0:06eternity grows thin and heaven reaches
0:08down to shake a man or woman awake. I
0:11want to tell you about such a moment. A
0:13moment when I died, not figuratively,
0:16not emotionally. I mean, my heart
0:18stopped, my breath ceased, [music] the
0:20doctors called it, the monitors
0:21flatlined, and in that instant, I
0:24stepped out of time and into the realm
0:26where eternity speaks. Oh, I wish you
0:28could have seen what I saw. The light,
0:31not like sunlight, not like electricity,
0:34but a light that was alive, pulsing with
0:37glory, wrapping around me like a
0:39garment. And then his voice, not with my
0:41ears. No, this was deeper. [music] It
0:43vibrated in my bones, my spirit. You
0:46must go back, he said, because my people
0:48are bound and they do not know how to
0:50war. Beloved, listen to me. Jesus didn't
0:52show me streets of gold in that moment.

1:00war, where demonic thrones had been

1:04mines. And do you know what they feared

1:10half-hearted, miserable religious
1:11fasting we've turned it into, but
1:13fasting with fire. Fasting with
1:15strategy. Fasting that doesn't just ask
1:18for breakthrough, but demolishes the
1:20very gates of hell. I saw strongholds,
1:22massive, ancient, reinforced by
1:25generations of sin and agreement with
1:27darkness, crumbling like sand castles
1:29under the tide when one of God's
1:31children fasted his way. And Jesus said
1:35to me, [music] "Tell them, the enemy has
1:38studied their prayers, but he cannot
1:40withstand their fasting when they fast
1:42with my authority."
1:44Oh, somebody needs to hear this. You've
1:46prayed, you've wept, you've rebuked, but
1:48the chains still hold. Why? Because
1:50there are some demonic fortresses that
1:52will only fall when the church
1:54rediscovers the weapon heaven has
1:56already placed in our [music] hands.
1:58Jesus didn't say this kind goes out by
2:00prayer. No, he said this kind does not
2:02go out except by prayer and fasting.
2:06Matthew 17:21.
2:08Let me ask you, when was the last time
2:10you fasted with such holy violence
2:13against hell that the devil screamed
2:15over your house? When was the last time
2:18your flesh was so surrendered, your
2:20spirit so sharpened that principalities
2:23trembled at the sound of your footsteps?
2:25That's what he showed me. [music] Not a
2:28gentle suggestion, not a religious
2:30exercise, but [music] fasting as
2:32warfare, fasting as siege, fasting that
2:35doesn't just ask God to move, but
2:37commands the mountains to move in Jesus'
2:39name. And then just as suddenly as I had
2:42left, I was back. [music] Air rushed
2:44into my lungs. The doctors gasped, but I
2:47didn't come back the same because now I
2:49knew. Now I had seen. And I'm telling
2:51you tonight, the church must pass like
2:53never before or we will lose this
2:55generation to hell. Now let me show you
2:57how.
3:00There is a sound rising in the spirit, a
3:02sound of desperation, a sound of divine
3:05hunger. [music] And if you listen
3:07closely, you can hear it.
3:09It's the sound of a remnant. A people
3:12who are no longer content with powerless
3:14religion. No longer satisfied with empty
3:17routines. They're hungry. Oh, so hungry
3:20for the raw, uncontainable power of God.
3:22And do you know what heaven is waiting
3:24for? Fasting. Not the kind we've turned
3:27into a tradition. Not the kind we
3:29schedule around our comforts, but
3:31fasting that comes with fire in its
3:33bones and a war cry in its spirit.

3:36I need you to understand something
3:38tonight. Fasting is not optional. It
3:41never was. Jesus didn't say if you feel
3:44like it, maybe skip a meal and pray. No,
3:46he said when you fast. Matthew 6:16. He
3:50expected it. He modeled it. 40 days in
3:53the wilderness face to face with the
3:55devil. And he came out in the power of
3:57the spirit. Luke 4:14. That's what
4:00fasting does. It doesn't just prepare
4:02you for battle. It fills you with the
4:04very power to win the battle. But
4:06somewhere along the way, we've lost the
4:08urgency. We've let the enemy convince us
4:10that fasting is outdated, that it's too
4:13hard, that it's only for the super
4:15spiritual. And because we've believed
4:17that lie, we've been fighting with one
4:19hand tied behind our backs. We shout at
4:21the darkness, but the darkness doesn't
4:23flinch. We plead with heaven, but the
4:25answers seem delayed. Why? Because there
4:27are some doors that will only open when
4:29we fast. There are some chains that will
4:31only break when we deny our flesh and
4:33let our spirits take the lead. Look at
4:34Daniel. Oh, Daniel understood this.
4:37[music] He didn't just pray. He fasted.
4:40For 21 days, he set his face like flint.

4:44And though the enemy resisted, though
4:46principalities fought in the heavens,
4:49the moment Daniel's fast reached its
4:52climax, an angel broke through with the
4:55answer. Daniel 10:12-13.
4:59That [music] angel said, "From the first
5:02day you set your heart to understand and
5:05humbled yourself before your God, your
5:07words were heard." Do you hear that?
5:09From the first day. But the breakthrough
5:11came after the fasting. And Esther, oh
5:15my dear sister Esther, knew the stakes

5:18when an entire nation was marked for
5:20destruction. She didn't call for a

10:11whole house, the whole church, the whole
10:13nation stops eating and starts wearing

10:26Pentecost came. Nine have fasted

12:53spirit how Hammon had already signed the
12:55decree. How the noose was already around
12:58the neck, but 3 days of fasting reversed
13:02it. This is the fast for legal
13:05strongholds. For when hell has already
13:08set things in motion against you, it's
13:09[music] the divine emergency break. It
13:12stops the enemy's plan mid-sentence and

14:46isn't speaking. Some strongholds aren't

14:49distracting you. The noise, the chaos,
14:51the constant voices, they drown out
14:53heaven. But when you fast from words,
14:56when you silence the clutter, the voice
14:58of God becomes clear. Strongholds of
15:01confusion can't stand in that
15:03atmosphere. And finally, the corporate
15:05fast. This is where the big strongholds
15:08fall. When the whole church, the whole
15:10family, the whole city fast together.

15:13earthquake.
15:15In Acts 13, when the church fasted
15:18together, the Holy Spirit spoke and
15:20apostles were sent. In Jonah, when
15:23Nineveh fasted together, an entire
15:25nation was spared. This fast breaks
15:29cultural strongholds, systemic [music]
15:31strongholds, things too big for one
15:34person to tackle alone. The enemy isn't
15:36afraid of your hunger. He's afraid of
15:39what your hunger unlocks. [music] Now,

16:28stronghold still stands. Why? Because
16:30the enemy isn't afraid of your
16:32intentions. He's afraid of your
16:34consistency. He can withstand a day of
16:36your hunger, but he cannot survive a
16:39week of your obedience. Let me show you
16:41something in the spirit. When you fast
16:43once, [music] it's like striking a
16:44match. bright, sudden, but quick to
16:47fade. But when you fast consistently,

16:49it's like lighting a furnace. The heat
16:52builds, the fire intensifies, and soon
16:55everything [music] flammable in your
16:57life begins to burn. This is why Daniel
17:00fasted for 21 days. This is why Jesus
17:04fasted [music] for 40. Not because
17:07heaven is slow to answer, but because
17:10some strongholds have layers and each
17:12day of fasting peels one back. I saw in
17:15my encounter how demons keep records.
17:18They know who fast occasionally and who
17:20fast relentlessly. They know who gives
17:23up at the first sign of discomfort and
17:25who presses through until the yoke

17:29because consistency and fasting isn't
17:31just denying food. [music] It's
17:33declaring war. It's saying, "I will not

17:39But here's where many miss it. They fast
17:42with the wrong motive. Some fast to
17:45manipulate God. If I suffer enough,
17:47you'll have to answer. Others fast to
17:49impress people. Look how spiritual I am.
17:53But true fasting isn't about negotiation
17:55or performance. It's about alignment.
17:57It's saying, "God, I empty myself so you
18:00can fill me. I weaken my flesh so your
18:03spirit can lead me. And when that
18:05happens, oh, when that happens, the
18:08heavens respond like a magnet to iron. I
18:12need you to understand the enemy doesn't
18:14just attack your body during a fast. He
18:16attacks your mind. He'll bring doubt.
18:18This isn't working. He'll bring
18:20condemnation. You're not holy enough.
18:22He'll bring distraction. You can start
18:24again tomorrow. But the moment you push
18:26through, the moment you say, "No, I will
18:28finish what I started." That's the
18:30moment hell loses ground. There's a
18:32story of a man who fasted for his son.
18:35Day after day, he prayed. He denied
