20. 0:55i'm james robinson betty and i'm just
21. 0:56thrilled to talk to let me just say this
22. 0:58i emphasize what you're going to hear is
23. 1:01really important now let me tell you how
24. 1:02important it is
25. 1:04it's important for everybody you love
26. 1:06it's important if you care about
27. 1:07yourself
28. 1:09betty you remember years ago when i went
29. 1:12to speak to 1.4 million men
30. 1:15in what was called stand in the gap
31. 1:17promise keepers
32. 1:19uh let just just look at this picture
33. 1:20and listen to jack hayford
34. 1:22interesting how this baptist and this
35. 1:25pentecostal
36. 1:26and all of us suddenly showing you that
37. 1:28god's family can be won
38. 1:30just take a quick look and then you're
39. 1:32going to meet the new
40. 1:34head of promise keepers just watch this
41. 1:37and
42. 1:37i'm going to introduce you to ken
43. 1:38harrison in the moment watch
44. 1:40everybody say in jesus name

46. 1:46with us right now
47. 1:48in your heart
48. 1:51do you love the lord would you say i
49. 1:54love you lord
50. 1:57i love your church i love my family
51. 2:03i love the loss i love the world
52. 2:08i love my enemies my heart is full
53. 2:13now jesus said out of the abundance of
54. 2:16your heart
55. 2:17your mouth will speak you will express
56. 2:20what's inside your heart
57. 2:23all day long your heart has been filled
58. 2:25and thrilled with the glory of god's
59. 2:27presence
60. 2:28i called my wife a few moments ago in
61. 2:30dallas
62. 2:31she said james the whole house is full
63. 2:33of the glory of god
64. 2:39she said the glory of god is on the
65. 2:41television station
66. 2:42the glory of god is on the news
67. 2:47jesus is being exalted
68. 2:54to god be the glory
69. 3:00and that's what it's all about 1.4
70. 3:03million man i walked out on the platform
71. 3:04with coach mccartney
72. 3:07tony evans and jack hayford before all
73. 3:10the other speakers got there
74. 3:12and tears welled up in my eyes i looked
75. 3:14at the others and there were tears in
76. 3:15their eyes
77. 3:17i said look god is looking down and
78. 3:19saying look at my kids look at my
79. 3:21look at my guys look at my family he and
80. 3:24jesus were talking about what they were
81. 3:26saying
82. 3:28ken harrison you never thought you'd be
83. 3:31connected
84. 3:32from being a police officer and you went
85. 3:36into
86. 3:36business in real estate and you became
87. 3:39unbelievably successful and wealthy
88. 3:42then you were asked to take over an
89. 3:44organization
90. 3:45where people want to give to charities
91. 3:47and they want to guard their resources
92. 3:49wisely
93. 3:50and you headed that up and helped it
94. 3:52grow and then all of a sudden
95. 3:55somebody asked you to do something with
96. 3:57promise keepers
97. 3:58following something and i'm just telling
98. 4:00you these are things i know
99. 4:02that you wanted to retire
100. 4:06ski and hike and you were located in
101. 4:09castle pines and between denver and
102. 4:12colorado springs
103. 4:14and god said you weren't going to do
104. 4:16that so what did he let you know you
105. 4:18were going to do
106. 4:19and then you hear about the promise
107. 4:21keeper's situation
108. 4:22well you know you've heard me tell this
109. 4:24story i was praying
110. 4:26really in the spirit just really you
111. 4:28know those moments when you have you
112. 4:29wish you could be on the mountain top
113. 4:30with the lord where he's speaking to you
114. 4:32and
115. 4:32and all of a sudden he said ken by name
116. 4:36i did not
117. 4:37put you through everything i did and
118. 4:38teach you everything i did so you could
119. 4:39ski and hike for the rest of your life
120. 4:41which was my plan and i said lord what
121. 4:45do you want me to do
122. 4:45and he said are you willing to be as
123. 4:47ambitious for my kingdom as you were for
124. 4:48your kingdom
125. 4:50and i in not one of my greatest moments
126. 4:52said i don't know
127. 4:55he said uh be careful of your answer
128. 4:57it's gonna cost you your life and i
129. 4:58i talked to the lord for about two hours
130. 5:00i just said i
131. 5:01tired of leadership tired of um
132. 5:05firing people being sued stabbed in the
133. 5:07back i just tired of people and when i
134. 5:09finally got done whining at him
135. 5:11and said yeah lord whatever you want he
136. 5:12said i'll tell you what i have for you
137. 5:13when you're ready
138. 5:14and then three more years went by where
139. 5:16i just learned humility and learned to
140. 5:18seek him and learn closeness with him
141. 5:19and finally when
142. 5:20promise keepers came along i didn't see
143. 5:22it i didn't know it i didn't want
144. 5:24anything to do with it and god reminded
145. 5:26me i said remember that conversation we
146. 5:27had that night in your closet
147. 5:30this was it my men need to be woken up
148. 5:33so here we are well we want to make sure
149. 5:35all of you know that
150. 5:37there's no attempt to resurrect promise
151. 5:39keepers
152. 5:40they had hundreds of stadium and
153. 5:41coliseum meetings
154. 5:43not only all over the united states but
155. 5:44all over the world and it was men coming
156. 5:47together at the invitation of a coach
157. 5:49who had won a national championship who
158. 5:51faced a lot of challenges himself but he
159. 5:53really
160. 5:53somehow inspired men to seek god and to
161. 5:56become promised
162. 5:57keepers you and i know ken that men are
163. 6:01not to lord over anything and the lord
164. 6:03is to be their lord
165. 6:04and if they do what god wants them to be
166. 6:06doing they're going to be
167. 6:08leading wisely under the direction of
168. 6:10the lord god almighty
169. 6:12well that was beginning to happen with
170. 6:13these men and they were beginning to
171. 6:15come become like a family
172. 6:16and it ended with that stand in the gap
173. 6:19where we all came
174. 6:20together to say to america let's be men
175. 6:22of god let's be the examples god wants
176. 6:24us to be
177. 6:25starting with our families in our
178. 6:26communities of course in our churches
179. 6:28in other words let's look like the
180. 6:30family of the perfect father
181. 6:32now we don't know why suddenly it's just
182. 6:35like it
183. 6:36it looks like it faded and here's one of
184. 6:38the things that i've tried to make clear
185. 6:39very clear
186. 6:40there is no movement other than the move
187. 6:42of god through the one force on this
188. 6:45earth
189. 6:45the gates of hell cannot be effective
190. 6:48against
191. 6:49that's the church of the living god it
192. 6:52is
193. 6:52that church that force not any
194. 6:55organization or
195. 6:56part of the church that you suddenly let
196. 6:59replace the church
197. 7:00so when we're talking about promise
198. 7:01keepers we're talking about men
199. 7:04doing what those men were seeing was
200. 7:06important and
201. 7:07in faith you believe god wanted you to
202. 7:10ask for a tnt stadium which is a very
203. 7:13well-known stadium where dallas used to
204. 7:15have a football team
205. 7:16played there and people knew about them
206. 7:17maybe again someday here's the deal
207. 7:20we want to see men come together in the
208. 7:22presence of god
209. 7:23to become the examples and leaders that
210. 7:26love their wives the way god wants them
211. 7:28to be loved
212. 7:30that wives want to be loved and have a
213. 7:32man that's a man they want to be treated
214. 7:33like a queen but not by a pawn
215. 7:35by a king that loves the king king of
216. 7:38kings
217. 7:39and love them leave the children
218. 7:40properly i believe the stage is set for
219. 7:43the greatest move of god
220. 7:44in the lives of the people in the church
221. 7:46and with men
222. 7:48ken is that i'm just going to ask you
223. 7:50point blank are we trying to bring back
224. 7:51promise keepers are we trying to see the
225. 7:54god that
226. 7:55moved them under his control
227. 7:58make the powerful impact the church
228. 8:01should make
229. 8:02on everything on god's planet that's
230. 8:04such an important point we're not trying
231. 8:06to bring back a ministry we're not
232. 8:07trying to bring back the 90s
233. 8:09we're trying to wake our men up because
234. 8:11our women and children are
235. 8:12are depending on our men waking up
236. 8:14because when men are screwed up it's
237. 8:15women and children who suffer
238. 8:17the church needs men to be strong they
239. 8:19need to be reminded of who they are in
240. 8:21christ
241. 8:22that they are kings they are son of god
242. 8:24and as when it comes to leadership it's
243. 8:26servant leadership
244. 8:27we're to lead our wives like christ
245. 8:29leads the church
246. 8:30which is to love them and to give our
247. 8:32lives up for them um we got to stop
248. 8:34arguing with each other and we got to
249. 8:35start coming back together as who we are
250. 8:37we're beggars
251. 8:38telling other beggars where we found
252. 8:39bread christ's grace is good enough for
253. 8:42you
254. 8:42for me and for everybody else that's
255. 8:44going to be in that stadium that's the
256. 8:45message we got to get out
257. 8:47and when we do when we start acting like
258. 8:49who god
259. 8:50said we can be when we're born again and
260. 8:52change from the inside and filled with
261. 8:54the holy spirit
262. 8:56the whole church the whole world is
263. 8:57blessed by that
264. 8:59betty what do you think about you know
265. 9:00you people have said they
266. 9:02they believe we love each other we're
267. 9:04crazy about each other we've been
268. 9:05married
269. 9:0657 years we're more in love than we have
270. 9:08ever been and we went together four
271. 9:09years before we married so we've been
272. 9:11together
273. 9:11over 60 years i'm crazy about you but i
274. 9:14wouldn't have made it without you
275. 9:16you became the source of strength but
276. 9:18how important is it to you to know that
277. 9:21that i loved you and you could help me
278. 9:23learn we can learn together how
279. 9:24important is for men
280. 9:26to really come to god and learn how to
281. 9:28love their wives the way women want to
282. 9:30be loved
283. 9:31and inspired and blessed and lead the
284. 9:33children how important is that to you
285. 9:35and
286. 9:35how important do you think it is in our
287. 9:36nation i'm very excited about what god
288. 9:38has put on your heart ken
289. 9:40to really seek him first and then step
290. 9:42by step let god
291. 9:43guide you because i think it's so
292. 9:45important you know
293. 9:46god created us different man and woman
294. 9:50and not to one lord over the other one
295. 9:53but to work together
296. 9:55help meet one another help meet each
297. 9:57other's needs and to serve god together
298. 10:00as one and i think that's what god has
299. 10:02helped james and i do so much
300. 10:04he has honored me as his wife i'm not
301. 10:07less than he
302. 10:08is he's not less than i am but we
303. 10:11are a team and and we always
304. 10:14want to move as one as god leads us
305. 10:17and it makes for a happier heart a
306. 10:20happier poem
307. 10:21a happier place a family happier family
308. 10:24when
309. 10:25when mom and dad are working together
310. 10:28not one telling the other not what to do
311. 10:30the other
312. 10:30you know always coming at one another i
313. 10:33remember when our children
314. 10:34were very very small and you know kids
315. 10:36they can play try to play
316. 10:38mom against dad they they do that very
317. 10:40well
318. 10:41and and so i remember one time when our
319. 10:43kids were attempting to do this
320. 10:45james set them all down and he said
321. 10:47let's let's make something clear
322. 10:50your mom and i are one
323. 10:53in in guiding you and training you to
324. 10:56grow up the way god wants you to
325. 10:58but also to in discipline so do not play
326. 11:01this game
327. 11:01of one against the other and i think
328. 11:04that's the way god wants it to be
329. 11:06we're a team we're one we we complement
330. 11:09the gifts that god god gave him
331. 11:10different gifts he gave me different
332. 11:12gifts but together they mesh because
333. 11:15we're not trying to over want you know
334. 11:17get over one
335. 11:18and out do one another but we're trying
336. 11:20to do what god's called us to do
337. 11:22i promise you that you know betty and i
338. 11:25really do pray for you
339. 11:27and if we were in the living room with
340. 11:29you in person you know these people love
341. 11:30us
342. 11:31i want god's best for you i want
343. 11:34god's best in every man and every woman
344. 11:37and for every child to behold the glory
345. 11:39of the lord
346. 11:41this meeting in july
347. 11:45two days is to bring men together
348. 11:49as many as come whether it's gideon's
349. 11:51army
350. 11:52or whether it's 80 000 men who decide
351. 11:56to lose their life and kingdom purpose
352. 11:58ken
353. 11:59we're not just having a gathering with
354. 12:01great anointed speakers which we've got
355. 12:04we're having a gathering to come into
356. 12:06the presence and fullness of god
357. 12:09and i think you and i have come to hear
358. 12:11something very clearly from god and
359. 12:13together as we pray
360. 12:15god cares about our dreams we too often
361. 12:17make our dreams and our goals
362. 12:19our kingdom god's building one kingdom
363. 12:22and we're either gathering or scattering
364. 12:24it's his kingdom
365. 12:26he left us here to make a kingdom impact
366. 12:28you and i seem to believe that if men
367. 12:30would lose their life
368. 12:32in his kingdom purpose the power of his
369. 12:36kingdom would shake
370. 12:37everything in this world do you agree
371. 12:39with that
372. 12:40and believe that's what we're really
373. 12:42hoping praying
374. 12:43and trusting god for we spent a lot of
375. 12:46time together and betty you're good
376. 12:47friends with my wife elliot so you know
377. 12:49that there's no lording over my wife
378. 12:52she's a tough woman and yeah
379. 12:56at the stadium look when you talk to
380. 12:58people who went to the eight the 90s
381. 13:00events they talk about that feeling of
382. 13:02hearing 80 000 men sing amazing grace
383. 13:05that
384. 13:05the feeling of i'm not alone anymore
385. 13:07they can feel the holy spirit and
386. 13:09i've heard more testimonies about men
387. 13:11who went home and fell on their knees
388. 13:12and asked their wife for forgiveness
389. 13:14because
390. 13:14they never knew any better until they
391. 13:16heard these mature men of god explaining
392. 13:18to them what it is to be a man
393. 13:20and what it is to be a man surrendered
394. 13:22to god and so we've seen
395. 13:23households change 45 percent of the
396. 13:26tickets that were bought in the 90s were
397. 13:28bought by women
398. 13:29sending their husbands and their hu and
399. 13:31their sons to the event
400. 13:32because they heard all the stories about
401. 13:34completely transformed lives
402. 13:35and transformed families and it's more
403. 13:38important than ever today because
404. 13:40we you know we're making the mistake of
405. 13:42hoping that america wakes up somehow
406. 13:43from this craziness that we're in
407. 13:45we're not going to wake up unless the
408. 13:47men of god wake us up
409. 13:49because the education system and
410. 13:52and then the homelessness the
411. 13:53fatherlessness that's going on in this
412. 13:54country
413. 13:55boys are not being taught what it is to
414. 13:57be a man they don't know what it even
415. 13:59means if you say to me james
416. 14:01can't act like a man we both know what
417. 14:03you mean by that
418. 14:04you say that to a 20 year old boy today
419. 14:08he doesn't what do you mean be act like
420. 14:09a man and so
421. 14:11we've got to remind these guys of what
422. 14:13this means that's why we have so many
423. 14:14scholarship that we're putting out
424. 14:17we're trying to bring 10 000 fatherless
425. 14:19boys and poor boys from all over texas
426. 14:21oklahoma louisiana to the event because
427. 14:24if we can get 10
428. 14:25000 fatherless boys in there to see what
429. 14:28it is to be a man imagine what those ten
430. 14:29thousand boys can do and we light them
431. 14:31up
432. 14:31and then it's not just the event but we
433. 14:33have a whole follow-up program
434. 14:35discipleship program getting guys with
435. 14:37mentors we're linking up men mature
436. 14:39godly men
437. 14:40with boys that they can teach them how
438. 14:42to be a man and so this is not just an
439. 14:44event
440. 14:45it's in a whole thing that centered
441. 14:47within local churches
442. 14:48follow-up discipleship mentorship so
443. 14:51that
444. 14:52guys are not having a mountaintop moment
445. 14:54and then leaving there not sure what to
446. 14:55do
447. 14:56we're going to help walk with them
448. 14:57throughout life this time um
449. 14:59for a long time it's in july
450. 15:02the dates july 16th and 17th friday
451. 15:05saturday
452. 15:06friday saturday and you have to register
453. 15:09there is the promise keeper's website
454. 15:12there's information
455. 15:14take note of it you can go there you can
456. 15:16get more and more details
457. 15:18but it's 75 dollars to go and when ken
458. 15:21was talking about
459. 15:23fatherless people or people that are
460. 15:24challenged it may be people who live in
461. 15:26a
462. 15:27very low income situation but boy you
463. 15:29want those men to come we're going to do
464. 15:31our best with your help
465. 15:32to help people who need that a
466. 15:34scholarship to go
467. 15:36to do that and you may say james we want
468. 15:39to help with that
469. 15:40so you could go on life today and
470. 15:44slash pk and say i want to help
471. 15:47somebody go i want to help take care of
472. 15:50their
473. 15:51ability to go and be there and do
474. 15:54whatever it takes
475. 15:55and so you can do that and we thank you
476. 15:57for that and i can promise we've already
477. 15:59given scholarships to some of these who
478. 16:02don't have
479. 16:03the resources to come even the 75
480. 16:06dollars
481. 16:07i am asking every woman betty just as
482. 16:09you said a while ago
483. 16:11if you want to see and ken talked about
484. 16:12how women paid for their
485. 16:14husbands to go and they saw their
486. 16:16husbands chains
487. 16:18encourage your husband to go you have an
488. 16:20older son encouraging because a
489. 16:22father and son and those of you who say
490. 16:25james
491. 16:26i want to help someone go there again
492. 16:30life today slash pk
493. 16:33and say i'm sending this gift just tell
494. 16:35us what it is and we'll put it in
495. 16:37ken i'm going to do everything i can in
496. 16:40every way and you know that
497. 16:42i'm encouraging everybody i'm going to
498. 16:44encourage every pastor
499. 16:45to encourage them and look those of you
500. 16:48watching right here in the united states
501. 16:50in texas really in the metroplex you
502. 16:53could feel that stadium here's what i'm
503. 16:54asking you to do
504. 16:55in prayer i want you to fill it with the
505. 16:57glory of god
506. 16:58i want you to fill it with the power of
507. 17:00god so that when those men
508. 17:03get there they have an encounter with
509. 17:04god and they lose their life to find it
510. 17:09in kingdom purpose and they will find it
511. 17:12in all the fullness
512. 17:14of who he is his love
513. 17:17his compassion his boldness
514. 17:21his delivering truth and unconditional
515. 17:24redemptive love
516. 17:25pray god fill that stadium fill it with
517. 17:28your glory
518. 17:29and fill it with men
519. 17:33that will yield their lives to your
520. 17:35glory
521. 17:36can you and i are going to stay very
522. 17:38very close for the rest of our lives
523. 17:40there's no question about that both of
524. 17:42us know
525. 17:43because of the miraculous power of god
526. 17:46we've lost our lives and we were not men
527. 17:48without dreams
528. 17:50and our father cared about our dreams
529. 17:53most people never really care about his
530. 17:55dream
531. 17:56somehow you and i and our wives and boy
532. 17:59your wife is a blessing
533. 18:01listen to me they're much alike you and
534. 18:03i are much alike
535. 18:04but we have totally lost our dream
536. 18:07in his vision and his dream amen and our
537. 18:10viewers listen
538. 18:11you've been listening to us for a long
539. 18:13time you think i've been on television
540. 18:1550 years
541. 18:16and i've been preaching this year 60
542. 18:18years
543. 18:20you know we want god's will done
544. 18:24i've said to you i believe you're the
545. 18:26remnant those of you who love
546. 18:28us you're a remnant to wake up the
547. 18:30remnant
548. 18:31that can awaken the church to witness
549. 18:35the next great awakening
550. 18:39pray for that event encourage others to
551. 18:42go
552. 18:44get your church involved in prayer and
553. 18:46filling that stadium with the glory of
554. 18:48god
555. 18:49and with men who will give their lives
556. 18:52to god
557. 18:52for his kingdom purpose can we
558. 18:57put god's arms around people that are
559. 18:58overlooked
560. 19:00we have started putting our arms now for
561. 19:02more than 30 years
562. 19:04around the least of these and our
563. 19:07viewers
564. 19:08they love it you show us a need
565. 19:12love can meet we're there i want you to
566. 19:15look in and see
567. 19:17what god's love through you can do right
568. 19:19now
569. 19:20to become a miracle in somebody's life
570. 19:23save their life
571. 19:25and point them to jesus watch closely
572. 19:52the mortality rate for children under
573. 19:54five in sub-saharan africa
574. 19:57is the highest on record worldwide
575. 20:00severe malnutrition and starvation are
576. 20:03two of the contributing factors
577. 20:05in an unrelenting food crisis causing
578. 20:08misery
579. 20:08and death it's absolutely devastating to
580. 20:13just walk through this
581. 20:14cemetery here and to see how they're
582. 20:17digging
583. 20:18graves they're preparing graves for
584. 20:20young children more than
585. 20:2210 graves that have been dug here these
586. 20:25graves don't have a name yet
587. 20:28they haven't been allocated to a child
588. 20:30but they've dug them because they know
589. 20:33their children will die in the next week
590. 20:35children
591. 20:36who don't deserve to die they don't
592. 20:39deserve to die
593. 20:40simply because they didn't have enough
594. 20:41food because their families couldn't
595. 20:44provide for them because their village
596. 20:46was ravaged by drought because they
597. 20:48didn't have
598. 20:50mission feeding you see we can stop the
599. 20:53digging of these graves
600. 20:56we can stop children from dying we can
601. 20:58stop children from
602. 20:59filling these graves we can bring the
603. 21:02cycle of death to an
604. 21:04end if we just act you give
605. 21:07mission feeding you give life life in
606. 21:10the form
607. 21:10of a bowl of food a bowl of food
608. 21:14that not only fills a stomach but
609. 21:17empties a grave
610. 21:23well betty i just uh i remember the
611. 21:27first time that i knelt there i
612. 21:29in that cemetery and it went on to where
613. 21:30they were listening to me
614. 21:32i think they were just in the hundreds
615. 21:34on their way to the first thousand but
616. 21:36it got to where it was
617. 21:37thousands i'm pretty sure it went
618. 21:39between 10 and 20 000 right there where
619. 21:41i was first
620. 21:42kneeling and now there's another one and
621. 21:45most of these little graves were
622. 21:46very small because they were children's
623. 21:49graves
624. 21:50and i remember saying to you
625. 21:53we can stop this you did it now listen
626. 21:57closely
627. 21:59i just referenced hundreds thousands
628. 22:01maybe 10 000
629. 22:03because you reached out and you saw
630. 22:05those little children
631. 22:07you saw those graves and you said well
632. 22:08stop digging graves and give life
633. 22:11your love stopped that death cycle i
634. 22:13went back there where there were
635. 22:15schools meeting in churches and little
636. 22:17children singing
637. 22:19and i remember walking away the pastor
638. 22:22of that particular school said
639. 22:23oh you're not coming back anymore now
640. 22:25that we're okay
641. 22:27because we want you to come back and we
642. 22:31we want to keep feeding them so we can
643. 22:33keep singing
644. 22:35and i had to say through an interpreter
645. 22:37and i reached out and put my arms around
646. 22:38as a little guy
647. 22:40we'll never leave you love never leaves
648. 22:42i'm gonna see you right now
649. 22:45i want you to stop the death cycle i'm
650. 22:48not exaggerating this is not total child
651. 22:50care this is miraculous
652. 22:52life-saving love 30 50 100
653. 22:56we can feed three five or ten children
654. 22:58for the next months
655. 23:01think about this a thousand dollars we
656. 23:03can feed a hundred kids
657. 23:05please go get your bank card
658. 23:10dial that number go online
659. 23:14use that bank card like a check if you
660. 23:15write a check make it to life call us
661. 23:17and tell us your money
662. 23:19please do it right now you're giving the
663. 23:21greatest miracle
664. 23:23you're giving life and pointing to the
665. 23:26life of god
666. 23:27in christ you become a demonstration of
667. 23:30it
668. 23:32across the continent of africa children
669. 23:34are suffering
