Full transcript
- 0:07Social media cannot stop talking about
- 0:09Jude Bellingham and Erling Holland's
- 0:11iconic bromance. Even though they play
- 0:13for different clubs and countries now,
- 0:15their friendship is completely
- 0:16unmatched. Here is [music] why they are
- 0:18football's favorite duo.
- 0:19>> Hello, Jude.
- 0:20>> Come on in, sir. We're talking about
- 0:22you.
- 0:23>> Hello there, sir. You all right?
- 0:26me.
- 0:27>> It all started at Dortmund when Jude
- 0:29casually crashed Holland's serious
- 0:31post-match interview to plant a massive
- 0:33kiss on his cheek.
- 0:34>> But I guess you won't stop scoring. The
- 0:36next goal 17 little kiss from Jude. How
- 0:40good was he tonight?
- 0:41>> Yeah, he's he's amazing. So, uh yeah,
- 0:43he's 18 and he's 3 years younger than
- 0:45me. It's crazy. And yeah, what can I
- 0:48say? He's he's amazing.
- 0:51[cheering]
- 0:55When told he was the second youngest to
- 0:56score in three straight Champions League
- 0:58games, Jude laughed. Can't get anything
- 1:00past that geyser.
- 1:01>> So, you're only the the second teenager
- 1:04in the Champions League the who scored
- 1:06on the first three days on the first
- 1:08three match days. Do you know you know
- 1:10who was the first one?
- 1:11>> Uh English teenager or any teenager.
- 1:13>> Any teenager.
- 1:14>> Umbling.
- 1:18Yes. No, of course. Can't get anything
- 1:20over that geyser at the minute. I swear
- 1:21to God. But yeah, sums him up.
- 1:25>> [laughter]
- 1:26>> Happy Valentine's Day, mate.
- 1:28>> Even while battling in an intense World
- 1:29Cup quarterfinal, the cameras caught
- 1:31them midame just cracking up before a
- 1:33serious setpiece.
- 1:43>> Been uh telling him good luck and uh I
- 1:47told him yesterday how good he was uh
- 1:49because he's been outstanding. So um
- 1:52he's a fantastic player. Dortmund forced
- 1:54them to read corny Valentine's pickup
- 1:55lines to each other, resulting in pure
- 1:58hilarious secondhand embarrassment.
- 2:00>> Are you from France? Because I fell for
- 2:02you. [laughter]
- 2:13>> When asked to name the absolute best
- 2:15player he's ever shared a pitch with,
- 2:17Jude didn't hesitate to pick Holland.
- 2:19>> I'll go with players I've played with,
- 2:20you know.
- 2:20>> Sure.
- 2:21>> I'll go with Erling.
- 2:23machine.
- 2:23>> Good start. But I just think, you know,
- 2:24he doesn't care who he's playing
- 2:26against, you know, what stage it is.
- 2:28Just goes out there and does his thing.
- 2:30He's not not scared of being himself.
- 2:32And that's something I really admire
- 2:33about him.
- 2:34>> His Dortmund record is crazy. His
- 2:35Champions League record is crazy. I
- 2:37don't I don't really know how he
- 2:38continues to reach those.
- 2:39>> Yeah, he's a machine, but he'll keep it
- 2:41he'll keep it going for the next 15
- 2:42years. I have no doubt.
- 2:43>> The respect goes both ways. Even after
- 2:46England knocked Norway out, a defeated
- 2:47Holland spent his interview hyping up
- 2:49his best friend. Erling, what did you
- 2:52say to to Jude at the end? It looked
- 2:54like you were having some conversations
- 2:54during the game and afterwards. And
- 2:56would you love to see him and and some
- 2:58of your Man City teammates now go on and
- 3:00win the World Cup?
- 3:02>> I mean, um Jude is a good friend. We we
- 3:05had uh two good years together in in
- 3:07Dortmund. So, uh we we keep in touch and
- 3:11everything and um and he's such a good
- 3:13guy. I've said it so many times. We we
- 3:15had so much fun together. So, uh, and
- 3:18I'm not surprised that he he scores two
- 3:20goals today and, uh, and performs the
- 3:22way he does. The only thing is that he
- 3:25he gets, um, sometimes I think he gets a
- 3:28bit too much of a of a of critic
- 3:32because, uh, he don't score enough goals
- 3:34orever whatever it is. And I think he
- 3:38don't really deserve it because I think
- 3:39he's one of the best in the world. And
- 3:41he's a midfielder. He still scores
- 3:43goals. he still managed to dribble every
- 3:47single player on the on the field. So,
- 3:49um it's just praise for Jude. I think
- 3:52he's he's unbelievable and and England
- 3:55is lucky, Madrid is lucky because
- 3:58everybody would want a Jude in the team.
- 4:11When Holland got visibly furious after a
- 4:13physical tussle, Jude walked by,
- 4:15whispered something, and instantly made
- 4:16him smile and cool down.
- 4:25[cheering]
- 4:30Like to take you to the movies, but then
- 4:33don't let you bring in your own
- 4:34[laughter] snacks.
- 4:36That's not bad, actually.
- 4:38>> Back when Jude handed out the squad's
- 4:39new gaming ratings, their instant back
- 4:41and forth banter showed exactly why they
- 4:44clicked so well.
- 4:45>> Welcome to Drew Bellingham. [laughter]
- 4:49>> FIFA 22.
- 4:52Come, come, come.
- 4:53>> You have one for me?
- 4:54>> Yeah, I have one for you. You play the
- 4:56game?
- 4:57>> Yeah, I'll play a little bit.
- 4:58>> Any good? No,
- 4:59>> I haven't played it yet.
- 5:00>> Okay, I'll play soon.
- 5:03There's the game. But we're going to
- 5:05talk about your rating.
- 5:07>> Talk to me. Talk to me.
- 5:11>> Happy?
- 5:12>> Not bad.
- 5:13>> What I want to say is that Leandowski is
- 5:1591 and Mbappe is 91.
- 5:18>> You're still happy?
- 5:20>> No comments.
- 5:22>> Informed today, so it will be 1990.
- 5:25>> Don't you think I deserve?
- 5:27>> I very much think you deserve, my
- 5:29friend. You want the game or what?
- 5:31>> Ah, sir. Thank you, sir.
- 5:33>> Enjoy, sir.
- 5:34>> Say thank you, sir. You're right. Thank
- 5:36you, mister. [snorts]
- 5:37[laughter]
- 5:39>> What a guy. Anyway, Mr. Erling Harland,
- 5:42the main man, the one you've [music]
- 5:43probably clicked this video to watch.
- 5:45He's done 88 rating. Three lessons
- 5:47[music] in Mbappe.
- 5:51Let me know. Is your name Google?
- 5:54Because [music] you have everything I'm
- 5:55searching for.
- 5:57>> Oh, mate. I'd vomit if someone said that
- 5:58to me.
- 6:00>> Honestly, all of them. Yeah,
- 6:02>> before facing each other in Europe, Jude
- 6:04admitted they still constantly call each
- 6:06other after matches just to check in and
- 6:07joke around.
- 6:08>> The big topic of course is the reunion
- 6:10of of Elling Harland first time against
- 6:13against you and his old old colleagues.
- 6:15Did you follow and watch his first games
- 6:17at Manchester City?
- 6:18>> Yeah, I'd seen I'd seen the highlights
- 6:19and stuff. we've been playing at similar
- 6:21times. So, I didn't watch it, but it was
- 6:22just opening my phone every day and
- 6:24seeing Harland 2, Harland 3, Harland 2,
- 6:27and it's, you know, it's when you've
- 6:29played with him, you don't really get
- 6:30too surprised anymore. You just kind of
- 6:32expect him to score every game and, you
- 6:34know, his records shows that he can do
- 6:36that. And I think he he will continue
- 6:38to.
- 6:39>> After the draw, did you did you talk to
- 6:40him?
- 6:40>> Yeah, we spoke a little bit on the phone
- 6:42actually when when the draw happened.
- 6:43and um he called me and then we spoke
- 6:45for a little bit about how he's getting
- 6:47on and what the game is going to be like
- 6:48and was having having a bit of a laugh.
- 6:50So, it was nice. Yeah. But um I'm
- 6:51looking forward to seeing again and
- 6:53obviously competing against him because
- 6:54he's one of the best.
- 6:55>> One year ago uh in Eastanbul after the
- 6:58Champions League game, I I don't know if
- 6:59you remember you gave him during an
- 7:01interview with the zone, you gave him a
- 7:02kiss. You remember that?
- 7:03>> I remember that. Yeah. No kissing
- 7:05tomorrow. No [laughter] kissing
- 7:06tomorrow.
- 7:06>> Why Why is he Why is Elling so lovable?
- 7:09>> I think you know he's a good player. he
- 7:11can win your games um out of nothing.
- 7:13But I think uh what makes him a really
- 7:15likable guy is is how like humble he is,
- 7:17how driven he is. You know, he's a funny
- 7:19character, but he's a good teammate to
- 7:21have in terms of, you know, for how good
- 7:24he is on the pitch. You wouldn't think
- 7:25it off the pitch. You know, he's very
- 7:26humble. Um can can speak to anyone about
- 7:30anything and that's what makes him a
- 7:31really good teammate.
- 7:32>> Your hands looks heavy. Can I [music]
- 7:34hold it for you?
- 7:37>> It's not It's not the worst though.
- 7:39>> We did. Yeah. All them. So, yeah. Happy
- 7:42Valentine's Day.
- 7:43>> Happy Valentine's Day. Hope you have a
- 7:44good one.
- 7:45>> Yeah. Hope you enjoy it.
- 7:47>> I'll be in Erling Harland.
- 7:53>> Don't.
- 7:54>> From teammates to rivals, their bond is
- 7:57completely unmatched. Drop a comment if
- 7:59you want to see them on the same team
- 8:00again.
