- 0:00hey guys it's Sol today I release
- 0:01version 1.1 of Jesse which has numerous
- 0:04box fixes and improvements but in this
- 0:07video I want to show you the highlight
- 0:08of this release which is this new
- 0:10feature that I've been working on for
- 0:12quite a while and I'm really proud of it
- 0:14so let's get right into it if you update
- 0:16your Jesse instance you'll notice that
- 0:19there is this new section called
- 0:20strategies now let's click on it and you
- 0:23can see we have the Crea a new strategy
- 0:26button here and also the browse free and
- 0:28premium strategies which is the link to
- 0:30our strategies indexing page and by the
- 0:33way in this month I also released new
- 0:35free and premium strategies and some of
- 0:37these strategies are pretty cool and are
- 0:39beating my previous num such as this one
- 0:41so if you haven't checked out this page
- 0:42for a while now it's time to do so all
- 0:44right let's go back to Jesse if I click
- 0:47on the creating new strategy in the past
- 0:50if I were to enter a name here let's say
- 0:53test
- 0:54strategy and click on create then we
- 0:57would have to open our IDE in order to
- 1:00edit the source code of this strategy
- 1:02and we had no other choice but now if I
- 1:03click create it will immediately take me
- 1:05to this built-in editor which allows me
- 1:08to edit the source code right from
- 1:10within the dashboard you might notice
- 1:12that it looks very similar to vs code
- 1:15and that's because it is vs code in fact
- 1:17it's using the base repository of the vs
- 1:20code editor so I can do pretty much
- 1:22everything in here I can I have some
- 1:25sort of autocomplete and I can do things
- 1:29such as saving by pressing command s or
- 1:32clicking the save button here we have
- 1:34the search or I can open it by pressing
- 1:36command and F we have the copy button we
- 1:39have the delete button to delete this
- 1:41entire strategy and more now creating
- 1:44new strategy isn't exactly the reason
- 1:46why I implemented this feature the main
- 1:47reason is for people who deploy their JC
- 1:50instances on the production server and
- 1:52let's say you want to very quickly
- 1:54modify just one parameter of your
- 1:56strategy well in the past you had no
- 1:58choice but to do that with your Lo call
- 2:00IDE and updating your source code on the
- 2:03server was sometimes a bit of a hassle
- 2:05and for people who are doing this
- 2:07constantly it could have been time
- 2:08consuming but now you can just go to the
- 2:11sidebar and search for whichever
- 2:13strategy that you
- 2:15need open it source code and just edit
- 2:18it right from here and of course we also
- 2:21have a light mode as always so you can
- 2:24choose which that works best for you
- 2:26there's also a new settings page which
- 2:27you can use to customize this edit to
- 2:30your
- 2:31liking so for example I can change the
- 2:34side of the cursor I can change the font
- 2:36size the line height I can enable the
- 2:39mini
- 2:40map and I can see the changes and I will
- 2:43have a mini map just like I used to have
- 2:45in my vs code now there are so many
- 2:48improvements and Bo fixes in this
- 2:50release and if you want to know about
- 2:51those make sure to read the blog post
- 2:52that I published about this release and
- 2:54I'm going to link to it on the
- 2:55description section now by the way my
- 2:57next video is going to be about using
- 2:58the optimization mode of Jesse and I'm
- 3:00going to use it to optimize the previous
- 3:02strategy video that I published a few
- 3:04days ago if you haven't watched that one
- 3:06yet go and check it out thanks for
- 3:07watching and I'll see you in the next
- 3:09one
