10. 0:21i'm here today to share a message with
11. 0:23you and a testimony
12. 0:26finally got my jaws back again my mouth
13. 0:29is back normal
14. 0:30i had my jaw broken for about 11 weeks
15. 0:33after i had an incident in las vegas and
16. 0:36uh
17. 0:37my jaw was broken and i had my mouth
18. 0:40wire shut for eight weeks
19. 0:42and then um for the last three weeks i
20. 0:44have been doing a range of motion
21. 0:45exercises and i finally got the wires
22. 0:47all the way off
23. 0:48so i just want to let you all know that
24. 0:51god is good thank you lord
25. 0:53i can finally speak now and share my
26. 0:55messages without any uh
27. 0:57discomfort or irritation in my mouth so
28. 1:02the reason for this message today is
29. 1:03because i woke up this morning today is
30. 1:05june the 12th 2021 i woke up this
31. 1:09morning
32. 1:11feeling good feeling blessed you know
33. 1:13like i said my wires just came off and
34. 1:16you know i just think back to what god
35. 1:18has done
36. 1:19you know in in my life and in the
37. 1:22people's lives around me
38. 1:23and so the topic of this message is uh
39. 1:26i'm not finished with you yet
40. 1:28i'm not finished we can get and uh i
41. 1:31woke up
42. 1:32this morning and i looked at my phone
43. 1:34checked my phone
44. 1:35here and i saw an article that popped up
45. 1:38and it was about a man in cape cod
46. 1:41connecticut
47. 1:42or whatnot um his name is michael
48. 1:45packard
49. 1:46and on friday he was uh swallowed by
50. 1:50will
51. 1:51he was swallowed by a whale while he was
52. 1:55fishing for lobsters in the ocean
53. 1:58and that really really really caught my
54. 2:02attention
55. 2:02immediately i was like oh wow you know
56. 2:05and i haven't done any sermons in quite
57. 2:07a while i have been
58. 2:08i lost a lot of confidence in myself
59. 2:10lately
60. 2:11because my mouth was wide shut but i
61. 2:13know god was working on me i was able to
62. 2:15do music and everything but
63. 2:17you know i just thought i was finished
64. 2:18you know i started the ministry last
65. 2:21last month last year or whatnot and i
66. 2:23thought i was finished i thought it was
67. 2:25over
68. 2:25once i got my jaw broken i didn't know
69. 2:28how i was gonna bounce back but i had
70. 2:29faith
71. 2:30i didn't see the end all i knew was that
72. 2:33i just wanted to heal and just eat and
73. 2:35stay healthy and try not to lose as much
74. 2:37weight as possible
75. 2:39and uh now that i woke up this morning
76. 2:42the day after getting my
77. 2:44um you know wires removed
78. 2:48this man can swallow by well i read the
79. 2:51scripture go to the book of
80. 2:53uh jonah the book of jonah was the first
81. 2:55thing that came to mind when this man
82. 2:57got swallowed by a whale
83. 2:59and i watched and did some research in
84. 3:01the news and
85. 3:03the man said that uh he felt a bump
86. 3:05while he was fishing and then next thing
87. 3:07you know
88. 3:07everything went black and he could feel
89. 3:10like something moving
90. 3:11it was black but he was moving he said
91. 3:14it was for about 30 seconds
92. 3:16and uh he said this is it i'm gonna die
93. 3:19he said this is it this is his right
94. 3:20word he said this is it i'm gonna die
95. 3:23and uh next thing you know the whale
96. 3:25went to the surface
97. 3:27shook his head and spit him out
98. 3:30and uh wells don't eat human beings
99. 3:34okay they're uh
100. 3:37they don't eat human beings they're
101. 3:39considered gentle giants
102. 3:41and they pose no threats to humans so
103. 3:44the whale didn't want to eat this man
104. 3:46just so happy he was at the wrong wrong
105. 3:48place at the wrong time
106. 3:49so they say in this world so i did some
107. 3:53research on that
108. 3:54and uh that happened because
109. 3:58as humans spend more time in the ocean
110. 4:00these days the more it happens
111. 4:02frequently there's been two well
112. 4:04incidents two times that this has
113. 4:05happened in providence town
114. 4:07where fishermen were swallowed by whales
115. 4:10so
116. 4:10uh like i said that was an interesting
117. 4:13story
118. 4:14it was off the coast of cape cod and uh
119. 4:17his name was michael packard so this is
120. 4:20what the lord has revealed to me in
121. 4:22scripture
122. 4:23as i studied the book of jonah and uh
123. 4:27the word
124. 4:27jonah means dove means dove excuse me
125. 4:30means dove
126. 4:32so uh i wanted to kind of shed light on
127. 4:36what prophetic message that this has
128. 4:40for today in today's time and why this
129. 4:43happened to this man michael packard
130. 4:45because i know he's wondering why
131. 4:47this happened to me he said this is it
132. 4:49and i'd like to know that you cry out to
133. 4:51god what happened
134. 4:53so i want you all to come with me um
135. 4:57to the book of jonah in the bible if you
136. 4:59don't have it
137. 5:00google it you can look it up later on
138. 5:02but i'm going to run through it for you
139. 5:04so the theme and message of the book of
140. 5:06jonah
141. 5:07is the mercy of god okay to the gentile
142. 5:11nations
143. 5:12and uh lately there has been debate on
144. 5:14social media about the color of jesus
145. 5:17and
146. 5:18and who the jews were and who the
147. 5:19gentiles are and who
148. 5:21exactly jesus came to save
149. 5:24and hopefully this recent incident will
150. 5:28add
151. 5:28more clarity on the grace of god okay
152. 5:31and his power
153. 5:33and purpose for modern day american
154. 5:35israel
155. 5:36right here right now today um that we
156. 5:39might discover the truth of god's
157. 5:41concern for us
158. 5:42for the entire creation and that
159. 5:46she may better understand her own role
160. 5:49our own roles and carrying out god's
161. 5:52concern for us
162. 5:54so in the beginning of jonah
163. 5:58um he was asleep
164. 6:01jonah was asleep we're going to go
165. 6:03through the beginning of don't hook up
166. 6:04jonah you sleep
167. 6:06i'm going to read jonah verse 1. it says
168. 6:09the word of the lord came to jonah the
169. 6:11son of
170. 6:12amethyst saying arise go to nineveh
171. 6:15the great city and cry against it for
172. 6:18their wickedness has come up before me
173. 6:21so jonah was given an assignment he'd
174. 6:23sleep
175. 6:24he woke up god told him wake up rise up
176. 6:28right and he told him to go to nineveh
177. 6:31great city
178. 6:32and cry out against it for its
179. 6:34wickedness why
180. 6:36why did god want jonah to wake up and
181. 6:38cry out against nineveh
182. 6:40what's going on in nineveh here's the
183. 6:43question
184. 6:44why would god wake him up in the middle
185. 6:45of his seat and say hey go here and go
186. 6:48cry out against it the same wickedness
187. 6:50will go to genesis 18 verses 20 through
188. 6:5321
189. 6:55and it says in the word of the lord the
190. 6:57lord said
191. 6:58the outcry of sodom and gomorrah is
192. 7:01indeed great
193. 7:02and their sin is exceedingly great
194. 7:06i will go now in verse 21 i will go down
195. 7:09now and see
196. 7:11if they have done entirely according to
197. 7:13his outcry
198. 7:14which has come to me and if not i will
199. 7:16know
200. 7:17so lord already has come down all
201. 7:20knowing and all seeking
202. 7:21and has seen in her the cries of the
203. 7:23saints he's heard the mother's cries
204. 7:26he's heard the prisoners cries he's
205. 7:28heard the victims cry so
206. 7:30so he chose this one man jonah
207. 7:33which was a prophet to wake up and go
208. 7:36and cry out to the city and tell them
209. 7:37like hey
210. 7:38you guys are tripping this is not right
211. 7:41that's not right
212. 7:42we shouldn't be doing this we shouldn't
213. 7:44be saying that we should love god first
214. 7:46with all our heart
215. 7:47secondly we should love our neighbors
216. 7:48like we love ourselves so god is telling
217. 7:51them to wake up
218. 7:52and go and do this but there's so much
219. 7:54going on there's so much wickedness in
220. 7:56the land jonah's like
221. 7:58huh really why me lord
222. 8:02so jonah woke up and he fled to tarshish
223. 8:06instead from the presence of the lord so
224. 8:08he woke up he said god i'm not doing
225. 8:10that i can't do that
226. 8:11it's beyond me i can't do that
227. 8:14um it's bigger than me
228. 8:18and oftentimes we're the same way
229. 8:21we think that you know we have something
230. 8:24that comes to our mind it comes to our
231. 8:25heart
232. 8:26it wakes up wake us up in the middle of
233. 8:28the night and we're like we don't we
234. 8:30should do something
235. 8:31about it you know we hear something we
236. 8:33know we should say something we're not
237. 8:34talking about just twitter
238. 8:35tweet sometime i'm actually doing
239. 8:37something run for something
240. 8:38start something go somewhere um and we
241. 8:42don't do it
242. 8:43you know to make that move to make that
243. 8:46move we stay
244. 8:46instead or we go so
245. 8:50jonah fled in verse three of uh jonah
246. 8:54he says jonah rose up to flee to
247. 8:57tarshish from the presence of the lord
248. 8:59so he went down to joppa and he found
249. 9:02the ship which was going to tarshish and
250. 9:04he played the
251. 9:04paid the fair and went down into it
252. 9:08to go with them to tarshish from the
253. 9:11presence of the lord so he went and got
254. 9:12a boat
255. 9:13he hired some sailors and guys to take
256. 9:16him away he didn't know
257. 9:18where he was going he was going to
258. 9:19tarshish he was going somewhere else
259. 9:21you know besides where the lord wanted
260. 9:24him to go
261. 9:26so he went as far as paying to get on
262. 9:28his boat just to avoid what god told him
263. 9:31to do
264. 9:31which would go to nineveh and oftentimes
265. 9:34we do that
266. 9:34we know we should be doing something but
267. 9:37we don't do it
268. 9:38so jonah didn't believe in himself he
269. 9:40thought that the instruction god gave
270. 9:42him was too big
271. 9:43and it was beyond him so he stayed and
272. 9:46he went somewhere else
273. 9:48beyond where he shouldn't have went he'd
274. 9:49rather leave it up
275. 9:51to the community leaders like black
276. 9:53lives matter and all the other
277. 9:55politicians and
278. 9:56local churches and government he'd
279. 9:58rather leave it up to them
280. 10:00to go to nineveh and tell them it was
281. 10:02wrong you'd rather leave it up to the
282. 10:04to the voters he said i don't need to be
283. 10:06involved man what can i do i'm just me
284. 10:08god
285. 10:09it's beyond me so he didn't believe that
286. 10:12he had what it took
287. 10:13to rise up and go to a city right in the
288. 10:16middle of the trenches and cry out
289. 10:18against
290. 10:18it for the wickedness he thought he
291. 10:20would have got
292. 10:21he was just scared he was afraid he
293. 10:23didn't believe
294. 10:25so jonah paid for his little boat he hit
295. 10:27the shore he went to tarsus
296. 10:29remind you jonah wasn't a fisherman that
297. 10:31wasn't his trade
298. 10:33he didn't know how to ride boats he
299. 10:34didn't know how to
300. 10:36get get he didn't know how to navigate
301. 10:38the the hot
302. 10:39the land to see and uh the water
303. 10:42he didn't know how to navigate the land
304. 10:44like michael packard did
305. 10:46the lobster man the lobster fisherman
306. 10:48that just got swallowed by the whale
307. 10:50recently
308. 10:51he didn't know he was a prophet jonah
309. 10:52was a prophet you know he was the son of
310. 10:55hematite he was a prophet he had a plan
311. 10:58and a purpose
312. 11:00okay and i did him a wikipedia search on
313. 11:03jonah and like i said
314. 11:05it caught my attention that it says
315. 11:07clearly that jesus
316. 11:08calls himself greater than jonah and
317. 11:11promises the pharisees or
318. 11:13theologians of this day that the sign of
319. 11:16jonah is a sign of jesus's resurrection
320. 11:20so the sign that you see today
321. 11:23is the sign of jesus's resurrection we
322. 11:25take it lightly we think it was luck
323. 11:27they said he was lucky i heard the
324. 11:29newscaster say that he was lucky
325. 11:31no that man was blessed to be able to be
326. 11:34swallowed by a whale
327. 11:36and be spit out okay and live to tell a
328. 11:39story so it's up to me
329. 11:41as a spiritual leader in the spirit to
330. 11:43explain this to you that it was not look
331. 11:46that this happened that is a sign of
332. 11:48jesus's resurrection and we'll get into
333. 11:50that why
334. 11:51it symbolizes the resurrection of jesus
335. 11:54and how good
336. 11:55god is and how he will just allow things
337. 11:57to happen
338. 11:58to open our eyes and but we won't know
339. 12:01unless somebody reveals this truth to us
340. 12:04from the word of god so early christians
341. 12:08interpreters early christian
342. 12:10interpreters
343. 12:11people before me they viewed jonah as a
344. 12:14type of jesus
345. 12:15because he was in the well for three
346. 12:17days and three nights
347. 12:18and then he was spit out so now jonah's
348. 12:21in the water
349. 12:22okay doing something he wasn't supposed
350. 12:25to do
351. 12:26he's he's fishing he's riding with these
352. 12:28sailors he's out
353. 12:29going about he's going somewhere he
354. 12:31wasn't told to go
355. 12:32and then uh in verse four it says the
356. 12:35lord the lord hurled
357. 12:36a great wind on the sea and there was a
358. 12:39great storm on the sea
359. 12:41so that the ship was about to break up
360. 12:44verse 5 then the sailors became afraid
361. 12:47and
362. 12:48every man cried to his god god with the
363. 12:50lowercase
364. 12:51g don't mind you there's a difference
365. 12:53between the lowercase g
366. 12:55and the uppercase g when you're
367. 12:57mentioning god lowercase g
368. 12:59is just the low bottom god buddha
369. 13:03um you know whatever it is the sun
370. 13:07mythology those are lowercase gods but
371. 13:10the uppercase god when you see that with
372. 13:12the capital g
373. 13:13that means the almighty jehovah jehovah
374. 13:16yahweh the one alpha and mega god
375. 13:20so please when you're tweeting and
376. 13:22you're typing out there and mentioning
377. 13:23god in your
378. 13:24in your in your messages please put a
379. 13:26capital g on that because it really
380. 13:28bothers me
381. 13:29when people put a lowercase g respect to
382. 13:32god respect god when you say he
383. 13:35when you refer to god as he put a
384. 13:38capital h on that when you refer to god
385. 13:40as yours
386. 13:41your word be done put a capital y on any
387. 13:44time you're referring to god you must
388. 13:45put an
389. 13:46upper case on that because he's not a
390. 13:48lower case
391. 13:49all right so the sailors became afraid
392. 13:53in verse 5
393. 13:53the book of jonah and every man cried
394. 13:56out to his god
395. 13:57right 5 8 let's go to his god
396. 14:01kings 18 26 first kings 18
397. 14:0426 i want to break that down a little
398. 14:06bit more for you
399. 14:07because i want you to understand
400. 14:11god's right we are gods but we're not
401. 14:16the god 1826.
402. 14:20um then they took the ox which was given
403. 14:23them and they prepared it and called on
404. 14:26the name of ball
405. 14:27the morning until noon oh ball answers
406. 14:30but there was no voice and no one
407. 14:31answered
408. 14:32and they leaped about the altar which
409. 14:34they made ball
410. 14:35that could be considered buddha we pray
411. 14:38to buddha
412. 14:39and he doesn't answer back so those are
413. 14:42that's a lowercase god
414. 14:43you know the uppercase god the real god
415. 14:46he answers back he answers our prayers
416. 14:49so just uh wanted to leave that on so
417. 14:52they cried out to their god and they
418. 14:54threw the cargo which was in the ship
419. 14:56into the sea to lighten it up for them
420. 14:58but jonah
421. 14:59had gone below into the hold of the ship
422. 15:03laid down and fell asleep so all the men
423. 15:06are panicking the seas are
424. 15:08going are raving right now raging water
425. 15:11waters and raging
426. 15:12they're throwing things off the boat
427. 15:13hoping that it would lighten up the load
428. 15:15so
429. 15:16uh jonah goes down and goes to sleep
430. 15:19jesus did the same thing
431. 15:20when the seas were where when everything
432. 15:22was falling all around around
433. 15:24me went to sleep so jonah went down and
434. 15:26he went to sleep
435. 15:27a lot of the other men were praying
436. 15:30verse six so the captain approached him
437. 15:32started looking for jonah they're like
438. 15:34wait everybody here is accounted for
439. 15:36where is jonah
440. 15:38where is he at so he looked everywhere
441. 15:39of the boat
442. 15:41so uh they go down to the boat
443. 15:44to the bow and they see uh
444. 15:48jonas sleep so he says
445. 15:51get up call on your guy with the
446. 15:53lowercase g he's telling him to call on
447. 15:55your god we all called on our gods call
448. 15:57your god
449. 15:57maybe your god will answer he said
450. 15:59perhaps your god will be concerned about
451. 16:01us
452. 16:01so that we will not perish each man said
453. 16:05to his own man
454. 16:06come let us cast lots so that meanwhile
455. 16:08me we may learn to see
456. 16:10on whose account this calamity has
457. 16:12struck us
458. 16:13so they cast lots and lots fell on
459. 16:16joseph so they all figured out they all
460. 16:18put two and two together in other words
461. 16:20you all took a tally and they said hey i
462. 16:22pray
463. 16:22i pray yeah i pray to my god you pray
464. 16:24your god yeah i pray
465. 16:26but the winnings are still jonah you the
466. 16:28only one didn't pray yet man what's up
467. 16:30with you
468. 16:30why haven't you prayed yet so they said
469. 16:33to him tell us now
470. 16:34on whose account has this calamity
471. 16:37struck us
472. 16:38what is your occupation and where do you
473. 16:41come from
474. 16:42what is your country and from what
475. 16:43people are you in other words you aren't
476. 16:45a fisherman you don't fish
477. 16:47you don't look like a fisherman down
478. 16:48there sleep if you was a real fisherman
479. 16:50you'd be up here with us trying to
480. 16:52figure out
481. 16:52how we're gonna get and navigate past
482. 16:54this storm
483. 16:55so we know something different about you
484. 16:57what are you doing here what's your
485. 16:58purpose what are you running from
486. 17:00why are you here so
487. 17:03so it became frightening so
488. 17:06okay so then he says in verse eight tell
489. 17:09us who are you like i said where are you
490. 17:11from
491. 17:12and then jonah gives them a simple
492. 17:14answer he's like man
493. 17:16they like he said to them i'm a hebrew
494. 17:20and i fear the lord god of heaven
495. 17:24who made the sea and the land drive lord
496. 17:26god with the capital g
497. 17:29he said to them i am a hebrew and i fear
498. 17:32the lord god of heaven who made the sea
499. 17:35and the land dry
500. 17:37then the then the men became in verse 10
501. 17:39then the men
502. 17:40became extremely frightened and they
503. 17:42said to him how could you do this to us
504. 17:46for the men knew that he was fleeing
505. 17:48from the presence
506. 17:50of the lord because he had told them so
507. 17:53he's saying why'd you run
508. 17:54why are you running from god why are you
509. 17:56here with us you should be doing god's
510. 17:58work shouldn't you
511. 18:01shouldn't you you should be doing god's
512. 18:04work
513. 18:04why are you here with us
514. 18:11why are you here with us okay
515. 18:14why are you here with us why are you
516. 18:16here with us
517. 18:19so then they asked him what should we do
518. 18:20with you
519. 18:23since the seat should we throw you
520. 18:25overboard i mean what should we do with
521. 18:26you like
522. 18:26you're the only one that hasn't prayed
523. 18:28like what do we do and
524. 18:30and mind you jonah still hasn't prayed
525. 18:32yet jonah could have prayed knowing that
526. 18:35god in heaven who made the sea and land
527. 18:38dry he couldn't pray
528. 18:39right then and there but he still didn't
529. 18:41why because jonah was scared
530. 18:43he was still afraid he know he wasn't
531. 18:45supposed to be there in the first place
532. 18:46he's trying to figure out figure it out
533. 18:48on his own he'd rather
534. 18:50he'd rather die he'd rather die
535. 18:53and they became afraid and every man
536. 18:55cried to his own god
537. 18:57and the sellers threw off everything but
538. 18:59he became afraid
539. 19:01and uh and like i said everybody noticed
540. 19:03someone was missing
541. 19:05and after all donald's only when he
542. 19:07wasn't he was the only one i didn't pray
543. 19:09he wasn't supposed to be there in the
544. 19:11first place because the
545. 19:12lord already had told him where to go to
546. 19:14nineveh and cry out to them for the lord
547. 19:17but he was too scared he listened to the
548. 19:20haters and the naysayers
549. 19:21and he fell out of purpose instead and
550. 19:23fell and fell out of purpose
551. 19:26so when they found out it was jonah they
552. 19:28asked him where he was from
553. 19:30and uh you know he said i'm the god
554. 19:34you know i i worship the god of heaven
555. 19:38and so after he asked him what are you
556. 19:41doing here
557. 19:42like i said jonah could have prayed he
558. 19:45knew he had already let god down so he
559. 19:47didn't want to ask god for help
560. 19:49and oftentimes we do that we're so
561. 19:51afraid of god's calling on our lives
562. 19:54we get thrown off and we'd rather live
563. 19:57outside of our purpose
564. 19:59and risk dying for it than to live in on
565. 20:01purpose
566. 20:03so then so jonah told them to throw him
567. 20:06overboard
568. 20:07so he's like man i'm i'm done i just
569. 20:10throw me overboard you guys i'm sorry
570. 20:12just throw me overboard so he said pick
571. 20:13me up
572. 20:14because they asked him they said to him
573. 20:16what should we do with you so that the
574. 20:17sea may become calm for us
575. 20:19for the seed was becoming exceedingly
576. 20:21stormy and jonah said to him in verse 12
577. 20:24pick me up and throw me into the sea so
578. 20:27that the sea will become calm for you
579. 20:29for i know that on account of me this
580. 20:31great storm has come to come
581. 20:33has come upon you it's all my fault 13
582. 20:36however
583. 20:37the men rode desperately and returned to
584. 20:39return to land but they couldn't for the
585. 20:41sea was becoming even stormier and
586. 20:43stormier against them
587. 20:44so even though they knew it was was
588. 20:47jonah's fault they they could have threw
589. 20:48him over the overboard
590. 20:50he told them throw me overboard but the
591. 20:52guys was like man we know you were man
592. 20:54of god we're not about to do that
593. 20:56right so then they was like man so they
594. 20:58tried to roll anyway they tried to
595. 21:00even they still tried to go because they
596. 21:02they that was even an act of faith
597. 21:04on behalf of the captain and his men
598. 21:06because they still
599. 21:07they believed they even though they
600. 21:09prayed to their lower case gods
601. 21:11they knew something was up with god with
602. 21:14with jonah's god
603. 21:15so they still didn't even want to throw
604. 21:17him overboard they didn't want to touch
605. 21:18him
606. 21:19so so they tried to go around and they
607. 21:21tried to get him still home safely
608. 21:23they tried to help his back but uh
609. 21:27it became even stormier even the men
610. 21:30they still didn't cry out
611. 21:32so then finally after they realized man
612. 21:34we're not getting nowhere this storm is
613. 21:36getting worse
614. 21:37then they called on the lord with a
615. 21:39capital l
616. 21:40and said we earnestly pray oh lord do
617. 21:43not let us perish
618. 21:45on account of this man's life and do not
619. 21:48put innocent blood on us
620. 21:49for you o lord have done us
621. 21:53you have done us as have done
622. 21:56as you have pleased so in other words
623. 21:58he's saying god you made your point
624. 22:01please we earnestly pray to you we sorry
625. 22:04we pray to our lord case god but we
626. 22:06believe now
627. 22:07that it is this man's fault we know you
628. 22:10got something planned for this man
629. 22:12god but i'm sorry god we're going to
630. 22:15throw him overboard
631. 22:17we have to do this so they picked him up
632. 22:19and threw him into the seat
633. 22:21and the seat stopped raging
634. 22:24so as soon as they threw him over they
635. 22:26prayed first and then they threw him
636. 22:28over
637. 22:29and it stopped and once the seed stopped
638. 22:32the men feared the lord in verse 16 then
639. 22:34the men feared the lord greatly
640. 22:36and they offered a sacrifice to the lord
641. 22:38and made valves they was like man god we
642. 22:41believe now
643. 22:42they made a sacrifice they made a
644. 22:45sacrifice when they threw the man of god
645. 22:47overboard
646. 22:49they made a sacrifice they had to do
647. 22:51what they had to do
648. 22:52and they made a vow and said lord we
649. 22:54gonna serve you from now on
650. 22:5716 hey let's let's think of valves
651. 23:00let's go to uh psalms 50 14.
652. 23:05we're going to talk about vowels when
653. 23:07they made that vow
654. 23:09to god because they they didn't believe
655. 23:11at first
656. 23:13but once they threw um good old jonah
657. 23:16overboard
658. 23:18they they knew so let's see what they
659. 23:22say about the vowels
660. 23:24that these men made
661. 23:28so 50 14.
662. 23:31psalms 50 14 amen and it
663. 23:35here in the word of the lord offer to
664. 23:37god a sacrifice of thanksgiving
665. 23:39and pay your vows to the most high verse
666. 23:4315
667. 23:43call upon me in the day of trouble i
668. 23:46shall rescue you
669. 23:48and you will honor me so they honor the
670. 23:49lord
671. 23:51and the lord appointed a great fish so
672. 23:54after that
673. 23:55jonah's in the water now it's cold it
674. 23:58will drown
675. 23:59jonah would have made it and then for
676. 24:01sure he would have never made it to
677. 24:02nineveh he would have never made it to
678. 24:04tarshish but god still had a plan
679. 24:06he said i'm not finished with you yet
680. 24:09i'm not finished with you yet so then
681. 24:12jonah
682. 24:13so then and when the lord and then the
683. 24:15lord appointed a great fish to swallow
684. 24:17jonah
685. 24:18and jonah was in the stomach of the fish
686. 24:20for three days and three nights
687. 24:23three days and three nights good old mr
688. 24:25michael
689. 24:26mr michael in cape cod was only in that
690. 24:30whale
691. 24:30for 30 minutes 30 minutes it was still a
692. 24:34number three on there that 30 minutes
693. 24:36you know they say a day to god is you
694. 24:39know is is
695. 24:40man 30 minutes to god could have been
696. 24:43three days that could have been three
697. 24:44days
698. 24:45you know so he was in there three days
699. 24:48and three nights
700. 24:50and while he was in there in chapter two
701. 24:53john would pray
702. 24:55jonah prayed michael said this is it
703. 24:58i'm done this is it but jonah prayed he
704. 25:01prayed to the lord
705. 25:03and his god from the stomach of the fish
706. 25:06he prayed from the stomach
707. 25:09jonah prayed from his stomach and he
708. 25:12said
709. 25:14god said and he prayed to his stomach
710. 25:17and he said i called out
711. 25:18of my distress to the lord and he
712. 25:22answered me
713. 25:22i cried for help from the depth of
714. 25:25shield
715. 25:26you heard my voice and you had cast me
716. 25:29into the deep into the heart of the seas
717. 25:32all the current engulfed me
718. 25:34all your breakers and billows passed
719. 25:36over so i said
720. 25:37i have been expelled from your sight
721. 25:40nevertheless i will look again towards
722. 25:42your holy temple
723. 25:44water encompassed me to the point of
724. 25:46death the great deep engulfed me
725. 25:49weeds were wrapped around my head i
726. 25:51descended to the roots of the mountains
727. 25:53he's talking about
728. 25:54why this is the this is the experience
729. 25:56that he felt
730. 25:57in jonah's in the whale's stomach
731. 26:01can you imagine michael you you were
732. 26:03you're in a
733. 26:04you get swallowed by a will and all you
734. 26:06can see is
735. 26:07a roll of 40 to 50
736. 26:10[Music]
737. 26:11uh just teeth your teeth eight inches
738. 26:16closed down are you just inside looking
739. 26:18out you moving
740. 26:19like can you just imagine that
741. 26:22oftentimes we're in that same place of
742. 26:25sickness
743. 26:27you know we're in rock bottom feeling
744. 26:29overwhelmed or pride or fear
745. 26:32or even ignorance stops us from praying
746. 26:34calling out to god so we stay stuck in
747. 26:36that same
748. 26:37same place thinking there's no way out
749. 26:39of it
750. 26:40okay we think there's no way out of it
751. 26:44but god preserved jonah for three days
752. 26:46like i said that three days
753. 26:48you know oftentimes we might get you
754. 26:50know put aside you know you might get
755. 26:52locked up or
756. 26:53you might lose that job you might have
757. 26:55been quarantined and
758. 26:57everything's opening up right now so
759. 27:00we're being spit out again
760. 27:02you know that's a symbolic of us being
761. 27:04spit out again you know
762. 27:06we've been praying crying and praying
763. 27:08out to the lord during this whole
764. 27:10pandemic
765. 27:11and now we're vaccinated and we're being
766. 27:13spit back out into society
767. 27:16so now that we're we're back here it's
768. 27:18time to go to nineveh
769. 27:20it's time to cry out it's time to cry
770. 27:23out and take this ministry to the
771. 27:24streets now
772. 27:26so uh jonah says in verse six
773. 27:30chapter two i descended to the roots of
774. 27:33the mountains
775. 27:34the earth with its bars was around me
776. 27:36forever
777. 27:37but you have brought up my life from the
778. 27:40pit
779. 27:41o lord my god while i was fainting away
780. 27:45i remembered the lord you know sometimes
781. 27:48we
782. 27:49we forget you know we faint
783. 27:52the way you know we lose our sight
784. 27:55we're at the point of death we're
785. 27:57depressed we're bitter
786. 27:59we feel like there's no hope you know
787. 28:03uh it feels like
788. 28:06we're just in the deep and then
789. 28:10we gotta remember the lord and my prayer
790. 28:13came to you
791. 28:15into your holy temple those who regard
792. 28:18vain idols
793. 28:19forsake their faithfulness but i will
794. 28:21sacrifice to you
795. 28:22with the voice of thanksgiving that
796. 28:24which i have vowed to pay
797. 28:26salvation is from the lord then the lord
798. 28:30in verse 10 then the lord commanded the
799. 28:33fish
800. 28:33and it vomited jonah up into the dry
801. 28:36land
802. 28:38the dry land the same lord god of heaven
803. 28:41who made the sea
804. 28:42and the dry land after jonah prayed
805. 28:47he spit him up you know jonah went up
806. 28:50went off went offline he went off course
807. 28:53he lost his gps signal he was in a place
808. 28:57he shouldn't have been
809. 28:58michael was in a michael was where he
810. 29:00was supposed to be he was a fisherman
811. 29:02for michael i want you to know that god
812. 29:05allowed this as a symbolic reason for us
813. 29:08to repent so jonah's out of the well
814. 29:13and the word of the lord came to him
815. 29:15again the second time
816. 29:16in verse in chapter three so lord god
817. 29:19said i'm not finished with you yet
818. 29:21right god said i'm not finished with you
819. 29:23yet john you thought it was that easy to
820. 29:26escape
821. 29:27what i had planned for you you thought
822. 29:29you was just gonna
823. 29:31you know avoid me by going to work and
824. 29:33working that nine to five
825. 29:35you thought you was gonna avoid me by
826. 29:36cutting that corner
827. 29:38and doing this and doing that well
828. 29:41that's not what i had planned for you so
829. 29:43let's try this again arise go to nineveh
830. 29:47the great city and proclaim it
831. 29:49to it the proclamation which i am going
832. 29:52to tell you so jonah arose and went to
833. 29:55nineveh
834. 29:56according to the word of the lord now
835. 29:59nineveh was an exceedingly great city at
836. 30:01three days walk
837. 30:03the same three days time that he was in
838. 30:05that belly of the well
839. 30:07he could have been there already in
840. 30:09nineveh but he decided to go off course
841. 30:11so
842. 30:12jonah could have been there a long time
843. 30:14ago but you know
844. 30:15he was too scared so god gave him a
845. 30:18second chance he said i'm not through
846. 30:20yet i need you to go to nineveh like i
847. 30:22said
848. 30:23i need you to go to nineveh but it was a
849. 30:26three days walk
850. 30:27verse four in chapter three of jonah
851. 30:29then jonah began to go through the city
852. 30:32one day's walk and he cried out and said
853. 30:35yet 40 days and nineveh will be
854. 30:37overthrown
855. 30:39so he's saying like man what am i doing
856. 30:40you are you only walk today and he's
857. 30:42like man it's taking too long like
858. 30:44by the time i get there it'll be done
859. 30:47already you know
860. 30:49then the people of nineveh began
861. 30:50believing god and they called it fast
862. 30:53and put on sackcloth from the greatest
863. 30:55to the least of them verse six when the
864. 30:57word reached the king of nineveh
865. 30:59he arose from his throne laid aside his
866. 31:01role from him
867. 31:02covered himself with sackcloth and sat
868. 31:04on the ashes
869. 31:06verse seven he issued a proclamation and
870. 31:08it said
871. 31:09in nineveh by the decree of the king and
872. 31:12his nobles
873. 31:12do not let man beast heard or flock
874. 31:15taste the thing do not let them eat or
875. 31:18drink water but both man and beast must
876. 31:20be covered with sackcloth
877. 31:21and let men call on god earnestly that
878. 31:24each
879. 31:25may turn from his wicked way and from
880. 31:27the violence which was in his hand
881. 31:30who knows god may turn and relent and
882. 31:32withdraw his burning anger so that we
883. 31:34will not perish
884. 31:36verse 10 when god saw their deeds they
885. 31:38turned away from their wicked way
886. 31:40then god relented concerning the
887. 31:43calamity which he had declared
888. 31:46he would bring upon them and he did not
889. 31:48do amen
890. 31:50so you know john owen did his thing
891. 31:54at the end of the day he went and did
892. 31:56his thing
893. 31:58you know so uh
894. 32:01god is good uh that was the word that
895. 32:04came to me today
896. 32:05that that wasn't just by chance that
897. 32:07michael got swallowed by that will
898. 32:10and that um you know uh
899. 32:15i just pray that you know this message
900. 32:17you guys go go study it for yourself
901. 32:20um i have a lot more studying to do
902. 32:22myself
903. 32:24but uh you know
904. 32:27it's all good i'm gonna read verse
905. 32:30chapter four again um
906. 32:34it says but it greatly displeased jonah
907. 32:37and he became angry he prayed to the
908. 32:40lord and said please
909. 32:41lord was not this what i said while i
910. 32:44was still in my own country therefore in
911. 32:46order
912. 32:47to forestall this i fled to tarshish
913. 32:50for i knew that you are a gracious and
914. 32:52compassionate god slow to anger and
915. 32:54abundant love and kindness
916. 32:56and one who relents concerning calamity
917. 32:59therefore now oh lord please take my
918. 33:01life from me
919. 33:02for death is better to me than life
920. 33:05the lord said do you have good reason to
921. 33:08be angry
922. 33:09then jonah went out from the city and
923. 33:11sat east of it
924. 33:13there he made a shelter for himself and
925. 33:15sat it and sat under it
926. 33:17in the shade until he could see what
927. 33:19would happen in the city
928. 33:20so the lord god appointed a plant and it
929. 33:23grew up over
930. 33:23jonah to be a shade over his head to
931. 33:26deliver him from his discomfort
932. 33:29and jonah was extremely happy about the
933. 33:31plant
934. 33:32but god appointed a worm went down
935. 33:35when dawn came the next day and it
936. 33:37attacked the plant
937. 33:38and it withered when the sun came up god
938. 33:41appointed a
939. 33:42scorching east wind and the sun beat
940. 33:44down on jonah's head
941. 33:46so that he became faint and begged with
942. 33:48all his soul to die saying death is
943. 33:50better to me than life
944. 33:52then god said to jonah do you have good
945. 33:55reason to be angry about the plant
946. 33:57and he said i have good reason to be
947. 33:59angry
948. 34:00even to death then the lord said you had
949. 34:03compassion on the planet
950. 34:05for which you did not work and which you
951. 34:07did not cause to grow
952. 34:08which came up overnight and perished
953. 34:10overnight should i
954. 34:12not have compassion on nineveh the great
955. 34:15city
956. 34:15in which there are more than a hundred
957. 34:17and twenty thousand persons
958. 34:18who do not know the difference between
959. 34:20their right and left hand
960. 34:22as well as many animals bam
961. 34:26praise god for his word now i know i
962. 34:30went through that
963. 34:31real far but that was the whole point
964. 34:34they never did
965. 34:35god no jonah didn't want to help
966. 34:38men never jonah became angry
967. 34:43jonathan jonah felt like nineveh wasn't
968. 34:45worth it
969. 34:47jonah felt none of it wasn't worth the
970. 34:49time
971. 34:51to tell them anything
972. 34:55to save them
973. 35:01but the people believed in god
974. 35:04you know the people believed in god
975. 35:07and they called it fast what made them
976. 35:11believe
977. 35:13what made them believe is when when
978. 35:15jonah told him
979. 35:18jonah told him and he went
980. 35:22according to the word of the lord
981. 35:26and he cried out and said
982. 35:30yet 40 days a nineveh will be overthrown
983. 35:33then the people of nineveh will begin
984. 35:34and god
985. 35:35believed in god because he told them
986. 35:37like 40 days
987. 35:38that's not what what god told him to
988. 35:41tell him
989. 35:44that's not what he told him to tell him
990. 35:46he told him to cry against it
991. 35:48for the wickedness has come up before me
992. 35:51but he told him he had 40 days and then
993. 35:53it would be overthrown
994. 35:55but the people got scared and then they
995. 35:57started to cry out to god
996. 35:59you know and i guess john i didn't
997. 36:02expect that
998. 36:04jonah didn't want that
999. 36:08he didn't feel like they were they were
1000. 36:09ready for that
1001. 36:11but they repented and god saw their
1002. 36:13deeds
1003. 36:15that they turned from their wicked ways
1004. 36:18so he relented concerning the calamity
1005. 36:21which he had declared on them
1006. 36:23so let's say like this vaccine we think
1007. 36:26it's the vaccine man
1008. 36:28when all along it was god man god
1009. 36:30allowed this
1010. 36:33to uh to heal and get past this calamity
1011. 36:36he allowed these doctors and these
1012. 36:37scientists to develop this
1013. 36:40you know this vaccine this so-called
1014. 36:43cure
1015. 36:44that i haven't taken yet i'm glad you
1016. 36:46have a glass she has
1017. 36:50he allowed that to happen and uh
1018. 36:53he relented concerning the calamity
1019. 36:56which he had declared
1020. 36:58he would bring upon us the same one like
1021. 37:00he did in sodom and gomorrah
1022. 37:02but you know jonathan was angry i'm mad
1023. 37:05sometime i wanted
1024. 37:07i'm mad sometimes sometimes i i want
1025. 37:09things to happen because
1026. 37:10of the wickedness in this world i feel
1027. 37:12like why god you allow this person to
1028. 37:14to thrive why do you allow that to
1029. 37:16happen when there's so much wickedness
1030. 37:19to happen but then
1031. 37:22you know and um and
1032. 37:26and but he cried he said
1033. 37:30was was not this what i said while i was
1034. 37:33still in my own country therefore in
1035. 37:36order to force all this i fled to
1036. 37:39tarshish he said i didn't want this to
1037. 37:40happen because it's happening in my own
1038. 37:42country like why should i help them when
1039. 37:44it's happening right here in my own
1040. 37:45country
1041. 37:47for i knew you were a gracious and
1042. 37:48compassionate god slow to anger and
1043. 37:50abundant in love and kindness
1044. 37:52and one who relents concerning calamity
1045. 37:55therefore now oh lord please take my
1046. 37:58life from me for death is better
1047. 38:00to me than life so he said now rather
1048. 38:02die than keep living through this
1049. 38:04crazy man me you helping these people
1050. 38:06you still allowing these people to live
1051. 38:07after all they
1052. 38:09they did therefore now please take my
1053. 38:11life
1054. 38:12so first he didn't want to go to nineveh
1055. 38:15then he
1056. 38:16he gets swallowed by the whale he
1057. 38:19because he didn't want to do what god
1058. 38:20told him to do then he finally he prays
1059. 38:24he gets spits out the well
1060. 38:25he goes to nineveh tells the people what
1061. 38:27to do
1062. 38:28god blesses them and then he's still not
1063. 38:31satisfied he's still he's still mad he's
1064. 38:33mad because he didn't want that to
1065. 38:35happen in the first place like man my
1066. 38:36people are doing bad as it is
1067. 38:38why should i help them we doing bad why
1068. 38:40should i help the asians
1069. 38:41why should i say asian lives matter when
1070. 38:43black lives matter
1071. 38:45why should i say black lives matter when
1072. 38:47brown lives matter why should i care
1073. 38:49about the blacks when the asians
1074. 38:51why why it is why why but then you see
1075. 38:53them getting blessed
1076. 38:54like why they get to get blessed why why
1077. 38:59so then the lord said do you have good
1078. 39:01reason to be angry why are you mad
1079. 39:03why are you so mad i can do whatever i
1080. 39:06want to do
1081. 39:07i'm god i love them they're my people
1082. 39:11then jonah went out from the city and
1083. 39:14sat east of it
1084. 39:15there he made a shelter for himself and
1085. 39:17sat under it
1086. 39:19in the shade until he could see what
1087. 39:21would happen in the city so he just
1088. 39:24left and he made a tent he's like man
1089. 39:27he just observed everything what god was
1090. 39:29doing he just started to watch what god
1091. 39:31was doing in the sea
1092. 39:33how god was blessing him and jonah
1093. 39:36and then so then the lord of god he
1094. 39:39planted he appointed a plant
1095. 39:42and it grew up over jonah in the shade
1096. 39:44over his head to deliver him from his
1097. 39:46discomfort and jonah was extremely
1098. 39:49happily
1099. 39:49about the plant because that's all he
1100. 39:51had he made himself an outcast you know
1101. 39:54he was
1102. 39:54he was hurt he wasn't a bad person he
1103. 39:56was just hurt he wanted the best for
1104. 39:58everybody but he didn't understand like
1105. 40:00why god was being so merciful so god
1106. 40:03gave him a plant
1107. 40:04a beautiful plant to grow and
1108. 40:07he started to care about this plant you
1109. 40:10know
1110. 40:11and it made him happy you know it made
1111. 40:13him happy
1112. 40:15and uh next thing you know god appointed
1113. 40:18a worm
1114. 40:20when the dawn came the next day and
1115. 40:22attacked the plant and it withered
1116. 40:24so the plant died while john would sleep
1117. 40:29and you know when the sun came up god
1118. 40:32appointed a
1119. 40:33scorching east wind and the sun beat
1120. 40:35down on jonah's hand so that he can't
1121. 40:37think
1122. 40:38in bed with all his soul saying death is
1123. 40:41better to me than life
1124. 40:42so his plants dying you know and then
1125. 40:46he got hot and it was hot outside he's
1126. 40:48doing bad he's like damn
1127. 40:50so then god said do you have a good
1128. 40:51reason to be angry
1129. 40:53about the plan so he's like man first he
1130. 40:56gave him a plan
1131. 40:58then he sent the worm when the dawn and
1132. 41:01attacked the plane the plant died
1133. 41:04and then now he's hot and he's like man
1134. 41:06god just killed me man i've
1135. 41:08lost my plan now it's hot i can't take
1136. 41:10it no worries i
1137. 41:12death is better for me than life
1138. 41:14yourself you're helping all these people
1139. 41:15man what
1140. 41:16what am i here for and god said to jonah
1141. 41:19do you have a good reason to be angry
1142. 41:21about the plan
1143. 41:22and he said i have good reason to be
1144. 41:24angry even to death
1145. 41:26yeah i have a good reason to be angry
1146. 41:28look what you're doing man i'd rather
1147. 41:29die
1148. 41:31then the lord said you had compassion
1149. 41:34on the planet which you didn't even work
1150. 41:37for
1151. 41:38and what you did not cause it to grow
1152. 41:41and which came up overnight
1153. 41:42and perished overnight i gave you that
1154. 41:44plan
1155. 41:46wasn't yours i gave it to you which
1156. 41:47crying for it
1157. 41:49and it died overnight it came and it
1158. 41:51went so he's saying like
1159. 41:54should i not the same way you felt about
1160. 41:56that plant
1161. 41:57when it died should i not have
1162. 42:01compassion on nineveh
1163. 42:03the great city in which there are more
1164. 42:05than a hundred and twenty thousand
1165. 42:06persons who do not know the difference
1166. 42:08between their right hand
1167. 42:10and their left hand as well as many
1168. 42:12animals
1169. 42:14who come on
1170. 42:17god is saying like stall him out
1171. 42:21chill out where's your compassion i have
1172. 42:24the same love for my people
1173. 42:26these people that are robbing stealing
1174. 42:28killing
1175. 42:30doing whatever they have to do
1176. 42:33to survive and take care of their
1177. 42:35families i have compassion on them
1178. 42:37i have compassion on that drug addict i
1179. 42:39have compassion on that prostitute
1180. 42:41i have compassion on that homosexual
1181. 42:43who's confused about his identity
1182. 42:45i have a compassion on that lesbian who
1183. 42:47thinks that she can't find a good man
1184. 42:49i got compassion on that marriage i got
1185. 42:52compassion on that
1186. 42:53i got compassion that's what god does he
1187. 42:57has compassion on us it's not too late
1188. 43:00he ain't finished with us yet he said i
1189. 43:03ain't finished with you yet
1190. 43:05okay should i not have compassion on
1191. 43:08nineveh
1192. 43:09the great city in which there are more
1193. 43:11than 120
1194. 43:12000 persons who do not know the
1195. 43:14difference between their right and left
1196. 43:16hand
1197. 43:17as well as many animals some of us don't
1198. 43:19know the difference between our right
1199. 43:21and our left hand so that's why
1200. 43:24god has allowed us to to develop a
1201. 43:27vaccine
1202. 43:28and to get this cure and he hasn't
1203. 43:30allowed the calamity
1204. 43:32to overcome us he allowed us to be in
1205. 43:36that well
1206. 43:37of covet and then we prayed and we cried
1207. 43:40out because there's people praying and
1208. 43:41crying out
1209. 43:42all the tv villain evangelicals you
1210. 43:45think this you think it's a game and
1211. 43:46it's a gimmick that these preachers and
1212. 43:48these pastors been on youtube
1213. 43:50and facebook lives just preaching
1214. 43:52sermons with nobody in their audiences
1215. 43:55no he was in the whale by ourselves
1216. 43:58in the well it was in the belly of the
1217. 44:01beast
1218. 44:02praying crying out crying out crying out
1219. 44:05for a backseat
1220. 44:07crying out for healing crying out for
1221. 44:10us to be able to still pay our bills and
1222. 44:12to be prosperous
1223. 44:15okay we were crying out now we've been
1224. 44:17spit out god says i'm not finished with
1225. 44:19you yet
1226. 44:20i still got plans for you okay
1227. 44:23some of us don't know between the
1228. 44:26difference between our left hand and our
1229. 44:27right hand so i'm here to let you know
1230. 44:29this is your left this is your right
1231. 44:32this is the bible
1232. 44:35and this is what it says that jesus
1233. 44:38loves you
1234. 44:39god loves you he loves you and he has a
1235. 44:42plan and a purpose for your life
1236. 44:44and we can't keep running away you can't
1237. 44:47keep running away
1238. 44:49cry out to the lord repent and um
1239. 44:54god will make a way for us god has a
1240. 44:56plan and a purpose for you
1241. 44:58so i just want to end this prayer on

1278. 46:12greatness is a purpose
1279. 46:14god has a plan seek ye first the kingdom

1281. 46:17and all this righteousness and all that
1282. 46:19other stuff you've been waiting and

1284. 46:22it'll be added on to you our father who
1285. 46:25art in heaven
1286. 46:26hallowed be thy name dying kingdom come

1288. 46:30on earth as it is in heaven give us this
1289. 46:33day our daily bread
1290. 46:35and forgive us our trespasses as we

1292. 46:40lead us not into temptation but deliver
1293. 46:42us from all sin and evil
1294. 46:44for god you are the kingdom you are the
