5:58remain solemn.
6:01This is what prevents us from falling
6:03away. The Bible says in the last days,
6:05many will fall away from the faith.
6:07Those who have fallen away from the
6:10faith are those who refuse to confront
6:12the chaos within. So I want you to pray
6:14this prayer. And I can assure you every
6:18single one of us present in this room
6:20has something. We have a dirt. We have
6:23something unclean. We have evils. We
6:26have extortion, self-indulgence
6:28all within our vessels. And until it is
6:31washed out, we will feel the same
6:33frustrations. So wherever you are, I
6:36want you to make this prayer
6:37intentional. Come on Casey, lift up your
6:39voice and pray.

7:05How is it that we are quick to pick the
7:07latest prophecy, but yet we cannot
7:10discern what God is saying about the
7:11state and the condition of our souls?
7:14Lord, I don't want to be blind, neither
7:16do I want to be deaf to the internal
7:18works that you're doing in me. Oh God, I
7:20don't want to be oblivious to the chaos
7:23on the inside of me. So Lord, I need you
7:25to wash me out this day. Lord, you said
7:27unto the Pharisees that they are
7:29hypocrites. You said they are hypocrites
7:31for they preach something and they do
7:33not live what they preach. So Lord,
7:35tonight I ask, oh God, that would you
7:37wash me out. I don't want to be like the
7:39Pharisees who keeps and upholds a
7:42certain image. I perfect the outside of
7:45the cup, but the inside of me is full of
7:47filth. Oh God, you said you are the one
7:50who sees our inward parts. You said your
7:52word is sharper than any two-edged
7:54sword. It goes down to the bone, even
7:57[music] to the marrow, down to the
7:59division of the soul and the spirit. And
8:02it is a discerner of the things and of
8:04the thoughts of the hearts of men. So
8:06Lord, tonight we ask, oh God, that would
8:08you bring your dividing sword, your
8:11sword of division [music] down to the
8:12soul and to our spirit that you would
8:15try the substance wherein is in our
8:17heart. Oh God, try the substance in our
8:20heart. Try it. Try it. Try it by your
8:23[music] sword. Try it by your fire. Your
8:25word says that you do not sit as a
8:27refiner. You said you sit as the refiner
8:30and you will refine us. You said you sit
8:32with the launder of soap. Therefore,
8:34Lord, tonight we ask, oh God, that let
8:37your refinery, let your refinery,
8:39[music] let it burn within us. Oh God,
8:41ignite your flame of fire on the inside
8:43of us. Not a flame of fire to host
8:46conferences, but a flame of fire that
8:48our soul will be pure before you. That
8:51our soul will be pleasing [music] unto
8:53you. That Lord, we will not be
8:54hypocrites in this day and age, lest we
8:57be cast away, lest we shipwreck our
8:59faith. For the Bible says [music] that
9:01there was a man called Damas. And Damas
9:03due to the indul indulgence of this
9:06world. Damas loved the world too much
9:08because he failed to acknowledge the
9:11chaos [music] within. Judas's carot
9:13failed to acknowledge that there was an
9:15internal contradiction [music]
9:17going on in his soul. Therefore, Lord,
9:20tonight we ask, oh God, that would you
9:22sit upon this atmosphere with your
9:24refinest fire and with your soap and
9:27would you go through us? Would you
9:29thresh us? Would you thresh us? Take us
9:31through the threshing floor where you
9:33will see our substance [music] where
9:35nothing can be hid in your sight. Oh
9:37come on Ky present yourself before the
9:39Lord. The Bible says, "Render your
9:41hearts are not your garments." The Lord
9:43says, "These people, they honor me with
9:45their lips, but their hearts are far
9:46from me." But the Lord says that my eyes
9:49sees the hidden things. He says, "He
9:51brings out the shadow of darkness, and
9:53the thing that is hid, he brings it
9:55forth to light.

10:44ask what spirit is that that operates on
10:47your inside? So therefore say, Lord,

10:52as a refiner. Oh God, I want you to sit

11:02This prayer goes far beyond any form of
11:04anointing. What will it profit a man
11:07that he [music] gains the whole world?
11:09WHAT WILL IT PROFIT YOU THAT YOU HAVE A
11:11FORM OF GODLINESS, BUT YET THE INSIDE of
11:14you can never [music] proclaim? Neither
11:16can he show and demonstrate the living
11:19God on the inside of you. Come and say,
11:21Lord, I want you to sit as a refiner. I
11:24want you to sit as a refiner. [music]
11:25The Bible says, whom the Lord loves, he
11:28trusts. Therefore, Lord, I want you to
11:30lay your [music] afflictions on me. Oh,
11:32God, I know it's not easy. I know it's
11:34not easy, but Lord, I do not want to be
11:36a cast away in the last days. Lord, I
11:39have spotted many and the love of many
11:42is waxing cold. Oh God, sit as a [music]
11:44refiner. Lord, I need you to reveal unto
11:47me my iniquities, my iniquities, my soul
11:51coming. Sit [music] on me, sit on me,
11:53sit on me, sit on me like a refiner.

12:12with revival because Jesus said the
12:15words I speak are spirit and life. The
12:17spirit of life must be at work on the

12:27friends, we have no business looking for
12:29a revival. We have no business seeking
12:32[music] anointings and mantels. If the
12:34inside of us is full of self-indulgence,

12:43Lord, say, "Lord, I want you to sit as a
12:46[music] refiner. Try my thoughts. Try my
12:48thoughts. Lord, if there be a any wicked

14:03sin. I realize that holiness is your

14:10said, "Be ye perfect as my father in

14:14lift up your voice. Say, "Lord, sit on
14:16me as a refiner."

58:47On Sunday, we
58:52started looking at
58:56the body, the soul, and the spirit and
58:59how
59:04God
59:06works through
59:09these aspects of our being and how the
59:11enemy also works through how these
59:14function.
59:16The essence was to focus on the
59:20importance of the soul
59:24because if we are dealing with occupying
59:27the territory of our hearts and we are
59:30dealing with the subject of our
59:32emotions,
59:34it simply means that we are
59:38focusing on
59:41the part of our being which is called
59:43the soul.
59:46So we read Genesis 1:26
59:5027 put it on the board. The Bible said,
59:54"And God said,
59:56let us make man in our image,
1:00:02according to our likeness.
1:00:05Let him have dominion
1:00:08and all of these kind of things which
1:00:10we've read and read and read and read
1:00:12and read." So we establish that
1:00:15The first thing that is worth
1:00:17acknowledging is the fact that God
1:00:20created us in his image. He created us
1:00:24in his likeness. I established on Sunday
1:00:27that this is not necessarily about how
1:00:29your face looks. Then God would be the
1:00:32most confusing,
1:00:35you know, image that would exist because
1:00:37all of us look different. So we
1:00:39establish that if we are talking about
1:00:41the image of the and the likeness of
1:00:43God, it's not necessarily the outward
1:00:46disposition in terms of your facial
1:00:49figure. We said that when we talk about
1:00:51the image and the likeness of God. We
1:00:54are talking about
1:00:57how we operate, how we think, how we
1:01:01process.
1:01:03We are talking about the fact that God
1:01:05created us to function like himself.
1:01:09Then we established that before God ever
1:01:13gave you an assignment, before God said,
1:01:15"Let them have dominion,"
1:01:18we were told that we were made first in
1:01:21his image and his light. So we
1:01:23established that before God gave us an
1:01:26assignment, before God gave us, you
1:01:28know, anything to do, before we were
1:01:30given a responsibility, we were first
1:01:32given an identity. Before we were given
1:01:34an assignment, we were given
1:01:36resemblance. In other words, the
1:01:38objective of God concerning the matter
1:01:40of creation was that we think like him,
1:01:45we act like him, we move like him, we do
1:01:50things exactly the way God wants it to
1:01:53be done. And that includes the way we
1:01:55process situations and our emotions.
1:02:00Now in the previous
1:02:05series or services I established the
1:02:08fact that according to Genesis the
1:02:11chapter number two the verse number 7
1:02:13God created you to be a living soul. It
1:02:16means you are an active your soul is
1:02:18active. In other words there's nothing
1:02:21wrong when you have emotions.
1:02:24Emotions were created by God. We saw the
1:02:28God incarnate, the God in human form
1:02:31called Jesus. We saw him exercise
1:02:35different types of emotion. He got angry
1:02:37and whipped people. That was anger.
1:02:41He laughed. He smiled. He wept. He
1:02:46cried. He got anxious.
1:02:50He got into different types of emotions
1:02:55in different spaces and phases of his
1:02:57life. Why? Because man is created to be
1:03:01a living soul. Man is created to be an
1:03:04active soul. So the agenda of God is
1:03:07never for us to numb how we feel. God
1:03:10does not want you to bring you to a
1:03:12place where you don't feel. If you don't
1:03:15feel, then you're not human. You can
1:03:18love because you feel. You can express,
1:03:21you know, um um um um your affection
1:03:25because you feel. When you see me weep,
1:03:28it means I feel. When you see me laugh,
1:03:30it means I feel. When you see me cry, it
1:03:32means I feel. And Jesus Christ, even
1:03:35though he is God, he depicted in his
1:03:38humanly nature, when he saw that his
1:03:40best friend Lazarus or his friend
1:03:41Lazarus had died, he wept. How would
1:03:45Martha and Mary have seen that Jesus was
1:03:48concerned?
1:03:51It's one thing for if I come and Josiah
1:03:55something has happened to you and I just
1:03:56come and like
1:03:59I'm concerned.
1:04:02You can choose to believe it or not.
1:04:04Right? But if I came to you and
1:04:06something happened to you and you saw me
1:04:08crying,
1:04:11I don't need to tell you I'm concerned.
1:04:13By virtue of the emotions, you would
1:04:17understand that this guy, even though
1:04:19he's a pastor, he can sympathize with my
1:04:23infirmities. Are you Are you with me?
1:04:25Are you with me? So we recognize that
1:04:28God gave us emotions [clears throat]
1:04:32for us to be able to express from a
1:04:34deeper place how we feel without even
1:04:36words quantifying it. I don't know but
1:04:39women I don't know what it is for women
1:04:40but for some reason when women are
1:04:42walking down the aisle and they are they
1:04:44their men or husbands today are crying
1:04:47they feel like oh he he loves me
1:04:51I I don't know I DON'T KNOW WHY SOMEBODY
1:04:53LAUGHING somebody crying is an
1:04:56indication that they love you
1:04:59BUT BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN IT MEANS WOMEN
1:05:03FROM AN EMOTIONAL PLACE WHEN THEY SEE A
1:05:05MAN weeping it means means that they
1:05:08understand THAT THIS MAN LOOK THAT MAN
1:05:10CAN TAKE YOU KNOW WHATEVER and say oh
1:05:13joy you know I love you d you can speak
1:05:15a thousand words but the fact that you
1:05:17are shedding tears without no word EVEN
1:05:20MEANS THAT THEY BELIEVE YOU LOVE THEM
1:05:22DEEPLY because of the emotions you ARE
1:05:24SHEDDING WHY BECAUSE GOD gave us
1:05:27emotions
1:05:28for us to be able to EXPRESS FROM A
1:05:30DEEPER PLACE THE MOMENT YOU BEGIN TO SEE
1:05:32THAT SOMEBODY is shedding emotions it's
1:05:34an indication that it's not just a
1:05:36matter of rhetoric It's coming from a
1:05:37deeper place of the heart. Are you here
1:05:39with me? Are you with me? This I was
1:05:41going to say this morning, this evening.
1:05:42ARE YOU HERE? SO THE AGENDA OF GOD IS
1:05:45NOT THAT WE SHOULD NUMB our emotions.
1:05:48And sometimes majority of us think that
1:05:50you know you know the only way to prove
1:05:52that I'm I'm matured and I'm tough is
1:05:54that my emotions must die. No,
1:05:58maturity is not an indication that you
1:05:59have killed your emotions. If God wanted
1:06:02your emotions killed, he would not have
1:06:03created you a living soul. It means your
1:06:06soul IS ACTIVE. THIS SCRIPTURE FOR ME
1:06:10JAMES 11:17 is is is is one of the
1:06:16which which scripture does it say Elijah
1:06:18was a man subject to is James is it
1:06:205:17? Give me that scripture. Give me
1:06:23that scripture. ELIJAH WAS A MAN. THIS
1:06:26THIS scripture this scripture IT SAYS
1:06:30THAT ELIJAH WAS A man with a nature like
1:06:33house.
1:06:35I like I like the way the the the King
1:06:38James version puts it. He said subject
1:06:41to like passions. He said Elijah WAS A
1:06:45MAN WHO WAS SUBJECT TO LIKE PASSIONS as
1:06:48we are. In other WORDS, SOMETIMES WHEN
1:06:50YOU READ ABOUT ELIJAH, YOU CAN THINK
1:06:51this guy, he doesn't cry.
1:06:55So you recognize that Elijah expressing
1:06:58anxiety
1:07:00in [clears throat]
1:07:01first kings 19 is what makes you know
1:07:03that even after calling the fire for you
1:07:04are still human.
1:07:06You understand? When when we share the
1:07:09grace and we put off these lights and I
1:07:12drop the mic and I'm home. I'm a man who
1:07:16is subject to light passions.
1:07:21It means I weep, I cry, I get angry, I
1:07:25get mad. There are days I'm extremely
1:07:28happy. There are days I'm extremely sad.
1:07:30There are days I'm extremely angry.
1:07:33WALKING IN THE POWER of God does not
1:07:36dehumanize you.

1:07:45YOUR SOUL to be active
1:07:49and man became A LIVING SOUL. ELIJAH ELS

1:08:01WHO CANNOT SYMPATHIZE with your
1:08:03infirmities.
1:08:05IT [screaming] MEANS THAT THE POWER OF

1:08:12deconstruct their emotions. BECAUSE WHEN
1:08:15YOU TAKE EMOTIONS OUT OF A MAN, he's a

1:08:25emotions out of a man, he's what? He's a

1:08:29SO THE PROBLEM HAS NOT been
1:08:32about your emotions.
1:08:36IT'S HOW YOU STEWARD THEM.

1:08:41CONTROLLING YOU OR YOU CONTROL your
1:08:42emotions.
1:08:44That is where the REAL DEAL ABOUT BOYS
1:08:47and kids,
1:08:50MATURE AND infants come in.
1:08:54SO THE MATURED MAN IS THAT MAN WHO walks
1:08:59according to the measurer of the stature
1:09:03of the image
1:09:06or the fullness of who Christ is. IN
1:09:09OTHER WORDS, IF you want to LOOK AT THE
1:09:11PERFECTION OF A MAN, you are talking
1:09:13about a type of man that walks in the
1:09:16stature of Christ. And what is this
1:09:18stature of Christ? It's that this man,
1:09:20regardless of how he felt, always got to
1:09:23a place where he said, "Nevertheless,"
1:09:26in other words, regardless of how I
1:09:28feel, I will not act out of your word.
1:09:32IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW I'M FEELING, I'M
1:09:35NOT GOING TO GO out of LINE OF YOUR
1:09:38WORD. IN OTHER WORDS, WHAT I WOULD
