  1. 0:00And I will note here that Hartnett and
  2. 0:02all the other actors have adopted
  3. 0:03Newfoundland accents for the series. I
  4. 0:06have no idea whether the accents are
  5. 0:09accurate.
  6. 0:10>> You go on, Ollie.
  7. 0:12I just needs to stay and see this thing
  8. 0:13through.
  9. 0:14>> If that is really how people in
  10. 0:16Newfoundland speak,
  11. 0:18they should stop.
  12. 0:20You You got to stop, okay? They should
  13. 0:22not speak at all, especially not on
  14. 0:25camera, where the rest of the world
  15. 0:27might be subjected to it. And I mean no
  16. 0:29offense to the good people of
  17. 0:30Newfoundland, but it is just the worst
  18. 0:33accent I have ever heard in my my life.
  19. 0:36It is the ugliest accent of all time.
  20. 0:39Like it's it's basically what you would
  21. 0:40get if you took the most grating parts
  22. 0:42of the Canadian accent and the
  23. 0:44Pennsylvania accent and you mushed them
  24. 0:46together and then added like a
  25. 0:48tablespoon of Irish and a cup of speech
  26. 0:50impediment and a little dusting of Elmer
  27. 0:53Fudd. It is an ungodly sound. It is the
  28. 0:56sound of some ancient curse issuing
  29. 0:58forth from the bowels of the earth. It
  30. 1:00is such a bad accent that the New Jersey
  31. 1:03accent sounds like a romance language by
  32. 1:05comparison. But even this I could
  33. 1:08forgive if the show were competently
  34. 1:10made or at least watchable or at least
  35. 1:12not the most unpleasant thing anyone has
  36. 1:15ever put on film to include the
  37. 1:17Hindenburg crash and the JFK
  38. 1:18assassination.
