15. 0:40were you expecting was going to happen I
16. 0:43really expected us to just hang out like
17. 0:46we'd always done and um and that would
18. 0:49be the
19. 0:50day and it turned so horribly wrong it
20. 0:54really did yeah um that's not what I was
21. 0:57expecting at all are you
22. 1:00mentally emotionally ready to meet your
23. 1:03maker if that's their
24. 1:05decision well um I'm ready to meet my
25. 1:08maker but if that time should come but
26. 1:12if that's their decision it would drag
27. 1:14on for years and years
28. 1:17so it's not really contemporaneous do
29. 1:20you know what I mean mhm MH you're
30. 1:22saying you have a lot more time even if
31. 1:23you get death you still have years to
32. 1:25live is what you're saying
33. 1:27yeah why did you wait for so long long
34. 1:30to tell the truth it took a long time
35. 1:32for me to get to this point I never
36. 1:34wanted
37. 1:35to admit to this and I had written out
38. 1:39all my Suicide letters I sent my note
39. 1:42sent them all in an envelope to my
40. 1:43grandmother's do not open until November
41. 1:4610th 2008 I was hoping to be dead by
42. 1:48then I was like giving myself a little
43. 1:49time to get my Affairs in order that
44. 1:52date rolled
45. 1:53by and then more time rolled by and I I
46. 1:57was still here so with the evolution
47. 2:00of just time and the years couple of
48. 2:03years that went by it was a gradual
49. 2:04process and I began to feel not right
50. 2:08about keeping it in instead you say you
51. 2:10waited 2 years to tell the truth because
52. 2:13you were ashamed does that mean you are
53. 2:16no longer
54. 2:17ashamed no that doesn't I'm still very
55. 2:20deeply
56. 2:21ashamed it simply means that it became
57. 2:24more difficult to deal with holding it
58. 2:27in because like I said the feeling of
59. 2:30being fraudulent is was so great I
60. 2:33couldn't holding it any longer would you
61. 2:35decide to tell the truth if you never
62. 2:37got arrested I honestly don't know the
63. 2:40answer to that question at one point the
64. 2:42jury uh had a question for you and they
65. 2:45said if you hadn't been caught do you
66. 2:48think you would have turned yourself in
67. 2:51and are you sorry you got
68. 2:54caught you said you couldn't answer that
69. 2:56at the time well I couldn't answer that
70. 2:58I don't know if I would turn myself
71. 2:59myself in um I'd like to think that I
72. 3:01would MH because that would be the right
73. 3:04thing to do on the other hand
74. 3:07it's can you imagine willingly giving up
75. 3:09your freedom that's a difficult decision
76. 3:11to make so you wouldn't have done it I
77. 3:13can't say that I wouldn't have um I
78. 3:15can't say that I would have I really I
79. 3:17still don't know the answer to that
80. 3:18question um and as far as being sorry
81. 3:20that I got caught I wouldn't couch it
82. 3:21like that he got to meet my daughter and
83. 3:23holder for the first
84. 3:27time he said

87. 3:36seen I never would have thought that
88. 3:39would be the last time that I would see
89. 3:51him the nature of my brother's
90. 3:54murder has had a major impact on
91. 3:57me it's even invaded my
92. 4:01dreams I have nightmares about somebody
93. 4:04coming at me with a knife and then going
94. 4:06after my wife and my
95. 4:07daughter when I wake up I cannot
96. 4:10establish what is real what is a dream
97. 4:12I've even gone through the house
98. 4:13searching through rooms shaking my
99. 4:16family to wake them up to make sure that
100. 4:17they are
101. 4:19alive my wife has woken me up out of
102. 4:22nightmares because I was screaming in my
103. 4:25sleep it may sound childish childish but
104. 4:28I cannot sleep alone in the dark
105. 4:32anymore I've had dreams of my
106. 4:35brother all curled up in the
107. 4:38shower thrown in there left the root for
108. 4:42days all
109. 4:47alone I don't want these nightmares
110. 4:51anymore I don't want to have to see my
111. 4:53brother's murderer anymore
