9. 0:20that you do have a heart that you do
10. 0:22care that you are a good person
11. 0:25and maybe things went Askew that day

13. 0:31I'm I'm giving you scenarios with what
14. 0:34happened that day because I wasn't there
15. 0:35I don't know you know the emotions that
16. 0:39led up to it
17. 0:40was obviously a lot of emotion that's
18. 0:43very clear
19. 0:44it was a lot of emotion that day and
20. 0:47what happened
21. 0:49and so I'm giving I'm trying it's like
22. 0:52it's kind of like pulling teeth area I'm
23. 0:54trying to give you the opportunity to
24. 0:55help yourself
25. 0:58um
26. 0:59to show the world
27. 1:01to show the community to show Travis's
28. 1:04family that you're
29. 1:05you do have remorse that you are a good
30. 1:07person
31. 1:10and that doesn't benefit me in any way I
32. 1:13get no benefit out of this you know my
33. 1:15my job pays the same whether I'm sitting
34. 1:17here or at home whatever
35. 1:19I'm just I was trying to give you that
36. 1:22opportunity and I I asked if I could
37. 1:24talk to you
38. 1:25today
39. 1:27to do that
40. 1:30makes no difference to me
41. 1:35not personally
42. 1:37but it sure can make a difference for
43. 1:39you
44. 1:44and you let this eat at you
45. 1:48and it's going to destroy you

48. 1:54in a way that you wouldn't want
49. 2:00and it comes a time in somebody's life
50. 2:03there's always
51. 2:06a pinnacle in somebody's life
52. 2:09where you have the opportunity to Define
53. 2:12Who You Are
54. 2:14do you want the murder of Travis to
55. 2:17Define Who You Are
56. 2:18or do you want to take control of that
57. 2:20and do it yourself
58. 2:23everybody makes mistakes some bigger
59. 2:25than others
60. 2:27and I think this is the time in your
61. 2:29life
62. 2:30I'm trying to tell you this is the time

64. 2:35this is the time to take control more
65. 2:37than you've ever done before

68. 2:43love and care about that you have
69. 2:45remorse and that you have a heart

72. 2:54somebody that's just Stone Cold

75. 3:00clear to everybody that that you did
76. 3:03that's what they're going to see as a
77. 3:05stone cold person
78. 3:08this is your opportunity
79. 3:11to change that
80. 3:16you can't change what happened you can't
81. 3:19go back and undo it it's a done deal
82. 3:22but hopefully you're smart enough to
83. 3:24realize
84. 3:25that you can have a little bit of
85. 3:27control
86. 3:28of how you're portrayed

89. 3:39don't think that you meant
90. 3:41to hurt him I think that you really
91. 3:43cared about him and that you loved him
92. 3:46and that's why there was so much emotion
93. 3:48in that day

95. 3:52conversations that led up to it I can I
96. 3:54can only see the result

102. 4:10angry or upset or disappointed betrayed

104. 4:16and things got out of control we both
105. 4:19have betrayed each other but it was so
106. 4:20long ago you know we've and we the last
107. 4:23time we even talked about marriage on a
108. 4:25serious level was when we were still
109. 4:27dating over a year ago and the last time
110. 4:29he proposed to me once he posted me a
111. 4:32lot of times but he wasn't always
112. 4:33serious he kind of said it marry me you
113. 4:36know it was a joke
114. 4:37um but how did that make you feel when
115. 4:39you said marry me as a joke I mean did
116. 4:41you want it not not after we had broken
117. 4:43up it was kind of like laughs like it's
118. 4:45really kind that he would joke like that
119. 4:47um we would laugh you know and I took it
120. 4:50as a compliment because it's when I did
121. 4:51something that maybe in his eyes he saw
122. 4:53me as as a good person and so he'd be
123. 4:56like wow this is a good girl marry me
124. 4:57but it was it was more of a compliment
125. 4:59it wasn't a serious proposal
126. 5:01um
127. 5:02you know so marriage I just as much as I
128. 5:05love Travis I just have always there's
129. 5:07something inside that says he's not the
130. 5:09guy you're going to marry so then what
131. 5:10was it what was it that that led up to
132. 5:13all of this I mean there's got to be
133. 5:15something because I honestly don't
134. 5:16believe that you know that you're
135. 5:18cold-hearted and you you would just go
136. 5:20and just you know kill somebody on a
137. 5:22whim that doesn't fit your profile so
138. 5:25what was it that that led up to that
139. 5:28you know you you tell me you tell them

141. 5:33you tell you know Travis's family
142. 5:37what was it that you know pushed you to
143. 5:40your limit

145. 5:45I'm just trying to fill in the the holes
146. 5:47there you know and just kind of guessing
147. 5:48about the emotions
148. 5:51you know what was it that would make you
149. 5:52you know so angry or upset
150. 5:59and if you're smart you'll realize that

152. 6:05you're not going to get a whole lot of
153. 6:06other chances to do this probably not
154. 6:10once the the wheels start turning they
155. 6:12move real fast
156. 6:14and you will be out of control then
157. 6:19you won't have control over
158. 6:22your destiny so to speak
159. 6:29you know what about your your
160. 6:31spirituality
161. 6:34and your beliefs with God
162. 6:38you know if you continue to lie to
163. 6:40yourself and all of us that's one thing
164. 6:43but God knows
165. 6:46he knows what's in your heart

170. 7:04want you to repent
171. 7:07for what you've done

178. 7:25I wouldn't want all of the ugliness of
179. 7:27the lies inside of me

182. 7:37you know and and try to convince you to
183. 7:39do something for yourself if you're not
184. 7:42willing to help yourself
185. 7:44but I just wanted to give you that
186. 7:46chance this morning
187. 7:50it's it's clear it's Crystal Clear to
188. 7:53anybody who looks at this case
189. 7:55there is no doubt in my mind there's no
190. 7:58doubt in any of the investigators mind
191. 8:02that you are the spirit the person
192. 8:04responsible for Travis's death it's just
193. 8:07a matter of how do you want to portray
194. 8:09yourself now Jody
195. 8:11I use a cold-blooded killer or
196. 8:16are you a victim of circumstance
197. 8:20was it
198. 8:21In the Heat of passion or was it
199. 8:23calculated
200. 8:26and planned out and executed
201. 8:31which one is it going to be
202. 8:33that's how you can control things
203. 8:35for yourself right now
204. 8:43foreign
205. 8:50that can sit there during a trial and
206. 8:53see Travis's family sitting over there
207. 8:54and continue to maintain that lie in
208. 8:56yourself without it tearing you up

212. 9:10you can't bring him back he can't bring
213. 9:11his life back but you can at least
214. 9:15make things right within yourself

235. 10:28cold and Ice they know it's not about my
236. 10:31heart it's like they raised me and
237. 10:33they've moved around me forever
238. 10:36how about the rest of the people that
239. 10:38just know you um as far as an image
240. 10:41if it doesn't know you personally
241. 10:43do you care about that I care about
242. 10:46Travis's family I care very much about
243. 10:49Travis's family and I can't help the way
244. 10:51they think they hate me regardless
245. 10:53it's true that they're
246. 10:56um their feelings are probably always
247. 10:58going to be negative about you
248. 11:00um
249. 11:01you know you took their son's life they
250. 11:03they can never get over that I want to
251. 11:04take Travis's life
252. 11:05it's clear to everybody what happened
253. 11:08but I was hoping that you were smart
254. 11:10enough to realize the situation the
255. 11:12reality of the situation and
256. 11:16wanted to help yourself out
257. 11:19whether you want to maintain the charade
258. 11:21which isn't going to get you anywhere
259. 11:24or whether you want to do the right
260. 11:25thing

262. 11:35you're the one that's got to live with
263. 11:37yourself you know
264. 11:39you're the one that's got to look those
265. 11:40people in the eye
266. 11:44I have one more question it's not that I
267. 11:46haven't been listening to what you're
268. 11:47saying it's unrelated
269. 11:49um but when I took my purse I had 240 of
270. 11:52cash and from what I understand
271. 11:55this thing over in the jail they either
272. 11:57you have money on your books so you can
273. 11:59get things like
274. 12:01shampoo or whatever I don't know what I
275. 12:03would even need there
276. 12:05um
277. 12:06but what happens to my cash money well
278. 12:10it's first of all they count it all out
279. 12:11and documented so there's no question of
280. 12:13you know what was there
281. 12:16um I can I don't know
282. 12:18what the procedure is not really maybe
283. 12:20it's not your area or your
284. 12:21responsibility but who do I talk to
285. 12:23about that because my parents don't have
286. 12:24money to just keep going out and and
287. 12:26making like collect calls there all the
288. 12:28time or whatever so well I I can
289. 12:31certainly talk with um the detectives
290. 12:33and and put in a request for you and
291. 12:35I'll do that
292. 12:36um I don't I don't go back on my words
293. 12:38um
294. 12:42and I you know I don't know how much
295. 12:44longer you know you want to sit here and
296. 12:46listen to me talking but um I was hoping
297. 12:49to kind of drill something into your
298. 12:51head and wake you up and show you how
299. 12:54you can help yourself

323. 14:01I watched it work out a couple of times
324. 14:03it's super intense never my dad has
325. 14:06worked out all my life and he's the
326. 14:08bodybuilder sort of not professional
327. 14:10it's just always been really big and
328. 14:12I've seen him work out but I've never
329. 14:14seen anyone work out like Travis and
330. 14:16it's he he's just
331. 14:18yeah a couple times he was really into
332. 14:20UFC a couple times he would show me some
333. 14:23wrestling moves in it like it
334. 14:26I was just powerless you know there's no
335. 14:28there's no way out of it
336. 14:30well I tell you what I'm going to take a
337. 14:32break for a couple of minutes
338. 14:34um you still got some water I was going
339. 14:37to give you some more water
340. 14:39yeah
341. 14:41take a minute just to think about what I
342. 14:44said
