5:50for our minds
5:53because we understand or you would
5:54realize that
5:56as I said the quality of your mind is
5:58what would determine the quality of the
6:00life that you live and your thoughts is
6:04what determines the actions and the
6:06choices that you make. I believe it was
6:09about a month or two ago where I was
6:12just [music] pondering on certain life
6:14circumstances and certain um life
6:17situations. And one thing that um I just
6:20heard the Holy Spirit whispered to me
6:22was your unhealed choices or your
6:27unhealed decisions are the cause of
6:29somebody's undeserved trauma. Your
6:33unhealed decisions, your unhealed
6:36choices are the cause of somebody else's
6:41undeserved
6:42trauma. [music] And it was really making
6:45me think because you would realize that
6:47there are a lot of situations that we
6:49face, a lot of circumstances that we
6:51face that may not have necessarily been
6:54our fault but have affected us in some
6:58way, shape or form and have allowed
7:02certain parts of our souls to become
7:04fractured. Have allowed certain parts of
7:07our souls to become
7:14distorted, if that's a good word to use,
7:16or has just allowed certain areas of our
7:19souls to be broken.
7:23And when we continue to live life
7:26[music] with these fractured parts of
7:29our souls, they affect the decisions and
7:32the choices that we make. And those
7:36decisions and choices that we make do
7:37not only affect us but affect the people
7:41around us. And you would realize that it
7:43just becomes a cycle because even though
7:46those unhealed decisions were not your
7:49fault, it is still affecting somebody
7:52else. And so it was somebody's
7:56unhealed trauma that now caused your
7:59unhealed decisions. And now your
8:02unhealed decisions are now causing
8:04somebody else's undeserved trauma. And
8:07then it becomes a cycle until you come
8:10to the place that you intentionally
8:13intentionally say to yourself, I'm not
8:15going to continue to live an unhealed
8:18life. I'm not going to continue to allow
8:21my soul to remain in this fractured and
8:24broken state. It is only until you come
8:28to this place of making that intentional
8:31decision that I am going to heal from
8:34the brokenness of my soul. And so I go
8:38back to the first point that I made that
8:40the quality of your mind, the quality of
8:44your thoughts will determine the quality
8:46of your life.
8:48And you would realize that this is one
8:51of the problems of society in general.
8:54The reason why we have such a broken
8:56society is because we have broken
8:59people. The reason why we have such a
9:01broken, you know, family system or
9:03broken family institution is because we
9:06have broken men and women who have
9:09become mothers and fathers. And this is
9:11why we now, you know, create broken
9:13children. This is now why we create
9:16broken students. And so I want us to
9:19pray because how do we battle this and
9:21how do we overcome this? Romans chapter
9:2412 the verse number two the Bible would
9:26say do not conform to the patterns of
9:29this world. Do not conform to the
9:32patterns [music] that you have been
9:33accustomed to. Do not be conformed to
9:36the patterns that you have allowed to
9:38shape you but be transformed by the
9:41renewing of your mind. by the renewing
9:44of your mind so that you may be able to
9:47prove that which is the good,
9:50acceptable, and perfect will of God. And
9:53so this scripture would also teach us
9:55that it is only a renewed mindset that
9:59has the ability to make the right
10:01decisions. It is only a renewed mind
10:04that has the ability to discern the will
10:07of God, to discern not just the good
10:10will, not just the acceptable will, but
10:12the perfect will of God. And so it makes
10:16us understand that it is your mind, your
10:19mindset, the state of your mind, the
10:22state of your soul that enables you to
10:25discern the perfect will of God and to
10:29make the right godly and aligned
10:32decisions. And so I want us to pray. We
10:35are still praying for our minds and we
10:37are simply asking that the Holy Spirit
10:39would renew our mind. Any mindset that
10:43we have allowed to shape us as a as a as
10:46a people, any mindset that we have
10:49allowed to shape our character, any
10:51mindset that we have allowed to, you
10:54know, shape our personalities, our
10:56mindset, our perceptions. Tonight, we
10:59are asking that the Lord will begin to
11:01renew our mind in the mighty name of
11:04Jesus. Let us lift up our voices and
11:06begin to pray this prayer.

11:57Oh, Father, tonight may you renew our

12:18shaped by what we have experienced in

12:35may we be transformed by the renewing of
12:38our minds, by the renewal of our minds.

23:21the Bible says beloved I pray [music]
23:23that you may prosper in all things and
23:26be in health just as your soul prospers.
23:31Beloved, [music] I pray that you may
23:34prosper in all things and be in health
23:37just [music] as your soul prospers. And
23:41so this is the apostle John [music]
23:44speaking here and he is praying a prayer
23:48and he is saying or the prayer [music]
23:49is that we would prosper in all things
23:54that we would be in health just as
23:57[music]
23:58our soul prospers. And for John to say
24:02just as our soul prospers, it means that
24:06the health of our soul
24:09or
24:11our physical health should I say follows
24:14the pattern of our soul health. For John
24:19to say he wants us to be in health,
24:23to prosper in all things just as our
24:25soul prospers.
24:28The health of our physical being
24:32would [music] ultimately follow the
24:35health of our soul. So if your soul is
24:40not healthy, if your soul is broken, if
24:43your soul is fractured, if your soul is
24:46just not in a healthy state, be rest
24:49assured that even your physical state
24:51will begin to follow [music] that
24:54pattern.
24:56will begin to follow that pattern. And I
24:58want us to pray a [music] prayer because
25:01he says just as your soul prospers and I
25:04want us to pray that our soul would
25:06experience
25:08the highest level of prosperity. The
25:11Bible would make us understand that
25:13there are levels to prosperity.
25:15In the book of Genesis, the Bible would
25:17say that, [music] you know, Isaac began
25:20to prosper and he continued prospering
25:23until he became prosperous. It shows
25:27[music] us three different levels of
25:29prosperity. And that's not just
25:31prosperity in terms of wealth or money,
25:34but even the prosperity of our souls.
25:37[music] And so I want us to pray that
25:40even as there are levels to prosperity
25:44that our soul would experience the
25:47highest level of prosperity. If any one
25:50of us finds that our soul is in a state
25:54whereby it is downcast, whether it is
25:56broken, whether it is fractured, [music]
25:58I want tonight to be the night where we
26:01pray and we ask that the Lord would
26:04cause our soul to experience [music] the
26:07highest level that is available when it
26:10comes to prosperity in the mighty
26:12[music] name of Jesus. Let's lift up our
26:14voices and begin to pray this prayer.

26:50you pray that above all things, we will
26:53prosper in all things and be in health
26:56just as just as just as our soul
27:00prospers. Father, tonight we are praying
27:03uh for the health of our souls, for the

27:12level of prosperity that is available.
27:16that our souls would begin to prosper,
27:18oh God, uh, in the highest level of
27:21prosperity uh, that has been made
27:24available unto us as your sons and as

27:31ourselves in a downcast, broken,
27:35pitiable state. Father, may tonight be
27:38the night where our soul finds
27:40redemption. Uh, may tonight be the night
27:42where our soul finds redemption.
27:45May tonight be the night where our soul
27:48finds the healing that it has been
27:50seeking for. May tonight be the night
27:52that our soul finds the deliverance that
27:55it has been seeking for. Father, may
27:58tonight be the night, oh God, where we
28:01experience the highest level of
28:03prosperity within our souls in the name
28:06of Jesus.

1:07:47Now technically we want to ensure that
1:07:50as men and women that God is sending us
1:07:52out there to occupy
1:07:55that first and foremost we are occupied
1:07:57that we are sane that we are sound
1:08:01that we are advancing the frontiers of
1:08:03God's kingdom from a healthy place.
1:08:07So last week we took it a bit step a
1:08:10step further
1:08:12into looking at the concept of
1:08:16emotions.
1:08:18The objective is to understand them
1:08:21number one and number two regulate them
1:08:27in the right direction.
1:08:32Let's start with this scripture third
1:08:33John.
1:08:35Let's look at the verse number one and
1:08:37two.
1:08:41Third John.
1:08:44The verse number one and two
1:08:47says to the elder.
1:08:50It means that this letter Apostle
1:08:53Abraham has been written to an elder
1:08:55prophet Josiah Sam. He said to the
1:09:00elder, the elder to the beloved gas
1:09:04whom I love.
1:09:07In truth, it means that Paul John is
1:09:11saying that my love for gas is sincere.
1:09:15So he said, go back, go back, go back,
1:09:17go back, go back, go back. Hey, go back,
1:09:19go back to that scripture. So he said
1:09:21the elder
1:09:23then he said to my beloved gas whom I
1:09:26love in truth. So this is a letter being
1:09:29addressed to an elder

1:09:39written to a man of rank. This is a
1:09:43letter written to a man of stature in
1:09:45the church. SO JOHN IS WRITING THIS
1:09:48LETTER TO GAS WHO IS AN ELDER. Then he
1:09:51goes to the verse number TWO AND SAID
1:09:52BELOVED IN OTHER words gas
1:09:57beloved he said I pray that you prosper.
1:10:03I pray that you may prosper in all
1:10:05things and be in health just as your
1:10:09soul prospers. NOW IT'S VERY IMPORTANT
1:10:12THAT WE UNDERSTAND this scripture from
1:10:15context.
1:10:16that this letter is being addressed to
1:10:20an elder
1:10:22and IN THIS LETTER BEING ADDRESSED TO AN
1:10:24ELDER PAUL IS SAYING TO THE ELDER THERE
1:10:27ARE THREE AREAS BECAUSE I LOVE YOU IN
1:10:29TRUTH I want to see function he said
1:10:32first and foremost I want you to prosper
1:10:34prosper in your business prosper in your
1:10:36endeavors prosper in your assignment
1:10:38prosper in your calling prosper in YOUR
1:10:40MISSION HE SAID NUMBER TWO I WANT YOU TO
1:10:42BE HEALTHY GAS THEN NUMBER THREE HE SAID
1:10:45I WANT YOUR SOUL TO PROSPER. NOW
1:10:49UNDERSTAND THIS. IT MEANS THAT THIS
1:10:51MATTER OF THE soul nobody IS EXEMPT.
1:10:56THIS MATTER OF YOU KNOW THE STATE OF THE
1:10:59HEALTH OF OUR SOUL IS NOT IT'S NOT IT'S

1:11:37BELOVED CAN WRITE TO ELDERS AND CAN
1:11:39WRITE TO FATHERS AND CAN WRITE TO SONS,
1:11:42IT MEANS THAT JOHN HAS AN UNDERSTANDING
1:11:44THAT THERE ARE MATTERS WITHIN THE CHURCH
1:11:46THAT MUST BE ADDRESSED to kids. BUT AT
1:11:49THIS POINT IN TIME, HE'S ADDRESSING
1:11:51PROSPERITY ON ALL FRONTS. AND HE SAID,
1:11:54I'M WRITING THIS TO GAS THE ELDER.
1:11:58IT MEANS THAT WE CANNOT GET TO A PLACE
1:12:01WHERE WE SAY WE'VE MATURED SO MUCH in
1:12:04the things of God the regulation of our

1:12:29BUT YOU ARE CRYING IN YOUR BEDROOM.
1:12:34YOUR RELATIONSHIPS ARE FALLING APART.
1:12:38You are struggling. IT MEANS THAT a man
1:12:42cannot rise beyond the state of his
1:12:45soul.
1:12:47It's not possible.

1:13:36SUCCESSES AND FAILURE. SO NOW JOHN IS
1:13:40WRITING TO AN ELDER. HOW MANY OF HOW
1:13:43MANY OF US CAN GO TO our mothers and our
1:13:46fathers and say, "Let's have a
1:13:48conversation about your emotions."

1:14:09this you this little boy you come to

1:17:36prosper in that place.
1:17:41THE PROSPERITY OF YOUR SOUL IS not
1:17:43money. The prosperity OF YOUR SOUL IS
1:17:45WHAT TRULY determines the maturity of a
1:17:47man.
1:17:49When you prosper, it doesn't necessarily
1:17:51you can prosper in your business, it
1:17:53doesn't mean you are mature. THE MATURED
1:17:55MAN, WHEN THE BIBLE talks about tells,
1:17:58you remember Ephesians chapter number
1:18:00four, you know, you know, you remember,
1:18:02you know, he gave some to be, you know,
1:18:04this and that and that, for the
1:18:05equipping of the saints, for the work of
1:18:07the ministry, for the edifying of the
1:18:09body of Christ, you know, you know, he
1:18:12talks all of these things. He said that
1:18:13THROUGH WE ALL COME INTO THE KNOWLEDGE
1:18:15OF THE SON OF GOD INTO A PERFECT MAN.
1:18:18HOW DO WE DETERMINE YOU BEING PERFECT?
1:18:20WE SAID THAT WORD PERFECT in the Greek
1:18:22is WHAT IS CALLED TELLIO. WHAT IS THE
1:18:25EVIDENCE OF a man who is perfect? HE
1:18:28SAID SO THAT
1:18:31THE ESSENCE OF OUR MATURITY SAID SO THAT
1:18:34WE will no longer
1:18:37be tossed TO AND FRO. SO IT MEANS THAT
1:18:41WHEN WE SAY SOMEBODY HAS REACHED A STATE
1:18:43OF MATURITY, it means that you know you
1:18:47know you know when a ship is anchored.
1:18:51Yeah. When a ship now comes to the shore
1:18:54the ship is ANCHORED THERE IS SOMETHING
1:18:58THAT CONNECTS the ship to a certain
1:19:00station and it is anchored SO THAT WHEN
1:19:03THE WAVES ARE TOSSING THE SHIP STILL
1:19:06STANDS IN PLACE. WHEN HE SAY THAT SO
1:19:08THAT WE NO LONGER ARE TOSSED TO AND FRO
1:19:11BY EVERY WIND of doctrine, he said that
1:19:13the evidence OF OUR TENIOUSNESS, THE
1:19:16EVIDENCE OF OUR MATURITY IS THAT WE ARE
1:19:19STABLE AND NO MAN WOULD BE STABLE
1:19:22outside of their emotions.
1:19:32And I told you I told you
1:19:36that when I'm even talking about these
1:19:38emotions, I'm not even just talking
1:19:39about negative emotions.
1:19:43The downfall of people,
1:19:45some is that they became too happy.
1:19:47Somebody lost her virginity because she
1:19:49became too happy.
1:19:53John the Baptist died because Herod
1:19:55Antipas became too happy.
1:19:59HEROD ANTIPASS at at the ecstasy
1:20:04of of his joy. He made promises that
1:20:08costed a prophet his life.
1:20:11So I said to you last week, be careful
1:20:14how much you promise when you're happy.
1:20:17And be careful the words you utter when
1:20:19you're angry because happiness and anger
1:20:22are all emotions and they don't last.
1:20:30So Paul wrote to the church
1:20:33in Rome. We read in Romans 12:3, he said
1:20:37we should be sober. He said he said we
1:20:40should not think of oursel more highly
1:20:41than we ought to. Then he said we should
1:20:43be sober. And I SAID WHEN WE SAY
1:20:45SOMEBODY IS SOBER, IT MEANS the person
1:20:47IS NOT INTOXICATED. SO IT means that we
1:20:50can get to a place OF EMOTIONAL
1:20:52INTOXICATION WHERE we lose soberness
1:20:54because we are so happy.
1:20:57Do you know how many people lose things
1:20:59at weddings?
1:21:03On my wedding they had to tell my wife
1:21:04like yo we chilling but we observing.
1:21:12We are happy but we observing. The day
1:21:15some marriages ended is on the wedding
1:21:17day. AND BECAUSE EVERYBODY IS HAPPY, YOU
1:21:19WOULDN'T EVEN think an enemy will be
1:21:21there.
1:21:23Because everybody IS IN SPIRITUAL
1:21:26ECSTASY, you are in deep emotional
1:21:31hype.
1:21:33Self-control is is to be excited and
1:21:37still not lose your senses. Self-control
1:21:40is to be angry and still not LOSE YOUR
1:21:42SENSES. SELF-CONTROL IS TO BE SO SAD AND
1:21:46STILL NOT LOSE YOUR SENSES. YOU ARE NOT
1:21:48TOSSED TO AND FRO WHETHER BY ECSTASY or
1:21:51by loss.
1:21:56THE MATURED CHRISTIAN IS NOT THE ONE WHO
1:21:58SPEAKS IN TONGUES. THE MATURED CHRISTIAN
1:22:00IS NOT THE ONE WHO RUN CONFERENCES. THE
1:22:02MATURED CHRISTIAN IS THE ONE WHOSE STATE
1:22:05OF CERTAINTY DOES NOT CHANGE REGARDLESS
1:22:08OF WHAT HE'S EXPERIENCING.
1:22:12I told you LAST WEEK THAT JESUS CHRIST
1:22:15SHOWED EMOTIONS. HE WEPT, HE CRIED, YOU
1:22:18KNOW, HE FELT SAD, HE BECAME ANXIOUS.
1:22:20BUT WHEN IT MATTERED THE MOST AND HE HAD
1:22:23TO MAKE DECISIONS, THE MAN WHO HAD
1:22:26ANXIETY SAID TO HIMSELF, HE SAID,
1:22:28"FATHER, NEVERTHELESS, not my will."
1:22:30THAT IS A MAN THAT IN THE STATE OF
1:22:34EMOTIONAL HIGHNESS and pig, he still
1:22:37could say, "Lord, I want your will.
1:22:42Some of us when we are angry we say put
1:22:45the Bible aside
1:22:48when when when we are sad we tell people

1:22:54Maturity is your ability to subject
1:22:58yourself to God's will irrespective of
1:23:00how you feel.

1:26:31ENCOURAGED HIMSELF." DO YOU KNOW WHAT it
1:26:33means to encourage himself? It means
1:26:35David was saying, "Yo, David, you got

1:26:41to stone you, but you got this
1:26:44D, David." Because in that moment, THERE
1:26:48WERE NOT FRIENDS TO COME AND SAY, "OH,

1:26:52IT'S GOING TO BE OKAY." NO, NO, NO, NO,
1:26:54NO. There's a place in maturity that
1:26:57WHEN A MAN REACHES, HE UNDERSTANDS THAT
1:27:00HE CAN HAVE CONVERSATIONS with himself.
1:27:06SO WHEN DAVID FOUND HIMSELF IN A PLACE,
1:27:09HE LOOKED WITHIN AND SAID, "WHY ARE you
1:27:11downcast? Oh my soul." He said, "Trust
1:27:14in them."
1:27:20THAT SAME MAN WHEN HE GOT TO A PLACE
1:27:23WHERE PHIL WHY ARE YOU DONCAST OH MY
1:27:25SOUL HE SAID WHY ARE YOU DISQUING WITHIN

2:09:40mature.
2:09:49Matter happened. Somebody come to tell
2:09:51you, "Oh, I met this person here." AND
2:09:53YOU JUST, "HEY, WHERE DID YOU GO?" And
2:09:56all of a sudden, you were all up in the
2:09:58air. Maybe it just it Do you know how
2:10:01Jael killed?
2:10:12She offered the enemy milk. Offered the
2:10:15enemy a place to sleep. That is extreme
2:10:18self-control.
2:10:21That's extreme.
2:10:25It means people with self-control are
2:10:27dangerous.

2:10:32what they are conceding because because

2:12:49When you read Matthew 4,
2:12:53the three temptations of Jesus, every
2:12:55one of them was predicated on these
2:12:56emotions. Number one, you're hungry.
2:12:58You're feeling some type of thing.
2:13:00Number two, look, I'm offering you all
2:13:01of this. Oh, I'm excited. B. Number
2:13:04three, oh, you know, I'm I'm probing
2:13:06your ego. You know, jump
2:13:09every aspect of But in everything, Jesus
2:13:12always had an answer. No. And if you
2:13:14look at the three temptations, the
2:13:17secret to every answer was no.
2:13:22Even though he had the capacity to prove
2:13:25himself, he said no.
2:13:39Unregulated emotions is making somebody
2:13:42say things they don't have to say.
2:13:43Unregulated emotions are letting people
2:13:45have Bible studies AT 2:00 A.M.
2:13:47UNREGULATED EMOTIONS ARE LEADING PEOPLE
2:13:50INTO SPIRITUAL COMPROMISE. UNREGULATED
2:13:53emotions means somebody is sleeping with
2:13:55somebody tonight.

2:19:16speaking to a young lady now in this
2:19:18week who is extremely distressed because
2:19:22of situation she's going through.
2:19:25And she said, "Pastor,
2:19:27the days have been unbearable with
2:19:29stress.
2:19:31She said that that there are two knots
2:19:34that have developed in my neck and now
2:19:37has come into my shoulder because of how
2:19:40stressed this week. She's there's
2:19:42literally knots that have developed from
2:19:45her neck to her shoulders this week
2:19:47because she's stressed. And she said to
2:19:50me, I need to go and find a massage
2:19:52person because my neck is hurting. It
2:19:55means that your emotions can affect how
2:19:59your body feels.
2:20:03It means THAT YOU CAN GAS. YOU CANNOT
2:20:06PROSPER IN YOUR HEALTH WITHOUT THE
2:20:09PROSPERITY OF your soul.
2:20:15So prosper,
2:20:17BE IN HEALTH AND LET YOUR SOUL PROSPER
2:20:20BECAUSE ALL OF THESE THREE ARE INTERLIN.
2:20:28There's a direct correlation between
2:20:30stress and high blood pressure.
2:20:32People are having stroke because they
2:20:34are stressed.
2:20:36Because the more stressed you are, your
2:20:38kidneys and your heart is
2:20:40overfunctioning.
2:20:44SOME PEOPLE ARE HAVING HIGH BLOOD
2:20:46PRESSURE BECAUSE THEY GET ANGRY QUICKLY.
2:21:01That is why that is why stress,
2:21:06depression and all of these kind of
2:21:08things are more dangerous in our times
2:21:09than cancer. When I was growing up the
2:21:11most dangerous sicknesses were HIV,
2:21:14cancer. Now, now anybody in the HR
2:21:18department will tell you when I used to
2:21:20work in in the finance industry, our HR
2:21:23team would tell us if somebody comes and
2:21:24say they have cancer and they don't come
2:21:26to work for one week, you can dismiss
2:21:27them.
2:21:30But if somebody come to tell you they
2:21:31have depression
2:21:34and is clinically diagnosed, they can be
2:21:36off from work for six. You don't have
2:21:39any right to dismiss them. There were
2:21:42people that got away with depression and
2:21:45maintained their jobs and the company
2:21:47paid them and the NHS paid them and
2:21:49people that had cancer and other things
2:21:52were dismissed because we've COME TO
2:21:54UNDERSTAND IN OUR TIME that these unseen
2:21:58things have a adverse impact on our body
2:22:01that we think.
2:22:05It means if you don't regulate your
2:22:07emotions you die early.
2:22:09Anything
2:22:12and everything can't make you mad.

2:22:16out OF CHARACTER. YOU CANNOT BE THAT
