  1. 0:00profits are better
  2. 0:02than wages
  3. 0:04once i understood that i got rich
  4. 0:06profits are better than wages
  5. 0:09nobody taught me that in high school
  6. 0:11i went to college for a year and a half
  7. 0:13and never heard it
  8. 0:14i'm 25 and broke i'm not destitute i'm
  9. 0:17broke
  10. 0:18too much month at the end of the money
  11. 0:19is broke
  12. 0:21and i finally hear this philosophy
  13. 0:23profits
  14. 0:24are better
  15. 0:25than waging
  16. 0:27now here's the phrase that goes with it
  17. 0:28wages make you a living which is fine
  18. 0:32profits make you a fortune
  19. 0:34which is super fine
  20. 0:36and you can live both fine and super
  21. 0:38fine
  22. 0:38you've now got the mechanism and the
  23. 0:40ways and means to do that
  24. 0:42profits are better than wages guess what
  25. 0:44i taught this in moscow
  26. 0:46when i was teaching capitalism
  27. 0:48you know the communists had it all wrong
  28. 0:50they taught that capitalism was you know
  29. 0:52a big company that oppresses its workers
  30. 0:54i mean it was absolutely ridiculous
  31. 0:57they had mentally lost it when they came
  32. 0:59up with this ridiculous philosophy
  33. 1:01communism taught capital belongs to the
  34. 1:03state not the people
  35. 1:05and we taught all these years what
  36. 1:06capital belongs in the hands of the
  37. 1:07people not the state
  38. 1:09that's why of course kids should pay
  39. 1:11taxes because they can be capitalists
  40. 1:12and all capitalists should pay taxes and
  41. 1:14it doesn't take much to start an
  42. 1:15enterprise that makes a profit
  43. 1:18i teach kids how to have two bicycles
  44. 1:19one to ride in one to rent i mean you
  45. 1:22know how long does it take
  46. 1:24how long does it take to make a profit i
  47. 1:26mean a little ingenuity and you're on
  48. 1:27your way
  49. 1:29so profits are better than wages
  50. 1:31capitalism better than communism
  51. 1:33communism said people are too dumb and
  52. 1:36stupid
  53. 1:37to know what to do with capital so you
  54. 1:40must take capital away from all the dumb
  55. 1:43stupid people and give it to the
  56. 1:45all-wise all-knowing state
  57. 1:48and let the state run everything i mean
  58. 1:51that was communism and they devastated
  59. 1:53every country they touched i've been to
  60. 1:55east germany
  61. 1:57it's taking a trillion dollars just to
  62. 1:59clean up east germany
  63. 2:01they've already spent 500 billion they
  64. 2:03got 500 billion more to go
  65. 2:06i mean every country they touched and
  66. 2:07i've been in all of them
  67. 2:09they devastated them all with their
  68. 2:11devastating philosophy
  69. 2:13we teach capital belongs in the hands of
  70. 2:15the people
  71. 2:16that's where the ingenuity is to bring
  72. 2:17goods and services to the marketplace
  73. 2:19but once i understood this now it was so
  74. 2:22incredible
  75. 2:24profits are better than wages now when i
  76. 2:25first was recruited i'm a distributor
  77. 2:27for this little product called abunda
  78. 2:29vida
  79. 2:31and here's what my mentor said
  80. 2:33mr shelf
  81. 2:34he said mr owen you can start this
  82. 2:37miracle
  83. 2:38working business part time
  84. 2:40you don't have to go full time you can
  85. 2:42start part-time
  86. 2:43and he said if you'll devote to start
  87. 2:45with let's say 10 12 15 hours a week
  88. 2:47where you'll start making a profit
  89. 2:50here's what you can now say
  90. 2:52i'm working full-time on my job and
  91. 2:55part-time on my fortune
  92. 2:57because profits lead to fortune
  93. 2:59i got so excited about that philosophy
  94. 3:01i'm working full-time on my job but now
  95. 3:04i'm working part-time on my fortune
  96. 3:07i found a way not only to make a living
  97. 3:10you won't believe this i found a way to
  98. 3:13make a fortune
  99. 3:16can you imagine what that's like then to
  100. 3:18get up in the morning
  101. 3:20to go to work on your fortune not to go
  102. 3:22to work to pay the rent
  103. 3:24which is okay
  104. 3:26but a chance to go to work to make a
  105. 3:27fortune
  106. 3:29and i said right now i'm working
  107. 3:30part-time on my fortune and full-time on
  108. 3:32my job but it won't be long until i'll
  109. 3:34be working full-time on my fortune can
  110. 3:37you imagine what life is gonna be like
  111. 3:40now here was my first goal when i
  112. 3:42started
  113. 3:43and that was
  114. 3:44part-time i wanted to equal on my
  115. 3:48profits part-time what i was earning on
  116. 3:50my full-time job
  117. 3:51this is called the magic of part-time it
  118. 3:54is so thrilling for people to start
  119. 3:56working the business part-time
  120. 3:58because now you can work on profits and
  121. 4:00it doesn't take very long if you'll
  122. 4:02really concentrate on those 10 12 15
  123. 4:04hours a week it won't be long if you
  124. 4:06really do it right and learn some of the
  125. 4:08skills i'm going to talk about it won't
  126. 4:10be long until you can be earning as much
  127. 4:12part-time working on your fortune as you
  128. 4:15are full-time working on your job
  129. 4:17i did that in less than six months now
  130. 4:19i've got an incredible invitation
  131. 4:21i found a way part-time to work on my
  132. 4:24fortune and i'm making as much money at
  133. 4:26that as i am on my full-time job would
  134. 4:28you like to hear my story
  135. 4:30it was incredible
  136. 4:32now here was my second goal
  137. 4:35to make twice as much money part-time
  138. 4:39working on my fortune
  139. 4:42as i was working full-time on my job
  140. 4:45and i reached that in less than a year
  141. 4:47making twice as much money part-time
  142. 4:50working on my fortune
  143. 4:52as i was full-time working on my job
  144. 4:55now i've got an incredible invitation
  145. 4:57that won't quit
  146. 4:58i found a way
  147. 5:01through a unique opportunity
  148. 5:03to work part-time on my fortune
  149. 5:06and i'm now earning twice as much money
  150. 5:08as i am working full time on my job
  151. 5:11would you like to hear my story
  152. 5:14do you imagine anybody would say no i
  153. 5:15don't care to hear your story no
  154. 5:19everybody i said that to said wow yes
  155. 5:23what are you
  156. 5:24doing
  157. 5:26i said i'm glad you asked let me tell
  158. 5:28you
  159. 5:29now when i started making twice as much
  160. 5:31money part-time as full-time here's my
  161. 5:33dilemma i didn't want to go full-time
  162. 5:37and why not go full time and the reason
  163. 5:39was because i didn't want to give up my
  164. 5:42electrifying story
  165. 5:46right it was so powerful
  166. 5:49nobody could resist the invitation to at
  167. 5:51least take a look i didn't want to give
  168. 5:54it up and i hung on for i don't know how
  169. 5:56long until it was you know almost insane
  170. 5:58then finally finally reluctantly
  171. 6:02i gave up my full-time job
  172. 6:05but now you can imagine the thrill and
  173. 6:07excitement of going to work full-time
  174. 6:09on my fortune it was incredible
  175. 6:12here's the next one
  176. 6:13philosophy to help change my life it's
  177. 6:15not what happens that determines your
  178. 6:17life future it's not what happens that
  179. 6:20determines your life future
  180. 6:22it's what you do about what
  181. 6:24happens
  182. 6:25all of us are in like a little sailboat
  183. 6:28and it's not the blowing of the wind
  184. 6:29that determines your destination it's
  185. 6:31the set of the sail
  186. 6:32so jot this phrase down it's one of the
  187. 6:34best to understand kids need to
  188. 6:35understand it the same wind blows on us
  189. 6:37all
  190. 6:38the wind of disaster the wind of
  191. 6:40opportunity the wind of change
  192. 6:42the wind when it's upside down the wind
  193. 6:44when it's favorable and unfavorable the
  194. 6:46same wind blows on us all the economic
  195. 6:48wind the social wind
  196. 6:50the political wind the same wind blows
  197. 6:52on everybody the difference in where you
  198. 6:54arrive in one year three years five
  199. 6:55years the difference in arrival is not
  200. 6:57the blowing of the wind but the set
  201. 7:00of the sake
  202. 7:01and that's what learning is all about to
  203. 7:03set a better sale this year than last
  204. 7:05year
  205. 7:06to set a better sale the first six years
  206. 7:08of my economic life i wound up broke
  207. 7:09second six years i wound up rich
  208. 7:12you say well the democrats must have
  209. 7:14finally gotten power no
  210. 7:16no
  211. 7:17it was not a political change
  212. 7:20here's what changed the second six years
  213. 7:22of my economic life it was my philosophy
  214. 7:24that changed
  215. 7:25the set of the sale of better thinking
  216. 7:27correcting the errors of the past and
  217. 7:29picking up new disciplines for the
  218. 7:30future that's all i had to do at the end
  219. 7:32of the first six correct the errors of
  220. 7:34the past and then pick up some new
  221. 7:35disciplines for the future and my total
  222. 7:37life changed the second six years was
  223. 7:39totally different than the first six
  224. 7:41of my working life
  225. 7:43and guess who can do that anybody
  226. 7:46now you can keep on the same path for
  227. 7:48the next couple of years as you have the
  228. 7:49past two
  229. 7:51but if you wish to if you wish to and
  230. 7:53maybe everything's okay for you and you
  231. 7:55don't need to but if you need to make
  232. 7:56some changes i'm telling you can start
  233. 7:58doing it today so that the next two
  234. 8:00years will be drastically different than
  235. 8:02the last two
  236. 8:04and anybody who wishes to do that can
  237. 8:06and you can do it between ages 40 and 43
  238. 8:08you can do it between ages 13 and 15.
  239. 8:10you can do it between ages 60 and 62.
  240. 8:13any two years any five years that you
  241. 8:16wish to drastically change from the
  242. 8:17previous five you can do it
  243. 8:20if you wish to now this isn't written
  244. 8:22this is not a law
  245. 8:25here's what it's called opportunity
  246. 8:28but if you don't know you can change if
  247. 8:30you don't know you can drastically
  248. 8:31change your income change your future
  249. 8:33change your health change your marriage
  250. 8:34change everything if you don't know that
  251. 8:36some people then go year after year
  252. 8:38after year after year not making much
  253. 8:40change simply because they didn't get to
  254. 8:41the class they never read the book they
  255. 8:44never went to the seminar they never
  256. 8:45made the discovery
  257. 8:47they didn't seek for the knowledge of
  258. 8:48how could i make my life better and if
  259. 8:50you just rock along i'm telling you it's
  260. 8:52okay anybody can live any way they
  261. 8:54choose but i'm here to tell all of you
  262. 8:56that if you wish to it's possible
  263. 8:58to make the next three years totally
  264. 9:00different than the last three
  265. 9:03and all you have to do is just a few
  266. 9:04things
  267. 9:06so we got that one now it's not the
  268. 9:07blowing of the wind that determines your
  269. 9:09income
  270. 9:10it's not the blowing of the wind that
  271. 9:12determines your fortune it's the set of
  272. 9:14the save
  273. 9:15and that's why we gathered here today
  274. 9:16maybe i've got some ideas that'll help
  275. 9:18you with a couple of little things about
  276. 9:20setting the sale of your thinking
  277. 9:23that might drastically give you
  278. 9:26multiplied more benefit the next three
  279. 9:28years than you've gotten in the last
  280. 9:30three
  281. 9:31so it's not what happens
  282. 9:33what happens happens to everybody
  283. 9:36chevron years ago brought me in to talk
  284. 9:38to management they said mr owen you
  285. 9:40travel around the world and you're
  286. 9:41fairly knowledgeable what do you think
  287. 9:43the next 10 years are going to be like
  288. 9:45i said gentlemen i can tell you i do
  289. 9:47know the right people
  290. 9:48so they all lean forward and listen
  291. 9:50carefully and i said gentlemen the next
  292. 9:5210 years are going to be about like the
  293. 9:53last 10.
  294. 9:55the next season after fall is
  295. 9:58well i promise you that's not going to
  296. 10:00change
  297. 10:01after day comes
  298. 10:03nigh i promise you that's not gonna
  299. 10:04change
  300. 10:06here's how the last six thousand years
  301. 10:08reads if you want to make a note of jim
  302. 10:10rohn's vision of history the last six
  303. 10:12thousand years here's how it reads
  304. 10:13opportunity mixed with difficulty
  305. 10:17it's going to read like that looks like
  306. 10:18for the next 6 000 years
  307. 10:20opportunity mixed with
  308. 10:23difficulty now sometimes there seems to
  309. 10:24be more opportunity than difficulty and
  310. 10:26then sometimes there seems to be more
  311. 10:28difficulty than opportunity but the mix
  312. 10:30isn't going to chip
  313. 10:32after expansion comes
  314. 10:35recession
  315. 10:36but after recession comes
  316. 10:39expansion not to think so c is naive and
  317. 10:42once you've got just a little of this
  318. 10:44stuff settled then you know exactly what
  319. 10:47to do
  320. 10:48you know exactly what to anticipate so
  321. 10:49you can be ready
  322. 10:52now here's the next one here's what it
  323. 10:53says for things to change you have to
  324. 10:55change
  325. 10:57i was hoping the government would change
  326. 10:58and taxes would change and
  327. 11:00economics would change and my boss would
  328. 11:02change and be more generous
  329. 11:04i wished for everything to change and my
  330. 11:05teacher said no mr owen for things to
  331. 11:07change for you you have to change don't
  332. 11:09wish it was easier wish you were better
  333. 11:12once i understood this this altered the
  334. 11:14course of my life don't wish it was
  335. 11:15easier
  336. 11:17wish you were better
  337. 11:19and here's the big one don't wish for
  338. 11:21less problems wish for more skills
  339. 11:24you don't need less problems you simply
  340. 11:25need more skills don't wish for less
  341. 11:27challenge wish for more wisdom
  342. 11:30accept the challenge because you can't
  343. 11:31grow without a challenge you can't get
  344. 11:33rich without a challenge
  345. 11:35you can't fly without gravity you have
  346. 11:37to understand the challenge
  347. 11:39but that's the key is to now develop
  348. 11:41wisdom to overcome the challenge don't
  349. 11:43wish for less challenge but more wisdom
  350. 11:45and then here's one more philosophy to
  351. 11:47help change my life forever
  352. 11:48you can do the most remarkable things
